DKNY Women Fall (Metallic City) Donna Karan for women

Somehow i dont like this fragrance... It was a blind buy, but i find it way too powdery. The violet comes off strong and i dont sense any other notes, of the beautiful notes listed in this fragrance.

It is heavy to me and i find this surprising, because i absolutely love heavy, powder and gourmand. I love Hypnotic Poison and Addict for instance.

But this fragrance just can not get it right... I am certainly not comparing it to those heavy weights, but i am just a tad disappointed. It is neither sweet, nor sexy to me, just violet powder.
I would describe it as smelling similar to face powder, lipstick or foundation. I get the same vanillic undertones as a dry down.
A bit sad because i love DKNY and have had many of their scents and i continue to purchase DKNY.

Metallic city smells like Paris Hilton's Heiress with an oriental-peppery background.

It reminds me of Wrigley's Juicy Fruit, perfume, and a bunch of office women in heels and pencil skirts going to happy hour on Friday. It also has a certain department store and/or tanning salon kind of scent.

It is differs from my expectations as it is more of a floriental with fruity nuances. Nothing like Inspiration. Pineapple is rather prominent.

It is kind of laid back and not terribly elegant due to the boozy-fruity element to it. Not my style but I would wear it for a night out.
