Black Phantom By Kilian for women and men

I agree with @thegreatestjourney. Something about Black Phantom is extremely offputting, like scrunch up your nose offputting, upon opening...but ooooooh so captivating at the same time. I couldn't stop smelling my arm. It was like being called into the darkness by the masked Black Phantom and following the call despite knowing that death inevitably awaits. At least, that's the way I feel about almond scents (aka Death) and I'm pretty sure it's the almond note that's killing me. Nevertheless, this fragrance is layered and complex enough that it can be considered somewhat tolerable in very light spitzes once it settles down. But due to the lingering almondiness it's not for me.

One hour update: I reeeeeeally wanted to write this one off because of the harsh bitter opening but this is so sweet and warm when it settles. What can I say? I found solace in the arms of the Black Phantom. And will probably get a small decant of this. I'm weak. I know. Don't judge me!

there's something going on in Black Phantom that is both annoying and alluring me at the same time. I think I have just defined what "love" is. it is SO delicious, and yet enjoyable to smell this dark fragrance. it might take some time to get used to it, but after that, you won't ever be able to leave that off.

Keeping it simple here: this strongly reminds me of Tiziana Terenzi's Chi. Only exception is Black Phantom is a little smoother. I am a huge fan of Tiziana Terenzi, but Chi was a huge "fail" for me. It didn't last longer than 3-4 hours on me, and the whole time, I kept getting a strong odor of just plain dirt. Ironically, I haven't been much of a Killian fan, but I'm hooked on Black Phantom.

This was vile on me. I should love it but it was so nasty- the sample I got went into the garbage. Vile.

smells so sexy. unisex as dark feminine/femme fatalle could pull this off so well. sorry but i prefer this more than angel share.

On my skin, the sweetness makes this lean more unisex and less male, unlike TF Tobacco Vanille, which is WAY too much like straight-up tobacco on me to smell unisex or even nice--just smells like an ashtray, not even as nice as pipe tobacco. (I'm female, but enjoy deeper/spicier notes, especially sandalwood, particularly when it's cold or rainy.) I like this a lot. It gives me a cozy feeling.

This is an acquired taste that not everyone has. It definitely grew on me big time after a few wears. It’s gourmet but with a teasing animalic touch.

Wow this is an incredibly intense, chocolatey caramel dark rum bomb which tastes good enough to eat ...this is some good ish!!! Very different from my usual go to fragrances and a very good introduction to dark boozy chocolate. It's a LITTLE overly sweet to my liking but it's delicious all the same. Wow. I can see how women would love this on a man. It's a shame it's so damn expensive but would be worth it to be a winter staple in anyone's collection.

The smell is excellent to my nose. I love the sweetness of this fragrance, maybe too sweet for some but me. It makes me feel like a mobile chocolate, very yummy, dark and alluring as many says. Performance is beyond any suspicion, 10/10. Recommend

Intense notes of rum and black coffee dominate, with a sharp bitterness at first, gradually giving way to a luscious blend of sugary caramel and chocolate, which I personally prefer as the base note. Its longevity feels endless. I'd describe it as a "Gourmand for adults" for its sophisticated and rich aroma.

interesting. unsure if this is quite my cup of tea yet despite my expectations. I find this leans a bit too masculine for me, but regardless cool scent, I will probably still wear it

It has gotten me more compliments than anything else I've ever word. That aside, it makes me feline I'm in a luxurious coffee shop and that comforts me.

When I first smell it in the air smell was great at first (I smelled a strong smell of rum mixed with a note of coconut-the composition slightly reminds me of the one from viw by Creed).
On my skin the smell does not work at all as it should and it's a completely different story-
bellow my expectations considering the great hype and popularity of the fragrance.

At first I smell rum, but it very quickly overshadows the mix of chocolate supported by a subtle note of coffee... after an hour sugar enters the fragrance configuration and gives that repulsive mix of sugar with fine rum on the basis of light wood (cedar) and a crumb of vetiver...I get the impression that I already smelled the same composition in Mancera's Cedrat Boise, although with Mancera, that rum is hidden...but I'm sure that at later stage in kilian heliotrope plays an important role why the scent leans towards Mancera.
In the air, the smell is extremely excellent and pleasant (notes of rum and coconut) - I would even say that it shines the most, while on the skin it's a completely different story... as time passes and the more the scent evaporates, in the drydown it acquires that gourmet soapiness with "chocolate" touch.
Honestly, I'm not impressed with this one!

This one is interesting. On initial spray I just get dark coffee with a bit of rum, but the drydown is where it really shines. Sweet, edible caramel mixed with boozy chocolate. This is also smoky to me, but nonetheless it is a work of art by Kilian. For performance this lasted around 8 hours on my skin with about 1-2 hours of projection, so I assume that you'd need to spray more than 2 sprays for this to get noticed. I'm not too keen about getting a bottle for now since I am still testing, but I'd say this is worth your money because it is very unique for a sweet scent.

First time I wore this was at a work party. My girl was waiting for me and as soon as I got out of the car she immediately say mmm.. what is that? smells so good. Then got inside the building a female colleague said 'You smell expensive' and asked what I'm wearing lol

A masterpiece, IMO. Easily 8-9 hours in autumn. About the same in winter but not as projecting.

Edit: If you’re looking for a cheaper ‘inspired by’ try Wafa by Ard Al Zaafaran. Opens a lot more sweet, but after an hour, it’s about 85% close to Black Phantom.

I like unisex fragrances but on my skin this is absolutely male. I am a gourmand lover including many of the specific notes in this fragrance and it is still somehow decidedly masculine. I layered some more feminine fragrance over the little I tested and I can still smell this. I look forward to my husband trying this one.

This is really dark and nice a warm hug by a pirate indeed. I layer it with amber vanilla feminine scents so he is having a really good time on my skin :) ( Doesn't last as long as I wish for tho.)

If you want to smell like a delicious coffee desert and have your girl eat you up, this is the one. Beast mode sweetness, the ultimate Gourmont scent.

The weirdest thing I've smelt. I just cant smell either one of the ingredients, its all just kind of mushed together to my nose. Could just be me though. Very sticky dense scent. I think id enjoy it more if it had more vanilla.

I love this. It's powerful. Beast mode. I take two sprays and it lasts for days. It's unique and may put some people off for the fact that it's so intense. For me that's a plus. It's expensive but with the longevity and sillage that makes the price easier to swallow. In my opinion way, better than Angel's Share if you are wanting to try something from Killian for the first time.

