This is one of the best fragrances from the brand. I still own the old formula with the red juice and it is just amazing. The opening is so good with high quality Neroli and Orange Blossom. The marshmallows and caramel never get too cloying on me everything is blended well. It creates a sweet seductive cloud around you. This performs great as well I get great sillage and longevity. One of the longer lasting kilians. I keep a backup of the old formula when I run out because it is that good.

LadyKendall

This perfume smells exactly like bug spray to me. Like, identical. I don’t smell any of the notes listed in this perfume, to the point where I’m convinced mine must have gone bad to smell so different.

AleMHS

Absolutely delicious and surprisingly comforting. I am considering a second bottle as once it ages it gets even better.

You can smell the individual notes if you take time to piece them apart, but it is so well blended and so delightful experienced together. I can pick out orange blossom, neroli, honeysuckle, and marshmallow. Together they smell like a more mature and luxurious version of the sweetheart candy you used to receive on Valentine’s Day as a child.

I may be addicted.

inchukalns

Sweet gourmand scent. Top notes disappear fast and after about 20 minutes I smell cotton candy, marshmallows and caramel. Can't complain - I imagine this is what Alice was wearing before emerging into Wonderland. A smell for a good, bit geeky girl. Very young and feminine, very light, joyful and safe if you like sweet perfumes. Perfect for daytime in fall or winter. On the negative side I'd say it's quite unoriginal for the price and not very long lasting, at least on me it lasts 2-3 hours tops.

SmellyCat85

I managed to obtain a sample of this because I refuse to pay a ridiculous amount of money for something I might dislike.
The sample was a reddish colour, which I gather from other reviews is a very good thing.

This is literally a smoother, more vanilla version of Hypnotic Poison!! It's just "nice" it's not spectacular and definitely not worth that ridiculous price tag!!
I genuinely can't say it's anything special. It's just a nice generic perfume that the majority will like.

I already have Kayali Vanilla 28 & Hypnotic Poison so I don't need to buy this as I can just layer those two.
If you have disposable income then go ahead and buy it but I personally don't think it's worth over £80!

candieslove

A unique sweet floral citrusy scent. Something that a little girl and a woman can enjoy. This perfume is both cute and sexy at the same time. The more it dries down, the more this fragrance smells like candies

italiancandi

To add to all the positive reviews, this stuff ages like FINE WINE 🍷 stop being scared, order it you need this in your collection.

pinkfairygumdrop

I love this fragrance so much its hard to put into words. After using a dupe for years (but trying/smelling the real one too) I finally said fuck it and bought the real deal a week ago and it's all I have worn since
I thought my dupe was good (dossier) but the real thing is miles above. it seems softer and creamier and since i picked up a 2 yr old batch, it actually lasts on me
if you love sweet scents and haven't tried this, i beg you, go sample it somewhere
when it dries down its the most sexy, intoxicating marshmallow/ caramel/ orange blossom scent I have ever tried in my life. nothing will ever compare to this. once it warms up on your pulse points is when the magic happens
it haunts me and almost brings a tear to my eye how beautiful this is
so well blended, high quality, beautiful bottle, stunning scent
what more can you want???
I see myself loving this for the rest of my life and will never get tired of this smell
Bless you Kilian Hennessy and Calice Becker for bestowing this upon us
IMO this perfume is absolutely stunning and I wouldn't change a thing.

Whiff_Of_Brilliance101

I went to try this out at the Killian counter, I sprayed both on my pulse points and also on a sample card and on my skin it took 1 hour for the fragrance to truly project and develop. On the sample card the fragrance developed in the first 10 minutes. On my skin it was a bit “floral” in the beginning but my favorite part was when 45 minutes later I could finally smell the base notes and that delicious caramel, sugar and vanilla comes out and it becomes very sweet, feminine and comforting.

In my opinion, it’s not a summer fragrance because it can be quite overwhelming when the weather gets too hot however I think this will be beautiful in the autumn and winter! I will definitely be buying this either in the 50ml or the travel spray set later on and wear it as an everyday fragrance 🤌

jamesjohns

the it girl of it girls to me. sweet & delicious, sugar-crusted flowers & a wanton sensuous base. she flirts so you don't have to

JocelynDinah

So nice and sugary sweet. I’m addicted to this. Also reminds me of the pink hubba bubba chewing gum I used to have as a kid. It’s not super strong and I don’t know how much the scent projects but I do still catch little whiffs of it after a day of wearing. I also have a bottle of D&G pour femme, and it’s completely different. This is way sweeter, the D&G is more orange blossom heavy.

_nuenue

A very comforting scent. For hyperfeminine, cute girls. Everyone will want to eat you. The vibe is innocent, sweet darling.
Unfortunately sooo expensive though… you can find similar scents and buy 3 of them instead of one 30 ml bottle for 250€. Very unfortunate because its a lovely scent…

Johntaylorsmullet

Amazing. One of the best gourmands I have ever had the pleasure of smelling and owning.

niepokoya

I want a bottle of this so bad, but the price... oof. Smells like sweet tarts to me. Innocent, simple, sugary sweet. 100% my kind of scent.

choupette.1

Uplifting. Sweet, but bright. Joyful.
When I first tried this one, the intense sweetness put me off, as I prefer more fresh scents. However, this one dries to a delicious, almost creamy, and classy scent. To me, it's the perfect balance, between a sugary bomb and pure feminine power in a bottle. My happy scent! Reminds me of how beautiful it is to seek out adventures and mainly enjoy the ride. To surrender. The playfulness of this perfume is simply addictive.ೃ࿔

Ruyisa19

this fragrance is so yummy and sweet. At first I wasn't too sure cause it really was extremely syrupy sweet but the more i wore it the more addicted I became. It smells like if you were eating orange-sicle flavored marshmallows outside and you had a bush of blooming honeysuckles somewhere near you. Lots of compliments. Super feminine. Lasts a long time. It is very expensive so I think i will want to get a travel size.

FlowerSeeker

Super sweet vanilla mixed with a lovely white floral and a touch of citrus. Very nice. Sort of smells like classic orange vanilla ice cream. I would wear this any time of year.

loves2read

Too weak for me, just like other Kilians. I would love to smell it properly as the others do.

sononswife

powdered sugar fairy ⋆。°✩ i wasn't sure if i liked this from the opening, but the dry down is so yummy. love the marshmallow note in this. just opened my bottle today and theres light sillage and moderate longevity. hopefully the scent gets stronger over time as other people have said.

sunnybun

This is SO feminine, so sweet, so pretty. Unfortunately I can't afford such an expensive perfume so I'll be on the lookout for something similar.

Edit: I have Ansaam Gold and to my nose it's not similar at all.

canadianpetite

Lovely although I am partial to musky florals and with addition of vanilla - it's just right...for everyday. It reminds me of something that Atelier Cologne might do or Prada Iris Infusion. Vanilla and musk lead in the forefront with a hint of bergamot and iris to keep it from being too gourmand. Perfect for day wear. With max two spritz, it easily passes as an office scent or anywhere in close quarters.

One spray on me:
Sillage: close to skin
Longevity: up to 6 hours (nose to wrist)
Rating: 3/5

russianprincess98

One of the sweetest perfumes I've ever smelled... at first I disliked this perfume. It was so strong it gave me a headache.

BUT.

I tried to do 1 spray this time and I instantly fell in love. I think if you spray more than once it can be overwhelming bc it has a strong sillage/power and it's super sweet. But one spray? Wow, it's truly a cloud of marshmallows, orange blossom & vanilla... soooo delicious, feminine and sexy. It's really that girl 😍

miimiis

Yuck, medicine. This smells exactly like an inhaler I had to use when I had colds as a child. Disgusting and gross. I'm seeing people writing that this is a safe blind buy, but it is not. Aside from my "inhaler trauma", it's sickly sweet, it's overpowering, headache inducing. I someone is wearing this around me I would definitely get a headache, maybe get a little dizzy. It's very strong, definitely try it before committing to a full bottle.

XOXO_marcel

A soft yet penetrating sweet musk. The scent itself is not unique, but the quality is. Very nice.

This is a huge public service announcement and a not-so-close-kept secret about Love Don’t be Shy…—Age it. Literally put it away for 2 years. I know that’s a long time, but when I first bought this perfume, it was powdery and sweetheart smelling— and it wasn’t baad but I wasn’t crazy about it like I am now. It was like sickly sweet and def not something I reached for often. So I put it away, and when i pulled it out, let me tell you IT AGED LIKE WINE. The liquid got to a very dark red and the vanilla became way more prominent and the perfume was overall way more syrupy and less powdery (where people are picking up on that “grandma” smell). I just bought a new one and it smells exactly like how my old one smelled when I first bought it, before i aged it. (i have the white bottle for both. I’ve never owned the black bottle.) Once aged, the scent is out of this world. Heavenly.

Cloverdosee

Kind of at a loss for words.. it’s just so unbelievably scrumptious and addictive. It almost feels like a drug.. the more I smell it, the more I feel like I need to smell it lmaoo. In a way it kinda reminds me of how double bubblegum smells.. (that pink gum in yellow and blue wrapping that tastes absolutely divine for a total of 30 seconds before you have to spit it out lol.) Need to make my 5ml last because she’s a beauty

weltprinzessin

this was love at first spray for me. it opens sweet and fresh with a punch of creamy neroli that smells good enough to eat. as it dries down, the vanilla begins to come forward. the coriander is subtle, just enough to tickle the nose.

it lasts all day long, projects effectively, and makes me feel like a princess. this is my favorite perfume i own! seeing all of the reviews about it aging beautifully has me very excited for my future with this scent.

love, don't be shy in a few words: soft, twinkling, saccharine

rose_nymph

This is extremely sweet.
To me, it smells like a luxurious syrup, maybe orange cream (?). It's like an orange cream sundae.
I can see others liking this who adore super sweet gourmands, but this is very, very, very sweet. Too sweet for me.
But it is a beautiful fragrance.

