Been told this perfume is sexy by men

Mynotaur

I had the original formula with the tall, frosted bottle and black cap. It was exquisite, spicy and perfect for winter. I would love for a reissue.

bowbonita

This perfume is so creamy to me. It is so strong yet not offensive at all. It's like people can appreciate your scent without being disturbed.

Gourmandwoman41

Please bring this back. It is in my top 3. Best smelling perfume ever. Clean and fresh, warm and sensual. A masterpiece, don't understand why it was discontinued.

sandradiana

@selinacat you are right they are similar, lalique le perfum is more vanillic in the dry down
This one is has more bay in the opening

Sirinaaa

Anyone has this perfume ? DM me if you want to sell it

I am so happy that I finally can hold in my hand my own 50 ml bottle of this beauty. Can say it was a blinde buy as I couldn't remember how does it smell, I had only memories.
I can say it is not a ground-breaking scent, but it's so comfortable, happy and pretty. On my skin the Lilly-of-the-walley and the sandalwood steal the show. What a creamy and elegant hug!

Mholliday8986

This is the BEST smelling scent I have ever smelled- ever. I would wear this and get CONSTANT compliments. I am devastated that it’s discontinued and I’m saving my empty bottle to hopefully find someone who can replicate. I’ve tried from oil perfumery and it’s pretty awful- smells way too flowery.

mhubbard1961

Such a great fragrance, sadly discontinued. Just a little sexy, more of a cold weather scent. Not heavy on the citrus. It's been many years, but I remember this is for a light hand and lasts all day.

JanaSlimsek

When I worked as a perfume promoter I never really gave this fragrance much attention. I became really interested though when I saw the reviews and how similar it is to Body Shop's Love etc, which I owed back in the day in 2011 and was looking for an alternative. So I, unfortunately, couldn't get the original Mania since it's been discontinued, but I got a very good quality replica.
I was quite surprised to realize that these two really are almost exactly the same. The only difference is that Love etc. Is overall slightly sweeter (especially the first few notes when sprayed are fruitier) but it eventually dries down to exactly what Mania smells like. I'm actually so grateful I could get my hands on at least this replica since both Love etc. and Mania are discontinued but I love the scent so much, brings back memories from 2011.
Overall a really lovely I'd say fall fragrance for daytime, really soft and cozy, not too intense, and suitable to wear in the office.

This is something that my sister-in-law likes, and I casually found somebody in Denmark selling it online at one of those marketplaces in social media. I've got 2 bottles for a bargain: a 30 ml from 2004 and a 50 ml from 2005. As the 2004 one was sealed it will become a secret Christmas present to my sister-in-law; the 2005 bottle was open, however the person who sold me wore it just one or 2 times, so the bottle was practically full. Hence my tip to you out there looking for it: keep an eye on your social media marketplaces, there might be someone out there selling it dirt cheap.
This is not my go-to fragrance, nor a signature for me, as I'm more into amber, vanilla, musk, provocative, even weird-like, loud scents, but this is a great option to wear at work. It is close to the skin with no projection for me, and a poor sillage on my skin. It lasts only about 2 h max. In my skin it is soapy, milky-like, yet the green + floral notes are very vivid. The amber/vanilla notes are well blended and come after 15-20 min, but they are not as intense as I like them to be. The bottom notes of this scent remind me a bit of Armani Code in a more lively version. This makes me think of fresh clean clothing, cashmere and linen.
Overall it is elegant, chic and well-balanced, feminine and dreamy, and by no means loud.

specialfairygirl

This used to be my favorite perfume about 15 years ago. Pretty and easy to wear, more on the sweet side, I remember it being good for the day or for the night, in summer or winter. I have bought multiple bottles at the time, very nostalgic.

sharky_shosho

This is sooooo pretty, it's fresh yet it has depth. Slightly peppery, a tiny bit green, moderately sweet. This is the perfect transitional seasons fragrance, shame it's discontinued.

Nocciola23

This is a stunning perfume and it's a disgrace they don't make it anymore. The perfect autumn or spring scent: slightly citrusy but decadent and rich. I managed to get a decant but if I ever find a bottle for sale I'll snap it up.

emilymonroe1

It has a nice smell. It feels like cashmere, with fresh oranges and magnolia on top of a haunting and gorgeous background of woods, amber, and musk. So delicate and gentle. This warm, feminine, and soothing perfume is ideal for Autumn. This is a gorgeously creamy, delicious mixture. It's somewhat flowery, slightly sweet, and really warm and soothing. It readily garners comments, is quite long lasting, and has amazing projection. Very comfortable to wear, comforting yet not too sweet. It is appropriate for any occasion. Stunning!

The only “mania” would be discontinuing this beauty and the price I got it for after that!

LucreziaNKA

This was my most complimented perfume, and I get a lot of compliments on my perfumes, but the reactions I got with it were kind of weird, considering it was nothing special to me. Primarily men would be drawn to this one, to the point that a guy followed me like a good block from the train station, only to ask me what I was wearing. Armani mania, was the right name for it.

Pierra123

I like the fresh citrus scent that it gives me
If you like skin scents , I highly recommend it

HotChaoticRed

This is my favorite perfume from my days in college, I miss this fragrance so so much! I wish Armani would bring it back. This warm feminine comforting scent is perfection for Autumn. Does anyone know of anything that would give me all the feels this scent does, something similar?

indiglo

I like the freshness from the bay leaf (which is a nice unique feature) and other top notes, but as that wears off the base can seem a bit heavy/perfumey to me. Maybe needs a lighter application.

SailorV

When I first smell the topnotes of Mania I always think there must be cardamom in here. It just has that soft, delicate spiciness I usually get from cardamom scents. But I guess bay leaf and pink pepper do make more sense, especially the dark herbal greenness of the bay leaf is quite noticeable.
Besides the spices, Mania is a "your skin but better", "I just showered and used a nice lotion" kind of scent. The trinity of vanilla, sandalwood and musk makes for a creamy, clean, warm base. Very easy to wear, cozy but not heavy or especially sweet. It could be worn for any occasion. The most outstanding floral note here is magnolia, with its floral creaminess and uplifting lemony facets. I always love a real magnolia note, it's one of my favorite flowers and a bit underused in perfumery.

I wasn't really looking for a sample of Mania, I acquired it by chance. This is one of those discontinued scents that still have a devoted following, and even though it might not be attention-grabbing on first sight, I understand how this could grow on someone and be missed when it's gone. The bay and magnolia really add the perfect twist to the inoffensive base notes.
I don't feel like I desperately need this, but I like it a lot.

Cecanonymous

One of the unique and original scents of all time! Reminds me my 19-20 years old. Time flies! Love it! 🤍

Vanillastorm40

A little meh, but non-offensive.

Chao

So the perfume is good but is more for older women. Women on age more than 50.

tobe1424

This is my wife's favorite perfume. I was trying to buy it for her birthday and surprise her but I am finding out it was discontinued. They have a few marked-up bottles on ebay but I dislike overpaying for a luxury.

Does anyone know if there is any clones or something similar?
I've heard of Federico Mahora 177 but they seem to only be available to the UK folks.

diaanz81

Armani mania starts off slightly tart and sweet from the citrus and berries but this gives way to the most amazing blend of soft, slightly powdery floral notes. The amber and woody notes lend warmth and grounds this composition, while the musk rounds everything off nicely. It has really great performance with good longevity and sillage, so, why discontinue such a lovely gem?!?

I was late to the game in finding this one which is surprising because I have loved Mania for men (also discontinued) for such a long time. Why this never piqued my interest, baffles and irritates me because this is now near impossible to find and I really fallen in love with this soft, warm and very feminine fragrance!

Update: I get the floral orange creamsicle some others have mentioned. Performance is excellent, I smell it on my clothes for days. BRING IT BACK!

gamme82

Just bring it back armani. If they would take a look at the market they would’nt hesitade. I mean it leans on a little masculine , yet its warm and sweet. Omg just bring it back!

The spicy edge in this one is what got me back in the days. Sillage massive and longevity over 9 h.