This stuff is NOT for everyone, but its for me. Smells like a caramel chocolate bar, very sticky sweet, but at first it did remind me of burnt rubber. Definitely had to grow on me but i love it now, smells very sophisticated yet very warm and inviting. But again, its not for everyone, so sample before you buy a full bottle.

My gentlemen friend says it's repugnant, I still have it, I think it's just fine.

Smells like coffee splashed with cyanide, in a regal, relegated, swansong manner. The deal is sweetened with caramel and vanilla, and moderately long-lasting (8-9 hours on me). I didn't get the almond.

Imagery: as I walked across the black mirror, not a reflection of myself, trespassing in an antique living room, no one is living, I saw an old rockstar sitting on the sofa with his lyric pad, smokey eyes and many faces, no one asked for autographs.

8/10, good for posh shirts and wool coat, not good for cool jewellery, ripped jeans and old band shirt (I wish). Also please don't overdo it, the sillage is a monster.

The opening of this is really off putting and very sharp. I blind bought this as it’s hard to find testers near me and I was so disappointed. However … if you wait until the dry down, this becomes so smooth, warm and rounds out beautifully. I think the sugar cane and caramel really help offset that super harsh, clashing cheap rum and stale coffee in the opening. It starts out quite masculine and then dries down to a perfectly unisex scent. Fairly dark, deep fragrance. Definitely overpriced given that bizarre opening. Had I smelled this first I would not have purchased but I don’t hate it. Glad I only got the travel set, which btw the refillable atomizer is gorgeously weighted with a magnetic top.

It is very different form anything else. Opening notes are a bit woody but when it dries down it is very unique and original. I love it.

A tire aisle, stale burnt coffee grounds, and only a hint of chocolate, the whole way through. No almond, caramel, or sugar. I’m surprised gunpowder isn’t a note. Not sweet at all.

The most gourmand fragrance I’ve ever encountered. I don’t get how it’s the most popular Kilian behind Angels Share. There are better ones.

It’s to a point where it makes me feel sick after smelling this for too long. It’s almost like a disgusting week-old chocolate bar that was left melting in a car.

And the longevity is not great at all.

i have oakcha’s clone (libra elixir) i have to say it kind of smells similar and also performs about the same (10 hrs on my skin) black phantom is much sweeter and more chocolate forward off the top to my nose. oakcha’s is bitter and more coffee forward, woody and smoky, less boozy and very harsh at the opening. however, the drydowns are quite similar, black coffee and bittersweet dark chocolate-esque with a slight woody undertone.

Mystérieux, élégant, subtil, parfaitement équilibré.
Ne peut pas être porté tout les jours c'est sur, mais intrigue tout le monde dans son sillage.
Bref une très belle expérience olfactive.

bad opening but drydown is good. is not very strong although a dark scent

I really wanted to love this and I love all my other Kilian fragrances, Angel's Share, Princess, Love don't be shy... But this one is horrible... I get no chocolate, no almond, no sweetness, all I get is rum done very badly, burnt coffee and rubber with maybe something woody? And a hint of caramel but it doesn't make it any sweeter. This is not gourmand at all on me... I thought maybe it leads too masculine on me so my man tried it out. He is disgusted as well... What a shame! NOT a safe blind buy!

Dark,elegant,rich,smooth,velvety...when i first test it i thought hm...quite odd,but i like it,i want it more. Then it just grew on me,feeling very cozy in it. I can feel every single note. Also i can detect leather. It is so well balanced perfume.

Best gourmand I've ever tried. The dry down has a delicious caramel/coffee vibe to it. Sadly it doesn't project too well.

Im not sure exactly how to describe this other than the name itself. its spot on. smells dark and mysterious with sweetness but nothing cloying. Dracula would have bought the entire stock

i do really like it however i wish the almond note was removed, im not a huge fan of almond notes and it throws me off a bit. at least it is in the background a bit, but its still noticable. i think that the almond makes a lot people dislike this. either that or the coffee note.

you defo need to sample this and spend some time with it before you buy. however it smells very captivating and unique which i really appreciate.

Idk why many people hate this in the comments. I have it, it needs to be sprayed very lightly. It's deep and sexy to me. I wear it when I want to be that mysterious siren in black.
If I smelled in on a man's skin, I'd be instantly attracted. I would seriously be biting my lip.
Maybe it smells bad for some cause they prefer fresh scents.
This is like a beast, a fantasy creature in a woman's adventure romance novel, you know what I mean *getting hot*.
If you love gourmands and love deep scents and the animalic instincts... You may find this a keeper.

It smelled like a low grade bar of chocolate...like the kind you get at CVS, not melt in your mouth but hard and barely cocoa drenched in a glass of tap water. Unfortunately, I have not found many Kilian's to love...with the exception of Moonlight in Heaven, which is not really so much a gourmand.

Intense rum with black coffee. Very bitter touch at first, ends with sugary caramel and chocolate which I prefer for the base note - and also its longevity seems eternal. I say 'Gourmand for adults' describe it best.

I like all the stated pyramid ingredients: rum, coffee, caramel, chocolate, etc. - but I can't stand this scent. And I love unusual fragrances. It smells like spoiled cheap chocolate. The one you would buy at the gas station for a buck.

This smells like walking into an extremely clean luxury coffee bar. It’s sultry and sweet, yet deep without being cloying. I find myself constantly reaching for this if I’m going out for the night. I usually don’t love coffee or alcohol based scents, but this one is so well rounded it comes together in a way that’s unexpected. It’s expensive but I’ve yet to find anything resembling it

Went out with a guy who was wearing this a few days ago. I find the scent super attractive, sexy even, in a clean way, definitely didn't get the overly sweet note some comments mention here. Perfect frag for chilly weather.

The same thing @aliyuh0604 said. Better in opening than in dry down. You just want to get it off of you but it doesn't go away. More you smell it more you're sick off it. 2 girls smelt it separately and their reactions was f*** no. Enough said.

I’ve been really excited to try this for some time, finally got my hands on it and what a disappointment. Just a mess. Rum heavy off the open, really the only note I picked up. Then the dry down is a sweet sickly - and yes rubbery! - smell. I don’t get the caramel, the coffee or the dark chocolate… or the vanilla, almond, vétiver. Would not want to wear this in any situation but I did select when it’s raining so that hopefully it gets rinsed off.

this fragrance is so bad omg. it smells so intoxicating and not in a good way. I am so dissapointed because I am a huge fan of kilians perfumes but this is def one of the bad ones. It smells rancid like alcohol and coco beans but its bad. And it smells worse dried down then when first sprayed. I have it on my arm right now and every time I smell it I cough and almost throw up no joke. like what was bro thinking when he made this. so yeah, wouldnt recommend.

