I have no idea what everyone else is smelling, but this feels like cheap anise and peppermint toothpaste to me. I get no tobacco whatsoever. I do feel the oud, but the worst kind of oud. It's one of the very few fragrances I can't wear at all, I've tried it a couple of times, but I end up rubbing it off with water and soap. Thank God I only got a decant.

atlas__hugged

This is not the Tobacco Vanille (TV) clone everyone claims it is. I've even seen some influencers say it's an IMPROVEMENT over TV, which I find completely preposterous.

While TV is a very sweet fragrance, it is a well-balanced sweetness. Amber Oud Tabacco Edition (AOTE) is not as well balanced. Simultaneously it comes off as cloyingly, sticky sweet and overwhelmingly spicy. Notes of tobacco are virtually nonexistent. It smells more closely to Spicebomb than TV to my nose.

It's an okay fragrance, if you can divorce it from its context as a TV clone. As previously mentioned, it is not as masterfully blended. It's also very synthetic (and at that price point, that's to be expected.) Longevity and projection are very good, much better than TV if I'm honest.

Purke

The most disgusting perfume! Synthetic that stinks! A big no!

Om3r_perfumes

It’s a perfect dupe of Tom Ford tobacco Vanille. This is a very gourmand fragrance due to the strong cinnamon and vanilla notes white the tobacco note somewhat balances this out. It’s a very sweet and strong fragrance and is great for its value. I think it lasts around 10 hours with decent projection. It replicates the Tom Ford scent beautifully but may be just a bit more sweeter. I did notice that compared to the Tobacco Vanille the tobacco note in Al Harmian isn’t as strong, sometimes it also may be hard to smell. For its price point Al Harmain’s Amber Oud Tobacco edition may be one of the best fragrances. It’s cheap, great performance and a very good dupe of Tobacco Vanille.

A Douglas consultant recommended this to me when i was looking at TF Tobacco Vanille. This one might even be better. I don't remember how sweet TF is, but this is probably sweeter. As my Harry Styles obsession died down, i stopped using this as much. Fortunately, it's a unisex, so this perfume quickly became a hit in my family. My sister and my dad both frequently used it. I just gave the whole bottle to my dad and he even repurchased it after finishing.

I would say it's good for men who prefer sweeter perfumes (but as a woman, i can say that there are more attractive fragrances than this). I myself now lean towards much more feminine fragrances so wouldn't really recommend this for females.

#679 in my "Tour de Fragrance"

Hands down the best of the Al Haramain Amber Oud clone line. I was surprised this is a better Tobacco Vanille than Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. Definitely better than Alhambra's Tobacco Vanille clone "Tobacco Touch."

Baron von Shift

This one is mental.

Literally mental!

It starts with tobacco. Like you are in a tobacco factory and then honey and clover pop up.
But the tobacco is overwhealming and might punch you hard.
Not a room filler, but my wife, that was sitting few meters of me immediately reacted.

The drydown is awkward, funny and kinda nostalgic as it reminds me of my grandpa's cellar that had few barrels of wine. And the wall with tobacco leafs left to dry.

Absolutely not for blind buy. For some things you may risk, but for this one defintely not.

I do not how TF TV smells and cannot compare but this one is tough. You have to have a specific taste to wear it. I can see it more during cold season and formal wear. Not for the gym or beer gathering with friends.
Younger generation my not understand it, though this is not a bad frangrance at all.

After an hour or so, there is only the tobacoo leaf on top of the other stuff left. Which is not bad at all as it is so subtle.

Personally I do not like it that much, but cannot say I dislike or hate it either.

Regarding price point - well this one has great price tag and it really something different.
Different as per ones taste of course.

KappaOmbre

I have to be honest, this has been sitting on my drawer for 2 years., and I still find it hard to use it. Its too clove and too cheap smelling. Sample before buying because for that price its much better to just go the extra mile and get the real Tom Ford.

Christian Fragrances

Definitely Not My Favorite. If your a kid and don't really understand these complicated explanations the reviewers are writing, heres a easier explanation. For me personally, it is headache inducing and I took a shower to get it off me. If someone you know likes it or family you can wear it but for me, not so much. It reminds me of how like a cinammony beer of some sort. I can't put my tongue on it but I know its not for everyone. Much rather recconmend Spicebomb extreme or a dupe of it.

callurdad

Smells I get: honey.. gross, cloying, nauseating, honey with tobacco and ginger... not a good mix
Who is this for: men going though a mid-life crisis and people in their 30s who think of themselves as rockstars but are actually just a menace at the local pub

Very sad, bc I love the smell of fresh tobacco and vanilla and wood.. but this is not it. After a couple hours it gets less obnoxious so I'd give it a 4/10 overall considering I have yet to go through a mid-life crisis..

RepressHc1

Very nice sweet fragrance with an overpowering clove and honey. Cant really smell any other notes except a slight vanilla and tobacco. Smells just edible and so nice! Definitely not a exact TV dupe but a unqiue TV with a twist of christmas and honey

halalula1234

When i first bought this it refuses to last and disappears on me after 15 minutes and I was upset and disappointed and thought my bottle was off or a defect.... so I put it away for 6 months and bought it out again today and wow it performs so much better now after it aged a bit and some oxygen got into the bottle. For those of you who experienced performance issues, don't give up on this scent yet, spray a few sprays to let some air into the bottle and then store it in a cool dark place for a few months, then try again and you'll be surprised!

calyx93

I too will echo the last two reviews. There is far too much clove and honey - and far too little tobacco, vanilla, dried fruit, incense, tonka and musc. These two dominant accords begin to grow and drown out all other notes as the bottle matures on the shelf - as though a chemical reaction were still going on and hadn't been factored in prior to bottle maceration at the factory and distribution.

So, it's not Tobacco Vanille - so approach it that way. It's very cost effective with quality, sillage and longevity. Lightly applied, it can be very nice - just one or two small spritzes to the chest or ankles (under pants) will waft for an eternity. Layers and plays well with smoky vanillas like Cologne of the Missions or an impeccable vanilla musk like Tihota or even dry cocoa/cacao bases with cannabis touches. Elixir de Merveilles is also delicious when spritzed lightly on top.

bryant_35

Terrible fragrance for me personally, too heavy on the clove, dont pick up any of the tobacco or honey in this.
Not my cup of tea, some vanilla or tonka would definitely balance this out quite a bit.
6/10

Olfactoryvictory

Having smelt tobacco vanille, I cannot fathom how people are comparing the two. This is pretty much sickly honey and clove and nothing else. Can’t even detect tobacco and if there is even a faint hint of it here and there, it is nowhere near enough to balance out the honey and cloves syrup business going on. TV is much more darker and has a actually prominent tobacco in it which gives the vanilla a edgy refined characteristic that don’t nauseate you or smell like an old man’s confectionary

kalashnik

A RICH sophisticated fragrance. One of the best made to date.

Laurentiu20

Very warm, spicy on a tobaccoish and iso e super base.

In the opening it will be very spicy, mainly cloves and cinnamon with a "hay" note from tobacco, the tobacco note comes very nice pretty masculine from my pov.
After it settles down it'll be a nice vanilla scent with cloves and other spices (i get little bit of cinnamon, anise and little bit of licorice) with some fruity notes which doesn't last that long in the formula. The base is made of tobacco which what I said, comes little bit like hay or something a little close to vetiver, but not as dark. There are lots and lots of ISO E SUPER which gives it creaminess, making it more clean, also giving it long lasting power and projection.

GiannisP

Wow! This is very close to TV with great quality! To me this is 95+% TV with less sweetness and a little more carnation. Even the most fanatic fan of TV (that's me) will not detect the differences in the air. Great performance, beautiful presentation! If you are on a budget and you want TV just get this!

toosimilar

Well, i liked it, tbh
It's a sweeter version of Tobacco by Boclet
Quite long lasting
In the dry down may be tad annoying - becomes really sweet, but less spicy/smoky
I'd say the scent is mostly about dried plum, cinnamon and incense

Ohbenevolent1

for those who say this leans feminine..makes me realize some men like a more manly woman..one with construction worker hands & grows excessive amounts of facial hair..this scent is heavy tobacco with definitive woodsy notes & very apparent spice makes me think Hannibal from A-Team but if that's your feminine persuasion so be it..to me this screams MAN..its very similar to TFTV but louder projection..more pronounced spice..it was radiating so much from my beard in a crowded lounge that a woman doubled back & whispered whatever you have in your beard smells fabulous..is that manly proof enough or do I have to wear a flannel gripping an axe when wearing it??

Lotte_Liese

Comparing my experience of this fragrance with past reviews, there's an ocean between.
I did not experience a potent, long-lasting tobacco vanilla fragrance. No, quite surprisingly, what came in the bottle was a soft expression of chai spices with dried currants and a very present tobacco leaf note. Intimate sillage and modest projection. Longevity was no issue, as a skin scent on fabric, that is.
Even after giving the juice a few months to produce a miracle, I was still left unimpressed.
Beast mode? Hardly. That's all.

Ivanita_Skita

it is NOT a feminine scent and it is an acquired taste for sure. Very herbal-syrupy, smells like a weird cough medicine

Blossomlove

I live in too warm of a climate to pull this one off. It's hilarious that it's from a Middle Eastern house because as a fellow desert resident I don't know when I'm going to get a chance to wear this intense spice bomb.

It's SPICY! DO NOT OVERSPRAY! YOU WILL MAKE YOURSELF ILL!! I feel like I've fallen in a vat of tobacco leaves and someone dropped a ME spice bazar into the vat and now I'm swimming in it. It's not bad by any means but I do regret spraying myself 4-5x with this. Twice is all you need with this beast. It is a BEAST! Let me tell you. I honestly might have to go shower to avoid a headache. Why are some fragrances so weak and others complete kraken's? On top of that I sprayed Oud 07 and mistakes were made.

YES, mistakes WERE made. I'm not sure I can wear this after overspraying and making myself sick. I smelled this today and was triggered by last night's memories of drowning in this and I don't think I'll be able to wear this now. DM me if you want to buy or trade. USA resident.

Rating: 🤔
Do I like it: Yep
Who it is: a soft-hearted academic reading a book alongside overly honeyed tea and pipe tobacco
Smells I get: honey, tea, tobacco, vanilla
Meyer's Briggs type: INFJ, INTP

Have you ever by accident or curiosity put waaay too much honey in your black tea? Opulently sweet, decadently honeyed tea. What type of tea? Probably black, but it's mostly hot watered down honey.

I do get whiffs of dry tobacco leaves and dry tea leaves on the drydown, as well as cinnamon.
In the last stages, it does get to mostly dry tobacco and vanilla, honey be damned.

A nice, thought provoking sweet. Calms me down quite a bit. Feels like I should be reading while wearing it.
Feels serene.

Moe4bball

To my nose this is very linear and sweet. At first I liked it because it’s different for my collection, however it was too sweet for me. I didn’t get any woody notes. My nose fixated on one note. I wouldn’t say this is a safe blind buy. It’s not bad by any means but I gave it away.

Karolisha

Contrary to the reviews I find it very feminine, sweet warm and elegant fragrance. I smell vanilla and cinnamon. I don’t think it’s a good blind buy because of its sweet notes. Overall very unique oriental fragrance

BigBroNaki

There is definitely a prominent clove note at the beginning but in the air it's not as strong. If you smell it up close it certainly is overpowering but once it's diffused in the air you can smell the tobacco and dried fruits some more. It's a tad bit too spicy for my liking to give it a full 5 star rating, but it's still a very solid fall/winter scent. For the price you get a very good clone with good packaging.

