This is my favorite version of Her. It’s still sweet but tart than the original. It has a tinge of benzoin to it. It’s what I expected the elixir version to be and I’m bummed it’s discontinued.

sillybobilly

This thing was a jumpscare for my nose I don't know what got lost in translation from Her EDP to here but the DNA in my opinion is entirely absent and this honestly just smells like something my doctor would present me with when I've got a bad cough. Oddly medicinal and I don't pick up on the berries at all.

Cecilie.l.s.m

Lots of berries with a good base of benzoin.
I can smell Jasmine like a guest in the distance.
A cozy and welcome guest.

Unfortunately, the fresh scent of berries quickly disappears, leaving me with a benzoin and Jasmine scent that has a dusty/powdery undertone.

I like the scent and enjoy its sweetness.
But it's not a scent I will miss in my collection when there's no more left.

Nice to get to know it, and that's about it.

KraCATice

Just blind bought Dark Cherry & Amber by Banana Republic and after the first spray I immediately knew I already have something alike in my collection. It is Her Intense. I tested them and they are almost identical. So, for those, who crave Her Intense, and cannot find it, I suggest you to try Dark Cherry & Amber as an alternative.

evii55

I absolutely love this scent!! It smells sooo goodd. It’s so sweet, so nice, so syrupy, personally I adore it!! About the longevity I can smell the perfume all day especially on clothes, but about sillage I’m not sure what to say I don’t have an idea how it perfoms. So bad that it’s discontinued, I really loved this scent.

annnna45

i love the scent of this so girly it def does have that sort of medicinal kinda scent to it tho which i dont persoanlly mind but others might not. i do get the regular compliment that i smell super sweet from time to time but i notice it mostly happens when i hug people so the sillage isnt that great. i usually layer it over a body oil to make it last longer but still dont last that long i would say only 3-4 hours x

aroundthewaygirlnextdoor

Its the familiar DNA with a heavy dose of raspberry flavored cough syrup. Sometimes I get a menthol accord which makes it smell like raspberry cough drop. Others don't perceive this on me.

Ethereal Love

I do not get the medicinal/cough syrup quality that other people are getting. I'm actually very confused. I was expecting something thick and syrupy, but this actually smells a lot like the original Burberry Her except this is less sharp and slightly deeper. This smells a lot like bubblegum to me.

This also smells different on skin than it does in the air. I smell more berries on my skin, but my scent bubble is more airy and similar to bubblegum.

nandalyne

Huge performer! It lasts and lasts. Projection is heavy! I really like this and it’s one of the few berry scents I can stand. It has the same DNA as the others from the line of course but I find the Intense version less immature and more deep, complex. Totally recommend! I also have the Elixir version, which I consider fluffier and more youthful.

vibrant.girl

If you have Her Elixir, which 'replaced' this as an "intense" flanker, you don't need this one. I agree with the medicinal notes others mention, I think due to the benzoin-berry blend... and it is more amber-y than I prefer. But, if you know you like Her *and* you prefer amber-rich scents, this would be worth it. I'm glad I tried it but I'm going to stick with the more lactonic and less-medicinal Elixir.

smithaker

I really like Burberry Her even though I tend to like more intense scents so I thought this one would surely be a winner. Unfortunately, this combination is very medicinal on my skin, almost like cough syrup, so I'll stick with the original.

Lela-67

I originally bought Her after I received one of those mailers from Ulta. I didn’t try it on in person. Just ordered it and had it shipped. It wasn’t the same and I didn’t care for it. When I went into the shop to see if I’d mistakenly ordered the wrong item, I found Her Intense.

This is so much better on my skin! I wore it off and on for a few months, preferring YSL Black Opium but then one day on impulse, I wore it. I e worn nothing else sense. Lol. The more I wear it the more I love it. I am crushed it is discontinued. I do still have about 1/2 a bottle but it’s only the 30 ml size. I wish they would bring it back for a second run.

melisthefirebender

It's a discontinued fragrance so i wasn't expecting to get my hands on it but thank god i managed to get it on a duty free. When i first sprayed it on i couldn't understand why they discontinued it because it's truly one of the best perfumes i've ever tried. It's quite long lasting, it lasts on me for 8-9 hours without applying any type of lotion. I wasn't gonna talk about how good it smells because y'all already know but i can't help it, i have to. It smells heavenly, like you are in a field of strawberries. The sillage is also amazing, you don't have to spray much because it'll do the job itself. In my opinion, it's much better than Burberry Her in every way even though it's a flanker. Don't think twice about buying it if you can find it!

bringprivateaccordback

tested this a while back and I liked it! the mix of red fruits and blackberries was delicious and this flanker is definitely more complex and interesting than other versions of Her. almost as if original Her got a degree from a proper university and dyed her hair dark from blonde :)

the sillage and longevity were also great - put on a couple sprits and could still smell this on my clothes after 6+ hours. however, after a while benzoin and jasmine get very intense which almost gave me a headache. maybe this would work better during autumn or winter, but during summertime you won't miss this. maybe I'll still buy this if I spot this somewhere - it's hard to come across!

Miavellzi

This is my favorite fragrance ever. I cried when it got discontinued and could cry just thinking about it too.

This is literally Burberry Her’s more mature, sultry, sexy and intense sister. This is everything a woman could want in a perfume. Alluring, comforting and sweet.
The sillage on Her Intense is 10/10 and I received compliments from everyone around me including store assistants, dentists and colleagues.

I used to carry the 15ml sample bottle around with me as a lift me up as the scent never failed to make me smile.

I had this perfume x2 and finished both bottles right to the last drop. I wish they would release it again even it’s just a limited run.

Weinda

It is sad this fragrance has been discontinued. It was a great flanker, rich and fruity and gorgeous.

vanillaberry

Sweet, syrupy berries with a slightly sharp, medicinal opening that develops into a warm benzoin. I can't smell jasmine in this one at all! This is truly magical on my skin and it somehow works perfectly for every season. It does share a similar DNA to BR540 but it's not a dupe whatsoever. It's also quite fresher than BH Elixir and more berry-forward than the original BH. It is heartbreaking that they discontinued this, thankfully i have 5-6 back up bottles that i plan to cherish.

jessica_chinos

On my skin chemistry this downright smells like cough syrup, onboxious medicinal scent in me. Could not stand it. I think in other skin chemistries must smell good because of all the hype, but for me, it’s a no-no.

onjelbercier

It's... nice. I guess. Not memorable. I literally forget how it smells if I'm not wearing it. I was disappointed after hearing that it's sweet. It really isn't, at least not in a way that is significant. The strawberry just doesn't do much for me. It smells like I'm wearing a perfume fit for... someone else.

Edit: I came back to this fragrance after some months now. And honestly, I don't know what I was saying. After having smelled other kinds of perfumes, I realize just how uniquely elegant and moody this perfume is. I am fortunate to still have it considering that it is probably discontinued. It also holds sentimental value for me because it was the first real perfume I have ever had, given to me by my dad. How stupid of me to have wanted something generic or obvious in it's DNA. At the time I had wanted a fruit smoothie kind of fragrance. But BHI literally smells like a sparkling gemstone. Like a garnet or ruby. I have worn this perfume to so many special events: Shen Yun, Riverdance, the Brigderton Ball Experience, etc. And I now realizethat it was the perfect scent for all of those moments. Now when I think of those moments, they all smell like Burberry Her Intense. It will forever have a special place in my heart!

Elfin Will

Smells like cherry cough syrup. Fruity but medicinal. I think I'd prefer the Elixir version (which I haven't smelled yet) that apparently is more creamy and doesn't have that sharp medicinal vibe!

Juicelove

This one of the Burberry line blew my nose/head off!
Nough said

jazzscent13

I like this the most out of the entire Burberry Her line.. it’s a jammy berry vanilla scent…but the benzoin in the base is too strong. So I’m not getting it

Woodamber

Synthetic and sweet red berries with benzoin. On my skin it is actually not that syrupy sweet. Instead the notes of jasmine and benzoin comes through which gives it a more clean vibe. The notes of red berries are still there but goes softer with time. It definitely takes me to carefree and sunny days during spring.
I also get some nostalgia because of its synthetic berry notes. It reminds me of this soap bar from LUSH that is called Rockstar which I used to love around the early 00's. That has a similar synthetic scent of red berries.
But I also get the similarity of how some barbie dolls used to have that sort of synthetic and sweet berry scent.

AnnaMagenta

It is a kind of nostalgic smell. Reminds me of a box of Barbie dolls somehow. It is not a terrible smell by any means, but just not a contemporary execution of the berries trend.

emilycmitchem

Dark cherry incense. Smoky, deep, fruity. It reminds me of Hot Couture by Givenchy, but this fragrance has no tobacco note, just sweet smoke. I don’t particularly like this fragrance but it is very interesting and I appreciate it in my collection (received as a gift.) I have asked quite a few peoples opinion on this one and they all said something along the lines of it being very classy, but for a much older woman.

PuppyFever

I love Burberry her, but in the intense the mix of benzoin and blackberry smells sharp. I understand they were going for a syrupy version of the OG but just like in Armani's Si Intense the heavy dose of benzoin was a mistake!

HillTop

Cotton candy with blackberry - my husband says. Does it smell like cotton candy? Yes! But in a very delicate and elegant way. Not overly fruity neither cloying just a brilliant mix of dark sweet fruits covered in a powdered cloud. Works perfect in winter. Don‘t miss that beautiful bottle, colour looks gorgeous and it feels so good holding it.

By the way: has nothing in common with HP Dior.

msamber86

This is a dark red cherry. It’s gorgeous. After about an hour the jasmine blooms and the mix of jasmine and cherry is lovely. This scent is pretty linear and a little basic but it is nice. It would be a really good office scent that is a bit unique.

femmefumes

not the best. i'm guessing i don't love benzoin ?

nateya

On paper it smells exactly like the og but stronger (strawberry version of BR540). But on my skin, it starts out smelling very medicinal mixed with strawberries. The longer it sits, it’s just straight up cherry cough syrup. The cherry smell is dark and sweet but it’s so artificial. It projects like crazy and lasts all day which is great! I highly recommend you test this on your skin first or you may be disappointed!

sweetlikecandyxo

This is deeper than the original Burberry Her. For some reason, I pick up a heavy cherry scent. It's a nice sweet deep fruity fragrance.

fragrantkilljoy

If you ask me this is a fruitier version of Dior Hypnotic Poison EDT! At first spray it smells like some sort of fruity cocktail or a mixer; I can't really put my finger on what it is but it smells like an alcoholic drink (that probably has contreau in it, for some weird reason).