Just smelled it on a guy and recognised it. This thing smells horrible, it's a total mess of candies giving a cheap sweetness as result, goes directly to the stomach. It's one of these few fragrances that i deeply dislike.

Definitely not for the light hearted. For me, Killian is typically a hit or miss. I’m not a huge fan of this to be honest. Up close it’s really heavy on dark chocolate, caramel and coffee for me. It’s pretty sweet and almost kinda salty. It’s not a bad smell- it’s just not something I would want to smell like myself. A bit too gourmand almost. The projection smell from me is also really weird. Up close it’s pretty alright, and the dry down is even kinda nice because it gets really warm and balsamic, but the far away whiff is just very… off

There is a review below by @GlacialImpala and I feel they really hit the nail on the head with this one. It's like, if you picked up a chunk of what appears to be burned rubber off the ground, still a little smoky from the hypothetical explosion that produced it, and you realize that you could possibly, vaguely, smell semi-sweet chocolate and coffee wafting off of it. You have to go in really deep on the second sniff to make sure that it's chocolate and coffee you think you smell, because you just aren't sure, and they are just *hints* not strong or sweet enough to be gourmand. Also, the other, more robust note of - apparently burnt rubber - makes it difficult to discern what all is going on. It's almost not even a fragrance to me. A smell, yes, but...not so much a fragrance. The burnt rubber smell isn't even all that bad. But it's like pizza, just because it smells good doesn't mean one wants to smell like it. Also, for reference, I am female. I definitely feel like this would work best as a masculine scent, personally. I think if some of the components were softened and sweetened up a bit, I'd enjoy this enough to wear it, but I guess it wouldn't really be Black Phantom, then. I bet on a guy, it's really good.

if there's one thing Killian does best, it's alcohol notes. The first spray is a punch in the face of rum with a sweetness that seems to be crawling out. Give it a couple of seconds and you get the first few sniffs of deep dark chocolate that immediately balances it all out. it dries down to a creamy rummy dark chocolate with a hint of woodiness. It lasted very well on me and had a nice moderate sillage

First spray is a little heavy on the rum and creeps me out a little, but the dry down of this fragrance is so good. Warm caramely amaretto. Definitely a cold weather, night out fragrance. Lasts fairly well on skin, I think it’s also fairly unisex as my gourmand-loving husband liked it a lot as well

Smells like stolen from the Libians. A bit like A-men Pure Coffee, but with a little more kick. Opening with an interesting rubber but choking me out like rose perfumes do. Like it doesn't belong here but in some doctor's experiment, messing up some romantic timeline.

Initially for the first minute it smells so woody it’s almost smoky. Maybe like a very dry dusty coffee. It’s not great for a minute! But give it time.
After 5 minutes it’s a delicious slightly burnt cinder toffee or maple syrup kind of smell.
Rich, sticky, maybe like sticky toffee pudding.
Really gourmand, really delicious.

The dry down is very similar to the limited Oh Canada by 4160 Tuesdays, of which I have a full bottle and use a lot. Oh Canada keeps the smokiness for longer, whereas in BP it’s definitely more woody than smokey. BP is probably sweeter overall. And less strong. If you love BP and feel sad that it’s lost it’s projection after a couple of hours, try and get some Oh Canada - it lasts a full 8 hours+ on me.

Maybe this is what a melted Crunchie would smell like? (Cinder toffee covered in chocolate for those outside the UK)

Also, if you smell just the nozzle it’s disgusting. Paper test strips are not too great either as it takes a few minutes for the notes to develop, so a quick spray and sniff in the shop will not give you what I’ve described above. Try this on skin for more than a few minutes to pass judgement!

The almond/heliotrope comes out more on fabric.

Took me a min but finally got my nose on this from a Kilian discovery set (was an icon set with 5 samples of the most popular) this is by far my fav of them. You just get this nutty dusty choc powdery warm comforting smell It feels mysterious and evoking much like an alluring phantom that envelopes you to a night of sex sin & naughty. So name and scent on point! 👏🏼😌

Well I must say I have no idea how this reminds anybody of anything. It’s extremely funky and unpleasant. How they get people to praise this is beyond any reasonable comprehension. Almost like getting trolled when I read the positive reviews. Anyways this is my experience… sample first.

One thing this fragrance does, which blows me away is how they created this fragrance to feel so vast, and dark, without really adding any animalic or less agreeable touches to the fragrance outside of maybe some patchouli. This fragrance conjures memories of something like Promise - Frederic Malle, a personal favorite. Something so lovely and masterful, with something very unsettling looming in the background. Only this is achieved with a gourmand, using notes that are if anything, sinfully pleasant. This is brilliant stuff.

Beautiful gourmand. Sweet coffe, chocolate and caramel. Just wish it had a little better projection for the high price tag, because for me at least I have a problem smelling it after 1-2 hours on skin. Love this tho, thinking of purchasing a bottle soon.

A little underwhelmed with this. Not because it’s a bad scent (it’s very nice) but because the hype had led me to believe it would be better.

The opening is a bit… weird. Sort of coffee, boozey , but a little bit of a burnt petrol type smell in there as well. The most challenging bit but the only bit that isn’t fairly generic.

The dry down is a nice chocolatey, slightly boozey gourmand. Very tasty but nothing you can’t smell elsewhere.

I got a sample of BP while buying Angel's Share and I just can't get enough of this scent. I am totally hooked. It is like a perfect mix of everything I adore (from coffee to chocolate) and not too overwhelming. I am waiting for a bottle I ordered just day after getting the sample. I also got a sample of Apple Brandy and accidentally discovered (while sampling too many at the same time) that BP and AB go great together if you want to layer it. They are both amazing on their own, but they somehow enrich each other together. I still need to try this combo with Angels' Share.

Edit: I have to add that that the projection is very strong even though I can't really notice that. I wore it if the office (I know, it's not meant for that) after just one spray 3, 4 hours ago, and my colleagues had to open a window because "some" perfume smelled strong... Not a great compliment, but at least I got a confirmation that it is quite noticeable. Still my favourite!

In the opening it smells like burned caramel or burned coffee, I don't know which. Then it dries I find it pretty similar to initio Side effect or Psychedelic love.

