What can possibly be said about this ethereal beauty that has not been said before?

It’s an earth goddess glamazon who wears pearls. She is in charge and WILL let you know. Sophisticated. Not sweet. Daring and beautiful. Every perfume lover should have this.

I began the descent into the Miss Dior rabbit hole with 2 bottles of old Esprit de Parfum, not fully realising what it was. I hadn't read any reviews of Miss Dior and was just adding to my vintage perfume collection.
It's such a surprising perfume; as I am still a novice with Miss Dior I won't go into too much detail but it starts off so prim and proper that I was certain it would just be a collector item and not one that I would wear. But trialling it that first day I told my husband and, he agreed, that behind all that initial politeness is a 'dirty bitch' clawing her way through.
What's interesting is, reviews for vintage EDT and Parfum say exactly the same thing.
For the first time today I have been experimenting with my pristine vintage Parfum (sealed on purchase and bought so long ago I forgot that I had it!) and some really old EDTs and although lovely, I am getting nowhere near as much sauciness as in the Esprit version.
In fact as I type, my right wrist with the Parfum applied about 15 minutes ago has no hint of a wanton hussy lurking within the distinctly 'old violets'' phase - maybe she will reveal herself in an hour or two!
Review for the Esprit version aren't as many as the EDT and Parfum and I agree with a previous review here that, the Esprit is underrated.
My journey has only just begun and I am aware that smell is learned which, is why when coming back to a new perfume after a break we smell things we didn't register the first time round and we change our minds about them, so I may be reposting in a few months with a more detailed impression.

I wasn't sure what to do. Buy it or not, as I already have the eau de toilette originale. But the rating on this one is higher, so I bought it anyway.

Yes, there is a difference! This version is less fatty, less soapier, dryer somehow if it makes any sense.
Therefore I think it is closer to Vol de nuit, as well.

In case you're a parfum-nut like me, it's worth having both.
Otherwise you may be more happy buying 2 completely different perfumes.

For me: I love having a new perfume :-)

I bought this perfume a few days ago, without knowing anything about it, I read the favorable opinions and in view of the components of its juice, I decided to buy it, as they say colloquially, a purchase at the blind.
And I'm glad it's a wonderful scent.
As soon as he was discovered he seemed to recognize something already known, so I put my finger on it, he has a perfect similarity to Jannet El Firdous from Swiss Arabian.
Possessing the latter in oil version that I like a lot, so I found myself on familiar ground and not so far.
Perfect in a collection and to wear for pleasure, this Miss Dior perfume extract can also be worn on a man.

Mystères du Château de Dé

I am surprised this fabulous fragrance flies so under the radar, receiving no attention.

A great scent. It exudes confidence and when you want a chypre, this is the one that will best scratch that itch

Mystères du Château de Dé

Wow! My brand new bottle of fragrance sprays a real, dry as bone, classic chypre! Green ranging from fresh to deep. A jasmin that a jasmin-wary nose can love. Dry patchouli! No need for niche nor vintage here. Impressive! Why don't more design houses deliver such classic goods? Was this classic never that dependent on oak moss? About one hour in, becomes arguably unisex. I'm going to want the extrait, if it tops this.

I live for the drydown in this one (Esprit de Parfum). The one I have is from a very recent batch (year 2020) and it smells absolutely amazing - rich and intoxicating. I feel no need to hunt for vintage formulations.

I found a good deal on a 2015 bottle of the Esprit de Parfum, and I found absolutely no difference in sillage, depth, or longevity compared with my recent bottle of EDT Originale. They're both lovely and they both perform decently well, but it looks like the EDP was reformulated along the way.

This is closer to the originale Miss Dior than the current variation: Miss Dior Originale. It is more chypre, grown up and longlasting, not just a faint reminder.
I love it, and I happy I could manage to get it.

Review for VINTAGE Miss Dior Esprit de Parfum, not 2011 version.

Favourite scent of my wife, also I can say that this is one of the best women's scents that I have tried. Much better than original Miss Dior and crazy potent.

The best is older version of this scent, this one pictured here is a bit weaker than vintage one. Bold, rich, potent, warm. Also not much old-fashioned, wearable today.

Scent 10/10
Projection 10/10
Lasting 10/10

New one is 6/10 compared with vintage.

Miss Dior is admirable. Her beauty lies in her charming spirit, in her old soul but young, fresh appearance.
Initial is herbal like, dandelion note. Middle is light leathery, aromatic sensation, and base is very much like First by Van Cleef and Arpels, which I personally adore.
Light but lasting, intoxicating...

I worked at the Christian Dior counter as a manager for almost three years between 2008-2011. I have a bottle of Miss Dior Esprit De Parfum that has a batch code from 2007. It was a tester bottle, which we had been sent in to demonstrate Miss Dior EDT before it's 2011 reform. I would often acquire testers as incentives for making targets ect. I don't see any page to review this version, which is a shame because it single handedly sparked my intense passion for complex vintage mossy scents.

This fragrance is a full bodied mossy green floral that starts off with a burst of lemony glabanam. Then softens (after at least 3 hours) in to an alurring white floral jasmine, lily of the valley and rose. Ending with a fully loaded base rich with oakmoss, veitiver and patchouli.

I wore this fragrance to see my grandfather in the hospital before he passed away in 2010. The staff were none to pleased by my choice of such a forceful scent. ( I wore Tuscany Per Donna by Estée Lauder to my Grandmother's death bed four years later and no one was offended, lesson learned).

I also experimented with ketamine in order to totally and full experienced this complex jem, as some of you might know it really heightens your olfactory senses. It was quite the trip twisting and turning as each layer unfolded. It was like walking through a bright sunny green feild into a deep mossy forest but at the tree line is a bed of lush flowers you have to meander through.

I don't think you can buy this formulation, I'm not sure you ever could in Canada where I live. So I do feel blessed to own my little bottle. I wear it in very early spring when the snow is mealting and the first green grass is poking out. It will linger with you on your coats and scarves for the rest of the season, so for me in really embodies early spring ( feb-early April). If anyone knows anything about this formulation please write a review and enlighten me.

I have been wearing this since the late '90's, yes, the Esprit de Parfum - so not sure why the description says it was launched in 2011. This is a beautifully elegant fragrance that dries down to a mossy green floral. The staying power is incredible. This is not a sweet, little girl perfume, this is a grown up "don't mess with me" lady who means business.

magie

this is so lovely.I do not believe it has only 3 notes, it is so much more complicated than that. Green blast at first then softens to galbanum heaven. After a while it dries down to lovely floral with green undertones. Lasting power and silage are great. Strong sexy, a real prize.

Mine is the Originale version of this Esprit de Parfum from 2013. It smells almost identical to Miss Dior EDT Originale except it is richer, a little less dry with a touch of warmth and lasts longer. Very nice!