Edit: Combined with some other fragrances I have , today I got a compliment at work from my boss. Ok. This is growing on me lol

Frangipanilove

The older I get, the less I like over-sickly gourmands. I am also not fond of hugely overpriced ‘life style’ brands so its a double no from me. Way too sugary and sweet and whereas I can work with something like Parfums de Marly’s Oriana, Love dont be shy is simply too sweet with a slightly irritating aspect to it (think this is the bergamot coriander combo that somehow results in a very pointed note). This is a perfume for girls in their 20s with daddy’s money.

brlp

Unfortunately this is my first absolute failure of a purchase. On paper it smelled nice, not groundbreaking, but nice. So naturally since it is a sugary scent and I love sugar and sweet perfumes, I bought it. Then I realized this is too sweet for me. It is a bubblegum-y scent with lots of citrus, and somehow smells like cooked rice (in a bad way) to my nose. I could’ve sworn there was tuberose in it, maybe it’s the orange blossom. But I’m not a fan of citruses, especially citrus/sweet combo. And I can’t get over that rice smell 😬

Shimmer412

Sugary Sweet, feminine, flirty, addictive, luxurious floral marshmallow. A really beautiful, sugary sweet, powdery, vanilla and orange flower marshmallow scent. There’s also a lovely somewhat creamsicle like scent to it, probably due to the orange blossom, neroli, bergamot, vanilla, and sugar. I do pick up on the other floral notes as well (I don’t get any rose), but they’re more delicate and subtle. I also get just a soft hint of musk. I really don’t pick up on anything spicy like the pink pepper or coriander, just the wonderful sugary sweet floral marshmallow.

I’ve had a somewhat interesting experience with this fragrance. I blind bought it a couple/few years ago because it fits my style of sweet gourmand fragrances, and because of how highly it was recommended. At first I didn’t overly like it, but I couldn’t put my finger on why exactly. I do remember thinking that it was almost too sweet even for me. I decided to keep it and continued to try it occasionally to see if my feelings changed. Finally, this winter I sprayed some on and was like “oh wow I smell amazing!”! I still don’t know what changed, but I’m so glad that I didn’t give up on this incredible fragrance!

Just for some reference, some of my other favorite sweet/gourmand fragrances include: Gold Sugar, Pink Sugar, Kayali Vanilla 28, Kayali Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar, Kayali The Wedding Silk Santal, Nest Golden Nectar, Ralph Lauren Beyond Romance, Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Eau So Sweet, SDJ Cheirosa 62, VS Tease Creme Cloud, and VS Tease Candy Noir.

I get absolutely exceptional performance with Love Don’t Be Shy. Honestly it’s probably the best performing fragrance I’ve ever used (I have a collection of well over 200!)! The longevity is really amazing… it easily lasts the entire day and it would last the next day too if you wanted. The projection is incredible too, it radiates out several feet from me (if I spray more than just once or twice). Since it’s performance is so fantastic I only use 1-2 sprays whenever I’m wearing it (that’s plenty for me with this one), so I feel like that actually makes this a really good value even at its high price because even my travel spray will last a super long time.

2bClare

Photorealistic juicy orange blossom that lifts off the skin in a cloud of sugar. The heart brings in the unmistakable scent of gardenia to join the orange, along with some powdery Iris and syrupy honeysuckle. For all these heavy florals, it still maintains a somewhat light feeling.

The base is a combo of vanilla and caramel with a touch of musk that creates the marshmallow effect people talk about. I think it’s this lighter base that keeps the perfume feeling young and modern, even with all the over the top florals. LDBS is an ultra sweet perfume that has been blended well but even so you probably won’t like it if you don’t like the sweet stuff. That said, I don’t like the super sweet stuff myself and I do like this, for wearing inside the privacy of my home. There’s something very joyful and light about it- it’s a mood lifter. Sillage is a 6 foot bubble around the wearer for the first couple hours, then it becomes more of a skin scent. and lasts about 8 hours on the skin. The last two hours are pure vanilla. This is feminine.

grapesofwrath

I want to smell like this all the time. Unfortunately I cannot because it costs a pretty schmeckle. I feel like scents absorb into my skin super fast and I can rarely find a perfume that I can still smell on myself after a couple hours, but this scent is so ODD and SPECIFIC that it is very distinguishable. You cant miss it. To me it's gorgeously sterile and sharp and strong and badass. Like in a feminine-but-doesnt-GAF-about-men kind of way. It's incredibly sexy and skinny and a scent only someone super skinny and sexy would wear. I can't imagine this on an ugly person. I'm gonna try the oakcha or dossier dupes and pray they're the same because I want to BATHE in this.

Larisaaaaaa

This is a safe blind purchase if you like super sweet perfumes like Viva La juicy, and the OG Victoria’s Secret perfumes. It's funny to me how people buy this bc Rihanna wears it and they don't like sweet scents but get upset that this is... a sweet scent? lol. LDBS (Love, Dont be Shy) is way way more sweet than anything I have ever tried. And it’s sweet in a very luxurious way where it’s not synthetic or cheap smelling. I see what people mean when they describe this perfume as smelling like bubble gum (yes!), grapes, smarties, sweethearts, orange fudgcicle and cotton candy (Baccarat rouge is more of a warm cotton candy smell, and this is more of a cool cotton candy scent— these perfumes do not smell anything alike though, they’re just both sweet). All of those reviewer descriptions are accurate. Wait for the dry down to get to those sugary vanilla base notes. The top notes are not my favorite, but they go away pretty quickly. Try spraying this on a sweater and coming back to the sweater the next day—the scent will transform into a fluffy marshmallow scent. Which I'm confused why Fragrantica doesn't list marshmallow seeing as how Killian lists that as the notes in this perfume. Other notes Killian lists are gardenia, juicy honeysuckle and amber. Why're these not listed on this site? Owning this bottle, I personally like it in the summer because the heat really brings up the base notes which are my favorite; sugar, vanilla, white florals. As far as longevity, sometimes this would leave a very strong smell on my fingers just from handling the bottle. Other times I would douse myself in LDBS and it would sit close to the skin. You get used to it quickly but you will also like it more and more as you wear it and as it ages. As far as the mixed reviews, I do think perfumes like this can smell way different on one person as opposed to another. Same with if you spray on your body or clothes, time of day, season, humidity, your personal pH, and if its aged which leads me to my next point;

I do not believe this perfume has been reformulated like many suggest, just repackaged from the black bottle. Here's what's going on; when I first bought this, it was light orange and the scent was more airy and smelled like smarties/sweettarts-so a little powdery. So I put it away for a few years and honestly forgot about it. I pulled it out and the juice was very DARK red and was way sweeter. Also, the vanilla note became wayyy more prominent. Some say they purposefully age their Love Don't Be Shy for this very reason, so that it can get sweeter and have better performance.

Compliment getter? When I first bought this years ago, not really. Once it aged and got sweeter, yes! I opened my house door and my sister who never cares about my perfumes was like omg you smell amazing. Also when I was teaching Sunday school, one of my kids said "something smells like marshmallows!". Interesting how such a unique note can be so prominent and distinguishable. Again, it baffles me that it's not listed here as it's the #1 thing I and others pick up on.

So, LDBS--very yummy dry down, very yummy when aged. I can see the rave and why people think Rihanna smells so good.

vintagebombshell1214

literally heaven in a bottle. love, love, love. but my wallet doesn't. this is truly something i could wear everyday. sweet, floral, gourmand. i adore it, and so does my man, i wore it on our first movie date when i had a tiny sample and since then i bought a travel size (8mL) for $68CAD and i every time i wear it, to this day it is like a magnet for him. the longevity is AMAZING, i smell it on my clothes days afterwards. the sillage is just enough to be noticeable, like "who smells so good?" not "who smells so strong?". i give this 1000000000/10, just wish it wasn't so expensive

Anastuki

It smells like Confetti (Sugared almonds), that means mostly sugar, powdery and rose water. But in a very nice way! Confetti is something we offer in weddings in Greece, so it makes as a perfect wedding perfume as well! Both projection and longevity are insane on me as and men love this one on women, it is so feminine!!!

Ajlis

LDBS is a really good fragrance and deserves the hype it's getting. It’s not necessarily ground-breaking or particularly unique, but a really beautiful and pleasant, feminine perfume that exudes quality. The scent is simple yet lovely: fresh orange blossom blends with the sweetness of marshmallows, creating a bright and cozy combination. At first sniff, LDBS and Sintra by Memo Paris smell quite similar, but Sintra is more overpowering and suffocating, while LDBS is lighter, airier, and even ethereal. If I had to choose between the two, this would definitely be my choice. However, I'm personally more into woody and unisex scents, so I'll leave this beautiful perfume to others.

katiesimpsonhair

This is a beautiful scent and is sweet and syrupy I love it but it has zero projection. For the price of this I’m incredibly disappointed.

celestialmadz

i have the travel size of this- been wearing it lately because it feels like a good spring scent- it's always smelled like bubble gum/marshmallow to me. BF is OBSESSED with it and told me I need to buy the full size and he will contribute because he thinks it smells that delicious. kind of perfect for when i want to smell like a cotton candy fairy princess, very very feminine to my nose

ShowMustGoOn

Sugar, orange blossom. More sugar, boiled sugar. Floral explosion. It blossoms in spring! I can’t wear this scent in winter - it is kind of dull in the cold months. In the summer it is too cloying. It’s a solid scent though. A strong like, not a love for me. Like, don’t be shy. ☺️

Kelle23

Me (on first spray)- Why does this smell like grape soda?
Me (an hour later)- Why do I now love grape soda?
It doesn't last long on me but then again nothing does. I'll love it while it lasts!

aeterna

This smells like bubblegum on my skin. And I absolutely love it :)
This is not your typical sweet, heavy gourmand scent. It's a lighthearted, sparkly, fun, summer scent for those who are young at heart.
Not for everyone most likely, so I recommend trying it on first. Reminds me of Byredo Sundazed a little bit.
Doesn't smell cheap at all, not the body spray quality, nothing chemical or irritating here.

uresuchadream

extremely strong bubble gum wrapper dust scent

Kingsley313

Caramel and vanilla? What is this a pastry? Next!

Vintagehearts91

This smelled like orange and vanilla ice cream on my skin. Not in a good way though. I’m sure it smells great on the right skin chemistry.

dandelionsandfire

It’s sweethearts candy exactly on the dry down. On the initial spray, it’s a pretty orange blossom but that’s the only time I smell it. I wanted a marshmallow perfume to add to my collection and I don’t even smell a hint of it.