Alpal420Terps

I dont really get the cloves like other people do but I've been wearing al rehab superman lately which is a clove bomb so maybe that's why I don't notice, on the opening I get a nice warm amber and dry vanilla with very little tobacco, the tobacco slowly comes out as it drys down but is quite subtle and also a tint bit sweet almost reminds me of a Cuban cigar, it's extremely strong and I Find it can be a bit harsh and overpowering it's not my favourite amber scent as I find it a bit to heavy on the vanilla and a bit to basic for my tastes I only really get 4 maybe 5 of the listed notes and only if I really study the perfume, Glad I only got a sample and not a full bottle although it isn't very expensive anyway but still I wouldn't blind buy this one.

W4termelon

Tea. The first note that has struck into my nose was...tea.
Don't get me wrong - I'm in absolute love with tea fragrances, it's just that I was expecting something like a tobacco-vanillish scent, and I was, to say the least, surprised.
After a few hours, upon settling into the skin, scent turned into a masala tea, with a slight note of honey and church.
I absolutely love it and it became my most beloved scent after the first try, but I was, once again, very damn surprised.

*loves_shoes*

Initially it’s a bit medicinal, but settles into a really fruity tobacco - think dates and warm dried fruit, covered in honey - aromatic and warmly sweet.
Lots of vanilla in the background.
Leans a bit more masculine than TV on my skin, maybe because of the slight medicinal aromatic feel.
Worth it for the price for an easy reach in the winter.

jdvice

I could see this being a winter signature scent. I find it masculine and very pleasing.

mfadhil

This perfume is NOT blind buy safe. But again, if you love woody warm fragrance this may be for you. In my experience, the opening is very harsh even for my Middle Eastern preferences. But the performance and the projection make up for it, so in my dictionary, it's a good deal

davidross

Cloves in this are almost obnoxiously strong. It’s been a while since I’ve smelled the TF TV but I don’t remember it being this heavy on cloves. Smelled side by side the opening is 1:1. But I just can’t remember the dry down being this spicy with cloves. Nevertheless this pulls compliments and I will continue to wear it 100%. Not safe blind but but does smell great nevertheless

MrMrBrian

I could be labeled a niche snob & looking at the fragrances I own I’m most def a Tom Ford Fanboy!..My 1st niche frag purchase ended up being several purchases of the glass 12ml roller balls of Tobacco Vanille for a period of 2 years back in Oh…Who knows 07and 08 maybe?? And those formulations or batches have been gone for a long time now..I had ended up doing the same thing with Tuscan Leather. Back then they were both so much more rich & opulent than those two are now…And instead of cry about it I will be more than happy let an Al Haramain fragrance into my cabinet if it’s “BETTER!” & if it’s “CHEAPER!” Duh..Normally I am not for clones & to me clones are usually missing something somewhere somehow…But if it’s better which to me this is just as good or superior with much better projection on me with better tweets according to my tastes..I will absolutely NOT continue to pay my hard earned $ to a house allowing for something being made cheaper…This fragrance cost a fraction and “Both”The “juice” & the “atomizer” is better than what the original now has become… Trust me… There are others that know what I’m saying to be facts!

eg21_

to me the first note is honey. but is a good fragrance.
projection is very good.
8.5/10

LordMaximus

Cloves are way too strong in the opening, it's almost nauseating. Doesn't have the wet tobacco smell like TV, it's more ginger/clove. Dry down gets to about 90% close to the original, also smells much better in the air than on skin. Solid clone, good longevity.

Eve_evolution

Sweet vanilla tobacco scent, sweeter and less complicated than Tim Fords Tobacco Vanilla. Long lasting and high quality bottle and box, affordable price point. Similar to Franck Bocklet’s Tobacco but less complex and longer lasting.
Sweter then Charuto. Overall great value scent but only for very sweet scent lovers. A like for me.

seldomseen

While I've never smelled or owned TFTV. I cannot speak about Tobacco Edition's (TE) similarity to TFTV. However, I can say that TE is more hype than reality for me. Primarily, because the "tobacco" notes are way to subdued and are "indistinguishable" due to TE being extremely clove forward. TE's heavy doses of various other spices makes TE have a confused style of smell that is reminiscent to one of Yankee Candles fall/winter candles. TE should have been aptly named "Spice Bomb - Extrait Intense Extreme Elixir" 🤣🥳

However, if TE was formulated to have a more authentic wet or dry tobacco smell along with reduced doses and a smoother formulation of random spices. TE would be a certified, licensed, registered banger. Nonetheless, TE has a relatively high-quality smell that rivals many designer fragrances in a similar scent space.

Performance and projection is outstanding for the average discounted price-point TE can be purchased for. TE is also better suited to older men and potentially masculine natured females. TE is an easy to wear fall/winter fragrance if you enjoy how it smells. 😛

Overall: 6.5/10

irisesca

Um I really liked the Amber Oud Gold Edition and after reading all the positive comments decided to blind buy these, unfortunally they smell terrible and very cheap on me, the cloves are overwhelming. Good longevity tho

Hkp27

Cloves, cloves, cloves. Don't blind buy. Did I mention cloves?

ShamsAlSahara

Not sure if it is my particular batch or what this perfume doesn’t project and doesn’t last any good. I’ve seen comments, reviews and videos and I’ve read amazingly about it but no. In my case this perfume is a flop, certainly smells like Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford but that’s all.

TheNose618

(653 ppl) voted this reminded them of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille?????

Sorry but those votes must have come from designer fragrance users who frequent Macy's and Nordstrom in search of a trendy fragrance to buy. Any time a fragrance note breakdown has tobacco and vanilla in it (here we go again) with the Tom Ford comparison.

NO NO NO...I am in the minority here with the (99 ppl) who voted thumbs down to that comparison.

I get it ~ We all experience fragrances in a different way but comparing TFTV to AL Harramain Tobacco Edition is just wrong.

Some people have to be told what they're smelling (by 1st looking at the note breakdown) in order to envision what the olfactory experience is supposed to be.

I kept smelling something fruity in the background but couldn't figure out exactly what fruit until I saw in the note breakdown that it indeed does have DRIED FRUITS as a base note. Ahhh

I sprayed this on my wrist last night (8pm) just to smell it because I've only worn it once in the last year. Anyway, I love it because it is soooo very unique in that it smells like a freshly rolled cigar with a constant base note of what can best be described as ROOT BEER.

Absolutely fantastic and unique. I'm not a fan of root beer the drink but in fragrance form it is done to perfection (by accident) but masterfully so...

There were only (3 reviewers) who mentioned ROOT BEER so again, I'm in the minority here but go back and smell it now that your EYES have read the words ROOT BEER and I'm sure your olfactory senses will pick up on it.

Its now (8:50am) and after 12+hrs I can still clearly smell cinnamin, clove, vanilla and ROOT BEER but the tobacco note has faded. LOVE IT

BTW..I would buy this over and over before I shell out $250-350 for TFTV because I think AL Harramain is a much better bang for your buck.

Marketing doesn't fool me. You put this ROOT BEER juice in an Amouage bottle and it would sell for $350.

I agree with the overall (4.32 out of 5) voting. You are getting niche quality juice for under $50 USD and the "wooden" coffret box presentation is TOP NOTCH and on par with Xerjoff...ENJOY!!!

MSKMAN

It’s difficult to pinpoint what I like best about Amber Oud Tobacco Edition; I will say it’s a tremendous fragrance that gives you warmth and comfort. Aside from this fragrance's great value, it stands on its own and doesn’t require TF tobacco vanille comparisons (especially against current formulations). The fragrance starts with a nice dose of ginger followed by cinnamon. The fragrance dries down to a lovely pipe tobacco, which keeps the fans returning to this fragrance. I have an older batch of this. Before it was renamed Tobacco Editon, it was phenomenal. Performance is good at 8-9 hours and excellent in winter.

Mtotheelly

Wow... This is stunning. I haven't smelled Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, but if it smells like this I can see why it's loved so much. I bought this as a Christmas gift and upon opening and spraying it, this person's girlfriend yelled out... You just got him laid. It was an instant compliment getter from everyone in the room.

We all agreed that it smelled like chai tea. After a few minutes the tobacco begins to really shine and the clove and vanilla are so balanced in this that it's creamy, soft and delectable. There's no harshness about this. It's smooth and very well blended.

I would not where this as a woman personally. This is not for me, but I think on the right man, this would be incredibly seductive. There's something comforting about it. I would say if you love gourmand scents and spice, this is a safe blind buy. I'm glad I bought it.

Noir

The better Tobacco Vanille IMO. Comes in at a much better price and performs as well, if not better than TV. I don't wear this often as it is better suited for colder evenings or special occasions, especially Christmas. About 95% accurate, with the opening being a blast of cloves. I appreciate the artistry behind the creation of TV, but this is a no-brainer.

BokeeLee

First of all I must say that i hate clones etc... But this one... Oh Man... Its great !!! Tobacco Vanille is dead with new batches, so u can easy pick up this one an you will be more than happy. 90% Tom Ford, way better performances and prize is more than good. Just buy it.

Jesper74

My bottle only smells of honey and a touch of vanilla, but only just a tinny drizzle of vanilla.
Im verry dissapointed.

smwl

One of my favourite scents. The opening is definitely medicinal (I believe this is the clove, as mentioned in other reviews) but it does subside. I can't pinpoint the notes particularly well, but to me this smells as though it drips from you in thick, heavy globs, not always noticeable until it smacks you with another wave. The fruits are dark, thick and syrupy, oozing with warming spices and accompanied by sweet, damp tobacco. A scent best suited for autumn or winter evenings, but I love it too much to leave for such occasions.

StevieBoy

Recommendation: If you WANT this fragrance to smell like a '100% clone' of Tobacco Vanille.....

The following is a major "revelation" I recently made after wearing two bottles of AOTE over the past two-plus years. And I believe it applies to many of the criticisms made here of this fragrance being either too strong (especially at the open), spice-heavy, differently balanced-, or not a "near-perfect clone" relative to Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille: The sprayer/ atomizer on AOTE is not the best, to say the least. More specifically, it doesn't come out in a fine cloud of aerated mist like the best atomizers do, and as such one might be convinced that the easiest and most practical way to spray it on is relatively close and directly in one "spot/area" on your skin....as I did....for years. Until recently, when I abruptly decided to spray it on as I do with my better atomizers--a fair distance away, and in a sweeping motion across my skin--while similarly keeping in mind that "less is Best" with this fragrance. (Admittedly, it seems a bit messy and somewhat inefficient sprayed on this way). BUT it's definitely "worth it", because when you do, AOTE becomes noticeably less strong at the open, not spice heavy, more smooth and more balanced..... ultimately smelling EXACTLY like Tobacco Vanille!! (No exaggeration.)

Ambermariee

Can someone tell me if this is leaning more feminine or masculine?

Alexandra2023

This is amazing.. for my nose, this is very very similar with Tabaco Vanille from Tom Ford.

In the first few minutes there is something a little bit intense and let's say a bit synthetic but after like 2 minutes this is 1/1 Tobacco Vanille by TF, the only difference with this one is that it is more intense compared to TF. Very good projection and is long-lasting, I don't see the point in buying TF when you can get this much cheaper and with better performance. I've seen countless videos of perfumers and influencers that say this one is the best clone fragrance and I agree I have tried many in the past and all fail in the middle or dry-down but this one excluding the very fast opening phase nails the original DNA. Don't waste your money on TF buy this one instead.

Richarddanny83

This good. Open with strong cinnamon. Prominent tobacco, vanilla, cacao. Cacao not chocolate. Cacao add to earthiness and realism to tobacco. This woulda been perfect without cinnamon.

OwlFactory

Einhorn is Finkle. Finkle is Einhorn. That's how I feel about Amber Oud Tobacco Edition and Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille.

As close to a 1:1 clone you're ever going to get.

I'm not a clone whore. I don't have dozens of dupe fragrances. I prefer to buy the original because I respect the originality and creativity of doing something first.

But I refuse to overpay for things. If a clone is 99% similar at 1/10th of the cost, it's foolish to pay full price. (Who actually buys Creed Aventus?!)

