@MrMrOverHere try "DerDuft-Privilige" has similar scent but more depth

MrMrOverHere

Great concept and presentation. I like the color of the liquid, so I'm bummed that I'm underwhelmed by this. On me, it's just barely there. Too bad, I really wanted to like it

Bnknowsfrag

So i think this is the best affordable summer niche fragrances and here is why. I think that it is totally inoffensive and is perfect for receiving compliments for the summer. I love the freshness of this fragrance and it complete matches name because of the mossy, aromatic, fresh notes. I think that £138 for 100ml is a reasonable price and I recommend this for your first summer niche fragrance.

Smell 8.6/10
Sillage 7.4/10
Longevity 7/10
How much I would pay for it. 100ml: £138

Cabin Fever

Ok… I understand why some people say it’s overhyped. But to me, it’s not. If you want something fresh, light, something you can wear in the summer, but you are not in your twenties and/or don’t gravitate towards the normal citrus ambroxan designer summer choices, this is a good one. It’s not groundbreaking, but what it does, it does very very well. Like a Light Blue for a slightly older, more sophisticated man. Not playing volleyball at the beach, but having lunch at an outdoor beachside cafe on the Northern California coast, before a drive home on highway 1 in a convertible MG. Fresh, earthy, mossy, citrus in an atypical profile… it’s the sun going down on a rocky beach, with a breeze bringing up smells of the sea and its vegetation. I normally hate aquatics, as well as fragrances that read as what I think of as “men’s cologne.” This does both in a way I can accept. For $109 at discounters, it’s worth it. For $190, probably not.

smells like the name, pacific rock moss. more fresh than earthy in a good way.
doesn’t last long however
projection suddenly declines after two to three hours on my skin

This fragrance is so generic that it smells like a 30 dollar designer freshie. Maybe it wouldn't be as bad if it were sold for a half-reasonable price. Nothing stands out about this fragrance, and I would say it is worthy of being a toilet air freshener but it doesn't even have the longevity for that. Overall the scent itself is just okay.

iheartchloe3

i hate generic aquatic/citrus/summer fragrances but this smells quality and unique and lovely to my nose this isn't your usual freshie

BigDonOJ

Had this one for just under 2 months now and it really is a beautiful summer time scent. The moss, geranium and cedar blend perfectly with the sage and citruses to create a unique, fresh, smooth and somewhat creamy scent. Living in Australia this is beautiful during the summer time (But can be worn all year round), it just falls short for me (Like most freshies) in its longevity lasting about 3-5 hours off my skin, so I go a bit heavier on the sprays. I am looking forward to wearing it more and more later this year.

Laxos

@rainmakers: the note you are looking for that smells sweet is geranium. For example that note makes Layton sweeter and that gives the opening apple note a strong backbone (so the apple can last longer)

rainmakers

Citrusy, however I can't put my finger on the note that smells like something sweet, something like a cupcake or the italian lemon and olive oil cake. Can't smell the moss, nothing aquatic/woody about this fragrance. I wanted it to be a bit darker

pennypencil

This isn't going to be for everyone, but after getting a sample from Jovoy, I knew it was for me. It's a juicy, aromatic and oceanic sea-spray fragrance, dialled up to the max with a sweet, warm base.

What I like most about this is how wet and bright Pacific Rock Moss is: the citrus is juicy and transparent like lemonade. The aromatic and marine aspects do certainly bring to (my) mind traditional masculine summer offerings from the 00s, but as a woman, I like subverting or ignoring meaningless gender expectations: perfume has no gender!

That aromatic side is nicely balanced with the salty driftwood base akin to Jo Malone's Wood Sage and Sea Salt, and I love to smell those aspects peeking through, making me think of surf and sea-worn boat wrecks, footprints filling with tide and the sun tanning skin.

This is one of the most uplifting and invigorating perfumes I have. The dry-down has a floral aspect from the geranium (and I smell white florals too) which is pretty and enduring, but mainly sweet, soft, woody citrus. The blue curacao colour of the juice makes me happy too!

Projection and lasting power is very good/ strong for me, if you care about those things. It's one of the more potent perfumes in my collection.

I really wanted to like this one as the note list appears great. However, the result is a very palatable but otherwise basic scent that you could find for a much better price point with the traditional designer houses.

koxayous

I mean it's okay. lemony laundry detergent, very synthetic. reminds me of a smell around carwash stations.
after some time it smells more like a sweet lemon candy...
doesn't last long

A watery fougere that creates its seaside tones without using typical aquatic notes but instead uses Geranium for salt and the zest of briny air and Moss for the cool, shadowy, refreshing feel of blue ocean water. The true star though is the citrus, a happy, genuinely uplifting citrus that gives this so much energy in contrast to its calming notes and makes it an easy reach for summer. It’s linear and pretty unisex although I think it leans a tad masculine. It’s a fresh almost cologne type of fragrance that doesn’t last a super long time (4-5 hours) but is pretty much universal in appeal while it does. This is great for a day when you feel laggy and need a little zestiness to help you get started.

Sammi4443

This fragrance is one of the best when it comes to niche summer fragrances. Not only is it very unique and will certainly stand out but it's also very appealing and inoffensive. It's super easy to wear as long as it's a warm summer day and performs well but not exceptionally. Its very high quality easily smelling like fragrances double its price in terms of just the quality of the scent. I think for what you're getting it's a very solid value especially when compared to pdm greenly which is over double the price. in terms of scent it opens with a hit of lemon that is followed by some mossy aquatic tones. it smells like a rocky lakeshore. definitely would reccomend.

asoolsakania

greate fragerance!!!

TyDay

Ohhhh…this one is nice, interesting and different. Usually I really dislike sage, but here, it’s tolerable despite being very prominent, as in the second strongest note in the fragrance, with of course, lemon being first. It’s aromatic, mineral-y, aquatic and is unisex but leans more masculine. The lemon doesn’t go into that “cleaning supply” territory, and overall is a unique fragrance. Last long too!

Denimtuxedo

The dry down smells extremely close to the og nautica in the sail bottle. It certainly isn't linear for a freshie either. Nice transition from top to dry down, but that dry down has serious 90 vibes. Love it.

astralmonad870

The marine note in this is perfect. It’s clean, fresh, and uplifting unlike the salty or greasy funky perfumes like Womanity or Megamare. I don't get any of the moss and only a hint of lemon (on paper the citrus is barely detectible). This is an ideal unisex fragrance for summer and yes I own a 100 ml of this with 2 10 ml travel sizes. This is my first truly aquatic perfume and it’s been game-changing for me! I also normally don't buy artificially coloured perfumes but the smell in this is makes me disregard it.

And also why are people saying this has bad performance? The smell is similar to Wood Sage and Sea Salt but projection is strong and longevity is over 7 hours, with the smell still detectible after that time on skin

07stewartD

This is getting far too much hate for something I consider the perfect summer scent. I wouldn’t say it’s mossy it’s more herbal and clean. It smells like swimming pools and swimming costumes. It’s fresh, invigorating, uplifting. I really love this scent.

Now the cons. The performance. This fragrance is expensive and I get it’s a summer scent and it’s harder to make freshies last, but this is pitiful from G&B. It becomes a skin scent very quickly and it’s a real shame because the scent is so good. I’ve got it down as one of my top 5 but the performance is so frustrating. It’s hard for me to recommend something at such a price point that will let you down, I personally enjoyed the scent too much to pass up on. Try it for yourself and you can make the call.

Scent: 9.5/10
Projection: 4.5/10
Longevity: 3/10
Versatility: 4.5/10
Price: 4/10

Overall: 5.1/10 (it deserves better. Shame)

FreshNBussin

Ehhhh, I don't know. At first I liked it a lot but after a few more wearings, it kind of gave me the old lady vibes. It's a pleasant fresh scent but I don't see myself wearing it anymore. Luckily I only got a 5ml decant and I'm sure I'll have it lying around for a very long time. Also, the performance is quite disappointing so there's that.

fraghead97

not really mossy or green, but it's a pleasant enough fresh citrus herbal scent. nothing about this makes me feel inspired, at ease, joyful etc like I want with my citrus perfumes. I want something invigorating and zesty or extremely tranquil and calming and this did neither honestly.

alphairone

This smells like something a thirtysomething gainfully employed gay man would wear during his summer stay in Provincetown. I can pick up his aromatic inoffensiveness while he peruses the art galleries that feature local landscape and still life paintings. He wears an Apple Watch, lots of pastel colors, Nantucket reds, and boat shoes, almost as if he had meant to show up in Chatham and realized, "but wait, I'm gay." After a night of vodkas and cranberry, he slinks down to the Dick Dock.

Pacific Rock Moss is a detour from all that is what brings me joy in perfume. What lies ahead is something pleasant, yet tepid. An "uncanny valley" lemon begins it, then there's an indistinct bridge of ozonic, aromatic something or other, vaguely clean and aquatic, not really herbal, not really floral, and most definitely NOT really mossy, though there is Evernyl. The real crime though is that premium price for this "niche", since something so ennui-inducing can be had for a fraction the price in Marshalls.

WildCalifornia

I wasn't looking for this. It just happen to be next to something I wanted to test. And wow am I glad I decided to smell this .
To start I get more citrus notes than Italian lemon . I get some grapefruit or pomelo with this . Good citrus but not over powering . It then dries dow to that moss bit which gives off that bright forest meets beach scent . This smells fantastic. The top notes carry throughout the life of the fragrance and the wood is just enough to carry everything . I believe it's blind buy safe but it's a fragrance you need to test to really understand.
It's not the strongest fragrance but it sticks to the skin for awhile.

landshark321

Pacific Rock Moss is the once-extremely-hyped release from Goldfield & Banks as part of its initial 2016 group, a fresh, green, mossy, woody blend that’s well-rounded and modern, with listed notes of Australian coastal moss, lemon, sage, geranium, and cedar. It’s easygoing but seems carefully composed and rather smoothed out, a unisex freshie that, while conjuring vacation / beach situations, nonetheless seems like it could work for most situations. Whereas Blue Cypress reminds of some freshies of the 90s and 2000s, vaguely, Pacific Rock Moss feels more deliberately modern and it’s quite nicely done.

