Fortyfree

Zesty orange citrus.

Opens with strong citrus notes. Smells a bit like a green, bitter orange.
It's light and bright.
Turns sour and a bit waxy, but remains very zesty.
Aromatic notes are perceptible too, mainly vetiver.
It starts to resemble a glass of fresh orange juice, then turns a little herbal with tonic-mint notes alongside something soapy.
The dry down smells a little throwback, and TBH, a bit cheap, (like a clean deodorant.)

Solid summer scent for daytime use, and good for most ages 25+.

Performance is good, loud projection for at least an hour and lasts on the skin until the next day. (my skin.)

Good value for money these days but can smell familiar, especially the dry down which gave me Acqua did Gio vibes.

matejeee

Didn't really enjoy it, the scents is not for me.

divinecervine

Freshie that doesn't last long. Nothing special.

eden_vital

So it was a blind buy for me, based on the fact that I love powdery scents. It’s for summer use as a guy and I like it, despite low projection and terrible performance.

However my main issue is that the 100ml I got feels kind of empty, like it’s half full, lots of space in the can when shaken. That’s really annoying. I’m not sure if I’m just being fooled by the ultra light canister. I actually weighed it brand new at 120g. Anyone else feels like the can is empty-ish?

evilspin

I was curious to try this because I never seen or smelled this. I’m a fan of the Tenere and Paco Robanne original because it reminds me of my dad and the 80’s in general. Not into the fruity cloy over hyped sweet bombs of invictus, phantom and 1 million. They all smell the same to me just like all the other over hyped fragrances coming out by all fashion houses to compete. It’s either that same sweet bomb scent that all the new young generation are wearing acting like it’s the only scent that exists or the exhausted obsession with oud fragrances that are all the same or boring.

When I got Paco in the mail I was excited. I felt like I was discovering a fragrance that everyone forgot and nothing else will be like it out there that I can wear. Wrong! This is so weak, generic and synthetic. And that’s never good. I was disappointed. I got the black bottle which is the newer release. Not sure if it was reformulate but the silver original looks better and makes more sense for its clean crisp weak platinum type citrus scent. The black bottle really doesn’t match the scent and I completely thought it was going to be a different type of scent so that added to the disappointment. I read reviews here and I was hopeful. Now that I see people comparing it to CK1 I can kind of see it but no, CK1 is much better and has better projection and lasts. Paco is sprayed and you get a memory and essence of CK1 but leaves much to be desired in terms of strength. Hopeful for middle and base notes to kick in but no, despite the beginning which is forgetful just as the fragrance itself became…nothing develops nor happens throughout and within 30 min, it’s all gone!

nickdec26

Smells amazing for an hour! Aaaaand its gone

A MASTERPIECE BY ROSENDO MATEO RIP 🙏🏽 NEEDS TO BE RESURRECTED IN AN EDP VERSION OR DUPED! There’s just something about this fragrance almost like that puppy love you had smell is so clean so pure so delicious 😋

Mike_S

This is a very nice scent that gives fresh and citrusy vibes. The longevity on my skin is average 4-5 hours but the projection is low, close to 1 hour. After that it becomes very intimate.
Picked this one up at an airport for €20, so I cant complain.
A nice to have kind of fragrance for summer use, if you can get it at this price or lower.

Speezy

It smells like pine and oranges, then tea with some lavender essence on top, in that order. i really dislike it tbh, i think of battery acid when smelling this

stefanesku

This one of the best versitile fragrance for price. It has simillar smell to ck one but in my opinoin much more on masculine side. It is very good all rounder.

izmircimen

Woody, fresh, acid. Delicious. My first fragrance ever, so this is a special one for me.

Pokyqu

Herbal/green ck one but with a bad opening. Weak silage on my skin. I personally wouldn’t get this

Chalkline

Gifted to my dad and took over by me since he never even tried it. Used it a lot a couple of years ago (since it was easy to carry with me in a bag for sleepovers) so it has a special place in my heart but to be honest it's not really my type of scent. Now I'm using it everyday just to use up the last of it. I layer it with a mist from Bodyshop (Mandarin Orchid) since, to my nose, it is a very strong, "male" scent. My boyfriend thinks it smells feminine, from which I gather it probably smells pretty unisex. Does not last very long on my skin and I can't really pick up any of the notes (since to me it just smells like shower gel for men) but I was able to match it pretty well with the Bodyshop mist by comparing the notes of both perfumes here on Fragrantica (one of my proudest perfume moments I must say!)