You might have your reasons for choosing to pay $425 for the real stuff, but you'll never convince me you're right in doing so.

10/10 blind buy.
10/10 scent.

One of the happiest and most delightful fragrances purchases I've made.

Zayed02584

I am having the 9/2023 batch, initially it didn’t even lasts for 2 hour on skin, after that I have kept that in dark shelf after spraying for 6/7 puffs for 15 days, today I sprayed on my arm & can smell it after 5 hours, so new batches might need to be in your shelf for couple of days. Anyway it’s a good fragrance.

Tripokaridos

I bought it because i didnt want to use a lot of my TV, and nope it was a different . I dont get those that say its close really .

Sketch257

This is often compared to Tobacco Vanille. While I am a fan of TV, I'm not that much of a fan of this. If the spice opening was significantly more subdued I would associate them both, but it's so strong that it feels like I'm wearing something else. I have a hard time believing this is the best dupe.

Qx.susie

TLDR: Closest dupe, greater projection and excellent performance in exchange for less vanilla, more amplified spices on opening, and harsher blend. May smell like a ginger cookie.

So I had a different experience with this one, but very similar to glamfindz on YouTube.

When I first got it, harsh opening yes, very spicy yes, .... you know the story.

But immediately, it settled down into this ginger sugar cookie scent. It smelled glorious to me. Like a cross between a gingersnap and snickerdoodle cookie. I was expecting a tobacco vanille clone but I was even more pleasantly surprised to have this. I wore it every night for weeks as a cozy bed time scent.

Then one day, about 3 weeks later, I sprayed it before bed. I smelled the harsh opening and waited for the cookie dry down.
I waited
And waited
And waited

While I was waiting, I smelled an overwhelming scent of kitchen spices.... harsh anise, clove, black pepper.

I was horrified to find out that it was me. I retested the scent and to my utter dismay, realized that it had changed.

This was about 2 years ago when I purchased my first bottle. Since then, I have gone through three bottles and I have to say, after about half an hour on the skin, it's the closest you'll get to tobacco vanille.

The only difference is that tobacco vanille is smoother, and with much more vanilla.

This one, is not as smooth, spice heavy, and less vanilla. You really need to like clove, ginger, anise etc to appreciate this take. The spices are pleasant, but I also happen to like spices so.. like I said though, after half an hour, the spices almost completely dissipate, and you have essentially TF's tobacco vanille.

It's a masculine scent. The only one I can wear, and even still, I typically mix this with a vanilla to make it more wearable. The sillage and projection are great and I get compliments often, but again, I reaaally overdo it with the vanilla when I wear this.

I've loved my time with this scent, I still have maybe a third of a little 50ml left, but I think it's time for me to move on to different profiles. I've enjoyed it while I've had it, definitely great affordable gem to get your nose on.

CHEERS!

hakimhamza87

Not a good clone of TV. This one is not even spicier as some say. It's more honey like and much more flat. Less if any dried fruits. No depth at the base. Think honey and little tobacco. There's many clones of this that are better. I get no chocklatyness from this either. Don't buy if you're looking for a clone. Buy if you like honey and tobacco.

Zany-Geek

I sprayed two sprays of Tobacco Vanille on my left wrist and two sprays of Amber Oud Tobacco Edition on my right wrist and left them to dry down for 30 mins. To my nose, the cured tobacco smell is the same for both. The TV has a sweeter vanilla and the cloves/spices are more prominent in the Amber Oud Tobacco Edition. I'd say TV is a little more subtle and the Amber Oud Tobacco Edition is a bit more in your face spicy. I paid £190 for 50ml of TV and £31 for 60ml of Amber Oud Tobacco Edition. They are very close to my nose.

UPDATE: I ended up selling my bottle of Amber Oud Tobacco Edition because it started to give me an allergic reaction (rash) on repeated back to back wears, after about 4 days. The Tom Ford orignal doesnt give me any allergic reactions no matter how much I wear it. I guess the accurate smell doesnt mean much if you are allergic.

Woolly Israelita

First impression;
First spray it's giving root beer
As it dries I can smell tobacco and vanilla
When it dries completely I get chocolate , vanilla , & tobacco.
It has potential, I'll come back to it after it macerates.

Charmedbymeghan

It is a spicy tobacco with vanilla so therefore it does "remind me" of all the other tobacco vanillas that are available in the world. But this has to be the worst one I've tried. It get mostly spices (which I kind of expected) but something about the way it is done here smells cloying and cheap. And I am down with a good cheapie! This right here - NOT a good cheapie...

I am so curious now to try Tobacco Touch, another cheapie & dupe for TF's Tobacco Vanille. I have smelled and tested TF's and while I think it is nice and done fairly well - it also didn't blow me away. So, that's why I am looking elsewhere for similar compositions...

I recently picked up Frank Boclet's Tobacco and it is a lovely spiced tobacco/vanilla. Not sure dense or loud, but can still be smelled & with a decent projection. Lovely "easy reach", as far as this composition goes... can think of it as "Tobacco Vanille light".

I also just picked up the new Kayali Tobacco Oud, which is another spiced tobacco/vanilla. The oud is not really that noticeable. Overall the fragrance is smooth, and the oud plays nice with the rest of the notes. I enjoy it more than TF's TV and it may be my favorite among what I've tried as well. Unisex for sure and the only one worth owning out of the 4 in the Oudgasm collection.

... And now back to this fragrance. Al Haramain... A sad sad mess of a fragrance.
It is a cinnamony-spicy tobacco mess. It just smells thrown together. I wish I had known to stay away from it, but my curiosity had gotten the best of me and I saw some great reviews on it. Have no idea why? The only thing good about it was the price and that's not enough for me to love a fragrance and want to wear it.
My advice? Get a sample first or just skip altogether. There's other Middle Eastern tobacco cheapies and I have to think they must be better than this one.

abdulio

Strong overwhelming clove opening but it dries down into a yummy tobacco and vanilla as you’d expect by its inspiration. I prefer it to TF Tobacco Vanille.

Urkelpurple

Absolutely fantastic, price for quality. Opens strong, but dries down well and still somewhat strong. Great tobacco sent. Great fragrance at under $50

1nexorable

I almost was disappointed when I sprayed it on my wrist. The cloves are really strong in the opening but boy does it become better after some time. Perfect, this is the one. If you can get past the opening then there's no reason to not buy it if you love TV. Just get it

Fragrance Guy

This fragrance is basically a vanilla bomb. I hardly detest anything else, which is so misleading. SMH

flashpapas

Chef kiss 💋
Tobacco Vanille on steroids 💥💫💣💦
Stop wasting time and just get this!!!

I love this stuff!!!

xiaobreynold

Try forget about the brand and the price tag, and simply test this fragrance. It is no-doubt top notch niche tobacco. On paper it also brings up significant green tea-like tobacco leaf scent. So beautiful.

Fragranooga

Performs SIGNIFICANTLY better than TV and I personally like the scent profile better too.

sea2sky

Just got a bottle, and I really like it. It is not as sharp as Red Tobacco. Instead of a cherry note that RT has this one is all about dried fruits and clove note. The more it dries the more tobacco becomes pronounced. Great for colder days.

suzanne_ronald

Fantasy SWEET & SPICY TOBACCO with Vanilla, Cloves, Cinnamon & Dried Fruits. I have the Amber Oud, Amber Oud Gold & Amber Oud Tobacco Ed. Sometimes the boxes are mixed up, but this one should say 'TOBACCO EDITION' in black lettering on the front of the bottle. In the first minute or two I can feel the tobacco & vanilla along with something fresh & near quince. As the spray dries and the sillage opens up it leaves an oily sheen on my skin and I get a lovely swirl of cinnamon & tobacco leaf with pepper & ginger supporting facets of the tobacco leaf, and vanilla continues to swell through. As it transitions to the heart it sheds most but not all of what was near quince and I get spicy cloves while the dried fruity facets of tobacco start to swell through, supported by incense & tonka. Once in awhile I catch a glimpse of anise in the spicy notes. Tobacco & dried fruits are the mainstay of the base, and there are some sweet woody notes that emerge well into the drydown. This is a dupe of Tobacco Vanille Tom Ford with good approximation & excellent performance. Overall I get fantasy vanilla & tobacco scent that exaggerates many of the more beautiful aspects of both, and sets the high water mark (along with Tobacco Vanille Tom Ford) for a sweet & spicy tobacco scent imho.

Contrast to Tobacco Vanille Tom Ford:
This is a dupe with good approximation, but it isn't an exact clone. The cinnamon facets are slightly less forward & fruity facets are slightly more forward in Tobacco Vanille Tom Ford. Both have excellent performance.

Contrast to Nuit à Salzbourg/Vanille Tabac La Maison de la Vanille:
These are different, but there are striking similarities with vanilla & tobacco. The fruity facets are less forward while the woody facets are more forward in Nuit à Salzbourg. Several hours into the drydown Nuit à Salzbourg leaves a faint funk of oud note, unlike Amber Oud Tobacco Ed.. Both have excellent performance.

Overall: affordable, gorgeous sweet & spicy fantasy vanilla-tobacco scent with excellent performance, and one of my favourite tobacco scents. It's a love for me. 10/10. Enjoy!

Tre de Fill

I like! Quality fragrance, quality packaging, strong projection and longevity, good price. An excellent alternative to
Tom Ford TV, but not quite the same. Overall rating 9/10

Ines65

Oh my ! This is an epic fail on my skin (and my husband's) it smells like a Spiced (Fall edition) Yankee Candle (!!) Passing it along....

RoPro

Pleasant chocolate, cinnamon, tobacco, vanilla smell that radiates a great distance.
Smells very smoothly blended and soothing.
Someone smelled this on me from about 7ft away in a hot workplace and asked if I wore Spicebomb as it smells very similar.

Scent: 8.25/10
Projection: 10/10
Longevity: 9/10

anaro

This is way more wearable than TF TV; this is way more of a younger scent, like spice bomb extreme. The beginning is harsh for the first 10 minutes but mellows to a great scent. If you love TF TV, you would love this; though it isn't a 1 to 1 clone, it is very well-made and has a tremendous spicy tobacco vanilla scent. It lasts around 10-12 hours and projects very well for 6 hours; I believe this is better than the Tobacco Touch but isn’t a better clone; it’s way more wearable.
I rate it an 8.5/10

MarieLlwyd

Purchased this on the basis it’d be similar to Tobacco Vanille (which I consider should be renamed Tobacco Divine). My TF decant is running low and I don’t want to splurge a £150+ on a full bottle etc.,

I have to agree with and compliment Vlad for his post below. He basically says it all. This is pretty much Tobacco Vanille with some individual nuances. Incredibly close likeness at a fraction of the price! I’m not usually attracted to dupes; believing the original will always be the best and actually deserves your loyalty. However, this case is an exception. The quality is superb - down to the presentation box it arrives in. Bravo!!

EvenstarFaerie

This stuff is nuclear and absolutely scrumptious. It is an incredible dupe for Tobacco Vanille. It's spicy and warm in the opening, then dries down into a yummy spicy vanilla. I find that with TV, it dries down into just vanilla - the warmth and spice disappears - but the spiciness sticks with this one.

Vlad Gorneanu

Purchased this one for obvious reasons, Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille costs an arm and a leg for 50ml ( I can get almost 4 bottles of this for the price of one TV). It is so close to TF TV that it's not even funny. Yes, there are a few nuances but these go back and forth between this and TV and you like them better by alternation. Sometimes TV is more appealing due to it's vanilla, sometimes this is more appealing because of it's spiciness. So I would not say TV is better , it's just slightly differently nuanced. Now, we must also talk about the 3rd contender for this DNA , Franck Boclet Tobacco which is also very similar to these but has it's distinctive plum that sets it apart. Dare I say FB Tobacco has the best blend and softness in the trio? I think it does. Going back to our subject, my nose cannot find any flaws to the scent, the performance is staggering ( 8-10h in any condition, I didn't manage to scrub it off after a shower at the end of the wearing day), the sillage is big. If you like TF TV you will like this, if you like this you will like Frank Boclet and so on. They are brothers moving forward the same DNA and all successful at it.

