La Danza delle Libellule by Nobile 1942 is a Floral Fruity Gourmand fragrance for women. La Danza delle Libellule was launched in 2012. Top notes are Red Apple and Bergamot; middle notes are Cinnamon and Cedar; base notes are Vanilla, Coconut and Musk.

“A bit of luxury every now and then cannot hurt! Dukes, Counts, castels, lush gardens and magnificent dresses, jolly trips and idle pastimes, romantic encounters and love intrigues... Al these elements form the background to the melody of "The Dance of the Dragonflies" Operetta by Franz Lehar. A fragrance to devote to yourself, when femininity cries out, claiming some time for frivolousness, cuddles and the gentle insouciance that all women deserve. With this spirit, La danza delle libellule, brings all the lightness necessary to soothe even the most troubled hearts. Apple and cedar smooth vanilla in this composition which starts with Nobile 1942’s distinctive bergamot. A pinch of cinnamon, cocoa to make the ensemble truly gourmand. The unavoidable musk keeps the graceful tone of the fragrance” — press release of the brand.

If you've ever smelled Alberto Balsam (cheapest shampoo brand available in the UK) Green Apple, this smells exactly like it with an underlying syrupy note. Very artificial smelling and nauseatingly sweet on my skin 😿

ieatmon

I don't understand why this fragrance isn't viral in the fragrance community on TikTok or Youtube. It is so wonderful, vanilla, apple, cinnamon and woody base notes in the best way possible. Beautiful, feminine, doesn't smell like a cheap apple perfume. It is one of the most beautiful gourmand fragrances I have ever known. I got my bottle in 2019 and I still have it because I use it very sparingly. I would say Dama Bianca reminds me of it in base notes - but without apple. It's the same type of sweet.

trainspotting_

omg sooo good its like a straight up juicy apple its amazing. Like other people have said i dont get much cedar or spice but just a tasty creamy apple scent.

EDIT: after wearing for 4ish hours the apple scent has disappeared and has left a super lactonic vanilla-y which is still nice but not as stunning as its opening

aniton

Mouthwateringly good, musky juicy apple & vanilla. It's heaven to my nose, not too gourmand but still the apple is so prominent. Like others mentioned, this gives shampoo and cleanliness, but also leaves that warm vanilla feeling. So simple yet so complex. Really really nice. Longevity unfortunately poor, but I wouldn't mind reapplying.

deolaD

La Danza delle libellule is absolutely beautiful. It’s quickly climbing to the top of my list.
A crisp red apple strudel with vanilla and musk. I don’t smell much of the cinnamon or cedar notes. So if you’re not into gourmands this might not be the one for you. This also lasts pretty well on my clothes once it dried down to a soft vanilla.

smile4thecamera

This opened brightly and fresh with apple and bergamot. The vanilla is in the background but not as strongly as during the dry down. After awhile this becomes vanilla frosting on my skin with a titch of cocoa and coconut. This is long lasting on me, and the vanilla is pretty enough, but I think this could get cloying in the heat. The bottle is great, I'm just not overly wowed by this perfume.

GiBaby

Firstly, the bottle is 😍 !! Another blind buy success! The details are exquisite and the fragrance itself is an absolute reflection of the bottles beauty!! This is a delicious gourmand and you can perceive the quality of notes. That red apple is so mouth watering, and the notes compose together almost caramel like on my skin🤤. This is really good, and a safe entry into the niche world in terms of scent and price point. I was able to get mine at a good deal on fragrancenet.

Eden2earth

Fresh apples with whipped cream. Just delightful. Imagine a gorgeous woman walks by & you get a whiff of luxurious apple shampoo making her unforgettable in your mind.

Whiskeydreamer

Golden hour in an apple orchard on an uncharacteristically warm autumn day.

The magic of this fragrance is the way it changes on the skin in a manner similar to baking. The initial spray smells like you've taken all the raw ingredients (fresh apple, vanilla, cinnamon) and as it dries down, it "bakes" into a warm apple custard.

I first dismissed La Danza as a simplistic, almost juvenile scent, but for some reason kept being drawn back to my sample. Anyway, i bought it, and the wearing experience has made me realize that not all fragrance has to be groundbreaking and challenging. Sometimes comforting, "easy" scents are exactly what you need.

KerriZ

A burst of Apple and I thought "Oh, I"m going to like this. It's a warmer version of DKNY Be Delicious. It dried down super quickly to a sweet creamy vanilla. I got no spice and the Apple I thought I could wrap my nose around - gone. Nice if you are a gourmand lover. I am not.

mirrorghost

opens with mostly apple and some vanilla. i get a slight booziness...i normally avoid apple scents, but i'm not sure what's giving the apple liqueur thing. later it gets more creamy and vanilla heavy, like apples coated in whipped cream. there is a tiny hint of cinnamon along with some coconut that adds to the creaminess. honestly, not bad for an apple scent, which i usually dislike, but this still isn't personally my thing.

confetti.mu

It's a synthetic "fresh apple" scent mixed with whipped cream fluff, powdery vanilla (almost marshmallowy), and heavy on the musk. I don't smell any cinnamon or spice at all. This does NOT smell like apple pie nor is it warm and spicy (don't get tricked! If you want apple pie go with Ambre Narguile, Angel's Share, Oajan 🥧). On my skin, it just smells like a very synthetic musky chemical/plastic(?) scent that is a tiny bit off putting, but it's light enough to not feel the need to wash it off. I don't hate it, but I don't love it.

Sigh... Apple scents are hard to create! :/ 🍎🍏

Hype is real and worthy on this one. I’m amazed by the quality of the ingredients. Lasts and projects. Btw this is the only perfume I ever received a compliment for. I never ever get compliments like apparently all the perfume influencers lol….

cgaleb

A little fruity from the apple, very sweet from the vanilla and coconut. I don’t really get any cedar and cinnamon, but maybe they’re just there to ground the fragrance. I’ve sampled this a couple of times and while it’s in my opinion a very good option if you like this profile, I’m just not a gourmand person. Longevity was ok, 3-4 hours before it faded. Moderate projection.

Kjkoni

Just sprayed my sample of this and was immediately reminded of my fave cheapie “Casablanca”…. Wow, so much similarity! I will say that to my nose Casablanca actually has more depth and actually smells more expensive and La Danza actually has body spray vibes 😳 gorgeous bottle tho! 😍

ljsmith

Remember Bath & Bodywork’s Country Apple from the 90s? This is her now. She’s in her 40s.

Cadaverine

If you like apples in your perfume and opt for gourmands, this is a fairly safe fragrance.

My nose recognizes three intertwining themes: crisp, fresh apple dancing with an apple shampoo note and then both of them melting into a buttery vanillic apple pie.

It's not the one we used to bake at home though, you won't find there the prominent cinnamon note (here it's subdued if detectable at all) or specific moistness from the apples. It's not a homemade pie, but a slightly synthetic version of it bought in a bakery chain - lovely, universally evocative, but not that authentic.

That's fine though, since it's still nice and cozy, just not *the* apple pie I use as a reference to measure my ultimate apple pie experience.

Linthomas11

It’s a pretty vanilla caramel apple. On me it’s relatively linear and light. Everybody raved about it so I had to check it out and I was underwhelmed. It’s easy to love but I just felt it was overwhelmingly basic. In short it’s sweet and pretty but just not interesting enough for my personal taste.

FlowerSeeker

Big sweet vanilla, bright orchard apples, a bit of bergamot lemon. Very nice blend.

Edit: I also tried the “Extrait” version and didn’t enjoy it as much. It had a strong bitter note along with a dairy vibe. I don’t want to smell like dairy.

deja1sabel

the freshest red apples, picked from an orchard, enveloped in sweet marshmallows. very vanilla and comforting musk forward as the apples fade over time, and the woody cinnamon adds depth to the sweetness. sillage is moderate, and lasts about 4-5 hrs on skin but much longer on clothes (6-8 hrs)

marilyn62

A friend of mine suggested that I pair this with Kyse Delizia di Marshmallow and Tihota and oh my goodness, it's GOOD!! This combo lasts all day too!! Highly recommend!!

ataraxiuh

oh i loveeee this :(
it’s so comforting and cozy like hugging a pretty girl that washes her hair with apple shampoo. i feel like wearing this when i want to be perceived as tender and loving, a girl-next-door perfume

Caprisumn

Smells like apple shampoo

MuchachaJ

This perfume is unique for my nose, perfect fresh natural apple. Such a shame there is a zero longevity here! Sprayed 10+ times, holds for 30 minutes..

fluffyigloo

Very edible, sweet and lemony apples, round and slightly boozy vanilla. I do love the scent and i don't think it really compares with any other fragrance that i know of: it's not too sweet, not too gourmand, the vanilla here truly has a natural and creamy quality. I feel like they really nailed the balance between natural and synthetic notes.
It doesn't really have a true evolution, the opening is kinda fresh but then it pretty much stays the same for the rest of the time, and I mean that in a positive way (if a fragrance like this had a complex evolution honestly I would find myself only liking it for a certain amount of time, instead it's solid all the way through).
However, after trying it in 3 different occasion in the cold weather, I do have to say the performance, even on very well hydrated skin, is really disappointing: the sillage is almost non existent from the beginning (nobody perceived this on me with 4-5 sprays) and the longevity is around 4hrs.
I will be saving my sample for the warmer months because this is definitely an year-round appropriate (the spices in here are very delicate so it doesn't scream "fall and cozy") and i'm curios to see how the sillage is with a higher temperature, even though I'm pretty sure it will dissipate even faster.

Zethre

Fresh apple, slightly shampoo type apple, hint of buttery vanilla. I can't smell cinnamon etc, it's really just sweet apples.