Very boozy on the opening, dries down to a one-dimensional gourmand that resembles a cheap winter candle. After four hours, I can barely detect a light whiff of sweetness on my skin. Horrible longevity and zero projection. I’m genuinely confused by all the positive reviews. Terribly overpriced.

I DIG THIS! This is thick chewy dark fudge at first sniff with something leathery going on. I haven’t looked at the notes anywhere so I am going to wear this for a few hours and check back in but the first ten minutes ahhhhh I am loving it 🙃.

It has been a few hours …still a love for me. I was pumping gas and the man at the next pump over told me how good I smelled so decent scent bubble. This has settled into a fairly sweet and boozy fudgy raisin scent for me. A bit of tootsie roll. There is also an underlying powdery /chalky affect that is not unpleasant to me. Fairly linear with not a ton of development but since I really enjoy the opening I am ok with that. So far I have been impressed with Killian as a house in general.
**EDIT** I’m back …because I always seem to come back lol. I looked over the notes and some of the reviews and it’s so interesting to see how other ppl view a scent. I have loved diving in blind as much as possible lately because the surprises I get when doing my deep dive afterwards are SO MUCH FUN! I loved seeing @drraccoon used raisin as a descriptor as well!!!! I have no clue where that came from but it just fit for me too.

I really like this! On me, it's an intoxicating balance of sweet caramel, dark chocolate and strong coffee. There's a faint scent of rum that adds to the intrigue. It's well blended and the sort of thing you want to wear again and again. It doesn't smell masculine at all to me, but I can see how it might be unisex.

Unfortunately the performance isn't as good as I expected, though. It's moderate but for the price, I expected industrial sillage tbh. I got a discovery set but I'm planning on buying a full bottle of this one!

I love woody fragrances, spicy fragrances, gourmandy fragrances, and boozy fragrances. This is all of the things. Easily love at first sniff. However...

The performance of this fragrance is awful. It becomes a skin scent on me seemingly within an hour.

For anyone like me who loves this fragrance and wishes it had better performance, get your nose on Dark Knight by Alexandria fragrances. It's known as a dupe of Black Phantom, but the performance and longevity blow it out of the water. As for the scent similarity, I'd say it's almost there. To me, it's a little less boozy and heavier on the tobacco in the opening, but after 10 minutes it smells nearly identical to the drydown of Black Phantom.

I guess it is me...I get waxy burnt rubber.......with some cacao underneath...

Can’t get enough of this. Dark chocolate heading into a deep raisin-like smell. The almond is always there but will take you a while to find. It’s embedded in the thick layers of chocolate, caramel and coffee. This smells like a luxurious, ignorantly-indulgent chocolate-based dessert. Wear this in the winter only, and on your skin not your clothes. Definitely worth a full bottle if you’re a gourmand freak.

One of the best gourmands ever! You need to wear it for sometime to fully understand its magic. I almost photorealisticly get dark chocolate, caramel and coffee notes mixed with a tiny bit of rum. It creates small cozy scent bubble around that you get whiffs constantly.

My score: 9/10

There is also a lady claiming it reminds her of The One by Dolce and Gabbana. The One is much better and has more notes.
I love the One, but the first I had back in 2013 went spoiled within 3 years. I could only smell dirty alcohol.
For it is cheap and that is why you can buy it starting at 30 €.

In general, 8 out of 10 reviews I read these days at Fragrantica, are extremely weird. Such a disappointment.
Anyway, if someone has a serious suggestion regarding a good alternative for Black Phantom, I would like to hear, for I just love this scent profile.
Besides Black Phantom, I have Orchid Leather by Van Cleef & Arpels which is not similar but reminds me of.
And Toscanello by Profumi del Forte. These are the only 3 fragrances I have in this scent style, which I like a lot.

I tried this (and a few others) at their counter with a testing card. I almost decided to get a bottle, yet I took the cards home, let them sit for longer hours, and decide. Yesterday I bought the Cellar Discovery Set instead. Luckily I did that, as the scent is so different from staying on the card to that on my skin! For one whole hour I can only smell dead sweet caramel sticking on my skin, which is the note I like least. I cannot detect any coffee and rum which I look for till now!

Absolutely delicious. Chocolate, caramel and rum are the main notes that stick out for me. Only downside is the total lack of projection, which is a shame. Kilian really are missing out on some sales by not doing an intense/extreme flanker of this. I've tried the faviol insomnia and the loud opening gives the impression that it will be a bigger projecting alternative but this doesn't last very long and ends up having a similar longevity and the blend/raw materials aren't as good as the kilian.

Listen, it's a very boujee pirate ship but I get the reference.
This frag is rich, boozy-sweet and a bit woody-dirty. Like the crew had an intoxicated celebration, packed with tipsy treats, and then forgot to wash the deck before morning.

It's unisex but I'd prefer it on a man. And I'd prefer to not go home with that man because I'm not sticking around to find out what his deck smells like in the morning.

I was shocked when i smelled it on my wrist. Before trying it i've read some reviews where people would say that it smells like a pirate's ship and when they sniff it they can paint that picture in their mind. I thought they were exaggerating. Turns out, no, it's true. It really smells like that and the moment i've sniffed it from my skin was a moment when i imagined being hugged by a pirate - you can smell drops of rum on his coat, smoke on his fabric, wood around you both. It's very hard to explain. Very interesting fragrance, i wouldn't expect something like that from Killian. Even if you don't intend wearing it(since this perfume is really masculine), still try it. It's really good. Bravo.

Although this is an exceptional fragrance, I have to say that it certainly cannot beat out my other gourmands/heavily sweet scents. Oajan, Oud Satin Mood extrait, Carlisle, Nefs, and Side Effect all blow this one out of the water. Still a great scent though. Just short of full marks.

Delicious and dark, mysterious and maybe a little up-to-no-good. Black Phantom rules. It really draws people in and doesn't disappoint; your audience will want to drink this stuff up. Stays close to the skin, which actually makes this scent so fun, its intimate and sexy and alluring. Chocolatey and coffee-like, and the blend is so, so good. Confidence booster for sure. Love it.

An unrecognizable chocolate note with darkness - not too sweet, not too alcoholic, very well-blended. It smells like a charismatic, confident man. If Dark Lord by Kilian is a businessman in a dark mahogany room with leather furniture, this is his gregarious hedonistic son who just tries to enjoy life but still has his father's DNA lol I smell a leather note in the drydown - could it be the sandalwood? I am not sure.

