It puts an incredible smile on my face :) I remember I felt the same way when I smelled Lacoste "Style in Play" after long time of not using it.

This opens very generic and ironically goes on the same way but what I liked about this is that the generic smell is done in a true way. And the freshness is admirably pure and soft

This will not stay on my shelf for a long time, I will use it.

Deep note: the patchouli in this reminds me of Acqua di gio Profumo :)

#299 in my "Tour de Fragrance"

By definition "sport" fragrances are lighter, fresher, less long-lasting than the fragrances they originate from. So, it's kinda whiny to complain when a sport fragrance lacks the powerful and persistent middle and base notes you liked in an original, or in this case, when they've really just adjusted nearly all of the notes of the original to up the sharpness and aromatic quality with more citrus, less warm spice, and tossed in some moss. To be clear, I categorize original Lanvin L'Homme as a sport fragrance also, a bit less sharp, but noticeably worse in performance than this flanker. Neither will last to lunch or even mid-morning coffee break.

As sport fragrances go, I enjoy the fresh opening of this as much as any by Azzaro, Polo, Nautica, or Lacoste. But the are pricier sports I like far better. Chanel Allure Homme Sport, Prada Luna Rossa, JPG Le Male, YSL Y, and even the Alhambra clone of Allure Homme Sport, "Alpine Homme Sport", which is actually a few bucks cheaper than this Lanvin, is far better performing. At a $25 price, this is relatively painless to toss into the donation box, but for $25 I could have at least had a nice lunch.

Lanvin Homme Sport shares a common theme with Lanvin L'Eclat D' Arpege and Lanvin Homme. I find this house can do no wrong when it comes to men's fragrances. Sport is in the salty, citrusy maritime end of the spectrum, whereas Homme is the sweet yet tamed office version and L'Eclat the aldehydic, breezy, refreshing one for the doldrums of a humid slow summer. All smell similar but they're tweaked to fit different situations, while a signature scent amongst remains possible. Their quality, performance and presentation quite highly surpasses their prices around 20-25€/100ml (I feel the need to stress this point in the current year of 2023).

I smell almost nothing. Just rubbing alcohol and old glue, perhaps. On paper, this sounded great. Good notes, inexpensive, long lasting, good for hot weather. Idk. The only scents that last on me are bois Impérial, givenchy gentleman edp,tf hombre leather, and bentley intense. Any recommendations for long lasting frags for my poor nose?

WOW, AMAZING FRAGRANCE ! Fresh, Uplifting, Elegant, Classy, Modern, Unique and Complex. I fell in love with it at first sniff. You can't go wrong with it, It smells very enjoyable, If you like L'Eau Bleue d'Issey Pour Homme EDT, You will like this one. This fragrance is fresh green with soft herbal and smooth green notes, The Combination of Herbal and Green notes smells similar to Rosemary and Eucalyptus notes that evokes me of Relaxing. It was represented by Rafael Nadal. I must tell you honestly that this Scent gives you a good feeling. I'm so happy that I have it in my collection and I really love it, Longevity is good, The Sage and The Petitgrain notes are dominant in this perfume. Highly Recommended.
Two Thumbs Up.
Bravo Lanvin !

I sampled this years ago and liked it. It smelled like lots lemon with a bit of sage. Very invigorating and cheery.

I eventually bought a bottle but was disappointed because it didn't smell the same. It smelled like lots of sage with only a little lemon. It felt like something an older woman would wear.

Fast forward several years. I kept the bottle and decided to give it a go again recently. It still doesn't smell like I remember from that first sample, but, I'm happy to say, it does smell very good to me now---more balanced, and I'm glad to have it in my collection.

GV999

Loq performance lemon scent. I thought it smells nice and fresh. Until my girlfriend asked" why is smells like a cat litter in here?" :D

nose911

The type of juice when you spray it on you gotta take a sniff from time to time. Addicting on the dry-down. Very fresh and soothing the definition of a sport type of frag. Yes, the first 10 minutes smell a little synthetic but when it settles on your skin it's great. A hidden gem and a steal for that price.

wimdeleer

exactly the same as with L'Eau Bleue d'Issey, this was a blind buy because I was hoping/thinking it would be a nice flanker of the original Lanvin which I like, but it most definitely is not to me !!!

up for sale or trade if interested (sprayed it only 4 times)
shipping from Belgium, so preferably European buyers.

Short review: Great value for money and a no brainer if you want an easy reach, affordable citrus-herbal-aquatic-musk.

Long review: I can safely place this sleeper next to Issey Miyake - L'eau Bleue d'Issey, Givenchy - Blue Label, Armani - Acqua di Gio, CK - Truth and I believe in a blind test I would choose this over the entire MFK Aqua collection. After keeping it shortlisted for some years, I finally got a bottle expecting a gem similar to L'eau Bleue d'Issey and though I didn't have a wow reaction like I did with the Issey and actually thought this is not much similar to that, I liked it a lot.

It has a great blend to start with. The official notes say a lot, but I can smell more here. I get the basil-pineapple-green leafy notes used as in CK - Truth, I get the lemon-citrus-aquatic accord of Acqua di Gio, I get herbal-lemongrass note from L'eau Bleue d'Issey, and I get a short-lived feminine floral background probably due to ionones (violet ingredients also key in pear note). The fragrance keeps its depth for an hour or so, then slowly moves closer to Acqua di Gio (similar drydown) as far as I tested (and this can change with further usage).

