3# nota di viaggio (ciavuru d’amuri) 2019 edition by Meo Fusciuni is a fragrance for women and men. 3# nota di viaggio (ciavuru d’amuri) 2019 edition was launched in 2019. The nose behind this fragrance is Giuseppe Imprezzabile. Top notes are Fig Leaf, Artemisia and Bergamot; middle notes are Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang; base notes are Powdery Notes, Sandalwood, Olibanum, Benzoin and Cedar.

"The last stage of the Trilogy of Journey is dedicated to Sicily, my native land. The olfactory trajectory, started in Istanbul and continued in Marrakech, ends with a journey into memory. This perfume tells through the olfactory notes that compose it, the happy moments of childhood spent on the island, in the house of the grandmother and in the arms of my mother during the sacred processions. "Ciavuru d’amuri" in Sicilian means "perfume of love".

This fragrance for Me is a dedication not only to my mother, but also to my land, the generator of all Sicilian beauty.

The perfume opens with the note of Fig, in the green note of the leaves and milky of the sap; the top note is accompanied by citrus notes of Bergamot and aromatic green Artemisia notes.

The heart of Ciavuru d'amuri is white, like the robes of mothers and the sun of Sicily, a floral bouquet of Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang. Everything goes on, and in listening on skin we begin to feel the aromatic and austere notes of the Incense of the sacred festivities, a perfume that impregnates the clothes of the faithful and the ancient churches of the native town, Mazara del Vallo.  Despite the incense is a note often considered pungent and strong, here instead it has a delicate olfactory shape, not losing the theme of perfume, the delicacy of love and the white light of beloved Sicily. The base note is accompanied by the woody notes of Cedar and Sandalwood and the resinous notes of Benzoin.

Ciavuru d’amuri is a delicate fragrance that can dress the soul throughout the year, the presence of the not too sweet and deliberately greener Fico note makes it an excellent unisex perfume.

My childhood, the time of youth, a dedication to all mothers, my grandmother and Earth Mother, a special dedication to my father, Bartolomeo, from which I took the name, Meo.

"I remember the fig tree, its trunk was large and it created shade in the garden of my grandmother Vincenza's house: the reflections of its light still wet my eyes with emotion. The small white jasmine flower of the arbor that led down to the sea along the courtyard, its deep scent framed during the nights, passed to listen to old stories of fishermen. Finally the austere notes of the Incense of the sacred festivals, the processions. The ritual of grace and prayer. Even today near the churches, during the sacred liturgy, the intense and aromatic scent of incense comes to us ." - a note from the brand.

I love fig and Meo Fusciuni (l'Oblio is my signature scent in cool weather), but never gave this one a try as I hate jasmine and ylang ylang. However, I smelled it on a tester at my local perfume shop without knowing what it was and immediately requested a sample. It's such a beautiful fig, not too sweet or too woody. The notes I dislike are very very faint, just enough to give the fig a bit of animalic depth. It does open smelling of rubbing alcohol, but that dissipates as it dries.

Like all of his scents I've tried so far, this is very light and barely projects. I used about half my sample in one go and can just start smell it when my wrists are about six inches from my face. That said, I wrote almost the exact same thing about l'Oblio, and ended up finding its lasting power and projection were stronger than I initially thought, so I may have to update this review once my sample runs out.

Another winner from Meo Fusciuni. You get fig, very green but somehow still edible. The sandalwood is smooth and creamy. I don't get a lot else, to be honest, but I think this is a perfect work scent - sophisticated and unique, but subtle enough for any situation.

Ciavuru d'amuri in Sicily means perfume of love.
The creator's most visceral love, for his mother and grandmother, for his land, for the happy moments of childhood: a journey back in time, which is always remembered with a smile.
At the beginning you can taste a pulpy fig, in its fruitiest aspects (after all, I also remember the taste and juiciness of this fruit that I loved to pick and eat so much), and then, to remember the white clothes of the women during the processions, jasmine and incensed scents.
This is a thoughtful, artistic pyramid, built with great awareness of what it wants to communicate. And it is useless to cite a work of art, here we do not see the painting, but we perceive it through the sense of smell.

Giuseppe is a poet. This is by far the best fig I’ve experienced.

Night Shift EDP

The start for me goes right to a lush, creamy, slightly vanilla baby powder. Within 10 minutes it gently transforms into a expensive cigar wrapped in a candela wrapper which is a lovely pale green color…I love that part but it didn’t last long and then back to a creamy powder.

waking up under a banana tree. on a sicilian Wednesday? listening to monty norman? It's actually a nice perfume. 7/9

This fragrance seemed quite promising to me. The notes are intriguing but in reality, the fragrance is pretty similar to Premier Figuier by L'Artisan Parfumeur. It has the same fruity fig with a vintage vibe and a bit of greenness (just like Premier Figuier). However, there is a very offputting note in 3# nota di viaggio - kind of a rotten fruit. To my nose, it may be artemisia that does this to the fragrance, idk. In a nutshell, strange and not pleasant experience with this creation from Meo Fusciuni - it's like you're smelling a ripe and a rotten fig at the same time. With a decent amount of sandalwood powder atop.

Sweet figgaroni pizza Batman. Imagine a refreshing cool spring breeze with fruity fig. It is that in a bottle. Then imagine something cool, creamy feeling like a dessert following shortly after. Love.