Tapinview

Totally surprised by falling head over heels for this after trying the sample set, and had to get a bottle. There’s something so incredibly nostalgic about it, tugging on the heartstrings from long ago, but why…..? Is it the apple in the lunch box that usually did the round trip back home? Is it some apple fragrance like Be Delicious that I shrugged off a couple of decades ago? People are saying shampoo, but I’d remember that, and always avoided heavily scented toiletries anyway. It’s also totally utterly different to anything I own, and I’ve gone full ham on all things fruity. So light, sweet, vanillic, and beautiful. I’m finding the performance really good too, and am almost shocked at what great value it is for niche in Australia. (Better not say too much.) A fresh sweet apple, a bright blue sky.

crushedmarigolds

smells exactly like a shampoo i sometimes use.

Zentocs

OMG, this is a very lovely perfume for every day wear, every ocassion. I can get mostly the vanille and apple, so I adore it! It has a 6-8 hours longevity and good performance in the first 4 hours. Not too complicate but good quality. It makes me always happy! I received it from my Husband, so I think man can love this in a woman.

Becktothebone

Reminds me of BBW Country Apple!
90’s nostalgia here!

Angaby17

Beautiful but sad price is to high price for poor longevity. Dont buy this perfume no body cant smell you

Maya lilac

La Danza della Libelulle is a weird name for a fragrance. Don’t get at all the connection.

But the juice is good. Is not great because of the rather weak performance. Opens with a very realistic smell of apples and some dusting of cinnamon on top, like a delicious apple pie, but not very sweet, something I would wear in the fall months. The dry down goes into a tropical direction, with coconut and vanilla. Makes me think of a scent I would wear in the summertime. It’s not 100% tropical scent but leaning in that direction.

It is definitely a unique combination of fruits and seasons in a bottle which makes it perfect for wear all year round. Maybe not necessarily in the winter cause I can’t see it being strong enough.

Moderate performance, low sillage. Pass for me!

marilyn62

Wow!! I first bought La Danza about a year ago and when I first wore it it gave me more of a fresh, apple shampoo vibe and I was not impressed (I love gourmands). So I thought I would give it another try last night and oh my goodness! I was pleasantly surprised! I actually got the sweet apple with the creamy vanilla and a touch of cinnamon!! No more shampoo smell! I am in love! I was even considering decluttering this one and I am SO glad I didn't! La Danza lasted about six hours or so on me and after the first hour or so it was a more intimate scent bubble. Very enjoyable and I can't wait to wear it more in the coming fall!

Sniffathon

It does open up with slight apple-shampoo vibes but in a mouthwatering way combined with the vanilla and cinnamon. Lovely and unique, niche quality, but sadly a little too sweet for my tastes. Strong like but not a love.

Ilikewhatilike

Bangin! Gourmand that’s an easy wear in heat. Red apple and vanilla.

Unisex for sure.

saltingsmells

this made me truly appreciate apple as a note and with each wear continues to make me feel like i’m discovering this fruit over a bed of vanilla for the first time all over again

RaggedyAnn

I disliked the cinnamon apple at the start-a little shrill for me -but the drydown with the musky vanilla and the cinnamon apple in the background was really nice. Nice enough for a full bottle and I don't regret it at all. It's one of my go-to grabs.

flem

Sweet vanilla with a citrus backdrop. It’s as if the design brief was “what does a very fresh, fruity, and citrusy vanilla smell like. A day time, summer time vanilla. Has big time cream soda vibes. Reminds me of Green Lover but without the noticeable orange note and more of a ‘general citrus and fruit’ feel.

The vanilla stays the same all the way through to the dry down, but the fruity/citrusy dies out after an hour or so. The final vanilla is simple and smooth, reminiscent of the dry down of Lira.

astrorocks

This is my favorite fragrance, but I find it difficult to describe - more so than most. It's very sweet, but it's a fresh apple. Apples picked straight from the orchard. There's a caramel-apple-pie-creaminess there...but as though you're smelling that apple pie from a distance on a clear fall day while it cools in a window nearby. It's light, refreshing and not a heavy-handed gourmand. This really works with my skin chemistry because it smells in the bottle just like it does on my skin and it stays that way for several hours. Eventually, after about 8 hours (fragrances tend to last a longer time on my skin than most), I am left with the melted french vanilla ice cream you didn't quite finish with your slice of caramel apple pie and I'm not mad about that at all. I don't get much citrus, but I get a lot of cream - more so than most fragrances I've tried labeled 'lactonic' which, so far, rarely smell creamy or milky once they dry on me. I think this is due to the vanilla/coconut/musk base, but I definitely get a lot more vanilla and coconut and not a lot of musk. I am generally avoidant of musky scents, which do horrors to my nose and head, so this is not a heavy note here if that's a worry for you. Every time I wear it, I get actual compliments. For me, it's a good all-season perfume and my biggest 10/10 (along with Salome, it's complete counter really).

teenwolf

This is not a realistic apple pie by any means, what it does evoke is the image of you looking at a picture of a cartoon drawing of a apple pie on a gingham table cloth covered wooden table.

The apple here is crisp yes but its not realistic and smells rather like shampoo, but the vanilla here smoothens the experience to make this a comforting scent, the scent is almost buttery but not sickly sweet or heavy, if anything its rather airy and suitable for summer even in high humidity. It smells niche and the scent has an intimate scent bubble which for this kind of fragrance is what i prefer. Its not a juvenile scent and can be enjoyed by all ages, a rather genderless scent imo, if anything i feel like if a toy Barbie had a scent this would be it, but just cuz Barbie wears this does not mean toy Kens can't either.

Kotikina

Love from the first sniff. It is a creamy vanilla bomb mostly, then the apple, then everything else. The apple note is more prominent in the opening, but then becomes subtler. What I really like about this composition, that everything somehow 'knows its limits' (well, apart from vanilla). It is very sweet, yet it stops right before getting cloying. The cinnamon is here, but rather shy, because this note tends to be very overpowering when it is listed in many other perfumes. It is happy and light hearted, yet not juvenile. Someone pointed out that this smells like apple pie dough before you put it in the oven, and yes, I can agree with this :)

Is it similar to Casablanca? Yes and no. It is a bit like if Casablanca and Toy2 had a very beautiful offsrping. I think it can be worn during spring and summer, because it is really sparkling.

ForTheLoveOfFrag

As someone that lived and breathed juvenile vanilla scents (Vanilla Bean Noel anyone?) this is so not that! I own this one and tried the Exceptional Edition and bot are wonderful in terms of longevity and sillage but this one does tune down the apple a bit. If the vanilla and cocoa are too much for you in this one, if you want the "fresher" version, def check out Exceptional.

This works so beautifully for me, I was so frustrated that I couldn't find a vanilla forward fragrance without florals! I wanted a "grown up" VBN or WVS, when I found this I was ecstatic.

This is like the fall/winter counterpart to Zoologist Cow! On my skin, it's warm apple pie a la mode for sure but it's not cheap feeling. What you see in the notes is what you get EXCEPT that the coconut is a mistake, that is not in this at all. It's cocoa! If you like HoS Hufflepuff (kicking myself for not getting a FB) absolutely check these out.

Aveline

Dare I say...I think I have the chemistry this works on. I really didn't know what to expect based on reviews. Will this be warm apple pie? Cool shampoo? Well, it's both somehow. The apple is definitely of the green variety, fresh and crisp. Yet there's a quality of sweet crust and vanilla ice cream. More of a chilled late summer pie than a cozy fall one. Sometimes it feels very realistic, other times it's more like a scented product, but not in an off-putting way. I hate fake cinnamon and do not get any here. It's comforting, like something you remember from either a childhood bath or breakfast. I also get Nature's Path "healthier" pop tarts. Very good. Not a strong scent nor do I find it headache inducing; I wouldn't count on more than a few hours longevity. I appreciate that Lucky Scent offers an affordable travel size, as so many niche brands do not.

aikokki

This was not it on me. Everyone talks about how it smells like a warm cinnamon apple pie which I was hoping for, but it is sickeningly sweet of vanilla and smells like a cheap apple cinnamon car freshener, as another reviewer mentioned.
Smells juvenile and not sophisticated or photorealistic. Hard pass.

sovietine

Well, I saw this praised in all forums and got a sample to try. I can’t immagine any serious woman to wear this. It’s so sweet, so cloying, apple and cinnamon… in a bad way, not a cosy way. Also gives vibes of a teenage perfume but with a very strong longevity. Yuck!

briannadedrew

Absolutely to die for. I was worried about the cinnamon note because although I like spice in fragrances, there's something about the combination of apples and cinnamon that I've never really been a fan of even to taste. But thankfully it really takes a back seat here and the apple and vanilla are the shining stars. This and Akro Bake are the only two gourmands I've tried that are actually good for warmer seasons as well. Apple and vanilla may not sound all that interesting but trust me, it's absolutely stunning and classy.

Cazza759

This is 95% the same as Hufflepuff to my nose. Which means it's good. I like Hufflepuff better though.

lannefenty

I really wanted to like this but it must not be intended for my skin chemistry - 0 apple, 0 cinnamon, only stale vanilla. Like one of those cheap tree-shaped car fresheners that make you nauseous after a while.

rita.zaretskaya

On my skin smells like cardboard perfumed very lightly with something non-distinct.

Hartsy3

This is the perfume that I want my children to remember me by. It smells like a freshly baked apple pie in the best possible way. It is comforting, fun, wholesome and nurturing. This is a warm embrace. This is love in olfactory form. I think this would be a perfect Mother's Day gift for a sophisticated, young mom. But anyone can wear this and feel special and happy. It's perfection!

queen of confrontation

It's giving celery.