It's almost a little bit scary to be buying an old favourite fragrance you haven't worn in a long time. As if meeting an old friend, thinking about whether you will still get along as you used to, or perhaps, to your worst anxiety, what if you don't? I remember buying this when it was just released, back in 2009. L'homme sport smells very much like my 19-year old self. I haven't worn it since. And now it's 2022, and I'm amazed, it's still the same. The impression is not as strong, of course... you can never recreate a first impression. It's not as modern as it used to feel, but it's still... beautiful. It's certainly not the most niche, or exceptionally original composition. Sometimes that doesn't matter. Perfume is not always actually about the perfume itself, but so many other things in life.

ONE-CLASSIC-MAN

I am not a big fan of blue fragrances but I was seduced by the good reviews! So I bought it and I am very happy with that!
Lanvin Sport is one of the best sport blues to my opinion! It is fresh, aromatic, pleasant fragrance!
I like it very much!

gio

Fresh clean elegant unique sexy attractive
I can't live without it!

BASMAJ

This fragrance is so fresh and PERFECT for winter if you like citrusy fresh fragrances and find it difficult to wear them in cold weather like me...you'll probably like to wear Sport Lanvin in winter...it works just fine in my case💙

The blend is fresh cooling and yet perfectly spiced with a hint of black pepper not overly spiced at all ..just the perfect amount... Sport Lanvin has an extra openness and cool vibe that makes you feel like you want to take a deep breath...wow I'm remembering now! ..maybe because the sage and lavender both are very encouraging to inhale deeply when you smell them...I love it.

I highly recommend both together ..Lanvin Lhome EDT for the morning ..office, college or weekend mornings and Sport Lanvin for the evening or gym in the afternoon.

Performance is good 6H average designer standards ...not bad!

Sport Lanvin💙

michaeld2986

I like it. It's a great value and the scent is very pleasant. Considering the citrus notes, it does have good performace and longevity. If you're on a budget definitely consider picking up a bottle.

Lanvin L'Homme Sport.....

It is not the super fresh airy aquatic sport scent that are around en masse but it is definitely refreshing.
Before I knew that Rafa Nadal was the ambassador for this fragrance I have already associated this nice scent with tennis.
It is an elegant sporty scent and starts with a nice lingering citrus combo, fresh and warm, supported by a herbal touch from the lavender and spiced up with the black pepper note.
Not in your face but subtle..
I don't get much oakmoss but he spicy citrus and herbal combo sits nicely on musk.

Very nice and sporty elegant......safe for the office and a general good alrounder.

Housebliss

I really like this. I find that two sprays on the chest is perfect because the lovely top notes linger throughout the whole day on clothes. Projection is soft, but I've come to appreciate more subtle scents recently. After I got home from work one day I was wafting my t-shirt, and my girlfriend could smell it from 3 ft. away. It had been 12 hours since I sprayed it on my chest (two sprays).

This is one of those fragrances I bought a long time ago, but never wore. If you're like me and have too many choices, dig around a little and maybe you'll be surprised by what you actually have. I'll be wearing this continuously now.

It doesn't really smell like a typical sport fragrance (in my opinion). It has a more classic and smooth character, and it's never harsh or overly synthetic.

One of my favourites at the moment, and I find it much better smelling than the original L'homme.

Br0wnsfn34

An outdoorsman's signature scent!
I got this fragrance in a haul when I got stimulus check around New Year's.. Sprayed it liked it and put it in my drawer with my sprin/summer collection.. Decided to try it out tonight and oh man! This stuff is really good.. Something I would expect someone who has a passion for the outdoors to wear in those nice spring/summer days.. This does come off mossy but not too much.. I got a trip in June to Missoula, Montana and I think I know which bottle im taking.. I think with the mountain air this should go well.. Blind buy worthy..

The dry down to me is like Bleu de Chanel but it isn't offensive. It's a clean scent overall; a good skin scent too. I don't know if it's only me but I think the scent is so much better when you store it in cold storages.

sameenuk

I love this and it's pretty bargain basement but it's not a skin scent. It doesn't last long but feels absolutely great after a long shower from doing something intense and sweaty.

I think in general, it has its own very citrus musk character which I appreciate. I prefer this to Polo Sport due to the scent although this is clearly much weaker than that.

As for compliments. I don't really remember any but I would compliment someone wearing this.

matthew.wright

Nice pleasant smell. Something about it reminds me of aqua di gio in the opening. This is a perfect gym or straight out of the shower scent. Got a couple of hours longevity.

gravestamigo

Starts good, but the base is not in balance to my taste. Too simple and patchouli-heavy.

The architect

Good fragrance. I got this after I got Oxygen and before I got Lanvin PH. I would rank in in between the former two with the original being the best version as it's lighter, safer and more original. However this one adds musky aspects and an overall woodier aspect. Nice scent and recommended if you find it for under $20. Not the best in its category but respectable and wearable enough. Not sure about sillage and longevity as I only wear it at night when by myself but the scent is at least an 8/10.

fragrand

Fresh, refined, elegant.

fangpi

No perfume makes me feel as fresh and clean as this Lanvin does. Green fresh, although there is some aqua going on in the background. A walk in the woods on a foggy day. Quite a long walk, as this scent's longevity is impressive. Generic freshy, so what? I love it!

TrephineArtist

Initial impressions; A very nice scent but man, it really is a soft one with zero projection, which is a real shame. I actually find the scent quite unique and well composed. I agree with the comments on a certain 'earthiness'. It's interesting, not really what I was expecting which was something more 'lemony'.

The bottle is a beautiful design and colour. For all those positives I'm left a little disappointed at the lack of strength here.

UPDATE, the day after: surprisingly long lasting on my skin and I'll whisper it but I get little similarities to Bleu de Chanel EDT in the later dry down, this was released the year before the Chanel though.

lightborn

Fresh, green, and a little earthy. A sophisticated manly fragrance, nothing groundbreaking or new to it, but a safe bet. Lasts well though; up to 12 hours later, after just putting a small amount on, you can still smell it.

parallelstream

This one is just ok to me. Smells pretty good for the most part. It’s a bit more herbal than I thought, but still very fresh and light. It just isn’t anything particularly special or interesting to me.