ZeeK

Do not underestimate this one. When i first sprayed it out of the box. I didnt find any longevity or silage at all. Even after 7-8 sprays. And whatever whiffs i got was just harsh clove oil vibes (exactly one used for tooth pain). Let it macerate for over 2 weeks and whoof... Now its the beast mode 2 sprays on chest 1 at the back of neck and it lasted like over 20+ hours with great silage others can notice very well. Well tobacco is very evident with vanila in background. Its really hot now a days in Dubai. So have to keep it for cooler days.

HalawaBaklawa

I've worn both TF TV and this and must say that they are really close. I could wear this over the TF with no hesitation. TF has the vanille that is more prominent and this one got the cinnamon and dried fruits more prominent. This is what I can pick up. But overall 95% the same. WIthout comparision 100% In the air 100%

A really good scent with heavy sillage and excellent longevity.

kanaerion47

I wore both to compare them, and later I purposely made myself nose-blind to this one so that I could smell TV to see what it has that this one doesn't, and all I could smell in TV was a smooth, creamy vanilla note. So imo it smells 90% the same as Tobacco Vanille, and the 10% is a more prominent vanilla note in TV. Amber Oud Tobacco Edition lacks a smooth creaminess that TF has and smells a bit harsher overall (harsh in a deliberate, masculine way, not in a "low quality" sense). So it's a slightly less aromatic, less creamy and more masculine version of TV but the foundation is the same.
But that's from smelling them up close for a long time, generally speaking I don't think anyone outside will notice that difference, the vibe is exactly the same. Great longevity and sillage too. So I'd say this is a legitimate clone of Tobacco Vanille, and with that price difference it's a bargain.

opoponax

I was so excited to get this after hearing so much positive feedback which definitely didn't disappoint.

Straight from the bottle, I get a sweet heavy dose of plum and dried fruit which is not so obvious when sprayed on.

Upon first few minutes after spraying.......I get the 'medicinal' quality that some people have described - It is very heavy on cloves, cinnamon, and star anise. Takes a little while for this to relax but if you are patient, the opening and dry down are to die for. The sweetness of the tobacco mixed with spices adds a warm element while the vanilla and tonka have a very cozy almost powder-like feel.

With amazing performance and sillage, Amber Oud Tobacco Edition has very quickly climbed into my top shelf of favorites. Extremely happy with the quality and looking forward to exploring Al Haramain futher.

MarkoPeeko

Bought this 18 months ago. Threatened to use it last winter. Didn’t for some reason. Opened it today.

Straight off the bat - wow.

I’ve owned a sample of TFTV before. It’s a classy wear. For $450AUD for a 50ml bottle, I can’t justify the price tag. I know, I know - if you want the best, you’ve gotta pay for it. Fair enough.

This stuff slaps just as good. The tobacco, vanilla, fruits and anise are fantastically blended.

There’s a medicinal smell that pushes hard for the first couple of hours. As I’m still training my nose, I went and smelled our spice cupboard to confirm it’s the cloves.

If you’ve ever used clove oil for toothache, you’ll know the medicinal smell I’m referring to. I don’t mind it. It can be potent to some. It’s really prominent and I don’t recall it being this strong in TFTV.

On top of this, the cinnamon and tonka add some further sweetness and warmth.

And it bangs hard for hours. Literally hours. I’ve had this on 10 hours and I’m still getting wafts off the 3 sprays I applied this morning.

Overall, this is top drawer juice. Not as good as TV, but it’s a solid inspired by/clone.

Top marks, Al Haramain.

kaurg

First impressions. A freshly opened pack of tobacco, mouth-wateringly moist and sticky with some honeyed sweetness, maybe just a hint of cherry there. The last time I smelled something like this was when I sticked my nose into a freshly opened pack of Golden Virginia rolling tobacco, but I also get associations from my pipe smoking youth, since it's deeper and sweeter than your regular rolling tobacco. It's very nice, but I'm afraid it gets me smoking again :D

HondaMan

First got it 2 years ago, performed quite badly, left it in a cool cupboard, visited it yesterday. Wow, this now smells amazing, very similar to TF. Lasts over a day. Must have for tobacco lovers. Have other knock offs that smell similar to TF TV, but this is quality.

Blazntrax

I'm a big fan of TF Tobacco Vanille, and I wanted to try this cuz I heard they're pretty close. This scent just didn't work for me. There's too much Tobacco in this, and it's like a flat dry Tobacco. Too much clove in it as well. It gets better as it dries down, but I think more vanilla would have really smoothed it out.

Tobacco Vanille is full of life right off the top with the vanilla and the spices. This fragrance didn't give me that feeling. I also feel like the heavy Tobacco makes this too masculine for women to wear. I see this as a nighttime only type of scent. It has great performance in longevity and projection. I'm going to try Tobacco Touch next, and I hope it works better for me.

ExclusiveApe

This is a very good fragrance, especially for the price. It is very close to TFTV with a vanilla pipe tobacco scent with a touch of cinnamon and bit of incense. It reminds me of the mall in the 80's and 90's, walking past a shop called the Tinder Box. They sold pipes, cigars and tobacco...a very pleasant and nostalgic scent.

After wearing this a few times though, I got tired of the tobacco note and sweetness. It just seemed a little flat, so on a whim, I layered this with Spicebomb Extreme and wow...it's perfect. The spices in Spicebomb Extreme, particularly the cumin, really warm this up and gives it a bit of a spark, enhancing the soft, flat vanilla into something much livelier. I won't layer this every single time I wear it, but probably more often than not.

Noxstorm

Everyone , This is NOT Tom Ford Tobacco vanille Clone , yes it falls in the same scent profile but it is taking it to another dimension , Imagine TFTV is totally amplified in dried fruits and tonka and less spicy
Very unique scent not for everyone one's taste and not a safe blind buy
I was in Al Haramain store today and the guys there was shocked when they knew that Dua cloned this as one of their Dua Orginal Creations and called it Jamaican Sweet Tabacum and released it a few months ago while this one was created 3 years before , they just added a bit of coconut and rum on it which gave it an amazing twist.

Anyway , This is a punisher , amazing fragrance for those who are into unique scents .

vbs221

Oh man. This went from zero to hero for me. When I first got this, I liked it, but quickly got really tired of the tobacco note. It smelled like wet tobacco leaves, unlike the dry tobacco in Tobacco Vanille and certainly unlike L’Occitane Eau Des Baux. I put it to the side and decided to sell it.

Now a year later, I tried it again. Wow, wow this is so good. I don’t know if my nose appreciated it more after briefly losing my smell to Covid, but this is really good. It’s actually better than Tom Ford. You can super clearly smell the dried fruits, which TV doesn’t have. I no longer only smell that wet tobacco—now it’s drier tobacco with dried fruits, vanilla, cloves, and cinnamon. It is super addicting.

For the whole past year, I used to think L’Occitane is the better fragrance compared to this. I’m starting to tilt towards this now. This went from meh to great so quickly for me. I still think the L’Occitane is exceptional and is the more mass appealing one, but this is great stuff!

Coriemulvey

It’s a curry with too much ground clove in it.

aroutis

I wanted this for a while , tried to buy it and failed cause the shops would not deliver but finally got it from notino.
It is so good ! Vanilla blended with spices , tobacco pronounced blended with clove that does not bother me but also cinnamon ( not too much but enough to detect it ) and it smells divine
Great presentation, the price a total steal.
Al Haramain once more does not disappoint.

RECEP TULUMCU

Amber Oud Tobacco Edition by Al Haramain is indeed similar to Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille fragrance. The opening of both fragrances has a rich and spicy tobacco note that dominates, along with a warm and sweet vanilla note. However, there are some notable differences between the two scents.

if you are a fan of tobacco and vanilla fragrances, you will definitely appreciate Amber Oud Tobacco Edition by Al Haramain. It's a high-quality fragrance that offers a unique twist on the classic tobacco and vanilla combination, making it a worthy addition to any fragrance collection.

Hastro

I took this perfume following the similarity given in the opinions compared to Tobacco Vanille, which I love but find very (too) sweet.

So we have a sublime perfume, which smells of tobacco and strangely I also smell notes of black tea with cardamom. (when you open a packet of Earl Grey whose dried leaves leave a captivating smell).

the perfume smells very good and very strong for a long time! I must admit that vanilla tobacco next to it seems to be cheap!
My wife also wears it and loves it (she tells me it reminds her of the Drambuie Whisky 🥃😋)

And I noticed that when she puts it on, the scent is not overpowering or too strong! (yet she sprays herself with 5 to 7 sprays...)
I therefore think that the perfume does not project as strongly as one thinks.
Only when you wear it, the tobacco note is so strong that you feel like it could suffocate other people. But it’s note that way…

I've already taken 2 backups because I'm pretty sure my wife drinks it 😂😍 :-)

(Just a perfect balance of what TF tobacco Vanille should be )

simplex12

Definitely a clove bomb in the opening, which honestly isn't that great, but dries down to a nice balance of tobacco and vanilla.

Pgdipoto

Same thing as Tobacco Vanille. Beautiful. Took me some time to love. Warm, dusty, cozy. Wonderfully unisex. Slightly dirty smelling (being a tobacco fragrance) but in an alluring and comforting way. Could imagine this being a very trendy scent for women right now. The vanilla and tobacco and warm spices come together magically. I love the anise in here. This warm and powdery fragrance is just gorgeous. If it seems weird to you at first, just wait. Keep giving it a chance, I promise.

Andrew.R

Smells like cloves and flat root beer. Not for me.

Pranav

Due to clove, smells like medicinal balm initially. Note that clove oil has medicinal benefits and used is used medicinal ointments and balms. Not so special or worth the hype. Dry down is when it smells good. One must wait. It has tobacco and vanilla both. Longevity is good, not the best.

EJJ

This fragrance smells delicious. The ginger and the aromatic clove take over and it smells like a ginger bread cookie. I'm not a fan of gourmands and of smelling like food, so this won't get the a lot of use out of me but I like it. The only thing I don't like, there is a dank aquatic note right out of the bottle and leaves immediately once sprayed. If you put your nose to the bottle you will smell it.

Aemond Targaryen

This stuff is really high quality. I do have a couple things to warn you about however. The opening is just rough there is no other way to describe it. They should have cut out the cloves and star anise. also the tobacco leaf needs to be cut. A little more vanilla would really smooth it out. Don't spray more than 2 times or you will suffocate. Just put some on rough it out and enjoy the dry down.

SpiderMarc

It’s strong and not for the faint hearted…
If you don’t really like the smell of tobacco or cigars then don’t.
I’m a smoker and even I find this is on a whole other level.

Aj107

It smells like cloves and mainly cloves! Also it will last more than 48 hours on even your skin! I sprayed once and after two day I took a shower and still I could smell it.

PrincipeFilip

This fragrance is unwearable for the first 30-45 minutes in terms that almost gives you a headache. Opens with strong pepper tobacco and dreadfull ginger note which is prominent till the drydown. In drydown smells very very close to TF-Tobacco Vanille but in my opinion it smells even better, i would say more masculine. If you survive opening, you will definetly enjoy this perfume. Longevity and projection are out of the world. I get 14h with 2-3 hours of crazy projection. On shirts this stays for weeks. Not suitable as office scent, i would not recomment blind buy even if you own a bottle of TV

FragZappa

I think it smells like the Tom Ford after the drydown. Tobacco Vanille has a powerful, aggressive top that makes it so interesting, you miss out on that with this. This stuff is more linear, but not completely. It's starts out clovey and cinnamony and after about 16 hours I get just a soft vanilla skin scent. But I've found it does make a warm, spicy, cozy fragrance that's nice around the house on a weekend. I couldn't do that with the Tom Ford. So it's different but nice in its own right.

colognecat

A close (but no cigar, to me) clone to Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille.