Nose for a bouquet

This is a very well blended, creamy fig fragrance. The bergamot plays very nicely here, not very noticeable, except in the way it somehow enhances the depth of the fig. It’s more dense and sappy, making it more like the fragrance can be tasted. I love the beautiful, subtle, yet present frankincense. Maybe that is what gives it a smidgen of sourness as well. To me it leans masculine, but can be pulled off by a woman as well. Three sprays should last the day. It seems there is a spirituality that the creator was reaching for and that is the sense I get when I wear it. When I want to be in that frame of mind, I tend to reach for this.

very nice green sappy fig but longevity is limited unfortunately.
you have to spray quite a bit.

Excellent Fig scent that successfully treads the line between being too sweet and syrupy ( a la Pulp}, and not overly green (a la ninfeo meo). The latter is especially important to me as some green Fig scents can smell too much like ivy... And as a result, cat pee.

But this stays far away from any of that. It's a beautiful creation that melds the fig together with supporting fruits and floral notes... With a slight resiny and woody base.

This is a great scent that leans feminine in my opinion. No surprise there as this perfume is made with the nose's mother in mind. She must have been a strong woman... And while this scent is slightly feminine, it isn't overly delicate and has an underlying strength.

I found my holy grail fig a long time ago in Fig Tree by Sonoma Scent Studio. I don't know why I am so obsessed with finding something similar to it. Maybe because when most fig fragrances claim to be fig, they actually smell like coconut. And that irks me. This is the closest to a true fig fragrance that I have ever smelled, aside from Fig Tree. It's a beautiful fig fragrance that deserves far more attention.

It's clean, green and woody. Mostly I get a sheer, delicate feeling from this one, but as it develops it gains depth, rather than fading and becoming wispy. It has a borderline-shampoo vibe about it. There is a musk in it that reminds me of fruity shampoo, but its natural elements save it from becoming too synthetic. Because of the musk, it reminds me of Debaser, where I get a lot more synthetics. I would say this is somewhere in the middle of Fig Tree and Debaser. I notice frankincense in the base, which brightens it and keeps it going strong for hours, as well as *real* cedar. The feel is sunny, carefree, breezy.

Not creamy and I don't notice any powder. I wonder if Fragrantica accidentally listed "powdery notes" instead of "musk," as the thumbnails look similar.

In comparison, Fig Tree is more naturalistic, richer, creamier, and never reminds me shampoo. You truly get a lot of natural ingredients and can really smell the the white sap of the unripened fruit, the bark of the tree and the lush leaves. It's a matter of personal preference. If you are looking for something that feels more fresh, clean and reminiscent of the leaves, this is the cream of the crop of fig perfumes!

The ingredients very well describe this scent. I did a "blind" test, and the notes I came up with were powder, carrot tops, smoke, and dry grass, with the emphasis on herbal powder.

This is a beautifully blended fragrance that is quite artistic, yet easy to wear. It opens with a bright flash of green Citrus and Fig Leaves in a cloud of Aldehydes. In general, Fig Leaves are herbal and antiseptic, but here they are kept in line by the Powdery and Floral notes which emerge after a few moments. The Jasmine in particular combines with the Fig Leave to lend a sweetness reminiscent of the Fig Fruit itself, but without the cloying jam of most "fig" scents. The unexpected Powder note, usually reserved for more classically composed scents, works well to create a languid, blurred effect of the other ingredients. A novel use, but one that feels natural.

After reading the notes, I can actually tease out the sweet sharp of the cedar (seamlessly blended with the florals) and the creamy sandalwood. Good sandal is hard to find in a fragrance these days, due to scarcity and cost. You will find it here, in concert with Frankincense and Benzoin to create a cozy, warm effect.

Meo Fusciuni's NOTA DI VIAGGIO series of eau de parfums are less potent than his parfums, which doesn't mean to imply that they are in any way your average edp. The quality and concentration of ingredients give his edps longevity of 8+ hours, even when they possess levity of character.

This is a unisex scent for year round wear, although as with any concentrated fragrance, go lightly in high heat and humidity.

*Disclaimer: I am an official stockist for this line.

I think I have found my holy grail fig perfume. Because of new restrictions on a couple of materials he used in the original eau de toilette, rather than discontinue the perfume altogether Meo decided to reformulate it and make it an eau de parfum. 3# nota di viaggio is a tribute to Meo Fusciuni’s mother and his homeland of Sicily, so it’s clearly not something he wanted to do away with because of some regulations, so instead he made an amped up version of the previous one which is more powerful, not only in strength but in feeling. It opens much greener and has an almost boozy, smoothly bitter aromatic quality, there is more heft in the base and structure, and the overall fragrance is more complex and dynamic. There is a very realistic leafy green aspect coming from the fig leaf, and enhanced by artemisia, it has an almost absinthe like quality to it. This is balanced by a beautiful jasmine, creamy ylang ylang, and in the base there is the addition of benzoin and woods along with the original incense. The overall feel of the perfume is heavier, but it still retains that sort of ethereal quality about it. But it’s not as simple as the sort of pure, white light feeling of the original, although that aspect is still included, it is more herbaceous, there is more creaminess, a gentle touch of smokiness, and a slight bit more masculinity in the base which makes it more solidly unisex. I believe this aspect was added to reflect his father as well, or family as a whole. The entire fragrance is beautifully balanced and maybe the most classically structured perfume he has done. There is such a beautiful quality about it, very refined, almost pristine, but it still carries that feeling of joy and contentment of the original. A perfect example of a reformulation done right.