That being said, my wife loves this stuff and is constantly talking about how much she loves it when I wear this one. I don’t know if I would expect this to be an all-around compliment-getter, though.

I would say it’s at least worth trying to see if you (or your significant other) like it.

MAURO

Os perfumes de Lanvin são pouco conhecidos aqui no Brasil .
Lanvin L’homme Sport é uma grata surpresa. Completamente esporte. Frescor intenso e marcante. Top 10.
Not popular Lanvin in Brazil, this Sport matches completely with our climate. Top 10.

So Ive had this fragrance in my collection for couple of years now, not paying much attention to it. But lately Ive started to get back into it and boy the scent is goergeous. I still cant believe I ve overlooked this beauty so much. Have it on right now again and cant stop smelling myself. if you want to spend some 20-30 bucks for a new adition to your collection, make yoursef a favor and try this. You will be pleased. Guaranteed.Longevity a sillage is also amazing. I also own oxygene which is phenomenal as well. Have to get into some other Lanvin frags as well.
Have a nice day

Robinfv

Absolutely gorgeous. Highly sophisticated and aromatic scent, more woody than aqua. Totally different than others, a real standout but not in a screamy way. Totally top 5 for me. Bottle is gorgeous too. The only remark is that it doesn't feel like a sport scent, more of a date or work-scent. But absolutely worth trying out if you have the chance!!!

Sektor_nl

Apparently I'm a minority when it comes to this scent, but I absolutely cannot stand it. To me, it's a headache inducing, harsh combination of citruses and shaving foam, that gives off late 80's / early 90's vibes. It's a no for me.

RobbieX

Sweet, smooth, fruity, patchouli and very likable. Lasts and projects well on me. A gorgeous men's fragrance and an instant replacement when I'm out of it.

DaedalusX

I figured I’d write a review that can help others to decide to make a purchase on this scent through a blind buy. I gotta say right out of the gate that I really enjoy this scent. I like it way more than Lanvin H’omme. This being the sport version it just smells better. The opening is fresh and you get the citrus but not for long. This is not a sweet scent like other sport scents, this is more peppery, and where this one shines is in the dry down. To my nose it smells woody, but according to the pyramid there is none, so it must be the oakmoss. So what does it smell like? What’s it comparable to? Well, let me tell you, and I’m shocked that nobody else has mentioned it. This is almost an exact carbon copy of Zirh Ikon, with less of that smokey type feel. I can’t say much for the performance as I only get 2-3 hours max, and I haven’t played around with different seasons, but I also wanted to say that this isn’t sport in the sense that you can wear this in a gym or anything. Solid 7.5/10 for me.

abeskeshani

can sum1 pls tell me y fragrantica says its base notes r flowery ??

The more i wear it the more i like and understand it. Very nice fragrance. Cerulean's review below is perfect to describe all aspects of this fragrance.

A sporty character with romantic highlights. Lanvin L'Homme Sport is delivering all the 90s freshness that many other fragrances from the era do, but the major achievement is its ability to keep it elegant and mature.

Usually, lavender based aquatic/aromatics can be too casual or juvenile in character. It's remarkable that Lanvin L'Homme Sport comes across as a refreshing, crisp adult masculine that evokes spring and summer in a refined manner.

An underlying sweetness smooths out the peppery & spicy freshness and gives it its unique selling point: romance.

It's romantic, laid back and a pleasure to wear. The dominant note is lavender, and whilst synthetic, it's a beautifully smooth blue hued lavender that makes the whole composition feel breezy and "aquatic".

There seems to be only one issue: there are some fragrances in the sporty terrain that can wow you (f.e. Ralph Lauren's Polo Sport) and that leaves this Lanvin creation overshadowed.

I personally was not wowed at first sniff, but after using it during spring and summer in warm weather, I appreciated the lack of an edgy character that more interesting compositions have, I fell for its simplicity.

In the end, in the ocean of sporty aquatics a refined composition is hard to find, and this simple aromatic is effortlessly elegant.

GRAF

Ambroxan bomb with strong citruses and some lavender, quite generic. I don't like the smell, it burns my nose but I like the bottle.

aet

to my nose this opens up more herbal than citrus. A different, elegant take on a sport scent. nice and fresh with a pleasant drydown. longevity a bit lacking, but this will definitely make you standout from the "citrusy" sports crowd. inoffensive, but uniqueness would make me question whether to blind buy it.

fragrand

Very classy and subtle scent but also very week. At the start you smell lemony, sweet (in a good way) notes while in the drydown the acquatic notes are prominent, may be similar to versace pour homme class of perfume.
Ultra safe blind buy. Masculine, fresh, delicate, elegant.

Zuma_Moon

Impressive stuff from Lanvin. Ticks all the boxes for me as a fresh scent which is ideal for Summer use. I love the fresh citrus and lavender opening, combined with the smooth musk later gives this an elegant sweetness making a great easy to wear scent which receives compliments regularly.

You cant go wrong with this for the money as an easy grab non offensive, versatile scent imo. Longevity and sillage is above average for this type of scent and it really does smell more expensive than it actually is.

Quality, value and versatility! Check it out....

8/10

duncan.robertson3

Lovely Frag. Had tons of compliments. I think it’s the lavender top notes and woody base. Fades quickly though.

vaibsankhla

This is a good cologne
Lives up to the name homme sport.
Don't let the bottle fool you though, blue in colour but the smell is herbal (green) . Same in case with issey blue. Both are quiet nice. I have both and prefer this one over the blue because it's more rounded off.
It is cooling and masculine.

Starts of herbal and becomes this soft mesh of soft woody smell by its end.