Overall this isn’t worth the price tag because sweetheart candy smells chalky, cheap, and doesn’t even taste good to me, so I wouldn’t want to smell like this.

Officiallyvile

Although they say that it is supposed to smell like marshmallow, I do not think so. This is not marshmallow, this is literally Juicy Fruit chewing gum in a bottle. It is too synthetically sweet, like not just regular sugar but the kind of sugar that they add into artificial powder drinks or energy drinks. To me it smells exactly like fruity chewing gum x10 in intensity and it kinda overwhelms me not in a good way. Besides, if I want to smell like chewing gum i can find cheaper and more subtle Bath and Body works alternatives. The longevity is great but since i do not like the smell, it is not a good thing for me. I use it to layer with masculine scents in my collection to soften them a bit. Cant imagine this is Rihana's smell because it does not give Rihanna vibes. If anything this is more like 2000s Paris Hilton or something :)) Good choice if you are into Barbie :)) But not for me.

hayleyard

Two words: root beer.

Kilian fragrances are to die for! This is an exquisite scent with uniqueness and attractiveness, it's a purely feminine scent though and especially for the ladies who love to have sweetness sprayed all over, they would own it gladly. However, at first few days, I was crazy for this scent but then I realized that it's way too sweet and it is making me dizzy. I looked for the inspirations of Kilian fragrances online and a couple of options popped up however I tried three dupes to test the sweetness and selected Be In Love by Dua. It's such a perfect scent, creamy and rich, it's so much better than the original!!

VanillaV

Sniffing my wrists makes my eyes roll back when I'm wearing this warm sugary magic! Absolutely delicious. I'm shocked that marshmallow was left out of the notes here on Fragrantica! 🧐

From Kilian:

Fragrance story: First love’s innocence makes itself known with juicy honeysuckle and plush rose softly caressed by the sweetness of luscious marshmallow sugar accord, satisfying the craving pang of new love. A warm amber base lends a pulsing touch of sensuality, hinting the possibility of soon knowing another soul, inside and out.

Key notes: Neroli, Orange Blossom, Marshmallow

Luckyscent:

The Scoop (Luckyscent)
Kilian says the inspiration of Love (Don't Be Shy) was the marshmallow… a mouth watering treat for sensuous connoisseurs. It's sweet (but not overly) and tender at first, a soft and sugared elixir mixed with the orangey delights of bergamot and neroli, warmed with caramel and vanilla...

Key Notes from Sephora:

Orange blossom, Vanilla Absolute, Luscious Marshmallow

For me, the beautiful marshmallow is the star of the show in this. A sweet Creamsicle dream! Fruity Pebbles have been mentioned. I understand why, but it isn't simple or juvenile. I had one of the dupes. LDBS feels smoother, well blended, not as harsh in the opening. It might be even sweeter? It could be that the marshmallow is just prettier from the start in this than it is in Floral Marshmallow.

Love... has become a top shelf favorite of mine. Signature worthy! This perfume is definitely noticeable without being beastly. People compliment it, and it lasts all day. Finally! That's unusual nowadays. So many I've tried fade so fast, upsetting given the high price tags. This can be worn year round. The citrus notes make it work during warmer weather. She's also rich, cozy and comforting, ideal for the cooler months.

Some people will hate this just because it's popular and has gained cult status over the years due to it supposedly being worn by a certain celebrity. If that is true, she's a billionaire and can afford to wear any perfume in the world, and she chose this one. None of that nonsense really matters. Sometimes something is loved by the masses because it deserves to be.

If you hate marshmallows or sweet gourmand perfumes then Love, Don't Be Shy obviously isn't for you. But also, you have no soul. 😉

You can get a 100ml bottle on the Kilian website now! 50ml was the largest size available before. The 100ml is $450. The 50ml is $295. I know, that's crazy! It's too expensive for my budget. I suppose I can manage one bottle or refill per year. Maybe for my birthday or Christmas, an extra special treat for myself. It's better than buying several disappointing cheapies throughout right? The bottle would last until the next year. This is worth it! And, so are we! Consider it aromatherapy for your mental health. Okay, enough of my gushing. I'm sorry, it seems I've fallen hard for this gorgeous gem. 🥰💎

If you are on the hunt for a vanilla/marshmallow/citrus scent at least get yourself a sample of the genuine juice! 🧡😋

wrldndr

Nauseatingly sweet. I smell zero florals, and way too much sugar. I can’t stand this one

CrabsuitLando

I smelled this at Neiman Marcus & it was one of my favorites. VERY sweet & reminded me of a rainbow marshmallow candy. It's unique, not something I'd want to smell all of the time though - probably wear it only a couple times a month.

Interesting and unique fragrance! Very sweet but can be nauseating

Oriana by PDM (or Reyna - Oriana's Dupe) is much better in my opinion

clb97x

Before I purchased this, I had PDM Oriana. I wasn't sure which to buy but, ultimitely, from reading reviews and having both testers I went for Oriana first. I recently found my sample from a year ago of this perfume and decided to put it on again. I realised why I bought Oriana, the initial spray of LDBS was a little masculine leaning for me, perhaps with it being quite strong and deep smelling, whereas the similar noted Oriana was a lot more fresh which drew me to that originally. Oriana is much more fruity and citrus like. HOWEVER, after letting this dry down on my skin, it started to get more and more creamy, caramel and sweet smelling. I absolutely love gourmond fragrances so I was quite surprised i had forgotten about this one or if my sense of smell had got better ha! This dries down a sweet, caramel, warm marshmallow scent and I immediately purchased a full size bottle. WOW after wearing this for a few hours the scent was heavenly! I do not got the bubblegum scent some others have said, it is very warm and sophisticated to me. If you have Oriana, this is like the sexier, more grown older sister!

Steph_DSXO

This is a truly stunning scent.
My first reaction upon spraying it was literally ‘wow! This is stunning!!’ And it didn’t change upon dry down.
This is a very sweet, sugary, vanilla scent with a hint of citrus to break up the sweetness. Definitely a gourmand without being juvenile. I also feel due to the notes, it’s very much one you can wear day or night, warm or cool weather.
Lasting power isn’t bad but the price point is far too high. You can get dupes online which smell identical.
Absolutely gorgeous scent and a pretty safe blind buy for sweet/gourmand lovers but go for a good dupe as there are plenty out there!

crickette

whoever left a review saying this perfume smells like ants ruined my life because now that's all i smell. i tried taking a break from ldbs for a few months but i recently came back and still get the ant note :(

SmellLush

I finally got to smell this at a local Sephora and man it really did not live up to the hype. Maybe it smells good on someone else, and I can usually appreciate a unique scent but this smelled like strong Liquorice to me and nothing else. There was a tiny bit of a bubble gum smell but the other scent was strong that it made me want to wash it off and it lasted so long after I tried to wash it off. Everyone has hyped this up so much but I highly recommend not blind buying it. I was tempted to because I couldn't find a tester in stores. I am SO GLAD I didn't yuck. It really made me feel a bit sick. And I love super strong odd scents even those I don't particularly care for I can appreciate but not this. IDK if I got a bad batch but I have no idea why people like this. I guess there is a SLIGHT marshmellow but it is barely there at all and fades.

russianblue

Synthetic bubblegum, believe me

Bijousmere

My boys, who are 7 and 9 said this smelled soooooo good compared to Angels Share which I also had tried on my other arm. I was surprised to hear their blatant dislike of Angels Share actually, because I thought the apple pie note would be yummy to their little noses. But no, they preferred LDBS and told me it smelled sooo nice! I personally would not spend the money on a full size, perhaps I would on the the $50 travel spray but in all honesty, this is not such a unique scent that warrants the kind of money they’re asking. I will seek the dupes for this.

bandlgertrude

I wanted to like this so badly because I love marshmallow and based on popularity it seemed to be right up my alley. It’s very floral and strong and sweet which is ok, unfortunately I don’t get much marshmallow (which looking at the notes it doesn’t even have). The problem is I was actually repulsed by this, I think it’s the civet which is really animalic, combined with labdanum (by itself I’ve never had a problem with it). I really couldn’t get past this and so I gifted my 7,5 ml sample to someone else. I can understand the hype as all the frangrances from Killian do smell really good but this one just isn’t for me. Florals that I truly enjoy are Dahlia Divin, Mariah Carey M (once the liquid macerates the sweetness subsides significantly and it’s ambery floral) and Crystal Noir.

malake

it has a green note in the beginning that I didn'tt expect, i'm not sure i like it, i think i prefer oriana

Shanty36

Denser, stronger version of Oriana. If you’re looking for an airier, more versatile version I’d go with that one. Not the exact same but very similar. It almost reminds me of rootbeer in the opening lol. I know that sounds strange but like a light vanilla rootbeer and I like it. I do think Kilian as a house is overrated and overpriced BUT this one is the best I’ve smelled from the house so far. I don’t actually find it as similar to sintra as oriana but same family. I have all 3 which may be a bit redundant but I’m not mad at it. The travel sets from Kilian are gorgeous so if you can grab those on a discount I highly recommend.

MaggieFrag

Yuck, awful!
This smells like someone tried to spray a cheap fruity air freshener after leaving the toilet.
It makes me smell worse than my skin scent.

The dry down is a little more tolerable, but I want to gag from the initial spray.

Annamollie26

I really like this scent, but I also absolutely think it smells like slightly chalky/powdery pink bubblegum. That isn't a negative for me, so it's still great, but I am a little bummed I don't get all the subtlety that some people get from it.

nisarsarah9

Absolute beauty. Love this scent and the sillage but the only thing killing me is the overpowering dry down. It makes me nauseous at times. Is there a dupe of this available in the market that is not too over powering and strong and can be a good alternate then please let me know. I would like to try it out. Thanks in advance!

Texasperumefan

Smells like the inside of a grandmother’s purse. Like generic candy. I wanted to love this one, I thought this was the ultimate fragrance. It gets shout outs all the time in songs and in media, so I was expecting this amazing perfume, and I was underwhelmed. Try before you buy, even if you love sweet stuff.

sugarh1ccup

I was so excited for this one, but it smells like orange grandma candy to me. It does get me compliments however, so I know that it is well liked by others. Not worth the hype imo but could be worth the travel size bottle.