Nova_

Is there a dupe for this gem?

mychinarose

I blind bought Armani Mania a while back based on the reviews here, and because I really love cedar perfumes. This is a powdery, (almost) milky, slightly spicy skin scent, warm, not too sweet, leans masculine at times. It's subtle and I like that. Today I decided to amp up the vanilla and cedar notes, so I layered on Kyse Perfumes Vanille Cedre and wowza! It did not disappoint. Somehow it just gave it a sexy vibe. These two together are just sooo beautiful.

Austrian_in_Denmark

A like that is almost a love. So alluring, so well blended. But the bay leaves, while making the scent more interesting, get very dominant on my skin. If they were a little more quiet, this could be one of my favourites.
Parked a big bottle of Mania at my parents, and my mother got hooked and used it up in no time. So all is well :-)

Perfumepusher

It's funny because i am a new member in this review world.. I find myself mesmerized reading your reviews on perfumes bc i can see your ability to detect and recognize different notes - i have never been able to do that, besides with vanilla (it has a very recognizable scent).

Even though i have been a perfume lover and collector for a decade and still haven't found out to pin point notes, i always have a special feeling a fragrance or imagination of the woman wearing it and in which setting ...

This perfume is like a balm of love on my skin. I am not the type with a signature scent because i love so many and change everyday, but this one is impossible not to love or at least like.
Sadly it is discountinued in my country so i will seldom wear this when i feel like i need love from a bottle of perfection.

marusiatko

I bought it first time in September 2005 at JFK airport after my work&travel summer experience.I have used 5 bottles ever since and afterwards I went to something else. I have recently ordered a 50ml bottle and I have to say that it has not been reformulated. It s tenacity is really good, it s not weak by any means. It s a huge compliment getter, probably the most complimented perfume I ve ever wore. It s comforting, joyful, sweet (not sugary sweet), vanilic and little bit powdery. Very unique smell I would say. It s sad that it has been discontinued. The other one from Armani that s worth trying is Armani Lei, they have some vibe in common.

disintigratedwoman

Finally got my hands on this one!

Years ago, when I was 16 and starting my obsession with perfumes, I smelled this at my local Shoppers (in Canada) and LOVED the scent. Something about it was so comforting.. but it still felt too grown-up for me so I moved my sights elsewhere.

Then the other day (10 years later), this perfume popped back into my memory. And after reading all the reviews here, I realized I had to try and find it. After looking at many websites, it seemed to be out of stock or discontinued. I called Shoppers.. and hidden away in their cabinets, they still had a few bottles! So I went into store today, smelled it for the first time in a decade, and was in love again. I bought it.

This scent smells like orange and vanilla to me, grounded by beautiful woods. It’s warm, feminine and comforting - “cashmere sweater” is a good descriptor. Something about it is so reassuring. I feel like this is the scent of a woman who is wife/mother material. Kind, loving and sexy. Ideally fall to spring scent in my opinion, due to how strong it is.

So far, had it on my wrist for an hour and I am so impressed with its intensity. I’ll report back after wearing it a few more times for true longevity and sillage, but I am sure this perfume won’t have issues with that.

smartgirl06

For those wanting this fragrance, I just wanted to let everyone interested know that Neiman Marcus says they have this fragrance in stock with free shipping vs having to pay more on Amazon or elsewhere.

BUT GEORGIO ARMANI BEAUTY NO LONGER HAS THE WOMAN'S MANIA IN STOCK BUT THEY DO HAVE THE MEN'S EDT BUT SAY IT IS DISCONTINUED. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! UGH!

Neiman's says the women's 1.7 oz EDP is selling for $70 and men's 3.4 oz EDT for $79. I will have to contact them and see when/if it will be back in stock. This happened a couple years ago and Armani was oversold, but did replenish Neiman's stock, so maybe that will happen this time as well.

I have not tried any newer incarnation so I don't know if it is the same as the 2010 which is what I still have 1/2 bottle left and it still smells pretty good with staying power but it is starting to turn so I hope they get it back in stock. It sells out so people want it, but there seems to be no reason with how this kind of thing goes when a brand decides to cancel a beloved fragrance. :(

I'll update as soon as I can get a hold of them.

Lisalou1

Just wondered if anyone knew if this is still available anywhere? It’s discontinued in the UK but I heard it was still sold in certain places in the US. Would so love to buy some of this gorgeous perfume. 😊

Anamandy

This is a yummy scent. I love the vanilla with the orange. The bay leaf gives it a little zing and keeps the orange/vanilla combo from turning into a creamsicle. The florals are luscious and the dry down warm and sensuous. Really cozy fragrance and one I'll be reaching for more and more this season.

1000_compliments

I usually don't layer perfumes, because each fragrance has its own personality, but today I layerd Britney Spears In Control Curious and Armani Mania, and wow! Oh wow!!! What an amazing result! I sprayed Mania first, waited about 20 minuts, and sprayed In Control on my wrist. Conclusion: I cannot stop sniffing my arm. This is the first review I'm writing, just because I couldn't be so selfish and not sharing this with you. In my opinion, both Mania and In Control are very beautiful on their own, but the combination of both is from another planet!!! So good!!! Their notes bland together as one, and as a very sexy and remarkable one.

Swedelish

Reviewing an older batch.
They don't make mainstream perfume like this anymore. Mania smells like the early 2000's and not just because I know it came from that era.
I distinctly recall smelling this during that time,
and it was a happy time so my associations with it are nothing but positive.
Mania truly captures the vibe of the transitional period between 1999 and the early 2000's of Green Day, Nokia phones, hip-huggers and Mitsubishi Eclipses. What a time.
It is pure nostalgia in a bottle.
Mania is impeccably well blended for a designer scent, albeit mostly linear.
The dry down is impressive by today's standards as it doesn't ever turn into a mushy mess.
Its hues of spicy herbs stay in tact and
vanilla and sandalwood are soft but persistent until the end.
It smells like no one thing, some may even consider it boring because it doesn't try to impress you with its top notes.
It's not trying to sell you.
If you connect with it you will appreciate it for what it is and the journey it's had, and it will take you back on that journey with it.
Whether you remember the late 90's and early 2000's
there's no denying Mania is engraved as a part of its history.

Edit: Good news, Mania in 50 ml has become available on their website again. I'd be interested to see how or if the formula compares to the original.

Another edit: My bottle is from 2006 and it has aged beautifully. It smells full and lush in the opening and the top notes haven't diminished at all. Just one person's experience with a 13+ y/o bottle.

FireDragon76

I agree with the points daria_21 made in her comment but I think Armani Mania has been discontinued in many or several countries at least.

Maybe some countries have overstock?!

I can't find Mania here in Denmark and I haven't seen it on vacation abroad either since I began to search for Mania 3-4 years ago - Germany, Austria, France, Italy. Of course I don't spend my entire vacation searching for a fragrance.

Unfortunately, I don't trust my scent memory to find a widely available dupe.

Daria_21

@misha_4:

I must disagree with your statement that Armani Mania is for mature audiences only. I'm 34, have it, and love it. It's definitely not mature or dated in any way.

Why do people feel the need to associate fragrance with age groups?

Also, it's definitely not discontinued - very much still available for purchase, at least in Canada.

Misha_4

When I was in school my mum used to wear it. It smelled divine on her. It was her signature scent back then. I love it, It's for a mature women tho. Sadly, it's been discontinued now.

Sassy1

I find this one to be pretyy ho-hum. I don't love it, don't hate it, it's just "meh"...

ReneeW1

I got a mini bottle of this for about the same price as a sample so I went ahead and got the mini bottle. I am glad I did.

Admittedly, my nose is not as honed as many other frag lovers (I am new to the game) but I really did not get much bay leaf. The pink pepper & vanilla were nicely prominent and I did get the orange & Amber.

My boyfriend thinks this smells like sun tan lotion. I don't get that but I do really like it. I will absolutely buy a FB.

EDIT: I finally bought a FB and I love it so much. I have gotten a lot of compliments on this scent. It is fresh and light. I love the pink pepper! It lasts over 12 hours on me but by about hour 6 it is a skin scent. It doesn't have great sillage to begin with on my skin so it is a relatively intimate scent.