Birdie1225

Best apple of any of the 300 + perfumes I own. All year rounder. Not heavy or dense for summer or too light for winter. Strong projector and performer. It is not like Casablanca or Angels Share of which I own both. The apple note stays throughout.

x.rina.x

It is a very very lovely, playful, light but potent fragrance. But if u searching for a thick dense apple pie gourmand scent, then this one won't be your cup of tea. As i say it is a light, sweet & sour, chrispy and sparkling fruity fragrance which is brightly iridescent & shiny. But at the drydown the silky smooth, almost lactonic coconut-vanilla combo is soften the whole composition, and the scent became mellow, delicate and ethereal while it's still sparkly. The name totally suits the fragrance. The dance of the dragonfly. The iridescent, shiny veil like thin wings which are dancing in the breeze and in the bright sunlight. If u are gourmand lover, it could be a nice catch for carefree, joyful summer ( and spring) days. The sillage in the first ( or the first 2 hours) is big, but after that it becames moderate, but the longevity is quite nice!♡
(If u are searching for a fragrance which is more like 'apple pie' gourmand type, then try
Pierre Guillaume - TonkaBodycon ! That one is more a fall-winter type fragrance with honey covered apples with some rum on a vanillary tonkabean base. )

smccmurphy

Wowowow I’ve never smelled apple done in such a delicate, creamy way. Absolutely beautiful. I can kind of understand how people might compare this to a candle, however it is a very subtle, unlit soy candle or in my opinion more lipsticky- definitely not some super intense yankee candle at the dentists office.

Hamano_Chiaki

I think people expecting a true apple pie gourmand will be dissapointed. It is sweet and I can see where the pie reference comes from but it is also much fresher and lighter than that imo. There's also hardly any cinnamon and no butteriness. It doesn't remind me of other vanilla gourmands like Lira but more like musky vanilla florals like Delina; I think it's the tartness mixed with musky vanilla that gives me Delina-vibes. The vanilla is not particularly creamy or heavy which to me is a good thing. The apple note does remind me a little of apple-scented dish soap, but I like it! Due to its lightness I think this scent will work year round.

italiancandi

I never want to be without this. This is the holy grail fragrance I’ve been searching for my whole life. This and the exceptional version (heavier apple on that one) are everything
A disney princess would wear this
A juicy sweet red apple coated in a vanilla shell, with a hint of the cinnamon
This is an all year scent. It can even be worn in summer and I mean that
Longevity is fantastic
Sillage is moderate

Shaina87

I really love this one. It's strong on the apple but it also has a shampoo vibe to it.. in the best way. It smells clean, airy, fruity and juicy! This is what I want to wear on days when it's a jeans and white t-shirt kind of day. The vanilla is there rounding it all out. And it's sweet but not a dense, gourmand sweet. It's almost sparkling if that makes sense. It just makes me feel happy when I wear it. I definitely want to try the Exceptional Edition now.

perfume_angel

Ok I will start off by saying that this is not exactly what I expected it to be, but I nonetheless LOVE this perfume!❤️

So from the notes listed, I expected a thicker more coconutty and cinnamony apple pie fragrance. I expected a dense and heavy gourmand. But let me tell you this is opposite of heavy! It definitely is a delicious gourmand but it is an airy, fruity, and shampooey gourmand. I definitely smell the apple, but it is very crisp and sweet. Like a sweet and fruity apple shampoo or body wash. It smells like you showered with a sweet red apple shampoo and body wash, then applied a sweet vanilla body cream afterwards. 🍎🍦🧴

Even though this is a fruity and shampooey fragrance, it somehow manages to have a delicious creaminess to it. I can definitely smell alot of vanilla in it and it makes it so edible. If you are thinking cheap shampoo then this is not it! It’s a luxurious well blended shampooey smell, if there is such a thing lol. If I were to describe this in a few words it would be: a creamy and sweet apple and vanilla shampoo!

Keep in mind, if you are expecting a dense apple pie then this might not be the one for you! There is zero cinnamon in this (Which I think would be crucial for a realistic apple pie scent). 🥧🍎

Also, it’s longevity and sillage are both great and its extremely potent. I adore it!

Ps. It is similar to Casablanca and Ebhar, but this is much more fruity/ shampooey. I love the 2 mentioned but personally La Danza is my favourite.

almondluver1

This is a very sweet, tart & candied vanilla fragrance. Kinda like a creamy, lemony candy kind of tart vanilla (if that makes any sense lol). Also super lactonic and fluffy smelling. If I had to put a label to this, I'd say that it's very bright, playful, sweet, and youthful. Really pretty, I haven't smelled a vanilla quite like this! I definitely get the Casablanca resemblance— it’s like that but a bit girlier and more youthful… kinda fruity/shampooy in the way Escada Candy Love and Ariana Grande Thank U Next 2.0 is.

Sjosepey7

Didn’t really like it the first few days I tried it (weather was warm/hot) but fell in love with it once I tried it on cooler days.

As someone below said, on cool days, it seems like green apple and vanilla cake.

On hot days? Too much for me

terrapin-tank

at first spritz there is a definite sensation of having splashed shampoo all over the place, but the drydown is just lovely: dainty, airy yet enduring. i’d say this leans more towards apple blossom pie than it does apple pie.

Sreza7

Overall, I get a warm but fresh apple pie ice cream type of scent. It's creamy, and delicious.

pisinoe

It's not in the note but at first sniff this smells exactly like this fruit from Brazil my childhood friends liked to steal from a great uncle's tree: Siriguela or Pitomba, I don't remember which because I hate anything sour. While this is fresh and sour at first it does become more creamy with time and is an interesting scent, I can't detect any coconut or apple at first but it does smell like a fancy shampoo after a while.

Lsquared

I had to immediately wash this off. I love apples, but not apple cider vinegar & that's literally all I could smell. Apple cider vinegar & some cinnamon sprinkled on top. I think this brand may just be too niche for me because I didn't like another one of their popular fragrances either

JJrmlwcz

Green apple vanilla cake. That is what comes to mind when smelling the first sprays from La Danza delle Libellule. I can almost taste my mother's apple pie with Polish crumble batter. The crunchy sugar, hint of cinnamon and the pie being fully cooled down. And that's a funny detail about this fragrance, it is very specific smelling like cooled down apple pie rather than a hot one straight from the oven.

Close to skin, La Danza delle Libellule smells less like a cake and more of green apple. I am at a loss for words to describe the scent in any more specific detail.

On paper, the fragrance is like that of a crumbleless apple pie meaning that the baked apple and cinnamon is there, but without the doughie sweetness and warmth. It smells like a delicious homemade applesauce! This is only for the gourmand lovers for sure! And I also find it to be a scent for special occasions unless you don't mind smelling like apple cake in your day-to-day. This one is for the sunny days in the garden, for the picnic in the park, for the cosy cottage stays.

To those of you who haven't tasted my mother's apple pie (which is probably all of you) La Danza delle Libellule smells of cooked apples that are half made of sweet baking apples like that of Discovery and half of sour and fresh Braeburn apples. The apples are in a delicious and perfect balance of sweet, fresh and sour. A pinch of cinnamon only alludes to the spice being used. The crumble is made with a little sour cream unlike many other recipes that only use sugar, flour and butter giving it a wonderful texture.
Baked with love at 220 degrees celsius. Have I painted you a picture yet?

La Danza delle Libellule is a mouthwatering fruity gourmand fragrance that will endear any heart unless you do not want to smell like pie and you will.

I usually don't mention this, but the atomiser is top tier too. I am so happy to have added this to my collection.

KELIZ

This is a bright fresh crisp apple. So refreshing!
For me, this is a Spring/Summer apple - not the cool weather apple pie, apple cider as some say.

aviegravy

sweet, gorgeous, and incredibly wearable. the apple shampoo note in the opening thankfully recedes. i don't go feral for this like many others do, i like other vanillas and gourmands much more, but this is a universally lovable scent.

dredoggwhatwhat

Love at first sniff!!! I get a very vivid picture of freshly cut, crisp green apples dipped in vanilla cream when I smell this! It is photorealistic imo, so much so I'm fact that it makes my mouth water and my stomach growl in hunger! And I received an unsolicited compliment from my husband and my son, which always makes my day 😁

echounit

Light, beautifully crisp apples settle into a cradle of warm vanilla and spice. This strikes me differently depending on what time of year it is, but because it is well-balanced and not too heavy, it works for me in both summer and winter. I can't decide which I prefer.

Lyonside

Foreword: maybe it's just my skin taking away character from the more delicate fragrances (it's not the first time), but...
Reading the olfactory pyramid and looking at the online reviews, I was sure I would like "La Danza delle Libellule". I was tempted to buy the 100ml bottle but, for once, I was cautious (thankfully) and bought the 15ml travel version. The opening brings to mind those cloying teenage perfumes of the 90s: not at all sophisticated, let alone gourmand. It has no depth: a heavy synthetic apple immediately takes centre stage and relegates this fragrance to the juvenile category.
There is little evolution, and the cinnamon (one of my favourite notes) on my skin does not come out—just apple.
This out-of-tune apple made me think back to when I tried Killian's Angels' Share and thought it was 'too much apple pie', well, it was definitely an excess of great quality and charm. Quite a difference, and now I miss it and crave it.
I'll try to layer it with something else to give some depth (maybe a spicy scent?) but I am just disappointed at the moment.
Not a safe blind buy, I discovered it on my own skin. :)

La Danza delle Libellule has been on my test list for quite a while, mostly because of its interesting(ly over the top) name, and the equally interesting combination of red apple and vanilla in the list of notes. I've only ever tried something similar once, Lostmarch's Lann-Ael, and I ended up liking that one quite a lot.

Unfortunately, having finally tested this one, I have to say it's not for me. I was hoping for a deliciously gourmand apple cream, apple pie kind of scent, or else something really unexpected and new, but I got neither of those. Instead there's a lot of very sweet, very creamy vanilla all the way through, made even sweeter by coconut, and beside that there's a lot of vaguely synthetic apple in the opening. Not bad by any means, but not very good either - the scents don't quite come together, and I find it slightly cloying even now that the weather has finally turned cold. Maybe that's what the name means, I do think it might attract actual insects, instead of reminding of their delicate dance.