Average performance
Casual daytime occasion.
Can be had for very reasonable prices.
Probs will accumulate compliments on the right guy.

7/10 give it a go!

Good peppery fruity sport scent that has depth to it. You can actually wear this outside the gym. Excellent cheapie to have in your collection. Great for leasure wear

MEA CULPA
_______________________________________________________

'L'Homme Sport' by Lanvin was among my fist blind-buy fragrances ever. After reading the comments on Fragrantica and considering it was on sale, I thought It could be that bad. It must have been my mistake in the first place, but erare humanum est...

I can still see people loving and cherishing this fragrance. Since everyone senses a scent differently, I cannot be too harsh on others. Let's just say, it's not my fragrance. I tried to wear it before and after workout, going out and to work, hoping that it might be within the situation I would be in... but it's not.

I simply don't like it.

Longevity: - 3/10
Sillage: - 2/10

All in all: 1 out of 10 (subjective) points

martinfjord

I have both L'Homme and L'Homme Sport and I must say it could be a school-example of how to turn a scent into "sporty" (something that many companies are doing wrong in my opinion). The result is a really sophisticated sport scent, that keeps you pushing in the gym, but doesnt put you in the testosterone-junkie basket:D Its a stand-out sport scent, not in a loud way, but still something that have more character and class than the avr sport scents out there.

Of course the longetivity is a big issue here, same as with the original L'Homme (and pretty much every Lanvin parfume, male or female). Its borderline ridiculous, You have an hour to impress with this one (even less on the respays)

The only way I see this making any sense, is if you apply it before your morning work-out, and take a shower and apply something else for the day, that will last a bit longer. If you can pick it up on some crazy sale (I did see 100ml going for 25 EUR inc shipping) , I would say do it, leave one in your gym bag, its fresh and classy. Cant go wrong with it.

OneRedRose

Sprayed a sample... alcohol on the onset... a few minutes later, just a bitter aquatic citrus Windex glass cleaner to my nose. The bitterness is just too much for me to wear comfortably. Reminds me of Eternity Aqua... but Aqua is a bit smoother. Not a fan of both.

joenick68

I've always liked Lavin scents and I got this a while ago, but this is the first time really wearing it. Very nice, the opening is awesome, is very fresh and not overwhelmingly citrusy, I think the lavender and sage stand out right away and made a nice impression in my brain , for me is the perfect fragrance for a brisk Spring morning. Lets see how it goes through the day, but so far I got a compliment.
Summer 2016 update:
I can't believe last time I wore it, it was May, 2015, maybe I forgot to put in my timeline, but today, I really enjoy wearing it, and I could get the herbal opening, and it settles to a very enjoyable fragrance for the rest of the day. I love the cobalt blue bottle, it looks very nice in the counter top.

Art Is

Average smell and holding power.Nothing special.

KJS88

Sage and geranium really shines through in this one. While they smell nothing alike, l'Homme Sport has that same dry-cool-damp-fresh tension that vintage Polo Blue had. Good stuff for the small price it can be had for. Wears very well in subtropical humidity. Clean, crisp, thick, and long lasting.

bigbz

Actually Lanvin Homme Sport reminded me of Nickel's Eau Maximum......both are supposed to be "fresh" scents, but end up way too herbal for my tastes when it comes to sport frags. Couldn't stand either one honestly.

But to those that enjoy this herbal-spice style of warm weather fragrance, the Lanvin and the Nickel offering are both long-lasting and great quality for the price.

RUDOLFO512

Lanvin L'Homme Sport really impressed me. I really do not go for "sport" colognes BUT I saw L'Homme Sport for a great price and said "why not?" I am very glad I took the plunge and got it. At first spray I smell lots of lavender (my 3rd favorite note) followed by a light citrus. Dries down to a peppery/lavender. This is definitely NOT a powerhouse of a cologne. It is gentle and calming. I can smell it on myself and that is all that counts. So, gents if you could sample this one do so. I think it is worth having it in your collection.

jbsbluebird

Need fresh scent and don't know what to wear? This solves the problem. Not unique or mind-blowing but simply smells good. I get slightly above average longevity. Projection also does well for the first 2 hours then dies down to a skin scent. Good casual, work, gym, spring/summer choice. It's one that's not serious and knows it. Any age could pull this off, imo. If you don't have many fragrances, are just getting into the scent game, want something fresh, or are limited on your budget, look at getting this. For the price, it's hard to beat.

Eutopist

Mellow and relaxed fragrance with decent longevity. I can't distinguish any particular notes, but let me say it reminds me original Baldessarini. Perfect for spring and fall plus it's reasonably priced which is a rare thing nowadays.

cornekopia

Love this bottle (that soft frosty blue glow) and love this fragrance. Very nice surprise, recommended to me as a cheap buy, and it made little impression at first. But after a few days, I started to notice complexities. It has an excellent morning start-of-day freshness, one that really seems optimistic without being at all sweet or cloying. More lemon than lavendar, but then the musk emerges as the day goes on, and its quite masculine and soothing. It's fresh, not at all mysterious, maybe the right word is ... bracing?

49424

Vile, linear and generic. Reminds me of Mont Blanc Legend. Then it lingers and won't go away! Come on Lanvin, you can do better than this. This smells cheap and synthetic.

Chicago Tony T

Herbs and citruses after the initial pepper opening. It is pleasant and safe. I can't see many folks hating this and on the other hand I can't see too many loving it. This is the 1st time that I have reached for it in years and I see why.