LoreinaL

Overtly sweet, to a sickening extent. It smells so artificial to me. I cannot get past the artificial aspect of this fragrance. It's really strong, directly giving me a headache. My husband gagged.

Meredithe

I don't care if it's worn by almost every girl and woman out there because Rihanna made it popular. I haven't smelled anything like this before and I think it's unique. It makes me happy every time I spray it and that's what counts. And I wasn't a gourmand girl until I got this. It struck me as very sweet at first but it is toned down by flower notes so older ladies can wear it too. It's a narcotic for sure. Still getting compliments.

Lbustos2

This perfume is so nostalgic for me. Maybe because I’ve worn it on every single first date I’ve ever been on. Wearing this perfume makes me feel like I embody sweet, sensual confidence. It’s a favorite of mine forever. Seriously, I’ve been loyal to this perfume for years. It smells like sweet, syrupy flowers and pink marshmallows. I’m not a notes expert, but off the top of my head I can say this perfume smells like – white, screechy florals. Pink marshmallows. Strawberry syrup. Sweet amber. It’s not too complex, so it will be pleasantly received by most. I’ve gotten so many compliments on this. It’s a sweet perfume, and if you’re a sweet kind of girl, LDBS is definitely for you. Although, I will say sometimes the white florals smell a little too metallic on me, it helps that I don’t overspray next time.

Ty/dc

No need to over think it with this one. The listed notes are what you get; vanilla, musk, caramel, orange blossom, bergamot, rose and so on. Overall it’s floral, sweet, sugary and smells amazing!

It’s seems quite popular to hate on nowadays but 95% of the general population are going to love the way you smell wearing this.

It’s fun and playful so maybe not the kind of fragrance you’d wear to a ballroom event but for nights out clubbing, dates etc it’s great.

Of course we all have of own personal preferences of what we like to wear, so definitely sample first!

h149

My husband immediately bristled at this, insisting repeatedly it's cough medicine, and I see from the reviews that that's a very common negative interpretation. When I have "grape cough syrup" in my mind and pin my nose to my wrist to smell it then that's exactly what I pick up. But from a passing whiff (and it does project, strongly) it smells like a "toy" fragrance that might come with a pretend set of cosmetics made for children to play dress up with, or like a scratch and sniff sticker of a cake. There's just something deeply unserious about this, it's so nastily and one-dimensionally sweet. Maybe instead of "Love" it should be called "Immaturity"

Nayru

Prefiero mil veces el good girl gone bad

vanillashpice

jelly beans , emergen-c and candied fruit

Miss_K

I am so very surprised nobody here has mentioned that this perfume is an exact copy of Benevolence by House of Sillage. This was a blind buy for me and I was very disappointed to find that I already own this fragrance in a different bottle (Benevolence). I like it, but did not expect it to be SO similar to what I already own. Oh well.

Arcticmanatee

Ugh Just got a discovery set from Killian. I CANNOT OVERSTATE MY DISAPPOINTMENT. There is nothing special about any of them.
EDIT: LDBS is unusual. It smells like bubblegum and Fabuloso to me. No thank you.

yara.xo

this cannot be the perfume that makes everyone go googoo gaga over rihanna..

nfarahin19

Strong sweet scent. I like it but if overspray it can be cloying. Reminds me of thai green tea.

aviegravy

gigantic bimbo fragrance (not derogatory).

very sweet, fluffy powdery marshmallow orange blossom. exactly what you expect based on the notes. as someone who doesn't wear many gourmands, but is craving a marshmallow orange blossom perfume to add to my collection, i wish it maintained either that chalky, powdery dimensionality throughout the wear, or had more of an assertive citrus tartness. but realistically speaking, if i smelled this on someone walking down the street, i would think they smelled insanely good.

rosebush340

This perfume is in top five sweetest perfumes that I have smelled. The opening is beautiful and unique, but then it settles fast into burnt sugar + fountain water on my skin. Performance is average.

ChookWarren85

Not for me sadly, too sickly sweet and gives me massive headaches. But I do think it's unique.
When I first spray, all I get is, iris, iris, iris, and then a murky blend of musk, caramel and marshmallow that all seem to compete for your attention. The more I think about it, the more I dislike it.

Iconic'80s

I'm not really sure what all the fuss is about unless it's just the prestige regarding the price.
I mean it's okay but the floral is a bit sharp for the first 15 minutes or so and then it starts fading away to a faint hard candy.
It's not headache inducing for me so I'll give it that. It doesn't seem like anything special to me and even the bottle is just okay.
I cannot see the price though. I can see them laughing all the way to the bank over all the hype.

cloudk

Sweet, like candy with florals. It's so feminine and nice. It is also kind of romantic, like a first date. It has a slight musk to it, but to me it is so so subtle.

Chloerose666

now unlike the review below I barely get any florals in this, which I'm extremely happy about because I'm not the biggest floral fan, also not the biggest fan of a sweet perfume however this is the exception.

I absolutely love everything about this, it smells like every so slightly orange flavoured pure sugar being boiled into a syrup. It smells a bit like sherbet, but a rich warm version, like caramelised orange blossom (which is the vaguest hint of floral I do get)

Don't think longevity is amazing but its also not bad - can smell 8-10 hours on wrist and good sillage for 3-4 hours.

deja1sabel

this is wayyyy more floral than people let on. Yes it is definitely sweet, a marshmallow fluffy type of sweetness for sure but all that is enveloped in extremely heady florals with the jasmine and honeysuckle being the most prominent. There is also a slightly animalic undertone here most likely coming from the civet, it’s not necessarily bad by any means but it feels out of place? Like it was supposed to ground or add depth to the scent but it just sticks out weirdly. I wanted to like this a lot more but it’s just really an overtly floral scent with some musky vanilla sweetness and animalic amber. It just feels….disjointed and the prominent accords are too much for my liking.

Beans&Gravy

This perfume lasts forever, it is not shy to stick around for however long it likes. I don’t think I put on a lot since I don’t really like gourmand sweetness, but it ended up lasting more than 12 hours on my skin and was still very fragrant when I went to sleep. I recommend this for anyone who loves really sweet marshmallows and hates when a scent doesn’t last. I personally don’t like it, but I respect the longevity.

AuraSky

My no.1 at the moment. Sweet, but not sickingly, soft, creamy, litlle powdery, litlle froral and pepper. Sounds really heavenly. Longevity is good. Stays all day on the skin,on clothes even sfter wash. But stays close to skin. Wanted to be better sillage. Still this is amazing perfume.

Featherblossom

It grew on me, so I've ended up with a full bottle!

It just kept popping up in my olfactory memory and lasted forever on my clothes, so I'm not complaining!

donkrieg

on me it's a very syrupy marshmallow with a *very* animalic dirty, almost pungent, base to it (which i LOVE).

sadittynpretty

i’m soooo in love with this scent, but i just feel like it doesn’t fit me. like i smell good but you wouldn’t expect it to be me smelling like that yk?… i dress more of a tomboyish on the regular— i’d say wear this when you’re all dolled up & girlyish. i just love it smmm but it’s just not me. very sweet & gourmand, you’ll definitely get ate up

nhutucandy

way tooo sweet, but nevermind wearing when you're in love ~

dilldaisy

this is a fun one! not for me personally but i see the appeal. i definitely get the bubblegum and caramel vibe that other users have noted - this feels very sugary and maybe too sweet for me but i respect it.

warmcashmere

I can't believe I ever disliked LDBS or thought it was bubblegum-y. It's sweetness overload, orange blossom and a hint of vanilla and I love every second of wearing it.

GrenadeGirl

Hmmm. Another Killian fragrance I expected to love but did not (though there are some I truly do!).

On me this one doesn't smell bad, but it just smells... odd..? The jasmine and sweetness is WAY, way forward, and I think that is the reason why, when I pick up scent trail wafts, I just end up feeling like I'm doused in super expensive baby products.

Maybe a lazy Sunday kicking around the house type frag, but there is nothing sexy or sensual about this one.

Definitely sample, it is REALLY not as the hype defines it, though that doesn't actually make it bad.

WitchQueen

I love Oriana and these are about 90% the same, but that 10% difference is huge! LDBS is much sweeter on me, and Oriana is the sweetest fragrance I enjoy. I also think Oriana projects better. I've compared them side by side three times.

luvfreshfruityfloral

slightly medicinal yet sweet, fruity, floral, bubble gum vibes.

as other reviewers mentioned - if the colour pink had a scent, this would be it

if my memory serves me right - i think this smells like one of the strawberry shortcake lip balms that came with happy meals in the early 2000's SO very nostalgic. not sure if this is a safe blind buy but this is perfect for anyone who loves almost sickening sweet scents. on my skin its a bit plastic-ky as well? kind of like cloud by ag.

GooseWithAGrudge

Marshmallow? What marshmallow?

This straight up smells like the Dubble Bubble bubble gum you’d get on Halloween as a kid. As the fragrance dries down, the florals come out to play a little bit, making the scent more complex than you’d originally expect, but the core of the scent remains Halloween bubble gum. It’s not outright terrible, but I do not particularly enjoy bubble gum and do not want to smell like it.

Wear time is about 6 to 7 hours. Silage is moderate. Price is astronomical, but that might just be me being cranky because I didn’t enjoy the perfume.

Gourmandivi

This is one of my favorite scent ever! It smells so nostalgic to me and also very comforting with that super sweet marshmallow note, brings me back to childhood but in a super sofisticated way. It is not overly sweet as a lot of people say ( on my skin), I’m definetly getting that orange blossom that gives a good balance to the smell. It is one of my most complimented fragrances. Not for the faint of heart as it is strong and I can still smell it on my clothes when I pick them up to throw them in the wash. But it is very feminine and yummy, beautiful frangrance that really does smell rich imo.

Smallfry

I have a few Kilian frags and this is my least favorite. I wish Rihanna didn’t talk about this so there wasn’t a monopoly on this. Another Kilian scent or a gourmand with similar notes from a different brand would be nice for this kind of money. Gourmands are my favorite and I don’t hate this but this has a very “stick” feeling to me.

