Sweet, candy violet. Yes, it can be a bit doll head plasticy and sickly sweet, but I absolutely love it! It is way outside of my usual fragrance profile, but there is something about it that has me hooked. I'm smelling my arm all day long. It has excellent longevity, after 7 hours it is still going strong. Very happy with this purchase.

tooombie

unfortunately this fragrance made me realise i do not like violet. Super sad since the rasberry not is beautiful :(

RickyChenRC10

A very vibrant violet scent. Gives me a little bit of fatigue/nauseas, only a little bit. Imagine walking in a green garden filled with purple violets. On a 60ish degree f weather.

amnebe

This fragrance is for candy-lovers. It reminds me a lot of the smell of Sweet Tarts, putting it a similar category to me as L'Interdit. I'm not smelling any sea water, but I do smell violet, raspberry, and vanilla sugar. I love it.

Danimcc90

This truly smells like 3 or 4 cheap body sprays mixed together, it’s a tooth ache in a bottle and my nose is truly offended. I cannot believe people want to smell like this. Synthetic mess 0/10

Iepurica19avril

What raspberry?! Smelks like melon and violet to me 🤷🏼♀️

alexa.o

A very violetty fragrance, really soft and ladylike and works for any time of the day and any season. The vanilla mixed with the violet gives off quite a familiar scent, but I cannot really place it, it's reminiscent of long walks around the city parks on a holiday when everyone is chilling and relaxed. You might be having a picnic in the park or having a drink at a terrace cafe, while wearing a light dress, those kind of vibes.

Really love it. No matter how much you spray it, it doesn't become unbearable or suffocating so you can dowse yourself at will. I would recommend it if you are looking for a very feminine scent that you can wear all around.

virginialeduc

Such a love at first sniff!!! It's so special! Powdery, with a zing (lime and raspberry). Dry down heavenly with vanilla. Strong performance!!! I just love it!!!

greenglama

Celeste transports you into a parisian boulangerie: fresh bread, whipped cream, candied violets and guimauves all around, and you are charmed and excited like a kid! A few minutes later, waiting in a queue, you suddenly realise - this is not the fine one... colors look unnatural, it smells a bit synthetic, and you are not even hungry, not to eat all this big heavy vanilla bulk mess for sure

Evie6

Got it as a tester. Nothing wrong with the perfume but it did teach me that I absolutely hate the smell of violets.

Yankeegurly

It’s too powdery and metallic for me. I agree with the other reviews on being synthetic.

ElectricLiz

An enigma. This is a BIZARRE fragrance. It's got my head spinning because one moment I like it and the next I don't. 🤣 I'm getting all of the emotions that everyone else has gotten here. I get an instant ODD metallic/inside of a refrigerator sensation at first. But it fluctuates with a powdery violet smell I LOVE. Plastic-y for suuuuure. Then I get a super synthetic sugary note, that transitions into a beautiful soft vanilla veil. Also, lime and raspberry where??? And also, sea water YES, but how? LoL I'm so confused!!! I love and hate this at the same time. I have only used a dabber sample tube, I think I need to get a spray decant and over spray so I can REEEALLY pick out the notes well. This could either be a banger or a meh scent for me.

Side note: I saw my friend out one day while wearing this and she hugged me and absolutely LOVED the way I smelled. Said it reminded her of the MAC makeup counter 🤣🤣

dlst08

Loving this at the moment, although wearing Celeste feels like I'm regressing back to notional tween-hood. I agree with the comments below - the opening notes are pure starburst sweeties (the red or pink ones) with dolls-head plastic that emerges from the violet-plus-aquatics, and later on there's a biscuit- or toast-crumb note layered with the sugared-violet and condensed-milk, before everything subsides, very slowly, into yankee-candle vanilla. Wearing this in public might be a stretch as it really feels very young, the perfume equivalent of wearing pigtails with large pink-satin bows, excess blusher and glitter lipgloss, but in a way it's quite a sophisticated construction (rather than effect) and I really enjoy it.

leaves.n.rain

For me, this fragrance is almost exclusively raspberry, violet, and vanilla. This smells similar, in my opinion, to Vanitas by Profumum Roma. Although it smells nice, it's not groundbreaking, and it doesn't have any marine notes to set it apart like I was hoping.

dewyblue

I wanted to love this fragrance so much! The packaging and philosophy behind note combination is so so so lovely. However, to me I got a plastic-y pool toy metallic floral that was repulsive to me.

Msala140

Oh my god . As soon as I sprayed it I got a sweet aquatic fresh note along with the candied violet that comes off as almost a bit make up powdery as if candied violets has been tossed around with some light make up powder. Once I begin to this the candy is a bit too sweet I get hit with the coolness of the watery notes and fresh makeup powder. That powder then settles into a very fluffy warm vanilla and the water note tones down. I don’t get any lime.

This fragrance is a dream . This dry down is to die for .

lmnsvgz

One of the dreamiest perfumes I have tried!!

Sweet violets, very soft, feminine, powdery. It doesnt smell like Insolance - it doesn't have the slightly vintage note of Guerlain, and Celeste is sweet.

It kind of reminds me of the Cottage Violette bath/shower gel :)

elenagr22

Disapointed :( I really wanted to like this as I really appreciate GDT as a house.

This smells like soapy candied cantaloupe. Really weird scent if you ask me. Kind of edible but again no.

NOT a safe blind buy!

celi

I was intrigued by this one, because of the the violets, the powderiness, the name. But I won' t even be able to use my sample. Stomaching sweet lactonic vanilla, with some plastic-like artificial undertone I can' t really identify. On top of that, powderiness and violets, but nothing to share with my beloved Insolence. This one took my breath away in a different way. If anything, it shares something with Casamorati's Dama Bianca in my book, like two sisters with similar physical constitution but different colors.