OdorMiris

Meh....very refreshing lemon opening a bit on the hard-candy side with a creamy floral note that's just barely detectable and....well, to me, that's it! A Sport scent only in name. Was hoping to make it a daily wear fragrance for here in So. Florida, but it's not working...too light, no longevity and very basic makeup...one of my poor blind buys but fortunately, did not break the bank (the only real upside!).

sensitiveJest

A very perplex, special but still noticeable blend of Lavender and Lemon! This is certainly a great one to try,and it has a good strength in changing your mood ,thanks to its wonderful citrus notes!

The only thing I expected from it was a better longevity, however the fragrance itself has a lot to say,and can fly you to another world!

bcoops

this is pretty impressive....and for 16 bucks its well worth the BB.

rfh

Im not that good as talking about notes however I bought this for my boyfriend (who is very picky clean and loves citrus scents more than other scents) as a christmas gift and he just fell in love with it wearing it everyday day/night winter/summer and became his favourite ! Its so clean gentle and has a moderate portion of all the good notes! A must have

kanak

Lanvin's L'homme sport is a fragrance of 2 parts. you have the initial citrus and pepper top notes which are really lovely and then it dries down into a very ho hum lavender musk drydown. I actually bought it because I really loved the top notes when the SA sprayed it on my arm. for the first hour and a half it's really gorgeous. after that it is pretty generic. you would have smelled a similar drydown in quite a few others. it's almost like they ran out of ideas on this one.The two halves dont really belong in the same fragrance. it's not bad but it could have been great. projection is a little restrained and longevity is a good 5 hours plus with 4 sprays. makes a good daily wear or casual frag for spring and summer and it can found for relatively cheap prices. 7 out of 10 for me. not bad but there are better options out there.

Houdini4

This scent has struck up a great balance, unlike the tennis pro it has been made for. Don't know if anyone has noticed but Rafa has one massively developed arm and one little, puny, skinny girl arm. To be fair he's evened things out a little since then.
Lanvin impressed me greatly with Avant Garde but I still didn't know what to expect from this sport fragrance having never tried the original L'Homme.
Well it's very nice indeed the opening is a little of what you've smelled before...citrus lemon CK One kind of vibe. Once the initial sharpness of the lemon dies down it becomes a mixture of fruit, can't quite place what though?
The mixture of musk and herbs is perfectly executed in my humble opinion. Leave it to dry down for a while and it turns into a gorgeous scent which rivals any sport fragrance I've ever sniffed out for freshness.

kagisho

I love the brand on clothing, but on this L'homme range I think Lanvin needs to up the game a bit. It smells good but in a cheap way, it does not match the Lanvin status. Its a fresh but strong cheapy smell. I cannot bring myself to appreciate it in a way that most people think of it. I expect way better from Lanvin. I have it and least fav from the rest.

edge42

This is really, really good! That makes 3 for Lanvin, who is probably the most under-the-radar, most underappreciated fragrance house of all time. Arpege Pour Homme and Avant Garde are absolute knockouts, and L'Homme Sport isn't far behind. In fact, for what it is L'Homme Sport is fantastic... a fresh, unique yet pleasantly sophisticated scent that is so much better than the 'sports' moniker would lead you to believe. Perfect for when you just want to feel fresh, clean and simply 'smell really good'.

Come to think of it, this is in a similar vein to Allure Homme Sport - just a great smelling fresh scent that's big on compliments and works in just about any situation. Both are more than good enough to stand on their own without the misleading 'sports' name. Like AHS, women adore this stuff!

Nick M

That pepper really smacks you in the face at first but it softens up quickly and the lemon takes over. Though the bergamont and lemon are present, it's not a standard citrusy sport scent. I would recommend sampling this first because it's unusual, although it's very affordable for a blind buy.

Joeri

Endure, ... it takes a while, but you'll totally appreciate it.

marioslg3

I was expecting some more citrus, less sweet, less fruity and more herbal. this indeed strongly reminds Baldessarini Hugo Boss although from the ingredients, i didnt expect that. not my taste more or less, i prefer Baldessarini...surely, not a sport scent, more an everday casual scent.

sameh

I just finished it 2day & I have 2 say that it's in my humble opinion better that the original version , u know a nicer fragrance , especially lemon and lavender as it works better on my skin than the original version but that is all 2 it , nothing more & nothing less as well so I m not going 2 buy it again.

Scent : 6/10

is good smell but strong like hell for me after 5 hu very bad headache

michael.j

This is so much richer, smarter and more sophisticated than most other 'sport' flankers, which are often blunt, shrill and insistent. Lanvin Sport is fruity and clever yet complex and grown-up. This is in a different league, and could easily have been marketed as a stand-alone fragrance. This deserves more attention than it gets. It's not quite perfume art, but it most certainly deserves respect. I'm going to buy a second, and maybe a third, bottle as I fear this gem may be discontinued. And it's so inexpensive.

fisken23

I'm sad to say that it smells like old mens perfume.
I throw my bottle away...

Mosschops

Nice, but there are better 'sport' scents out there. But, by no means a weak contender.

عطر بسیار خوب و ماندگار
الخصوص برای روز های گرم و داغ تابستان

yummy nice sexy and fresh smell!...8.5/10

CDGfan

I bought the tester for this back in 2009 in Dallas, during the peak of summer. Dallas is known for extremely hot and scorching weather. I wore this fragrance a lot during that summer, and really enjoyed it, works wonders in hot weather. I would not call this aquatic or sporty honestly, it is more of a chypre with a beautiful lavender/moss note blended with geranium which is what gives it a citrusy camphor like smell. Very underated and very sexy! Girls love this stuff

vitali.vitaalne

It is really awful smell. Very synthetic and very strong and long lasting. Even airfreshners smell better.

mrluctoretemergo

modern, soft and gentle, fresh as well..like a lemon hidden in a linnen basket.(a secretive yummie)

ROLDAN

No its not "another citrus" or "same sport" scent! It's one of those best sport e.d.t I ever tested! Very long-lasting, fresh & seductive. It's citrusy in it's own and very special way (compare to other citrusy-sport scent's that are very ordinary & weak...) This one has also very pleasant floral notes. Very unique fragrance, kind of classic fresh scent meets the fresh modern one in the same bottle. I can wear this elegant sport scent everywhere. Frequently get compliments. Masterpiece of Lanvin!