Pacific Rock Moss, like most of the main collection, is priced at $190 for 100ml and sold at US boutiques like Perfumology. It does seem like some sources also sell the 50ml for $130 and 10ml for $36, and it’s very nice to have such a diversity of options nowadays.

SimpleButch

On my skin, it starts as a ripe sweet lemon with an undertaste of inoffensive men's cologne. However, it transforms into a real marine beauty. It evokes an image of a naturally fresh cool wind, wet with salty drops of water caressing your face, while you stand on the seaside, with juicy lemons in a wooden bowl in your hands. The fragrance is undeniably strictly seasonal; I cannot imagine wearing it any time of the year other than the summer and the late spring. The smell is surprisingly non-chemical, for a marine-citrus fragrance especially; however, the longevity leaves much to be desired. The projection is fine through, at least on my skin.

Nova789K!

Very uplifting, fresh, ozonic, mossy, citrus composition. Enjoy it and great job here. Like it!

lunarhero

Good scent, not offensive. However i am getting an almost exclusively dry and ozonic smell, reminding me of CK2 but less harsh. I’m not getting any fruit some folks are talking about. 6.5 or 7/10. I do NOT like beast mode projection so this is good for me

mingmingthericefarmer

Nice and pleasesant, longevity and projection is meh

Maya lilac

Pacific Rock Moss smells like the seaside or ocean air. Very refreshing, bright, uplifting and relaxing. I really love the natural lemony opening, but on the sweet side of lemon. It’s not the astringent or cleaning product kind of lemon smell.

And that beautiful turquoise coloured juice is taking me back to summer days spent on a beach. Living slow life on a coast. Aquatic, marine, aromatic, fresh, minimal summer scent!

The structure is so simple: lemon, clary sage, cedar, geranium and moss and it does smells like you would imagine it would smell seeing these notes. It’s the perfect fragrance for hot and humid days, in the high 30C degrees.

With all that being said, Pacific Rock Moss performs very lightly. It’s more an intimate scent with minimal projection!

I think this belongs to Coast to Coast line that’s inspired by Australian natural landscapes! I struggle to understand how Pacific Rock Moss reflects that idea. It’s doesn’t have anything particularly unique in the composition and smells very similar to the Aqua di Gio’s, Light Blue’s, Calvin Klein’s, Bvlgari Aqva’s…Basically, most summer freshies from most designer brands!

A bit overpriced for the modest performance.

OzzyEyes

It's nice for a man, nothing ground breaking, I prefer Blue Cyprus.

DuneN

It is very aromatic but not unique. It reminds me of Anna Sui Fantasia Mermaid

AstralMatrix

Look, I'm gonna be straight with you: ignore the reviews and the notes, and do yourself a solid and buy a sample if you want something different. Insta-like for me amongst a random, blind-buy sample pack I got.

The opening is softly sweet and reminding me of something vanillic. It starts developing into a slightly flowery, citrusy, beachy scent. It's so nuanced. Ignore critical reviews and give it a chance, because this is a visual scent.

You're at the beach with this fragrance. Citrus is very gentle and subdued. It has a lotion-ey vibe in a good sense.

Smells like sun-heated skin and sea breeze, but without the fishy and salty undertones. It immediately triggered a childhood feeling in me and I got teary-eyed. It smells like carefree, happy childhood.

Has a nuance of those glossy magazine scent strips you smelled as a kid, so it has that generic designer perfume familiarity to it but in a good, relatable way. Again, this is nuanced.

You need to experience it. This is a faint scent, but it's not weak. It's one to hit your nose with gentle wafts carried by wind or movement.

I would totally hate it if it smelled strong. Some things are best when delivered in small, gentle amounts, like soft hugs and kisses.

If you want a scent to take you away to your happy place as a child when you went to the beach with your family, a scent to reset you from all the fragrance mess you probably have, get a sample of this.

It smells nostalgic, but at the same time modern, sensual and sexy in a classy way. This is unisex done right. I'm getting me a 100ml bottle RIGHT NOW. This smells so beautiful. OH MY GOD!😩

It's like a beach breeze caressing the nose. It smells like an experience, not like an actual fragrance.

Pacific Rock Moss makes me feel as if I'm in a dream where I'm reliving a forgotten memory I realize there that I forgot. Nothing I've smelled in my 200 bottles of fragrance has caused this in me.

The scent profile itself is not mindblowing (and could be off-putting to some people), but the execution itself is mindblowing to me. I was expecting a meh fragrance, like most samples of the uber-pricey niche fragrances I received were, but this stood out from first spray and kept getting better by the minute.

I usually love loud fragrances, but the gentleness of this scent profile speaks louder to me. This is, again, a visual scent, and you need time to explore it, because it's familiar yet foreign at the same time.

It's like you've never smelled it, yet you realize you smelled it before and just forgot about it due to the card-stacking of your life experiences.

Pacific Rock Moss is olfactive Déjà vu.

EDIT [2/8/2024]: Got me a 100ml bottle on FragranceNet for $127.25 with 37% off, woo-hoo! The last seven 100ml bottles were sold out in the two days I made up my mind on other fragrances to buy along with it. Just checked now and they're back in stock. Best to get the big bottle, because the 50ml one is $92.60.

epicjohn

I think i would wear heeley sel marin over this 100 percent of the time if i wanted something beachy or oceany

vkjansezian

You ever smell something so good you want to bathe in it? This is it.

nszlufik

Bought into the hype. 20% off retail still is a bit steep for this enjoyable albeit unimpressive fragrance. Solid mass appealing scent, but rather generic. This scent is like a warm weather/beach vibes version of Jo Malone's wood sage and sea salt but I prefer the more marine accords of the Jo Malone (which keep things smelling clean like a fresh linen) instead of the mossy fruity sweetness of this Pacific Rock Moss.

sampaterson97

pretty good citrus scent for the summer. Lemon aromatic, a better version of dolce gabbana. Decent performance around 3.5 hours with average projection.

tooksie

This smelled like lemon pledge

Rublerubes

If you live in Aus you kn ow this scent - it's standing looking over the ocean from up on the cliff side and it's those weird spiky little bush/trees that signify you're getting close to the ocean when you pass them by. More specifically, this is the south coast (I grew up closer to the great Ocean road but this scent still feels familiar to me).

Pacific Rock Moss is very bright, citrusy and fresh. It's like a splash of cold water on a hot day, or the first sip of lemonade. It stays just as happy and bright through development, although on my skin takes on a more earthy inscensy vibe.

I love her. My partner loves her. Everybody I come across loves her (my most complimented perfume). It is quite an intimate scent, you gotta go in for a hug to pick up on it fully, but I like that. I find it lasts all day on my skin, and even longer on my clothes.

Dumbplings

Watery / fruity melon notes
Dry peppery wood
A touch of aromatic sage
Sweet oakmoss, not the medicinal type. Possibly the best oakmoss in fragrances i've found it's sweet and almost edible

David_S

While there's an initial representation of marine notes, they are quickly submerged under fruity and lactonic tones. While not actively unpleasant, it is also very much not like or representative of a beach. Longevity is poor (for good or bad), sillage is mediocre, and this is overpriced for its impact. There are other and better unisex scents with this idea out there.

_Addict

A lot of people say they are reminded of the beach with this scent but I personally am not. It's watery, sure, but not in the same way you would expect from something beachy which is usually sandy, saltwater aquatic vibes.

This fragrance to me smells like a healthy, wet rainforest floor, but remove all the earthy-ness. Which is odd to say as other than the plants, the wet rainforest floor is made up entirely of earth, but that's what this smells like to me. To me this is a well balanced green/blue fragrance, mostly green (moss) but it definitely has a "wetness" to it that makes it very blue as well.

The Moss is the star of the show, and to me it makes up about 50% of the scent with the other 4 scents blended in perfectly to heighten the moss smell, giving it a bit of freshness (lemon), a bit of floral (geranium), a bit of herbal (sage) and a bit woody (cedarwood). Out of the remaining four, it's definitely mostly woody, especially on the dry-down. I don't get any soapy-ness to it, however I can see why it could be aligned with cleaning products/aftershave as I feel this is the type of scent they often make and use with "typical" aftershaves, something very fresh and a bit woody, nothing niche or interesting.

This fragrance's main selling point is really just the well executed "moss" note, beyond that it's quite basic but still very enjoyable and hard to dislike. If it weren't for the price this would be a very good starter fragrance that would/could be bought for all men, the kind of fragrance you'd receive as a birthday/christmas gift from a relative that doesn't know you well but wants to do better than just socks. Performance is indeed not great, the woody note lasts a little while but it's a skin scent and it's barely there since it makes up such a small % of the overall mix.

I would say this isn't worth the price. The smell on it's own I enjoy quite a bit, especially since I often prefer sweet, gourmand, booze-y smells and have struggled to find a freshie that I enjoy. But the performance is pretty bad and there isn't anything unique enough about the scent to justify the price. Should be half the price and then it'd be very fair.

Mil99718

To me, this smells of an expensive shampoo at a salon, not of any of the listed notes.

Guardian2471

Smells like soapy moss, the moss isn’t overpowering like it is in Greenley which is nice but it’s just too basic for me and I think that there are better fresh scents out there. The scent is a 7/10 and this is not a fragrance that I would recommend checking out.

luckybeggar

Lovely clean, soapy, fresh smell.

Filip bre

This is something that reminds me of after you take a fresh shower after a long beach day, sun is going behind the horizon you know it's been a beautiful day and you can't wait to wake up with the same feeling of happiness and fulness and then you wake up and again smell this haha I don't know but I just imagine this being perfect scent for summer vacation next to beach you wake up, you sleep next to the beach in a small house with big windows from which you can see the whole beach. This to me smells like a perfect dream next to a calm beach with calm wind blowing just perfectly to cool off the temperature. Yeah I love this smell I would like my bedsheets to smell like this every night before I go to sleep and when I wake up to set a happy mood for the day, and I would love to wear this while relaxing in a hammock :) looking at the blue sky listening the sounds of the sea just blue everywhere my favorite color. Yeah, I gotta add this one to my collection.

smelling.sniffing.swan

Very authentic 'beachy' scent, in a new, unique form.
Light citrus, seawater, sand, linen, with maybe a hint of tea leaves. Not aggressive or 'blue' in any traditionally aquatic style. Really smells like a memory of a family beach day. A little too clean and light for my style, but a beautiful, beautiful scent. Problem is the performance, good luck being able to detect it in a couple of hours, a faint sandy powder but only with your nose right up against your wrist.