Lasts about 12 hours on my skin, very strong projection and sillage. It's pretty linear.

It was a smooth vanilla and spice affair with a tiny tinge of tobacco nestled away if you sniffed real close. The clove note wasn't too overpowering, at least on my skin. Smells similar to TV in the air which is nice. I liked the prominent spiciness of this clone, but I'm a sucker for tobacco scents and TV just has a more realistic one overall.

I loved this when I initially got it but once I got my nose on TV proper, I ended up gifting my bottle to a friend.

If you can get this on sale, you don't want to commit to a decant or full bottle of TV, or you appreciate the vanilla and spice a bit more than tobacco, this is a good buy.

AkaNeri

Cloves, cloves, cloves again, yet another dose of cloves. Unfortunately I cannot smell anything else :( Very dry fragrance, feels like you opened up a bag with cloves, put your nose there and inhaling the spices... Too much for me :(

Hamza_Chaudry03

I do not own Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille, but what I can say, is that this is an amazing fragrance for its price!

Nono600

It has a strong smell of artificial honey, i didn't get any vanilla, tom ford tv smells much better , i sprayed 10 times and got a headache and my nose and throat were bad, first spray of it I though that the perfume is expired or something, but it has a nice sillage smell , thank god i didn't blind buy it , i have spicebomb extreme and it smells a 100 times better than it

Update: i just bought the 2022 batch it smells smoother weaker and nicer but the performance is weaker you can easily spray 7-10 times with no problem , but i like fragrances that has strong performance

Afc_Croatian

Amber Oud Tobacco Edition is one of those clone fragrances that smell like what it's trying to replicate but at the same time it doesn't at all if that makes sense.

This is due to the imbalance of notes here, when you smell the atomizer, it has the same tobacco note as in Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille.... and that's it.

One spray, and not only does it fill up my whole damn house, it smells strictly like honey. I barely even pick up the vanilla. Huge disappointment if you are looking for a Tobacco Vanille clone.

I had high hopes since I love Tom Ford's private blend line. Literally one spray of this and you will have a coughing fit as well.

3/10

VonPanzer

Literally smells like cloves and hardly anything else. A hint of tobacco if you sniff close up.

Will not be wearing this much.

K.Dubya21

I wore this last night for the first time and the projection was heavy. I was at a bowling alley and i kept smelling my scent all damn night. here I am the next day and i still smell it. I hung my hoodie up when I came in last night and this morning when I opened the closet, I got a blast of that vanilla, tobacco and cinnamon. I was truly amazed. I knew that it was similar to Spicebomb Extreme and will say that you can't go wrong with either for the winter. My personal recommendation is to go light on the trigger. My sheets and pillow have the scent in it as well.

Darktor

Looooooong lasting. Even after a bath and going to sleep, I could still smell it in the morning (I applied it the day before at 10 A.M.)

Mystères du Château de Dé

I have seen this selling for the holiday season at 1/2 to 1/3 it's retail. Suggested Retail Price isn't cheap, considering it's a small bottle.

I agree with Radon. Each wear is different and it changes a lot inside from outside. Stepping out into the cold seems to provoke a shift and a blossom of projection, despite that I'm dressed for winter and the scent might be a few layers down. Why not also give a spray to your coat? Just one!

It really is delightful and at sale prices, it's high value.

Radon_355

TF tobacco vanille + VR Spicebomb = Amber Oud tobacco edition
It smells different with each test and you can feel all the notes, with the exception of the cocoa note, it is the weakest. Vibe of Christmas

d2blepeace

It is a younger brother of TF Tobacco Vanille but less sweet and more spice. I had a sample of TV and I always catch a sweetness of honey between Tobacco and vanilla when it dries down. However, Haramain Amber Oud TE is heavy on the spice and herbal scent at the opening notes. Some people described it as medicinal or tiger balm oil, which I agree. I also get the same impression with all of the clove, nutmeg and cinnamon.
It smells alchoholic at first then the spice of the herbal and wet tobacco begin to appear after a few seconds. After about an hour, it starts to have some similarities to TF Tobacco Vanille but a litte bit more wet and less sweet. Projection is strong but it only lasts from 4-5 hours on my skin. I blind bought this one since I love Tobacco and needed a cheaper clone to TV, but I suggest everyone to try it first. Oh, and the bottle's packaging is simple yet elegant.
I wear it daily along with Eau des Baux from L'Occitane.

player2thegraver

my batch is from 8/28/22 for me it's more ginger vanille than tobacco vanille maybe a reformulation? as far as I remember I smelled it before and the ginger wasn't as prominent on my skin as it is now, before it was tobacco, fruity, slightly smokey, spices and the ginger was more in the background... but anyways if you can find this for 50€ i'd say its worth every penny.

Peachy24

I like it way more on my clothe then on my skin .it's smells a bit unfinished , like something is missing, not rounded enough.Over all not bad .

Relitaliano

Why doesn’t anyone ever mention that this fragrance has a excellent pressurized atomizer which distributes a fine mist and leaves an oil slick on your skin, as if you were sprayed with a super soaker?! (Correction: ThatMakesScents 03/18/22 16:44 mentions this in his review) Spraying 15 minutes ago and it still looks like a applied baby oil to my wrists ;) 1/2 sprays are necessary in the future.

UPDATE:

I was impressed with the performance of AOTE. 1 hr of beast mode projection, 5-6 hours of extremely strong sillage, and 6-12+ hours of medium - strong sillage. This has one of the best sillage in my collection besides Mancera’s Red Tobacco, I was constantly getting strong wafts of this fragrance, from 1 spray on each wrist. Longevity was amazing 12+ hours minimum.

mesziman

I agree with NykTri. First wiff is very similar but then you get a prominent clove here .

NykTri

Very similar but not identical to TFTV initially but quite different in drydown. Only 3 notes- opens with tobacco and clove and ends with clove an slight vanilla.
Don’t buy if you don’t like clove or if you want vanillic drydown.

FragStar

Opens with a blast of wet tobacco, strong clove and star anise. The feeling is medicinal, thick and unpleasant. Very reminiscent of a check up at the dentist and oil used for toothache. The dry down blends tobacco and cloves with a licorice scented star anise, and a completely overwhelmed vanilla. The dentist/toothache oil accord from the clove never leaves and is absolutely awful. Comparing this fragrance to TV should be a crime. Terrible.

Kcbear28

I love it! I had Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille for years, even though I loved the scent, it just didn’t love my skin chemistry so got rid of it. This one is so good. It certainly resembles TF TV in my opinion but more like a feminine version of it and doesn’t leave that sour tobacco smell on my skin. And for the price.. whoo hoo!!

P.S. Shout out to my girl, Layla (is that how you spell your name?) from Style Digest on YouTube for introducing this. I’m grateful!

Bigmike650

It smells like cookies…don’t hate it but also don’t love it. I’m usually a fan of gourmand fragrances but this one is strange. Smells nothing like TF Tobacco Vanille by the way.

i<3perfumes!

I'm reviewing this as a female and I absolutely LOVE it! it definitely leans more masculine during the first 2 hours or so but after that it becomes more feminine. The initial spray has only a sprinkle of the annoying alcohol scent and this is coming from someone with a very sensitive nose. After it begins to dry down it's a peppery ginger and cinnamon dream and it stays at that stage for about an hour or two. After those hours it becomes more feminine to me it began to smell like a luxury, woody vanilla which I absolutely adore (coming from someone who thinks that vanilla smells like vomit after being drowned in synthetic vanilla in the girls changing room for years on end.) Overall this smells like what you wish all unisex earthy gourmands smelt like. I'm not sure whether or not this is a safe blind buy even though I love it, i'd strongly recommend smelling it in stores first, (even though I blind bought it) because it does smell like sugary spicy tea.

Packs a punch. A friend and I stayed at a cabin last weekend. He wore one spray and it filled the air for hours, easily cutting through both cool air and smoky fire. I caught wafts from as much as 15 feet away.

As impressed as I was by the performance, this does have an abrasive aspect that distinguishes it from the original to the extent that I choose not to wear it.

If you think Oud For Glory is a sufficient replacement for Oud For Greatness, you’ll probably be ok with this instead of Tobacco Vanille.

Mystères du Château de Dé

I've decided this is my "pumpkin spice" autumn fragrance. More accent on the mashed baked vegetable than the spice. Creamy aroma of a sweet-potato or pumpkin pie. Tobacco can also have an irresistible amber-vegetal aroma with velvety or creamy aspects.

"Vanilla" and "tonka" molecules are the essential support but this isn't a cloying vanilla fragrance. It's not overly sweet, either.

Members in this thread note the extreme spiciness. Perhaps I have a lingering covid nose. This is mellow. That said, it has impressive longevity and seems to build in strength so I don't like the spray to close to my nose.

Overall it's pie, earthy - spicy - sweet and velvety pie, based on a vegetable rather than a sweet fruit.

And tobacco. I agree with some previous reviewers - a mixture of humid, unsmoked cigarette and pipe tobacco.

Spice Bomb Extreme is gorgeous but flashy and shines as a young man's clubber. Anyone of any age (and gender) can smell nice in this Al Haramain.

The bottle is heavy and attractive and there's a metal cap. I don't appreciate the wasteful, carbon disasters, "luxury" presentation packaging that middle eastern houses do for their "luxury" fragrances. Nevertheless, the box is indeed tasteful and masculine.

Rough cut

It's a Tobacco Vanille clone. It's a very good Tobacco Vanille clone. It opens a little rougher and with some anise (warm not licorice like) which I actually really like. I wore TV as my signature scent for a few winters and always found the opening weak and too mellow considering it just mellows further. Amber Oud Tobacco is beautiful. If you love TV you'll love this. It has great performance and projects nicely. I personally won't be reinvesting in another bottle of Tobacco Vanille as the price has never come down and it's just not worth it when a clone like this exists. I also don't feel guilty as TV has been out for a LONG time and Tom Ford has made bank enough on the fragrance. If you're going to keep your prices barrier to entry high and others are nipping at your heels with great clones well.....that's life in capitalism.

Tl:Dr if you're wondering if it's a worth while Tobacco Vanille clone the answer is yes. After wearing the OG for two straight winters I actually prefer Amber Oud Tobacco

I'm in love. Very safe blind buy for me. Wish I knew about this sooner. I like it way better than hypnotic poison.

I love the opening. I smell vanilla, a little smoke, rose, caramel and woods.

I'm definitely in love with this one. I think I got it for $22 on Amazon. I'd pay $70 for this. Definitely a favorite. If you like oud, vanilla, caramel, rose, tobacco and a little incense, this is for you. The staying power is enormous. I'd say it's a safe blind buy for someone who likes beast mode spicy vanilla fragrances. A hidden gem. Just do it. 9.5/10. Perfect for cold weather. I'd say it's a fall/winter fragrance, which are my favorites. I can't stop smelling this.

Jenbug23

Oh this is lovely! Similar to TV but less vanilla and more spices. I can smell the anise, cinnamon and tobacco. I just got it so I’m going to let it sit for a while. I’m sure it’ll be a beast in a few weeks

TohaDisposable

This is the very first perfume I had to scrub off me. I had to scrub it off twice! A testament to its longevity I suppose. It has this almost boozy sweetness that I absolutely hate and cannot stand. Might be from the vanilla or cinnamon but I definitely did not like it. The tobacco note is nice though and very realistic on my nose. Had to give this bottle away to my sister who liked it so definitely unisex.

millerje86

I could really fall in love with this if it wasn’t for the clove! I have yet to find a fragrance with clove that I actually enjoy.