There's a lot of boozy red berries and, it takes a while but, cherry takes center stage. Once it completely dries down there's an almost plastic quality to it - it reminds me of the playdoh note in HP EDT but it's not quite the same. Some people say it's that of a plastic doll and I guess that's not totally wrong.

It's also as powdery, warm and cozy as HP EDT. It kind of makes me think of christmas evening after one has left church. Like there's still myrrh or some incense on your clothes and after you get inside from the cold, make a fire and sit down with a fruity alcoholic drink. The benzoin gives it this incense base, that turns sirupy together with the berries and gives a smoky feel. Boozy sirupy, still after a few hours on the skin.

I like this fragrance; I think it's much more complex than the notes would suggest and it has some sort of mysterious aura to it while also being approachable. When I first sprayed it it was a bit too harsh; too loud and boozy for me. In the drydown it is much more elegant and sophisticated, but, for me, way too powdery (same with HP EDT) and too heavy on the cherry. But, while I overall like it, it also gets reeeeaaally timid after only a few hours, at least on my skin. It doesn't project at all and is much more of a skin scent - which surprised me after it started out so loud. I just thought I'd like it way more than I do now after wearing it for half a day. It's a nice scent overall and there's definitely occasions where I'd still wear it, but personally I won't buy a bottle.

This is definitely not a safe blind buy (yes it's discontinued now but it's still available in many stores!) except if you know and like Dior's Hypnotic Poison EDT but want something less vanilla and more fruity.

Kuty22

I regret buying this fragance.
It's discontinued so I panicked and bought it.
Not worth it - At All 😐
It's not a bad fragance, maybe it was reformulated already, since mine says made in Spain ....
To my nose this is very different from the original, to my nose this is more ambery and Cherry chapstick like, whereas the original is bright 🔆, 'girly' and 'fruitier'.
I find no BR540 vibes, at all.
I don't think this withstands cold, rainy and windy weather either 😩

ilovejeremyfragrancemore

Don't understand all the hate. Had to come here and say this is one of my favs ever.

Everyone is absolutely CORRECT it smell like cough syrup, cough drops, leaked vape juice, you name it. But that is why I love it. I love to smell like a medicine cabinet at the candy store. Gone through almost 3 bottles. Burberry needs to sponsor me.

Heavenly Heather

Love this version of Her and I’m sad that it was discontinued. It’s everything I like about the OG but deepened with dark juicy blackberries and amber. It’s sweet, syrupy and rich.. it’s almost gooey sweet but also has an airy freshness about it as well. Great sillage and longevity too!

P_a_p_e_rcuts

For me, this is suuuper sweet and sticky. It smells like that cheap strawberry ice cream sundae sauce, that’s really syrupy made with corn syrup. I find it very cloying and because the longevity is really good, I find it suffocating. It has great projection and is long lasting, but sadly not for me. Also, I don’t find any resemblance to BR540.

Anna7537

On me, this is a combination of scented stationery and cheap laundry detergent. Very, very synthetic, somewhat nauseating and slightly juvenile. Sadly, it also is a powerhouse what comes to lasting and projection.

viktorijavla

I agree with @hellebelle. Really smells like a collab of Pfizer and MFK.
Thanks to the hype, during the lockdown I got Burberry Her and Her Intense. Wore them for days, weeks, tried to like them.
I just cannot with this scent profile. EDP was okay, but the atomiser got congested and started leaking. So I began using Her Intense. Smells like cherry cough pastilles :(

Gellert77

Love the first burst of this scent! Lovelylovely berries and sweet freshness.

The middle can be a bit too much, I would suggest spraying somewhere lower than the neck, that way you'll get wifs of the scent but won't be overwhelmed by it. I suspect the benzoin makes the middle quite heavy. Still, on me the Intense is less cloying than the original so I prefer the Intense.

Returns into freshness before fading away.

Lovely bottle; beautiful colours that are quite appropriate for a fall scent.

I own Coach Wildrose as well and these too are similar copying one another at different points as the scent developes. Intense is - as the name suggest - a more intense version with better longevity and depth. Wildrose is the more lighter version, more approrite for everyday use or to be used on a day off. Personally I like them both and think that is useful to have them both.

I have only tested Baccarat Rouge 540 once and being almost anosmic to it cannot really say anything of how Burberry Her Intense compares to it, except of course that I can actually smell the Intense and like what I smell.

Lucky to have found a bottle at a reasonable price, this scent seems to be disappearing fast. Also, quite content with my 30ml, I only need two sprays (on clothes) to be sweetly scented for a full day.

kissabelle

Burberry Her EDP is a berry sweet juicy spray with some musk. It's extremely fruity. Did not like it enough to buy a bottle.
Burberry Her intense is berry and sticky sweet with a bit more warmth from the amber.
To compare the 2, I prefer the original EDP.

If it's any comparison at all, I have not smelled BR540 before so not sure of the similarities. But I LOVE Ariana Cloud scent profile and I have now concluded I don't like Burberry Her and the flankers.

angiemats133

I love Burberry Her, but the intense version is not worth it.
A saleswoman recommend this version of Burberry her to me because she thought I would love it based on my taste in fragrances so I tried it on my skin for the rest of the day. From the first 15min and for the following 5 hours that I had it on it smelled like synthetics, plastic bag or cheap fresh fruity chewing gum. Plus , it gave me a headache. Please just go straight for the original Her , ignore this!

**** Based on my experience, but maybe in another's woman skin will smell nice. Just try it first.

henjos

Smells like VS Vanilla Lace and the bottle reminds me of one of the versions too

candyxoxo589

This used to be my favourite scent in grade 10. It's a pretty light, powdery, strawberry scent. It's somewhat clean and after I bit I don't really smell it on me. I like it though, lasts me a couple hours and it's a crowd pleaser. So, there's nothing really to hate about it, but I just wish that it lasts better on me.

hellebelle

It’s like Pfizer hired Frankie Kurks to compose the flavoring for a batch of new and improved Robitussin®. Awesomely odious!

Discontinued? I’m positively shocked!

Shaina87

I really enjoy Her intense. The opening has a very sweet, almost medicinal, cherry. To me it's a very dark and juicy cherry. I also get quite a bit of blackberry on my skin. Then the jasmine shows up but it's definitely in the background. It gives it a slight creaminess. Once it dries down the benzoin really makes it beautiful! It becomes this warm, sweet and creamy cherry with a slight hint of juicy blackberry. I love this during fall and winter. The original Her is the one I reach for in spring and summer. It's a bright, fresh berry and is also very sweet.

oceanorchid

I'm so sad this is discontinued. I don't like Her, but Intense was just perfect.

Nocciola23

Stunning. Juicy fruit opening and then a sherbet fizz before ending with a cloud of Baccarat Rouge 540.
Another gorgeous Kurkdjian perfume.

b.a.denney

CoffeeandScents:
I too struggle with wearing any of the Burberry Her lineup. I have Burberry Her edp and the edt, and I totally get what you mean about notes smelling artificial. Especially the strawberry note in Her. I just got the Burberry Her Elixir today, and it's just "okay", but I'm still getting that artificialness that is so off-putting. I know the Intense version has been discontinued, and I'm definitely too afraid to blind buy it. Your review made me realize it's not a safe blind buy feeling as I do about the rest of the Burberry Her lineup. Ironically, I enjoy Cloud by Arianna Grande.

Chinello23

My love... I have returned to wax poetic about her because she's being discontinued. You bet I stockpiled two bottles I never want to be without it. I've always thought this was delicious, but in an ambivalent sort of way. My love for this perfume is INTENSE and has grown and grown over the time I've had it. When you catch it in the air it's like a trail of the most saccharine, fruity EXPENSIVE bubblegum. Sooo delicious, sweet and warm. If I've gone a little while without smelling it, and use it - I fall in love all over again!

This is the pink ruffles, pearl necklaces, satin bows, ruddy blush, rococo kitten heels in perfume form. Once I run out I am going to miss it so much.

Perfumeluva1744

This is on FragranceNet.com, if interested :-)

Meekz0411

WTF am i getting fakes this was a powder bomb on paper and on me. I couldn't wash it off

PlatMik

This was awful for me, smelled great on paper, as soon as I got it on skin it was just a less sweeter version of the EDP which I didnt mind, but as it dried down it started smelling as playdoh so much I couldnt take it and had to scrub it off.

Was hard to scrub off, so it is pretty strong in that aspect

luisgoncalves.72

Fresh fruity blast at the beginning. Drydown is ambery, sweet and still floral. 8/10

Bt4u2

Sprayed it on my wrist in the store, first sniff I didn't like it at all, thought I would never buy it, smelled like strong cherry alcoholic drink. I put it down and went trying other fragrances, but as it dried down a little on my skin it turned into something mesmerising and I fell in love with it. This perfume is like a good wine, the longer it sits the better it gets. On the very last drie down i did get that BR 540 vibe so I can understand why people find it similar, but to me this is completely different scent and not a dupe of it. It's sweet, feminine fragrance that warms your heart 🙂

Coffeeandscents

This is my favorite from the Burberry Her line, this is the thickest and creamiest and sweetest. BUT there is still something artificial in all of the Burberry Her scents that I can’t quite get past to wear it.

unvillage

I'm already a sucker for the original, and I don't know why I didn't try this sooner. This is honestly a gem for the colder days when you feel like the original would be too light. The addition of cherry really elevates the fragrance and gives it depth, but the familiar "airiness" from the OG is still there, and I really love that. I honestly think it's worth owning both the original and the intense.

townson

Like a bag of lollies 🍭 In love 🥰

ReneeJoubert

This is simply the BEST perfume ever !! Think cherries with caramelised butter and sugar. I also understand it has been discontinued. What a calamity !!!

seliko

wow, immediately, straight up candy. i already think that burberry’s her line is rather juvenile, not in a bad way but in a young teenager-y way so for me to wear them i would need to be in a certain mood. i get the juicy berries without losing the candy aspect. burberry her in the background but the main character is that extremely chewy candy with jam filling inside. if you’re into such scents this is a match! it stays longgg and has great projection, with every movement of my arm i got a whiff of sweet candy.

scentine

So far the only one out of the bunch that manages to find a balance between the sweetness and the aspects that in BR540 translate into wet band aids and industrial sanitizer. Don't be fooled by the notes listed here, as some of these notes are simply approximations (red fruits isn't an actual note), and the list is definitely incomplete. There's clearly a core idea that Kurkdjian has enjoyed working with and developing throughout the process of creating these fragrances as there's an obvious correlation between BR540, BR540 Extrait, Burberry Her and Her Intense. Her and Her Intense being reimaginations of the original idea into something with more mass appeal. Out of the four it's in my opinion Her Intense that manages to find a balance between the things that Kurkdjian set out ot express without going too far in one direction.