Cassiano

L'Homme Sport was launched in early 2009 and belongs to the Lanvin brand, a brand of perfumes with quality, good projection and durability. But when it comes to this SPORT version, we are talking about something that really deserves the title, because this perfume is ideal for those who play sports or for those who want a more “radical” footprint of a perfume.

Unlike the “summer” versions, which are weaker and, theoretically, fresher, the sports versions cannot be weak. At least they shouldn't! They must withstand the pressure of those who wear fragrances and practice physical activities all day. However, many times this does not happen. And that is why many people turn up their noses for "sport" versions of several renowned perfumes, precisely because they are too fresh, they last too little and don't innovate.

Lanvin L’Homme Sport is fantastic! The fragrance is pleasant, fresh, fruity, juicy and has excellent projection and durability. It opens with Amalfi lemon and bergamot, giving the whole citrus content to the start point. Still, on the output, pepper, and petitgrain. In the heart, it has lavender (which, frankly, I don't even notice) and sage. At the base, musk, patchouli leaves and an oakmoss that is a fundamental part in the construction of this scent, since it helps in maintaining the fragrance for hours and gives a slightly herbal touch to it.

On my skin, L’Homme Sport projected a lot during the initial four hours and then became calmer (it doesn’t mean weak), exuding less intensely and getting richer, more natural on the skin. Its duration is excellent, remaining for more than nine hours, which is a wonder for perfumes with such fruity notes and such fresh and volatile characteristics.

The coolest thing about this perfume is that it yields many compliments, leaves those who have had it with missing and it surprises those who have just met. And you, will you stand still right there?

julieanneh

Have been searching for some fragrances for my dear hubby. I got Versace man the fraiche one. Its nice but if I had smelt this one first I would have bought it instead. Guess he's going to have two soon!

Lanvin Sport, contains the freshness of spring, the citrus opening envelop the senses in a charming, yesterday for the first time I could smell this miracle and for a while I found a piece of a puzzle that has completed a memory linked to (again) a city street that displayed the first fruits of fruit while around the wet from a sudden storm that drives away the heat, and all around a hint of lemon and citrus fruit, citrus fruits themselves to a few hours after spraying
I can still make out, it's something overwhelming and it's like being able to enter the Stargate and having returned to tell the nectar of flowers and fruity freshness but also a mixture of propellant memorable feats.
night is the party begin

RobbieX

Just tried this and this juice is superb!! One of the best aromatic citruses I have tried - ever.

The patchouli carries the fragrance nicely. And the drydown is absolutely gorgeous. Longevity and sillage are great!

Lanvin L'homme Sport is a really nice scent, especially in Summer.

missk

Sport flankers can either smell mediocre or fantastic. Thankfully Lanvin's L'Homme Sport falls into the latter category. Despite having a citrusy feel, this fragrance is also a touch herbaceous, which makes it a lot more complex than other sport inspired flankers.

It opens with a crisp and refreshing blend of lemon, pepper and petit grain. It immediately struck me as something best suited to warm Summer days. The heart is mostly smooth, masculine lavender with a slightly clean edge.

I love that L'Homme Sport has a spicy, herbal feel. It would bore me silly if it was just a straight-up citrus scent. There's this strange presumption amongst consumers that all 'sport flankers' are citrusy and/or aquatic. Not necessarily. A touch of spice or herbs in a fragrance actually blends quite beautifully with natural perspiration, so I'm all for men wearing L'Homme Sport to the gym or out jogging.

Reviews on L'Homme Sport are mixed. However I suppose that's to be expected whenever lavender plays a dominant role in a fragrance's composition. You'll either love it or hate it.

The longevity isn't half bad, which came as quite a surprise. It lasted a good six or more hours on my boyfriend's skin after I sprayed him with the tester in the store. It also has moderate sillage. I recommend.

umbralll

A fragrance that combines a certain elegance –given by an old class aspect− , comfort and cleanliness sensation.

It’s start with very refresh and clean action of bergamot and lemon in the first 05 minutes. Later the lavender appears, together the sage−that gives a fresh and sweet spice note to this fragrance. And then the oakmoss, with a velvety musk , stays until the final.

For me it’s a very agreeable fragrance, discreet and jovial. For young men with a refined behavior and gentleman spirit.

Bobster

I mourn over this fragrance. You know why? Longevity issues. The scent alone is SUPERB. Think sitting on a beach watching the waves crash on the shore drinking a nice cold glass of lemonade with your blue jean shorts on and your white t-shirt resting over your shoulder. Top notes: Zesty lemon opening, middle notes: toned down a bit with a flavorful cream lavender smooth as silk, Base notes: Very faint but still there. Patchouli and musk.

Longevity? 3- and a very lenient 5 hr mark

Projection? pretty good for 30 Minutes and close to the skin through out.

Now you see why I mourn.... Amazing Scent which I give a 10 but a 3 for poor longevity. If you see this, try it before you blind buy it. Everyone's skin is different but for me I had to pass...... Bobster in mourning.... :-(

Adwan

Longer it sits on ur skin the better it smells... And after a shower
U cant imagine how.fresh is this...