All in all I don't dislike this scent, but that's praise so lukewarm it might as well be a total rejection. There's just not much comfort in it, which is what I want from a gourmand if I can't get sophistication (and of course the dream of having both is firmly out of reach). And just to round it all off, I don't like the bottle (not a consideration really, but another little mark against it). I'd say this is one of those you should definitely try before you buy (although that's always true, it's especially true with this one, also because it's not cheap).

nikilane

Only fresh apple on my skin... sweetness and vanilla! Where are you? :(

Hope it will work as a freshy in the summer! :)

Diamiadan

Very boring scent. Nothing special about it. Reminds me of bath and body works. Save your money.

kerriejo

I do not like this at all. The coconut note in this is incredibly nauseating and the apple note is pretty boring. I don't understand this fragrance at all. It's far too sweet, far too thick, far too cloying and smells NOTHING like apple pie as others have claimed. This was a blind buy so it's totally my fault for not sampling first, especially since it has coconut and I'm NOT a fan of coconut in my fragrances...but felt safe as it's considered a 'cult favorite'. HARD pass.

SmeagolsSister

Smells like apple cider donuts with warm coconut milk. One of best thing I've ever smelled! On my skin, the coconut milk smell was a bit more dominant, but it still smelled really warm and cozy. Maybe like a coconut milk steamed drink with a pump or two of apple cider syrup in it? I loved this and it performed really well for me, smelling just as great for 8+ hours! This is definitely going on my wishlist for a full bottle!

bintTapputi

Apple ice cream skin scent. It's lovely, if I got it for a very good deal I would enjoy it but at it's price it's not worth it due to the poor projection. Otherwise a creamy, sweet, lovely youthful, fun fragrance. 7/10

agnite

A fragrance that has something for everyone. It is also a playful, light fragrance, but at the same time with a vanilla sweetness. But not too much.
Goes straight to my wish list 👍

notnati

I like how soft and pretty this is, the red apple note is definitely the most prominent, but there is something that slightly bothers me in this perfume... I think it might be the coconut which brings an odd juxtaposition to the apple (the coconut note feels too warm against the cold apple note if I can describe it that way). What I appreciate most in this perfume is the opening - no sharp alcohol notes, just the lovely red apple. I think the price point is fair for what you get.

HecateZeusIsis

This is a great fall gourmand, with a crisp apple opening.....the vanilla starts shining through 5-7 minutes and turns into a warm apple pie smell. Beautiful bottle as well, feels very expensive and slightly magical...love this one.
I was worried this would smell like Kayali eden apple (the only Kayali I dislike) but it absolutely does not. This one smells very realistic and not like kids shampoo.
P.S - Doesn't smell like Angel's Share either.

Lnvines

Unfortunately when I actually tried it, I didn't like it as it made me sick. I really wanted to love it and tried it for a second time but when my sister smelled it she commented on the weird sick smelling scent it gave off.

anthonystark

It's very sweet, I get the apple and I get the cinnamon.
I really wanted to like this, and to some degree, I do it's really not a bad scent, it just smells matronly. It's the kind of smell that reminds me of someone's aunt.
And it kind of gives me a headache whenever I catch the scent. Weirdly enough when I wore it I worried people will get offended by how strong it was, but no one commented on it, and they even said they couldn't detect my perfume, but I caught whiffs of it all the time and it made me nauseated by the end of the night in the same way Mugler's Alien does.

I really wanted to love this fragrance but it’s far too sweet on me, the gourmand notes overpower everything else. I wish there was more red apple as that would cut through the vanilla and cinnamon and give a crispness to the scent.

oranges001

This is the most comforting fragrance ever. Really clean fresh apple that dries into super warm vanilla, musk and cinnamon, like others are saying - there's something about it that's more blooming and subtle than other gourmand fragrances. It has elevated girl next door vibes, innocent but also beautiful enough to be a little bit sexy in the way that that archetype is. This feels like wearing a hug to me.

irlfireprincess

I mostly get juicy, sweet, slightly tart apple from this. I don’t get a fruit shampoo vibe; it’s pretty realistic to me. I don't get any of the cinnamon or cedar in the middle. In the base, I can still detect a bit of apple, plus some sweet vanilla and just the faintest wisp of coconut. I'm really into sweet gourmands but this was almost too sweet at times for me. I really wish it had been a little more spicy and woody. For several hours it was 100% apple and then apple and vanilla, so I just wish there were another element to make it more interesting. With two sprays per wrist this lasted a good 8 hours though, so I was happy with the performance. I'd say this is best for spring and fall. I feel it's pretty overpriced for what it is, but it's nice.

I layered with Kilian Princess to make it more interesting, and it did help, but this fragrance kind of overpowered Princess, which I wasn't expecting. The ginger, lemon, and green tea from Princess added interest to the apple from this fragrance.

JuneBug_89

Beautiful and cozy. Makes me think of autumn and cozy luxury sweaters ☺️

fragrance_girl

Mesmerizing. Truly unique scent.
I've tried almost all scents from Lucky scent/Scent Bar and this one (among a few other scents) stood out to me the most. It's a gourmand scent that is not too sweet or heavy. Mouthwatering and addictive. Red apple is detectable, but it's very well blended. I keep coming back to it.
Star of the brand.
Worth trying when you get a chance.

Jnspeas1

It reminds me of Casablanca but I seem to prefer that one over this. I like the Apple and caramel combo of Casablanca. For some reason I’m not a fan of the vanilla in this.. or maybe it’s the mix with the coconut that’s off putting to me. Idk BUT I do love the opening! The dry down is another story.

Update: This grew on me and I purchased a full bottle. No regrets!

emilia123

this is a really nice caramel apple scent with cinnamon. perfect for fall. i am nervous that this could become cloying if oversprayed though.

Oriental_Dream

The Dance of the Dragonflies… 🍎🥥

Finally the wait is over!!

This beauty constantly changes/evolves on my skin and I’ve never smelled anything like it.

Absolutely gorgeous!!

Kaylovely

I got a sample from Luckyscent, I fell in love. Strong apple with other notes in the background.
I got a fb from Fragrancenet and I feel the top note of Apple is evaporated already.
Have a sample of the Exceptional version otw. Hoping that's better. May just have to buy it retail.

It's never about other people's opinions. They can confirm or deny but never be our own!
Some may have gotten a bottle similar to me and certain notes are gone. Top notes are the cheapest usually and are the first to evaporate. Not much fragrant oil vs alcohol for top notes.

EE is wayyyyy better. Omg if this is apple pie that is apple cobbler in heaven:)
Not much of a price difference either. Unless you are buying the reg version on discount. Which I don't recommend seeing the apple note was evaporated.

Ffffsm

Just came to confirm what the previous comment said.
Start with a strong red apple note that give a shampoo vibe then it becomes really creamy.
The apple is still dominant all the time to my nose.

Aglopez09

It was love at first sniff for me. It started out very apple heavy, but with a freshness that reminded me of a fruity shampoo. The dry down may be my favorite part. It is a fruity, and creamy. Easy to wear, and in all seasons. She is going on my To Buy list!

QueenieIrenie

Such a pleasant apple vanilla scent. It's delicate, sweet, and effortlessly chic. I can see this worn year round, but I have so far only tested in warm weather and it blooms. Gourmand that isn't too "foodie." I don't really pick up on other notes besides apple and vanilla, but the apple is a fresh, crisp red delicious, and the vanilla is like vanilla bean ice cream. Together, it's almost like an apple pie a la mode. I was getting tired of gourmands and was not into smelling like a cupcake/marshmallow/cookie. But this is so charming and different from other perfumes I've smelled. My husband was not impressed with this one on me, but my kids loved it and that convinced me to splurge on a FB :)
Edit: after smelling it even more, I'd say it's more like baked red apples with vanilla ice cream, rather than apple pie a la mode.

Beebsylon

All the negative reviews here are wild—I have a feeling most of the haters are the big, bold designer frag lovers. Anyway, this is a soft, sweet, delicate, and comforting Italian dream. SO fluffy, yet also crisp and refreshing. It's not all about the apple, though: I''m into the cinnamon, cacao, and musk, too. If yr looking for a loud and sexy stunner, this ain't it (thankfully)...

antisocialite

this perfume smells like you’re sitting outside at a cafe in that idealized version of paris that exists only in your mind on a brisk day in the middle of october. i feel like a little coconut cream puff when i wear this. guys seem to like this one, but i’m a lesbian and i don’t care.

Iepurica19avril

Smells like shampoo.and it gave me a headache.

Dimmyinthecity

I see where is says that I reminds people Casablanca, it does not. Casablanca is old navy purse in 1983.
This smells like TOY2.

fantomette

Not bad !
The first blast of apple is a bit artificial smelling but it quickly mellows down to a cinnamon-y vanilla coconut kind of scent. It’s okay, nothing groundbreaking. I don’t think it’s worth the price.
It’s very strong and a little headache inducing so don’t overspray. Imo more fitting for summer !

The Wolf

Testing this tonight courtesy of a decant from a fragrance friend.
First impression: I like it. The apple smells crisp, fresh, and and I'm definitely picking up on a pillow soft vanilla with a bit of coconut.

Reading other reviews and someone mentioned marshmallow and I get that. A powdery marshmallow but not too strong like the Kilian variety which I don't like.

Careful with the trigger, this stuff is pretty strong.
I'd wear this on a cool/cold day or night.

Scent 6.5/10
Performance 7.5

gandabear

Was expecting to love it, after all the hype. But comes across very synthetic and cloying. If you want an apple pie fragrance I think the killian one is better (angels share).

LisaMCollins

After 30 minutes this smells of apple pectin shampoo from the 90s and a hint of Kraft caramels.