The perceived saltiness in Her Intense remains only strong enough without it becoming too metallic and wet-smelling. Similarly the sweetness is such that it can be perceived as salted caramel, rather than a thick sugary syrup. Smelling this, floral and fruity definitely aren't the first words that come to mind. Takes some getting used to, but I find that it can be oddly comforting. I'm beginning to really like and enjoy this. Longevity is extremely good, and on fabric lasts for several days. More of a cold weather fragrance definitely.

AnaMaria97

This is a strawberry bubblegum version of Bacarrat 540.
Opens with a strong liquorice note (maybe the benzoin) then softens out to be more powdery.
It’s not my usual type of scent, but I bought a discounted damaged bottle and I do find myself reaching for it for certain occasions for something fun and girly.
I smell 540 and dupes everywhere I go recently, and I think this is a nice variation without the metallic vibe
Not great performance performs like a body mist

araminternet

I got this because I’ve had my eye on it for a while and heard it was about to be discontinued. It opens very spicy and warm on me, it took some getting used to to be honest. I don’t get any fruit or berry notes until some time has passed, it gets much sweeter and a little powdery during the dry down (which I love). I don’t get much of the jasmine, just sugary spicy amber. The benzoin is very obvious so if that’s not your thing stay clear. I wanted something sweet but more adult and this is it! Feels like I’m swept into a warm amber cloud of fruit and spice. 8/10

heatshimmr

Yeah, this is cough syrup. No thanks

applepiejama

This is the coziest scent I own. So gorgeous, mixes perfectly with my skin.
To me, this is a feel good scent. More of a fall, winter type of scent but generally works well on days that aren't too hot and rather 'stay-at-home' days.
Personally, I love putting on two sprays of this after I shower at night and lay in a freshly covered bed.
Immediately gets me in a sleepy, wholesome mood. Feels like a hug in a bottle.
This is also office-friendly, and an absolute compliment getter. The longevity is insane, I smell this on my clothes for weeks.
All in all a 10 out of 10 scent in my experience, and if it really got discontinued I'd be SO sad, because sadly I cannot stock up on as many bottles as I would like to!

Gracaroli

Sweet, warm and cozy berry perfume for a good price. For me longevity on the skin is about 4-5 hours (smells better on the skin) and I would say sillage is intimate-moderate, but it could be better if you overspray 🤔 but I just can't do that, because then is tooo sweet 😬 I have Bacarat rouge, and I would say it is not a dupe...but Her has that MFK vibe, maybe it's because of benzoin.

Vivus.Laszlo

This is just one of the best perfume ever. Very similar to BR 540. Soo much more better than Burberry Her.

mermaidylady

Well, it happened. I got a compliment from my husband. He hasn't commented on my many different perfumes in probably years. But this evening, as I was washing dishes, he came up behind me, buried his nose in my neck, inhaled deeply and said, "You smell nice." Lol! It might not seem like much but trust me, it's huge. I think he truly dislikes all my favorites (Mon Guerlain & flankers, L'interdit flankers, etc.) but Burberry Her Intense is a winner. It's growing on me, too. It's cold and rainy today, and this fragrance developed beautifully in this weather. Looks like I'm keeping her!

herculano

Opens with POWERFUL Cherry jolly rancher/cough syrup.

Specifically cherry, NOT strawberry.

I HATE cherry scented anything. I’ve hated it since I was born. I’ve hated it since I was in the womb. (However, I adore strawberry)

This is a beautiful fragrance for those who love cherry.
It’s objectively good. Especially the dry down, which even I like, despite my detesting the lingering cherry.

But no way, for me. Nope.

mermaidylady

Blind bought this when I heard it's getting discontinued. I sampled and liked the OG Burberry Her, but not enough to buy a full bottle. It felt too youthful and girly. There's too much of a strawberry shampoo vibe going on. I bought this in hopes that it's a warmer, deeper, more mature version of Her. I'd say it definitely is. But, all the criticisms in the reviews below also apply. It certainly has a strong berry cough syrup scent in the opening. I understand the Redbull comparisons too. That does fade away after awhile, and becomes something more powdery. Not "baby's diaper" powdery as one reviewer stated, but definitely powdery. The OG Her does not smell powdery to me. The smell of berries is still prominent in the midnotes of Her Intense, just more "berries and cream" and less cough syrup at this stage.

I'm not sure yet if I'm pleased with this as a blind buy, but I'm going to give it a chance. Waiting to see how I feel about the drydown, which was my favorite part of the OG Her. I sprayed this a few hours ago and the fragrance is still in the middle stage (berries and cream and powder). This smells nothing like Cloud or BR540 to my nose. This one does remind me a bit of D&G The Only One. Not that they smell entirely similar, but that they both have a very thick, syrupy-sweet opening and a powdery undercurrent in the midnotes.

Update: I do like the drydown. I get little whiffs of that BR540-ness in the air, like I do with the drydown of the OG Her. However, you have to wait a long time to get there. Like 6 hours. So, if you can stand smelling like a jagerbomb for the better part of your day in order to get to the delicious base, this perfume is for you!

saccitygrl01

I really like this perfume. Nothing groundbreaking but well done.
When first sprayed I get a bit of fruit notes but its fleeting. On dry down I get mainly a warm cashmere/vanilla with a bit of floral--similar to all the fragrances on the market right now. Its very well blended so its difficult to pick out the notes in this fragrance beyond vanilla/cashmere.
A good candidate for a blind buy. Reminded me of LVEB when I first sprayed but not as overpowering and not as sweet. On dry down it reminded of bare vanilla from Victoria's secret--warm cozy classy. As for performance it lives up to its name. Good but not overwhelming sillage and lasts at least 4 hours on my skin when applied normally.

smellgewd1

Better than the original. The original is too playful, too much berries but this one has more depth and not as sweet as the original. For me, this is more versatile as i can wear it anytime from day to night.
Too bad it's discontinued.

inna.pitargue

panic bought this bc i heard its being discontinued 😩

sammysilver678

I personally love this more than the original. You still get that warm fruity scent but this one is more... Well... intense. It doesnt last long on me unfortunately or else this would be my signature.

finnlinn

Bought this in 100ml because its being discontinued. I already have and love the original version of Her. Biggest difference is Her original has a strong strawberry smell upon spraying it, while Her Intense smells like the fruits in the 4 red fruits tea mixed with freezing cold air.
Her intense also has a stronger baccarat rouge vibe on immediate application than the original has. The original only smells like baccarat after you've worn it for 4-5 hours.

Her intense isn't as sweet as the original, but only by a little bit. So don't buy unless you like sweet and fruity fragrances. My mother and grandmother find these sickening, but I love them so it's all down to what you personally prefer.

poppyetpear

Yeah, no. I would never wear this in public. It low key smells like a freshly powdered baby diaper🤷🏽♀️

**also, I don't know how in the world people are getting BR540 or Cloud out of this. My nose must be broke🤣

poppyetpear

I prefer the og Her much more. Her Intense smells dusty and mature the way Hanae Mori edp or D&G Pour Femme smell. Like fr, dusty, y'all.

Deppaholic

This is a little more deeper than the Her. Neither one is a fragrance for me tho. I do not think Her, or Her Intense smell anything at all like BR540. Having said that, it is pleasant enough, and I did pass the Her onto my daughter. She hasn't commented yet. I kept the Her Intense. It's a good fragrance if you like it. No disses, just not for me. It doesn't make me sick or give me migraines which I suffer from w/o fragrance. So that's a plus point if you would like to try. I love gourmand fragrances too, and sadly this one was neither here nor there for me. I'd add that to me this is a winter fragrance. Get a sample first, I know better.

juliannmay

I absolutely love the original Burberry Her so I thought I’d automatically love the Intense version. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Though they are both very sweet, but the intense version was just too syrupy sweet smelling for me. Theres not too much difference between the two to have both in your collection. I’ll continue with my original Her and layer other fragrances if I want a little more depth

fairymeist

This is sooo good and waxy

The opening I have to say is a bit medicinal like some people say, but then it quickly settles into a sweet waxy and berries syrup, later on it becomes more of a sweet lipstick scent, it is soo good ❤️👌🏾

Clara_03

This perfume promises so embotle London rainy days and it somewhat does. I wear it on rainy days, it's like a routine for me now. However I must say that once I finish it, I'm most likely not gonna re-buy it, it's sweet but the benzoin adds a weird ending that I personally find too strong and doesn't allow me to embrace the sweetness of this perfume completely. It's a good, strong, long-lasting perfume perfect for women who like to play the ''I'm sweet but at the same time hard to get so I become strong'' type of game. I'm not that kind of girl, therefore, this perfume ain't 100% for me.
Also, someone told me it reminded them of their mother's perfume which happens to be Carolina Herrera Good Girl.

angejay

So delightful and playful. Just love wearing this fragrance. It's over priced I think though

Ab.phil

Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy this perfume. I adore the original Burberry Her so I thought I would enjoy this version but it’s just not for me. Initially it smells pretty similar to the original, but the berry on the initial spray is much darker than the strawberry in the original. After the dry down though it was really warm and spicy to my nose which is just not something I’m looking for in a fragrance. I will say the projection and lasting power in a single spray is impressive, much better than the original. I think if you enjoy spicier florals this would be a good one to try, it was just a little much for my nose.

davidlong13

It is true about it being discontinued 😔

Burberry her intense is a gorgeous fruity scent. Such a good compliment getter. I thought this would be better in the winter months. How wrong I was. This shines better in the warmer months.