VERDICT: Wonderful olfactory memories, and an artful blend. Performance so bad it is borderline offensive at this price point.

Raluko111

After experiencing Aqua di Salle from Profumo Roma, it's like I have fallen down the rabbit hole, chasing marine notes from one perfume to the next. This is how I happened upon PRM. Not only did I find salty water notes, but also a Japanese dessert called kakigori. Kakigori, or "the poor man's ice cream" as I`ve dubbed it, is basically just shaved ice with a touch of sugary syrup, a touch of condensed milk, some fruit syrup, or whatever you have lying around the pantry. To me, PRM smells like a delicious salty, lemony kakigori with just the teeniest, winiest bit of sweet shadow. People give me strange looks on the train because I keep sniffing my wrist, and seriously, if no one was around, I might even be tempted to lick my wrist. Okay, okay, don't want to hear any tide pod jokes, people! If you just smell Tide pods, I sincerely feel sorry for your nose. I love this for a hot summer day and I can't wait to go somewhere warm so I can sprinkle myself with it, head to toe.

Kathie_KW

Unfortunately I bought a FB of this based on reviews. I wanted to open my mind to aquatics. I figured a well crafted one might be the ticket.

Now I am pretty sure I'm never going to be an aquatic lover. To me this smells really simple, very meh - clean and fresh yes absolutely - but boring . Like fabric softener sheets. Really boring. Not worth the price and the longevity is not good. If you blind buy this I doubt you'd hate it - it's totally not offensive - but boring boring boring. But I've found this brand/house to be something I seem to struggle liking. I really don't get the hype.

Funky_Monk1988

Fantastic summer scent, but make sure you try it on your skin before you buy it. Unfortunately it turned sour on my skin :(

smokeandfire

For some reason, none of the Goldfield and Banks really do it for me. I read reviews and get excited and then smell it and I'm underwhelmed. This one is a fresh, lemony, marine scent with a little bit of powder. After a while, the marine dissipates and it just smells like Lemon Pledge. Once again, I don't get the hype.

canyonfables

This is a clean, powdery lemon scent with a dry salt undertone. It functions most beautifully in hot sultry weather - it suggests the donning of fresh linen after a morning swim in ocean water. I live in a subtropical zone on the Pacific coast, and a lot of niche perfumes made in Europe seem unsuitable for the high humidity. But this blooms like a summer flower. I've bought and finished multiple bottles, and I'll buy it again. It's magnificent.

qianqian

Fresh and marine smell, which is perfect for summer. I also found the longevity an issue, but that's a problem with the ingredient and we have to live with short longevity for all marine kind of frags, isn't it? Not the best value to price ratio, at the original price, but it is a good-quality unique frag.

aspirina

A little bit flat and musty marine scent. Soapy, like a laundry product. It is strong, projects a lot, but sadly it is not something I enjoy. I do not recommend it for females, maybe some men can pull it off? I don't know. I don't want my husband smelling like this though...eww. Just pass.

FirstSense

The lemon fresh start is promising but the development of this Australian perfume is a bit disappointing. There is that Givaudan aroma with a musky ambroxan kinda dry down with a tiny bit of moss. It's absolutely not a bad freshie but considering the name I expected an oceanic fresh smell like the colour of the juice suggests. With moss that grows on seashore rocks. I have a 10 ml. bottle from a discovery set that I will use next summer for shure. But the price for a full 100 ml. is a bit out of line concerning the mediocre performance. This is the second G&B I have and the first one (Bohemian Lime) has exactly the same problem for me. Promising fresh opening and a disappointing dry down.

discardedandroid

Quite a safe summer heat fragrance, though I find it somewhat overrated and overpriced. The scent is a bit musty to me. I'm not sure how else to describe it, but it's not particularly refreshing or pleasant smelling. It's just clean and sort of ocean-y. It's just okay.

Josu01

I have the discovery sample collection of Goldfield and Banks, and Pacific Rock Moss is one the samples in it. It is a nice perfume. It smells very clean, very "mainstream", very dumb reach in a hot summer day... but on my skin it disappears in less than an hour.

Whateverwhocares

Pacific Rock Air Freshener. Pacific Rock Laundry Pod. Seriously, smells like a cleaning product. Lemon and sage. Mmm 🧼

The Wolf

When I initially tried this a couple years back I wasn't impressed, but this is one that you need a larger decant to appreciate. I'm not really getting the Wood Sage And Seasalt comparisons because that one has way more sage. This one smells much cleaner and although it's kinda designer (not challenging whatsoever) there's something in the mid and base I really enjoy. Maybe it's the moss and blonde woods but this reminds me of vacations on the beach.

This isn't hardcore marine like Tauer Phtaloblue, DS Durga Rockaway Beach or Sarah Baker Atlante, this actually reminds me of renting condos and staying in resorts on the beach. It smells like the seabreeze blowing through the double door into your suite. Completely tranquil. I highly recommend to try this with more than just a tiny sample because for me, I truly appreciate this when use 8-10 sprays and then carry a decant periodically refresh throughout the day. That's also the only way I can get projection.

I even spray this one on my face occasionally (this is generally a bad idea) just to enjoy the smell for longer. It's expensive, but if you spray it heavy, it's tough to beat. I've tried and own TONS of niche aquatics, and this is becoming one of my favorite when I don't want hardcore or complicated marine.💠

Scent 8.8/10
Performance 3/10

Performs better on hotter days. Sweating makes the fragrance boom

USMCGuitarHero

I'm sitting on a log at the beach just before sunset when Poseidon walks up behind me and says "Why the long face?" - I tell him that didn't do as well on the LSAT as I'd hoped and I probably won't get into Stanford this year. He gives me a side hug and says "You'll get 'em next time, big guy!" and then lets me play with his trident to cheer me up. Average longevity - fades in 10-12 hours. Reasonably good bargain (as niche fragrances go). Light, yet full bodied. Fresh, yet lush. Well balanced - manufacturer only lists 5 ingredients and they all cut through (Australian costal moss, lemon, sage, geranium, cedar). Excellent summer scent... if it was a little bit longer lasting, I'd wear it every day.

Forever Neil

what the heck is this? opens with a pleasant breezy salty beach vibe. 1 minute later it falls apart and smells like a synthetic mess. leans feminine. ugh.

Bigmike650

Smells nice, but longevity isn’t very good. Good dumb reach fragrance

W33d3!!!

I’ve owned this for a few weeks. It has gotten strong! Beautiful marine aquatic aromatic that reminds me of being in New England for the summers. I really don’t understand people complaining about performance. Beautiful scent

flem

This smells remarkably similar to Acqua di Gio Parfum. Maybe a little bit less spicy? If I were blind folded I would have a very hard time distinguishing between them. Remarkably similar. Near the very end when it has become a skin scent, it does become a touch sweeter. So, basically, if you like that you will like this.

mben086

After sitting for few months, this has become so strong! I love how its cooling and natural and fresh smelling without being too citrus or aldehydic. Like a more refined bougie and better performing jo malone wood sage and Ss.

stalal

It is ok I guess.. “Similar to” section is correct for this perfume. it doesn't last long on my skin.

BGBG

Very musky and clementine , mandarine or orange feel to it. Like a mix of Clementine California and Royal Copenhagen musk. Feminine leaning

morejmh

This smells like a slightly more palatable version of ACQUA DI SALE by Profumum Roma. This gives a blast of salty/beach/seaweed in the top and middle and is a bit too realistic for me. It reminds me of a cold pacific beach (like Cannon Beach). After a few hours the base reminds me of Calgon’s Ocean Breeze.

Hartsy3

I wasn't blown away by this one, but at the same time, I have nothing bad to say about it. It's exactly what you want it to be: a fresh, clean, summery smell. This definitely leans masculine and, as others have mentioned, smells a bit like a men's shower gel. But a more "sophisticated" version.

If I were a man, this would be an easy reach, fresh summer scent. I think this is a safe blind buy if you just want something fresh.

Hbblonde

Struggling to understand the huge hype behind this fragrance. It’s a nice, pleasant, and easy to wear fragrance, but to me this isn’t that intriguing or original. It’s basically a light, aquatic scent. Good for spring, summer, casual outings, the office.. It is similar to Davidoff and it doesn’t smell expensive or unique. I would say this isn’t worth the money. Lasted a few faint hours on me and I wasn’t sad when it dissipated completely because it’s pretty unmemorable.

Cdub5_

As this is one of my favorite summer/vacation fragrances out there, I came back to this page to check out fragrances similar to it.
To my astonishment, reading some of the reviews I notice people claiming this to have projection/longevity issues.
I bought a 10ml decant of this at least 3 years ago and I consider this to be one notch below nuclear. Whatever I have is very strong, one of the reasons I love it so much. I wore it yesterday morning, and today, next morning, I still smell hints of it on my wrists and it's most definitely blasting off my shirt from yesterday.
Hmm, I was about to buy a 100ml bottle, but I want to be sure I get what I think I'm going to be getting. Now I did just recently try Ingenious Ginger by G&B and as good as it smells it is a very intimate fragrance, opposite of the strength I thought I would be getting compared to my at least 3 year old Pacific Rock Moss...

KNEO

If the reformulation was supposed to fix the performance issues that existed in older batches, I'd be very curious to know how bad it was prior to reformulation because the performance isn't great with the new batches. I did a performance comparison between Pacific Rock Moss and Dior Homme Cologne, another fragrance with a reputation for poor performance and while PRM did ultimately win, it wasn't by much. You know what, though? With both of the aforementioned scents, I just don't care about the performance because both of them smell fantastic. PRM is a beautiful but maybe tragically short lived fragrance.