Cosmina07

Something changed to my nose, the apple is potent, juicy but crisp.. I’m confused because I like it now and I splurged for whole bottle 🥺

LSAUG

This perfume is a nice enough red apple/bergamot and vanilla perfume. Again, nothing captures me. Another perfume that lacks mystery and depth. Just another what you see is what you get. Boring, nice but boring.

the_proust_effect

This isn't an apple pie scent at all to me, but crisp apples with the barest hint of spice, wrapped in airy marshmallow with a touch of lotion-y creaminess, and a lot of woodiness on the drydown. Both the original and exceptional edition are just so likeable. They're very similar, but the exceptional edition is a bit stronger, richer, and the lotion-y note is more prominent (which is why I prefer the original). A delicious, high quality gourmand with apples and cinnamon that doesn't smell like apple pie and could be worn year round. No, it's not super complex, and for many, that's part of its appeal. Sometimes you just want a fragrance to uplift you and not challenge you.

quelledame

A beautiful apple pavlova resting on the kitchen counter of a dreamy, ivy-covered cottage on a cool and dewy summer morning. Don't be fooled by the notes of cinnamon and vanilla; this can be worn year-round. In fact, this will likely be my summer go-to. Good performance overall (moderate projection, lasts approx. 6 hours), and like other fragrances from this house, the vanilla drydown is delicious.

betsyglez8

I’ve had a few apple fragrance , and apples can be addicting . But some of these past apple fragrance I use to own would be more synthetic .

This one is so good , I feel it a very sweet apple that almost turns in to a pear . But it’s still an apple it has that special touch wich makes it so unique and elegant . Not cheap sweet . This is a gem if you love fruity fragrance🍏

Chelsea.gal

La Danza is a magical scent for me. An instant mood-lifter. Ethereal, charming, elegant, comforting, nostalgic.

On first impression, it reminded me of the Bath & Body Works Apple Weather candle. I was hesitant to buy a full bottle because of its similarity to a fall candle. But I wore the sample around and after testing, I fell in love with it. It’s airy, uplifting, fresh, playful, and sweet. I mainly get crisp red apple, vanilla, and baking spices. It gives both brisk autumn morning air and freshly washed hair. Both of which are very happy scent associations for me.

I find that this can smell quite artificial when you’re smelling it up close or burying your nose in it, but the magic is in the scent bubble and scent trail.

Cyn_Belle

This is a beautiful fragrance - caramel apple notes sitting on a bed of cosy vanilla and musk. It’s a bright and vibrant mood lifter . However, I can’t help but think I’d prefer it if this fragrance was a candle …. I’d love for my home to smell like this. It’s giving a bit of a Yankee candle vibe ….it’s giving a bit of expensive shampoo vibes too.

Love the scent just not as a perfume.
Performance is decent, it projected quite loudly for about 4 - 6 hours before settling into a skin scent and feel it creates a lovely scent trail as well so has moderate sillage.

I’ll happily use up my 2ml sample but will not be buying a full bottle.

buster21

I just sold this because I never wore it. I found it too sweet ( caramel apple) but bought it after reading many positive reviews. Just not for me.

smellysmello

An enchanting mood-lifter and one of my favorite fragrances. Smells just like a caramel apple to me, with a mix of sweet vanilla, citrus tart and a dash of cinnamon. Somehow the combination manages to present itself as a truly wearable perfume, and not a cheap-smelling gourmand novelty. I really enjoy this in fall and winter - it's cozy and fun. Decent performance, moderate projection, unisex. The bottle is lovely as well.

ilayda

A very fruity sweet vanilla scent but also spicy and warm. The cinnamon is there but not overbearing. Looking at the notes I thought it would be like angels share by killian but it is very different. It’s quite powdery but it doesn’t bother me much. I get a lot of coconut personally but I don’t feel as though this fragrance is tropical in any way

Kronstadt

I wouldn’t suggest La Danza delle Libellule by Nobile 1942 is apple pie-like, although I can see that. I’d suggest the better comparison is apple cider with a cinnamon stick as a swizzle stick. Very sweet and absolutely delicious. The opening is bright and dominated by the apple accord, but the cinnamon isn’t far behind. The vanilla and musk start to emerge about 20 mins after applying. I agree with those comparing dance of the dragonflies with Joop All about Eve. That’s pretty close, but it’s different. More subtle, more professional, with a lot more complexity in the dry down. A real great find for those after a sweet apple fragrance. Beautiful.

ladolcemae

So disappointed. I can definitely smell the apple, now where’s the pie ? It’s just a fresh, light, shampooey apple. I’m pretty sure Dop has something exactly like this, for 2 bucks. It may be a nose thing, or because i’ve tried it on a whim? But i’ve never been so shocked and delusional about a perfume since trying tom fords for the first time. Not blind buy safe.

antolin1

This is such a lovely winter and holiday scent for me! It truly is warm apple pie, apples soaked in brown sugar with lime juice, with vanilla ice cream melting into all the crevices of a buttery crust. While I know it’s been done before in similar ways, here the apples continue to dance with the vanilla throughout wear (although admittedly its not so steady, its sneaky, wafting up every now and again). Other differences I appreciate are that the vanilla is incredibly realistic on my skin. There’s just something about this that I find a little different, maybe due to the lack of lactonic presence of my other gourmands. I do wish this had better staying power - When I purchased this and wore in hot weather, it went ghost within an hour. In colder weather and night wear, it does cling to skin and clothing much better, but still only 2-3 hours tops. However, it smells so delicious I quite enjoy re-applying.

jessr777

French vanilla ice cream melting over warm, tart apple pie. If this is too fruity and sweet for you at first, give it time. The dry down is delicious. It does smell a bit synthetic, but not so much that it ruins it for me. Beautiful and comforting. VERY sweet, but the apple and bergamot give it a crispness that keeps it from becoming too cloying.

CaseyKCK

I like sweet smelling fragrances, but this was too sickly sweet for me. It also didn't last that long on me.

sibaraa

Dear me!!! I need this asap. This is the tastiest homemade apple cider without a lot of cinnamon. Edible in the most delicious sophisticated way. I get a little of the plastic doll smell. Which reminded me a little of the Hanae Mori perfume. This is gorgeous...

Calliope8

The dry down is very fast, so the sweet crispness is lost quickly. I get heavy-duty vanilla with a touch of musk on the dry-down. I rather like it on my skin, but agree it seems a bit anachronistic. It’s a very safe frag.

clo2005

the opening was beautiful it smelled familiar like a warm apple slightly synthetic but i don't mind at all you don't get as much apple in the dry down but it is still there it smells like a milky vanilla with apple in the background and a bit musky. i quite enjoy this, may be the first gourmand i enjoy

ingeneuxo

*Not a review*
-This is 100% the dry-down of a discontinued Bath and Body Works fragrance mist called 'Bright Lemon Snowdrops' (2019 Christmas Land of Sweets Collection)
-Save your coin and hunt for that instead.

mamiman

I was so shocked how cheap smelling this is, it's like a very artificial apple-scented body spray.

emerson10

smells like if Mugler Aura and Marc Jacobs Perfect had a baby. It's also giving me Bath and Body Works Macintosh spray (which I once spilled an entire of the room spray all over my childhood bedroom carpet so now it's forever ruined.) Like I am Trash, I find it a tad underwhelming and not satiating my apple craving. I don't dislike it, I just had high hopes.

playdoh-y, sweet, and apple-y in opening and heart.

Drydown is a warm vanilla.

KRye7

This is such a win. The apple is prominent with hints of vanilla and a touch of cinnamon. A lot of the reviews say its too cloying and sweet but to me that isnt the case. I find this to be fresh and crisp but approriate for fall time because of the vanilla notes. Its perfect for fall time for those who dont like heavy fragrances. Its absolutely intoxicating and unique and i just ordered a full bottle. This will definitely be my fall time go to.

Malleable

I get slightly complex apple shampoo vibes. It's a nice scent but not one that I am in love with because it smells a little too artificial on my skin.

i2uby

This perfume brings back some of my fondest childhood memories. My favourite Autumn activity was and still is apple picking with my family. It's like biting into a ripe red apple, specifically Gala or Fuji or drinking fresh apple cider. It's a crisp apple with a touch of tartness and it's mouthwateringly sweet but because of the cinnamon, it's well balanced and not cloying at all. The most prominent note in this perfume is definitely apple with hints of cinnamon, vanilla and coconut in the dry down. Is this full bottle worthy? Absolutely, I am looking for one. Will you buy it at retail price? Yes, I would. It's kind of hard to find in Canada. I own Angels' Share and that's more of an evening or date night scent. This one is a fresher approach, perfect for daytime or anytime of the year. It was love at first spray for me.

10.6.2021 update: Bought a full bottle from H Parfums. The new packaging opens up like a book.

bug.juice.184

I thought this perfume will be something else, it's so sweet, too sweet. Although it's not listed, I get a lot of tuberose vibes, not the apple and coconut. Dragonflies, not at all. They are in the woods, rivers, lakes...The spirit of another woman is inside, nothing to do with me, perhaps the one that likes Love Tuberose by Amouage, I see a lot of similarity in composition, and who loves Alien Fusion will love this perhaps. The longevity is great. I would say this is more extremly sweet white flowers, not fruity sweet.

Medes

It smells synthetic like a candy. Sweet, powdery, warm, feminine, with flat and unnatural notes ... Must tell its creator that if you want your perfume smells like a gourmand scent of apple, coconut and cinnamon, then why did you use so much vanilla?
He should let the other scents have an equal share, not drown in vanilla. Vanilla perfumes are abundant in the market and this perfume has nothing more to offer and will lost among that huge crowd.