I'm a big fan of black phantom, which is why, reading your reviews on fragrantica, I decide to buy insomnia. I was very happy with my purchase, very similar scent but still with a different personality to black phantom in my opinion caramel, chocolate and rum prevails, sweet and comfortable scent. excellent lasting and sillage. Impeccable customer service, they resolve any problems quickly.

I love this scent, but everyone near me seems to hate this so I am unable to wear it. It smells like smoky mystical marzipan to me, absolutely perfect for winter!

Orchid Leather by Van Cleef & Arpel wipes the floor with this and for about half the price.

Arguably the Gourmand king. At the first two or three times that I tried this fragrance, I wasn't impressed at all and really didn't buy the hype around it. But as we have transitioned into the fall, I decided to give this one another try. And all its magic came to the surface as soon as the weather got colder. A caramel like sweetness, absolutely drenched in rum, and smoothed out by nice almond and sandalwood notes. Absolutely fantastic. Even in 2023 this fragrance is potent, and lasts for well more than 8 hours. Sillage is always the troubling thing with Kilian. But bear in mind that not all fragrances should be nuclear bombs. For more intimate occasions, you would like to wear something that sticks closer to the skin. And this does exactly that. Meant for a confident and magnetic individual. If you want a gourmand fragrance, this is your starter point.

Imagine smelling freshly squeezed lemon, then lemon-scented cleaning product - the former would pass as gourmand, the latter absolutely not (as far as associations go).
Well this perfume has a similar thing going with Chocolate, Caramel and Coffee notes - depending on your nasal anatomy you may identify those elements but they will hit your appetite as much as a cleaning product would, which is to say not at all.

I'm not saying this scent smells synthetic, not at all, just that somehow the author managed to use edible notes and rob them of food conotations, arguably a great feat. To me this starts off as a blast of masculine alcoholic aroma, which soon settles as something sweet but darkly so. I wouldn't call it a men's perfume, it's leaning feminine, but far from girly. The vision as you wear it is a night of classy drinking, smoking and sex, heavier on the drinking than other two. It's not dirty, but the alcoholic note stains the 'food' ones as much as cigarette smoke would stain your beloved scarf that used to smell clean. Now it's clean with some mileage under its belt.

Well, One my personal favs. Whats works is how a vintage accord which has been commercially successful twisted to this decade preferences. I lvoe it. Very sensual texture...

This is for men.

Maybe this is sweet as far as fragrances marketed for men go, but for a unisex scent, it's extremely dry. Caramel? Give me a break. The rum is dry. The chocolate is 100% cacao. The coffee is a bitter pull from a French roast.

Those dry notes evoke a spicy, almost herbal opening that's very typical of masculine scents. It doesn't strike me as gourmand at all. I deeply regret buying this for myself, but I will gift it to a man. I do think it would be very sexy on a man. I bought it expecting it to be a more interesting Coffey & Whiskey, and the notes sound so delicious. Unfortunately, even the dry down got me comments about how masculine it smelled. It's a lovely scent for someone else.

On my skin, this smells SO similar to Orchid Leather by VC+A. Quite nice, but also not quite as pleasant. Definitely dark & mysterious, but kind of weird. Something is clashing a little.

To me that feels like a scent that some would dislike. Imo, It appears not as a nice, pleasant, likeable compliment getter, but as a scent that evokes emotional response. I like the dark nature, intensity, moderate sweetness of it. Slightly synthetic - I can see how that would appear to some as burnt rubber. But either I become nose blind to it somehow(tried spraying on my wrist only for a test), or it's performance is quite weak. Especially in terms of sillage and projection. Lasts for days on clothes though.
And I'd prefer to wear something more noticeable, surely in this price range. I like that "dark emotional appeal" vibe though. I'm new to perfumery(26 yo male who looks like he is easily 30), if someone has an advise on something similar but more performant - I'd love to get a recommendation.
For the moment I'm waiting for samples of Side Effect by Initio Parfums Prives and Noir Extreme Parfum by Tom Ford to arrive.

Wow this is so polarizing on me like two different perfumes. On my skin this is masculine and deep, bitter roasted coffee beans, smoky and almost burnt, hints of nuttiness and raw cocoa powder. Although it’s not mentioned here, I do get some patchouli and vetiver. But on clothes it’s a different perfume, bright and sharp, sweet rum and sugar from start to finish. Reminds me of Casali rum balls. This is so unique, like day and night in bottle. Very sexy and bold gourmand. Nothing like I have ever worn. Longevity is great. Truly unisex but I do recommend sampling it first. Big 10/10 from me!

Drydown is almost the same as Coffee & Whiskey, but the opening to Black Phantom is so magical and fairytale-like that for me personally, justifies it over Coffee & Whiskey.

I feel that the balance between the coffee, the cacao and the rum is just perfect. A holy trinity that works just so well.

On a more negative note (and not really about the perfume itself), Kilian is such a silly brand. It's like something from the 80s. Flamboyant and completely over the top.

Anyway, I still love this. The perfume itself is for a gourmand lover like me, addictive poison.

Some day I will perhaps need to acquire this silly gourmand extravagant beauty.

This is a very unique fragrance. The opening smelled a little bit synthetic-like but then the notes started to come through. I get the chocolate (more dark than creamy), creaminess of the sandalwood, slight touch of the nutmeg, and unique addition of sweetness that I assume is from the rum and sugarcane. Also, the realistic coffee note. It's definitely not a gourmand/sickly sweet coffee note. This fragrance is very well formulated but probably not for everyone. I like it but I don't love it so I don't see myself purchasing a bottle any time soon. Try before you buy and test it on your skin to give it time to develop so you can decide whether you actually like this or not.

I can't seem to enjoy this fragrance. It definitely has a booziness to it and the chocolate does come through. It's not for me, I have a 1.7ml bottle unused if anyone would like to buy/trade reach me.

Tried this blind without reading any of the notes and I was shocked. I found all stages of this fragrance unpleasant. Opening was very bitter — like dark chocolate with such high % of cacao that it begins to lose any enjoyment you’d get from eating chocolate. I was grossed out.
After reading the notes I realize it’s definitely where the rum meets the coffee and almond. Very boozy. Not something I thoroughly enjoyed.
Pungent after 12 hours and I suspect could last 18+. Can start detecting the light floral after that long.
Wear this if you’re trying to smell like a piece of plundered pirate booty.
I can appreciate it for its realism, but if I smelled this is the wild I would be massively put off. More offensive than harmonic.

Sweet rum, chocolate, coffee with a hint of freshness underneath. Probably one of the best fragrances ive tried this year. This and Angels Share are my favorite cold weather/date night fragrances.