Scotty123

Ended up getting one of the newer formulations which has improved performance and I must say this is a nice fresh, aquatic mossy fragrance. It’s not worth the 185 price tag off their site, but if you find it for the right price I highly recommend adding this to your collection. It’s perfect for those very hot summer days.

V.Scent.Orient

🔹PASIFIC ROCK MOSS, for mild summer & spring 🌤️🌻

Initial spray is ultra citrusy and aquatic with a touch of marine notes.

I get a very beautiful and natural smells found in Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt too.

Gradually minor green addition filling in and then settles into a muskier woody base.

b.liz.b.2.3

Quite synthetic, alcoholic smell and doesn't last. The scent itself in theory is lovely but it doesn't perform.

JupiterMoon

Unique marine citrusy sweetness. Refreshing for summer but quite versatile year-round, casual, relaxed, semi-formal. Have to agree about the lack of projection and longevity, though. I kept spraying myself throughout the day wanting more. Even with this low performance, I found it memorable and different, it had a natural, outdoorsy feel and the quality was there. I was missing it a few days later.

UPDATE: Wear this when the mood hits in the summer. Performance is still low. This is simple and 'cartoon' bright, lacking much depth, but pleasant.

sgd11

100% agree with the person below me. Turned sour on me as well and had to get rid of my bottle.

Still A Great Night

Tried a sample of this and LOVED it, but then went and bought a bottle and found it turns sour on my skin during the dry down :-( Super disappointed.
If anybody wants to buy a 99.9% full 100ml bottle that has only been sprayed about six times, hit me.

Virus Detected

Not worth the money nooo way, price should be $30 that's how long it lasts. Scent is also way to simple for the price... it's just ok.

jessica_chinos

For me, this scent smells like a sliced lemon with honey in a beach with a forest nearby. It smells delicious, but it leans masculine, so it's a pass for me. I don't know why no one has compared this frag to Light Blue eau intense for women, since I find it quite similar. This frag could be Light Blue eau Intense version for men. I would LOVE to smell this on a man, it would be very sensual and classy.

IkeNose

Currently selling a 50ml bottle. Got it a month ago and have only sprayed it 5 times. If interested, let me know.

ScreaminBeeman

I purchased the G&B Discovery Set solely to test out Bohemian Lime as I couldn’t reliably find a tester for sale online and no retailers near me to get my nose on it. I was remarkably pleased with Pacific Rock Moss when I tried this one. Honestly my favorite out of the entire set.

A bright, fresh, clean scent that just ripped me straight to my summers at a boarding school and some of the best memories of my life. What gets me is that it does so without relying heavily on citrus, which is a refreshing take on a warm weather fragrance. There is some but when it burns off you don’t miss it as there is so much more to it. Salt spray and sun, but no sunscreen. This is pure happiness.

Ben0024x

I said it before and I’ll say it again, COMPLIMENTS COMPLIMENTS COMPLIMENTS.

Let's get one thing straight: aromatic scents like Pacific Rock Moss are supposed to function in the midrange of scent projection and performance. The majority of those who say "it's not long lasting" are correct since projection only works for these sorts of fragrances as skin scents in the cold season and performance scents in the warm/hot season. It’s not meant to be an overpowering scent designed to cause you a migraine. It's perplexing that most of you don't already know this about aromatic fragrances, particularly with this scent profile. If this was much "stronger," some notes would overlap and it wouldn't work; as it is, this scent is a masterpiece.

Pacific Rock Moss is still in its own league and is in my opinion the best aromatic fragrance out there. As I said, I get more complements from this than anything in the aromatic space today. Will forever be purchasing this amazing frag as long as they keep making it.

Sniffathon

Love love love! Wearable unisex summer aromatics that work so well in the heat. To my nose there’s a coconutty-ness to it but maybe it’s just due to my association to summery scents. Only downside is the distant drydown, it borders on smelling like the drydown of cheap men’s Cologne.

Ba2siK

Unique aquatic & salty, hints of melon imo, I really like it.
performance is meh

Cdub5_

Spray Pacific Rock Moss on one side of your body, then spray the other side with Virgin Island Water...Thank me later

MorningOud

You are standing on a cliffside, by the Ocean on the Australian Shore, a re-invigorating breeze blows salt water while you get whiffs of verdant lush Moss. I got slightly similar profile to Sedley maybe just the Citrus, and Geranium but this way smoother not as sharp. Perfect summer time scent, very relaxing.

Sniffathon

Oh what a glorious aromatic freshie! More aromatic than your typical citrus freshies, lovely moss note. Not overly aquatic, and I detect a slight coconuttiness on my skin. Very easy to wear in hot weather, refreshing to re-spritz. Loses points for longevity and would only purchase a full bottle at the right price.

ShelbyKB

Smooth, bright, slightly tart citrus on a bed of moss upon first spray! I love that the oakmoss is distinguishable right from the get go!

1 - 2 minutes into drydown: A mixed fruit drink that has been sitting out in the sun on smooth, flat rocks overlooking the Mediterranean for awhile is what comes to mind immediately, either that or some kind of lightly sweetened citrus tea! A soft wood is present in the backround. Thought the citrus could be bergamont, and the wood, driftwood! Some kind of slightly bitter floral is present, and it's almost rosey!

5 - 30 minutes into drydown: Subtle green notes poking through, and still going strong with the moss and citrus. Pretty linear so far, but lovely nonetheless!

I don't want to overcomplicate this beauty - it's not only fresh, but thirst quenching! The oakmoss really takes it to the next level of "freshie!" Cool, comfortable, and easy to understand for days you're feeling less than amazing. Hot weather's best friend!

4 sprays on clean, moisturized skin before bedtime, and could still smell it the next morning! It faded to a nice musk scent. Performance isn't stellar, but for a freshie it's decent!

Projection: 4/10 - am able to smell it at an arms length away for the first 30 minutes!
Longevity: 5/10

Edit: Sillage is great if you spray 6-8 times - my mom said she could smell me from about 8 feet away and that she could "smell where I had previously walked" :)

CodyHowl

Bright, sporty marine opening with a heady semi-floral middle. This is honestly a higher tier, pricier interpretation of an aquatic Adidas-style sports cologne, reminiscent of a high school athlete. It’s very pleasant and inoffensive, but probably too vibrant and youthful for some. The dry down evolves fresh and musky, like unwashed skin after a day in the pool. This is in my opinion a better offering for the Below-Thirties, but a very good one nonetheless. Great summer option if you want an uplifting, uniquely breezy blue alternative to loud citruses.

MatchaCat

Blue aquatic, citrus, pine, salt and mineral. Masculine leaning. As a woman, I didn't like it for myself, but I also don't think I'd like it on a man. 5 out of 10.

For reference, I'm female.

Josu01

Beautiful opening. Fresh, citrusy, herbal. This definitely feels like a hot weather perfume.

On my skin, during the dry down, it comes and goes. I stop smelling it, and then, suddenly I get this delicious fleeting aroma in the air. However, it doesn't last long on my skin. I would love for it to have a longer staying power.

Sirena78

I had a sample of PRM a couple years ago and remember I absolutely loved it. The problem with it, as most have mentioned, was the longevity. I also remember testing it in winter which may have not helped it develop its full potential. It has stayed in my mind though and I could not forget it. I just came across it again and was able to purchase the 100ml for about $160 so I went ahead and pulled the trigger. I don't think at that price point it is ridiculous. Besides, from late April to mid Nov where I live the temps are typically in the 90's and up so I need more perfumes that can work in extreme heat and humidity.

I do not understand the comparison to JM Wood Sage & Sea Salt. I own it and have for years and I do not like it nearly as much. If I get a fragrance that reminds me of one I have I test them side by side and PRM did not prompt me to pull out my WS&SS. PRM is sparkling or effervescent in a way WS&SS is not.

I'm happy to have purchased this and looking forward to the warmer weather and my home away from home on the beach to begin enjoying it even if I have to go very heavy handed with the spraying.

KumaraScents

LOVE this perfume and am happy to have bought the full bottle. The lemon at the opening reads more lime to me and I adore the punch you get with it at the initial spray. This scent is super fresh, sweet and sparkling. It is aquatic, but not full-blown salty marine, so really easy to wear. I live in the southern US and this will be a year-round scent for me...perfect for spring days, fresh in the heat and high humidity of summer, still wearable in our warm autumns (although likely not reached for as much when you crave warm ambers after a hot summer), and absolutely uplifting right now in midwinter when we have gray days in the 50's-60's and I'm restless for everything green to start growing again. I have over 100 full bottles of perfume and I can honestly say this is one of only a couple handfuls that really impressed me right from the first spray. I purchased this and Silky Woods at the same time and am very impressed with this perfume line so far.

chyan

I’m really into this. It smells almost exactly as I imagined it would, but better. Yeah, the opening is basic and aquatic, but it dries down to this powdery, dry and airy earthy moss that is to die for. There are mineralic notes as well. Unfortunately, the intensity and longevity don’t match up with the price. This performs like a cologne. Nonetheless, really moments away from a FB.

ptsau

It’s one of super hot days go to scents. It comes alive with heat. It’s fresh aquatic with some sweetness. Not overly citrusy (thank god). It brightens you up and refresh you under heat. The performance can be better tho. It’s not the worst but not good at the same time. Last 6-7 hours with intimate to moderate projection but the hotter the better projection so I only want to use it strictly in summer on hot days (not night).

Timyoungn304

I’ve sampled this one twice and loved every bit of it. As we already know it isn’t the strongest performer. And it takes HEAT to make it thrive. I came across SCENTual Obsessions version called Crashing Waves and it’s a dead ringer with MONSTROUS performance on my skin. I think I paid $55 for a 50 mL. If you’re in love with this scent but want the performance get yourself a sample from Kevin at Scentual obsessions.

bintTapputi

Yeah it's nothing ground breaking, but it's really nice. I agree with btd069, this is a $120 fragrance. Thankfully I don't live where he does, and it's only $185 which while still more than what I think it's worth is not as bad as $235! Thats nuts.