Cosmina07

I ve just received a sample of this, I was so enthusiastic to try it because of the hype. It’s like a freshly baked fruit tart, lots of butter and crispy dough, everything hot but after few minutes… the topping becomes sickly sweet, cloying, synthetic. Lolitaland it s not its dupe, also not a sister for this one but they have the same artificial sweetness. I will give it another try because I want to be sure if these are my feelings but for now it s a NO. For this price if I want a headache I prefer Lolita..

wordwithchester

This is in theory right up my alley, but sadly it turns into serious candle vibes on me. I think another reviewer noted that living in New England may bring too many associations with the frenzy of synthetic apple-related smells that fall brings. I don't get a true gourmand experience from this at all, which is a bummer.

fanntonyoscar

On me, I get none of the listed ingredients. It smells like Herbal Essence shampoo. I wasn’t expecting that. I ordered my sample from Sealed Essence, so i don’t think it’s a counterfeit.

vbradford

I was afraid this would be too reminiscent of an apple candle or air freshener. But I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this is a creamy “melt in your mouth” type of scent. To me, this is a Dutch apple pie with thinly sliced apples, still slightly crisp after baking. You know the syrupy goodness inside that’s a mix of apples, vanilla, flour, cinnamon, butter, and sugar? THAT’S what this smells like. Easily one of my top ten fragrances.

mb0793

I really liked this perfume but I prefer it on paper than on my skin. On paper I get a fresh bright apple sprinkled with the most innocent vanilla. On my skin, there is no freshness and it's too sweet for my liking. Such a shame. The longevity is decent (4-6 hours) but after the first hours it's a skin scent.

Rub

Delicious, If I smell this on a girl I’d never stop smelling her. This reminds me of a lovely little county party at night near a pond with flowers and vanilla candles.

perfumesniffer

This one’s a miss for me so I’ll be brief. It starts off smelling like crisp fresh apples. Pleasant and unusual for a perfume. Then it dries down and gets sweeter and a bit like baked apples over a sheer ambery vanilla. It’s a nice aroma but not something I’m comfortable wearing on my body. Being from the New England section of the US I’ve grown up associating September through November with the scent of apples, cinnamon and cider especially for home fragrance. I just can’t abide this smell on my body. It’s like wearing a Yankee candle.

Side note: Nobile 1942 Perdizione is my #1 fragrance right now. I really love this brand and am enjoying trying them out.

ingeneuxo

-Apple-scented candle in a bottle.
-Can be cloying if worn in hot, humid weather.
-I can see febreeze making a scent like this.
-Clean, sweet fragrance that's inoffensive when worn in small dabs.(-)

sidselnielsen

This is waaaay to sweet and cloying.. And I LOVE sweet scents like Killian Love, Parfatt de roses Lancome, Delina exclusive etc.. This is just a syntetic mess between citrus and vanilla/candy or lemoncurd..
Sorry. High hopes, because of youtube hype, but Im just not there 😄 But my 20 year old daughter loves it ...

CreamSunshine

This perfume taught me that I hate red apple note. As the previous reviewer explained, after the top notes give way, this gets really unpleasant.

gourmandnotes

The name "Dance of the Dragonflies" is quite deceiving. It opens with such delicacy, sparkling notes of tart apples and cinnamon flitter and pirouette pass you like an ethereal Tchaikovsky ballerina, but then the dance becomes more of a terrifying locust plague a la Mussorgsky, as it gets denser, heavier, opaque, and overpowering. You're wondering how this beauty becomes beast (mode).

Realistically, this is more like a thick, syrupy, honeyed apple cider mixed in with freshly macerated apples, with a rich vanilla custard base, rather than a baked apple pie or apple tart. Baked apple pie suggests there's a rich biscuit-like butteriness that plays out more or equally along with the apples, which this doesn't - it's all honeyed red apples, and the longer these apples break down in its own sugars, the more potent the sweetness gets. And the sweetness is very, very strong. After some hours, it dries down to a nice vanillic musk.

There is a fair comparison and commonality with the ubiquitous Country Red Apple aromachemical (read: synthetic) flavoring found in candles. Sometimes it just smells good when the wax isn't melted, or maybe for the first few tolerable minutes, but if you kept it burning longer in a small room, the throw gets more denser and stronger to a point where it's no longer pleasurable and almost unnatural. Due to its strength, I would say this would make for a fantastic cold weather scent. Price point-wise, it's not bad gourmand perfume... Just spray with caution.

austekrc

I was looking forward to trying this perfume after I read some of the reviews that it smelled exactly like apple pie. I imagined my grandms's apple pie - warm, with lots of apples from her garden, made from buttery doug and sprinkled with cinnamon and vanilla sugar.
Well, I was VERY wrong. All I could smell is synthetic apples that reminded me of Ajax or Fairy or any other cleaning product that smells of artificial apples. No sillage, no vibe, no real natural apples, definitely no cinammon. Not the gourmand smell I would expect.

Gia1913

Apple vanilla cinnamon, super sweet and gourmand. Although smelling like food is not my thing, I think this will appeal to many people who wish to upgrade their vanilla gourmand collection.

katheryne_art

This is such a beautiful, sweet, sexy, gourmand, feminine perfume! It's not a true gourmand perfume, like a food, as it still has a perfume quality to it. Even though I love true gourmands, I absolutely love this type of gourmand perfumes as well, as they are more complex and have more depth to it. I definitely get a citrusy note in the opening that is very beautiful. I thought it's a blood orange note but after checking the notes I definitely see the combination of red apple and bergamot with vanilla and cinnamon.

It definitely reminds me of Casablanca-Swiss Arabian, however, Casablanca is too masculine for my taste, because of amber. La Danza delle Libellule is a bit softer, more feminine, very natural smelling but still very complex and just gorgeous. It also reminds me of JPG La Belle in terms of texture, which is a very beautiful perfume as well, but a little bit too much for me as it's very very syrupy.

I have just samples of all these 3 perfumes, but I will definitely get a full bottle of the La Danza delle Libellule instead of the other 2 as I am trying to keep my perfume collection very small and only with perfumes that I absolutely love and are different to each other.

smellgewd

Absolutely luscious, sexy perfume. I wouldn't say this smells like apple pie--it's not a sugary perfume, nor does it have enough spice. It lacks any dough-y lactonic aspects for it to be described as dessert-like. It's a gorgeous apple vanilla scent with the right touch of cinnamon and woods. It's a perfectly sweet gourmand, yet the bright red apple lends it a particular freshness.

I ordered La Danza Delle Libellule Extrait along with the original version from Lucky Scent, and I prefer Extrait. It's exactly the same, but more concentrated, so stronger sillage and better longevity. I'm in LOVE. I think I've found my new signature scent!

SailorV

A vanilla cake with many fine slices of slightly caramelized red apples, dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon, served with a glass of fresh cold milk. But beneath all the edible notes, there is a clean white musk base that makes clear that this is a perfume and not a real dessert.
I don't smell any coconut in this.
La Danza delle Libellule reminds me of Joop's All About Eve and therefore also a bit of Burberry Women, but it's more gourmand than those, with less of the fuzzy woody base and shampoo vibes. I like how it uses red apples instead of green apples, green apple notes often smell unpleasantly artificial to me, while red apple notes capture the sensation of biting into a crisp, sweet apple better.

I enjoy this fragrance, but I don't think I would spend a lot of money on it, as it's rather simple. This is a prime example of a scent that I would love in a candle or body care product, but that misses the little extra something that an expensive perfume needs.

Amour, Michele

I was so mystified initially as to what this reminded me of, with a distinct feeling that it’s not a positive memory lol then I saw the note breakdown and I realized it’s DG Light Blue which I dislike with a passion. The apple, the bergamot- makes sense. Then, it gets quite sweet, vanilla with a bit of spice. It really does smell like a candle, not unbearably cloying like Yankee Candle but definitely reminds me of less annoying versions you can buy cheaper at grocery stores. I’m not saying it smells exactly the same, this definitely smells more costly and not as artificial, but not by much. Not a full bottle purchase for me, obviously. I don’t want to smell like this...

PerfumeForLainy

This is so much fun!
Lactonic and red apple fresh to give an idea of the best quality vanilla ice cream melting over an apple pie, just to lure you inn. After an hour or two it is the softest creamy sandalwood vanilla possible with the most enchanting sillage that is ever so slightly gourmand, but not foodie.
It might be seasonal, by "oh, my" - it really hits the spot.

stephanieklein

It's close to the skin, but not so close that I'd forsake it. It might not blast, but it sure does last. I smelled it even the next day on my arm and clothes. It's young, lifting, like Agree shampoo used to be. While I do enjoy this, I find that DKNY Honey Nectar creates the same mood for me, that same UP, same edible snap and brightness, same holiday buzz.

sophiesmystery

I really liked the opening as it smelled exactly like vanilla bean ice cream and homemade apple compote, however, after about 1 hour it dried down to an exact copy of Dulcis in Fundo by Profumum. A sweet, yeasty vanilla-cocoa with some citrus. Unfortunately, I don’t like Dulcis as it goes weird on my skin and ends up smelling like bread pudding or oatmeal, so, not for me in particular as it doesn’t work with my skin type.

c0ffeecats2

First things first...yes, this does smell a bit like an apple cinnamon candle, BUT that's kind of why I love it...
This takes me back to early autumn mornings with my mother as a child. We would peel apples, simmer cinnamon sticks on the stove, and dozens of sweet vanilla/fall candles would be lit around the house. This is a daytime light fragrance that I dont think would be offensive to anyone if they smelt this on you - I've gotten plenty of compliments from coworkers on this. I don't really smell the coconut, but maybe that's where the 'waxy' quality comes in, not sure? The cedar is also very light, but adds a soft woody base to this fragrance. Mostly, its a sweet milky cinnamon apple that is so pleasant and beautiful :)

Puolanka

This is fine, but the Extrait version is heavenly compared to the standard / original release. Warmer vanilla, and clear quality difference.

That said, BOTH smell like Yankee Candle on my skin. I want so badly to like these. I have ordered the samples twice before and thrown them out both times. Just ordered again, hoping the fall weather would change my mind. Nope. So jealous of people this smells good on.

P.S. Lesson learned. Going forward I am not throwing out any samples so I can always resniff and remind myself WHY I didnt buy something in the past. LOL.