All in all, a beautiful perfume. Lasting power and sillage is moderately strong.

violetstorm

unfortunately this did not work for me :( i enjoy her & her blossom but the intense just smelled like a floor cleaner that was scented with a cheap caramel scent............this scent went in the nasty category for me lol also its very heavy & musty smelly with a thick lingering caramel scent (i know caramel is not in it but it does give that vibe) (oh & it kind of reminds me of viktor & rolfs bon bon but in the bad girl way - bon bon is the sweet girl going on a fun date while burberry intense is the bad girl hooker trying to pick up a date lol )

hellohedera

I’m torn because I like the opening of Burberry Her, but the dry down of Intense better. In the end I purchased a bottle of Intense.

Like others have said it is reminiscent of a cherry cough syrup at first but that quickly goes away and you pick up on the berries. A boozy berry. In the eventual dry down, it becomes warm and caramely and addictive. I don’t reach for this often as it’s a little heavier than what I usually enjoy, but I do like this in my collection.

Alicjade

The best thing ever, so sweet and delicious on my skin, I’ve received SO many compliments about this fragrance.

Chinello23

Beautiful, sweet. Smells like expensive candy. Coquettish and sexy.

Not a blind buy at all, especially at that price. Try it on your skin before you judge it - smelled just okay on perfume paper, but delicious and warm on my skin. My friend couldn't stop gushing about it!

Cherrybubble

I am not a fan of this. I smell a weird creamy plastic rubbery note. This strong plastic smell never develops, its on the top and stays with me for hours until washed off.
I can smell berries but I couldn't pick out a specific berry. Zero jasmine, in fact no florals here at all. IMO no similarities between this flanker and the original which I quite enjoyed.

sweet_teenagedream

This is the original, with more mixed berries and benzoin added to it, even more sweeter and warmer than the original and it last just a tad bit longer. I preferred the intense in the beginning, but now i´m absolutely in love with the Burberry Her and its my favorite of the two.

golbraykh

first off let me say, the atomizer is amazing and i wish all fragrances had one like it. you can press lightly for a short mist or press down all the way for a much longer mist.

i first smelled her intense in store on a tester strip and fell in love, so i got a bottle; unfortunately, i couldn’t stand it on my skin. it smells of artificial bubblegum and cotton candy, and honestly gives dental office. it’s pretty linear and remains this way throughout wear. it does last long so i’ll give it that, but i’ll definitely be returning my bottle.

hola gigi

It ends up giving a fluffy spun sugar vibe after a while (similar to Baccarat Rouge 540 & Cloud 2.0). The nose behind this perfume tells you all need to know! I see no reason to own this if you already have one of those two fragrances. However, this price point is better than MFK & this bottle is more chic than Cloud.

Hojoko46584

Very sweet. Smell like berry, bubble gum and scented eraser. Does not smell high end or sophisticated to me personally. Can be a bit coy and lack of personality. But not a bad smell.

NDStars

First blast of musky sweet vanilla with bright clear berries and pink pepper. It feels very sweet and turns juvenile after a while, like a Bath and Body Works spritz. Something a teenage girl would like. Not necessarily a bad thing if you're looking for a pleasant breezy sweet summer fruit scent with no depth or weight. Feminine and best for hot weather.

blake.lee

Smells like someone burned Miss Dior Cherie. I might like it, might not. I dunno.

Dreamdott

Walked into sephora to smell this and WOW! out of all the fragrances I smelled today this one left a print. It's fruity amber. A little on the warmer side. Now that I've smelled this I definitely understand what red fruits means because I get that with a warmer jasmin. It reminds me of Christmas with the red fruitnote but also remindsme of a really nice vacationon an island in the evening. Not sure what benzoin is but I get all the top and middle notes. Its SO simple in terms of notes but its sooooooo good! Definitely evening wear but im sure you could pull it off in the morning too! I'm definitely purchasing this for Christmas.

Edemay

A bubblegum explosion a first then dries down to be quite musky with the berry smell accompanying
So so similar to the original just more bubblegum/berry smelling
I think the strong berry smell may become nauseating over time because its so intense and reminds me of shisha

hannha_Banana

I was initially supposed to buy the original one, Burberry Her, however I'm ecstatic that I bought this Intense flanker by mistake, since it's definitely my new favorite fragrance!

I straight up got the berry top notes at the very first spray. But about 5 -10 minutes or so in, it burned down to this combination with berries and a sweet, deep vanilla, which is most likely coming from the benzion. An hour later, the berry scent is somewhat gone and you're left with this beautiful and delicious vanilla fragrance.

I'd also say that the longevity is long lasting, as 3 sprays lasted about 6-7 hours on me. After that, I'd have to get closely to my wrist to smell it.

The only "con" I'd have to give this perfume, is that I wasn't able to smell the jasmin. Which really isn't an issue for me, considering my username ;), since it already smells soo good.

Overall I'd say Burberry Her Intense smells like a naturally deep and sweet vanilla, topped with some fruitiness and will therefore be given a 9.5/10 by me. :)

Ms.gwenmarie

Unfortunately not for me. Literally had to scrub it off as soon as I got the chance. Straight up smells like a candy store. Too much of the sweet syrupy smell that u get in the candy store of sugar in the air.
And it is headache inducing.

AuraAngelMuse

For me this smells like powdery strawberry and bubblegum. It's really sweet. It lasts all day and projects moderately for me. The dry down smells very similar to Cloud by Ariana Grande. They both have this plastic or newspaper like quality that I can smell underneath all the goodness and it's slightly weird but it's perfectly tolerable for me. All in all I would say I like this one better than the original Burberry Her, as the oakmoss and masculine aspects of that one are stronger for me. Though I do think they smell almost the same. BH Intense just feels sweeter and more bubblegum-like.

Anomis_di_Fresia

Sweet sugary berries drenched in herbal balsamic delight... I want to bathe in it, it's so good!... oh dear...

ladolcemae

I already wrote about this perfume but I want to do this again. Yes it starts off syrupy. Yes it's mega sweet. And yes, it's one of the best perfume I've ever smelt. Lingers for hours, smells like vanilla cake, Haribo packs, money bags and sex. It lasts on me, like most amber-based perfumes do. The dry down is my favourite part, it feels safe, soft, seductive, the hoe melting with the wifey. My favourite smell.

xoxochrissyyy

So this might sound weird but this smells like a seductive, sexy cough syrup 🤭 it's syrupy, sweet, and sexy. BUT, this lasts maybe 30 minutes on me. My husband hates perfumes but smelled this and said "whatever you're wearing smells good" and he NEVER compliments perfumes lol so I'm very bummed this doesn't last. Its expensive, so for the price of this I need it to last long.

loliirain

This smells like syrup! I kept thinking it smelled familiar, like some kind of lollipop. But then it finally hit me, Luden’s cherry cough drops! I used to pop those like candy when I was a kid lol. The memories. The perfume has excellent longevity and projection though. It’s a much thicker, denser scent than the original Burberry her. The OG is an airy sugary sweet strawberry, this is syrupy sweet cherry/blackberry. They don’t smell alike to me at all. And not even close to br540 in my opinion.

Chrysi 🌸

This perfume is super syrupy! At the beginning till the end you can smell the red fruits and the benzoin. Those two notes are the dominant ones. Very very sweet. To me, it smells kinda cheap. Not a safe blind buy at all. Sillage is super strong. Appropriate for winter and autumn only. If you love sickly sweet perfumes then this might be the one for you.

Charrise

Smells wonderful right up to your nose but it doesn't pack much of a punch for me. Starts out fruit my but mellows down to a subtle soft sultry scent. I can smell it on my clothes the next day.

violetbelle

On me this is strawberry-vanilla-bubblegum lipstick. Grown-up girlie at its best. Linear and irresistible.

CHERRYLEIDY

I love this scent but i can only wear it to bed. Because it does not last. Ive had 540 and this smells very close. But dont waste your money. Thirty minutes to an hour and its gone.

blacksesame

After reading comments about Burberry Her original version, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of Lush store scent when I smelled this. I guess the soapy aspect here reminds of the overall smell of soaps and baking-soda-based bath bombs. But because of the prominent sweet-fruity notes, I guess it's similar to... Snow Fairy scent from Lush? Maybe some other fruity product from there, I haven't visited it in a while.

Controlledbyscent31

I used to hate this scent till I smelt it on a hot summers day and had to test it, I don't enjoy burberry her as its like a really synthetic strawberry air freshener, but this I like and out of all the br540 dupes I much prefer this.
On my skin it doesn't last long maybe 3 hours but on clothes it lasts a very long time, I would wear this in the autumn in the daytime in the UK but also on warm days In the summer.
Off to purchase a 100ml bottle.

Bow Nuttaa

Compared to Burberry her, this is more masculine. Her is a happier and sweeter scent at the opening, though they both dry down as beautifully. I prefer Her to Her Intense, but they layer very well together to get more dense and longevity. A sophisticatedly sweet treat.

Atomikbomb_

I do love the BR540/Cloud DNA, I'll be clear. And this has a bit of that going on in the drydown, but you need to wait a good amount of time.

A cherry cough syrup accord really envelops the opening experience until about an hour after application. It's very medicinal to me, and is thickly dense fruit, not a fleeting set of top notes. I really dislike artificial and super sweet cherry, and so I found that this isn't my taste. If you do like cherry though, this could be your bag of chips! :) I expected more of a berry scent, and so this disappointments me.

After an hour it does settle into the original Her/Cloud/BR540 thing that some of us enjoy, but I find that this is less so, and almost has a spiced vanilla thing happening as well (maybe that's the benzoin in here, but it doesn't smell like real benzoin to me). It's not annoying to at this point, but it still maintains a bit of the cherry note and I very much prefer it's cousin fragrances over this one, even including In The Stars, and that "dupe" is far, far more affordable.

I think this is fine if you're into cherry, and want some like the original Her, but less like BR540. The longevity and sillage is great. I just don't personally care for it.

juicypearxo

Gross, smells like a grape cough syrupy bubblegum mess. No thanks, couldn’t wait to scrub it off my hands

Anitanita.

Pink bubble gum, that's it.Lasting power is extremely poor for intense fragrance,on my skin it last 2 hours .
Big No from me.

amr99

Yes! Strawberry air freshener and quite medicinal smelling

TeacupBreaker

This smells exactly like a strawberry car air freshener.

sarahshere1999

my go to scent!