This is a great beachy gym frag. It reminds me actually of the old Abercrombie and Hollister fragrances from the early 2000s. I'm surprised anyone thinks this smells like Wood Sage & Sea Salt, but I will have to compare them later. First impression right now, no, these are two totally different genres of fragrance. This is a much more masculine (although still strongly unisex) fragrance that has a sporty luxury yacht boi vibe, whereas ws&ss is more comforting fem leaning, it's-warm-outside-but-I'm-not-doing-anything fragrance.

Overall I like it a lot. And if I see a cheap partial of this I am absolutely obtaining it. 8/10

btd069

Smell is very nice but nothing groundbreaking. Sweet Lemony Citrus & Sage Combo, Woods come in with a slightly sweeter Aquatic Vibe. Very pleasant, mass appealing fresh, clean smelling spa-like scent IMO. This would be a good beach or outdoor activity scent.

Where this takes a hit is on performance and price. Severely overpriced. I'd be glad to pay about $100-$120 for 100ml. $235 is just utterly ridiculous for this scent profile, not to mention that it only lasts a couple hours and that the projection and sillage is non-existent except for the first 10 minutes after which, this becomes a skin scent, much like the Joe Malone this is compared to.

If you have money to blow and like that scent profile, it could be for you. For me, after i use my 50ml I got on major discount, i won't be picking this up again but do very much enjoy it. Such a shame, cause you used to be able to pick up 100ml for $185 and apply discounts making it worth it. Now they've jacked up the price an additional $50......no thanks.

ivaylops

Smells great and would've been one of my go to summer fragrances, if only the performance was better.

Babieluv

I have been looking for the aquatic freshie that would blow my mind and I think I found it. This smells absolutely incredible. First few minutes I get a burst of lemon, but very soon I get nothing but a milky fig and salt. I know they are not in there though. This is going on for quite few hours. Then in the drydown sage and cedar are the prominent notes. I bought a travel version, but this is totally FB worthy.

Arsenal Till I Die

Sometimes it’s good to get your nose on as many things as possible. Whether it’s fragrances, scented candles, soaps, body washes etc well this pacific rock moss smells nice but smells like I used some nice soap at a day spa and it barely projects and is a skin scent so for that money it’s an easy pass along with them all from this house! nothing special at all or unique! there are far too many niche houses that charge ridiculous prices only for their fragrances to smell like other cheaper scented products which is a huge turn off for me!

HeiLi

Rock and moss and lots of playdough. Pass.

Update: After three hours I had to scrub it off, and the "ok" rating will be changed to a "dislike" rating. I had the urge to "detox" my nose and every brain cell responsible for olfactory memory with sth fresh, preferably a combination of mint and lemon, to forget the extremely cloying and annoying stench that the perfumed had developed into.

arizonaruby

Man this is good. I love aquatic scents but hate how so many smell the same. This is genuinely unique. It’s crisp, citrusy, mossy and a touch spicy, without any of those accords being too dominant. My favourite from Goldfield & Banks.

Cynthia30

Wow what an amazing perfume! I sprayed it on me at the Sephora opening, and thought it was too manly.

Sprayed it again today and I am just wowed by how fresh, sweet and pretty it is! My body chemistry must have changed.

The lemon and wood is reminding me of magnolia, I will have to test it against FM Eau de Magnolia

jbuzzz

My goodness, this is the best and most unique fresh, warm weather aquatic that I have smelled in a very long time. This is truly fantastic. I’d forget trying to imagine this one based on note breakdowns and just smell for yourself.

I was for some reason on the fence when I tried a spray on my arm to test it out, I couldn’t stop smelling it but it was so different I couldn’t fully wrap my head around it at first. A few weeks later I bought the 50 ml bottle, and now wish I would have gone for the 100 ml.

I’ve lately tried and bought so many things (both cheapies and expensives), I was in the habit of only wearing certain things one day at a time, changing fragrances every day. Instead of finding a fragrance and wearing it a bunch because of being in love with it, then wearing another “love” for a few days (Not trying to sound uppity btw, just saying I was in a bad habit of just buying frags to have more in my collection instead of really seeking out good things, not what I really want to do). This one though, I’ve worn it several days in a row because I really do think it’s great.

It has right down the middle moderate performance and projection, although it does last longer than I thought based on others comments and smelling clothes later with a faint whiff. Not bad for the type of scent profile, but wish it were slightly better in performance.

I think I need to narrow down my search a little more so I can appreciate the really nice fragrances like this and others more. Weed out some that I don’t really wear as much, even if they smell good, I’m trying to smell GREAT all the time :)

Jack Waterson

By no means a bad fragrance, but it's definitely what it says on the bottle. Pacific. Rock. Moss. I found the citrus opening quite nice, but it died off quite quickly.

Glyph

To me this is more the ideal of what the ocean coast smells like than what it actually smells like, but it's so well done. This is a relaxing, clean, highly enjoyable summer fragrance. It's pretty linear, and has a big opening of marine and citrus notes, with lots of moss (and some quiet floral notes) behind them. This would lighten anyone's mood.

This initially radiated out a good three feet from me for about two hours, then settled down to a skin scent for hours longer.

RisingChaos

Simple watery citrus aromatic. The lemon plus sage combo comes across kinda limey. Fresh, clean, and a little green. Natural smelling but not very potent. Moderately soft projection for ~2hr at best, longevity 5-6hr.

blue_sauvage

This fragrance is dominated by a sugary lemon accord and standard sea notes found in most aquatic fragrances. Smells a bit more natural than others (such as Old Navy Sea Salt and Fig or Nautica Voyage). Performance is a sad joke. 1-2 hours max. Not worth the nearly $200 that it sells for. You may as well just get something like Nautica Voyage (even if it is a little more synthetic smelling). Smells better, performs better and the price won't leave you feeling burned. Save your money for something better.

Hotduece

This is a beautiful scent. Soooooo much better than than the more mainstream aquatics and gets better and better as it dries. Has become one of my favorite summer grabs. Performance for me is fine, few sprays on skin and a couple more on my shirt and I get wafts for 7 hours in the summer heat.

Parfumadict.

Recently I got a sample of this from Fragracenet...
Up on using almost half of the 0.7 ml, I didn't detect NOTHING after 1 hour. Thank goodness for samples being available for purchase! I saved myself more than $250 dollars. Yet, the fragrance is phenomenal, the sillage is about an arm long and the longevity is a bit less than 60 minutes. If you need a fresh fragrance like this for almost US $230 less, you should get Avon Exploration; It has triple the longevity and double the sillage at least.

pianogoon

This is a light, fresh, clean inoffensive fragrance. A pleasant citrus and aquatic scent that dries down with slightly herbal and woody notes but remains fresh.

The performance was a bit of a joke. After maybe 1-2 hrs I could barely smell it without huffing on my arm. Perhaps it needs to be more liberally applied to perform.

I can imagine that this would perhaps be a nice thing to wear on a very warm sunny day heading to the beach or something like that, but do I want to wear an expensive scent to the beach for it to wash off in the sea??

Anyway, I kinda feel the hype garnered for this brand and scent from a certain Youtube personality is undeserved. In my opinion, its OK but not as amazing as portrayed or worth the price tag.

EauDeBaldy

A very soft, beautiful, inoffensive aquatic/floral type.
A good fragrance for the summer.. not even the spring. The heat will make this a bit stronger as this is in the same vein as something like Versace Eau Fraiche... Where its there and can be smelled as you pass someone, but its not strong enough to last so long and reach so far.

Again, worth a try. A nice like for me.

Sully92

This is the best one I've tried so far from G&B. Nice fresh citrus opening but the moss and geranium stops it from veering into cleaning product territory. The cedar and sage come through in the drydown but it's not overly woody, it stays quite fresh and the moss and a touch of lemon stick around through the life of the fragrance.
It projects moderately on me for the first hour before becoming a skin scent. Longevity is around 7 hours on skin (haven't tried it on clothes). It's dead on in the middle of being unisex, it will smell great on men and women.

It's a nice uplifting summer fragrance. Yes it's a bit overpriced and I'm not usually into freshies but this one just lifts my spirits and makes me happy when I smell it so I'll definitely be getting a full bottle for the hot aussie summer.

Bear Claws

Many calling this the lesser version of Wood Sage & Sea Salt, for most casual users Pacific Rock Moss would be an easily better smelling fragrance, its more pleasant and easier to digest, more rounded with attractive aromas, is giving somewhat designer vibes but very different at the same time.
Wood Sage & Sea Salt has more primal and raw (natural??) feel to it that hits your nose hard from the opening. Its unfinished creation that lacks attention grabbing factor, therefore you will get bored by and overlook it much quicker.

ryanok21

Simple but great spring/summer fragrance. The fresh aquatic feel is easy to wear.

b1ad3

Blissful. This is not a complex scent, and it doesn't try to be. Its beauty is in its simplicity. What it does, it does very well. The overall feeling you get with it is serene. As others have mentioned below, it calms and rejuvenates the senses...I have to agree. Beautiful lemon that never goes into 'cleaner' territory, but stays light and fresh. It has very solid longevity, but the sillage/projection is low. I sprayed it originally on a test strip and left it on my desk, I could still clearly smell it a few days later, but again, not projecting. The herbal sage, citrus and moss smell very natural (not synthetic at all). This one is a great dumb reach for summer, it would be very hard for someone to be offended by it.