MyScentBubble

Cough syrup overload. Theres no way people like or want to smell like this lol. I think people are convincing themselves it smells good because Rihanna apparently wore it 🙄

Pauline99

My favorite scent from Kilian! I keep smelling other scents from this house in hope to find something else that I would love as much as LDBS but so far it is this scent and nothing else. I even wear this to bed, there’s something about this perfume that instantly puts me in such a good mood every time I wear it
All my guy friends are obsessed with this candy like scent on me as well lol

VanillaFaith

I really tried to like this perfume given that it was so popular but alas it was just... meh. I couldn’t smell anything besides caramel and there was a bubble gum like note. I felt like it lacked some freshness which was actually the animalic accord (civet) that made it heavy. I really had to wrap my head around the smell to pick up the civet. Overall, it’s nice and sweet but it’s really hard to spend that much money on something that could be achieved by unpacking really sugary (but tasty) bubblegum. 2/10

NikiZ

I have a little sample of this and after testing it on my arm this morning, my first thought was "I know this... I had this very scent not long ago... what is it??"
And then it hit me... "Byzantium" by Tesori d'Oriente! Smells almost identical, at least on my skin.

Fragnautical

love has never been more intoxicating! finally!

scent that encapsulates coming down from an awesome sugar high, with hints of iris to give it that true makeup-done-hastely-in-the-CVS-bathroom smell. most CVS stores artificially smell like old people products.

bergamot and pink pepper compliment each other wonderfully, this sickly sweet combo absolutely makes the inner civet ring out its battle screech (do civets have wars with other civets?)

add orange blossoms and jasmine, douse them in caramel like a fondue frenzy at sunday church, and you got yourself the most splendid swirling of smells that won't remind you of bingo nights with your grandparents.

love IS a high, so don't be shy! spray this frag with high confidence and a high blood pressure.

not recommended for: those sensitive to high fructose corn syrup.

Myhra

This beautiful fragrance means a lot to me, but I do not wear it very often. I love it, the smell of it, but not on myself! That's maybe a little strange. Like to smell it on others around me.
It was not a love at first sniff, it became more and more a love.
Very flowery, a lot of jasmin and orange blossom, sweet and staying power.

Mishmash92

This smells like floral cough syrup.

meemz22

Skip this if you are looking for marshmallow. I have seen this on EVERY marshmallow scent recommendation list all across the internet. In my opinion, that is definitely not what this is and I should have known better since there is no marshmallow note listed in this perfume. Upon spraying it smells like grape cough syrup and floral air freshener. The mid and dry down has a root beer, hospital-y, old lady smell. I’m kind of shocked that I’ve seen so many describe this as an elegant fragrance bc to me it smells cheap... and I most definitely do not understand why I’m seeing this fragrance being compared to to D&Gs Pour Femme. Oh well, to each their own nose. Hopefully, I‘ll have better luck with Princess which has marshmallow listed in the notes!

7+ hours: Complete dry down is actually kinda pretty. It’s a dainty sugar smell. Not worth the wait or worth $300.

Katyaintheact

I tried this in Sephora and didn't immediately "get" it but it grew on me. This one smells like roses and orange flavored marshmallow. It's sweet, but not as intensely gourmand as some others have described it. It loses some of the citrus-y quality in the dry down but it's still a lovely floral/orange marshmallow. The only downside is that Oriana by PDM is very similar, so it may be worth it to try that one and see what you like better before buying

Cuiliel

I’ve never been interested in Kilian parfums so much before. BUT I saw it on a great sale, and I blind bought it… 😅
I wanted to try something new, I wanted to experience something new, Idk… so luckily it became a love for me.
I like Sweet scents, it’s a bit bubblegumish on me on a luxorious way with florals. What’s over, this is the first parfume I like which has iris. I can’t stand it unfortunately, it’s too dry to my nose, But in this, it’s well balanced. Not too floral, not too sweet, I even smell freshness in this. It’s just beautiful. Not too special/ unique though, but I really enjoy wearing this. Fits for everywhere, But more for the Spring on me.
Now I wanna try the extreme version as well…

capylove

I blind bought this after hearing so much about it and I'm not disappointed at all. Oh my god it smells delicious, it's exactly the type of scent I love. It's so warm and intensely sweet it kinda makes me hungry lol. I don't get the artificial smell that others are talking about, it really smells mostly like vanilla and sugar to me with verrryy slight floral. Maybe it's because I'm obsessed with gourmands but I give this a 10/10 <3

AlisonD

This fragramce is not for me. Its just ok and I certainly wouldnt buy it.
To me it smells exacty the same as Savlon antiseptic cream which isnt unpleasant but I can buy a tube for $20.
I love Delina Oriana btw, and have bought it. I sort of get a resemblance if you have tried both, but Oriana is so much nicer.

Aeternitas

I nearly went into a nostalgic trance at Sephora when I tried this, because it reminds me almost exactly like Hanae Mori perfume, which I had many years ago. I don't know if anyone else has made this connection? I think Hanae Mori is discontinued, but you can still grab a bottle on ebay for cheaper than you can a bottle of Kilian, lol.

Love, Don't Be Shy... It is sweet, but not as intensely as other reviewers have expressed. At least, not on me. I quite enjoy it, and I have been wearing it for hours now. The longevity and sillage is impressive!

I know there isn't strawberry in this one, but somehow it smells like fresh strawberry shortcake, with a side helping of rich whipped cream, or marshmallow fluff... but in a luxurious way. Like it was made for a woman, not a little girl.

It is working really well with my chemistry, as I am not getting the cough syrup smell others are.
I wouldn't add this to my personal collection, but I would be enamored with anyone who passed by me wearing this swirling, luscious gourmand scent.

GothyPanda

I’ve tried it on several times in Sephora and didn’t love it although the sales lady was very insistent it smells good. I tried getting a sample as well to give it a good chance. I just didn’t love it. I usually go for sweet scents, but think it’s the white flowers that make it smell cheap, sharp and like bathroom air freshener.

Dutchlikesclassics

Sorry, not my cup of tea.

Very sweet medicinal at start. At drydown very sweet caramel, mixed with cough syrup.

Not worth the price.

Lazybumblebee

Sweet innocent scent
Candy like
Longevity isn’t there, needs to be reapplied

maddie2503

I hate this perfume so much. Nauseating artificial sweetness, doesn’t come off even after scrubbing, literally makes me sick thinking about it. I don’t know why but I absolutely detest this. It’s just so off putting and disgustingly fake sweet

evelliina

I have a sample of this. At first when i smelled this like six months ago I didn’t know what to think. The opening was a little harsh compared to what i was expecting. I thought it was okay but didn’t get what people were talking about.

Then a week ago I was just hanging alone in my flat. I sprayed this after a long time and it was so good! I kept getting whiffs of the most amazing and sweet scent all day. This scent is so beautiful! It became my favourite perfume instantly. I only have about one or two sprays left in my sample and I need to have this! BUT, i can’t justify spending around 300€ on a bottle as a student so I ordered the oakcha dupe yesterday. Hope it’s going to be similar enough! 🙏🏻

ambervxyjul

I hate medicinal perfumes fyi and in general cough syrup, but love don’t be shy is so addicting. This is the sweetest perfume I own. I definitely get a orange blossom and cotton candy vibe. This is my clubbing and bar perfume lol. It makes people go crazy! I’ve worn this before on a first date and not only did he compliment me, but two waitresses came by and said they kept trying to figure out where this sweet smell is coming from.

tilly222

I was SO excited to try this for the longest time, and it literally smells like bug spray, mixed with orange cough syrup on my skin. It really took me back to being forced to drink that horribly flavoured medicine as a child when I was sick. It must be my body chemistry, because I know people love this one, but it’s a big no for me unfortunately.

Edit: after revisiting this several times, this is literally one of the worst things I’ve even smelled. Why does it smell like ants???

RoseGrande

I’m not sure why, but it smells so strongly of Lily of the valley, and I REALLY don’t like that. It’s basically just LOTV and vanilla.

riata04

I'm not quite sure what I didn't like about this perfume, but it just felt very sharp to my nose and a bit cloying/overwhelming with the florals. However, it was very strong on me and lasted for a good while.

tosel3

White floral elements give it a more classic touch. Very elegant and pretty fragrance.

gabygauthier

I tested this fragrance on and off for like a year and I just could not understand the hype; I had heard a few people say the same thing and one day they randomly fell in love. I kept waiting for that to happen and last week it hit me and I fell IN LOVE with it & haven’t been able to stop wearing it..

Originally, I preferred Sintra because it’s more bold and complex, overall just a more unique fragrance that kind of confuses your nose in a very pleasant way. I wasn’t getting that from Love so I felt it was like the more generic twin sister lol… I also LOVE D&G Devotion. I will say, Love doesn’t have that same complexity to it the way Sintra does, but it’s almost nice because of that. Like.. it’s a very straight forward fragrance IMO & it’s almost more peaceful on the nose for those days you don’t want to be so… mysterious?

Basically Sintra is the girl that’s bold and mysterious. There’s something to her you just can’t put your finger on but she’s intoxicating & you can’t stay away.

Love is the cute, sweet girl, is giggly, the type you take home to mom. But still sexy & she’s the one who steals your heart, you get married to & have a peaceful life with 😂😂😂

Both are amazingggg. But I’m so happy I finally started to actually LIKE Love. It took a while for me to get the hype but it’s soooo nice.

Personally; if you like one as your signature scent, I’d get the other too.

Sintra for night & Love for daytime!

Nickie_Jac

Love Don't Be Shy unfolds its captivating narrative with a lively burst of invigorating top notes, where neroli, bergamot, pink pepper, and coriander dance together in a subtly spicy symphony. This initial composition sets the stage for an exploration of delicate sensuality.

As the fragrance progresses, the heart reveals a nuanced floral arrangement, featuring orange blossom, honeysuckle, jasmine, iris, and rose in perfect harmony. This intricate bouquet adds a layer of sophistication and romantic allure, creating an olfactory experience that transcends the ordinary.