Ivaz

Just amazing! It is sweet, but refreshing and dreamy at the same time. I was looking for ages for the scent like this, I tried D&G Pour Femme Intense, which opens with berries but after a while it's just sweet... With Burberry Her Intense even after 7-8 hours I could still smell those berries. Jasmin and benzoin, which develop over time, definitely give it more feminine character, so I wouldn't say it's girly. More like - charming.

vulgarsaint

I tried it out of scientific curiosity, as Francis Kurkdijan has a very special place in my heart and although BR 540 is not my favourite fragrance, the comparisons intrigued me. So is Her Intense a more high end dupe than Cloud?

Not in my opinion.

Don’t get me wrong, they do have a similar vibe, I’m guessing it might be the jasmine that is present in both. However while BR 540 is very much unisex, Her Intense just reads extremely feminine. Or girly to be exact. The fruitiness makes it extremely young to me, the initial berry blast, though juicy and pleasant, reminds me of something I’ve worn as a child. Naturally we shouldn’t judge the scent by its opening so I let it sit.

After around half an hour I felt a strong urge to wash it off. It started smelling oddly familiar, not necessarily nice. I started getting stale redbull. I asked my coworkers and they all said the same thing. The berries turned into a cheap energy drink on my skin and I couldn’t wait for the fragrance to fade into oblivion.

As this one is the Intense version I expected quite a good performance, but the longevity was rather moderate, around 4 hours. The projection was very strong throughout those 4 hours though, I’ll give it that.

Baccarat Rouge gives me brown sugar and wood. The wood, vanilla, jasmine and amber harmonise beautifully and create the most perfect balance on your skin. Burberry Her Intense on the other hand just screams strawberry and to my nose, doesn’t even come close to the sophistication of BR 540 and is not a worthy dupe. Cloud smells very similar, a bit sweeter and less “expensive”, but a good replacement if you love the scent but not the price.

As a stand alone perfume, without comparing it to Baccarat Rouge it’s still not my favourite. I enjoy the original Her much better. The Redbull dry down was extremely weird, but I guess that’s on my ph levels.

MaxieF

Intense is a little bit sweeter, less tart. Still very long lasting. To me this smells more like cherry chapstick or something artificial from childhood. The original smells like artificial strawberry/blueberry from childhood. I had a make up pallet when I was little with finger paint eyeshadows and they smelled like this. The original is still my favorite but this is really nice and different enough to keep. Intense is more powdery and yes there is something more mature in the dry down but I would still consider this a very playful fragrance. There are no fragrances that smell exactly like this. Maybe in the same family but still..it's really unique. Intense does not smell like Baccarat. Baccarat is more masculine leaning. Cloud smells like Baccarat.

20

This smells delicious!

I bought this on a whim (blind buy) as Burberry fragrances never let me down and I was so glad I did. The fruity berry smell is prominent in the first 15 mins on my skin then they quickly dry down to jasmine and benzoin. On my skin, it smells more like a mix of creamy vanilla and some woodiness but I guess that can be attributed to the benzoin.

Luckily for me, the dry down is my favourite part of this fragrance. It's not a boring vanilla scent, it retains some of the floral freshness from the jasmine and has a faint woody scent which separates this from a lot of other vanilla based fragrances within my collection.

This lasts a good 8-9 hours on me but I spray on clothes as well as skin. It projects nicely for about 4 hours, I have had compliments passing by people at 9am though I sprayed it at 5am. Despite this, it is never overbearing. I occasionally ask people around me for feedback when wearing a new fragrance as I wouldn't want to offend anyone and there were no complaints regarding the strength of this perfume. Personally, I think it is best suited for autumn and spring. During these seasons, I seem to get the best performance.

This was a surprisingly great release from Burberry and is definitely worth trying for all ages.

T.03

i feel delicious wearing this, i can't get enough of it. such a gorgeous, sweet, yummy smell. my favourite perfume

MrAbbas

I don't see the connection with Burberry her. This is only a creamy somehow fruity sweet thing that is inoffensive but I don't find any baccaraty style in it. Very good fragrance but somehow generic and dry down I am not a big fan of.

RSB28

Sweet and airy and light and comforting, but at the same time I don’t think I would repurchase because it just doesn’t thrill me, it’s so inoffensive and innocent. This wouldn’t be amiss on a 10 year old girl. It really reminds me of something that I cannot put my finger on, feel like it was something from my childhood. Overall a pleasant scent, but I think there are better offerings from Burberry.

FloralJasmine

I was initially supposed to buy the original one, Burberry Her, however I'm ecstatic that I bought this Intense flanker by mistake, since it's definitely my new favorite fragrance!

I haven't played around with this one enough to write a legit review, but it's worth mentioning I tried it on in Ulta the other day and was complimented within 5 minutes of leaving the store.

AshleyRaelyn

I purchased this from Ulta yesterday and I am obsessed. I am not big on fruity scents but this is fruit with a hint of marshmallow. I think it sits pretty close to the skin but I love it. This will be my go to day time scent.

spankyb

Just like the original Her, it’s missing something. You will probably like it if you enjoy the ones it’s being compared to. Still on after exfoliating in the shower and left behind a woodsy scent. I’ll be passing on this, but that’s just personal. I would recommend this to someone just getting into fragrances, though.

I think it would be nice to layer Her with Her Intense.

Update: Can serve as, “I don’t want to scare him off” perfume.

Update 2: wore on a night out and had a guy friend smell my wrist. He said he smelled that on a few girls the night before. Which would probably mean he smelled a mix of BR540, Cloud and Her. There’s an uncanny familiarity between those to a untrained nose— that is nothing to deny.

JessVanEgg

So far, this is my favorite fragrance. When shopping for my first perfume, I smelled this one and instantly fell in love with it, as well as my partner. It smells strongly of berries (mostly blackberries to me) with a nice hint of vanilla from the benzoin.

At first, the smell is strong enough to perfume the whole room. The first time wearing it, I got in a car right after and had to open the window a bit. It will smell strongly for quite a few hours, but I can still faintly smell it on my skin after 12 hours.

It's a solid 9.5/10 from me!

sassa7

This is way better than the OG Her, London Dream and the Blossom. Her is more fresh with the strawberry, more youthful than this, but I need something more syrupy, deeper, smokier. To my nose this escapes the Cloud/In the Stars/ Baccarat Rouge vibe in the opening. Yes it has that DNA, but I detect it later. Its very potent also, even after a shower I can smell it, but thats when I smell more of the Baccarat Rouge side of it. This is alot like a tanning oil scent, very beachy and deep. In my opinion its opening is very reminiscent of The One by D&G due to their balsamic, kinda smoky and deep - sweet character. It is lighter than The One tho (which is heavier and with the vetiver it smells kinda like a greek church to me). Not dupes, just same genre.
Her Intense smells like there are more notes than the ones listed on here, as if theres mandarin orange here just like there is in Burberry Her, and in The One which also contains jasmine, and the ambery vetiver smoky base is kinda similar to the benzoin here. After 1 hr on my skin its projection is fresher like Her and BR 540, but when I smell up close I still detect the beautiful resin sweet benzoin. Its opening is smoky, balsamic, syrupy and with intense red fruits, I absolutely love it, wish this was the essence of the perfume. Its benzoin (my fav base note) adds an oriental, smoky touch to it in the opening and for the first one hour which I wish lasted longer.

I forgot to say that Her is already better than Cloud imo, more dimensional, more feminine, and its opening brings me images of a retro outdoor setting by the pool and tanning beds, so Her Intense amplifies this feeling. If Im gonna have something like Baccarat Rouge 540 it better be this one! I have a tiny bottle of Cloud that I never wear anymore, and I own In the Stars which comes off more herbal with the borage so I like In the Stars more than Cloud. I wore Her Intense today in 93 degree weather while doing heavy yard work and it still smelled amazing. It actually made me buy the whole The One line (EDP, EDT and L'eau) cuz I realize how much I like intense sweet balsamic scents.

SuperSueChick

Love.

ceeceelee

To the poster Anastasia Ag from Swizterland. Unfortunately, under bright lights, body heat from being in so many peoples hands and finally so much oxygenation of the perfume from so many testers using can change a scent. Sometimes just a little, sometimes, like you've just experienced ~ a lot. If it's an expensive perfume that I'm going to invest $300-$500 or more in, I always ask for a new tester to be opened. It's about 50-50 as to who'll do it, but if they don't, I won't buy. A less expensive perfume, salespeople never will. Not that whatever you paid was insignificant, no amount of money spent on a nonessential item ever is, but some people don't think the way I do. Usually though, your scent will eventually match what you remember, if nothing else than with the introduction of oxygen when you spray each time. When I get a new frag home, I take it outside, spray a few times on my hand just out of curiosity and then put it up for a couple weeks. That usually does it for me. My son, a chemist, explained it all to me in very technical terms, but............I can't remember and the way I explained was the only way I could get it.🙃

StinkyTinky

This...is...incredible! 😍❤️I’m so glad I went with my gut that I needed something of this structure in my collection. I won’t disagree with the cough syrup consistency (though the scent is not medicinal to my nose) this is the definition of syrupy berry, thick, rich. Nothing getting in the way of it either. It’s straight to the point. It stands in such contrast with my natural smell I can identify it ALL DAY LONG! Hallelujah! As much as I love those “your scent but better- scents” they get lost in my natural smell of cupcakes and daydreams (kidding of course). But truly when I think of this scent- it’s the texture of a wax letter seal- its a liquified syrupy texture, then hardens and becomes sticky. This is a super sweet, warmed berry smell. I can see people saying it smells artificial.
But no human truly smells like cupcakes, or bubblegum, or honey, or grass. That’s the whole idea behind perfume, right?
If you like natural smells, move to Brazil, don’t pay your utilities, and throw away your deodorant.

foreverine

It has the silage and longevity that I need. The problem is, I hate this fragrance. It so sweet and syrupy for me who generally likes sweet gourmand perfumes. I
The smells reminds me of an older woman who’s a heavy smoker and who likes to overspray heavy perfumes. This is the perfume that she would choose. I tried it twice and I washed my hands immediately afterwards. Yet the smell still lingers and only then it shows the BR 540 DNA.