Unmodernize

I love Paco Rabanne and tea frags, but this left me a bit underwhelmed at first spray.

Yes it’s close to chrome and CK1 but it’s not just about the smell, quality and craft is important too. I felt this smelled cheap in the opening. That’s not a good sign.

I also feel anosmic here because I can’t really feel the ”body” of this fragrance on my hand, and I just sprayed it 20 minutes ago(!).

It’s a very subtle citric smell. Perhaps a very good everyday cheapie for work.

Edit: Had it in my car and it has grown to be a perfect pick me up. I now love it. But useless performance, strictly a 5 minute pick me up spray.

KUB1N

Perfect teen, woody, fresh fragrance!

Mkhl4Sure

It's but it doesn't last long. After 1 hour or 1 and the half hour, the smell is no where to be found. You can't even smell on the skin or cloth you sprayed it on anymore. Which is disappointing

ILikeSmellingNice

Am I the only one that is baffled about the deodorant bottle it is in or I just bought the deodorant? Otherwise it smells fresh and young. I do get the same vibes as CK One,but it was so duped and copied that it doesn't smell like a designer scent. Not bad but definitely not something hyping about.

Alex Fragrance

Paco quickly turns from its fresh citrus opening to a spicy and flower based perfume. And after a few hours it is surprisingly powdery. This makes it hard to pin-point this 1995 release.

I would not say that it is a very fresh perfume such as CK One. It only retains a modicum of its citrus opening. It’s black and silver bottle is unique and gives off a cool Latino vibe.

All-in-all this perfume is more musky, and flowery than you would expect. It has a bit of unisex quality without being girly at all. The price is decent but not great.

Although I haven’t sampled a great many 90s fragrances, I do think this one is quite unique.

My brother doesn’t like cologne but loved this most out my 15+ collection. Its just clean clean

jasontallwood

Very similar to the green pour homme from 1973 that they still make. However I found using the tester of "Paco" a few months back surprisingly as I'm almost certain it's discontinued. I wasn't impressed at all. The herbal qualities of the "Pour Homme" were like a missing piece as without it, it's just boring in my opinion.

I say skip this one unless you're out to collect every scent Paco Rabanne makes.

LuckyMommy

Great fresh and clean scent, really like it on my husband. Leans more male than female to me.

sameenuk

I really like this. I'm a big fan of 🍋 in the topnotes. And when I spray this, I get this fresh and clean feeling. It's a great post gym (post shower) scent. I'd wear this as an aftershave Balm but I'm not sure they made that..

As a 90s kid, I have to admit this is a bittersweet smell. Let me put it another way, I feel like I've found someone who was like my childhood ex. And you guessed it, that ex would have been ck One. Oh boy. How I've grown up and yet still hold a candle. I actually have a bottle of CK one, and shame on me, shame on me, that I prefer Paco to it.

I'm not sure how long it lasts. Maybe 2-3 hours but to be honest, with light scents like this. I dont really mind. It's not going to break the bank to get another bottle. Paco is actually a good base when I want towners something else in the evening and need a more citrusy flanker for something which is a tad average like Hugo boss bottled.

This one makes me happy. It lasts long but the drydown is more subtle. I like the jasmine note when it comes out. For some reason, and forgive me for being boring. But this is a scent for focusing on work. It's one of those ones that is great in the office. Not the here for a good time, but not a long time scent like CK one, but something a bit more mature and professional but still quite light and airy. I'm glad I bought this one

Compliments so far have been nil but that's mainly due to this being a lockdown discovery. I don't think women would like this one very much tbh.