LauraSmellsGood

Sweet soapy headache inducer. Not in a good way. Pass!

nassiesamou

I bought a sample of this from LuckyScent, and I fell in love as soon as I opened it. This is every bit as light, fluffy, and ethereal as people describe it to be online. In the opening, it smells like candy hearts and powdery violets. The lime and raspberry aren't too distinct, but they do give this perfume a subtle tartness. Hours after the first spray, the violets dissipate and leave a straight-up cotton candy dry down in their wake. I don't consider this to be particularly aquatic, but the seawater note provides a fresh dewy feel that lingers throughout wear. To me, Celeste smells like sweet fairies fluttering over a field of violets on a misty spring morning. In my experience, perfumes with similarly effervescent scent profiles don't usually perform very well, but this one surprised me. The little bit I applied from my sample has lasted on me all day and created a really mystical scent bubble around me. Definitely planning on getting a full bottle soon!!

shoujomarina

i was expecting to love this, but wow this is too on the nose for me! the salt water is very prominent so it gives Celeste this almost sour melon scent. the violet vanilla is very plasticky, makeupy or doll like. i respect this for what it is, because it is unique and different than anything ive smelled (which i admire in niche frags) but i just cant imagine myself wearing this. i dont think other people would enjoy the smell of it. its for a very particular type of person. i prefer Violet Mallow by solstice scents for a sweet candied violet. or dama bianca! im going to test Matelda next to see if i prefer it. not a safe blind buy!

update; i do tend to enjoy the dry down more than the initial spray. its plasticky violet vanilla. very conflicted 😭 will have to test it more

myadkov

Violet but with lots of complexity. The marine notes are smoothing it much! It is a very delicate composition. Overall an amazing perfume, reminiscent of Millesime Imperial.

wondervalley666

I hadn’t sampled from this house yet but was really interested in Celeste, more so than the others in this line. I have been curious to find a good vanilla violet scent. I felt Dama Bianca didn’t have enough violet or strong enough performance.

Unfortunately I’m not sure if Celeste is exactly what I’m looking for either. The opening is a violet bomb with a heavy plastic vibe. I intensely dislike plastic type smells, I’ve found them headachey and nausea inducing since childhood. The plastic phase does mellow out after about 30 minutes or so, then the scent dries down much nicer, but that opening is just too much for me. I respray/touch-up my scents frequently but don’t see myself wanting to do that with this one.

Overall it’s actually nice, I just dislike the opening. Even after the drydown, smelling this is starting to trigger a mild headache because of the plastic smell on the opening, my brain knows it’s still there and isn’t happy with me about it.

Pretty bummed this one didn’t work out the way I hoped. Maybe I’ll try again and apply lighter next time.

I sold my Bianco latte cause I found it too one dimensional. This is a candied violet take on Bianco latte. I love Celeste! She steps it up and you’ll still get BL in the background. The violet and raspberry makes the fragrance ”fresher”. Not fresh in a zesty kind of way, just a little less sweet and more complex. Must be the lime and marine notes. I don’t find it aquatic at all. This smells basically the same as BL once it dries down. I really love the sweet, dense gourmand vanilla in them both. I get when people refer to burnt plastic or gasoline, this fragrance needs to be used with caution and distributed evenly and sparingly. Too much on the same spot will be overwhelming. If I didn’t know the notes I would think there were dry coconut, condensed milk or caramel/burnt sugar in there. It’s supersweet and lactonic. Think of a more sweet dense Insolence by Guerlain. It lasts forever and projects amazingly. 2 sprays are enough or I get nauseated. My favorite from the line, and I tried them all from the Discovery set. I have nothing similar in my collection. In my top 10 today, it's dear to my heart and so special!

gourmondluvrr

To my nose, this smelt like burnt plastic. I’m not sure if it just didn’t mesh with my skin but after multiple tries I can officially say that im giving up on this fragrance. I’m a bianco latte lover but I’m not getting any of that dna from celeste. I did love BoraBora though. Sad but this perfume totally grossed me out

Ruthmarie0

Selenity

If you found YSL’s Libre line to have too much lavender or be too boozy, give “purple florals” a chance again with this confectionary violet. I always said lavender is the worst of the “purples” and, had I smelled Celeste perfume first, I would have left the other alone.

This captures, what I like to call, the “sleepy/calming” quality of this end of the floral spectrum pretty well. When I smell it, I imagine sugared violet petals in cream. I saw other reviews mention there are candies that smell similar. I’m eager to try it because the scent profile has this kinda sticky, gooey, milk candy quality (what I now recognize as Bianco Latte DNA). The floral sweetness of the scent makes it youthful, the fruit adds the refreshing quality, and the base brings it all together to give you the perfect spring sweet scent with depth.

I don’t really get a marine vibe from this and I feel that’s for the best.

💜 Celeste 💜

This perfume is giving me all kinds of memories and feels. Okay so as soon as I sprayed it this reminded me of Violeta’s Francesas. I could pick up on that Violet smell right away which is beautiful. Then I got a watermelon 🍉 hard candy note. Although it’s not listed it must be some sort of fantasy smell possibly coming from the raspberry and lime.

As it begins to dry down I get a cotton candy like note. This is fun and flirty without being kiddish. If you were a big fan of pink sugar like me but find it too synthetic and cloying and overly sweet this is the refined more elegant cousin of pink sugar. It’s beautiful candied violets with an hint of watermelon with a pretty vanilla dry down. Smells like something a princess would wear.

I plan to wear this all spring and summer.

desertdweller

This is straight up pink sugar if that is your thing. Dont get me wrong, its lovely, so lovely I wanted to buy a bottle immediately. It is airy cotton candy with just a hint of violet. Sillage is great. It's just that when I sprayed my $15 pink sugar body spray I couldn't notice a difference. That squelched my need to buy a bottle of this although I love it. It is candied, youthful, fun, airy, and still has decent longevity.

BllyDncr

A scrubber for me. This made me ill after a few hours. To me, it’s violets and an iris note sitting on top of Bianco Latte, which is a very weird combination that does not blend at all to my nose. Same waxy synthetic feel of BL, with dust in the mix. Just weird, not for me at all.

olganbo

First, like every Giardini di Toscana this perfume have a really good projection and longevity. It practically smells like the real violet candy, really sweet. But unfortunately for me, there is this rather salty note that I smell time to time which is really annoying, do for me it's a no. But I think that despite this, it's a good perfume for those who like very sweet daytime scents but nothing extraordinary.