BatemansFragrances

Baccarat rouge with red cherry/energy drink accord over it.

rubics14

This just smells synthetic, i tried liking it but it was just so unpleasant ... the black berry was just sticking out on the most plasticky way.

jacoiyathomas

This smells like a hooker. No but really, like waxy from cheap lipstick and plastic trash bags with dirty panties. All covered up by a cheap synthetic body spray from the dollar store. Just smells like mistakes 🤣

[email protected]

Although it performes really well, the fregrance is sweeter than any cough syrup. I love sweet perfumes such as Ariana Grande Cloud, Prada Candy, Poison Girl... this one maaaaaybe one spray in the air. 🤣 But, I will give it another try.

aliengunaydin

Ahhh I love this one. I tested this in last summer all day fully wearing for few days in really hot and humid place. At first try on my wrist I thought it smellled lovely but wouldn’t be great wearing on full body bc it gives syrupy vibes and somehow feels something you shouldn’t put on to your skin bc it wouldn’t match with skin chemistry I don’t know if it makes sense. However after putting fully I loved even more. It’s sexy sour sweet cherries also got me compliments and never was cloying even in that hot-humid weather.

Lazarelle

I was skeptical when I read it, but after testing this fragrance for a few days, the review below comparing it to the chaotic contents of a 20-year old's purse is actually spot on. Don't mind having experienced it; wouldn't purchase it now.

But maybe it's not quite as unattractive as that sounds...this scent is a young, fashionable Londoner after a night of clubbing and drinking at a high-end nightclub, where the surroundings and levels of inebriation gradually deteriorate over the course of a night. Or maybe a late teens / 20-something rich girl slumming it somewhere she wouldn't usually be. The scent seems too young to be properly chic, but it's an exact match for aspiring chic dabbling in a bit of early adulthood debauchery. The syrupy berries and benzoin remind me of a rite of passage: alcohol, make-up melting under the club lights and random hookups, with an inevitable nauseous hangover in the morning.

eau de dosa

smells like cherry cough syrup.

GinaDK

It's nice but it just doesn't last. I prefer the original BH to Intense.

Siv7Stars

Berries n musk in a cheapo room spray or car air 'freshener' (they never make a car smell fresh do they? Just bleurgh. If your car smells nasty have it valeted, those things are pointless.) kind of way. Also does veer into that cherry cough medicine vibe others have mentioned. No ta.

Kon-nos91

Burberry Her Intense is the grown up, more mature edition of the original EDP. The kind of synthetic 'strawberry'/cotton candy vibes become more of forest berries. The floral middle notes become less complex and the classic musky base is replaced by benzoin. For sure a more dressy perfume that is more medicinal as most of you mentioned, (sorry but I love medicinal smells as a medical doctor) more sirupy than airy without being something completelly different than the very first edition. Finally a perfume that is what it says it is! (You know the story of EDP & EDT with the same name but totally different composition). All in all, if I had to choose only one edition by a quick sniff, I am 99% sure this would be the Intense one, but as time goes on, I think that the silly-playful-fruity character of the original is unique. The creator-Francis Kurkdjian said that Her is a signature, yes I agree but at the same time is so similar to thousands of perfumes out there, though sillage & lasting power are 10 times better.

imagine your purse after you left it in the car in the hot sun for half the day. you’re 20 years old and your purse is a mess. broken loose cigarettes, vape juice, various cheap lipsticks and glosses. a few crayons. tissues. smashed breakfast bars. some drugs. receipts. condoms. a dried rose from an old corsage. cards from your grandmother you haven’t opened. the whole disaster of your life all tossed about in the bottom of your bag in the car in the heat. that is what Burberry Her Intense smells like.

bdragonfly12345

Just in case this is of use to anyone.....

Having now smelled a majority of the "Reminds Me Of" scents, I will say that (to me) the similarities are to the original "Burberry Her" (except heightened benzoin + muted strawberry in BHI), and "In the Stars" (except tangelo + woody notes instead of berries in ITS).

It holds no resemblance to either the "Baccarat Rouge" EDP or Extrait, nor "Cloud". It's even further away from "Lipstick Fever".

I really enjoy this scent, but I also adore benzoin-heavy scents. If that's not a note you care for, you might want to step away from this perfume. :)

[BTW, if you were thinking of picking this up as a dupe for one of the BR 540s, I would recommend that instead you check out Al Haramain Amber Oud Rouge.]

Sleekie

Smells sickeningly sweet to me :/ cough syrup vibes. Lasted for only like 1h 30min. Dont recommend blind buying. Hit or miss

Burberry Her Intense is one of the best, widely available designer fragrances marketed toward women. Yes, it smells like berry-scented chapstick mixed with perfume, but it somehow works as an everyday fragrance, possibly a signature scent. There have been some comparisons between this fragrance and the popular (yet pricey) BR540, also by Francis Kurkdjian, and I would say that these fragrances are in the same family, but Her Intense is not a dupe for BR540. BR540 is leans floral-aquatic and has a sense of space, while Her Intense is densely-packed. The burnt sugar note is turned down in Her Intense and I’m not picking up any woody notes.

Performance for Her Intense is excellent! I easily get 12+ hours out of one spray. The spray mechanism is one of the best I’ve tried with a fine mist and a wide distribution. Partial sprays are an option, so don’t worry about over spraying if you plan to wear it to work. Sillage is enormous, and I received compliments from one big spray.

If BR540 is a landmark fragrance that will continue to influence popular fragrances over the next decade, then Her Intense is one of the most accessible examples available. Excellent!

lmnsvgz

I can barely smell the original in this one. The original is stronger on the strawberries and definitely a lot fresher. The sweetness and amber in this one make it more generic. There a lot of similarly sweet fragrances that are better.

Mondoplast1988

I am very disappointed with this perfume. For £105 I have much better perfumes with longer lasting power. It's not worth the money. I applied it on the skin at 8am in the morning and at 10am I already didn't feel anything on the skin. A very poor performance! Not happy at all Burberry !

LibraMoon

I very much like the original Her and this one. I will say, I do like this one better, though. This also lasts longer than the original Her, and better sillage. This is more dark fruity. To me, this has a strong, juicy blackberry note, black cherry, with sensual warm amber and soft woods. I don't get much floral in this, and that's partially where it differs from the original. The other difference is this Intense slightly deeper, and stronger.

LMD

First impressions are that this is strong. I don't get any berries but a rather harsh old fashioned "perfumey" smell. It's kind of boozy. I don't know if this is the benzoin as it certainly isn't berries or jasmine. Will update as it progresses.
Edit: Just not for me. I didn't get any berries although it did soften slightly to a vague sweetness. There is a note in it, possibly the benzoin, that is just too harsh for me, it hurt my nose and throat throughout. A case of clashing chemistry unfortunately.

Science&Scents

On paper this is not bad! Definitely BR540 with dark berry/cherry syrup. So maybe it's my skin chemistry because it is a MESS to wear! It instantly becomes almost bitter and definitely medicinal. It's unfortunate since I hear others have an awesome experience with Her Intense. Would not suggest to blind buy for sure!

Aikipy

I am absolutely in love with this fragrance! I have about 8 perfumes in my collection, but this has definitely become my signature scent!

It’s not for people who prefer light, easy fragrances, so be careful and don’t blind buy this, better test it out first! Also, I have read that many found it appalling at first, but then fell in love with it - the same happened to my husband. We went together to Sephora and smelled it. For me, it was love at first sight, he hated it. I ended up not buying it then, but I have to admit I was extremely disappointed because I loved it. Decided to buy it a few months later and he loved it right from the start.

Mila Kibibi

Beautiful fragrance. Not what I expected but I do love the scent. Oddly the dry down on me smells very close to Twilly D’Hermès.

scentbae

The first time I tested this perfume I thought it smelled warm and sweet but strong, over powering even, it stuck in my nose and smelled like medicine. I threw the test strip in my purse and thought that was that, until I opened my purse throughout the day, and the next day, and the next day. My entire purse, my wallet, mask all smelled like this perfume but the scent cooled down and smelled less like medicine and just like cherry, strawberry, vanilla with a hint of floral. I caved went back to the store on day three and bought it.

I highly recommend testing this in the store before buying, the red fruits will either be too much for you and remind you of medicine or you'll love it. It does smell different to me dried down, it holds on to skin and clothes, not something that stays in my face but if i put my sweater to my nose I remember it's there. I saw another comment about it being addicting like it kept calling I felt the same way. I will say I understand the comparisons to cloud but this is more mature and solid with dark red fruits, where as cloud smells fluffy like whip cream and juvenile (not in a bad way I have both and love them).

The bottle is simple, it also has a lengthy spray if you push the nozzle all the way down. Have you used those new Flairosol style spray bottles? Yeah just like that.

lavender_and_teal013

On initial spray, I do get cherry cough syrup that fades into jasmine. It becomes strong jasmine for a while, then I'm guessing the benzoin comes in to kind of warm it and eventually it morphs into a cherry-vanilla sweetness. It does last on me for awhile. I would say this is stronger at the end of the day than the original Her, however I think I prefer the original for it's youthful, brighter qualities. I do like this one, even with the weird cough syrup thing. Definitely try it if you're interested in it. If you already have the original, I do not think it is worth also getting this one as they are kind of similar.
Update: I find my tastes to be changing and I do not like sweet or "gourmand" fragrances, therefore I don't really like this one or the original Her. They are too youthful, too sweet, too "cheap body spray" for me.

JessLH27

I absolutely love Burberry Her Intense and it is quickly becoming one of my most reached for perfumes. I have a 50ml bottle and I will definitely be repurchasing when it's finished. I've seen a few reviews mention it is like sickly cherry cough syrup, I personally don't get that at all - on me it is like mixed berries with a lightly spicy warm vanilla and I think it's absolutely beautiful. Great sillage and long lasting - it is one of my most complimented perfumes (particularly by men) and seems to be noticed hours after spraying. I find it very classy and whenever I wear it I feel good. I think it is most suited to autumn or winter as it carries very well in cold weather and has a warm vibe - I bought it in September though so am yet to try it in really warm weather. Highly recommend for anyone who likes a rich fruity gourmand!

jbeans81

This is tons of cherry on me and almost nothing else. No resemblance whatsoever to Ariana Grande's "Cloud". I actually like it very much, the cherry is very pleasant and feels sophisticated which I would not have expected a cherry smell to be.