RobbieX

A good performing citrus with green and earthy elements to it. Good silage too.
It's very like Eau Maximum by Nickel but this is earthier.
It's a lovely fragrance and perfect in Summer.

ems@twc

WOW this really takes me back to when i was seventeen and working in my first pharmacy. My manager approached me to do the front of store promotion when this first came out.
I even remember slogan on the t-shirt I wore "PACO" "Be different".
I remember it being light and fresh like CK One but much nicer.
I'm going to have hunt this down for nostalgia sake.

arianna3

Does anyone know for sure, whether this fragrance has been discontinued? Thanks

m-ourad

My number 1 fragrance, it feels so great when sprayed after a cold shower, refreshing, happiness bringer, recommended seasons: spring or summers, preferably during day time (although I wear it all times and seasons).

It might last from 3 up to 4 hours. It leaves a pleasant vibe afterwards which comes and goes. The people around will definitely enjoy staying nearby (;

Style: Casual, sport, summer-wear.(To Avoid: Classic, hip-hop, Denime)
Music: Light-techno, fast Rn'b, and Pop.
Demographic: 15-48, Unisex.
Mood: 67-100% happiness (might bring confidence, but turns off charisma).

Note: You should keep it as one of essentials on your perfume-shelf

mkpunk

Paco Rabanne Paco I smelt this today and there that is a harsh open to is not to dissimilar to Paco Rabanne XS (vintage, not modern bottles as I haven't smelt it). I see they have the same nose and came the next year after, so perhaps Paco is the unisex cousin to XS. However, I would say XS smooths out while today's Paco turns into a mix of CK One and CK Be. It isn't piercing metallic like Azzaro Chrome is, but it is in the masculine CK One territory. I don't see a reason to buy this but if you are looking for a more masculine CK One option and don't want to smell metallic like Azzaro Chrome, maybe Paco is a good option for you.

reubengod

I kind-of love this.. bought it recently and trying to convince myself not to like it but it's great

Oldspice

I agree with those that are calling Paco an improved version of CK One. I've always wanted to like CK One but there's a harshness to it that spoils it for me. Paco is indeed quite similar but it seems to smooth the rough edges out.

Performance is good. I've gotten compliments on it. It seems to have been discontinued but is still readily available online.

muminharoon

Paco Rabanne's alternative to CK One always earned me a lot of compliments. It was only my third perfume buy, after CK One and XS. Paco possessed the lemony soul of Calvin Klein's unisex offering, but the piney-tea notes and musk gave it more body, personality and a slightly masculine edge. I'd love another bottle of this.

gabiborza

In my opinion this one smells more manly than CK one (I own them both), although they do share similarities. I like wearing it on a casual walk around the city, on summer days. Performance is average on my skin, around 4 hours tops.

Fipo010812

Very weak performance , floral and clean smell.
Have the vibe of CK one and Azzaro Chrome.

aet

It does smell very similar to CK One. Same citrus, floral vibe. Longevity is better than CK One, but isn't spectacular overall. A nice summer fragrance.

Nomen

This is indeed CK One on steroids! I wore it yesterday and I couldn't detect one single difference except in the matter of longevity. I've had at least 2 bottles of CK One and I know it very well, but this Paco is a beast. It never stopped radiating all around me only from one spray on my wrist throughout the whole day, until I finally took the shower.
So there you go: if you love your One, but would love more strength to it, find the Paco.

YekenLarroche

A classic '90s scent that doesn't have the mainstream feel. It does feel 90's though, don't expect surprises.

The composition has the Paco Rabanne signature in it's mysterious mandarin-lemon aggressive combo that gets you to an outrun sunset typeof.

A bit too heavy for day use, ideal for casual night once in a while.

chiragh

my wife love this on me !
must buy if you love to love FRESH & CITRUS !

Go4broke

I understand this frag has been discontinued. However, if you really want to pick up a bottle, I just purchased a 100ml bottle for £15.60 on an easy jet flight from UK to Portugal. It's listed under 'travel exclusive'. I have to say it's very nice and very similar to CK One as some have mentioned.

ShroomRavioli

This pretty much smells like an expensive toilet cleaner. Probably not something I'd like to smell of.

D-Bo

I don't dislike many fragrances, but this is one that I really do dislike. PR is my least favorite house and this is probably one of their worst offerings. Save your money and look elsewhere. Also, I had this in the aluminum bottle and it turned. I didn't use it very often, but decided to try it again and noticed that it had gone bad.