Swedelish

I am just waiting for the day I find a bottle of this for a good price. I totally missed the mark on it when it was widely available and now it appears to be discontinued! It's such a beautiful, soft, well-rounded scent that brings me back to the past somehow. Nothing else smells like it, just beautiful!

greenbluegray

How many versions are there of this? I don't mean reformulation. The black capped one seems older and smells totally different than the peachy one with the cream cap. The black cap smelled terrible to me, bought it not knowing it was a different scent than the 2004.

Divine creamy woodsy fresh fall and winter scent that I wish they still made. Very 2000s.

Daria_21

How on earth have I not known about this beauty for so long?! This is an incredibly underhyped, creamy, dreamy beautiful concoction that absolutely must be tested if you can find it.

I don’t even know how to describe it, but it’s got both my husband and I saying mmmmmm!!! multiple times a day! It’s slightly floral, slightly sweet, so warm and so comforting. Garners compliments easily, is incredibly long lasting with excellent projection. When I saw the bottle at Shoppers in Canada, I had to take a sniff because I had never seen this fragrance before. It was love at first smell, and I bought it immediately. I ripped it open in the car and eagerly sprayed some on me. Continuing on to do some groceries, a handsome man in his 50’s was behind me and while I was choosing tomatoes, he said ‘ I don’t mean to make you uncomfortable, but you smell incredible. Would you mind writing down what you’re wearing so I can purchase it for my wife?’ This has never happened to me!

Ladies, no matter what genre of scent you’re into, this absolutely must be smelled. So beautiful, and has quickly moved into to my top five favourites.

Contessa01

I can't believe I overlooked this one for so long. Well actually I thnk I do - it is very different from most of my collection and it is also less (in my area) popular than Si and other Armani's which are everywhere. I like Si Passione which was a nice recent purchase. I hardly ever see this one around but today I saw a bottle of it on it's own and tried the tester and was surprised how much I now liked it where I had once overlooked it. It has an edge to it.. like a pimento type scent.. and it also has a powdery note. I would say that the pimento note (or similar) makes it unique in the sense that it would not be accurate to just say this is a powdery perfume as this conjures up images of Lipstick Rose, etc, whereas this is more like that mixed with maybe Victoria's secret Very Sexy. It has a bit of a unisex edge but don't let that put you off as I rarely if ever like unisex fragrances but it is just something that comes to mind. Very nice and unique fragrance.

mattin5

I would swear I smelt honey in this, surprised to see it's not on the list! To me this is the smell of "joyful". It's spring, it's sweet flowers, it's a new sunny day, it's a yellow/orange dress and a radiant smile on a confident woman. I try to become the person who detects notes in a perfume but I always end up "seeing" perfumes more than I can "smell" them. I really like this one.

raiza1990

On me, it is a sweet, soft and clean powder with a vintage vibe and a happy feel. Very nice, but nothing to write home about.

senalica

I'm not surprised this fragrance has been a success for Armani. It is sweet, floral, moderately spicy and most of all - it works for both day and/or night. That warmness and depth really shows when you wear it on your skin. Beautiful and gentle - it stays with you and makes you want to come back to it again.

RobertaVal

I have found the old edition tester. The juice has orange color. The scent very fresh, but has some edges. I will wear it in spring summer evenings. I can imagine the girl with jeans white shirts and leather jacket. The scent is sweet but reminds me fresh fragrances for man. It is not sweet parfume like black opium. It almost similar with CK euproria with some vanilla. It would be the closest imagine for who will find and decide for blind buying.

kati.cp

Hi there! I have 2 bottles left of armani mania woman 50ml if you are interested thank you!

_christine_

Sometimes one note is what takes a fragrance from good to great. The bay leaf adds a refreshing herbal zing to what could have been a nice, if boring, little fragrance.

The top starts with a nice, unsweet citrus and bay leaf. It dries down to a creamy, woody musk with some very light floral notes. This one is very nice at every point in the dry down. It's very womanly and soft. There's something almost snuggly about it.

shalimaraddict

If you live in Canada and are looking for this, most Shoppers Drug Mart's still have it, and plenty of it. I love this scent, its sensual and soft. I hope they never discontinue it.

butterfly32190

A shortage? Really? I don't believe that for a second. Odds are they are reformulating it, if it's still gonna be around.

plaktukai

I want this so bad! Does anyone know if it's available anywhere in Europe except airports? I saw it at two airports, couldn't purchase because I was with hand luggage only. I know Amazon has it, but I don't trust Amazon for perfumes :(
By the way, so amazing longevity - more than two weeks later still can smell it on my shirt and coat

Brunaqcrocha

Hey Armani Mania lovers!!! It's back in stock!

Brunaqcrocha

Every perfume I love tends to get discontinued lol I just found this one out and felt in love with it. Will it ever be back in stock?

smartgirl06

So hey---re: the wonder if Mania is indeed discontinued is easy to understand--because NO ONE has it in stock except a few ebayers.

And when Macy's, Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Fragrance Net, Fragrance X, and so on, not to mention the brand itself--Giorgio Armani Beauty--are all showing it as not in stock--and when you call they all say they think it is discontinued and hasn't been replenished since September-ish of 2016--what is one left to believe when the brand itself has done nothing to quash the thinking?

As far as the latter--I called Giorgio Armani Beauty twice-- Wednesday p.m. 3/8/17--and again Thursday a.m. 3/9/17--and in less than 13 hours I was able to find--as soon as the brand got back to my c/s girl there--that, in their words, was 'a global shortage,' of it and that they would be restocking it soon.

And another, unheard of perfume online seller I had not heard of before--also got back to me and said Mania was 'oversold' and--that they were expecting fresh stock in a few weeks that they could guarantee as freshly made 3 months ago--so it looks like help is coming--for those this will affect.

I was impressed by Giorgio Armani Beauty directly, where they, as a brand, actually have USA based customer service by people who were nice, seemed to care, and had a running knowledge/familiarity to what I was asking about and were interested in getting an answer for me as soon as they could. And while their c/s so far is some of the best I have found-- the brand itself should have addressed this shortage with a simple disclaimer at the top of their own website and given this reassuring info to all their sellers to put on their sites as well.

badivisi

One of the best perfumes I ever had.People used to recognize me by the scent of this perfume,it's remarkable and very appropriate for winter time or fall !

mmm_331

One of my all time favourite scent. Love the gentle + creamy + warm feeling it gives off. Don't get why they don't promote this scent more, definitely one of the most underrated designer scent out there.

Beams

It's everything about Love ETC: Sweet, cozy and tender.
But Armani Mania is more deep and mature.
Everything in my head is about comparison of Love ETC and Mania.
Mania is more creamy and Love ETC is more sweet but it's so sketchy conclusion.
Armani Mania is my fvorite when I need to feel calm and comfort in occations like exam, work conversations or long flight in plane with my favorite sweater and stole.
If someone knows where to buy 100ml bottle, please let me know.

susieblue

Love this scent. One of my signatures. I get so many compliments when I wear this.

KitKat

@plum
it's not unusual that one brand uses same bottle shape for multiple fragrances (or even for every single fragrance in their line).

First of all Mania is not discontinued. And Code has been around for so long you can't say he used discontinued fragrance bottle shape for a new one.

plum

@KitKat:
I am aware this one doesn't smell like Code, and I didn't write so, my opinion was based only on the bottle shape. This is the one and only common thing. It's like Armani has created a new fragrance, but used a bottle of the discontinued one.

KitKat

it is not being replaced by code, one has nothing to do with another.

plum

Years ago I sniffed it once and put it on my "want" list. Not "a must have" but just "would like to have it" list. And just recently found it had been discontinued! My favourite Acqua di Gio was replaced by acqua di gioia so this one must have been replaced by Code (my guess is based only on the bottle shape).
I was going to buy it blindly as it is nowhere to be found and prices on eBay are radiculous. I found it yesterday at the Lisbon airport (if someone is interested) and the price was circa 80 euros! I sprayed it on a paper as I was wearing quite strong Opium and put the paper in my handbag. My mobile is smelling Mania now and I find this fragrance quite pleasant but not worth a blind buy for the money asked on ebay. At this moment I find it a tiny bit similar to Oui-Non by Kookai. Can only regret not buing it when it was available and reasonably priced.
Really don't understand why it has been discontinued...

diana_a_balan

A good perfume, not excellent. Designed to fit the tastes of most women. Definitely not a signature perfume. I feel like it can be easily lost in the crowd and does not bring anything new to the table.