KylieBooFace

I'm very disappointed. It smells like cherry cough syrup to me then remains medicinal.

ladolcemae

This is sweet. raspberry lollipop with a touch of cherry sweet... but wealthy. This smells like sugar and money. Burberry always have this posh feeling - my sister said it smelled disdainful and pretentious 😭😭 - with their fragrance but this one is special. Playful, fun, it’s a scent for someone who enjoys each day to their fullest, knowing the world is theirs. Effortless and beautiful.

Edit: got it for xmas and it's addicting, i'm obsessed! sweet, enveloping, hypnotizing. it's fruity the way i love: sexy, edible, rich.

Alinany

I have been using this for a while and I have to say I prefer it over the original Her. The strawberry note was too much for me but this blend is more rounded to my nose, lighter but still very long lasting and easier to wear.

I also have to say that I hated it when I first sprayed it out of the bottle it smelled like what people mentioned it to be a cough syrup. But it was gone quickly and next time I used it it never smelled like it at all. It has little sourness to it as well and I really love the benzoin here. I hated Burberry Her’s dry down, it was very masculine and it didnt match the scent at all. How A strawberry candy scent could have a drydown so masculine. But Her Intense is smooth, the benzoin compliments the scent and gives a clean vanilla effect and it is a good soft blend with slightly sour berries.

It also feels like you dont wear a perfume so if you cant tolerate heavy scents and want something light, easy going but still long lasting and not headache inducing this could be your gem

kkaattjjeess

Love the perfume, purchased it brand new and sealed, but there was quite a lot missing from the bottle, so that's a bit sketchy.

Her Intense is refined and elegant, nothing medicial about it.

SGArt

It was love at first sniff! This reminds me of a berry cake (in a very gooood way). Burberry Her Intense is the most elegant, classy, and chic berry scent i've ever smelled. There's something so comforting about this fragrance. I can't put it into words. When I sprayed this on me it transported me to a place and time that I don't want to leave. The feeling of dejavu is so strong and it gives me so much comfort. I love this perfume!

nika21

This reminds me of pink PEZ candy. I can't really smell much else, it's powdery fruity sweet and a bit tart, no benzoin, but it might be just my skin (or nose). Burberry her is better in my opinion.

beatrix75

On me definitely its the vibe of baccarat r and I love it soo much then its becom much gentle ...after hours an even more baccarat r and on the end the benzoin and light fruit and again I love it

froufroudeluxe

This is definitely one of the more interesting experiences I’ve had with any fragrance.

I blind bought this and hated it at first. It gave me a medicinal cough syrup vibe that made me nauseous and gave me headaches upon headaches. So screechy and synthetic it felt like my senses were being attacked.
But somehow that bottle kept calling my name, asking me to smell it. I hated it, but at the same time it was so addictive and I couldn’t stop smelling it.

And so in about 3 days time this went from being a hate to becoming a solid LOVE.

A musky, berry, benzoin BOMB.
Also, the atomizer on this? Perfection.

Paula73

This was a blind buy. Turns out it was a good blind buy. This to my nose is not a dupe for Baccarat Rouge but instead it reminds me of Paco Rabanne Black XS in the good old days when it had good longevity and good sillage. Having just bought a bottle of Black XS and being disappointed by the performance these days, I'm more than happy to have this little beauty.

AlexandraTroush

Ooh, this one is interesting! Delicious red berries, juicy and playful. I was worried at first, because berries usually turn foul on me, but this one doesn't.

I do think it's geared more towards younger audiences and I will probably only be able to enjoy this in the privacy of my home. I'm happy to use this sample up, but I don't think I'll ever purchase a full size, as cheerful berries aren't what I go for usually and I wouldn't feel in my skin wearing it out.

I find myself constantly sniffing my wrist with this on, though. A fun little guilty pleasure for sure! :)

edit: after wearing this for a couple of days, I can say I quite like it! It's unlike anything else in my collection currently, and I would say it's very modern and unexpected in current trends. Yes berries have been around forever, but something here stops it from going to that juvenile fruity zone and although playful, stays professional and even almost classy. It's the kind of fruity-floral that rich people would wear, it doesn't smell ordinary or mainstream to me. I might consider purchasing a full bottle when I run out of the decant I have, which is a first for me in fruity scents!

golden.signorina

Medicinal smell or like a cough syrup..
I prefer the original one
6/10

rchayes

The original one is better. This one smells like cherry cough medicine.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun: Burberry Her Intense is the perfect Gal Pal

This is a rather linear scent, and l think it is well blended. The fruity aspect is most prominent. This perfume reads as fun, youthful, but not frivolous. It has a level of sophistication to it, but it's not terribly complex either. She's uncomplicated, informal and easy to be around. Always a good time! Do you have someone like that in your life? I sense the the colours white and red when l smell it. A vision of Strawberries and cream.

Imagine a layered trifle pudding sans cake and macarons. Base layer is a small amount of creme brulee (with nutmeg and no yolk) with lots of fresly whipped cream, topped with powdered sugar and/or marshmallow. Next comes a thin layer of berry juice Gelee with many fresh Indian Jasmine petals (jam like concoction). To top off everything, fresh JUICY berries. I think strawberries is most obvious. What to do with this? Take your finger, poke it straight through and smear it on your skin. You might think this is very heavy, or thick sounding, but it's totally not.

There is an underlying Powdery, musky smell l find similar to Body Shop Libertine White Musk. There's a strange mentholated vibe to it as well, when merged with the berries it smells like black currant. I totally get the cough syrup analogy, but the scent is decidedly more powdery and resinous than syrupy.

All in all l enjoy it. I think this works as an everyday casual scent going into to semi-formal occasions (outdoor picnic, luncheon, dinner). Any season this technically works because this is neither too heavy or too light.
Though during the fall and winter l prefer something richer, decidedly more heavy, something in the Oriental family. I admit the fresh fruity aspect might be out of place in those months. I admit if you can get fresh fruit year round, why not just go with it?

I like that it still smells somewhat substantial, I'm definitely wearing a scent here. Approachable, friendly, kind of cute and girly. Has a sweetness to it that's not overbearing. The tartness of the fruits cuts through it.

I am reminded of the House of Givenchy, because a fruity berry accord is their signature in perfumes. However the effect they go for is more dark and smoky. This perfume is more fresh and subtle. Berry theme makes a lot of sense for the brand, BUR-BERRY. The perfume bottle is really quite pretty, like a drinking flask. There is a nice gradation of colour in the glass, from Rose to maroon. A pale beige pink cap and gold accents. This color scheme is quite chic. This perfume is a bit special because l received this as a gift when Corona virus was raging. I find it amusing that the packaging reminds of that time, because the health authority would cordon off communal areas and plaster caution tape over public amenities like chairs, swing sets and the like.

I glam this scent up by first dabbing what remains of this beautiful scented candle Yoshiwara Gardenia which has Gardenia and Tuberose in it. Who can resist a proper floral bouquet ?

bug.juice.184

Seduced by reviews, I blind bought it. Opening is interesting, on the cute side, not bad at all, but developing, after first 30 mins, and dry down is bad, it smells like artificial berries sprinkled with watered down petrol. I think this is a totally synthetic fragrance. Lasts extremly long.

Nooshin (Atghia)

The fruity amber wood!
.
“Burberry Her, as a Gourmand fragrance, steps out of the traditional gourmand family as it is not sticky nor thick. On contrary, it’s airy and light in a unique way. Red and dark berries are at the heart of Burberry Her fragrance family. However, Burberry Her Intense is intensified with notes of blackberries and cedarwood for a subtly intense scent. The Intense version of Burberry Her fills the airy side of the scent without adding any thickness or heaviness” Francis Kurkdjian said.
.
Sweet & savory start by blackberries then burberry’s special floral sign as Jasmine in heart. Finally a woody, amber base. This part has some similarity to MFK BR 540. The image of burnt caramel inside a pan and the sensation of an overaly sweet dessert sliding down the throat, sharp but paradoxically salty. While he fails to charm us here, he is nonetheless innovative.
.
Well, I think burberry her intense is an easy wear choice for everyone that doesn’t like sticky gourmand fragrance. It’s really delicate meanwhile smooth & gorgeous.

Artio

This perfume is beautiful. I'm seeing it get compared to Baccarat Rouge 540 but I'm not getting any of those vibes on my skin. Still a beautiful fragrance though.

itskiddo221989

OMG this is so good it is fruity candy sweet soft it is so uplifting it is totally good for nights out by far this is my favorite burberry product 10/1000000

Miruna

Yes, it has some BR 540 vibes, but they are far from being close enough to be confused. Seriously, I doubt anyone will ask "Are you wearing Baccarat?". This one is, before anything else, a fruity fragrance.

Now, leaving aside the BR comparison, the fragrance itself is really nice and edgy coming from a designer house. Very interesting and high quality for its price.
If you don't want to pay the niche price tag, this can easily be one of the designer offerings that can satisfy your needs both scent-wise and financially.
It is fruity all the way, you get a strong berry blast in the opening which becomes more tonned down leaving room for some sweetness( vanilla/benzoin) and some creamy florals. Here is also where the BR vibes kick in.
Try seeing it as a fragrance on its own rather than a BR dupe. There are other fragrances closer to Baccarat if you are looking for that.
Very well made, very Kurkdjian.

anna-fie

Well, I see why some people compares this to BR540.
Unfortunately (for me) they develope alike on my skin.
Burberry Her Intense got the same schreechy smell on my skin aswell as BR540 has.

ekowala7

The initial Burberry Her is a light fruity bomb - that gets compared to BR540 all the time. To me, they are maybe 65% similar. However, Her Intense is *CHEF'S KISS* gorgeous. I blind bought this a while ago and it just sat there for a bit.

Tried it a few times since then and to me, this fragrance smells like if you took hard fruit candies (think like the Laura Secord Deluxe Hard Fruit Candies) but only the berry ones - and ground them up into a powder and mixed it VERY SPECIFICALLY with rosin (if you grew up as a pointe dancer, you know). To anyone else, this smells like the ground up berry hard candies mixed with benzoin. I grew up sneaking hard candies out of my mom's purse and cracking rosin with my pointe shoes so this fragrance brings out something really raw from my childhood.