Paco (1995) By Rosendo Mateu

Morning Today's Forecast Calls For Blue Skies

The similarity to CK One aside, this is a beautifully composed citrus based fragrance. Such a shame that it's been discontinued and long ago lost to CK One. I wear both and have to wear CK One more times than my old bottle of Paco. For '95 this was considered unisex because of the floral notes, the softer tamer woodsy notes and the tonka or vanilla notes. Paco is a day wear cologne for both sexes when we want to smell of sweet fresh fruity citrus as an extension of our summer wardrobe. This matches up with clean fresh laundered T shirts, dress shirts, slacks, shorts, sandals, summer wear. It's a good morning sunshine scent. It's also perfect for travel in the summer and the beach. I love the packaging in the cylinder bottle. The frag I have dates from '95 but it has held up very well. Today I can't tell you where you might want to look for this or hunt for it unless it's a rummage sale or eBay. If only it had stood the test of time but oh well these things happen.

The opening notes are zesty lemon and mandarin orange. If you like citruses, particularly sharp ones, this is a bright sharp very delicious intoxicating citrus. A green note of pine is also tossed in there and a spice, coriander, all of which make this more masculine to me than unisex. It has no aftershave scent but it is citrus which transcends gender as a note in fragrance. But there's also some pineapple which can be very summery and sweet and would appeal to women. The floral notes emerge from the citrusy after taste. They include a very noticeable lavender and jasmine. There's also cyclamen. The florals are soapy and a tad sweet but not cloying. Just fresh clean florals which are consistently fresh and aromatic. The pine note and a subsequent green note keeps this more on the aromatic green side than a feminine spring floral scent. Finally let me mention the tea note. This tea is green tea and very aromatic like a citrus and green tea combination. This gives this scent a somewhat oily and natural herbal tea smell. If you like herbal tea then you'll love smelling this on you. Very comforting and soothing and deliciously blended.

In the drier stages I detect vanilla in the form of tonka bean and woodsy notes mainly sandalwood and cedar. A soft core in the base of musk also gives this a masculine air although it is youthful as CK One is youthful. The vanilla holds everything together. Very modern for '95 for this to have dried down to a vanilla. The musk is not animalic but can get just a tad powdery at times. The sandalwood is wonderful. The overall effect is clean, a bit but not too powdery, fresh, citrusy, floral and woodsy. This has an outdoorsy natural aroma. It's sporty, athletic, casual, flexible for day and night time but it seems more suited to day time. It can be worn to the office and to work but that's not going to happen any time soon as Paco Rabanne discontinued this fragrance shortly after it's release when it was overshadowed by CK One for which has been unfavorably compared. I like both don't get me wrong but it was unwise to pull this out of the market when it would smells just as good and has a lot of things going for it. It lasts longer than CK One because of the musk and it is more appealing to men and to older men. CK One has that 90's teenager vibe and this one definitely does not. It can be worn by mature men today. It is classified as unisex because of the floral notes, the tea, vanilla and the fresh bright quality but it has no labels to me. This is a great and overlooked tragically underrated cologne. I'm here to sing it's praises and to look back at a time when fragrances like this were still being made. This brings back fond memories. It also conjures up happy images. I visualize myself in surfer shorts and I'm at the beach playing volleyball, the noon sun warms my flesh and I inhale jasmine by the nearby shore and smell citrusy and clean. It's morning and the summer vacation has only just begun. A promise of a summer love has excited me and I'm happy, as happy as one could only have been in 1996 before 9/11 and before the world went mad. Thank you Paco for this cologne even if it was just that one glorious time.

This is definitely my husbands signature scent pretty much since it was launched! I'm surprised no one we know has ever heard of it, because to me - it's absolutely amazing!!

Definitely wears well during the day, and so refreshing.

I love it!

Valerie K

Just became familiar with this fragrance two days ago, while visiting Honduras (paid $10 too much, as per the reviews).. However, I must admit, I DO LIKE THIS ONE!!! Clean and fresh! Definitely suited for warm weather! We'll see how this one fairs in the bitterly cold northeast..

And a Happy (and healthy) New Year, one and all!!!