Don’t get me wrong, this is a good fragrance, clove is just one of those notes that my nose zeros in on and I have trouble smelling anything else ☹

Airborne Armadillo

Yes, this is a lot like TV. I won't pick apart minor differences because I have come to find that although I like a lot of what this scent profile has to offer, both are just too sweet and saccharine for my taste. I stopped reaching for it so it's been added to my swap list.

twoski

This fragrance has similar DNA to other Tobacco Vanille clones i've tried (in particular, i smell a lot of similarities to Dua's Sweet Tabacum).

There's a chemical sweetness in all of these fragrances that turns me off, i almost wish this was a less accurate clone because Tobacco Vanille DNA just does not work for my nose. I think it's the clove, star anise and some other chemicals they use that create this kind of sickly sweet scent.

I will say this fragrance is a lot more wearable than Sweet Tabacum. Sweet Tabacum is so potent that it gives me headaches with just 2 sprays and that chemical sweetness that nauseates me is very strong. This fragrance is long lasting but the sillage is much more restrained and respectable. Nuclear fragrances are not always ideal, in my opinion this is one of the Tobacco Vanille clones that does a good job.

cvaile

Everyone is right about that opening - it's strong and some (sort of including me) won't like it so much. I believe it's the dried fruit notes and the oud combining for almost the impression of dried fruits starting to ferment - it's strong, there's a vague "fuziness" around it, and it's bordering on boozy. That experience doesn't last long and it starts to get similar to Tobacco Vanille.

I'm one of those people who doesn't love TV. I should based on the profile, but I found it too sweet (another oddity, TF heavy hitters usually work great on my skin). AO-Tobacco has that very similar profile, but to my nose the sweetness is dialed down - or this one just works so much better on me.

Job very well done, again - I am once again floored by one of these modern "clone-house" scents. That still feels too pejorative for the quality some of these houses are producing - so does "bargain" since there are so many AWFUL cheapie manufacturers that houses like this should in no way be associated with.

AnosmiaAnosognosia

Great fragrance! Love it, yes it is like Tobacco Vanille, and yes it's different. Put it this way, they are similar enough to be redundant in a collection, but having both, if you can is the way to go if this is what you're in to.The mid sweet tobacco may even last a little longer than Tom Ford.

AnlisaC

I just received this yesterday and I’m loving this! It’s such a beautiful fall unisex fragrance. I see review comparing it to TF Tobacco Vanille (I’ve had both) but honestly it’s a different scent in my eyes. In the opening I get almost medicinal tobacco smell and later it becomes smooth and a dryer tobacco with vanilla. Longevity is amazing I get 12 hours out of this and it helps that there is such beautiful spicy notes in this. Sillage is a compliment getter for sure, I get them all day from both men and women. Highly recommended and a 9/10.

Kombucha

This is a beautiful fragrance, especially for the cooler months of autumn and winter. I haven't tried TV, so I won't be comparing it to that and instead will appreciate it as its own separate thing. To me, it dried down very sweet with the notes of vanilla and incense sticking to my clothes in a milky masala chai sort of way. The opening is quite strong, not sure what it is, but the harshness of it fades after 45min and instead becomes warm and smooth with the mix of tobacco and cinnamon. It's unisex, but on my skin its quite sweet rather than harsh which I am happy for.

I bought this as a blind buy looking for something spicy and sweet to replace my discontinued Velvet Teddy for the cooler months and I am very happy with the result.

Marcus925

@Cvintila Thank you. Actually I'm looking for something different. Spicebomb Extreme is ok but nothing special. It smells like lots of other fragrances.

Cvintila

Someone asked about a comparison with Spicebomb extreme. I can say that if you are looking for something to be more likely to be a crowd pleaser, you have to go with spicebomb extreme. This one has a more middle eastern vibe which can go both ways for a lot of people.
Spicebomb extreme is more sweet and cozy for my nose, and this one is a bit stronger and oriental leaning.
Both i feel like can be worn by men and women.
Hope it helps:)

Marcus925

How would you compare it to Spicebomb Extreme, is it more wearable and mass appealing?

PaulSell

Preliminary review. Trying out this blind buy today. Three blasts. I have not smelled the TF Tobacco Vanille. WHOA ! One "observation" I have with Middle Eastern frags is the opening (at least to my Western nose). Anyone remember Lavoris or Scope mouthwash ? What the heck IS that ? Cloves ? Anise ? I'm having serious doubts about this one, but not giving up, as the Middle Eastern frags usually don't disappoint in the drydown. Maybe I just need to change my perspective. Just not getting all the overwhelmingly positive reviews. HELP !

CreepyKid

I'd say this is close to TV but definitely different. The tobacco note is heavily up front but it's not a premium cigar or pipe tobacco scent. It smells 100% like a pack of cigarettes or a box of cheap machine made cigars like White Owl, Phillies, Dutch Masters, etc. If you opened a pack of Camels right now and smelled the top this is what you'd get. I can see a lot of people being turned off by that as other tobacco scents aim for high end dried leaf notes but I find a certain nostalgia in it. It reminds me of my Grandfather keeping boxes of cheaper cigars around as his daily smokes while working and reserving his briars and premuim humidor cigars for quiet times. As for the other notes I'm finding it hard to detect them over the Broly strength tobacco. The mild sweetness of the vanilla is there as well as some semblance of spice and maybe dried fruit, but again that could simply be the tobacco itself. Personally I think it's a great fragrance and it has proper longevity and perfomance. That said if the idea of smelling like unsmoked cigarettes and corner store cigars is something you want to avoid maybe skip this.

Thecheckoutguy

Wow,incredibly powerful stuff. One spray to my chest at 9.00 am, still going strong. Will probably have to wash it off before bed as my wife hates strong smells and this qualifies.
Haven't smelled T.V for ages, but from memory this is pretty darn close in the air.
I'm off work for a couple of weeks but once I'm back I'll update on customers responses

Amber Oud - Tobacco Edition
This is a fantastic fragrance. It opens with cinnamon, tobacco, woodsy, and slight incense. This smells/feels so warm, fall like, and just so very very pleasant. The tobacco does fade, but the cinnamon, cloves, spices stay beautifully. Probably not an everyday fragrance, but to a fall/winter gathering or really any fall/winter activity this will attract much more attention than turn away. If you need a nice calming warm scent to fall asleep with...here is a great option. I would give this 73/100. Longevity and performance are very nice. The price at discounters: it's a no brainer, pick it up.

Fliby

I was torn on blind buying this, since some reviews say it barely smells like Tobacco Vanille, while others say this is a close clone.
After getting this and comparing it side by side with TV I can say that this is extremely close.
The difference lies within the first hour. Where Tobacco Vanille becomes mellow rather quickly, this fragrance has the same tobacco vanilla scent, but a bit more spicy through the combination of clove, star anise and incense. After that it mellows down and becomes exactly the same, with great longevity and projection throughout.
I definitely recommend this if you're looking for something close to Tobacco Vanille for a fraction of the price!

britishpetro2

indian masala tea/chai tea.

Jalen

Doesn't smell like Tobacco Vanille. To my nose the tobacco is really toned-down.
It smells really cheap, but it's still a great scent however.

FragrancePhil

Woohoo what a find! I blind bought this but was a bit worried because people say that the star anise and spices notes are too overpowering in this fragrance to make it a good Tobacco Vanille clone. Fortunately, i can say that - to my nose - this is not the case. There are quite a few good TV clones, but most of them are niche fragrances themselves and thus carry a hefty price tag, for instance Phaedon's Tabac Rouge.
To me, this is the only good Tobacco Vanille clone i could find that is actually adequately priced.
Makes me look forward to fall and winter :)

a.elmahdy

This is a beautiful tobacco scent. An arabic take on Tobacco vanille and spicebomb extreme. Amber oud tobacco edition adds more spices, more tobacco, and some nice incense in the background. It sits nicely between the more woody and "dark sweet nutmeggy" TV and the more light and overall sweet spicebomb. I really like the added spices which balance the perfume and give it "texture", although the notes of cacao and anise can sometimes give a little bitter smell in the mid. The opening, however, is a beautiful and powerful "nutmeggy spice" and full of tobacco which is lovely, and the dry down is sweet cigar like tobacco with a little touch of smokiness. The performance is great (12+ hours on skin) and it creates a very elegant scent bubble, and of course it's an excellent value for money. The packaging is superb as well ! it comes in a hard silicon box that is soft to the touch and with pink metallic details, and the bottle sits in a nice velvet like foam. The bottle also has metallic cap, metallic detailing...it feels really sad to throw this nice packaging and bottle away in the trash afterwards.

BlackBeard

Good value for the money, well made perfume.
The only cons Is the anis smell way to powerful, to much spicy for couple of hours, but the drydown is great smell of tabacco, vanilla and spicy cinnamon.
I wish they will take it out the anis or tame it alot.

vbs221

Really strong and kind of loud. It’s similar to Tobacco Vanille, but definitely not the same, in a bad way. I find the tobacco in this one smells like wet/cured tobacco leaves, which I do not like. It’s pretty annoying. I have the same problem with Mancera’s Red Tobacco, but it's worse here.

What I find to be a much better alternative to Tobacco Vanille is L’Occitane’s Eau Des Baux. That one is even better than Tobacco Vanille, in my opinion. Very smooth, no wet-tobacco skank. Pretty cinnamon and cozy spices. Better priced than this, too. I’d take that over this any day of the week.

AlaskanAngel

The opening is dramatic, loud, and agressive. The spices are pretty pungent. Bold, brash, unrefined. Sweetness follows but in the same obnoxious way. And this review is all from just ONE spray on my wrist! This fragrance gives the impression that you are covering up something or seeking attention. This was not made for me. Wish I hadn't blind-bought a full bottle.

The very long dry down is better, I like it more now, but who has 4 hours to wait for that? Maybe I should dilute this with something? Like cut it w/alcohol?

Will try again in cooler weather.

UPDATE
It's much better in cold weather but It is missing the thicker, tobacco in the dry down. Great dupe but I prefer the creamy richness of the OG. Decluttered.

Nanners88

I don't have Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille so I'm just speaking about the fragrance itself. To start, the presentation of Al Haramain Amber Oud Tobacco Addition is really great. Especially given what you are paying (I paid around $50). Now for the juice! From the beginning I get that cinnamon and clove. So this one is pretty spice forward and I'm not mad about it. Once on your skin for a few minutes the spices calm down and then the tobacco and vanilla come through and I like it alot. I'll have to play with it more in terms of longevity and projection but so far it's great! It's perfectly unisex to me but if you are a woman who doesn't like cinnamon or clove I would stay away. I know that it can come off too masculine for some. All in all I think that this is a great buy and I can't wait to get it a go in the cooler seasons!

iatik

I have compared this side by side with Tom Ford - Tobacco Vanille and its not a exact clone. I felt this lacks the depth, intensity and projection. Even when you compare per ml price I feel this is not worth it. This should be lot cheaper for what it is. If you can't afford the whole TF- Tobacco Vanille buy a decant of 5 ml - 10 ml and that would be more worth then the whole bottle of Amber Oud Tobacco Edition.

StankFrank

Opens loud & sweet/spicy. Dried tobacco, clove, plum/ginger?, alcoholic vanilla?? Mellows into delicious fresh tobacco & fruit sweetened vanilla with the fruit and vanilla both fading till there is only sweet tobacco. Projects well off of warm skin but can be contained under clothing. Longevity is killer.

Perfect wear, a date that has your sprayed skin rubbing on her/his bed or upholstery. This transfers to fabric very very nicely & stays there a long long time smelling great.

Got a tester for $25 & 2-3 sprays gets the job done, so great value. Metallic pink gold-ish plastic flaked off of the sprayer, & said sprayer is pretty crappy. Bottle is heavy & looks ok with the cap on.

EDIT - This is headache inducing for me 🫤 I like the scent but it hits so hard & there is a fixative or something that gets to me if I wear this on the front of my body or inside or on my neck with a hood up. Spray safe, Fam.