Similarien

Strong projection and longevity but totally not my smell. Overwhelmingly powdery + floral. I so much didn’t like it that I had to wash it off my skin as was causing discomfort.

Shanty36

Review is based on a 2ml decant sample - all i see is hype for this fragrance on YT but i am not a fan. It smells like a cheap cantaloupe hard candy with something slightly powdered milk in the background. It's sweet but has this indistinct, artificial candy fruit aroma (which i can only assume is the raspberry sweetening up the violets). It doesnt smell bad per se, just really processed and artificial. I was dying to get my hands on bianco latte and almost blind bought it at full retail price but i dont think i will after testing this one out. I'm probably being a little hard on this given the seemingly misdirected hype but im rating it a solid 2.

ShooF

So further update, I might have jumped the gun on this one, let it sit for 2 weeks & that burnt wood stench has gone completely & this has sky rocketed into a love, so much so that there's an FB on the way! The longevity on this is immense, even the jacket that was being worn I can smell it over a week later. Mallow was to be the next purchase but this has pushed it out. Already have Dama Bianca in our collection but it doesn't have the projection of this one.

Elissa40

I love Bianco Latt & recieved Bianco Latte bottle with a sample of Celeste. I enjoy sweet Gourmands especially Vanilla’s. I do not like Celeste on my skin at all. I’m not a big fan of violets. I was fairly repulsed by Celeste. Reminds me of a powdery violent scent from Avon that I wore when young. Very familiar. The marine smell may be adding to the dislike.

FloraPalmer

As someone who adores bianco latte, thought i would love this - i absolutely love super sweet, strong and sugary gourmand perfumes with violet notes. However, I absolutely hated this, and I rarely feel nauseated by a scent. There are many good reviews so it may not have worked with my skin chemistry, but the salty scent combined with the sugary smell smelt exactly like playdoh, to a nauseating level.
In the bottle, it smells quite pleasant, with the violet notes coming in strong, but on the skin it was just awful! I waited for the dry down and it slightly toned down to a more vanillic scent, but I eventually had to scrub it off because I couldn’t bear it.
I usually take reviews with a pinch of salt, but this is absolutely not a blind buy, so I’d recommended to sample before committing to a full bottle!

marchat

I wasn’t impressed with Bianca Latte, but this! Candied violets to my nose. It is so girly and magical!

OneSnifWonder

The marine notes in this really threw me for a loop. I think the combo of fruity notes with the salty sea notes actually hit me wrong. I tried it on skin and the dry down is better balanced but, on me, its a basic milky coconut in the end.

yuki99999

Celeste is tropical fruit soda (probably due to combo sea + lemon + raspberry) with subtle vanilla. Very nice. Normally, I love light woody scents, this one don't give me a headache in the winter, indoors, for a few hours. Then it's enough, I like it!!!

Sillage is good! I already heard that this brand sillage reputation, so I sprayed it on my elbow only, then put on a cardigan. The moment I took off my sweater to check further, just 3 SECOND!!!! Even I haven't get the smell yet. My roomate, 3 meters away from me, yell immediately. Too strong, too strong!! I had to put the cardigan back on immediately. ~.~

But I don't feel it's too strong, probably because I use perfume everyday. For this perfume, I'll just wear it under my clothes for indoors, or just 1 spray behind the neck.

I blind bought the full bottle based on my favorite reviewer :D. Before this, I have Sol de janeiro 59 cream. When I got the FB, from outside of the tester, it smells so similar to Sol de janeiro 59 cream!! So scared that I bought duplicate fragrances. Luckily, they are different.
After few hours, the Celeste's vanilla note is now similar Sol de janeiro 59 cream, but Celeste have more citrus smell compare to 59 cream.

MemphisJonea

The violet, florals, and vanilla are all absolutely lovely. Unfortunately the sea note made me want to vomit, and I normally love a salty/aquatic note. I had to wash this one off. If you do like it, it’s got that nice thick quality and good longevity that the other Giardino di toscana scents have.

OmtzBarbara

It smells like watermelon sour patch with milk and dries down into a burned rubber/tire smell and fish.

I tried in on a decant and it was okay but I do not know why it leaves that impression on my skin.

turdferguson95

Blindbought a sample of this because the notes sounded intriguing. Such a pretty fragrance. Sweet (not sickly sweet) and slightly citrusy, powdery soft violet candies. Sprayed twice on my arm at 10 PM and could still faintly smell it when I woke up at 10 AM the day after. Moderate sillage. Spring in a bottle-type of perfume. I might have to buy a bigger sample very soon.

fairymeist

OMG this smells exactly like those fruit shaped powdery candies I use to eat when I was little, this took me back in time. ( not sure I want to smell like this tho)

Edit: I always edit my reviews because they always change and my opinion transforms. Anyways, I need to get a bottle of this, this smell is so special to me, so creamy candy like, powdery violety, love it 🤍

Snob Smells

Smells like Banana Salt Water Taffy.
Not a fan.

mckfly24

Cotton candy gasoline?

KowltheOwl

Absolute beast mode violet gourmand. Smells like a mash up of Insolence and Solstice Scents Violet Mallow with crazy longevity too.

My initial thoughts after I sprayed my sample...this may be too much...now I am pondering a FB. Magnificent oomph with this one...be ready for the ride.

Kaareneparker

Fads fast. To me it smell a little like watermelon. Tart sweet vanilla. I could do without the opening sea water note. It’s playful and very sweet smelling for quite awhile, the dry down is vanilla cream to me. But it fades rather quickly. Enjoyed my decanter but not worthy of a full size.

Ececanga

Dama Bianca on steroids

JaySentz

To be honest I only really get vanilla sugar with some pleasant clean musks. The violet disappears quickly after it’s sprayed and then it’s just a simple sweetness. The listed notes of lime or raspberry, not really (would have been nice though and made this more interesting). Maybe some of the salt water from the ambroxan but far from being anything remotely aquatic. Really good longevity.