Longevity is moderate on me - I do tend to get a bit anosmic to benzoin (breaks my heart, one of my favourite resin-y notes) so that could be why. Others around me say they can still smell it after about 6 hours. Silage is soft/moderate.

Overall 7/10 - this isn't something versatile to me but is very cozy, warming and familiar to me. It doesn't quite fit into a fruity summer fragrance but isn't rich enough for cold winter, so I'll be interested to see how this does in the Canada winters where I am. That being said, it's really frigging gorgeous. I don't know if it's a safe blind buy though - and I don't know how it compares to BR540 Extrait - I've yet to get my nose on it.

Simonaell

This is so addictive! I thought that this was gonna be too sweet for me, but after spraying it on my skin it got so creamy and well balanced. I think that Burberry Her intence can be worn all year round and at any time of the day. It is verry sexy tho. I could imagine a Lana Del Rey type smell like this. Creamy, sweet, a little dark but the berrys make it so juicy. To me this has the same vibe as Dior Hypnotic poison. They dont smell the same but the have the same vibe. Love this!

bdragonfly12345

I must be in the minority here, because I absolutely LOVE this perfume!!! I don't get cough syrup at all (although I do with JPG "Scandal" and Guerlain "LPRN"). I just get fruity berries dissolving into a deep and sumptuous benzoin base.

I also really like the original Burberry "Her", which is a much fresher and more playful scent. If they didn't have the same name, I wouldn't have guessed they were related (nor "Her London Dream", which is COMPLETELY different!!). I have never smelled BR 540, so I can't compare it, but Ariana Grande "Cloud" doesn't smell anything like this one (it's much more like the original "Her").

It lasts for absolutely ages on me; easily 10+ hours, and for days on my clothes!

I hope that's helpful! :)

avmist

Gotta love that cough syrup smell!

Seriously, I think that this is only hyped because of the perfumer, not because of the fragrance. That benzoin just does NOT work with the syrupy berry scent; it will without fail smell like cough syrup, the same way that musk mixed with salty notes will without fail smell like sweat. Or perhaps this just isn't blended well enough.

I was debating between this and the original Burberry Her, and it looks like I'll have to test that one (hopefully I like that one better)

lechickpea

Oh no. Huge disappointment. There is something pretty in the background, but that can't distract from the sticky berry cough syrup.

maskNglove

Berry flavored cough syrup that dries down to cotton candy mixed with burnt sugar scraped off the top of a vanilla creme brulee. Not a BR540 dupe by any means but has that same quality where it seems to swirl around you rather than sit on your skin.

Elfactory

Catching a whiff of it in the air, the berry opening is quite lovely, but on my skin, it is predominantly cough syrup that just doesn't go away, unlike what some reviewers claim. Perhaps, it is strictly not for the hot weather.

I wanted so much to like this for the benzoin drydown note and because it's a Francis Kurkdjian concoction. I thought the combination of benzoin with a fruity note would be something tantalising, but I cannot seem to detect any benzoin.

I'm guessing this is one of those fragrances where you're just supposed to enjoy catching whiffs of, rather than stick your nose into where you sprayed it. Perhaps, the benzoin is somewhere up there in the air and I just haven't caught it yet.

I'm amazed how many people are in love with the heady cough syrup note, but I guess it is the same logic as to just how many people love Tom Ford's heady Black Orchid, while to me it is headache inducing.

Erinhasaproblem

The is the first Burberry I’ve added to my collection. Before I rave about the fragrance, I have to say that the atomizer is seriously bomb!
I find Burberry Her a very pretty strawberry fragrance that is too juvenile for me to wear but the Intense is definitely the sexy older sister! Sweet berries with a slight freshness in the top. The berries last into the dry down and blend amazingly with the Benzoin. I’m thinking this would be great for cooler weather because It is so sweet but I’m hoping I can pull it off on summer nights, too. I am seriously mesmerized by the sillage! I know this is compared to BR540 but I don’t get that from this.

Aoede67

Everything about these notes should tell me I’d love this fragrance. It’s MFK. It is berries, black and red berries. I could bathe in Burberry for Her. I compared this on my skin along side BfH on the other arm and I loved both. So, I bought 3.3 sized bottles of both. Then: I ranted. I swore I’d been sold a fake version. I went back to compare. Compared Department store boxes to check for the evil imitation. Nope. It’s real and I simply do not like Intense. I smell a distinct spice in it that I cannot put my finger on. I will store it away and bring it back out in fall to see if I like it better in cooler whether.

Siljemariyeah

I have both this one and the original. I love both, but I love this one even more. Its lasting power and silage is impressive, and lots of perfumes preform badly on me in terms of lasting and silage. The quality of Burberry perfumes seems to be very good! Even though I don't enjoy all their scents, their performance value for money seems to be all-around good. Both her and her intense wrap around you like a cloud of femininity.

This one smells EXACTLY like four red fruits tea from twinings or forest fruit tea from lipton with sugar and a tiny splash of milk. (Some of my favorite teas). With some plastic or synthetic note right besides the tea 😅 I love it!
It's berryish, light, airy yet creamy, warm and syrupy.

Another thing that comes to mind is the artificial smell of red berry candy, not the hard candy type - more in the realms of gummy bear texture. In my country they are sold loosely and you can pick and choose. Me saying it smells like artificial candy is not a bad thing, as these exact candies are some of my favorites.. I just don't know what they are called in other countries. Maybe it reminds me of it because of a slight plastic synthetic smell. Might not sound great to some people. I love it though. Some of my favorite candies.

aldinatic

This is a pure woman feminine smell.. so yummy.. for the winter, only thing is..it doesn't change.. no dry downs or so..
linear...

temo

I agree with the poster who commented that this is “The Bomb”! It is indeed a Berry Bomb but in a really “well blended” kind of way. I find the blending to be some kind of a synergistic miracle. It takes a while to take hold on the skin but when it does, hang on to your hat! I do get a bit of an ambroxan vibe too, as someone mentioned. Modern, fresh, happy are words that come to mind. Compliments galore too!
Can’t help but wonder why the notes of violet in the heart and cedar wood in the base are not mentioned here.? I definitely pick up cedar wood.

codymarieb

I blind purchased this fragrance today based on the reviews of people who said it was similar to MFK Baccarat Rouge 540. I haven’t smelled BR540 so I can’t compare, but they also say Cloud by Ariana is similar to BR540 and this definitely has cloud vibes. This is however more mature, sexy, better performance than cloud.

I LOVE this fragrance. It’s sweet but still sexy, absolutely a safe blind buy in my opinion.

Melissa_T

I absolutely LOVE the original Her and had to get this Intense version.

This is aptly named as its definitely more intense and heavier than the original but still extremely similar. I’m loving the emphasis on the blackberry and the addition of the jasmine. The benzoin adds some oomph and deepens the scent.

GORGEOUS FRAGRANCE!!

I’d love if they came out with a brighter, fresher version of Her for summer (and I’m not talking about Burberry Her Blossom which has no berries)

TinaTsia

On my skin, I oddly pick up the jasmine the most, then with some sweet strawberries. Its very powdery and soft, I prefer this version over the original. It's not that sickly sweet or as syrupy as the original.

I generally prefer powdery fragrances, and this is the perfect sweet yet soft addition to my collection. I even get a marshmallow vibe. I love this.

I sprayed this once in the morning and its currently midnight, its still lingering. To me, its quite a soft-moderate scent, however, it lasts forever. So elegant and feminine, a real beauty.

supergirl9412

This was abysmal and a total failure, but the blame lies on me. This was a blind buy, which was dumb considering I had no idea how benzoin of this strength would smell on me, and quite honestly, didn't really know what benzoin smelled like on its own. I saw the strong berry notes and decided to give it a try, without really considering the benzoin. In my ignorance, I thought the benzoin would give a nice, sweet, amber-like warmth ... WOW. WRONG. On me, this is pure cough syrup. Like the really strong, prescription-strength cough syrup that's usually loaded with too much "flavoring" to cover up the medicinal/chemical taste of the syrup itself.

That being said, if you know and love benzoin and berries, this may be right up your alley! I'd recommend tesing first, though, as you may be surprised by the overall blend.

perfumeproblem777

Berries and cream, that's what I get. And at first it was too much for me, but it dialed down/softened up and I had my hand constantly pressed to my nose for the rest of the night. This was lovely. I'll have to test it out more, but it's a great first impression.

Molly Smith

I first smelt it on a friend. We went to a party together, and I kept getting whiffs of it off her. I think I told her about 100 times that evening how wonderful her perfume smelt. I also tested it on myself in a shop, and it went straight to the top of my wish list. In the opening, there are strawberries, or rather strawberry jam. They disappear within 15 minutes, and the scent turns caramel-like and alluring. Yes, it is sweet, and it fits into the row of modern sweet perfumes, like Black Opium or Pure XS. But there is something special about Burberry Her Intense that speaks to me. It's like a drug!

gelkita

I am quite indifferent to Burberry Her Intense. It doesn’t make me feel anything : nor love, nor hate.
That said it is quite long lasting.

And I can assure you it does not smell like BR540 whatsoever ! The main reason it just doesn’t and can’t, Burberry Her Intense is not woody, it has zero woody note.

First spray it smells like the original but with a punch hence the name intense. I'm starting to do a happy dance but then it ends abruptly as it turns into a sweet syrupy concoction. It has the same vibe as Hypnotic poison or Decadence from Marc Jacobs. It is cloying. It stays forever on the skin so longevity is good. It's a winter fragrance but not for me...

I loooove the original. I really wanted this one to be a woodier, stronger version of the original. I don’t get more wood; I get syrupy berries, instead of bright berries. There is also something that burns my nose a little...maybe the benzoin?

I really like the original and I had great expectations from this one. Unfortunately I can't smell the jasmine, only the berries which seem so intense that remind me a kid's syrup or a candy shop. It's too sweet but not in a feminine way, though I love sweet perfumes, Her intense makes me feel like I am wrapped in a bubble gum.

If you love the original there's nothing to be lost in getting this, however there's no reason to go out of your way to get it. Got a sample along with a full bottle of the original. They're so similar--the Intense like people said seems to have more kinds of berries and one other note I can't identify--it's not a huge change and you could easily wear it in place of the original. Both are gorgeous!