Hrisi

This is my favorite male fragrance. Fresh, yet elegant. It is suitable for sport and for everyday life and office. As other have posted before me, this is not a typical sports scent. In the beginning was a little harsh, but then becomes incredibly soft, pleasant and beautifully balanced.
When I saw the perfume for the first time I grabbed the bottle, but then found that the content is even better. The longevity is very good too.
Perfect in every way - smell, durability, bottle! 10/10

Very nice fragrance very clean,i like it on my skin after an hour, longivity and price:10/10

Oli_Roche

Just bought this for a blind buy. I read a review that rated it very highly.

I love the design and looks, very manly and sporty at the same time (which you'd expect from the name).

The scent is different and fresh, which I really like. This is a different fresh to Davidoff Cool Water as that is just expensive soapy water.

It lasts for a good amount of time for the price, I think about four hours until it really starts to fade.

Overall, a great day scent for the office (or other work place). You won't be disappointed for the price that it is. I got a 30ml bottle for £9... Bargin!!

Results:

Scent: 8/10
Sillage: 8/10
Longevity: 7/10

First I did not like the opening. Far to cloying lemon and very artificial. After a while I was getting to like the fragrance. I get a lot of moss/green in the basenotes. It's different and very weird to smell the first couple of times but now I actually like it. It's a soft smell and the moss is only detectable when you're close to the skin. In general lanvin sport creates a nice soft smell which is pleasant but for people that are more evolved in the fragrance department this is not a groundbreaker. Though the moss gives something that will please any fragrancehead so it is still worth buying. Also the fragrance is very cheap.

ChristopherRiley

A strong, sporty scent which will appeal to the lovers of LaCoste Male fragrances...

I applied 6 heavy sprays..

0-2 mins – 1.75 foot projection. A fresh, but could be sickly if over applied, sport aroma, just what it says it is....but if someone was to blind fold me and make me smell this and guess who made it , then I would bet big on LaCoste and I would bet and bet until I was broke.... It’s as if someone has made a LaCoste cocktail of all of their scents to form this edt...

2 mins- 4 hours- 1.5 foot projection, it becomes more spicy on the skin but projects a light hearted, cool, refreshing sport cologne, sometimes like sport deodorant but that would be unfair

4 -5 hours – 3 inch projection

5-8 hours – Drydown more spicier, no projection

Very affordable and a very nice option for a sport cologne. Could get booring quickly however, so maybe get a 30ML and go from there... I finished my bottle and ordered another one, it is rare to find a summer, fresh frag which projects and lasts all day, and for such a small cost just makes this a no brainer

Very Good

periquito89

Grottola, right into the point! I think in the same way, and just like Baldessarini itself, that's also what happens to me as for Lanvin Sport.

enriquesolisjimenez

Grottola

I used to have this one, but then I gave it to a friend. I bought Lanvin L'Homme Sport at Nordstrom's the month it was released.

Granted, it's really not all that bad of a fragrance. It's a unique and distinctive smell, but ultimately it's derivative. Lanvin L'Homme Sports unique aroma is none other than Baldessarini (2002) by Hugo Boss, which had this very strange sweet pine/fruity citrus aroma. Lanvin L'Homme Sport rehashes this formula, albeit with a bit more lavender, and a coconut sort of smell. I guess you could say the overall effect is more playful (sporty?) than Baldessarini, a sort of Baldessarini for younger folks. The longevity and sillage are both superb.

However, as with Baldessarini, I find that Lanvin L'Homme Sport is easy to get sick of, which is exactly what happened to me. Sometimes the most unique smells are the ones that we get sick of the fastest. If you can find L'Homme Sport for a good price, try it. If you already own Baldessarini, or you've tried Baldessarini and don't like it, then don't even bother.

Awesome bottle with a cool cap.

qwerty82

Bought this scent about 1 month ago after testing it previously while on vacation.

Such a pleasant sweet scent and so easy to wear. Not offensive at all and very suitable for office / summer wear.
Longevity on me is about 4-5 hours and then it's time for a respray.

My wife was the first (of course)to compliment this scent.

Cheaper than most other scents and yet does not smell cheap.

Highly recommended.

Edit:

I am not liking this as much these days. I mainly use it at weekends. It's just ok. I'll be giving my 3/4 full bottle away soon.

dmdipentino

Yuuucckk!!
Ohh, I don't see what all of these favorable reviews are about at all. I hate it!
What a disappointment! I really 'wanted' to like it. I bought it after reading all these 'fresh, crisp, fruity, sweet' descriptions from these previous reviews. I loved the bottle, sure..., but..,
What is so 'offensive' .... is the top note! It smells very 'artificual' and sharp and pungent! Like a 'women's ' heavy perfume!
I really was disappointed.

Falasca

It starts very citrus. But there's a note in the middle of it that i dislike. Don't know why. Maybe is lavender/sage.

A "sport" fragrance very different. I agree there's a mature undertone on it.

Better on spring/fall or summer night times. Good sillage and very good longevity. Versatility very good as well. You can use it all day long, no matter what event/situation.

But if I were you, I didn't blind buy it.

vladiopa

I bought this scent based on the reviews below without ever smelling it before. I have to say that the first words that came out of my were ... "WOW!" It's not sport like most of the reviewers said but it's fresh, elegant...quite a nice combination of aromas and smells. What should I say more....I am in love with this perfume

rayees

this is very much similar to st dupont noir.

asmhfdbds

It start citrusy fruity with touch of green.
I would also say this is not a sporty scent,a little serious IMO.
Very appealing for spring and fall, and summer.
Can be worn to class and work easily day to day.
Longevity about 6 hours with moderate projection.
Lanvin prices is very convenient also.

3nigm4_br

Despite the name, do not think it is a sport version, it's still a great scent for summer, very cool and with a good projection.

