Cynthia Nixon is bringing Emily Dickinson to the big screen in A Quiet Passion, and a new trailer for the Terence Davies-directed biopic shows the actress as the famed 19th-century poet.

The film follows the famously reclusive writer, who died in 1886 at the age of 55. The trailer shows her interactions with the family and friends around her, and ends with Nixon speaking lines from one of Dickinson’s most well-known poems: “Because I could not stop for death, he kindly stopped for me.”

A Quiet Passion, which also stars Jennifer Ehle, Keith Carradine, Emma Bell, and Duncan Duff, first premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in February and will screen next month at the Toronto Film Festival. A U.S. theatrical release date has not yet been set.