Boozy chocolate. Rich, not synthetic. Uber gourmand. One of By Kilian's best IMHO. Same nose created Straight to Heaven (one of my all-time faves). I do get nose-blind to it; this does not detract from the actual performance of the scent if I judge from the compliments I get 8 hours after application - obviously it is still projecting even if I don't smell it as much. If you are a gourmand lover, you will be impressed and definitely want to add this to your collection.

Man this sits close to the skin on me. Maybe I’m going nose blind to it but it’s hard to detect after 20 minutes. Maybe it’s the reformulation. I have a gold cap. And I don’t get chocolate. I get peanuts. I’m going to keep testing it out on me and see what the wife thinks. I want to love this one. Hopefully it gets better if I let it sit for a while.

Kilian eh , the form undoubtably make some superb fragrances but then also make some that are great on opening but suffer weak sillage and projection.
Black phantom is one of thief best in my opinion. Not a safe blind but if, like me, you like to be different then i I love this. Dark, mysterious and i always get asked what i am wearing. This has a back to Black kind of edge to it. I can’t understand how others have not mentioned the incense vibe to it. Yes, it’s expensive but worthy of having for any collector. Also reminds me of nasamatto black afgano in some ways.

Sexy, mysterious, bold, and a little cozy. Coffee and hazelnuts (notes say almond, but I get hazelnut) and dark chocolate. A very subtle hint of heliotrope, but it doesn't make the fragrance powdery, it just rounds it out and adds a certain smoothness. Anyone who watches Disenchantment (spoiler alert) — this is Dagmar's signature scent — especially when she's emerging from the underground cave in her sexy black dress and thigh high boots. That's exactly what comes to mind when I smell this.

This is a male fragrance! Not at all unisex. Wanted to love this desperately. I love coffee, dark chocolate, almonds and caramel. On me it smelled like peanut butter on cardboard the first minute then morphed into into heavy rum on leather I actually tasted just by sniffing my arm. I just have to accept this does not mix with my skin chemistry. On paper it was delicious Coffee liquer like Bailey's or Kahlua. On me by dry down? It smelled like rubber, bitter coffee and dark chocolate. This is a good reason to buy the smallest size first or to test on your skin at the store and then walk around for an hour

If you don’t wanna break the bank, i’d suggest Fragrance World’s Spectre Ghost. Its 98% Black Phantom in killer ass packaging with an “analog” atomizer for $50…thank me later

Lovely fragrance, but not for me. Smells like a hyper-realistic chocolate liquor with a potent almond note. Very dark and mysterious, perfect for October. I can see why this is popular, but it’s just not my thing.

Smells just like the note breakdown. You will smell like an elegant dessert. The strong boozy smell with the nuttiness combined throws me off a bit but is also intriguing. I don't get smokiness as others have described. That's probably the boozy, coffee, nutty combo but to me it smells quite natural.

Boozy almond rich syrupy chocholate cake. Almond is a little bit much in the first hour and just continues on and on and on. If the almond was less dominant this would be very nice.

This reminds me of the breath of my teacher in elementary school. Coffee with milk and cigarettes breath 😩

I bought a 1 ml sample of this for around £6. Had to scrub this off after 5 minutes. To me, in those 5 minutes it smelled like a burning tire or something & very off-putting. I thought I would've liked this based on the note breakdown. How wrong was I!

Wow, this one was not for me. Not even a little bit. I spritzed a spray on my arm, took a sniff, and cringed. Smelled again, cringed again. Could not wash this one off fast enough. I can't say anything about performance or dry down or anything since this one lasted about 15 seconds on me. Good lord. Just no.

Very strong opening that is smokey and dark with caramel and coffee notes. The middle and dry down smell good and isn't as potent as the initial spray. Interesting combo of notes.

Quite potent sweet and Smokey unisex scent. Dark caramel with wood and coffee notes. Sillage was excellent, lasting power great, even on an extremely hot day. A little overwhelming at first, I am prone to feminine floral/gourmands. But grew on me after a while. Very sexy nighttime truly unisex fragrance.

I can understand why there are so many negative comments. I adore this perfume and you definitely need to have something dark in your character in order to love it and to wear it. It is not for everyone and that`s ok. I find it heavy and there is definitely something really unique about it. Yes, it can remind you of some other perfumes, but for me, the way in which rum, chocolate, coffee and caramel are blended is exquisite. Not to mention the beauty of the skull coffret. Pure love.

Of course, one is not without empathy for the perfumer's artistic prerogative, a desire to carve a niche amidst the aromatic tapestry. However, one remains resolute in the conviction that there exist a plethora of ingredients more fitting for this perfumed alchemy. The blending potential, oh, it could have soared to such heights if only a more harmonious ensemble had been chosen.

To reiterate, let us not be hasty in dismissing the fragrance's merits entirely. 'Tis, without doubt, a fragrance of considerable standing. Yet, one cannot help but raise an impeccably groomed eyebrow at its pricing stratum. In this realm of opulent fragrances, where the aroma should be nigh enchanting, one anticipates a certain transcendence.

Tested it in discovery set. It seems that liquorice is not officially listed but it's very dominant to my nose. Perhaps the mix of chocolate, coffee, and rum is giving a similar scent profile? I do like it nevertheless. It's quite smooth and enjoyable.

I swear it smells like peanut butter, so if you need something for your peanut butter baby cosplay, then look no further.

I have the one with the golden cap and performance is very good. 10 hours is well enough for me. Soon after I will be either taking a shower, or hit the sack anyway.
Who needs a fragrance performing beyond that?

38 y/o F here. I love this scent. It opens and just smells of old leather books and a bit of pipe tobacco. It's a bit pungent in the first few mins, but I love it. It gives me the same feels as when you eat Wasabi and it goes straight to your sinuses!haha
Then as it dries down, the smoky books mix with warm vanilla Bourbon, spice and coffee.

A smell that actually takes me to the idea of a place.. a coffee shop that also has a library of very old, leather bound books, and inexplicably the management doesn't mind if I smoke a cigar while I sip sweet Bourbon, and peruse their collection of classics.