This one for some reason reminds me of Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue which just doesn't work for me. Definitely smells like an older composition than 2004, if I didn't know better, I'd say that this is a early-mid 90's composition. It just turns into a sour, dissonant mishmash of floral notes on me, it's in fact almost upsetting. A shame, I am sure this one is lovely on the right person and to the right nose, but I can't bring myself to like it.

dglightblue

fruit ish, warm, vanilla, floral, good all rounder.

gillbert

This perfume remind me Love ETC by The Body Shop and a little bit of Si Armani by Giorgio Armani EDP . It's not exactly similar but very close to each other. BTW, i love both of them. in the opening, it very bright, fresh, citrusy, sweet and flowery. In dry down, it comes with light woody, soft spicy and light powdery. . Longevity and sillage are good. I spray on my shirt to make it last longer and i can get 10-12 hours.

Coffee King

I find Mania such a complex fragrance, an almost citrus initial burst, not unpleasant, which is followed by a wonderfully soft, delicate, creamy vanilla, which is just delicious. The Sandalwood is definitely prominent too, it seems to change so much on the skin. Longevity was about four hours, then it had pretty much gone. I thought this would have lasted longer then it did.

Kai'elle

Peppery/bay leaf opening followed by the most gorgeous black currant.

Subtle iris and peony chased through by a gentle musky amber.

Very pretty. Easy to wear...but no 'oomph' and no 'grit'.

Skin scent on me within an hour :(

L: Low
S: Soft

saashaas

A very light and safe perfume. Feminine, soft, nothing special yet... perfect for late summer/autumn. Gives me that little warmth or spice, but isnt too strong. Good everyday perfume.

Kristina25

I used to love Armani Mania. It was my go-to scent for shopping trips, days out and casual dinners with friends a few years ago. It's definitely got a late summer/early autumn "evening air" smell and that's exactly what I'm craving right now. It's not "sexy" per se; i would describe it as "comfortably woodsy" - actually, it's the epitome of the term floral-woody-musk. It's a great fragrance, suitable for all ages and definitely not in any way offensive or overpowering. Perfect for office wear and casual dates in my opinion. It's a real shame it's become so hard to find.

perfumeproblem777

This is lovely! I blindly bought a sample to try out because I'm a fan of some other Armani fragrances and I'm pretty glad that I did! It's quite floral and sweet, but I can also detect a woodsy base. Someone I knew well had to have worn this years ago, because it smells really familiar to me. It's bright and feminine and I may have to get a FB once I use up a couple bottles that I have. I'll decide for sure once I've used up the whole sample.

CoffeeCup

Hmh, interersting! On my skin it's Armani Code layered with almond oil. Thus - it's slightly spicy mixed with cold powdery. Not a fan, coz I don't do well with almondy-powdery fragrances anyways, they fall flat on my (cold dry) skin.

Longevity - 2 hours, after that it's barely there skin scent.

Thaleh

Wore this in my varsity days about 8 years ago. While I can't really remember the smell, I do recall that at some point I handed it done to a friend. Don't think I'd have done that if I thought it was good!

I have mixed feelings from time to time on this fragrance. I don't wear it very often (a few times a year). It is very royal smelling, and I ALWAYS receive compliments when I am wearing it. I am, however, not in love with it. At first I did not realize its sillage/staying power, but after wearing it to work one morning, and having a client comment on it from afar (in the very late afternoon/early evening); I began to realize that this really does play out quite well throughout the day. I did not realize that they changed the formulation! I have one of the older bottles - circa 2007, and a little squirt lasts all day. I would be curious to hear about what the new formulation is like!

aber19

The reformulations are located in Department stores, and on Ebay stores. I am not sure about duty free overseas, but I tried in a duty free in Australia. Now it was a watered down version. Once it was a robust, multi-layered fragrance. Unfortunately, we are only buying a shadow, of its former glory. The lucky ones have the vintage mania, which is still orange, but far better and lasts longer. If you like a perfume to last 2 hrs which is quite strong, then this is for you. I am disappointed in this Armani, because I have the 1982 Armani fragrance is a delight. It is amazing, it lasts over 48 hours on the skin, and it always transforming and gorgeous. In comparison, this mania is sugar water with some floral and orange ingredients thrown in.

profumi73

I love this fragrance, it's soft and elegant.

L'Oreal has owned the Armani makeup and perfume division for well over a decade. So, the fragrance might be different now but you can hardly blame L'Oreal's ownership.

This is quickly becoming one of my favourite scents. It's unobstrusive but not boring. I mostly get sweet citrus and rich amber but it still manages to be uplifting, energetic and perfect for day wear. Often rich ambers are best for night. I could wear this anywhere, anytime. It makes me feel put together but it's not something you can't wear comfortably with jeans at the grocery store and works equally well for going out. I love it to bits!

derkargy

aber19,you're absolutely right.Suprisingly,when you visit a dutyfree shop at an airport,perfumes seem to smell more intense on you,so,where are the reformulations;

aber19

Unfortunately L'Oreal has taken over Armani and the reformulation and lack quality of their perfumes becomes evident.

aber19

This perfume was a lot stronger and lush about 5 years ago. I noticed that this perfume has been weakened and possibly reformulated. It used to smell on me for about 8-10 hours. When I tried it today on my skin, the perfume smelt lovely for only 2 hrs. I think that this fragrance is too expensive. Why do perfume makers or multinationals think that perfumistas would not notice. Amazingly. This is very disappointing.

Sleek Geek Chic

It's simply nice and somewhat safe choice for a perfume. A little too powdery and definitely not for the youthful.

Baby_Parisienne

I thik that the bay leaves and peppers put this fragrance way far from my favourites... and into the bag of the first friend that likes it. I just don't feel very comfortable wearing Mania, I feel like breathig in too much of woody vanilla, and I am little sad. So many great recommendations, but I guess my skin is not the type Mania works with very well.

pfelis

Fresh, vibrant, joyful yet very complex, creamy and comforting.

I agree with the similarity to TBT's Love etc. However Mania is much more sophisticated.

The opening is fresh and citrusy as it dries down it becomes deep and warm. Sweet woodiness makes it perfect for winter.

Longevity is amazing, the beautiful warm drydown lasts really long.

I like to wear it both in office and on dates.

JaiTee

The bottle was sitting in my closet, all wrapped up, so I finally freed it today. This version of Armani Mania is the gold coloured one by Dominique Ropion, with a batch code from 2005.

It opens with fruit -- it comes across as a hint of orange, and then there's a peppery element that builds up in intensity making it seem almost more like bergamot, and the florals emerge.
In the florals, I get mostly lily, because there's a bit of pepper still sticking around.

By drydown, there's a vanilla amber that comes through, mingling with that light floral.

Longevity with one spritz was about three hours, and projection was least arm's length for the first 30mins to hour.

This scent could work all-year, and would be office-safe. It's not an overly sweet fruity-floral because the bay leaf/peppery note adds a good layer.

I'm not sure if I want to keep it, as I have enough work-appropriate bottles already, but this scent is one of the few I've gotten a compliment on, so I will hang on to it for now.

Maine_girl

Lybarra118, you pretty much took the words out of my mouth! I completely agree with everything you wrote. This is a very difficult fragrance to describe -I really can't talk about the composition of it, because I can't pick out any individual notes. I get a hint of vanilla, but it's definitely not the main player in this scent. This is a warm, yet fresh and versatile fragrance. I think it's perfect for spring, fall and winter, and would be great on cool summer nights as well. Longevity is about 8-10 hours on me.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorites - I really don't want to be without it!

Lybarra118

This is my favorite office wear, and it's also becoming my favorite daily wear in general. I feel confident with it on. Mania is woody, creamy, fresh, vanilla-y, with a hint of citrus. It has an oddly light and heavy feel at the same time, which I realize doesn't make too much sense.