JAYMZDEEN

This is a very disappointing effort in the line. Honestly I picked up a bottle of Penthouse Legendary for 5 dollars... and its better than this. This one is a no. Honestly .. If you like this pick up Penthouse Legendary because its the same ordinary citrus scent.

PastelMoon

Paco is different from anything else in Rabanne's repertoire these days.

This brings the picture of abandoned factory resting in the shade of green thick forest. There's a slight tar nuance here which contributes to this industrial feel.

I don't quite like the top notes - lemony and sour. It, however, dries down to a clean, vegetal scent with a hint of Earl Grey, a tad artificial but very soothing and wearable. Unisex as it can be.

Incredibly relevant, even today. More like a CK Be than One. Also reminds me of non-feminine version of Cheap & Chic by Moschino.

nicobellik

I had read so many favourable reviews of this and when I saw it advertised in my in-flight magazine I couldn't pass up the chance to buy it.. I've never seen it for sale anywhere else. I was heartbroken to find, therefore, that it's basically just expensive furniture polish. Overwhelming pine scent masking almost every other note, apart from a hint of tonka bean. It's really awful, smells cheap and nasty. Honestly, my air freshener smells better than this. This is genuinely the worst fragrance I've ever bought, I now completely understand why it's impossible to purchase anywhere else. I'm making a mental note of all the people who gave this a good review, I'm never going to trust them again.

RobK

Just received this today. Paid around $17 for 100ml. After spraying it on my wrist I immediately detected some similarities with other fragrances. On my skin this smells like a combination of CK One and Azzaro Chrome Legend.

I didn't manage to test yet the performance but I am not expecting much having in mind the price I paid.

It's a nice scent for summer days it has a nice soapy feel to it.

For the price you can't go wrong with it. Nothing extraordinary but decent.

Update:
2017.01.3

I have been using this perfume for over half a year and I must say I LOVE IT. The longevity and projection is top notch.

It is very fresh. Frankly speaking this perfume is a power house. It took some time for it to grow on me, but I must say - this is a great scent.

I am still surprised about the price. Believe me, this perfume smells and kicks a lot more powerful than any other perfume in its price range.

20 eur in europe for a 100ml bottle is a bargain for this powerhouse.

I am not sure how, I am not sure why... but this is a hidden gem.
I am also considering buying a second bottle just to have it in my wardrobe.

When I am thinking about this perfume I always imagine it as a fusion of 2 smells I like (but not love per sei)
Clinique happy man and
Quorum by Puig

In my opinion it takes the best from both, and turns it into something contemporary, powerful, but not nauseating.

I will be buying more for sure. Surprisingly it is almost my signature scent, a daily jack of all trades type.

Do not let some comments fool you, if you enjoy clean and crisp scents - you will enjoy it.

Good luck,

AJ

Guapo

This fragrance was not discontinued. It continues to be produced and available. Excellent, in my humble opinion, similar but better than the CK One.

jarvak

A superfresh and the most underrated Paco Rabanne scent. It came out in 1995 and the quality of this juice is much better than these kind of releases today. Great longevity and sillage. It's a shame that it has been discontinued. You can still find it at airports at the price of 20 euros. And I definitely think you should grab it.

Arunas.K

Greetings everyone,

I would like to share my positive experience with Paco Rabanne Paco.

Its a great fresh Citrus, Pine and Tonka (together with some other elements) frag. Simply put its very good, though not for everyone. Surprisingly, for around 20eur in Europe you can still get a powerhouse frag, amazing.

The projection is between Moderate and Heavy, for me leaning on a heavy side.

Longevity is amazing. I was out in a city with my friends and used it on Friday. And after about 10 days I picked up my sweater and could smell it! And it smelled really good and fresh!

I personally do not like spending too much money on fragrances, but I think I got more than what I bargained for.

In a nowadays frag world of Vanilla/Tabacco/Ocean smells, this big boy brings the juice back! It teleports somewhere Clean, Green, Fresh. Its amazing how Fresh, Clean and at the same time Forest-alike this fragrance is.

People keep saying that smells, fragrances can invoke emotions and desires. This one urges me to explore, go into the wild, though does not turn me into a lumberjack.