I found it had decent longevity and moderate projection.. but honestly I bought it in sample and got a dupe exstrait and I find it smells exactly the same, blooms through the same scent story but the dupe projects and last so much longer .. and it's a small fraction of the price.
I'm wearing this in summer, but I tried the sample in the cooler months. I get more books and smoke in the cool, more sweet and coffee in the summer. But all notes are present regardless of the season

this is a seductive, incredibly sexy fragrance. it leans masculine as a unisex scent but i wear it from time to time as a woman. dark mysterious yet so incredibly comforting and sensual. I enjoy this, as someone who appreciates the craftsmanship behind fragrances and their stories this is a gem. It is a gourmand scent but no where near cloying. This is a gourmand a man can wear well. My goodness there is rum, coffee and dark chocolate in this, this is everything. to me it comes off as smoky. read up on the story of the black phantom "memento mori" name and why kilian chose this old pirate motto for this. This is divine. Sidonie Lancesseur is an artist that created a masterpiece

Coffee dominant scent with an airy chocolately nuance going on in the background. It has a slight bitterness to it that gives it some uniqueness, but it's really smooth and well done. Also, perfectly sweet and not cloying at all.

Quite similar to "Coffee & Whiskey" by Bath & Body, but a lot smoother and doesn't have that harshness to it that's in Coffee & Whiskey. I love both, but the smoothness in this one is to die for.

This scent is sweet booziness in the best way possible. The sugar cane takes me back to Cuba, remembering stopping at street stands, having a fresh pressed sugar cane juice as well as drinking a glass of rum in the evening. I can't stop sniffing the fragrance from my skin for all the hours I'm wearing it, which is about 8-10 hours. To me it's the perfect example of a sweet gourmand fragrance that does not get nauseating. It's a very sexy fragrance best worn in the evening or at night. It's less suitable for serious occasions as it is such a seductive fragrance. I perceive the sent as quite linear, with the sandalwood coming in a bit stronger by the late dry down. The caramel is present throughout the hours but does not take away the spotlight from the sugar cane in its plant and alcohol form, which is the true star of this heavenly delicious fragrance.

One of the best gourmand fragrances. The presentation is excellent and that dictates the high price. Black Phantom, along with Intoxicated and Angels' Share, are the three best fragrances from the Kilian house. It lasts about 10 hours on my skin and projects at 3 meters for the first 2 hours. 5-6 sprays are enough.

Smells like Baskin Robins brownie sundae with coffee, chocolate, and vanilla ice cream scoops and loads of chocolate sauce on top. Imagine you eating this deliciousness in winter while wearing a fancy natural black leather jacket that has an intense luxurious smell... unbelievably beautiful.

I know this has no leather note, but the combination in this fragrance has something that might make me feel as if there is a soft luxurious leather smell, and honestly, it's intoxicating.

The opening has LOADS of melted dark chocolate or chocolate sauce. I picked up the coffee in the background when the intense chocolate note faded a little. The sweetness is not much at all, which makes the whole composition SUPER dark, serious, and classy.

A signature scent worthy! Although it's not a totally new scent profile to my nose, it's definitely the BEST complete balanced combination ever.

It's very expensive 50 ml for $300! Insane! Definitely over-priced.

This scent reminds me of The One by Dolce and Gabbana. The One is much better and has more notes. This is good but not worth the price for a more linear The One scent. I love Love Don't Be Shy and Angel's Share a million times more!

My experience is that it is a very sweet scent such as a liquor and trouffle type mix, and such strength that it gives me a headache, i love the scent its very sexy and seductive to women, but i can only do 1 spray and very low on my body, it lasts quite a long time on clothes, and about 8 hours on skin. I love it, but its a bit strong on the boozyness and sweetness for my head. I give it a 9 out of 10.

Decadent from Luckyscents. Out of the small set i purchased, this was the only one that I could smell even when sealed and closed from the pouch.

During my shift I received two comments on this scent, firstly I had someone ask within my proximity if someone was wearing cocoa butter. The second comment was a woman asking me if I was wearing sunscreen and that she loved the smell of sunscreen, I assume she meant tanning oil- like banana boat.

This did not give me the coffee scent I was looking for, it's like a very sweet warm gourmand- mainly caramel for me. Maybe at best you can say it's like a caramel frappe from Starbucks. I will update and try this a few more times but I am not sure if these were the comments I was looking for in the context of wanting to smell like coffee. Lasts a while and clearly has projection.

Fragrance that unleashes dark character around, dress gently when you wear it and it will gives you a feeling I can’t describe but it’s something extraordinary with excellent longevity and very good projection been testing it for while and every time i wear this i love it more

This is a beautiful gourmand scent, you get a burst of Cacao and something similar to refined Chocolate, with the Rum and Sandalwood.
It projects above average for about 3-4 hours then dries down to something Lactonic like a milk product thats been open for sometime but hasn't gone bad.
I would advise to test it first.
My recommendation would be to buy it though, it's pricey for 50ml but you're paying for quality.
Longevity is above 10 hours for me.

Very interesting scent that keeps changing throughout the day! The initial spray smells identical to baby phat's seductive goddess---which I love! Then it quickly morphs into a deep, rich coffee/chocolate scent which is delicious! About 40 minutes into the scent though I pick up a very strange note, I don't know how else to describe it other than "old man smell" it's this strange powdery, musky, masculine scent, thankfully that doesn't last too long! It morphs once again into a sandalwood, heliotrope scent. I just wish this stayed coffee/chocolate instead of the powdery-ness.

Literally I only smell almonds. Open to finish. Really sad because I’ve been searching for coffee scents forever. I’ll just stick with intoxicated.

Edit: looks like that note is the cyanide note. I hate it.

Edit #2: It looks like the notes that were overwhelming me were the chocolate and rum playing behind the almond, making this overwhelming creamy almond or cyanide note I was detecting. After a few wears, I can distinguish between the notes more but it's still far too rich for me. I'll definitely pass along decants of my refill bottle, and will revisit this in the winter.

This is what you call the bitter-sweet perfection!.

This fragrance has truly grown on me, and now I absolutely adore it. I don't care what the weather is like; this is going to be my signature scent! No scent I have ever tried even comes close to its elegance and beauty.

As someone who has experience with the Middle East and is surrounded by people who imitate everything they see from the Middle East, this fragrance is incredibly unique.

When I wear black clothes and walk around with this sprayed on, I feel like Henry Cavill's Geralt of Rivia, the Witcher. I actually bought three new black shirts to go with this perfume. When I spray this on my chest, a musky, handsome, manly note lingers. I suppose it blends perfectly with my body chemistry.

This fragrance needs to be renamed "The Witcher Black" or "Vampire Hunter" or something similar. "Black Phantom" is supposed to smell like vampire lords, but I always imagined vampires to have a fragrance of roses and red wine, not rum and chocolate. I personally am not a big fan of vampires either.