ShooF

Just wanted to update slightly, I can still smell this on the tissue I sprayed yesterday & TBH it's good, not sure it's better than Mallow as it's not truly the same, but it never got better on my wife's skin, that burnt wood vibe stayed yet on paper I get sweet violet. So definitely not a blind buy.

Lakooo

This is a nice fragrance, but I don't smell most of the notes listed. For the first two or three hours, I get paper and dry wood, with the very barest hint of iris or violet. After that, it's strictly a skin scent of vanilla and amber. Pleasant, but not as advertised, at least not on me.

ShooF

First impressions- disappointed! I had never heard of this until watching a YT fragrance vlog in which the reviewer stated that this was a better version of Sora Dora Mallow, so as Mallow is on the to buy list I thought i'd better check it out, not to mention that this is cheaper for 100ml than Mallow for 50ml. Put it this way Mallow is still on the list! Initial spray I get the Marine & lime, not unpleasant but already have Dama Bianca for lime, drydown I just don't get any raspberry, on paper it's a sweet woody smell, on skin that wood has an almost burnt smell. No way a blind buy, I'll let it sit & go back to it but at this point it does not translate to full bottle.

Virginis

If you like violets and gourmand perfume, you will not be disappointed.

Giardini Di Toscana did it again after Bianco Latte, as in my opinion, this is a complex, but simple masterpiece.

Sleekdecadence

I love the scent of violets. It is a beautiful unique and well balanced fragrance although violets on me are terrible, my skin doesn't cooperate with them neither iris. Feels rancid on me unfortunately. Sillage and longevity are good.

Love & fragrance#01

Oeff. This makes me nauseous. I received a sample after blind buying Bianco Latte.

Miss Archie

I don't have anything that smells like it. Strong purple flowers in the opening and very lactonic dry down like its sister Bianco Latte. This one is really a complex journey that I absolutely adore. I blind bought this but would not advise to do so. It is not mass appealing.

Velyakova

When I first sprayed it, I didn't really love it. I got pure violet note, definitely the sea water in the background adding something watery and salty vibes at the same time, but powdery. I gave it 1-2 weeks and tried it again and now I must admit I love it, this is definitely well blended and unique to a great extend.

Thesubtleknife

Perfect candied violets

annikahuhd

First thoughts after spraying: no, oh god no, what is that? Too sharp, and way too strong.

When it settles down, it becomes a bit more pleasant. The whiffs I'm getting are okay and in the air, the scent is quite nice. BUT when you smell it closer there is still some underlying unpleasantness - something sharp that attacks my senses. Idk if it is the mix of lime and sea or the "exotic flowers" but damn it tickles my nose in all the wrong ways.

I'll have to try it out more but first experience is not very good. And I agree with the comments before me, do not blind buy this.

// Yeah, no. I gave my sample away because I didn't want to spray it on my skin again 😂

SusannaM

I received a decanted sample of Celeste along with my Bianco Latte purchase. I have to say, at first sniff, I am not impressed. The lime and sea hits hard. It gives a Lysol linen vibe, too. Def not a blind buy.

CocoBlack

Objectively a Great quality.
It smells like flower scented candy.
Sillage: huge
Longevity: amazing

It's very strong and cloying. This is not my type of scent.

But the quality is remarkable.

It does not remind me of Bianco Latte whatsoever.
Do not buy blindly.

kouklasophia

I looooove this. Whether you love Bianco latte or thought it was basic, you must sample this.
It wasn’t a love at first sniff, I sampled it over and over to really understand this scent because it’s a very unique blend of notes that you don’t normally see together. I needed a little time to wrap my mind around this.
The opening is fizzy, I don’t smell sea notes or aquatic notes but it’s fizzy in the same way sea foam that’s washed upon the shore is. Someone else on here said that and I think that’s spot on. There’s some lime with a sprinkle of salt on top. When it dries down is where the magic happens, in my opinion. Imagine ruby red raspberries with heavy, thick, natural cream poured all over them. The type that’s a little bit yellow like dollop cream. Not whipped cream, pure dense thick cream. The vanilla note in this is exactly the same as Bianco lattes. It smells like they put the exact same vanilla in the base. They are similar in the dry down for that reason but also so so completely different. This is my favorite scent from the house. 9/10 it’s a masterpiece. It does turn into a skin scent quite quickly. Very interesting, unique, and scrumptious in the dry down. Bianco latte is blind buy safe if you like sweet vanillas, you can’t really go wrong with it. But I don’t think this will be as crowd pleasing for its much more niche and unique. Love it

rasputin1963

This is a really exquisite and intelligent violet-inflected floral, with breezy supportive notes like linens drying on a clothesline, dotted with a surprise note of what smells like black coffee. Not an exotic evening or clubbing scent, but the most amazing "tous les jours" scent, suitable for office or school, I'd say. It's tender, charming and soothing. Leans femme, I'd say, too femme for me, but some woman is going to wear the hell out of this!

spimoni

I was actually trying to get a sample of Bianco Latte, but they were sold out so I thought I would try Celeste instead and I’M SO GLAD. Within a few days of getting my sample, I knew I had to have a full bottle. This is an 1000/10 love for me. I don’t really get the lime/sea note smells. To me it smells exactly like pink starburst, then changes to Werther’s caramel with a biscuit note and the dry down is the most beautiful, pure vanilla. I wear it all the time. I wear it to bed. It’s such a fun smell.

Leanbeancoffee

Cantaloupe doll head vibes in the opening.
The dry down is nice, it turns into a subtle vanilla doll head. If you like American Cream, you might love Celeste.

achatina

Amazing. What my nose tells me is first melon and violet, it quickly goes to lime and violet, a bit like violet lime cheese cake as vanilla gets stronger. As long lasting as Bianco Latte, very sweet but also fresh. Makes you smile :).

Neckromancer

I LOVE this. Honestly, couldn't guess the notes based on the smell, I thought it had pineapple and banana, but now that I see the notes, violet makes sense, it smells a little bit like Solstice Scents Violet Mallow, but fruitier and more tropical. It's strong, I think it's great. Definitely smells like some sort of candy. I don't really get the melon or calone note people are getting, thank god, bc I don't like it.