I'm finding it a bit difficult to describe - I apologize. While it may be a slightly energizing scent, it's also cozy, classy, soothing and a little sensual. It's far from boring, but it is comfortable.

Projection is moderate and longevity is 8 hours on my skin. I can't pinpoint any one note in Mania, that's how well it's composed.

I see many mentions of it being discontinued. So I'd get it while you can. I have a 10 year old bottle (still good juice) and also bought a 2.5oz bottle as back up. Good new is, the scent does last.

Update: This is better in hot weather.

Katrin77

Fresh, crisp and creamy in the same time. A very complex, yet so clean scent. For me it is perfect if I know I have a long and hard day ahead. It gives me both energy and comfort. Very different from anything else I have ever smelled. I heard it has been discontinued, so I bought an extra bottle, the largest I could get, when I was lucky enough to still find it. I guess the stores just sell out the remaining stock now. It seems like many of the scents I really adore, get discontinued... Just like Sensi, which I still miss and mourn. Somewhere deep in the base notes I sense a small similarity between those two, even though they are completely different fragrances.

hippiechick13

This fragrance is fresh and lovely and with a contagious energy. It makes me feel alive and energetic and present. It's the kind of fragrance that on a person you just want to scoop them into a hug. It's comforting and vanilla, but also bright and happy.

There's a laid back, easy feel about this too. The longevity is awesome! And the sillage is perfect too. It won't knock any one out, but will definitely grab attention. Perfect if you're looking for something that isn't too musky or sweet, but is definitely smart and beautiful.

This is probably Armani's best female perfume, I think. Well conceived and optimistic.

Arlene-Beatrix

Subtle woody scent, like a warm late summer wind. Ladylike and classical. Elegant mania!

Update: warm, lots of amber too.

nukynuky

Mania is my signature , I stuck on many years ago till now. this scent make me happy every time I wore. the most of my friends woman or man like it. very success of Armani , well done blended, I love this scent.

Congeniality

I simply love it. It is spicy-orangy to my nose, reminds my love Clinique Happy, such a joyful, clean and light scent for summer days. But it is sad story behind that, because it is keeping on me extremely short time and I can't feel that beauty for longer :( Maybe oranges don't love my chemistry, because it is always the same with similar perfumes.

The Swedish girl

Oranges + farty white flowers.

Orshi

What an unusual, lovely fragrance! I received it in a swap from a lovely Fragrantica member and I love it! When I first tried it, I literally couldn't recognize any notes in it because it's all so well blended, creamy and balmy.
Someone below wrote a negative review comparing it to a pharmacy smell. Funnily enough, I understand what she means although for me it's an expensive, posh, designer pharmacy/cosmetic store smell. It's really, really unusual but feminine, attractive, elegant, soft. It's a hit with me.:)

ScarlettX

This is a lovely feminine and elegant scent. There is some light sweetness, nothing overwhelming.
I can sense light fruity and light floral notes. Also some woody notes in the base. Everything there is, is in the right amount. Really well-composed in my opinion.
I find the packing very cute because of the simplicity and the orange color of the perfume in the bottle.
Classy, a little spicy and easy-going.
This is the perfume you should wear with the smile just as the ad says.

jessbug

Armani Mania is certainly nice. It is not too sweet, not too spicy, not too woody, and not too heavy on the vanilla. I would feel completely comfortable wearing this to work, or when hanging out with friends.

On me the most noticeable notes are sandalwood and a slightly powdery, non-gourmand vanilla. Some pink pepper in the background and a tiny hint of bitterness keep this from being too simple, but there's not a whole lot of development throughout for me. It does remind me of a more subdued (less childish) version of TBS' Love Etc.

Unfortunately, on me sillage and longevity are quite limited, and I would definitely feel the need to refresh this scent halfway through my day.

For me it doesn't have that 'it' factor that makes me crave it, but it suffices in situations where I don't want to wear anything too opinionated.

nadine23

I have to add this to my previous review.
You want to have a perfume that will make men following you around, buy Armani mania.
Men love it, i´ve had the most weird, pleasant, awkward, lovely compliments whenever i wore/wear it.

beatrix75

the best vanilla amber fragrance ever

Moflis

Sunshine in the bottle, just love it!

beatrix75

love love love!!on my skin its more woody not sweet not powdery not flowers smell its between!!!!

vnic

is this really being discontinued?? it is a beautiful perfume i hope it's not

derkargy

I wish I had another bottle(the fourth one):I am afraid it will be soon discontinued!

pomdgf

Poison in a bottle !! From my experience, mania is incredibly sexy. It's working both of men and woman. Sweet, sexy and warm. I love the way that sandalwood and vanilla working on me. It's like an invitation to come to bed and then......

mvolta

i've been stealing spritzes of this perfume from my mother, and i find it to be so versatile. it works well for daytime and night. there's something creamy, warm, and luxurious about it. i find that whatever my mood is, i don't regret wearing this. i don't really get the citrusy notes. for me it smells more like a rich peppery vanilla. it's classy and delicious and i need to buy my own bottle immediately!

mirisnamo

reaaalyyy good one!!! :)i've been looking for my "second" favorite parfem, after bvl "parfum II"..this was the only one witch i could smell the next day, and all day wearing..i have spend a thousand euros for that searching, buying and giving the bottles away..
however, this one is what i want! elegant, not sweet, different from the most "all same" new parfems..
really, really happy!!

TakaBeata

On me Mania smell like fresh version of Joop,Joop Femme.

Cherine

armani mania ( my signature scent) will be discontinued :(((
please if you find a perfume which smell like armani mania, share please

my favorite fragrance ever

Mooniq

On my skin peppernote turns magic. It softens down the sweet notes and blend perfectly with the other notes. This is a grown-up scent for a grown-up woman. Timeless and I will wear Mania both daytime and for partytime. Not a loud scent but it encircling me with magic wiffs. Great! A keeper!!

limonka

I wasn't sure about this smell, but after one hour of wearing I fell in love with them... The beginning of perfumes is more citrusy and after few hours you can smell soft woody fragrances... I absolutely love them, feel so sexy, so elegant and unusual.

Synryo

I feel so sexy wearing this. But in a refined, elegant, and relaxed sort of way rather than a 'clubbing and skimpy dress' way. The citrus and pink pepper are heavily present from the word go, but its got a creaminess to it that prevents it from being harsh, especially as it really settles into the skin. It's light and comforting but at the same time has a somewhat mysterious edge that keeps me coming back to my wrist for more. Has that disctinct 'Armani' smell that I love so much.
I get compliments on this all the time

Edit: Projection is perfect. Doesn't fill a room, but potent enough for people nearby to smell it for the first few hours. Settles in closer to the skin after that, but retains its character. The drydown is very natural and lovely. 'Like skin, but better' as I think someone said. It's been about 9 hours and I can still smell traces of it on me. Overall, very happy with this perfume.

thazinha30

Im enjoying this perfume so far. Got it as a sample and it smells very good. Havent had it for long on my skin so cant judge longevity just yer but it has good sillage and on me, this smells vanilla floral, almost gourmand like a vanilla... (or is it caramel) cake or something. So far I cant smell any citrus at all. Will update!!!
I have to mention though that to me this is a fall/winter scent. Its pretty intense!!!

nadine23

Oh my god, i love love this perfume. I saw this perfume 1 month ago with a discount of 70%, so 24 euro instead of 80 and i thought i will give it a try because it's armani. I couldn't test it because they didn't have a tester. So i blind bought it and since then i have been using it everyday and i receive so many compliments, each time. It has become my signature scent. i went back to ICI paris XL and bought 2 more bottles. On me it smells like vanilla blend with cream en citrus. It doesn't sound exciting but it works very well with my body chemistry. I have like 40 bottles of perfumes and i can't use the same perfume 2 or 3 days on a row but i don't have that problem with armani mania. Go and test it, it's amazing.

Meis

I can't describe this perfume.

It was my signature scent for a long time because it was just always fitting of my mood.

It ebbs and flows, it's spicy then sulty then zesty then musky.

Q: "What are you wearing?"
A: "Mania"
Q: "Ahh, ok" *wink*

Men seem to really notice this scent. I think it has a slightly masculine edge, maybe that's why.