Scent: 3/5
Longevity: 4/5
Sillage: 1/5

Steven221283

I've voted this as being more feminine. It's a very nice scent, for sure. I can imagine a woman wearing it to the beach or spraying it on after going for a swim. Tbf I can see why it could be considered unisex, just to me it's slightly more feminine. The reason I wouldn't personally get it is because it strikes me as something for specific occasions (ie. Beach, poolside) and therefore I wouldn't get enough wear out of it.

melmelmel

As the others have said, it resembles popular and iconic commercial perfumes.
First whiff: DG light blue for women.
20 minutes later: Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt with a little more green, like you've just dried off your skin off the coastal shores of the Pacific Ocean.
Pro: claims to be paraben, sulfate free, oil-free. No risk of inducing breast cancer.
Con: Due to the lack of paraben (the chemical that keeps smells long on your skin & surfaces) and oil-free formula, it doesn't last too long.

btd069

Citrus, watery, earthy & woody. Smells really fresh and bright. Not sure i'd pay the niche retail price for this. They do send you a coupon for $30 off if you buy the discovery set, but even at $155 after coupon, i'm not sure it's bottle worthy. I can't see projection being too great here. It will probably last but it's more of an intimate scent unless you spray very heavily. This is definitely going to shine in warm weather and probably doesn't have enough strength or density to perform in cold weather. It kind of reminds me of a couple of the Acqua Di Parma scents i own.

I'll have to give this more wearings to see if it lives up to the hype. I prefer Bohemian Lime more from this brand than this. Not saying that this is a bad fragrance, IMO its just not worth the asking price unless they can get this to last at least 7-8 hours, which I don't see them ever doing, as pleasant as this smells.

cjoudas

This is a nice and likeable citrus aquatic, fresh and great for hot weather. On the other hand, to my nose it's not very unique or interesting. I'm halfway through this sample set, and I have to be honest... It's not my favorite. Nothing I wouldn't wear, but the price is way too high for how generic these feel.

SilkyWoods

Oh my this is good. Perfectly balanced. Fresh but not sharp, floral but not sticky.
I feel like some aquatics lack depth but this one is just luxurious deliciousness that makes me feel rich. I only have a 10ml spray of this, might need a FB.

SINJUN

Fresh, aquatic and earthy. My dream scent. Like a walk on the Washington Coast at LaPush baby!

finerthing_940

If you live in a warm/hot climate then this is one to try. I typically go for freshies, so it was no surprise that I fell in love with Pacific Rock Moss. It's fresh, aquatic and oceanic. Will transport you to crystal blue waters.

Very wearable and 100% unisex.

rita.zaretskaya

This seriously reminds me of something. Could be Acqua Di Gioia Eau Fraiche by Armani, could be SoCal by Hollister, could be something. Longevity is decent but not as good as Lime from same collection. That one was inexorable.

Edit: Purchased a full bottle. It has decent longevity and smells pleasant and fresh on boyfriend who got compliments from strangers on it.

Vincents1278

Is there ever any real hype behind a fragrance? I don't think so. When this came out people were excited because it's good. Is that hype? I don't think so. If something is good people talk about it and share. Well, anyway, here's some more hype, and my humble opinion.
Geranium, cedar, moss, some kind of amber or other resinous accord. These are the basics of a marine scent. Any blue scent has most, all or at least some of these notes. This has it and a little something else like a seaweed note (not briney or low tide). I'm not sure.
The citrus is mild, if anything. The rest is what you expect from a blue marine scent.
But here's the thing - it lasts for hours and hours. It's what most of us who like a good marine scent want but with longevity (about 7 hours, which on my skin is amazing). Good longevity with marine scents is rare, even with Chanel Blue and some of the "higher" end department store and sephora brands.
Of all the marine summertime scents I've tried in the past 15 years, this is my favorite. Caveat - there's nothing super interesting about it. There are other niche brands that have marine style fragrances that have a little something else going on, (Maison Kurkdjian Aquas) but this is not one of those. If you get the smaller bottle it's only like $100 and you'll use it every spring and summer. Worth it, just to have a niche marine frag in the arsenal.

hritz87

I don’t understand the hype behind it

Dirtyhoody

Nothing special. Similar to many freshies you've probably smelled. Save your niche money for something more...niche.

ggartel

My first wear of this fragrance was on a spring day in New England - the temperature when I put it on was in the high 40s, with a high for the day of 60. In this climate it reminds me a great deal of Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt, although I like the additional lemony note which adds depth to the fragrance. I look forward to trying this in the hot weather and seeing which notes come forward that I’m not getting now!

Edit to add: I get around 6 hours of wear before this becomes a skin scent - and even then I can still smell it, but I feel ready to reapply. Compared to the 2-3 hours I get with Wood Sage & Sea Salt, the extra $0.40 per oz is totally worth it if you ask me.

Celestya

Citrous fresh fragrance. Versatile, 100% unisex. Perfect for summer, good longevity for this type of fragrances. Office compatible without any problem. I can smell lemon and moss mainly (not geranium).
9/10 for summer

brightsun2205

Sweet, citrusy, aromatic, aquatic, uplifting and summery scent. This is called the "D&G Light Blue Down Under", so it is very work and gym friendly and is much recommended for those who are sensitive to chemical smells in conventional fragrances. This fragrance performs well in warmer climates.

Whoa, this is long-lasting on my skin.

Frenchghost

Growing up my dad would take me,my brothers&sister to a creek to jump on rocks in a creek..they had moss all over them...it was beautiful&was nice to get a little out of the city as a family on a budget lol this gives me happy fun&energetic vibes...great take on a clean creek ~rocks&moss..in my opinion~ absolutely love this¡!¡

The Wolf

First time I've tried anything from this house and I'm not impressed. Opens up with a pleasant fresh aldehyde with citrus which is very refreshing.
After a couple minutes it turns sweeter and smells like sprite soda. I was expecting more of a moss presence and some marine notes. But after that first transition that takes mere minutes from the opening, it's completely linear sweet(ish) for the rest of the duration. There's nothing salty or marine here.

Doesn't smell bad, just generic. This would be a suitable dumb reach for warm weather but I wouldn't pay more than 40 or 50 bucks for this juice. Jo Malone wood sage & sea salt is a better option. Other niche options would be Tauer Phtaloblue, Penhaligon's Blasted Heath (if you can find it), Heeley Sel Marin, Creed Erolfa, Sara Baker Atlante, or Profumum Roma Acqua Di Sale. These are far superior to this fragrance imo.

Oh, this is beautiful. I had a sample I gave to my husband, as it is more his kind of scent. And I looove it on him. It’s a warm, juicy citrus nicely balanced with sweet, salty and herbal notes. Summery and fresh but well rounded and grounded with the earthy oak moss and cedar in the base.
It doesn’t have huge projection but I can easily smell it on my husband more than 12 hours after he put on just a couple of sprays.

Ben0024x

I strongly believe that some reviewers don’t know what they’re talking about. This fragrance is a masterpiece, compliments for days. This is one of those fragrances that puts you in a good mood, a great scent to create memories and smell amazing in the process. This will be a part of my rotation for the rest of my life as long as they keep making it. 10/10 stop thinking about it and just grab a bottle!

washudtoj

I don't understand why manufacturers consistently and spectacularly fail to list all the key notes in the pyramid.

If your perfume has noticeable notes - especially those that can turn some people off or on - list them so.

If you have salt or sea notes, list them.

If you have ambroxan, list it.

If you have patchouli, pepper, chilli, spices, oud, etc., list them. Please!!!

How many times have we been deceived by a perfume simply because the notes are incomplete? Is it too much to ask for manufacturers to list complete notes?

Seriously...

kokonose

Smells like Maine to me. All the notes above come through in this scent, but it's primarily a wet lemon moss. It's beautiful in its simplicity, perfectly unisex.

hardyn

Absolute gorgeous scent BUT…
For a niche perfume, it should last longer than 2 hrs. Not worth the $$$
I would best describe it as a D&G light blue crossed with Chloe Nomade.
This scent has the potential to be the GOAT but the makers really need to work on the longevity of this product

Wwoman

This begins with a blast of citrus, quickly followed by several herbal notes. The moss and cedar components are beautiful, and do become significant after dry down. As this matures, I really enjoy the herbal qualities of the geranium/sage contrasted with the cedar/moss base notes. Unfortunately, this loses strength very quickly and has little sillage or lasting power. If it was stronger, it would be nice to get a bottle. As is, I could only recommend this for people who need a super light, but fresh/pretty, fragrance.

RogerJr17

I bought this one last year thinking I was going to have a good option for Spring/Summer. I had seen several reviews on YouTube about it, most of which hyped this up to no end. I sampled it and it smelled alright but I had performance issues with it. I wanted to give it a chance so I bought it. It came in the mail during the spring and it was about 70 degrees Fahrenheit. I had ideal conditions to wear it so I sprayed it on (about 4 sprays) and tested it for about 2-3 weeks. As always, here are the results:

1) Smell: Generic. That is the word that comes to mind when I smell this. It smells distantly (and I do mean DISTANT) similar to DHS without the ginger and a bit more floral. That being said, I prefer DHS for multiple reasons (most of which I'll cover here). This doesn't smell like anything I haven't smelled before. First spray, you get the lemon but it doesn't smell authentic. It smells like a lemon-scented cleaner. It's also very linear, meaning, don't expect a journey when you spray it on and wear it for the first time. It's one of those spray-a-few-times-and-forget scents. Overall, I was disappointed.
Rating: 5/10

2) Projection: It's not a projection beast. That being said, it's a spring/summer scent. Not meant to blow your head off. It's light but I think it's TOO light. Going back to my comparison of DHS, DHS lasted much longer on my skin and projected much better than Pacific Rock Moss. It's so light it's almost completely transparent in my opinion. I got maybe a foot or two of decent projection within the first 2-3 hours, then it's a skin scent. For the price tag, it's a huge strike against it.
Rating: 4/10

3) Price: $125 for 50 mL ($2.50 per mL) and $185 for 100 mL ($1.85 per mL). This is actually decent value. I think this fragrance attempts to straddle the line being "mainstream" or "niche." The vibe I got was that they are going for mass appealing, which this price tag might appeal to honestly. Depending on how many times you reapply, this could possibly be a good value-for-money pickup.
Rating: 7/10

4) Versatility: This scent is very inoffensive (unless you hate lemons). You can literally wear it anytime, anywhere. It's light enough to not offend. You can wear it to the gym, work, casually, night out. The possibilities are endless. This area is the only category that Pacific Rock Moss can shine. I do believe this is meant for summer/spring, but you can wear it any time of the year.
Rating: 10/10

Final thoughts & rating: 6.5/10. Try it but this is a hard pass from me. I won't be reaching for it first thing for a spring/summer scent. With it being Fall now and the weather becoming colder, I definitely won't be reaching for it that often. The price point and versatility were really the only positives I could get out of reviewing this one. Normally those are good points to make a purchase but I couldn't get past the scent. The scent being so generic really disappointed me. Consider another option for a summer/spring reach instead of this one.

waldoseye

This is very long lasting. 8-10hours. It has low projection but it hangs on for a very very long time for a fresh fragrance.