BASMAJ

I tested the tobacco edition yesterday..the one with the pink metal... it was a very familiar scent profile...I got 60%sweet tobacco with 20% vanilla and 20% dried plum.. reminded me of CK one shock in the black bottle .. CK shock smells spicer, fuller, fresh, and more interesting yet in the same family I'm not saying they are identical but same vibe same type of sweet tobacco... and way cheaper 2ooML CK one shock less than 30$ while the 60ml of this cost 70$!

I just tested it on my hand then I took a shower after 3 hours it was there on my skin before showering but everything disappeared after showering so I can't judge the performance but al haramain is a well-known house when it comes to above-average performance....anyway pass IMO

Test it first

ShondaBlush

I like this. It reminds me of a ginger snap cookie or a chai latte. I mostly get the cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, and tobacco.

Ashmare

Supposedly an attempt at remaking Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille, but it doesn’t hit the mark. It has a really harsh spice quality, too much clove or cinnamon, that gives it a slight sickliness. TV has these notes too, albeit less intense, but unlike Amber Oud Tobacco Edition, TV has a dark powdery, almost slight floral component that softens the edges. I suspect those who say it’s a great clone aren’t comparing these side by side. On initial spray, Amber Oud TE smells like sticking your nose into a container of chai tea concentrate. Harsh and a bit synthetic. It’s much better once it settles down, smelling of vanilla, cinnamon and very mild tobacco (most of these ‘tobacco’ scents are referring to a rather one-note Virginia leaf style, not the richness of, say, cured and blended pipe tobacco, so it won’t be a punch in the face here, just as it isn’t in TV). This smells a little closer to TV midway, but it does take a while. By the end of the day, it’s a nice vanilla scent that will last for a very long time. Overall, as a standalone scent not compared to TV, it could use some toning down but it isn’t bad in the long run. As a TV clone, though? Nah.

SAMPSODX

This is a strange one. Close to TF Tobacco Vanille, but you can smell a fair bit of clove. I wouldn’t say it’s identical.

The vanilla is mellow and not overly sweet, which brings out the tobacco, star anise, pepper, ginger, and some hints of cacao. I don’t get woods in this.

I expected there to be more of a heavy tobacco scent with the tobacco and tobacco leaf. It’s not heavy, but provides a nice balance.

I also get a musky baby powder type scent which isn’t in the scent profile, but it’s fresh and cosy for a nice cold day.

Long lasting, but I wouldn’t say it’s a projection beast. Moderate projection, but it smells like a projection beast. Although, really hard to tell until someone 6 feet away asks what that smell is. I could be wrong!

It’s not expensive, but also not cheap.

Overall it’s a 9 out of 10.

zachjgal

Similar to Tobacco Vanille as it's supposed to be, but a little less mellow. The opening is much more clove-heavy than TV to the point of being a bit harsh, and it kind of dominates the fragrance in a way that I don't care for. Thankfully, it settles down after around 20-30 minutes, so just don't hop in a car immediately after spraying and you're unlikely to offend anyone. After about an hour it's *almost* indistinguishable from TV to my nose. The drydown is fantastically warm and cozy, and the scent lingers on clothing for days if you wear enough, though I prefer to spray it on my skin as the warmth brings out the base notes more quickly. Beyond the opening, the sweeter vanilla and dried fruit notes are well balanced with the ambery tobacco, and blend together to create a note that my nose reads as a sort of dark honey. Not smelling much wood, but that's okay.

Despite stellar longevity, the scent doesn't project much beyond a 6"-1' bubble, which I think is a huge plus. Warm, cozy scents like this shouldn't be used as attention-getters at clubs. I mean, I don't think any scent should be used this way, but people will be people. ~3-4 sprays should do the trick. Any more than that may increase the projection, but, should you get up close and personal with anyone, I can guarantee you it'll be headache-inducingly strong, which is not what you want out of something that's supposed to be warm and cuddly.

Though the notes read as masculine on paper, the sweetness makes this perfectly unisex. The simple fact is that warm and cuddly smells are popular with just about everyone.

As for when you would wear this, any time in the late fall or winter is perfect. Some oriental spicy fragrances with lighter notes and less sweetness, e.g. L'aire Du Desert Marocain, can be pulled off in the warmer months, but if it's over 40 Fahrenheit I would strongly recommend reaching for something else.

Chinello23

Syrupy, heady dates and tobacco. Wood not really coming through for me. To be fair it has been in transit - I will let the bottle sit for a few days and update my review then to see if it becomes more complex.

I've only tried tobacco vanille a few times and it smells almost exactly the same to this. I'm not even a huge fan of tobacco vanille so I have no idea why I purchased this - I was hoping there were enough differences to set it apart. For most people I will assume this is a good thing! Especially considering the price of it.

Painkiller

This one is less pungent than Tobacco Vanille and lasts longer, but this pungency makes the main notes stay longer on TV (tobacco and dry fruits). So it's not as linear as TV as it gets more spicy as it dries down but you lose a bit of the tobacco and dry fruits (but they stay throughout all of the fragrance just toned down a bit). Aside from that they are practically the same fragrance with AOTE being more friendly, not that TV is super challenging or anything... These type of fragrances are one of the few that have the "tobacco note" in them and I perceive it as tobacco and not just a mish mash of sweet ambery notes. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to TV and this one was a great find for me. Everyone should try TV at least once but I can say if you go for this one it's fine as well.

arabic

I would love Al Haramain Amber Oud White Edition to be added to the database. It reminds me of Alien Oud Majestueux, but lasts longer.

Akos89

A received a sample from this, and the only thing that I can smell is something sweet, and cloves :(
And I absolutly don't feel it has strong or enormous sillage...
Maybe I get a bad sample?

hclivess

Lovely Tobacco Vanille clone. Compliments received. I will forever remember the moment of walking into the Tom Ford alley and sniffing Tobacco Vanille. I suddenly felt like everything else is scam.

ThatMakesScents

Performance ?

Been wearing this now for 5 days. Really liking the woody aspect to it. Almost like wearing a piece of bark with tree sap. Performance though is not the greatest. Don't get me wrong its a very heavy scent and goes on almost like a Parfum but the longevity is hit or miss even on clothes . IE. I have it on a sweatshirt that I sleep with. It's still on there in the morning but oddly enough the 4 sprays to my chest which obviously went all over my sleeping shirt is barely there to me. Same when doing 4 sprays while wearing a cotton T Shirt then going for a walk. The T shirt should reek of it when I get back from my walk but it doesn't.
The atomizer smells heavy from the get go. So its a good scent and has some performance just not the greatest IMO.

There is a confussion tidal wave here in some reviews: So it goes like this, Amber Oud Collection from Al Haramain has several versions that resemble other niche ones.
*Amber Oud : Amouage Interlude Man
*Amber Oud Gold: Xerjoff Erba Pura
*Amber Oud Tobacco: Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille
*Amber Oud Rouge: MFK Baccarat Rouge 540 extrait
*Amber Oud Blue: Chanel Bleu (not on fragrantica yet)
*Amber Oud Carbon: Creed Green Irish Tweed (not on fragrantica yet)
*Amber Oud White: Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Intense (Not on fragrantica Yet)
*Amber Oud Emerald Extrait d'parfum Exclusiff: wich I don't know what this dupes for and also not on fragrantica yet.
Hope this helps to be more familiar with this whole Collection. Personally, I love the rouge and gold editions both masterpieces, super high quality fumes with luxurious packgaging.
Edit: I've recently seen an exclusiff extrait d'parfum amber oud sport (red+black bottle)and that same version of the original Amber oud, haven't smelled them yet tho.

Đức.vũ

In my humble opinion, this one is really close to Tabac Rouge of Phaedon , and TV is belong to another level. In fact, the opening similar as Tabac Rouge but more green and made myself felt pure dried tobacco , it's actually interesting & attractively . extremely sillage for 2 hours and then dry down , i saw it long lasting as the same with Tabac Rouge . Don't have anything to complained .
On the designer fragrance market nowaday , this one is easily able to knock-out all of tobacco - notes with affordable price and wonderful quality .
I absolutely recommended everyone should buy Al Haramain Tobacco Edition
8/10

Arrived today on my wrist. Purchased from Jomashop. I trust them since I have purchased many watches from them before. First time buying a fragrance from them.

PERFORMANCE ? Seems very powerful to me. Leaves a wet oily mark on the skin. Atomizer had scent BEFORE even spraying. THIS is always a great indicator to me about performance . Verdict still out on longevity but seems on track to be a winner.

Smell ? I owned a full bottle of TV when it first came out.....

I smell a very heavy raw amber with spices and mild nuances of dry tobacco . Also some vanilla of the dark resinous kind. Similar to what you find in cooking vanilla from the supermarket.

I won't lie though there were several moments I was considering this to be a scrubber because the amber was so raw it smelled like it was laying in wet earthy dirt. You must like raw woods to like this scent. It teeters on household room spray ...you have been warned. Although from a distance this could be interesting even in heat.

Presentation is GAWDY and gorgeous . :)

I smell ZERO OUD in this.

Personally I think it captures the genre that TF comes from . I certainly don't mind owning it. If I had a choice though I would do the TF >>>> IF the performance was great. Otherwise stick with this.

Update:

Been wearing this all day just reapplied after a shower. At his point I am getting more sweetness from this perfume. This is what I imaged the original Kalemat would smell like. Projection dies down considerably after 2/3 hrs but it stays as a nice skin scent for awhile longer maybe up to the 6/7 hr mark. Not really sure on clothes yet.

Porsche9!

Pretty much same as Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. To me it smells like candle from bee wax. Nice gentle scent which persists and persists.... Nice smell overall for casual wear at least for me.

You guys better be right about this. I just purchased a bottle.

Me and the boys will be making knuckle sandwiches just in case this is another case of reviewer fraud.

It's windy and snowy outside in March, so it is still a season for this fragrance. My bottle was cold from the weather when i sprayed it, but i got a strong blast of cacao and tonka, then cinnamon, vanilla and star anise. It was light and airy after dry down, and very wearable. A man or a woman can wear this easily. I think it will go well with the Oman frankincense I use with my lotion. I also have agarwood oil that I will layer with it when I don't want so much sweetness (there is no oud in this that I can detect). It is a lovely fragrance on its own though, a more complex alternative to Molton Brown Oudh Accord and Gold, which was my staple fragrance for a long time. I haven't smelled TF TV yet to compare the two. I only used one spray of AOTE. It wasn't too overwhelming even during the initial stage, it just needs time to sit on the skin and warm to your temperature.

wondervalley666

This is almost an exact dupe for Tom Fords Tobacco Vanilla. I did a 24-hour one on each wrist, side by side test and there are two notable differences:

1. TF has a sweeter gourmand cupcake vanilla note while this is a more spicy vanilla incense note. Grab a bottle of Pacificas vanilla body spray to layer and you’ve got TF TV. But if you wear this alone, I guarantee most people will assume you're wearing Tom Ford because the dominant notes are identical.

2. This scent lasts twice as long as TF TV. I still smell it the next morning after applying it! I even just stepped outside to chat with my brother in law, who was 10 feet away from me and asked if I was smoking a clove - and I applied fewer than 5 sprays of this LAST NIGHT before bed. Now it's lunch time. A REAL BEAST. Considering the price difference, that makes Amber Oud Tobacco Edition a clear winner!

I wouldn’t say it’s a safe blind buy if you’re unfamiliar with these two fragrances-they’re both clove-heavy holiday spice smoky bar type scents. But if you’re a fan of TF TV you’ll love this one as well. The bottle and packaging are excellent and beautiful as well.