Powerhouse frag from the past, reinvented for the present. I love it more and more.

Verdict:
9/10 - Its a bargain for a price. Give it a go if you have a chance!
Projection/Sillage - Heavy.
Longevity - Long Lasting for sure.

PS. If you enjoy slightly old-school frags, you could look into quorum by antonio puig, it has some of the notes found in this fragrance.

Troy Perkins

I just bought for this 19.90 euros at Menorca airport in Spain. I has this almost 20 years ago and used the whole bottle, from memory it was a slightly more masculine version of the hugely popular (at that time) CK One. The bottle is now slightly different, it's a black bottle with the top third being made of recyclable aluminium. It doesn't come with a lid or cap so the reviewers who wondered if they had a fake most likely haven't.

It's a bit of a 90s scent but it's very green and herbal. Great as a cheap blind buy to use as an everyday scent. It smells like it costs much more than it actually does which is a plus.

AND-MAT

A clean piny fragrance with extremely affordable price. This perfume is perfect for those people that want to smell nice without blowing a fortune for their perfumes.

It's woody, citrussy, sunny and happy. I get it why people are reminded by CK one despite that they do not smell alike. However, this one is more serious than CK one as it's woodier and more mature and indeed more masculine than feminine as others have noted.

marios4

It's a very good fragrance, everyone could buy at the Fiumicino Airport in Rome, 100 ml for € 19,90......for this price could be used also as body deodorant, cause the very cheap & affordable prize; however it's the BESTSELLER fragrance there!!!
Soon i'll update my review with the test.

GinWeed

This is super fresh and it has nice projection. I'm so glad this is officially labelled unisex! I'm a woman and I definitely use this, although maybe, just maybe, it has a little bit more of a masculine vibe than feminine. But I use men's fragrances all the time anyway so I'm not afraid :) The lemon and pine are sooo delicious in this!

SzekelyEmoke

Is it any good on women? I'd like to know some opinions from women. :)

In 1995, the perfumer Rosendo Mateu (House of Puig) created this fragrance that competed directly with the newly released CK One (Calvin Klein). The point is that this cologne has never been as disclosed as the one from the North-american brand and, as a result, it ended up disappearing from shelves and many thought that had been discontinued. But the distribution returned occuring for airports stores and, currently, a change has occurred in the packaging, which was silver and today is black. Another unusual feature is that this cologne brings no lid. It comes in a can and its packaging is aluminum.

It consists of coriander, lemon, mandarin orange and pine, in the output; lavender, jasmine, pineapple, cyclamen and tea, in the heart; tonka bean, musk, sandalwood and cedar, in the base.
Once sprayed, reminded me of Déclaration (Cartier), with its notes of coriander and Mandarin orange, also in the output, like a summer version of this one. But this feeling fades, almost immediately, and the similarities with CK One begin to emerge. However, in my opinion, this one is a bit more masculine than the other, which is more fruity. Still, it is marketed as unisex.

Furthermore, I believe that the success of Azzaro Chrome (1996) has much more to do with its countryman, than with the other, of American origin. But as Paco arrived and left without much fanfare, the comparison made worldwide involves only the other two that were mentioned.

In terms of longevity, this one is very much better. I wonder what went wrong at that time, since this scent could have been one of the biggest successes of the brand, just as happened with the competitor.

jaybear

This is an ok summer fragrance. Citric notes are the most dominant ones here but I found some minty tea and even cardamom and caraway in it, too. I also spotted a hint of crushed blackcurrant leaves in the opening, a scent which always makes me happy. Apart from those pleasant whiffs and a mildly interesting base Paco is a rather generic citrus which quite much resembles cK One. It also has something in common with some wet wipes, which is not that great, really. Longevity and sillage are all right for a summery cologne.