I understand why people say it doesn’t last; because the full citrus and zest does away quickly BUT it leaves you with Malone’s Sage + Salt with a heavier dose of oak moss that just refuses to quit.

Shadow_Slammer

I was looking for a lush green and mossy fragrance. Pacific Rock Moss by Goldfield & Banks isn’t it. Rock Moss smells like a smooth citrus aquatic to me. It’s decent in its own right. 6.5/10 (What I found that I love is Moss by commodity, and Greenly by PDM)

bleukreuz

This is a nicer smelling "Sea Mineral" by the House of Palmolive handwash! Haha. In all seriousness, if someone bought me this I wouldn't mind wearing it, but given the price tag is AU$229 for 100mL or AU$158 for 50mL, I think I will pass for now.

AveParfum

Pacific Rock Moss reminds me of many aquatic 90's fragrances, but the melon-like calone note isn't so pronounced. First I found myself wanting to wear it after my shower at the gym, but now I reach for it daily, so I bought a FB. I spray 3-4 times. It always smells so fresh and clean without being musky at all. Sometimes musky fragrances can feel oppressive, not clean. Like I don't always want to feel as though there is a "cloud" lingering around me; after my shower I want something totally fresh. I am not a fan of citrus, especially with oppressive musky drydowns. This was my problem with things like Chance Eau Fraîche and Eau Tendre and a myriad of similar fragrances. They somehow aren't especially fresh after my shower. In Pacific Rock Moss's heart to drydown, I really get the moss, but it still smells clean. It doesn't project big, but at the same time I get wafts of it from time to time. It lasts a good 6 hours until I want to touch up a little.

Pacific Rock Moss reminds me of of a faint/soft version Kingston Ferry by Olympic Orchids.

So the verdict is: There may be other aquatic frags on the market, but they’re all too flowery, musky, or too something. For interest, some people are creating aquatics with leather, gourmand notes, incense, so they’re too heavy. This one is perfectly clean and simple, like sweet ocean water. Sometimes a fragrance just works for you!

equanimiss

This is nice but didn’t agree with my skin chemistry. I have a .7 ml dabbler sample available for the price of mailing (continental US only) if anyone is interested.

waldoseye

Is this a generic aquatic citrus? Yes. Is it underperforming and forgettable? Yes.

Here’s the thing. There really is a role for really soft enjoyable fragrances. Office, casual, running errands, quick lunch with friends, chilling at home, walking the dog, etc.... The point is that there is a role for the generic pleasing scent.

Thus if we are to have one fragrance fill that role, which would it be? It certainly smells better than all the blue Ambroxan bombs. Smells better than the light blues. Smells better than the acqua di gios.

So it is forgettable and generic but it does really well. It is perfectly balanced and fairly natural smelling. Citrus is fresh but not piercing or sweet, aquatic is more like a sea breeze than ambroxan calone overload. All kept interesting by the herbal aspects.

If money is no issue for you I’d recommend this one. Got lots of compliments from a sample. Still don’t know if I’ll get a full bottle.

amr99

Not bad but it’s the most generic smelling from their line. They have many amazing creations but this one is not worth the $$$ IMO

finito

Shower gel. Shrubbery. A swimming pool.
Synthetic. Short lived.

North worth the price, an utter disappointment.

EugZ4

very synthetic smelling. No no no !

Loving Awareness

Would love to see the naturals that actually go into this creation! I like it but not for the reason that I purchased, I wanted a botanical masterpiece and instead got a watered down + citrus Hollister/A&F cologne. Mass appealing, flirty and pleasant overall but nothing original, unfortunate. Someone point me in the direction of a moss master

AMajeedQT

Classically clean freshie.

Pacific Rock Moss (PRM) is a fresh, aquatic, grassy-aromatic scent. It's clean, fresh, cool, & really salty that I'm surprised at the lack of a "sea salt" note. Fresh aromatic sage dominates PRM, while oakmoss gives it a green grassy character. The lemon is not overt nor zesty; it exists mainly to freshen up the combination further.

Fresh, soft, clean, cool, aquatic, salty, aromatic, lightly-watermelony.

Honestly, it is not the unique fresh scent I hoped it would be, even though I really like it. This is my first Goldfield & Banks ever to try & I had very high hopes for a surprising, niche, fresh scent. Still, PRM is a really good, refreshing summer scent if you are looking for one. It has one of the better water-like accords in the market. Yet, don't expect something niche-smelling but rather designer.

It does have similarity to Jo Malone's Wood Sage & Sea Salt; both have a prominent salty sage accord. However, PRM is not an exact clone of Malone's: WS&SS is saltier, while PRM is softer & more aquatic.

PRM is a great warm weather wear that would please the crowds. It is perfectly unisex. The price, in my opinion, is steep at $175 per 100ml bottle.

Big "Like"

Bison blues

Great, but doesn’t last long enough or project ever... I know it’s a light summer scent, but it seems like a missed opportunity to establish another great blue scent.

Hovson

just got a sample today... it's light and fresh kind of reminds me of a bathroom spray i can't remember.. i thought for 180 i was gonna smell luxury that it is not. smells ok but for that price it can't just be ok. if dua made a clone of this i would buy other than that im cool

UPDATE: ok so i put it on yesterday and after exercising taking a shower it's still on me the next day not a faint smell like i smell it good, i think they said the new one with the gold cap was reformulated to perform better well it does. but still the smell is just ok at best way better fresh smelling colognes out there. jo malone wood sage & sea salt being compared to this is disrespectful wood sage & sea salt is miles better than this not even in the same league jo malone is 40 cheaper with probably worst performance but the smell is undeniable, so even with pacific rock moss having great performance still not worth that 180 to me but try it maybe your nose could love it.

Antonio072966

Does anyone know if you can tell if it’s the newer version( gold cap w/ white label) without opening the box. ie: batch code, different box? Thanks

Vitodito

I really understand why this is so popular.

It smells really really really amazing.

I wouldn’t tell from the notes i see here, so don’t be scared it doesnt smell lemon pledge or old moss. It smells fresh and juicy, fruity and fresh.

Everyone loves it!

Dunnow about performance.

stancusergiu07

OMG! The new formonation has amazing performance (gold cap, white label)
Much much better performance than Bohemian lime, which is also good, but after 2 hours you can’t smell anything, and there is no projection at all

atticus4

I like the smell but it definitely leans feminine to my nose. I agree with vd86, get Profondo instead! Or PDM Sedley, I think Sedley smells similar but is more worth your money and more masculine. Not worth the price tag at all! Get Bohemian Lime from Goldfield & Banks instead which lasts 10+ hours!

Fuming_hot

Sweet aquatic, almost a dead ringer for Wood Sage and Sea Salt by Jo Malone! I've had both the iterations of this- the one with the orange label and the latest with the white and the performance is definitely much better in the newer version. I wouldn't really call it feminine as it seems very unisex to me and wouldn't be out of place at all at a beach party. Screams summer fun for me.

Claude dirte

Nothing offensive about this, unfortunately nothing really interesting either. Too safe, too mass appealing, too played out. Designer type fragrance with sub par performance/longevity and niche price tag. 6.5/10

dreamsound

I have the new batch with the gold cap/white label...never had the old one...performance on this is really really good. Not only does it last on my skin, I'm getting whiffs of it pulsating after 7 hours as if its still pushing out. So the compliment factor has been extremely high. At work I'm wearing max 2 sprays because it really pushes out, especially in the first 3 hours

lzblz

Smells incredibly similar to Breath of God from Lush. Minus the Smokey incense

pauladeyemo

Jeremy Fragrance shilling overpaid garbage again.

stancusergiu07

Anyone smelled the new formulation with the gold cap and white label? Is it any good, has the performance been improved?

Ersatz

Another one of those clever fragrances that help me understand the ways in which citrus can actually work on my skin. In this case it's particularly impressive because lemon is the citrus note most likely to turn sour on me. Yet with this juice it doesn't. Sure, I imagine there's a bit of the luck of the draw in there, but then again it also contains some notes that, in their pure form, are some of my favourite smells the world has to offer; cedar, geranium and sage. The intriguing combination of notes dries down to something that is grounded with well-rounded, earthy bass notes and enough sweet high points, a bit like someone singing a descant arising above the main melody.

nickyt99

I don’t usually like beachy scents, but this one does not smell cloying. I get a bit of coconut but not overwhelming. It’s an easy summer time perfume if you want a beach feeling.

CeceliaHuynh

This is very plain and not to my taste but it would please someone who likes a bright, citrus oceanic scent. The smell does not evolve over time and it reminds me of a popular cologne but I can't put my finger on the name of it.

algerianlila

Really like this one but for the price tag poor longevity! Any alternative to compensate the poor longevity?

Jonbolton 1

A hot summers day in a bottle basically nice scent but over priced if paying retail as longevity is bad imo virgin island water is a better choice if your looking for high heat fragrance

RosaMilena

Wonderful Summer Day Oceanside Walk scent. Opens with a fresh melange lemon and sage with a touch of geranium overlaying a delightful creeping sea moss cradle. A gentle cedar frames everything like a treasure box found on the beach while strolling along the coast with fresh sea spray all around you, the rocks and cliffs on one side with creeping herbs and vegetation and maybe a blooming fruit tree, the ocean on the other side. Totally unisex and bracingly fresh but not screechy. Summertime bliss out party on the beach scent here. Delightful!

Kloppo

Smells like a Victorian coastline rockpool that someone's chucked a sugar soaked lemon into. If this one wasnt as sweet and a little less musk with more salt or a hint of rosemary I could see it being a banger, but for me it's just nice. This falls more into the category of a splash for me, and i'm never one to overspray. Performance is as expected from a freshie, about 3 hours, but projection is almost non-existant. Good, but not full bottle good.