ArmiH

To my nose this weirdly smells like the Swedish Läkerol liquorice drops. Could be rather nice without the raspberry note, which just turns it into something rather nauseating for me. Nope.

vixen1995

Wore my little decant of this the other day. I don't care for those top notes, I usually like lime, But it's a bit too realistic here, Combined with the sea notes, It just smells odd. The mid and base are nice at least. This perfume is okay, But nothing impressive, Too bare bones of a composition especially for a niche scent. It'd be fine for $20, Not $200. Just my opinion.

MarrisE

Looking for the much hyped Bianco Latte I found this beauty, Celeste made me forget my original search because I fell in love with the fragrance, this one is more elegant and with more olfactory proposal. It can be used not only by a young girl who loves to eat vanilla cake with milk, but also by a lady of 30 years or older because the touch of violet makes it more interesting. It definitely became a must-have in my favorite perfumes. 11/10

MareaCamacho

The drydown on Celeste is everything to me

The top is herb-y almost like a cucumber melon ..

It's fuzzy like sea foam..

The raspberry and violet is really smooth

But the dry down is where it's at for me. I love the vanilla sugar so much that I wish there was a perfume similar to it. . Oh wait! That's Bianco Latte 😊

Locris

I loved it very much! It is not an everyday smell for me, more like to wear on some events or at home!
I didn't smell any violets since i have no idea how they smell, also no sea or lime for sth like this.
I smell bakery. I smell vanilla buns. Tbh i feel like at home. They are VERY homey and i love that they last for several days on my clothes.
I have migraines so i am very picky but they were fine for me not irritating

Momto3Balls

Seriously, I wish that my farts smelled as magical as this elixir. I freaking love this scent so much! It's ethereal, sweet, magical and makes me smile when I wear it. Easy, sweet, feminine scent. It's not complex, nor does it try to be anything other than a happy, girly scent. Must love sweet, purple florals. I love this so much!

I also have Bianco Latte and Celeste is the better of the two.

npadua13

It’s sugar violets to me with a hint of sea mist. It’s so so sweet though. A bit too sweet for me. More complex than bianco latte however I prefer that one for versatility with layering

bunnidewy

This might be the worst fragrance I've smelled in my life aside from Zoologist Bee. I'm not getting any of the soft, powdery, sweetness that everyone in the reviews seems to be getting. The opening of this is like being assaulted in your nostrils and lungs (it's so bad that I had a coughing fit). It's extremely acrid, sharp, and sulfuric like car exhaust, which is probably due to the marine notes. Even though it subsides a bit in the drydown, it still smells like a rancid fart. Maybe if you gaslight yourself, there's a hint of vanilla or something soft in the background but it's not sweet or gourmand at all to me like some reviews have mentioned. If this smells powdery and sweet to you, then good for you because it smells like nasty fart to me!!!!!!

Scentsitivist

I love it. So soft and powdery. Lots of violet almost like candy due to the strong vanilla sugary notes. Especially in the dry down. On clothes the violet stays but on my skin almost only vanilla.

Coming back to add that the sillage is pretty good. Not overpowering for me wearing it but both my husband and my son could feel it in the room. 🌸

Becktothebone

Layer with Bianco Latte for the ultimate angelic
combination…Celeste is a top 5 frag for life.
Beautiful innocent angelic composition here…
I’m not into violet and it still has a sway.
Get a decant I hope you love this as much as I do.

Ines_01may

Well first that I have to say about Celeste, she is “that girl”.
I was on the hype of BL and ordered a sample, loved it and went to a local store to get it, meanwhile I tested Celeste on my skin and instantly bought it. I’ve worn it day and night and constantly getting compliments.
Ofc also bought Bianco latte some days later and I love it but Celeste is the elegant sister and sexy but not into your face.

eau de dosa

I like this. Definitely Violet candies, salty vanilla and citrus. However, something makes me not “love” it. I guess I’m not a violet girl because I had the same issue with Insolence. Does anyone know if this should macerate? Maybe I should let it sit longer.

ninanicolina

It smells like violet sweets to me, something that would suit 6 year old girl

trainspotting_

absolutely stunning omg. It's like a parma violet candy (I don't get much fruit tbh) with hints of salty sea and smoky wood. I only have a sample from my Bianco Latte purchase but def would buy a FB

incantava

God, I love this fragrance. It smells like my first love Bianco Latte but more complex. I don't know what Marine Notes are composed of exactly but they work because this makes me feel like I'm at the beach. It's so delicious and so sweet, like two fragrances (Bianco Latte and the added complexity of Celeste) in one. Wonderful.

Micarls

I am very new to the fragrance world, but there is something about this scent that I really don't like. I ordered a bunch of samples of popular or recommended fragrances from YouTube/tiktok that seemed to vibe with my preferences but unfortunately this was my least favorite. To me the opening smells so artificial, kind of like extremely sweet artificially scented glue. I’m seeing comparisons to watermelon, caramel, and starburst in the reviews here and what do you know, I dislike all of those things. The dry down calms to a more palatable and pretty vanilla which I do like, but I dislike the opening so much it’s not worth it to me. Definitely take my review with a grain of salt because my nose is very amateur, but this is not a scent for me.

Rozalina

I did not like Celeste, although I can see why others enjoy her. Something about the violets mixed with the raspberry note and I'm guessing calon, just smells like powder and overripe melon. I think Insolence by Guerlain is a better take on powdery violets than Celeste. My advice would be to sample sample sample, do not fall into youtube hype and blind buy this. I love Bianco Latte, so I will certainly try more from the house, but Celeste is a no for me personally.

amanda0727

I am looking for violet fragrances but this does not smell of violets to me. It smells like if you mixed Tardes and Bianco Latte together. Very strange smelling to me, I don't think I like this...

Edit: Violet really comes thru later in the drydown. Still, I don't like this enough for a full bottle. BDK Vanille Leather is way better quality.