For those who initially find the bitter notes repulsive, I recommend trying it in cold and dry weather first or turning on the AC.

"Insomnia" by Faviol Seferi is very similar to this, without that cyanide note and way cheaper from what I've read. Unfortunately, it's not sold in my country. Nevertheless, the bitter almond note is crucial for me, as that's the reason behind Black Phantom's perfect bittersweet balance.

This is definitely a dark, deep, sexy scent. Like strong brewed coffee in the morning after a wild night out at the bar.

Far less sweet than I expected. It’s quite loud at first, but it seems with most of Killian fragrances it doesn’t last very long and for the price I can’t bring myself to overspray.

Tobacco Oud Intense DNA without the singed wood accord…expensive, but fantastic. A fragrance I can never be without

This fragrance makes me appreciate the art of perfumery, cuz how the heck do they get it to smell this rich and with so many nutty, chocolatey accords. The sandlewood smooths it over nicely too. But too overpriced

in the opening i get really dark coffee + liquor which can be a little overwhelmingly toxic dark/masculine for the ladies but as it sits on the skin it becomes a nice sweet (still dark) addictive gourmand, on my skin i get a bit of floral hints too and that must be the heliotrope…its a challenging scent imo like you need to be dressed a certain way to carry it if ur a girl…performance and longevity is probably the best of kilian, it lasts for ages and projects well too

Very sophisticated, yet animalistic and alluring. It always seems that there's some secret in it, some sort of mystery. Everything's both clear and unclear at the same time. You look at the painting, but your eyes miss something every time, and you know it, you feel it. The most intimate remains between the lines, in halftones, in black.

A lot of people say it's too sweet - yes, it is. You can even get a headache if you overdo it. The emotions embedded in it are ramped up to the maximum and it successfully evokes them.
Reminded me of the great old David Usher song Black Black Heart. You fall in love with someone who will hurt you, but you can’t help yourself and give yourself up to this destructive passion.

There is not a drop of feminity on this fragrance. I don’t see it as unisex. For women don’t buy blind this without a sample. The internet overpraised it and bought it but I’m disappointed it’s very masculine it would smell good in a man not any type of man also. It fit cold weather wearing black and leather jacket. Unfortunately even my fiancé didn’t like it. It has a strong liquor scent if you not into that this is not for you.

This baby guided me into the world of niche perfume because how amazing it was for a teen growing up with designers to find a true unisex perfume that is dark, alluring while carry sweet softness. The rum opening so strong it lure me in like a trap that “this going to make you the bad boys from 80-90’ movies”. But that chocolate and caramel sweetness rounded out and make me felt like a femme fatale.

As the almond, sandalwood rise, it soften to be a scent that comfort you after a night out, cozy, slightly warm and the lingering sweet and booze from all the fun. The heliotrope add to this effect and slowly it became an alluring skin scent on me from bring a projection monster. Perfect night out scent, it tell a story to me and have a special place in my heart

I just bought a 50 ml bottle, the black/gold-tone one.
At the beginning I smell strong coffee and rum. It is delicious. It works amazing with my PH.
After 4-5 hours it turns into a smooth sandalwood with a hint of caramel scent.

Someone below already said that but this truly smells like Baileys Irish Cream. It's alcoholic at first then becomes more chocolatey and caramely then more and more caramely even milky. Because this fragrance is simple I like to layer with something that's more challenging and not as sweet to create complexity.

My biggest complaint is that considering how simple this scent is the price is pretty high. Great stuff nonetheless for both boys and girls.

Very pretty. I don't feel cool enough to wear this. The only other chocolate fragrance I have experience with is Angel Muse, and I like this one much better. Chocolate and rum dominate the first few hours. Eventually, the chocolate and rum die down some, and I can smell each note in the dry down. I like it!

Unfortunately I absolutely hated this. I was pulled in by all the amazing reviews, but on me, it smelt like awful baby powder. If you have unique skin chemistry like myself, best to get a sample first before you invest in the full bottle.

There is something intoxicating in this perfume I can’t describe. I relay more on the feeling a scent gives me than the notes. This one have a scent of a decay which is surprisingly pleasant. It is the Memento Mori (Moment of Death) after all! Lives to its name perfectly!

The feeling of it reminds Alexander McQueens beloved Kingdom. It is powerful and magnificent.

Only a certain someone can really pull this one off. It will be overwhelming for many, the perfume will wear them instead of the other way around.

Opens with a blast of dark chocolate, roasted coffee and caramel. A healthy dose of dark rum adds a helpful boozy accord and heliotrope gives a modern, floral airiness; Just enough to lift the fragrance to an extra level. The fragrance feels dark, mysterious, gourmand and exciting. As the fragrance mellows the sugar cane adds a perfect sweetness and lightens the fragrance. The longevity is excellent and the silage is just enough to fill the room, but not enough to overpower the experience. A fantastic modern gourmand.

This smells like a chocolate delectable. It's really good. The dark gourmand style of scent makes this something alluring on a lady. I wore it and on me it was dark, sweet, and a little boozy. It's nice.

I agree with the liqueur truffle comments, smells like powder dusted chocolates filled with nuts and rum. I get a nutty sugared coffee scent from this in the beginning then chocolate then heliotrope in the drydown. If heliotrope is not a good perfume note for you, sample this before blind buying!!! I get a lot of heliotrope in the base with a hint of caramel, rum, and chocolate. I also detect the cyanide almond vibe, a bit bitter and metallic? Not really sure how to describe that facet.

It opens like a Baileys then evolve into a Starbucks home spray, a very good one if you are into a crazy amount of gourmand notes mixed together. A sweetned Lait Russe with vodka and marshamallow, there is a toasted nuttiness combines with some dark cocoa powder and the milk chocolate to give off subtle whiffs of something resembling Nutella.
The 1st hour is delicious but all that doesn't stay like this during all the evolution who can be describe as a generalized, very hazy caramel bouquet, a soft orb of sweetness and warmth in which one can see glimmers of sandalwood-ish woodiness, heliotrope meringue, brown sugar, vanilla and coumarin.
There are some rather delectable aspects to Black Phantom when it’s smelt from a distance, and a certain cozy, childhood comfort quality.
So of course the question is : why i would pay this amount for a good gourmand? the most diffused and copied olfactory family on the market, from the zacharine bomb of LaVieEstBelle to L'Homme Ideal EDP delicious almond cherry, the 5stars boozy liqueur delight of Korrigan and tons of other super cheap things as Pink Sugar.