TheBoyToy

Smells fresh, aquatic, and a little salty with a hint of sweetness, this works best in high heat where other colognes would become cloying, also with the new formulation I get pretty good performance and projection, lasts around 7 hours on my skin and longer on my clothes. It is also strongly unisex, anyone can pull this off. It is slightly overpriced but it has quickly become one of my favorite summer/high heat scents. Also definitely a compliment getter. My only real knock on this cologne is the price.

SmellsGreat33

If only this lasted more than an hour on my skin...

This had a chance to be one of my favorite fragrances. However, extremely poor longevity and this bottle had to go. Sadly.

Smell: 9/10
Longevity: 2/10
Overall: 6/10 (Just because I do love how it smells)

kristenboris1997

Wow, I got a sample of this with a perfume order and I really like it! I say its unisex but maybe slightly more masculine? Anyway, I really love the simplicity of not too many notes and it really does remind me of the seaside and I just love that mossy smell! Wonderful :)

robbiebgg

From a sample - initial blast of lemon with a touch of salt. It then calmed down & I really wanted to like this. But alas - within an hour it had almost faded away. I will try again when summer arrives & we get some warm weather.

wendal

Hate this. Smells like baby powder and artificial coconut.

Sample from Luckyscent.

vetiverica

A pleasant, citrus-y ozonic. Solid release.

Mchapmansydney

Yeah fine. Don't understand how there could've ever been hype for this. It starts with a nice very lemony fresh, salty smell. Ends quite nicely, gets creamier as it dries down. But really does nothing for me. I don't dislike it, if someone smelled like this I'd think nothing of it. The longevity for projection was pretty low, but for me remained a skin scent very well, lasted about 8+ hours close to the skin.

It's a decent, but unimpressive summery smell with a pleasant enough creaminess. I wouldn't wear it personally. There are better pure citruses, and better aromatic fragrances. Overpriced and overhyped. Worth a try. Lots seem to love it. The sample pack is a good deal.

tessture

Wow, really? This 100% salted fruit on me. That being said, it’s a really excellent salted fruit. Shares remarkable simalarities to Falling Into the Sea but it’s better in Pacific Rock Moss, more marked, longer lasting and better sillage. Very pretty. Not aquatic, but citric.

Remy1971

While this smells utterly fantastic in the sample decant, it disappeared so fast I was left dumbfounded. For the price of this cologne, it is the equivalent of paying for an ice sculpture in Death Valley. I guess the people here raving about this scent would pay the same price for a previously frozen lobster tail as others would for a fresh Maine whole lobster. I am not one of those people.

OTA Mom

"Experience a moment"--well, that's about right! Pleasant enough, if you manage to catch it in the first couple of sniffs. Barely there lemon cologne.

BirkinSmell

Hilarious to see the tend line now that the site is updated lmao. Hmm I wonder who could have possibly caused that? Lmao.

Bergamet

I want to start off by saying that I totally understand why people don't like this fragrance, but to me this is the absolute epitome of a nostalgic Australian summer by the beach. I get what G&B are doing, there are notes in all of their fragrances that will only be familiar to those that have spent time here. It's never been more obvious to me that scent is closely linked to memory, so I don't expect anyone else to understand why this fragrance feels so special. Yeah it's a bit artificial, yeah it leans feminine, yeah it's expensive, yeah it doesn't last that long but... I... Don't... Care... I'm head over heels in love. I spent my childhood summers on the south coast of NSW, and apparently that's where the Coastal Moss note originates.

I managed to get 2 hours solid projection and a further 4 - 6 hours as a skin scent without any issues with any of the notes. The only way that this could be offensive to anyone is if you were expecting something different or if you're looking for better performance (sample first for sure). For an aquatic scent, I actually think this holds up quite well. I sampled wood infusion first and had to unload 1ml of that fragrance onto my skin to get the performance I desire. When I did the same with this I got way further with it. I can't say for sure why it seems to perform better on me than what others have indicated below, current batch, overspraying or maybe it's just my skin? I would rate it as quite reasonable performance. Not great for the price, but with a scent that clicks like this I seriously don't care that much. It's all about feeling, isn't it?

Kronstadt

Wonderful scent, but agree with some on here. Performance isn’t great. If it had greater projection and longevity, it would be a 10/10. As is, 7/10 and it’s definitely a sweet aquatic.

espoj

Not sure why there is a lot of negative feedback, I bought their 8 x 2ml discovery set as to make sure to test each one before I bought any.

Have used 3 times the 2ml PRM tester sample and I got to say... it was great. Does what an aquatic marine fragrance should do. In fact im not sure why there hasn't been a comparison to Laliques Encre Noire sport. Very similar bar the fact its omitting that skanky vetiver that ENS has.

Not sure why everyone is carrying about performance. I always test my fragrances at home so im in tune with it and it doesn't have the outside environment to compete with and I got wiffs for a solid six hours and rested on skin for 8. Great performance for a summer aquatic. Not beast mode by any stretch but what summer fragrance does?

The actual DNA was lovely, dont get why people think it smells cheap. It clearly doesn't and it also clearly reflects their image G&B were going for, Coastal and marine. Clean and crisp. Ill be buying a bottle for summer. That is for sure.

And $$$$. It's not that expensive. What is everyone on about. $240 here for a 100ml bottle in AUD; thats equivalent to entry level TF signature lines. Get a grip everyone.

Haters will be haters. Unfortunately, you get them more than we need.

A great summer edition to those who are looking for one.

smellyoul8ter

Not gonna breakdown any notes here because if I’m being honest- I can’t pick a lot of it out. Instead, picture a warm summer day. A freshly laundered white linen shirt is laying on a large sun soaked rock by the beach. The waves are splashing below and a salty spray of the water is landing on the shirt. This is that type of scent. Performance and longevity seem to be concerns. Sample before you pay that price!

SYL

gelkita

Nice, fresh and pleasant. Definitely a summer scent.
Nothing to write home about... poor longevity ! 😵

rolfii

Great scent, but also made me realize that i am just not a fun of fruity scents. This comes off as a slightly fruity aquatic, very unique and perfect for summer. I think of an surferboy when i smell this perfume.

Super fragrance, just not for my personal taste.

Malifiscent

It's a good one for those who like soft scents. It's not exactly aquatic or the typical citrus. Actually pretty unique for what it is. Slightly sweet and breezy. I think it gets a lot of hate because of the hype, and a lot of people tend to prefer heavier perfumes, but this is not something you'd hate really, decently likeable. Doesn't knock your socks off, but it's pretty. For those who also like the soft airy type of perfumes. The longevity is not great though, I admit. Still bought a bottle though.

BigPine

Nice, but weak. I would wear this only for myself or an intimate partner, since the projection is basically a skin scent, and the longevity is less than a couple of hours.

I had tried it on my skin just a few hours ago, it's all but gone unless I ram my nose into my wrist.

Holding it up to my nose on a piece of paper as I write this, I get fig (or maybe the Geranium?), some citrus, all over a very Beachy smell.

I don't get the "Moss", I get Florida, emerging over the dunes to the beach. Having worked and lived around the North Atlantic in New England my entire childhood - including crabbing as well as gutting fish for people chartering fishing vessels - I don't get the "Mossy Rock Strewn Seaside" or "Salty Sea" vibe but more "Summer Beach" vibe.

nastro

I think people misunderstand this fragrance. Goldfield & Banks achieved exactly what the name of the perfume suggests. This is a perfect imitation of the smell of a mossy, stony coast. They also could have easily replaced the name with Atlantic as this immediately transports me back to many good memories I made at the bay of Cádiz where I lived for a while. Nailed it. 5/5.

Only buy it if you want to smell exactly like a wet, mossy stone on the shore.

red81king

Disappointed. Had higher expectations

Thought it would be at least in the high tier list of great summer fragrances but it hardly makes the B tier. I think everyone will "LIKE" this fragrance but I cant imagine alot of people luving this fragrances.

nocoolnamesleft

Really happy i'm trying 2x 2ml samples.

Completely over priced and smells like something a young female would wear - not for males at all.

Its very synthetic smelling like those knock off fragrances you find at the check out counter at a funny t-shirt store.

Not worth the Demi hype at all. Probably another sponsor.

Its such a close skin smell too..little to no projection at all.

I wouldnt mind if this was on a females neck if i was close and/or hugging.

2/10 for a male scent.

Stwmylos

Fresh, enjoyable and subtle. Rather moderate longevity and sillage. Very easy to wear and inoffensive. It reminds me of sunshine and..happiness?? Maybe the word carefreeness is more accurate. Very good.

8.5/10

zulf147

From a 2ml decanted sample on a warm British summers day.

Really underwhelmed and do not understand the hype. I would have probably enjoyed this as a teenager but it comes across super soapy on my skin. To my nose, I’m reminded of the dry down from YSL Live Jazz which I wore in my teens although the note breakdown for each are very different barring the lemon and cedar. And Jazz imo is in another league to this. At the price PRM is being retailed at I wouldn’t go near it with a barge pole. I can see why it would appeal to some but for me there a tonne of far superior fragrances out there.

4/10 for me but I’ll revisit this sample at a later date just to ensure I wasn’t having a bad nose day.

Ricardo_di

is nice fragance, fresh, acuatic, clean, can't offend anyone with this one, good for summer, smells like a totally new cleaning product smell, if a house smell like this i would like it a lot, smells like a designer fragance that it´s unique in it own way

the performance is not the best in the world, ok is a freshy but for the price there are better performing fresh fragances like sauvage and acqua viva

scentsuelle

My local department store had this brand in the men's section of perfumes, thankfully I was in the mood for testing masculine scents. Definitely unisex, including this one. Love it, lemony, mossy, warm, melts into the skin scent rather than screaming perfume. However, this is also the issue - it disappears so fast. About four hours after applying to my wrist I have to sniff hard to smell it. What is still there is beautiful but it's still disappointing.