The fragrance's lingering embrace comes from the base notes, where sugar, vanilla, caramel, musk, civet, and labdanum intertwine to form a warm and sensually enticing foundation. This lasting impression ensures that Love Don't Be Shy leaves a mark, an olfactory echo that lingers with undeniable allure.

In its entirety, Love Don't Be Shy skillfully navigates the delicate balance between freshness, florals, and sweetness, inviting wearers to embrace love with open arms. Its subtly provocative undertone adds a layer of sensuality to the romance it encapsulates, making it a fragrance that resonates on both an emotional and sensory level.

primadoll

eternal sexy feminine perfume. lacks depth, but that’s what makes it so feminine in my opinions, not that women are shallow. it’s so sweet and smells like bubblegum. HEAVY on the orange blossom and marshmallows. It mixes very well with natural body smells iykwm. Good for clubbing or spicy time imo.

09pinkrose02

insane compliment getter, it literally smells like pheromones i think?? very heavy on the caramel though!

Scentsitivewoman05

What can I say? THIS IS PRETTY WOMAN FROM QUIET LUXURY FAMILY IN A BOTTLE. she is playful with citrus-y vibe at the first five minute, after the juice dry on the skin, the flirty vanilla and caramel comes through and they are backed up by the sugar through the time. But like a pretty heir with her quiet luxury life style, she is not loud so the projection is limited less than your arms length and she doesnt party all night long, she has her own business so after 4 hours she started to dissapear and at the fifth hour you barely can smell her. You need to earn her presence.

isihman

I smelt nothing but bubblegum and truly disliked it

kellyitzme

I have very complicated feelings about this one. I'm obsessed with it, but at the same time, I can't tell if I like it or not?

It's overwhelmingly sweet - and I love sweet perfumes - but this is a different kind of sweet. This fragrance evokes the feeling of being a little kid who just ate too much candy, but who still wants to take another piece, because it's just SO yummy. It's literally been giving me a bit of that "too much candy" sensation in my stomach when I wear it. But... it still smells so good!! This is my dilemma. It smells delicious, and it's kinda way too much, and I can't tell if that's a bad thing or not.

My boyfriend likes it on me and doesn't find it overwhelming. He says it smells like cream soda. Do I want to smell like cream soda? I'm not sure. To me, it smells more like smarties or fun dip. Not sure if I want to smell like that either. But regardless, I find myself wanting to smell it all the time, and I feel disappointed when it's faded from my skin (longevity isn't great on me). I definitely love it the most during the dry down, where it becomes much gentler and warmer.

I've never been so conflicted over a fragrance. I think I'm going to buy a dupe because I absolutely can't justify spending so much money on this. But wow, what a fragrance.

lulu1979

Sigh....I wanted to be besotted with this so much.
At first spray I struggle to like it at all, it smells like a splat of sweetness and sugar with a sour, dusty citrus curdled into it.
On my skin it gets a lot better with drydown...and eventually a very welcome honeysuckle peeps through. I think I like it at this point it smells so much prettier, but I won't be purchasing it at that price.

MissyNussy

Growing up in Poland in the 80' we had a Donald Duck chewing gum. This is what it smelt like.

Saraviah

Initial spray is a massive whiff of vanilla extract smoothed with powdered sugar. After a few hours of wear it smells exactly like those powdery pink cubes of bubble gum I use to get as a kid! Very inoffensive fragrance suitable for any situation. However, I found it too simple to be paying that price for a full size bottle.

@Emiliesmells

I liked your story-telling. Cool.

Emiliesmells

It's 2004, you're in the girls locker room and you just ran the mile, you're sweaty but you have no time to take a shower before math class so you douse yourself in the Body Fantasies Cotton Candy Body Spray, the cloyingly sweet sent suffocates those around you. You layer your A&F tank tops and slide into your Uggs and think you're the hottest b*tch ever.
If this is your vibe, then get it. But for me the smell is so sweet and SO STRONG. I get no other notes than sugar that then turns into a kind of burnt sugar smell over time. I'll try using it as a layering perfume or gift it to someone who loves a candy smelling perfume.

jenzel4381

Love this perfume! I don't get how people say it's sickly sweet...to me it's a soft sweet. I wanted this so bad but not willing to pay at that price point. I bought the Oakcha dupe...which honestly disappointed me at the first sniff... but it just needed a minute to settle and it's actually a spot on dupe! I sprayed it on one wrist, went to Sephora and sprayed the other wrist with LDBS and I couldn't tell a difference! And it lasted all day! I highly recommend for anyone who loves this scent but needs a cheaper alternative.

Shimmer412

To me this is an extremely sweet, powdery, marshmallow scent with some orange blossom. It also has a soft scent of vanilla, a little floral, and a touch of orange that’s almost creamsicle like. So, kind of a slightly orange blossom floral and creamsicle scented sugary sweet marshmallow.

I’m a huge fan of gourmands, but for the life of me I just cannot decide if I really enjoy this fragrance. It’s almost too sweet for me, and I never think that about any fragrance. I definitely don’t dislike it though. It was very highly recommended to me in a fragrance group I’m in, and while placing a Sephora order by phone the employee who helped me also highly recommended it. I ended up buying the travel spray. It would last me forever if I wore it with any regularity, but like I’ve mentioned, I just can’t decide how I really feel about it. Over time I have come to enjoy it more!

Just for reference, some of my favorite gourmands include Ralph Lauren Beyond Romance, Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Eau So Sweet, Kayali Vanilla 28, Burberry Goddess, Nest Golden Nectar, Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus, The 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods, VS Tease Creme Cloud, and VS Tease Candy Noir

The longevity is insane! It lasts seriously forever! The projection is incredibly strong as well! All I need is 1-2 sprays and it radiates out at least a few feet from me. So yes, even a travel spray will last a very long time when you only need 1-2 sprays tops.

SOTD Love Don’t Be Shy by Kilian Paris 5/5

First spray is floral, unique, and stunning. I think it is a masterpiece of ingredients and blending. It is like orange fruity pebbles. I love this scent so much. If I needed to start over my collection this would be a cornerstone. It is worth the hype and I can see why Rihanna is said to use this perfume. I’m not getting any of the pepper or coriander. Strong silage for a couple hours then become a skin scent. Spouse says it is too strong. I'm not seeing the similarity to Oriana.

Reviewed is based on a purchased Narcotics Mini Discovery 1.5mL. Wore at home. Purchased a travel spray.

ninalumi

I quite like this fragrance but I do think it's a bit over-hyped. I see it as a good scent but certainly not a masterpiece. Yes, it is sweet but the composition is quite complex. Musk and civet make it deep and alluring. Although the dry down gives me a bit of baby wipes scent. The longevity is exceptional.

Snicole82

Let me first state that I am the biggest gourmand lover.

However, this is really sweet. The initial blast is like grape syrup. And it’s strong. I couldn’t spray this on my skin directly. I sprayed the air in front of me. It’s just way too sweet and not any particular note. Just sugar.

Edit: Got the courage to spray me and my clothes. This has no lasting power on me or my clothes. I could not justify spending that much on a full bottle.

Longevity: Weak
Sillage: Weak

vpace91

I really didn't like it at first, but it's weirdly growing on me! Aaah! Upgrading from :( to :| and might even be a :)

There is just something addicting about it, particularly the dry-down.

katolentino

Sexy and sweet. This scent screams lick me up and eat me. Warm, sweet and slightly spicy. A great date night scent.

f4iry

one of the best fragrances ever idc!! the lasting power, the way it transforms and settles is amazing. waking up and smelling this all over my pillow was an experience.

BllyDncr

I love sweet fragrances and this is too sweet for me. It’s sickeningly sweet. I don’t get the hype for this, the sweet overpowers all of the other notes to me. I love sweet, vanilla, caramel, sugar, white florals but this is not any of that to my nose. I keep trying to like it, but for me it’s a scrubber on the skin, and on paper I had to take the tester strip out of my car because my kids were complaining about the smell.

brandiwine1980

I’m baffled that so many love this, but then again I feel the same about Libre. On me this smells very synthetic, sometimes I get grape cough syrup and sometimes cherry cough syrup with a little rose, vanilla and caramel. I’m guessing the white florals are giving me bad vibes. Sometimes I think I just need to stick to the classics. Some of these new perfumes are so sickly sweet and synthetic smelling. Definitely test first and if it works for you, I recommend trying a cheaper dupe or version because I don’t see how this is worth the price.

jadepo21

Gracious, do I not understand the hype around this. It’s so sickeningly sweet, it’s almost gag inducing. For the hype and the price, I don’t know what I was expecting but this is surely not it.

keiramack

Delicious, juicy nectary roses and sugar - this is so delicious and head turning I’m in awe!!! I wish I never got this sample because now I need a full size 🥹 UGHHH WHY IS IT $500!!! It lasted 8+ hours on my skin and is still delicious and syrupy, I see exactly why this is Rihanna’s signature scent holyyy mama. I’m gonna be saving every last drop of this perfume I cannot believe I don’t have the full size in my life

ridhi0710

God I love this perfume,I don't ever want to stop smelling like it

AmoreProfumi

Oh my this layered with Prada Candy Kiss.. 😚🤌🏼 perfection!

Ps. I’d say LDBS is today's modernized JPG Classique..IMO feel like if people like that or just scents with a standout orange blossom and vanilla, you’d like this.

MabelleBeauty

I used to hate this perfume when I first tried it. It was way too sweet and sugary to my nose but after revisiting and trying again I fell madly in Love. This is a girly and very romantic scent. Sweet bubblegumy white florals with a citrusy opening. Layer with Delina exclusif if you can. Such a good combo.

raspberryk!sses

I decided to sample this perfume after seeing a Palestinian girl review it and compare it to the dessert Layali Lubnan. She was spot on with her comparison. The dry down is distinctly sweet and creamy, the way a Levantine dessert would be. It's rose water and rich, creamy ashta (clotted cream used in such desserts) in a bottle. In the distant background, it seems to have accents of marshmallows and cotton candy. A touch powdery and airy behind all the pleasant sweetness.

