Reminds me of TF not sure which one Oud Wood? (Update never mind. This is just strong wood/dark/ no sweetness at all)
Idk
It has very flight bright scent to it idk is it the patchouli? I dont like it

There is no sweetness to it though

Just wood through and through and I guess leather

I am sample it more
Something about it is making it melancholic and not in a good way
Like as if it is stand offish

Update: did not like it. I also asked my husband and he also does not like this and did mention this is not at all like TF one that he uses

Yet another winner from my box of Miller Harris samples. Leather Rouge is not a huge projector, but I do keep getting lovely wafts of myself. It starts out much more strongly of leather than it does after it dries down, where the leather is still noticeable but the fruits add interest and sweetness. I would say this is unisex, but leans male at the beginning. While I do wish this projected more, it is a fun wear, the fruity leather is perfect for a chilly day.

99% Black Saffron but I'd say this is not as long lasting. Beautiful though as I love this profile

This is nice. I'm wearing both this and Tuscan Leather and, although they of course have a great deal in common, there are a few differences between them that interest me. Leather Rouge more than holds its own against what most would consider a far more illustrious rival.

LR, like TL, opens very nicely, with obvious leather and raspberry accords. To my nose, the leather in LR has more of a bitumen or birch tar finish. It's phenolic and has a nice medicinal or cough candy feel in conjunction with the raspberry and supporting florals. The raspberry complements the fruitier organic aspect of the leather in both fragrances but, whereas in TL the raspberry seems soft and sweet like the ripe berry itself (not so much a darkish, purplish raspberry as a quite pale, ruby-red one--the kind that gets wounded so easily in punnets), in LR it has more of a syrupy or liqueur-like quality. It reminds me of the Crusha milkshake syrup that was so popular when I was a child (not that I'm even sure that it was available in raspberry flavour), and if there's such a thing as a raspberry Slush Puppy then the syrup in it is probably like this. Here it is sweet, and the noticeable rose note augments its jamminess, but the violet produces a kind of watery or airy effect that seems to freshen and cool the raspberry. It's very well done and briefly had me thinking of Parma Violet sweets, and trying to remember whether there was such a thing as a raspberry Love Heart sweet.

There is a certain kind of semi-plush (or brushed leather) rounded feel that I think must come mostly from the orris, too. This is not something I get from TL. It fits right in with the powdery aspect of LR's violet.

It's unfortunate if LR is dropping points because it's most akin to a certain classically masculine scent yet comes from a house that is probably associated more with fragrances for women, or because it's similar to a bigger-name product that's been around for years. LR probably deserves a 4+ rating.

First impressions: I'm finding the Miller Harris descriptions to be very to the point, and so are their scents. They're certainly beautiful, but there isn't much more to say. I have yet to see if they stay hollow, or if the extra space is for you to fill.
This one reminded me of Paris, I think someone I sat next to was wearing it. I think I'd pull it off better in a few years.

The leather is comforting, like an actual jacket would be; there's some weight. That jamminess give a wonderful edge, a little cheek.

To me it smells like a raw more aggressive Ombre Leather by Tom Ford, which is reminiscent of Tuscan leather. It is a true refined leather smell. Winter & Fall only, more masculine leaning. Opening is very nice with jammy fruity edge but it dries down to raw leather. I like it buy i dont see myself wearing it. I prefer Ombre Leather as a more wearable leather to be honest.

An Amazing Tuscan Leather.

Leather Rouge is Miller Harris's twist on the now-legendary Tom Ford Tuscan Leather. It has that iconic raspberry-leather combination. However, the sharpness of that combination is softened and dampened significantly in Leather Rouge with powdery orris, airy/gaseous violet, and a soft Arabic combination of rose and saffron. It this softening that makes Leather Rouge amazing and quite the beautiful twist on Tuscan Leather.

Leathery, raspberry, floral, mildly-powdery, gaseous, soft, and intimate.

It is as if they wanted to create the YSL La Nuit de L'Homme from Tuscan Leather. Leather Rouge is probably my favorite Tuscan Leather-inspired fragrance.

Unfortunately, for its niche price, its performance is very average despite the leathery profile.

Mature, cool weather, unisex fragrance.

Finally a leather smell that actually smells like great leather. Love it.

It's very expensive but I like it and you don't need much for a long lasting effect. Each stage brings something quite different, evolving like a game of pass the parcel wondering what's going to be discovered next. I really like the raspberry and rose early on then the leather calmed by warm amber.

My nose picks up two dominant scents-- a jammy rose and leather. I agree with the other reviewer that these two scent impressions remain rather distinct, but I still find it a pleasant fragrance to wear. It also lasted VERY well on my skin, whereas some other Miller Harris scents do not. I need to spend some more time with it to decide if it's full bottle-worthy, but I'm definitely intrigued.

Jammy raspberry + dark raw leather. Very intoxicating, moody, and rich indeed.
The tones of each two notes are quite conflicting and inharmonious (almost like dual personalities), so I personally find Leather Rouge to be a bit challenging to wear compared to some other raspberry-leather frags.

sky76sky

First impressions: a sweet, rich raspberry fragrance with a leather vibe. A pretty, red-fruit leather, so the name is quite apt.