I miss this perfume... I'm going to have to repurchase it!

feeg

For me Mania is a perfume that suits for any occasion. You can wear it during the day, to office, you can wear it when you are out in a bar, or have a nice dinner on summer vacation. Each time you will be a lady with perfectly elegant fragrance. However there are only few perfumes with something unique you fall in love with. Mania just wasn't that case. It smelled really nice on my skin but still when I had gucci eau de parfum II, dior delice, on me I felt like I have something special not everyone would dare to use and that's what I look for - something that people around me would love to sniff of more when it gets into their noses.

Radchick

This scent changes a lot during wear. It starts off herbal and citrusy. At first, its pleasant but nothing special. The mid notes bring on florals and spices. I smell the peony quite a bit, and pink pepper. The citrus note is faint but persistent. It starts to smell better and better as it develops. Finally, the base is soft, spicy, and powdery. Love the base. I don't think this is as good as the namesake with the black cap, but still possibly full bottle worthy.

julia_see

I find Mania very boring; it's not spectacular or new to me.

daria.takova

I got this scent as a present for my late november birthday. It felt so wright in place. Warm, cosy, elegant, young, alluring! definately Fall scent. You remember it long after you finish the bottle. Lovely!

Fmcandy

I must admit that I don t like Armani, I don't see myself with a bottle of that brand. But this scent is a great surprise!!! So nice, creamy, sensual, elegant. Maybe I ll include Armani n my little collection. And now that I'm reading about it , Dominique Ropion, he s a genius!

Scentsation@wgp

Ximss4, YES my daughter is 23 this has been her signature sent since she was 18 yrs old. She always gets told (by boys) that she is the best smelling girl they know. It just smells the way a girl should smell.

Ximss4

Would it be appropriate for me to wear it if I am 18 years old?

tclub22

I have been using this perfume since 2006, still can't leave it, love this smell so much!!

lat

This is such a stunning scent. Very creamy, but vibrant with pepper, silky smooth, cashmere soft and lasts for ages.
The only thing that makes me not go out and buy a bottle is the fact that it really makes you think of a cream-coloured super soft, top quality cashmere sweater. The lady (yes, preferably a Lady with a real title) who wears this fragrance has cool-toned brown hair, luscious, long and shiny, cat-like eyes, milky skin and pouty, rosy lips. She is flawless, yet casual and truth be told, no matter how much I'd like to strive to be that person, I will never be her.
I adore this scent and will spray on my wrist whenever I get a chance, but it doesn't reflect my personality, so I won't be going for a big bottle, regardless of how amazing it is.

Annica

It smells like a mix of Armani Lei and Body Shop Love Etc. A pleasant fragrance that sits very long on the skin. If you like sweet and woody scents you can´t go wrong with Mania. I really like it but it doesn´t feel like it may become a signature scent. Simply a very nice everyday fragrance.

Pez_Enelrio

lovely, citrus and woody notes are mixing perfectly in this one. you have to apply only a little, its lasting and thats how its creamyness can come out. it can turn bothering if you apply too much

Grottola

Cute little powdery vanilla floral. Nothing groundbreaking but I'd love to smell this on a woman.

Sveltekittie

I really love the blend of gentle woodiness and creamy vanilla in this, its very pretty and well done. My olfactory gland appreciates the citric notes, whereas my poor sinuses do not. The pervasive orange & mandarin notes made me feel as if my head was being pierced with a sharp splinter of orangewood. And the intensive (and low grade) musk note seals the deal w/ my allergies.

I was SO disappointed to fall in love with this, only to realize I will never be able to wear it. Another unrequited love scent for me. If anybody knows of something that is similar in some respects, where the citric element is softer, less piercing, (lacking the mandarin) & possibly where the musk plays more of a supporting role or is completely non-existent, that would be great. I'm open to suggestions.

*I'm wondering if layering Hugo Boss Orange with a sweet woody frag. ala Hanae Mori edp. would be a good substitite. There's only one way to find out!

marabel

This is My scent! I can describe it like unusual, mistic, warm, spice, challenging, sharp, adorable...

adrianocgo

THE BEST FEMALE SCENT EVER!!!!!!!!! I love it!!!!!! Ladies, use without caution!

fdmc

I love all perfumes Armani.
Armani Mania has a wonderful projection and longevity.
Recommend this perfume to all women young, beautiful and smiling.

blueviolet

woody and a bit creamy. At one point its almost unusex. Could be the sweet vanilla mixed with woody nites. Very quite and soft. Nice but wished it lasted longer. Tips to you who likes ut, spray on clothes as it lasts longer.
It is a grown up scent. Elegant and warm. A wintet scent.

karencherries

Creamy, warm and slightly powdery. It's mature and sophisticated, but not stuffy. Elegant while still light enough to be worn casual. It makes me feel pretty, classy and super feminine.

Repogirl

I love this when first sprayed but as others have pointed out, there is something in the dry down that bugs me. I cant quite pinpoint what it is. It's not so drastic that I wouldn't use it, but I wish it smelled more like the top notes throughout the dry down. Due to whatever it is in the dry down, I rate this as mediocre. If they removed what ever that is, this would be a favorite for me.

Addict2Perfume

Giorgio Armani Armani Mania smells exactly like Victoria Secret's Dream Angels Heavenly. Straight away I can smell the fresh cedar and pink pepper as it dries down to peony and vanilla musk with just a touch mandarin. It’s a lovely fragrance, but don’t despair that Armani is no longer making this because you can get the exact same scent just from Victoria Secret!

éciboszi

a cool autumn day warms my heart.

derkargy

As I mentioned in a previous review,I was afraid this masterpiece would be discontinued. Finally,I bought it yesterday from a local department store and it still allures me..This seductive, elegant musky essence covered me for many winter days and it's still here. That's my new signature scent,a substitute to charming but more ladylike Allure by Chanel!

n.hidayah

Now i learnt to know that a great perfume isnt necessarily suitable for us.
I love this perfume so much, the bottle looks simple yet elegant, the smell also is very sexy. However im so dissapointed that everytime i use it, my head will be aching. I dont know why. I have no problems with most perfumes i have in my collection, although i dont like them as much as i like mania. I guess its because of the pink pepper. Maybe.

derkargy

It's one of the best fragrances I've ever worn but....unfortunately it'll soon be disappeared from the shelves.

SAUSAN

I find this perfume to be so amazing. I brought this perfume in 2009 and I still have because i treasure it so much i only uses it for special occassions and church i will recommend this for every woman that want to feel like a real women and a top executive, hats up Georgio ammani susan johnson trinidad and tobago

piapedersen

To me, this is elegance captured in one single perfume. Other scents may be playful, heavy, romantic, sporty, overwhelming or sexy... This is Elegant with a capital E. I feel so ladylike when I wear this and I'm very pickish about how I dress. Besides the wonderful combination of notes and the discrete feminine power of this little wonder I adore the flacon as well. Beautiful in its simplicity and a nice feeling to the hand when you hold it.... and I love the name...

xabaras

I put it on and could not detect any particular note. It is an undefined mix of flowers and creamy notes. It should come out quite balanced and harmonic, but there is something in the background which disturbs me: a hint of acidity, like when you accidentally squeeze too much lemon juice in your tea and it spoils the whole lot. Puzzling, I really liked it the first time I used it. I need to try it again on a non rainy day.

melanie

At first I was thrilled...calming, warm and rich, woody musky, but something bothered me in dry-down, one persistent note. I still think that this is a great fragrance, more for winter. Creamy and wonderful on the skin, seductive, subtle, ultrafeminine. Has already become a classic.

ninavillager

I wanted to like this ex wears the male version which is divine. unfortunately, this gives me major headaches. I just can't wear this.

ol' smeller

Love the base notes....lasts a long time....can smell it the next day. Very fresh, sweet, woody/oriental. One of my faves.

darrshanjvoraa

this stuff is really a safe buy, and its a nice soft creamy scent which has a good longevity without being harsh and rude on wearing, a little floral also with sweet tones in the dry down.

Ouch!