Smeraldina77

Bianco Latte with violet and calone... I bit better than Bianco Latte, but still meh..... Absolutely not worth the hype, in my opinion. If you like aquatic / marine, violet scents, Guerlain's Apres L'Ondee remains unbeatable.

Nanalvzpink

This reminds me of a perfume that I use to own when I was a baby called Violetas Francesa.

The opening is simply not for me, I have noticed that I don’t appreciate sea notes in fragrances.

As the fragrance settles, it starts to smell very pretty, but still has the lingering sea notes and strong violet presence. I’m not a fan of the vanilla and violet combination, maybe if the violet was softer it would be more tolerable for me. It kinda makes my stomach feels uneasy, however I still keep raising my wrist to my nose to get a sniff again. Lol. A perfume has never caused so much controversy within me!

The quality is phenomenal!
Despite me not wanting to have this perfume in my collection I still highly recommend for you guys to get a sample and try it for yourself!
I believe this willl make a great signature perfume for somebody!

Update: See! I’m already back for an update and it’s only been 3 hours. Lol
I couldn’t stop smelling it.
It has settled so beautifully! The violet is lightly kissing the vanilla creating a perfect company. Although I wont be buying a bottle of this, I will definitely purchase a nice sample size of this to keep around. Who knows she may work her way in to my collection later on. Lol
Please try this, I would love to hear more reviews about this one.

Jackieelyynn

The opening is pure powdery sweetness! It then changes into a tangy watermelon-like scent. VERY juicy. I can definitely see the starburst comparisons. Sadly the dry-down is a very generic vanilla, which to me smells like the lobby of a Dave and Busters. The dry-down kind of smells like Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar or even Le Monde Gourmand Crème Vanille which are both way, way cheaper.

fabienne.verstraete

If Tocade Rochas and Insolence Guerlain would have a baby...

Feli15

Not sure about this note breakdown, because to me it smells like summer vacation by the beach and watermelon jolly ranchers and I say that in the best way possible. It's such a fun, quirky but not banal fragrance. I actually like it a lot.

Caprisumn

Opening is candied violet. I really like this.

alyssarware

This is one of the most unique perfumes I've ever smelled. Seeing that it's violet-heavy, I expected it to be really floral or powdery but this is so juicy and sweet and pretty
It smells like watermelon candy, pink starbursts, and caramel. Makes my mouth water
The dry down is straight up caramel, more than Bianco Latte. Like Werther's caramel

PerfumePixie87

I know this isn't listed but on initial spritz something about the way the raspberry is done comes across to me as a burst of juicy watermelon, which immediately conjures up images of warm summer days. The candied violet note is pervasive throughout. I'm really fond of purple florals and find the way the violet is done here to be reminiscent of Xerjoff's Dama Bianca. The dry-down is a magical cloud of musky vanilla which is very beguiling in the same vein of the Mizensir line. This is a sweet perfume that takes you on a journey, it is certainly not linear. Celeste is fruity and powdery with a hint of gourmand sweetness. She is uber feminine and smells to me as I would imagine the Nutcracker's Sugar Plum Fairy to smell.

Gellert77

Starts with sweet violets, dries down to soft, airy toffee (Omar candies! If you know, you know! ;-) )

The violet keeps playing a peek-a-boo in the drydown, but the vanilla (toffee!) dominates.

Surprisinly fresh for a gourmand - this is a gourmand (!) much more than a floral.

Maybe a totally strange scent association, but for some reason this is like the warm vanilla (winter) version of Escada's Sorbetto Rosso (2018).

Personally I donot smell Dama Bianca in this, for me the toffee dominates and there's no toffee in DB.

Soft sillage, won't fill a room.

Fluffy vanilla with a hint of sweet violets - lovely.

Ps: Move over Iris, I predict Violets are making a comeback to the scent scene! Mark my words and sniff around for the latest releases.

harmonia

This scent forms a nice little trinity together with Bianco Latte and Blu Indaco. They share a so called DNA (that metaphor is getting really old) with a soft, sweet, vanillic, powdery and musky profile. This one has the most unique smell of the three and is arguably the sweetest. The violet and raspberry notes merge nicely. The sea water makes for a fresh counterpoint, even though it’s not that prominent. Works all year round IMO. Definitely unisex, possibly leaning slightly feminine.

Scents4spirit

The first 15 minutes upon spraying this are absolute magic thanks to the top notes bringing this lovely acidity that balances the sweet notes so so beautifully, it’s like the fanciest mouth watering candied violets. It evokes a feeling of youth, playfulness, and fearless expressiveness. I rarely enjoy sweet scents so I was surprised by how much I kept smelling the blotter, it was almost addictive! Sadly after the acidic top notes disappeared the sweetness was too much for me, and it was too much unbearable and cloying super sweet synthetic vanilla :( but if you’re into super sweet vanillas then you’ll absolutely love it. Definitely worth giving a try. I just wish the acidic top notes would stay the whole time to keep that sweetness balanced 😭

fistdeepinfrosting

smells like dama bianca meets pixie sticks. I can appreciate it for what it is, CANDIED violets. definitely not my thing but definitely could be someones

islandgirlmaranda

Whoever said this smells like pink starbursts wasn't wrong! I magine a violet flavored starburst tho! This isn't my cup of tea but it is pleasant enough. Sugary, powdery, violet and a kick of bright lime. Very interesting combo!

Myrtillajus

Celeste is a wonderful fragrance.
Finding yourself in front of a lake, admiring the landscape full of wonderful flowers.
Slightly aquatic, with iris and violet that give powdery accents sweetened by vanilla, not too cloying.
Beautiful, ethereal, heavenly.
I liked irt very much.
“Earthly Paradise” painted by Pierre Bonnard.

Khodun

VERY long lasting but the smell is not my cup of tea.
I was influenced by tiktok and unfortunately the scent reminds me of expired Playdoh

sheltie9334

Sweet violets. Like violet Pixy Stix, but in no way cloying. I find it very similar to Trussardi My Name but a little less soft and minus the lilac that seems to be about equal to the violet in My Name. It is extremely long lasting, which is something I haven’t experienced with most violet forward fragrances. My new favorite fragrance.