Ignitron

Light, neutral, inoffensive. Also dry, herbal, not sweet, and by spraying it on your clothes you will make them smell quite literally like an empty box from Earl Grey tea. And I like the smell of Earl Grey tea. That's the best way I can describe this scent. Does not announce its presence, but instead evokes the feeling of cleanliness and freshness. Lasts somewhat like 5-6 hours.

bassdemon

With regards to the post below, this is exactly what I was wondering.
I was very happy when I managed to get a bottle of Paco in Gran Canaria airport a couple of years ago. It was a metallic silver bottle in a black box and was exactly the same as the ones I used to purchase at the end of the 1990's.
Last year a friend got me a bottle in Tenerife airport and the metallic bottle is black and silver in a black box. I would not consider this as a fake as it was bought from the airport and it smells and lasts the same.
However, it would be good to know why the change in design. I understand that Paco was discontinued at least 13 years ago so where did this design come from? Was there a change in design when Paco was out the first time around and this is also surplus stock?
I understand that Paco has not been re-launched and only surplus stock is available in airports. Anyone got any more information?
Would be good if we could also get some Paco Energy (silver bottle in white box) that was launched in 1998 and disappeared about a year later.
Note: Azzaro Chrome (original) smells quite similar to Paco but a bit more masculine and perhaps less unisex. Give it a try though it's great.

Could someone tell me if there is a new design of the bottle of this perfume. Before it was all metal and higher, and now it's less like a metal only at the top and painted embossed Paco Rabanne, and down the bottle is black. Is this his a new design or is it fake?

when I think of this lovely metal PACO these pop up all the time;

90s,cool,simple,fresh,clean,unisex,nice,easy,relaxing,citrus,
energetic,young,sporty,happy,mtv ad,poor longevity,metal bottle,hard to find nowadays,discontinued...+ good old days..

so glad that I have an almost full bottle ...I heard that it is 'officially' only being sold in duty free shops to finish the stocks...poor old metal dude..

Loved Paco and unisex fragrances of 90s. Citrusy, fresh, with spicy, woody undertone.

freestyle

sebsan

This scent is really cool.
It is perfect in every way.
Very young, nice, clean, fresh, energetic...
It is now very difficult to find it for sale.
What remains is only the memory of a great perfume that almost brought me into the world of perfumery.
I love it.

No, the most disappointing blind buy EVER(and 90% of my colognes are blind buys) I ought it in duty free and I got home, tried it a couple days, couple weeks, months and I had enough.... I decided to were it though, when escorting my mom to do the shopping..I almost puked in the car... it was so sickeningly sweet and the floral accords, didn't complement each other...I have the same prob with JPG Fluer du male, maybe florals just aren't for me....so I advise that you try it first before you buy it...and does anyone know if this was discontinued...?

I tested it in a duty free shop in Brussels lately, it is very nice! Fresh, in a rather vegetal way, made me think of being in a forest or in a garden. The beginning is minty and a bit powdery(?), reminding me of Emporio Armani for her. The price was great, I actually regret not buying it, it would be nice for summer.
The lasting power was not bad either.

I still have the bottle/canister I purchased many years ago and it has just a tiny bit left just to remind me of how nice the fragrance was on me. I daren't use it any more. I need to find this again!

I remember the commercials that used to come on constantly on MTV, they basically made me want the fragrance. When I finally got to smell it, I love it. Loved the metal bottle as well. Very youthful scent!

Rubies

I dont mind wearing it all the time, its subtle yet strong.I got it as a gift and can't wait to place an order.

It reminds me of Issey Miyake Pour Homme and CK One mixed together or at least it's in the same ball park. It's fresh, sourish citrus musky note. Green pine can be a little harsh but not bad. It could be unisex scent but it's likely to be worn by mostly men. The bottle is interesting but not fancy. My bottle now has less than 20% juice, so I store it away and out of sight because it's sad to see it low on juice. I am on a lookout for new one, but damn the price is so high.

P-A-C-O! 1995: In mid 90ies fashion Rabanne launches his first unisex fragrance to commercial success. After the successful CK "One" and "Be" it was only a question of time that others followed suit. I loved the scent when I bought it in 1997 as I was young, the world was a better place and I was a young student travelling about. The scent is somewhat feminine to me and apart from the many igredients of citrus, I perceive it to smell of tulips...and I love tulips. If this scent had a colour, I'd have to be dark yellow, marigold, safrane, orange. Very happy and joyous fragrance that would please any young and agile person of a sporty intellect. Love the packaging: finally someone aware of the environment!!