But, it smells old, in a sophisticated way. To me, it smells like what an older, classy middle eastern woman smells like. The woman who adorns her neck with this fragrance enjoys tending to her garden of roses and carrying expensive bags. She gets a blowout every week and applies her Chanel lipstick before she goes on a grocery run. Rich, expensive, matured, and, of course, sweet. I've met such women; they would love this scent, adore it in a way I can't just yet!

although some describe it to be a younger and a more fun scent, this is how it smelled to me and on my skin after a few wears :)

Yusrayacoubi

Smells young, fun and like money. Rihanna’s signature for a reason. I love this so much I just want to bath in it. I disagree with @raspberryk!ses review. Doesn’t smell Middle Eastern at all. Your review would suit more something like Delina. This smells like vanilla and marshmallows definitely how a woman in her 20’s and 30’s could smell.

mea194

This scent was the most sweet I’ve ever smelled, but also one that is quite unique. Upon first spray I smelled fruity pebbles and a bubblegum. But as it dried down the rose, honeysuckle, and iris notes came in subtly. After some time, it blends really well to make a sweet powdery scent. The dry down reminds me of marshmallow and the artificial sweet smell fades more. It truly a straight up sweet fragrance that may even be too much for a gourmand lover like me. Definitely sample it first and see what you think before you commit to a full bottle!

heartstopss

this is beautiful. a sweet but not cloying vanilla which lasts and projects almost all day. the price is too much for me to personally justify though, since this smells (on my skin) remarkably similar to pacifica island vanilla with a similar lasting power

swansong444

wow this is such a beautiful scent. it can come off as very spicy, almost scratchy in the beginning, but once those pink pepper notes start to evaporate, it turns into a beautiful marshmallow-like composition. it’s sweet but definitely not cloying, and the drydown is very sweet yet musky. It also performs pretty well imo. definitely worth getting it if you love marshmallow perfumes and have the money for it. this might sound very niche but it smells identical to a strawberry shortcake doll i had in the late 2000s and it’s actually driving me insane (in the best way possible). i’ll have to stick with the oakcha dupe for now LMFAO

ghostthewriter

I LOVE this perfume!! I recently was gifted a sample for Christmas and am now obsessed. I don't know if I'll ever buy a full bottle because of the price, but it really is a beautiful scent. Powdery, sweet, soft. It kind of smells like an expensive version of BubbleTape!

Glyceryl

WOW this is pure marshmallow sugar. I love it. My initial reaction was that this smells like a big bag of pastel colored candies. This is not too heavy. The honeysuckle and jasmine really help keep this from becoming too sickly sweet and syrupy.
This envelopes you in a light pink cotton candy cloud of deliciousness. I’ve been searching for an adult cotton candy fragrance and this is PERFECTION.

Scratch & Sniff

I spent awhile searching for this fragrance. It had been years since the first time I sprayed this, back when I was working at the men’s Saks Fifth Avenue store, circa 2010. At the time, my colleagues insisted that this scent was too feminine for a man to wear. I shouldn’t have listened, and should have just worn what I damn well pleased, rather than adhering to the ideals of what masculine fragrance should smell like (leather, smoke, body wash and boring citruses - men can, and should, smell like things other than Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille or Dolce & Gabbana's locker room staple Light Blue. But I digress.).

It took me several years to find this again but, once I did, the scent instantly transported me back to 2010. The scent is unmistakable, and still so original that it’s difficult to describe.

Yes, it’s a gourmand, but it’s more than that. It smells like what I imagine the color pink would. Not a vivid hot pink, mind you, but rather a subdued and light pink that gently drifts you off in your lover’s arms. This scent has been love since first spray, which would make sense, since the fragrance itself smells like the hope and naïve idealism of first love.

It’s innocence and all things wholesome, buoyed by the ever-present marshmallow, which cuts right through – thick, gooey and fluffy, as if being wrapped in a cloud. Rihanna supposedly wears this (the only knock against it), but to me it smells more like the pink effervescent clouds on a Katy Perry album cover.

In five words or less: Forever a teenage dream.

Ilikewhatilike

I gave this a proper wear and WOW, I like.

I tried the dessert that apparently inspired this (achta) and yep, I see the connection (both the smell and the perceived texture).

This has a gooey nature to it, which is where I think it’s been likened to marshmallow, but I think it’s a bit different to marshmallow and loose to the Lebanese ice cream style.

Performance is nice. Delicious wafts bloomed around me for a few hours and my skin smelt delicious many more hours later. Niceeee.

girlfromipanema

sprayed this on my sleeve at sephora on accident. lasted FOREVER unfortunately because it just smells like white florals and not the vanilla candy i wanted. have to scrub it off

bestialdevastation

I do not claim to be someone who especially enjoys gourmands, but I have been fantasizing about owning some kind of powdery marshmallow, candy floss, white floral perfume. I got a Kilian sample set, since they seen to specialize in that area. I really like this one, as well as Princess. I don't know how often I would wear this in public, but I am starting to want a travel spray so I can walk around my house smelling like a nondescript candy-scented bar of soap. The medicinal orange sweetness is attenuated by the musk. I like it!

Kaleigha

This is my second trial of this. I got a sample set with a small vial of this, and of all the scents this was the only one I liked. But because of the price-point, I decided to go the safe route and purchased the travel spray. I still like it - sweet, rich, interesting. I am enjoying it so far, but not sure I could justify getting a full bottle. It will have to move from a like to a very solid, can't live without it love for that to happen.

Calliope72

I really thought I was going to like this, but I don't. It smells like the orange children's chewable Tylenol my mother used to give me when I was little so it just brings a nostalgia of being sick. I don't get any notes other than the orange blossom and it's very powdery and yes, bubblegummy. Smells kind of old ladyish. Maybe if it wasn't for that Tylenol scent, but that's stuck in my being forever and it makes me feel like I have a fever. It's stomach turning sweet and that's coming from someone that loves to smell like cupcakes. Don't blind buy this!

Featherblossom

Very powdery, musky and bubblegummy. In the dry down, it develops into a slightly soapy popcorn. It's bit too sweet for me but it is nice! It smells expensive and has amazing sillage too.

Des96

As of right now I could say this is my signature scent. I love a good sweet scent, although they can sometimes give me headaches. My body chemistry goes really well with sweet scents, even non-sweet fragrances smell sweet on me. It is extremely sweet, think powder sugar candied orange, candies coated in powdered sugar, a hint of florals. Its definitely not for everyone but I absolutely love it, I always go back to it. You’d think Id love Burberry Her but I didn’t think much of that one I think its the citrus sweet powdery combo in this that I love so much. Ive branched out much more into some niche fragrances and nothing has wowed me like this one. Everyone I let smell it loves it. While it may not last well, I have the dossier dupe and a travel size so I don’t mind reapplying since its my favorite. Id suggest getting a sample if you’re interested!

chocoshelo

hmmmmm between the mixed reviews I also don’t wanna smell like a rodent’s boodyhole

Char char 55

I absolutely love this perfume but it just doesn’t last on my skin at all, I get around 3 hours max then it starts to fade which is very disappointing considering the price

KILIAN LOVE DON’T BE SHY
Calice Becker 2007

This is the best overly sticky sweet perfume. At least for me. It’s so intoxicating, it’s magical, it’s narcotic, I want to smell it more and more. I wear it most during summertime but I missed it so I needed to have a hefty dose of it. It’s marshmallows and caramel but it’s definitely white sugary, not brown. White florals, especially Orange Blossom and Honeysuckle are heavenly. So addictive. Rose is a beautiful light whiff. I don’t think it as a gourmand or I just want to admit that I adore some gourmand so much. Absolutely fluffy and charming. This is the most girly scent in my collection.

It took a long time to test LDBS Extreme. Many people say that it shouldn’t be “extreme” version of this one but I disagree. Imo it’s exactly extreme: it’s even more opulent cotton candy heaven and Rose is amped up to the next level. Stupendous. I want it.

This is amazing layered with Roja Taif Aoud, Roja Qatar or MFK Oud Satin Mood.

Jujas

Finally got to test this one. While not being completely wowed, I definitely like it; strangely reminiscent of the powder on bubble tape was my first thought. My second? A faint tinge of body odor that managed to be very fleeting (yay) and as it dried down some, I detected a very SLIGHT caramel orangey (yet still bubble tape powder) note. And to my dismay.. no marshmallow.

BUT.. I kept feeling like “this is missing something”.. so I decided to layer it with Libre Intense and my BBW Sensual Amber body lotion and wow was that nice!

I’m happy to finally try this out, now that travel size sprays are available BUT even so, it’s still rather expensive for what it is. And a slightly annoying thing? The travel spray came with the name slapped on a sticker. Which was practically peeling off.
Not FB worthy imo.

I have many better performing orange blossom type of perfumes and if I want a marshmallow note I’ll just layer them with Bois Dore or Milk+..

mayvray

This is much too sweet for my liking. Very cloying. It is a beautiful scent though. If you like gourmands, you will like this. Smells marshmallow-y. To me, it smells EXACTLY like the bubblegum that comes in a tape roll. Powdery and soft. Not my cup of tea, but inoffensive and innocent enough that I could see it having a place in my collection. 🍭🍭

elclvna

I really don't like this perfume. It smells like if you put maraschino cherries in diet pepsi. Not sure why anyone would want to smell like that. It somehow smells sticky to me.

CatOwned

I smelled this at the store, and didn't see what was so great about this one.