Greendoll2

Celeste is definitely sweet, but I find that a candied violet strikes me as addictive and even refreshing, while most other florals become intolerable or just flat when sugar dipped. I think the innocent and retro associations violet possesses makes the flower well suited to unabashed sweetness that seldom goes cloying.
I detect a smooth leather beneath that violet, and the powder lies beneath it, too. Celeste is not a wildly innovative scent, but it’s addictive to me. Basically a really pleasant and girly violet soliflore to my nose. It is ideal for colder weather. What's nice is that violet is not really in trend at the moment, so although Celeste is straightforward, it still stands out in a sea of saffrons and cashmerans. Celeste is a sweet girl who behaves herself (most of the time), but she's sure not dumb.

MareaCamacho

I love celeste
Suited well for summer/spring
Cozy in the cold as well.
Casual wear and
Date night approved.
Husband woke up saying I smell so good and proceeded to cuddle.

Good to layer with gourmands

Its Addictive

Fun
Not serious/ prudish.
Candy -starburst tropical melon/watermelon vibe raspberry cream soda (like the fuzz of a raspberry)
By the sea - 🌊 waves crashing. Breeze in hair. Salty air.
Dries down similarly to bianco Latte

Great price. Under the radar. 2ml is all gone now and I can't stop thinking about it.full bottle on the way

jassca99

Giardini Di Toscana Celeste doesn’t smell exactly like Xerjoff Dama Bianca to me. The violet note can be picked up in both creating that association but I don’t think it’s enough; they do not dupe each other. The violet is candied in Celeste for sure, while in Dama Bianca it contributes to the powdery florals softly blended with an airy vanilla cloud made a little fruity and unique from the kumquat and maybe lime. They do share this fruity zest, more so in Celeste, from the lime squeezed on top of the sweet fruit notes making it wearable in warm weather. The zest is not tart or sour, but just adds a brightness.

For me and to sum it up, Celeste smells exactly like the pink starburst or even all the fave reds starbursts squished together, maybe the grape and red laffy taffy candy too but very concentrated. I imagine this is what candied violets smell like since I’ve never had. Every time I get a whiff, I think of the smell of someone forever chewing starburst or laffy taffy next to me. There’s this specific smell in those gelatinous chewy fruity candies that I get in this so exact. The longevity is 12+ hours and that was so unexpected based on the scent profile. If you’re a fruity girl that want your fragrances to last the whole day, Celeste is your girl. It also has a strong projection. Also surprising. It’s nice and who doesn’t love the smell of starburst.

CustardBunny

First spray: Sweet floral and powdered sugar

An hour in: i sence the hint of lime, very soft and complementing, actually a lovely note and i'm not normally fond of citrus notes.

I don't get any sea water from this sadly, instead i get transported into a bakery feeling like a Swedish vanilla-heart pastry.

kayelless

To me, this is a photorealistic reproduction of Choward’s Violet Mints. It doesn’t offer much more than that. So if you like those candies, or find candied violet a nice nostalgic smell, you might really like this. But it didn’t do much for me. Over time, a bit more raspberry and vanilla comes out, but the vanilla almost reads as a kind of toothpaste I had as a kid. It’s a pass for me!

lucy.murphy

This smells like Parme Violet sweets with raspberries... If that's your thing you will love it... I personally find it revolting!

SartorialFireflies

Super sweet, while also feeling like a breath of fresh air. Violet cotton candy, morning dew, and a hint of salt: a fluffy sugary violet cloud.

I don't quite think this fits the brief of morning after a storm, but it's a unique and fun scent.

xxdarkstarxx

If you are a gourmand or fruity fragrance lover who wants to smell like candy get your nose on Celeste. What I get from Celeste is watermelon/melon chewy candy/laffy taffy and as it dries down the watermelon accord stays and it’s mixed with Bianco Latte (powdery, creamy and a touch of lactonic and soft caramel nuances).
Super cute, super feminine… reminds me of fairy dust. Just lovely❤️

It’s super long lasting with a beautiful sillage and moderate yet soft projection. Femininity in a bottle❤️

Beauty&ABeast

This is so spectacular. When u first spray you can’t be sure but as soon as u let it sit, you’re certain. Some how this is deeply caramel for me. It smells like salted caramel that has a hard candy coating. This also smells exactly like something I’ve eaten before and it’s called a slapstick. If you don’t know what that is look it up. It’s a chewy caramel sucker with saltwater taffy swirled in. It also has that Bianco Latte-esq synthetic smell, which I happen to like. I MUST have this.

Charmedbymeghan

This smells like a combo of LUSH American Cream with Xerjoff Dama Bianca (or Junoon Noir*). It has a little bit of that indolic floral thing going on, which I love - it comes off to me like the raw materials of floral oils used to mix in to the perfume and I have grown to like that scent. This is very pleasant and likeable for me. I find this same "indolic" feel present in Giardini di Toscana's Bora Bora as well, which I compare to LUSH Vanillary - I own both of those. And I already own Junoon Noir (my preference over Dama Bianca), so I do not feel the need to buy the full size of Celeste. I like the way it smells though, but don't need it in my collection. This is not a safe blind buy, but if you are familiar with LUSH perfumes and have love for them then I think you can easily find love for Giardini di Toscana fragrances too, since I am finding a lot of similarity between the 2.

JaimsSith

The violet reminds me of that cheap bubble bath you used a kid combined with vanilla. It smells so good on paper but idk...

1allison

I was so excited to try this. It's a great value & the perfume line is known for great longevity. It was very offensive to my husband and I. Maybe it was just my skin chemistry, but we both thought it smelled like playdoh. I guess we don't like candied violets. I was so hopeful it would evolve but it didn't. And the dry down has a strong resemblance to Bianco Latte.

momomugaru

This is so good...it reminds me of saltwater taffy (in the best possible way), or of a just-starting-to-drip ice cream cone at the sea side. I have never smelled another scent quite like this.