It has a sweet citrus opening while it is great and the drydown is also very nice.

kcii

I love this scent! It reminds me of fresh rain, very aquatic!

safetyjon

This is my favorite fragrance from Lanvin. As many have already stated, it isn't really sporty. But I do enjoy its versatility. It's a good everyday fragrance that will not offend anyone. I find it light. The mildly sweet lemon fades slightly as the fragrance progresses; It looses its initial sharpness, but the lemon is always there. I find the lemon to be very enjoyable.

I find the lemon's transition to the base notes of patchouli, moss and musk to be very nice. Earthy, but not dark...thanks to...of course, the lemon. It also has very good longevity (8-10 hours).

It's one of my favorite lemon fragrances...Right up there with Halston 1-12 and Bvlgari Extreme PH...A big thumbs up.

Anywhereyouare

Lanvin Sport, the fragrance I like a lot. And I have my reasons.

I never find myself as a 'sport' type. I'm not quite sure what a sport scent is but I believe it should be easy, strong, maybe even spicy but still fresh/aquatic. Not too sweet, not too heavy, not too smoky.

Lanvin Sport has many of these qualities, so I consider it as a sport fragrance indeed. However, as many before me wrote, it's not a typical one. Strong, very potent, expressive - maybe like an ideal sport player, quite rubbery - like a lot of sport accesories.

But it's also very smooth - sweet but at the same time sharp lavender-citruses outstanding notes combine with warm musk and woods.

Rather earthy than watery, reminds me of sandy soil after rain.

Simplicity which I find not only nice and bright but also quite elegant and romantic. Especially for vacation evenings outside, a walk on the beach. Good choice for day-time, spring/fall.

Roqfort

I was looking for something fresh for hotter weather, and I found this. It was a blind buy, but so good.
It's not typical sporty scent, but very relaxing.
I feel very clean and fresh, and I like the bottle.
Another really good ((I've got Arpege PH) scent from Lanvin...

Mushroomfat

When I smelt this at the shop, I fell deeply in love with it. It reminded me of when I was a kid, we use to walk down a hallway at the Westfileds shopping centre and the whole left side wall was a beach canvas, and the air freshened used in that area smelt so aquatic, which provoked the urge in my brother and I to go surfing!
( I'm not saying its smells like air freshener) on the card, L'homme sport, to me, is one of the most beautiful and aquatic scents on the market.

Problem I find with it is when I actually wear it, I'm suffocating, it's very strong formula, but i actually can't smell the product, although others can and they compliment it. Try it on for a day and decide for yourself.

The scent itself is aquatic with the use of citruses and musk. The sage and lavender have the sifting effect in the drydown, but that opening when applied to the body is overpowering.

Lance

Bought this today! Not that special. It's a bright fresh citrus scent, and that's all! Last time when I tested it, it gave me a different motion, which was pretty ok. But now, I just feel so many other fresh scents around. Maybe another Acqua di Gio wannabe IMHO. Oh maybe not! A car-freshner wannabe, actually.
The only thing that impressed me is the good longevity for a sport cologne!

periquito89

I agree that is not the tipical sport. da_markos said that it remembers him Baldessarini Del Mar. I don't know Del Mar, but it remembers me another one: the Baldessarini itself. But less sweet. Baldessarini looks ok to me but lacks of something more, just like Lanvin Sport.

Lance

The bottle looks ugly but I like what inside. I agree with someone said that it's not a typical Sport fragrance, not that light and simple as many other sport scents!
This is fresh, green and kinda sophisticated! And has staying power, what makes this stand out from other sport scents.
Recommend it!

bwcw81

I was surprised when I tested this, it is 99% similar to CK Truth Men, except the opening in a brighter citrus, the second and base notes are exactly the same! CK Truth have been in the market since 2002, Lanvin is in 2009. Now who is the copycat?

Longevity is superb, 6 hours on me, just like others said, please ignore this as a "sport" fragrance, it is very misleading, it does last a long time on me! Silliage is somehow much better than Truth and peoples tend to like it a lot. I wonder anyone agree this is too similar to CK Truth?

nattonline

Lanvin L'Homme Sport isn't at all like any other sporty scents on the market. It is sweet, clean, fruity fresh, and it can get oakmossy. It's not invigorating but pleasant. It's different and it's not a bad fragrance unless you prefer a stronger citrusy sporty type. I still prefer the original Lanvin L'Homme however, but this is a nice welcome to the "sport" world without being typical.

piperis

smell amazing ,so stronq so cold so ice!!!!!super sport perfumes, this one its the perfume of summer 2010 for me

This fragrance is great and refreshing send in yourself the activity and happiness

Tarida

Lovely smell and yes it suprisingly not a typical "SPORT" fragrance. It staying power is quite short lived on my other half...shame.

LuckyStar1

Very suprised by this classy smelling fragrance by Lanvin. I have no idea why they named this Sport as this is the least Sporty smelling fragrance I have ever smelled. It goes on fresh and stays fresh all day. It is great for day or evening use. I get tons of compliments wearing this and it lasts all day long.
Already on my third 100ml bottle.

dandy721

I agree with da markos, yes is good i bought it to use this period ( end of summer and before winter), it's good but without soul. I'll think i'll go for Prada fragrances

da_markos

it's quite simillar to del mar by baldessarini - so it means that we have to do with nice, fruity summer scent. it's typical product from last years. we have very, very much those kind of "happymaker" fragrances...all those "sport" and "summer" flanks of famous perfume. is it good? in my opinion - yes, but it's very easy to mistake them with each other. they don't have hmm... soul

fotolux

After Chanel (Allure Homme Sport) and more recently, Dior (Dior Homme Sport), the House of Lanvin is launching its ‘Sport’ line, too. The notes are looking simply and fresh: the lemon top note is the main issue, like a soft breeze. There also are floral, mossy notes, with a touch of musk. It`s have to be a nice fresh youthful and sporty fragrance in my opinion! Vamos Rafa!