This perfume smells like creamy oranges and vanilla. I was slightly obsessed with getting this for a while but now I have it...it's..not AMAZING. It's a nice safe scent, it's quite playful. Slighty spicy, creamy, smooth...and pale orange scented, as the colour of the liquid would suggest.

This would be a good first date perfume I think as it's soft and innofensive. It lasts really really well but doesn't smack you in the face with it's strength.

I think for the price that it goes for...it should be something more exciting, but..I like the understated perfumes sometimes and this definitley falls into that category.

CamilaLC

I used to like it, but I grew so tired of its strong flowery notes that I had to give away my half full bottle to my sister, not before I made her promise to never wear it around me!

n.hidayah

One of the reviews i read said that this smells like 5th avenue after five. Yeah it is soo true, i have an unfinished bottle of after 5 which i bought in 2006, i cant stand its smell as its too woody. Now i just bought this one, in the beginning i didnt notice the same smell both have but now i admit what the review said. The only difference is tht its less woody and more creamy.

ralucucky

It is a nice scent, but on me it has something unfeminine, manly. I like it, but I wouldn't buy it because of this reason.

Contessa01

A warm cosy fragrance. I have to say that I sprayed this at the shop and wondered if I had sprayed burberry brit, they smell very similar to me. As I already have Brit I probably dont need this.
Edit: I have tried this again and have reassessed my opinion on it, I do quite like it and find myself wearing this quite a bit.

galactica22

A simply BEAUTIFUL woody scent and everytime I smell it I fall back in love with it as for the first time... Very good lasting power, I always got compliments while wearing it, good intensity, just hope Armani will not discontinue this one too like they did with the wonderful Sensi(I`m still very much upset by that decision...) It`s a must-have for the ones who enjoy woody scents.

username101

Very elegant and luxurious. Like the person below said, What struck my mind when I first smell this was a very soft and luxurious fabric, like cashmere.

DresdenDoll

I had heard such wonderful things about this fragrance so when I spotted it in Schiphol airport I had to try it. And I am so glad I did.
This is just such a lovely scent. It goes on like cashmere, with fresh oranges and magnolia resting of a base of woods, amber and musk that is completely haunting and beautiful. So feminine and gentile. This is the kind of scent a man remembers.

Anemoon

This was my favourite perfume for years. Soft, creamy, spicy and very feminin. I always got many compliments. After 4 years of experimenting with other perfumes, I recently bought a new bottle and am very happy with it. I smell like me again ;-)

candymarie

First of all, BEWARE!

There are 2 perfumes by almost the same name: MANIA and ARMANI MANIA, both by Armani. Talk about confusing! The earlier release (now discontinued) is apparently a rich vanilla spicy oriental (appears silver in the photo).

The second is the one on THIS PAGE (light orange color) which is COMPLETELY different: basically there is Nothing to the orange one - it projects about 1 inch from my skin, so unless I walk around with my nose to my wrist I will not know I'm wearing perfume. AND there's nothing there but some generic and watery FLORAL components. (I wouldnt even call them notes - it smells like an incomplete creation, like the perfumers were just getting started and someone stole the recipe, mistakenly believing it was complete.)

Imagine my disappointment when I was expecting a rich and spicy oriental ..... Luckily I only sprang for a mini. But I'm still ticked off.

mademoiselle-c

Toned down, less cold version of 5th Ave. Dece. Smells like clean. Does not last on my skin!

SISINKA888

GREAT!:-)

This one is kind of odd for me. It's smooth, inoffensive, and powdery. At the same time, the bay leaf is prominent and the fragrance smells quite masculine. It's sort of like baby-powder mixed with men's cologne on me. Not really my cup of tea, but I can see why others would enjoy it's smoothness. Not sure the name "Mania" really suits this fragrance...it's got a more subdued feel to it.

Esse perfume parece com hot couture Givenchy, só que bem mais suave.Não achei parecido com couture Moschino.Em mim não fixa muito.Bom perfume.

This smell remind me same Armani Sensi but good one for me too. Smell soft ,clean and sweet.

İ purchased this perfume 2 weeks ago and i had really great complements about it. İt has a very distinct sillage. A warm and sexy scent Very feminin, creamy vanilla with a bit of freshness in it ,which comes from the orange. İt stays long time in a remarqable way. Sorry for the bottle it is really simple and looks cheap. The perfume can be a little more convenient for automn and Winter for those who love fresh fruity scents in summertime.

kathrinaaguir

Yummy ! I really love this perfume and my boyfriend too.
I have tried this one on summer time but the smell is quite different. When rains the scent can be detected miles away lol. Even when I take shower I can stop smelling it on my skin.
Sweet, femenine, clean and long lasting scent. I highly recommend it. Trust me, guys can not be wrong !

eilismaireg

This is one of these perfumes which has remained firmly under my radar since launch. I think the marketing campaign went awry, with a mad name but a very un-mad bottle and a ladylike and discreet scent inside which could take the Cashmere Mist name from Donna Karan because this is what suits it! Very nice but I can see it being phased out as it is so unnoticable on the shelves.

ren

I used Armani mania a couple of years ago...it's really alluring!! It lasts forever u still can smell it under the shower the next day..I will buy it again!!!!

chloeee

It just smells like soda pop...
What's the matter????????
Is it my olfactory problem? :/
I cannot smell anything vanillic, creamy, or millky...
So sad...

gigiletta

lovely, modern and a bit sharp, peppery orange and vanilla stays at skin very sexy way.i think can be wear at summer, base notes are airy and fresh.

twillocks

love this very clean fresh. At first wasn't sure but as soon as it settled I LOVED IT!!!!!! have to get a bottle!!!!!!!

DarkViolet

Armani Mania smells like the sun to me: bright, warm and spreading its golden rays all around.
Each time I spray this juice on my wrist I feel like I'm kissed by sunbeams during a warm spring day, immersed in a Mediterranean landscape with orange trees all around me.

Top notes are quite sharp and strong, but the Nose behind this fragrance has created a wonderful blend of soft flowers that seem to capture the citruses and join harmoniously them. Somehow the heart reminds me a lot of CK's Contradiction, though Armani Mania is absolutely brighter, warmer...better.
Drydown is one of the best musk-amber accord I've ever smelled, in which vanilla note feels smooth and soft like a caress through a silk dress. The longevity is pretty good, too.

If I should pick some scents that are good for any occasions, this one would surely be on my top five: Mania is comforting but still very noticeable, elegant without being snob at all, and most of all here's a fragrance that could please you in cold weather as in warm summer days.
This is a Beauty to me, a woman should be adored just because she's choosen to wear this...just perfect.
But I feel like it will be soon discontinued (only big sizes or few bottles left on fragrance stores shelves I've seen lately).

I LOVE this scent. Smells very clean yet creamy with a little bit of spice to warm it up. I couldn't stop smelling my wrist all day! Delicious :)

Blissful80

My boyfriend bought this for me. He really likes it. I really like it too! Its great for fall and daytime. It goes really good with my body chemisrty long lasting too. Creamy, spicy, warm, powder like musky scent one of my new favorites!

Puma

I got it one year ago as a birthday present. It took me one year to define it.

I love it! - when I smell it, I feel 'It's what I need!!!'.

Mania is very luxurious and sophisticated fragrance. Vanilla and woods make it warm, sweet and powdery.
I can't feel much citruses. They disappear after few minutes to expose beautiful floral - woody notes.

Its warmth and sweetness make me feel like in heaven. In cold, winter day it's a pure bliss!

I think Mania can be my signature scent!

sky76sky

One for the sophisticated musk-lovers.

Mania is very likable, very wearable, very no-nonsense, no extra frills - like the perfume equivalent of the "no-make-up make-up look"...it's there, but it's so cunningly deployed that it morphs into your very self...a classicly classy you, at that.

The overall impression is of a mid-weight, creamy-powder soft, clean, warm, womanly, & huggable scent. It is very present and yet unobtrusive - I can't imagine anyone finding this scent offensive.

It starts with a very tame peppery herbal spiciness blended with a warm bitter-green. The bay is delightful - not too loud, but with that distinct almost savoury-menthol-mintiness. The florals are smooth & satiny, the amber masquerading as a soft, rounded vanilla.