Just PLEASE make SURE you buy the TOBACCO EDITION of Amber Oud. There are 4 different fragrances in this line, each smell completely different than one another, each with the AMBER OUD name and similar bottles of slightly different color. If you buy the wrong edition while looking for TFTV, you will be disappointed (or not - the other editions are excellent quality/value scents and I've read other commenters who mixed up their purchase and ended up loving their mistake purchase as well for the different scent it is)

I have been using TF TV for a couple of years now & it is one of my favorite scent ever! I never thought that there could be another one that really compete with it's quality, performance, & the resemblance of the scent itself. The only minor difference is the Vanilla which is more prominent in this one. I asked myself why should I pay that hefti price for the TF.

Ladies & Gents, to all of you out there who are really a big fan of TV, do yourself a favor & grab this one, you will not be disappointed & yeah thank me later

Worth every penny! Take all my money please! This fragrance is gorgeous

Well bought a decant to compare to TF TB and was kinda dissapointed.while it gives warm wintery cozy vibe it goes in a different direction than the original. To me TF is more vanilla sweet seductive. While Tobback oud adds too much spice for my liking. Al Haramain Tobacco Oud has a different vibe making it more smooth and most importantly I get too much of clove, anise, ginger and cinammon. The TF TB has less notes making it more seductive smooth and less abresive. I can understand why someone might enjoy this scent but for me it gives more vibes of burberry London or any other Christmas/ dinner scent than seductive TF TB. If your looking for a warm winter oriental fragrance give it a try, I wouldn't call it TF TB clone ( i would even go for Mercedes Benz club black first). I wouldnt blind buy either as the price is overpriced to me anyway. Ladies reaction said it's too harsh and I agreed, it has great projection and Longevity and will probably cut through cold like a knife but it's just not the way I would like to smell :/ but my hopes could be simply destroyed as I was looking for a perfect TF TB replacement and that it is not.

I recently tried a sample of TF:TV. I loved it more than all of my other samples. But it's very expensive. This AOTE is the closest thing I was able to find—thanks to this website! I got the 2oz. bottle and used two sprays... WOW! This is explosive! The first thing that hit me was vanilla! (note* I never smelled vanilla in the TF sample.) Now, I am in heaven enjoying the dried down notes of tobacco. It reminds me of when I was a child, and my dad would smoke a pipe... how the pouch of tobacco would smell so nice! I hope in the future, that I can find an even bigger bottle of this! It's going to be a sig scent!

Ambergrizzly

To me Amber Oud Tobacco Edition is very similar to Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. AOTE has less sweetness than TV, but the same fragrance frame work otherwise. I had been sampling TV now and then, but couldn't bring myself to pay the high price.

I wore this around a friend, who owns and loves TV. He thought I was wearing TV and was surprised to find out it was AOTE. It is very very close in the air.

I find it to project a bit better than TV, and the longevity is really good as well.

cklostreich

A+, 9.5/10. Do yourself a favor and buy this item rather than another bottle of TF TV, this stuff is nuclear. This is exactly what I was looking for -- a slightly different TF TV -- but stronker.

Swavey

I had been hesitating buying this for a while and i honestly shouldn’t have. This smells almost exactly like tv. The tobacco, vanilla, spices and dried fruit are amazing and everything is just amazing quality. Long lasting asf u only need 2 sprays and it also has an amazing bottle with a beautiful box

StackMaintain

Do yourself a favour and just buy this!!!!, it's that good😍😍. 9.5/10

Had to retract my once glowing review for this. I initially found it quite similar to tobacco Vanille but more intense. After a few wearings, however, I found that it smells too much like allspice, like clove and cinnamon oil. That’s it. Truly it smells crass and unsophisticated in my opinion. Not awful but I was certainly hoping for better.

Amber Oud Tobacco Edition by Al Haramain is, as you have probably heard, quite similar to Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford. I am a big fan of Tobacco Vanille, but not of the price. So I was curious to try this. I find that it's about 85%-90% similar, but not quite identical.

It's spicy, sweet, tobacco-y, so it's still in the same category of scents. But this has less of the wet tobacco note, and comes across drier, more airy, and simpler than TV. I find it slightly soapy after a while, which I would not say about TV.

Also, the dry-down comes across as a bit funkier than the sweetness of TV. I guess this might be the oud note that many reviewers seemed to be searching for. For me, I find this funkiness a detriment, but I may just be particularly sensitive to that kind of smell. (There are certain foods and flavors I avoid like the plague.) Some others may enjoy it. That note is really not overpowering, but it's just not my preference.

To me, this is good, but not good enough to entice me to buy a full bottle. If I didn't know about Tobacco Vanille, I might go for it. The price of Amber Oud seems quite fair.

I think the next thing I will try is The Oil Perfumery's oil-based impression of TV. Either that, or save pennies for a small size of TV.

Luyandaam

Fingers crossed I enjoy it 😭 blind bough it because I needed an oud in my collection. I saw vanilla and immediately added to cart and paid. I hope it lives up to the description 🥺

Srben

This is a really beautiful fragrance. The initial impression is the box that it comes in: a better presentation than fragrances in my collection costing 5-7x the price of AOTE. Very well done! As for the fragrance itself, the initial spray smells EXACTLY like Tobacco Vanille. The dry down is richer, and has deeper dried fruit notes. I don't see any honey note listed, but I could swear that I smell it. Is the richness and depth coming from the dried fruit note of fig? No idea, but I love it. Like most clones, this isn't a perfect 1:1; it's a twin or TV that's beautiful in its own right. It's truly a beautiful fragrance, and well worth the blind buy for lovers of TV. I'm very happy that I purchased it, and have since bought another bottle - even though I've got a full back-up bottle of TV. Yes, It's that good.

valentinocerca.amore

If heaven had a scent, I guess it would smell like that. I simply can't find the right words to describe this fragrance,
It has a divine scent and easy crowd pleaser, I ALWAYS get compliments when I wear it and it lasts all day on my skin and clothes.

TobaccoSense

I have two sprays of Amber Oud Tobacco Edition on my left wrist and Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille on my right. They're very similar, but initially TV is denser and TE to be a bit flatter than TV in the opening. In TV the cocoa is more obvious and overall the fragrance is more rounded and thus is a bit smoother and luxurious. TE seems to focus more on the spices and offers little cocoa, while TF cocoa is a prominent note, rather than a supporting one. On the flipside however, TE offers little incense.
Summery
TE - Tobacco and lots of it, spices and a bit of incense but not much vanilla or cocoa, ok sillage, mediocre longevity
TV - Tobacco and lots of it, generous cocoa and decent vanilla with some spices but no incense. Better sillage, Good longevity
I suggest more sprays in the colder weather of AO Tobacco Edition. Bottles of TE are also 60ml....just so your aware.

The_Dorian

One of the vrey few frags that project on me. I'm literally in love with this one. Don't care about it trying to be TV. I find it better, anyways. Try before you buy, though. Not for the AdG crowd.

DominicMC

Nice frag, but smells exactly like TV by TF

Rex Sovereign

I think Ballet Flowers nailed it. This doesn't smell like much more than a harsh whiff of synthetic cinnamon and then it vanishes into a weak skin scent. There is virtually no difference between this and another clone house called Paris Corner and their "Charuto" scent. They must have swapped chemical formulas and then sent free sample to the all the 2nd class YouTube reviewers who hype it up in return. This synthetic swill smells nothing like TF TV, and nothing like I want too wear, either. I think a weak linear saccharine root beer describes this scent. I would be surprised if the people touting this swill are paid to do so. I wouldn't even rate this a 3 in any category.

Balletflowers

It’s not what I thought it would be unfortunately. It’s not even sweet? This smells like root beer? I also do see the similarities between this & MAC velvet teddy, very similar. The main notes I detect in this are star anise, cloves, black pepper with a hint of cinnamon. Nothing else. I wish I got more vanilla, tobacco leaf, cacao & especially tonka bean. I will say it smells better on skin than clothes. On clothes I get more pepper & on skin it’s warmer. It’s not something I’m into though. I don’t like it on me.

2G

Just got mine. Initial impression , very very close to TV. The clove, cinnamon and fruity notes are more pronounced though which I actually prefer compared to TV.
There's actually a greek traditional dessert called ''moustalevria'' that smells pretty close to this due to the spices.

I also have to give Al Haramain a thumbs up for the presentation. I don't care about that tbh but for 45£ the box is proper niche quality which is quite impressive

Palmer Eldritch

Ok this is crazy, this smells 100% like 'Tobacco Vanille'. I am gobsmacked... And performs better on my skin too?

On my skin 'Tobacco Vanille' gets pungent and pee-like, however this one doesn't.

'Amber Oud Tobacco Edition' is a linear fragrance like its inspiration scent. Wet (not sticky), sweet tobacco leaf with a serious amount of cloves and cinnamon. I get a bit of fruity sourness in the dry-down from the dried fruits accord just like in the original! All on a base of vanilla extract. No sticky facets here!

Xmas in a bottle. But in a classy fashion.
Forget Tom Ford, get this one. Much better in every way!

anthonycball

Warm and spicy. Heavy, heavy clove. Vanilla. Mild dark fruit. Tis’ the season for this fragrance. Smells like a Christmas candle in the best way.

Evokes holiday feelings of when my mom would simmer a pot of cloves, cinnamon sticks, orange peel, star anise and vanilla on the stove all day just to fill our home with the most incredible Christmas aroma.

Incredibly strong, long lasting; yet not as nuclear as the “gold” version. Name is misleading because there is no oud in this, which I feel would detract from the scent profile.

I love wearing this November and December as a holiday seasonal scent.

Blind buy for me and I was concerned about the clove being over the top for me. But after the first 5 minutes of having this on, I'm getting lots of sweet tobacco, tea, spices, hint of amber, tonka bean & vanilla with a kiss of dried fruit. This is beautiful. The clove is not overpowering for me and on my skin there's a light sweetness to it. Around the 15 minute mark, the spices have dried down to a whisper and I'm left with a lot of tobacco, tea, and vanilla. It is unisex, although it seems a little more masculine than completely uni. My skin usually eats up scents and I'll have to see how long this stays on.

Jerre

Yes. I will stand up and clap for this one!
I really wasn't too sure ordering this one. I read review after review. Went over the scent break down... a lot. I decided to make the buy and after a full days wear.. I am glad I did.
This is a long lasting 14hr+ fragrance. Lots of sweet tobacco, dried fruits and really...everything in the Note break down/ pyramid. This must be the first fragrance I have ever had that I can detect all of them. What a ride what a ride! Smells different than anything else that I have. No oud really..it doesn't need it. =)
At hour twelve I could still get wafts of it. I did not go anosmic with this gem at all. At 14hrs and 17hrs I still get bursts of it but its is certainly not as potent as the first 12 hours. Super amazing performance.
This can be used by either gender. A woman can rock this with no problems. I think it does lean slightly male but its personality driven. If you are positive and outgoing this scent will work and work big. People will love it on you and it will appear feminine. As a guy, its no problem, it will appear masculine to others.
I can see a little resemblance to Joseph Abboud which, to me, has a kind of Ume Boshi smell about it. I get a bit of that in Amber Oud Tobacco Edition and it must be the dried fruits.

Longevity 12/10 (for being so super performing)
Sillage 9/10
Scent 9.5/10 (could be divisive, some might not like it... at first. given time I think everyone would)
Overall 10/10

I've received a tester today...and I am glad I did not purchase a full bottle. On my skin extremely clove heavy, spicy monster. I do sense the tobacco, however the spices just cover it up so much that it does not even have a chance to emerge fully. It reminds me of Indonesian clove cigarettes I used to smoke in the 90s. I do see the love some people express, but I do highly suggest that you order a sample before dropping more money on it. There is a nice online shop in Germany (Oriental Style) that ships samples on many Middle Eastern fragrances. I would not buy a full bottle of this fragrance.

Fragranooga

Makes Tobacco Vanille obsolete as far as I'm concerned. Exactly the same smell with better performance and 1/4 the price.