Spirit Rose

When I was a child near Halloween, we’d unwrap the caramel candies and melt them to make caramel apples. This is a freshly made caramel apple using tart, green apples. It smells fantastic and is going on my want list now that my sample is finished.

Dryasiulia

I don’t really like this? I can’t pin it down and gave it several tries based on the glowing reviews. For one it’s very light (almost a skin scent) and only lasts 4-6 hours. Also the apple is very artificial; it’s more jolly rancher and less apple pie. Unfortunately that apple sticks around for about 3/4 of the wear too. The last 1/4 is a decent caramel vanilla, but I have plenty of those I enjoy more.

While they’re not identical, Casablanca is cheaper, has a more natural apple and better projection and longevity.

iobhai

You're a crispy, flaky, gooey, buttery, fresh-out-of-the-oven apple pie, powdered lightly with cinnamon, and topped off with a dollop of whipped cream. It's Thanksgiving evening and every other pie is oozing with jealousy, off at a distance, lukewarm in their cardboard packages, store-bought and sad. Well, don't worry about them, because you're the comfort of the night, and maybe even the whole year. La Danza delle Libellule by Nobile 1942.

bovogie

This smells so yummy. I could just eat my arm! It smells like a fresh backed apple pie, just as everyone has stated before. It’s not Sweet in a cloying way, it’s able to be sticky sweet but fresh at the same time. It also has good longevity on my skin which happens to be like the Sahara desert.

nativelocal

So first and foremost, you absolutely need to at least sample this if you're into gourmands and you haven't done so already. This fragrance is delicious. When I smell it, I close my eyes and picture a juicy, sweet red apple that has been cut into slices on a plate. And then a rich caramel sauce has been drizzled on top. It manages to remain light, crisp and fresh while also providing a thick and decadent facet that is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.

elparf

The fragrance of happiness! One of my favorites.

Cal2601

The opening is absolutely beautiful. The first few seconds are sweet, vanilla, soft spicy underpinned by green apple. As it starts to settle, the apple gets stronger until it becomes the dominant note. It wouldn't work for everyone, but on my skin in the cooler weather, it's so lovely and comforting. I really enjoy it and my kids love Mummy smelling like warm spiced apple pie.

Unwit

This juice smells delicious and expensive. I hadn't read the notes, so I smelled the complex rendition of apple & vanilla as floral, a honey or almost a honeysuckle scent. VERY sweet and yet does NOT smell at all cheap -- That's a feat!

I don't get any cinnamon or spices at first or later, but the weightless vanilla remains on my wrist. Very nice.

gelkita

@missingpuzzle

Thanks for your detailed review, saves me wasting my time writing 100% the same things... after wasting 3€ in a sample for this scent 🤢

Sorry for people that enjoy this scent... I got my sample from Jovoy (try me service) so yes it is genuine... and I agree 100% with missingpuzzle...

missingpuzzle

I'm very surprised with all the hail and delighted comments. I'm a huge gourmand junkie yet this stuff just make my stomach sick, sorry. No apple-pie to me. Imagine a car without AC in a hot day with windows shut. An apple air-freshener is spreading sweet apple-vanilla aura around. To me it seems very cloying and artificial.
After a while I know what it reminds me of a lot - Traversee du Bosphore by L'Artisan Parfumeur with double vanilla and extra caramel. You can leave change. Pass.

my2scentsmore

I like to smell this, but I don't like to smell like this...if that makes any sense. It's sweet and comforting, but too much apple for me to wear all day.

JillyBean76

It smells like glade air freshener. Too much apple

Eris85

It's finally mine !! After having so much desired and tried in vain to find something like this, with poor results, I decided to give it to me for Christmas and what to say .. it is wonderful, sweet, fruity a real treat! I feel a lot of red apple and vanilla ..
I match it with its perfumed body lotion .. What about a winning combination !!

vergil_s

It is really hard to find a word to describe this gorgeous fragrance ! and what a beautiful name - Dance of Dragonflies-
When you spray this frag for first time after first sniff you wanna puff this frag on your mouse and inside of your head !! What a fantastic perfume, its gourmand but not over sweet, its fresh but not summery scent ! its complex but not heavy or hard to wear!
Its start with juicy pilled apple with a touch of cinnamon and vanilla vibe and a bit citrus notes on background. this combination remind me baking of apple cake with lots of happy memories. Imagine you are in a kitchen while an vanilla spongy cake in on oven you can smell mappled apple slices with cinnamon and cacao powder. yummy!
as time goes it became warmer but still "Perfectly balanced, as all things should be"
I think it is necessary to all women and even men to have this little treasure on their collection.

LadyIva

When I was a child, my grandmother used to bake a cake called ‘lazy pie’. Here’s how it’s made: one layer of sweet dough spiced with vanillin; then, one layer of filling made of sautéd apples spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg; and then another layer of the sweet dough. After the cake is baked in the oven, it can be sprinkled with icing sugar (this is optional; my grandmother would sprinkle it very generously.) Well, this fragrance smells exactly like that delicious lazy pie! However, if I had to choose whether I would rather eat a pie, or smell like a pie, guess which one I’d pick! ;)

Bubbles1964

I love La Danza delle Libellule so much, and I’m not normally a sweet gourmand person. I guess the tart apple with sweet vanilla and cinnamon is an irresistible happy scent on me. It’s simple but also complex — I love the white musk used in the drydown.

Like others, I don’t smell the coconut note, and I wish I could. That would be the only slight against this beautiful Dragonfly.

I’m not sure I would want the extract version, this one is pretty strong. I get several hours of light projection in mild fall weather. One of my all time favorites.

hsheep

It's quite bright and fresh. A crisp fruity red apple with warm vanilla that grounds it with a slight hint of cinnamon spice underneath. Really - toss those three ingredients in a bowl and it will smell like this.
It's delicious, borderline gourmand with a lean of something floral that doesn't quite come all the way through. The top three notes I get are apple, vanilla and a dash of cinnamon (I don't really get coconut, but I can see how people say it could be in there). It's very charming, light and playful, a fun and fresh appley vanilla.
Since it's on the airier side, I find it doesn't last too long. Any projection is almost gone at about 2-3 hours and lingers lightly as a skin scent only if I press my nose to my wrist.

butterbean

Delicious creamy coconut vanilla with hints of red fruity apple.

Starts very fruity apple and ends up all creamy coconut and vanilla.

This isn't tropical but easily an all year scent.

One of my very favorite scents.

minaminamina

There is NO COCONUT in this perfume....IT’S COCOA!

Check the Nobile 1942 web page.... I have this & I would love to meet the noses who managed to smell coconut in here....

Anyway....lovely fragranze. I prefer the stronger extract version. A blast of bergamot & apple that settles into cocoa and vanilla....cedar & cinnamon prevent this from being boring and ordinary.

100ml of Sass

The juicy apples in this perfume is the absolute BEST.
La Danza is a yummy coconut apple cheesecake (very smooth/creamy with dominant juicy green apples). I don't get much cinnamon. I think this scent is absolutely delightful and comforting. However, the performance kills it for me. :( poor sillage, poor longevity. Regardless of that, it's still one of my top 5 fragrances for the scent alone.

Avian

This smells primarily of cotton candy, then candied apple and a strangely floral lime get piled on. There's a wonderfully warm vanilla in the base that adds to the edible nature of Danza. It's too sweet for me to wear, but it is a fun little experience!

virtualalice

A very strong and sour apple on start and turns into a caramelized apple, then just caramel. It's light-spirited, happy and not too sweet, also pretty good sillage, i can feel it on my wrist even with my hands down, not that many perfumes work this way for me.

greycardigan

The smells like straight up strawberry candy. I love it!

Albiretu

Another decant I received in the Essential 13 Sample Pack - Feminine from Lucky Scent.

This is apple and cinnamon and a hint of vanilla on me. Not my cup of tea and I remember having something extremely similar from the Yves Rocher seasonal Christmas collection. Not for me but well blended.

BTW: I have a lot of niche decants I am looking forward to swap. Please message me if interested.

Vanilla panda

No apple whatsoever.

Freshly picked and chopped strawberries, topped with crème Chantilly made out of French fresh cream.

Said whipped cream is sweetened with icing sugar, artificial vanilla flavoured.

I can't get over how it incredibly exacts that homemade dessert (my parents grew strawberries), that's definitely a blast from my childhood!

The regressive, strawberry and cream spring frag I've been searching for.

SarahNichole

It smells like the best caramel apples you've ever had. I couldn't stop smelling my wrists when I sampled it, and had to splurge on a full bottle. It's beautiful.

adice

Apple no-bake cheesecake fresh out of the fridge, yum? Sort of comforting and nostalgic gourmand - I tend to shy away from anything in the incredibly literal "this smells exactly like food" genre and yet I'm really enjoying my sample of this sweet perfume. That said, this is not something I would reach for on the regular. I have found that while I like the smell of photorealistic gourmands I am not drawn to actually wearing them.

corkscrewcurly

This arrived today and it is gorgeous. I was recommended to try Nobile 1942 by Sad Muppet (huge hat tip to SM for this - I bought this, Sandalo Nobile and Chypre 1942 and all three are bloody awesome).

La Danza delle Libellule is a gourmand lovers' delight.

The main notes on me are beautiful, fresh juicy apples, lightly dusted with cinnamon and creamy, musky vanilla. Cedar grounds this and prevents it becoming tooth-achingly-sugary-syrupy sweet.

I tried and tried to smell the coconut - a note which normally stands out to me; I love fresh coconut, both to eat and smell, but it's definitely MIA from La Danza delle Libellule (The Dance of the Dragonflies - isn't that a lovely name?).

I was puzzled by the missing coconut, particularly as I thought I could smell creamy milk chocolate (think Lindor - those wonderful chocolate spheres, filled with ganache), so I searched the internet for clues about where the coconut might be hiding.