In fact, Mania is so tame & well-blended that you may as well imagine you are smelling all these notes as though through a veil of beautiful, pale cream musky fuzziness - freshly laundered silks & baby-soft woolens complete with fabric static. Really it is all about supporting the starlet musk.

It reminds me of many fragrances where the focus is on the smooth, lactonic musk - Lei is close yet spiceless, Plus Plus has a touch of this but not nearly as classy. Mania lasts well & hovers politely above the skin.

For me it is not an obsessive addiction (no head-over-heels mania here) just a beautifully done, terribly nice & polite nuzzler.

Floral Woody Musk ?????

It must be spicy orange perfume, but also active, lovely and elegent.

RRCOOLMAMA 2: It's supposed be white, but any color goes because Mania as a scent is very alluring, seductive, even intoxicating. Even the ill-fitting name doesn't change my opinion.

It's one of the most powerful of the common fragrances, so spray carefully!

When it's f-f-f-freeezing and yet sunny outside, the first thing that comes into my mind is wearing Mania.

The simple bottle crowns the joy. Ah, bliss!

kugkng

It's very complex scent...creamy spice velvet cashmere musky and woody.Represent me a chic business woman very smart and modern^^it's quite overwhelming scent so you should'n spray too much just one or two spray enough for the whole day. This scent go well with cold weather especially in winter time..

moonwalker

My most loved perfume... I love the spicy, menthol opening then the vanilla blends in and at the end they create very creamy vanilla scent with the hint of spices. It´s very natural scent, too. I know that the name maybe isn´t very fitting but I think the scent is so good I can forgive this mismatch.
For me this is the perfume for every occasion I can imagine going to the date as well as business meeting wearing this. On the other hand it´s very flirty scent... in some of the previous reviews the word "coquetish" has been used and I second this opinion.
Last but not least I also love this scent because the man I was madly in love with :) always come closer to me when we were talking when I was weraing this perfume... He really didn´t care too much for keeping a personal space when I was wearing this perfume :)
If I ever had to choose only one perfume, I could wear, this one would be my choice.

EDIT: OK, I may be biased but I really don't get why this fragrance doesn't get more recogniction amongst all new fragrance. It is such a beautiful scent. If nothing else the lasting power and sillage is great (which is not such a common thing in these day of trying not to offend anybody with your fragrance)

samsara1977

This one smells like a pharmacists store. Where's the original one, first this was brought on the market in the bottle where the Armani Mania for men is in now.
I sampled this first version an that was way better to me, spicy and aromatic. I wonder why it disappeared silently and you don't find it anymore (like Black code for men was originally Black for men). Armani tent to favoure the big crowd...

missk

Armani Mania is a pretty yet fairly subdued fragrance. I'll agree with JADE.PALOMA on this one, this fragrance is the opposite of mania, I find this scent to be rather soothing and peaceful.

Casting aside the unbefitting name, Armani Mania has some real likable qualities. The scent is very natural and I find it to compliment the skin beautifully. It has an almost creamy-like feel which is somewhat milky and soft.

All the notes are quite lush, however neither one dominates over the other. I don't get much of the citrus/fruity notes nor the herbs or spices. The pink pepper lingers delicately in the background providing only a subtle hint of spiciness.

The floral notes are gorgeous and feminine, they are what makes this fragrance so desirable and warm. The woodsy notes are nicely composed, with the vanilla maintaining the creaminess until the scent disappears.

Overall, the scent strength and sillage are very good and the fragrance itself quite inoffensive. Armani Mania would be very versatile, making it easily adaptable to changes in weather and different occasions. I recommend.

mmizy

it is an easy wear for any occasion and thats why I think that I wouldn't purchase it because it doesnt have that wow factor to me. Its nice and pleasant smells like a orange creamsicle. I don't get too much pepper which is good. To me its more of a creamy scent than a powdery one. But who knows tastes change over time. I know that mine does. The bottle could have been better.

Puma

To my mind it is created for self-confident women who have a high self-esteem.

tra

Too strong .May be the vanilla? It just did not fit me, when I was wearing it my friends did not like it..........

sabsoob

this perfume was nice a few years back. but now it's out of fashion!
better discontinue it and bring back the old Mania or/and Emporio Armani Night!

Adriana_87

I love armani perfumes and this one is no exeption.I think its simple and pretty. Not too sweet,or fruity but just good. Not so easy to describe what it smells.Very easy to wear.

Fragrance

Oh ... Tested this today.... Toooo sweet :(
I think there's too much of vanilla in there... and it made me sick ....
at the first spray it's kind of soft and clean, but after few minutes it turned to a to a fragrance i couldn't tolerate.... won't buy it...

cottoncandice

This scent is like a big, long, thick, well made cashmere wrap in a pretty peachy caramel colour, great for those gloomy winter days

It's warm, comforting, optimistic and slightly peppery but all for the good cause. Really beats my winter blues with style and feels so very cosy in it. There are lots of spices and vanilla in it along with some spunky powdery notes cheerfully swirling in between. This is a woodsy gourmandy scent to me. I have to really focus to detect the floral notes, not sure if they do exist or just my imaginaton.

The name Mania doesn't do much for me but the bottle is pure Armani, minimalism at its best.

sevanya

I fell in love with this perfume when I smelled it first time. It's so amazing. And I bought it immediately. My husband didn't like it first, said that it smelled from the bottle like plastic haha But for me it smells like gold :-) I have been using it for 2 months and my husband asked what an amazing fragrance this is. he found it very exciting and was surprised to know this is Armani Mania :-)

vodkacranberry

It was one of my 'unusual' purchases, something about it attracted me to the scent...glad i bought it because the men love it, always get comments from them when I first meet up & they get the first whiff catching their nose & they have to comment 10/10 times...sexy it is...

cmmarti3

This is a wonderful fragrance! I first smelled it on a co-worker. It's somewhat strong but I think it's still fine for day. The drydown is great. I also think it's fine for winter or summer. I love it!

perfumes_addict

mania is one of my favourite fragrances because it grows along with me. it's very bright and strong in the beginning, but it warms down in time, but without losing its sharpness and extraordinary staying power. the bottle is not so original as i would've expected but it's probably better to keep it simple with such a complex perfume.

pure

It smells beautifully on the skin (surprisingly, the bottle smells soapy and heavy) and after some time leaves creamy note that lasts over 24 hours (unbelievable!). It makes me feel more confident. However, I don't think it's sexy or romantic...it's rather something to give you wings when you need them for Very Important Occasions.

MahinaVanila

Armani Mania is made for those who like the softness and sweetness of a modest but still elegant perfume. The beginning is a bit tart and I feel some green notes mixed with a warm kind of freshness. After some minutes the scent get prettier and prettier once the heart notes open up, like breaking the hard shell and finding the deep, warm, silky center. This fragrance has a light clean, creamy and musky character, which I really like. Just plain, a very sexy everyday scent. But oh the bottle is not the best one in my opinion, just too bold for such a fragile scent. Sadly discontinued.

jaz2902

Mania is lush and sexy, powdery feminine, just-stepped-out-of-shower-in-a-silk-robe type glamourous. It's a keeper. My favourite Armani fragrance.

ineedavktion

OMG! I have been looking and looking for the right 'signature' fragrance and this one was sitting way back on the shelf at Macys. I can't even explain the differnt burst of scents at first, kind of peppery and maybe a little masculine. Well maybe that isn't the right description, but it dries down to a warm, woodsy, yummy, I can't get enough of it scent. My husband also loved it, but said he could smell vanilla. I didn't believe him until I looked at the notes. I am really not a vanilla fan, but it works and the whole combination of this perfume is to die for! Other reviews stated the staying power wasn't that great, but on me the staying power was easily 8-10 hours. I smelled it the whole day!

susieqrj

I really like this fragrance, even bought Mania Summer (the lighter version).
At first you can feel the fruity notes, but the drydown is creamy powdery woods.
It is very confortable and smells nice.
I can´t say that it is too strong, even if I bath myself on it.

dizzi

Creamy vanilla and orange is equal to my new love!

Sedef

soft and sweet! love it soo