Becktothebone

If you’ve ever had a honeydew melon frozen blended drink that the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf used to have or boba tea shops that is what this reminds me of And I love it! The pastel green drinks tasted so delicious & this is giving me that feeling in scent form.
Then you get the violet candies dusted in powdered sugar with a waft of vanilla. Raspberry is faint.
I’m not a violet fan & this manages to appeal.
This is my fav over Bianco Latte for sure. They do work well layered though!
I want to add this to my collection.
Such a. Unique gourmand.

CoastStarlight

Not a violet/powdery lover at all but the story of this perfume, describing one of my favorite natural events (the calm after the storm), piqued my interest as someone who loves a good seaside storm. If you are coming solely for the marine notes, you will likely be disappointed; there is an aquatic lime in the opening, bracing and stingingly fresh, but it very quickly is overtaken by a candied violet, which blows one off the seashore and straight into the village candy shop. That transitions into a base strongly reminiscent of Bianco Latte, this time with some sugared violets floating on the steamed milk. Longevity, like all of Giardini di Toscana's line, is eternal, but you have to love these base notes. If this journey sounds like your ideal day at the seashore you'll be well-pleased but if Bianco Latte, or lactonic notes in general, are not for you, look elsewhere for your stormy seaside experience.

sandybony15

Came for Bianco Latte, left with Celeste.

It is a nice candied violet fragrance that is just sweet enough.

There is something weird and off putting in the opening. Probably some molecular ingredient as Silvia Martinelli, the nose behind that brand, seems to favor the use of molecular ingredients. However this disturbing phase lasts only a few minutes.

The dry down is addictive and longevity is amazing.

Weirdly enough, I got marine notes with the shop tester. But I get none of it with the bottle I purchased. Not an issue for me.

Kaylovely

It reminds me too much of penicillin. Rather have tried Bora Bora. Not sure how I missed that violet note.
I will be selling my sample if anyone needs it.

Digi3573

It's like a caramel violet its delish and a unique gourmand

rainydays

I thought from the note structure this would be predominantly floral. The violet does make this quite powdery, but overall it is VERY sugary and vanillac. There's just a touch of fruitiness from the raspberry but it's subdued. It is youthful but well-blended and pillowy soft.

Ladym00nlight

This fragrance gives me the strangest sensation. Blind testing, without looking at the notes I would describe this as Werter's Original candy with some wafts of gas from a kitchen cooker. Strangely enough I really like it, like almost every single offering from my discovery set.

kassinator

This smells like violet candies.

susi_susina

I really love this.
I have BoraBora which is a love and this will be next on my “buy” Wishlist. This has a similar vibe to “Bianco Latte” but not a sweet, which I totally prefer as I found Bianco Latte to gourmand for my liking.

Digi3573

This is like a lactonic violet caramel scent . Very unique and it’s a love for me

Frabra88

Lactonic violettes! Such a joung, sweet and fizzy composition, it smells light hearted and merry...it speaks of joy, like the breath of youth!
I think this is a very romantic scent...a boudoir perfume for sure, more then a makeuppy one (like the violet and powdery accords seem to suggest).
I imagine it being spritzed by a joung coquettish woman while preparing herself to go out on an innocent date...sitting in front of her vintage dressing table full of body powders, puffs and Paul & Joe's cats makeup!

About the scent itself: I feel nothing marine on my skin, the main accords are purple flowers, condensed milk (more so then in Bianco Latte), sugar and vanilla.
It is powdery to the extreme, but they are right in claiming it is a fresh kind of experience! Perhaps the lime in it helps in that regards, but it is very subtle and masterfully blended with the flowers and the vanilla.
The purple flowers, which to my nose are violette, wisteria and iris, result a bit strong and harsh in the opening but soon they mellow, the sugary quality of the base makes their smell resemble that of sugared violet candies (like, you know, the purple flowers candy made by Leone in Italy!).
Sometimes they shine more bright in their flowery essence (the iris in it a little bitter), other times they are a bit stifled by vanilla and lactone (imagine the pure milk of Galatine original candies).
In the middle a touch of gentle, unripe raspberries gives a fruity dimension and even more feminity to the perfume; a vague aroma of exotic fruits can be felt too, but nothing too strong, the perfume remains majorly floral.
Dry down goes on and on with a sweet, milky vanilla and something that strongly recalls white sugar, both in texture and olfactive profile.

When experiencing this perfume I am hit by flashes of cerulean, powdery blue muted colors...the name Celeste fits it very aptly. I can feel myself as surrounded by a cloud of blue/gray/periwinkle powder, but one that you can breath and even eat without consequences!
It is quite textural this scent, as many are from the Giardini di Toscana line, could it be the ambroxan or the way Silvia Martinelli geniously works with lots of "molecular" notes? In any case, the effect is not chalky but fresh and breathable, just as they claim.

It behaves as a 100€ perfume should...projects very well and last for ages, dry down can be experienced in whiffs until the morning after.
I would advise against overspraying though...the flowers in it may become too harsh with an hairspray quality about them, and the sweetness too much to bear, to the point of being nausea inducing; I can vouch a few sprays shall last you all day anyway.

Those are the notes officially declared by the brand:
-Dihydromyrcenol, Sea Notes
- Raspberry, Violet, Exotic Scents
-Vanillin, Ambroxan

raqketa

i sampled this over the weekend and have not been able to stop thinking about it. i am admittedly not a purple florals girl, largely because i tend not to like "powdery" scents and purple florals (iris and violets) tend to also be, well, POWDERY. for that reason, i've never really dabbled in scents that are heavy in the popular purple florals. i sprayed this on without looking up the notes first. i immediately thought, "this is what pretty girls smell like." it is bright, uplifting, powdery (not in a fluffy way, but almost in a chalky way - like flintstones vitamins). it is sweet and fruity (probably in large part from the raspberry), but the citrusy-marine opening keeps the sweetness from being overbearing. the vanilla at the bottom almost gives the drydown a gourmand quality. i've heard people for a long time say things smell like "candied violets," and now i know what they mean. i've fallen for this fragrance - HARD!