MysteriousMidna

I got this because the note votes seem to indicate that this is primarily a vanilla and caramel scent. It is not. White florals can be a hit or miss for me. Sometimes they’re beautiful, well-balanced, and exotic. Sometimes they just smell synthetic like bubble gum, grape candy, or powder tablet candy. The white florals in this are the latter and this scent is one of the worst offenders of this that I've ever smelled. For the first hour there’s also a bitter green vegetal note that I’m assuming is the coriander. Grape candy and coriander, very weird. As it dries down, the coriander fades and the vanilla and caramel becomes a little more noticeable, but not enough to save this scent. I’m a gourmand girlie so it’s not the overall sweetness that’s putting me off, it’s the grape. Not a floral scent that would remind people of grape, but a potent I-can’t-believe-everyone-else-doesn’t-notice-it artificial powdery grape candy scent. I wish the caramel and vanilla were stronger; they're not even close to being the main notes. I don’t get any marshmallow. After a couple hours, I had to wash it off. I’m surprised so many people think this is such an amazing scent but I guess there’s a decent desire out there to smell like grape pixy stix and coriander. I know based on the notes that this seems like an obvious blind buy but I would strongly recommend against doing that (like I did). Dossier and The Oil Perfumery have good dupes if you want to save some money.

haveaveryrubytuesday

I really wanted to like this perfume since it had so much hyper around it, and the note profile is typically something that I would go for. Unfortunately, I found this scent was completely synthetic-smelling and underwhelming. To me, it smells like the Calgon Marshmallow Body Mist that many of us wore as kids (maybe slightly elevated). It does last a long time, and has a moderate projection. Unfortunately, I found it very cloying and needed to scrub it off. For the price, I found this perfume to be extremely disappointing. You can get something similar with a $10 body mist. It's okay, but definitely wouldn't buy a full bottle.

sendakiss

I usually write a review that actually tells you about the perfume, but this doesn't apply here. Im speechless about this one. This perfume is my beloved. Obsessed. Heaven on earth.

xen.lawyer

Sweet and feminine. Its weird but i get the middle and base notes from the start and it kind puts me off. Other than that its very nice, an autumn and winter perfume, its gonna be heady for the hot days. If you can't reach this or it seems pricey, go for the Prada candy kiss, a very safe dupe 🎯🩷

jsb41

Glad I just got a sample. It’s a very forgettable fragrance for the price. Sweet and kinda powdery but so is Britney’s Private Show and a helluva lot less expensive. Maybe I’ll keep using the sample to see if it grows on me.

selenika

i don't think i'll ever smell something as beautiful as this again.

nazzynaz

This is what heaven smells like. Longevity is very impressive - I only did one spray on my wrist and it lasted 12+ hours. Smells like bubblegum after about 15 minutes and settles into powdery marshmallow goodness for the remaining duration. I prefer the original over the Extreme because Extreme's longevity isn't as good and to me smells like a cacophony of notes that I just couldn't put my finger (or nose) on.

lilacxlily

It is so interesting how fragrances are perceived differently by everyone. I've tried sampling this one a few times now, and every time I do, I dislike it.

I don't pick up on anything marshmallow-y outside of it being very sweet. I suppose it's kinda maybe slightly floral, but I truly can not grasp the hype. It's both too cloying and too musky all at once, like the base notes are fighting each other instead of lifting each other up.

marielune1024

To me, unfortunately, this smells like a high school women's locker room. I guess I'm just not the target demographic for this... This perfume has no class. I ordered a Kilian sample set and put this on before going out to run errands - I'd heard so much about it online... I was actually embarrassed to walk around smelling like that. Had to scrub as soon as I got home. It's a pass for me but perhaps a nice gift for your niece's bat mitzvah/quinceañera.

Bronzeroad732*

Does it smell like vinegar, just to me? I didn't like it at all.

katiesimpsonhair

I e just figured out what this smells like. If you live in the uk it smells of Percy Pigs sweets. I knew what it smelled of I just couldn’t pin point it.

Louloudutyfree

I find myself reaching for this all the time especially at night before I go to bed. If the colour Pink was a smell this to me is that. The pink pepper I noticed right away but then it's marshmallowy and that orange blossom are just a heady intoxicating whirl it's just literally what I wish to bathe in. I love it

vnoxnoctis

this is very nice but different than i expected since i've heard so many people describe this is as a mostly marshmallow fragrance, which i wouldn't necessarily describe this as. the peppery notes are very prominent and it gives this a sharp, spicy feel that i wasn't expecting but honestly really enjoy--almost reminds me a bit of licorice or root beer or something, especially in the opening, but it sticks around too. the white florals in this are also more prominent than i imagined, but not unpleasant at all--just clean without being soapy--and are made better with the sugary, caramel notes. this is a little too sharp to be something i could see myself wearing regularly (and way out of my budget lmao) but still very nice nonetheless. sweet but still classy, with solid performance and longevity too.

smellyolivia

Sprayed onto test paper, I was excited to try it, but on my skin it was barely noticeable and the fragrance I /could/ smell was pretty one-note. I tried varying application techniques to try to see if I was doing something wrong but every time I have worn this fragrance I forget that I have it on and when I ask, nobody can smell it on me. What the hell Rihanna?!?! I know it’s probably just my skin chemistry, but that makes me sad because I’ll never be able to actually enjoy it. I haven’t seen anyone else have this problem with it, unfortunately. I continue to search for answers

katiesimpsonhair

Utterly addictive and incredibly long lasting! It’s heaven in a bottle, reminds me of a smell from my childhood, possible a scented my little pony. It smells like a jammy rose, yummy! The notes on the Kilian website list different notes than on here, the Kilian website lists marshmallow which I can smell.

primpinkpepper

On my skin, this hits like a $2 Christmas cinnamon stick spray on clearance at the dollar store that later dries down into stale marshmallows (specifically, the kind in a plastic bag). Sampled this several times at several different counters and it was always the same, which I don’t get because this one is hyped by a LOT of people. Many perfumes in my collection have similar notes to this and none are as gross as this mess. 0/10 absolutely cannot recommend whatsoever, especially given the price tag. Kudos if this dries down lovely on your skin, but wow, my body chemistry hates this!

frangiris

First time testing this. It's very very white floral, a bit like a sweeter version of Lush Lust. I like it, but I am not sure how often I would wear it.

chloemars

on me, i get a root beer float scent, but somehow not a synthetic one. it's like a root beer float where all the ingredients were made from scratch. smells expensive (because it is). lasts a pretty great amount of time for the low standards these days. i get 6 hours out of it, 8 if you're up close and personal with me.

i only bought the travel size because i got a good deal on it. though it's nice, it's not something that suits me i think, so i won't be repurchasing. but it is yummy!

Hybridchimera

Smells ok not too strong, not too light. It’s inoffensive can be worn everyday. A little pricey for what it is.

watermelonmami

LDBS is this beautiful, unique scent that will keep you guessing. I get this luxurious powdery, fluffy marshmallow entangled in orange blossom scent on my skin- it’s gorgeous. One spray is more than enough for the room to know you’ve arrived. It is a hefty price point, I purchased the travel size because $290 is too much for me! There’s no synthetic scent either, it smells expensive. Love it!

OnlyGodKnowsimGood

It smells cheap :( so bubblegum-y and not much depth to it. But I see why it’s popular.

LeaSmig

In a nutshell this is a very sofisticated version of Aqualina Pink Sugar mixed with some white florals and neroli. I'm not a fan of these types of perfumes, but if you like sweet gourmand fragrances than buy it. It's good. You get a very sweet caramelish opening that goes into white florals and neroli with hints of caramel and burnt sugar. Lasts around 6-8 h. You smell like a bag of cookies with flowers.

Marinka71

Neroli gourmand heaven from first spray to dry down. 😍
Neroli, orange blossom, vanilla and a touch of caramel
Quite sweet with a tiny touch of bitterness (from neroli) superbly blended, sensuous, luxurious and expensive smelling. (And expensive it is 😯 390 euros per bottle) Heavenly though.
Just perfect♥️
I think my current signature scent might be dethroned.
I have not been so head over heels over a scent in long time.

If you love neroli ( one of my favourite scents on Earth) and gourmandes, you have to try this.

Ps- I don't get any marshmallow scent in this at all.

Goldena35

I believe that the number of reviews here would be significantly less if a certain pop star had not mentioned this perfume. It’s interesting…do I need to own it. No. For me I get the white floral aspect that combines with some of the heavier base notes and the citrus that I suppose creates a “marshmallow like scent “. It reminds me of the fruity colored bagged marshmallows. It is definitely sweet but in a different way than most scents today. I agree with others who said a powder sweetness. Killian perfumes seem to really develop in a super complex way on my skin. The first 30 minutes I was stupefied that this has a cult following. But it really grew and became something interesting. IMHO worth a try but unless it speaks to you not worth the price tag.

designergenie

This does not smell at all like a marshmallow to me, yes its sweat but it has a luscious fruity, tart maraschino cherry, rose aroma. It reminds me of those long swirly colored cherry, orange, pineapple popsicles. It’s lovely, nostalgic, girly, sexy. Im not sure if men like this scent as much as women. Its very little girl, rainbows, roller-skates, lollypops, fantasy, fruity, and fun. But its not cheap smelling as its too lush and buoyant.

Dani91

I'm obsessed! I got Oakchas Sweet Addict dupe bc I can't justify buying the real deal rn and it's just sooo heavenly!! It's super feminine and sweet with a delicious rose scent to it that even those who don't like a rose scent would like with a cloud of marshmallow and a whiff of orange blossom. Those are the notes I really smell and it's so dreamy. I then went to Oakchas other brand Oil Perfumery and bought the large size perfume oil in this scent bc im just obsessed! It's so much stronger and longer lasting too in an oil formula from them. It's deff very sweet and gourmand! But I'm a gourmand lover to the max so if you don't love sweet scents this isn't for you. But iff you want a scent that is sweet, strong but ultra feminine and dreamy this is it ❤️🌸

Yolis

Super long lasting fragrance. You will smell this for two days on your clothes. You will get whiffs of this as you move throughout your day. People are spot on when saying this smells like the powder on marshmallows or those sweetheart valentines day candies. (I don't get any orange blossom or bubblegum other people are smelling, but I also don't wear it on its own.)

I don't like sweet scents but this isn't caramel cloying brown sugar suffocating type of sweet, despite being insanely strong. This is way too much on its own, it's so sweet it almost smells medical like a dentist's office to me. But when you wanna put some marshmallow powder on top of another fragrance? This is BOMB for layering.

This also smells super nice in your blanket FYI I be sleeping goooood with my bed smelling like this

LittleMissMalicious

Love,Dont Be Shy... What can I say. It smells like a beautiful marshmallow cotton candy dream cloud!!!! I bought it for my sister, so sweet and seductive. The scent lingers for HOURS. Its very expensive but you get what you pay for! It was 275 for me with promo

kangbi

everytime i wear this i lowk wanna eat my arm.. the orange blossom + marshmallowy sweet combo drives me insane. love this