Always go to the source! I checked Nobile 1942 website and sure enough - I was right (huzzah and lashings of ginger beer!); there is no coconut in LDdL; here are the notes, cut and pasted from their website:

"Apple and cedar smooth vanilla in this composition which starts with Nobile 1942’s distinctive bergamot. A pinch of cinnamon, cocoa to make the ensemble truly gourmand. The unavoidable musk keeps the graceful tone of the fragrance."

Sillage and longevity are moderate - and I'd say this is a safe blind buy for any gourmand lover; it's such a delicious but subtle perfume I honestly can't believe that anyone would be offended by it.

As at 28 July 2018, allbeauty.com in the UK have 75ml of LDdL for £49.95; they have a range of Nobile 1942 on special offer - definitely worth checking out. The site won online retailer of the year recently from Which?, the consumer's champion; their products are genuine and customer service is fantastic, too.

ETA After wearing this overnight, I am revising my comments about longevity, as I can still smell this - on my dry, perfume-guzzling skin - well over eight hours later.

The thing that keeps coming to mind wearing this is: Toffee apples!

theelectra

Very sweet and delicious. I do wish the apple came through stronger. Did not react well on my skin, Settled into a bathroom cleaner/soap smell. Didn't like the coconut with these other notes.

Helenka_Pinda

Oh, this is gorgeous! Sweet, sweet, sweet and delicious with just enough muskiness underneath to keep it from flying away to Sugarland. I loved it from the first spray, wherein the lovely apple scent underscored with vanilla and a touch of cinnamon came through, then as it warmed down, the vanilla became warmer and deeper and more evident. My husband says it smells like a Patisserie - and yes, it does smell like that. The joy of that whiff of vanilla and loveliness that you get as you walk by a patisserie, not daring to go in because you'll gain 20 kilos just looking at everything. But the smell is enough and it brightens your day. Sheer loveliness. This is like happiness in a bottle.

JessDrew

La Danza delle Libellule is a freshly baked apple tart. The tart has a warm crust made from scratch, the creamiest vanilla custard (made with just a touch of lemon zest), and apples baked to perfection. As the tart cools off, the apples are gobbled down till you can't really taste it anymore. Because we always save the best for last, what is left is the creamy custard, savored with a warm glass of coconut milk. Once it's gone, you can't help but ask for seconds.

Petticoats

Delightful at first, but contains the kind of white musk that turns into the fragrance of clean laundry on my skin. If you have the same problem with some white musks, sample before buying a full bottle.

ziiish

The dry down reminds me of Vaniglia del Madagascar I Profumi di Firenze, with maybe a little extra tartness! It's quite pretty :)

joiedevivreh

The smell of a red apple farm in the fall!

Imagine you are strolling amongst the trees and catch a strong blast of fresh, crisp red apples (think a more sophisticated version of B&BW's Country Apple). Then, as you finish up apple-picking, you head towards the building where baked goods are offered, and the smell of apples fuses with a hint of cinnamon and a dose of heavy vanilla. As you take a bite of apple pie, the buttery goodness of the crust envelops you in warmth.

Although to some I may have just described a beautiful love affair, I do not love this one. While the scent itself is divine, it is something I would want in a candle or home fragrance for autumn - not on my body. It is just a bit too cloying, heavy, and gourmand for my taste. If it were fleeting I could tolerate it on myself, but who likes perfume with poor longevity?

Tommix

Im male, so im not wearing it, but my girlfriend is and i must say this perfume is VERY VERY VERY good. Light, smells good. Fruity but not sweet fruity, refreshing fruity, but also not like teenage fruity perfumes that are sweet and makes you puke :D

SilverSky

I bought the extrait; at some point I'll have to compare to the regular edp to see if there is a noticeable difference.

This is a beautiful scent. Delicious apple, vanilla, cinnamon and coconut. Almost like a coconut creme brulee with cinnamon apples on top. Not excessively sweet to me, but I tend to love gourmands. I am not getting the cedar note, but that's a good thing since I'm not really fond of cedar in my perfumes. I've almost finished my bottle and plan to repurchase.

melxx2133

The opening is a fresh very realistic apple, with a hint of cinnamon .The dry down is a beautiful soft Vanillla/coconut. I don't detect any musk. Its a very nice, delicate, youthful fragrance. The bottle is gorgeous as well. I have a full bottle and I would definitely repurchase .

Livgranger

Ok, so there really isn't any coconut in here. Fragrantica have made a mistake on the listing, it should be Cocoa. And it's actually a lovely chocolatey fragrance, vanilla, cocoa and fresh citrusy bergamot with light apple, not so much cinnamon, but it's a very well priced, well blended perfume. It's got the sillage and longevity that many niche houses lack. This is a true diamond of a perfume, for those wanting cocoa and vanilla balanced well with citrus and apple to keep it from being overly sweet and sickly. I'm impressed with Nobile 1942, so glad I found them!

OTA Mom

Yes, aplle. Bit more of a caramel apple than spiced. I get no cinnamon, just sweetness.

colorfulmess

The most heavenly apple scent EVER. I feel like I could wear this and lose weight because it satisfies the sensation of eating an apple flavored donut or dessert. Dries down to a super sweet vanilla and lasts for ever (I have a sample of the exceptional edition). I could buy this with no regrets.

LittleParfumista

A blind buy because.of the beautiful listed notes... And not a good blind buy I have to say...

I do enjoy the beautiful opening of crisp red apple and cimnamon! Oh I wish it would last... As it dries down it becomes this buttery vanilla on me. Nothing else. Just pure vanila. Like vanilla oil perfume you can buy at body shop or anywhere. Nothing special. Quite dissapointing. Will not repurchase. Not even sure will use this bottle I own.

Longevity is amazing, but gives a headache as too strong... Sillage is good too.

mustlovetravelanddogs

I want to love this creation from the house of Nobile 1942 especially considering that it contains some of my favourite notes like Apple, cinnamon, cedar, vanilla. It starts with a very promising fresh juicy red apple blust and I want it to remain this way through the entire time but apple fades away fast giving a way to cinnamon vanilla duo. I guess it's beautiful in a sense of easy grabber that is extremely versatile and any season appropriate. Will give it some more time to fully understand the beauty of this delightful fragrance

citadel

Wow! This caught me so off guard and I kept sniffing my arm all night. It is so beautiful, warm, but also crisp. It's December and it fits the mood perfectly--am not sure how well this will work once the weather becomes balmy and warm. But this exists as a perfectly feminine, noticeable, delicious scent for the colder seasons at least.

Edit: to add, this comes across as a more playful, cheerful version of Dior's Addict. They share the same enigmatic green vanilla note.

paneradfisk

This starts with a juicy red apple, I wouldn't call it crisp or fresh but mealy and baked. It soon mellows down to become this milky, sweet and fruity vanilla. The vanilla is not raw, grounded, spicy, dry or powdery but buttery, innocent, sweet, a bit tart and childlike and has an airy quality to it. I agree this is reminiscent of unspiced applesauce. The cinnamon is non existent. If I could reconstruct the notes, I would probably list red apple, honey, milk and vanilla or such. It's very similar to Lann-Ael, which I love and was the reason I found and bought this, except this has a more prominent apple throughout and has much better longevity and sillage. I highly recommend this to any gourmand lover, it's very cozy and sweet.

homesweethustle~

I've tried this one at least four times and I just can't get into it. Smells of fresh sliced red apples, unspiced applesauce, and a truckload of vanilla extract, drying down to coconut. No tang or spice to round things out; I barely even detect wood. I'm not getting cinnamon at all.

Clearly I'm in the minority here, so perhaps it's my chemistry.

ginger68

What a beauty!
Yes it’s gourmand but so elegant and joyful.
Cozy, bright, happy. Apple and vanilla.
It's the little sister of Lann-Ael, but much more refined and less buttery.I agree with Monzeitia.
If you are sad, the weather is grey and cold or if you need to smile and feel playful… try la Danza delle Libellule.
The name is wonderful and perfect for the scent.
Based on the beautiful English and Italian reviews I ordered it blindly.
I often wear unisex fragrances, sometimes they are fresh, aromatic.. sometimes green and woody… sometimes they are really light even if I’m fascinated by complex and not easy to wear ones.
I’m a complicated person and nowadays my personality isn’t easy to love… well la Danza delle Libellule touches my heart giving a sweet and airy breath to it. This fragrance helps magically my mood.
Great job, really really a beautiful scent for who needs to take a break from many bad moments and feel carefree.

Coucoucath

I do love the red apple with skin on, for a short while joined by some acidic note which then gets coated in sweet vanilla syrup. After about 8 hours the apple dissapears and I'm left with vanilla, much quieter one with musk. After wearing it for more than 14 hours I still feel the last notes. It is warm, sweet, charming, not cloying and gets creamy at the end. I would love to feel more cinnamon but it isn't as spicy on me. Nevertheless it's addictive.

TibbieMom

I don't get any cinnamon in this. It's gourmand apple/vanilla/coconut. After about 30 minutes, it smells very similar to Agonist Vanilla Marble, although VM is much richer. This is pleasant and pretty but not full bottle worthy for me

Strange_Alchemy

This is a review of the extrait.

Definitely not a run of the mill gourmand. On my skin, it smells like wax - like I've spent a whole night in a bedroom lit with beeswax candles. It must be the coconut and the cedar. I got absolutely no apple, which broke my heart. Not unpleasant, but not for me.

Bloodlust

Finally a fragrance that really stands out among a crowd! (A+ in terms of uniqueness, for sure!)

There are two parts to this scent, which is fairly linear in it's progression. The first part of the scent is a CRISP red apple. This is not "Be Delicious" Apple. This is a REAL RED APPLE! Crisp, very crisp.

The second part is a fine, strong, and almost bitter powdered cinnamon.

Spliced together with a hint of something creamy, caramelized, almost vanillic. This fragrance is nostalgia and comfort in a bottle - the exact middle of the crossroads between "Home scent candle", and "Gourmand dessert scent".

What a treat!
