top notes of raspberry and purple flowers, lends its way to a powdery musk after about 15 min. I don't really get much patchouli personally, but I definitely get the lipstick/makeup smell. it is very light and feels like an inoffensive night-time perfume (for a first date perhaps?) I haven't tried layering this yet but I could see it adding a nice dimension to other perfumes with violet or iris notes.

Brownsugarx78

I love this funnily enough, it reminds me of the Swizzels love heart sweets. Its adorable, really like the sweetness of this, and it lasts for me. I find its more a spring/summer perfume, it's fruity, powdery and fun. Great for just everyday wear in my eyes. Sillage is not the best but this smells so different to me it's worth a respray.

nelvicious

Very powdery raspberry and violet, almost medicinal and indeed a very mature perfume and smells too serious/bold giving rich middle aged aunt vibes, i do not feel any lipstick resemblance and its far too powdery for my liking.

Open up your fave red lipstick. Thats this scent. Raspberry not sure where that lies in this profile. But you want a smokey, deep lipstick, grab him by the collar come over here sexy scent. This is it. I’ve worn it to work and a date night. Extremely versatile and always an attention grabber.

nhging22

On my skin its kinda like Lost Cherry but without the liquor note. I was expected to get the powdery and iris. It smell like straight old cherry cough syrup and expired molden lipstick. Would be great if you're into dark academic feminine style.
The longevity is okay (3-4hours) but the sillage is no where to be found.

mvddies

Excited to buy and wear this in the warmer months. Usually not a raspberry fan but the combination of juicy raspberry and baby powder/talc/iris is really stunning.

This is literally a bullet of red Dior lipstick in perfume form.

Smells like those luxury classic lipsticks, super realistic to the name. Strong violet and iris scent. The raspberry gives it a bit of close to bubble gum sweetness, and the vanilla brings it all together so well. Super well-blended juice. The name says it all, it smells like hi-end make up. Reminds me a bit of vintage powder scent. Mature powdery scent imo. Definitively not for young people as it maybe be received as "old-fashioned" due to the powdery scent. I live in a hot country in Asia, and asians just EAT THIS UP lmaoo. I have gotten so many compliments from asian women when I wear this to office (co-working space). They love this stuff here as it got this luxury vintage "hi-society" feel to it (smell)

Currently sampling Lipstick Fever and I must say it is not as expected but still a nice fragrances. The title might be a bit misleading as it does not truely resemble a lipstick scent. For a good half n hour I get this nice warm sweet strong raspberry note, which is very pleasant and fun to wear. The raspberry note fades away after one hour on me and leaves a dry Iris and Cedar wood combo, which is not as spectacular for me. If you are looking for a true Lipstick scent, I would recommend Lipstick Rose by FM. But Lipstick Fever is a great raspberry scent in my opinion. This scent lasts a very long time, around 6 h. Might work better for autumn and winter though.

This was a blind buy- love the JHAG line and the notes in this one intrigued me! I have to say that this fragrance has an absolute chokehold on me. I own 100+ perfumes, and find myself choosing this one over and over, as it wears and performs so beautifully!
I get glimmers of a sparkling and effervescent raspberry, with a stony foundation that has a slight touch of the smell of hot pavement when rain first starts to fall. There is no petrichor in the notes, but but that is how it unfolds for me. It is one of the most unusual scents that I own, and definitely my favorite from the line.
I'm wearing it today with Velvet Vanilla from Mancera, and keep catching gorgeous whiffs as I'm on this bouncy school bus chaperoning a Band Competition field trip, lol! So beautiful, and affordable on the gray market.
I do get the lipstick 💄 vibe for sure, think of scented lipsticks, like Estee Lauder or L'Oreal, with a creamy, powdery luxe scent!
This quickly moved into my all time top five, I just love it!!

Ben&Jerry

This one is astonishing from the very first spray until it dies down. Initially I get a classy lipstick from the 1930’s vibe. When smelling it up front it comes off as Intimate and modest, but it’s still very much there! As far as the sillage is concerned I get the feeling that this sends of some ultra feminine and flowery vibes, more so than lipstick per se…?
Anyways, then comes the creamy iris in the heart notes. To me it changes, but not necessarily quality vise. It’s just becoming more flowery and less lipsticky. Perhaps at the hour mark and forwards it becomes a bit more juvenile?
Idk, I just got this beautiful and classy lady wearing white gloves, a dress and a wonderful hat vibes in the first hour and then it changes. I’d say that the opening is the lady from the 30s and the heart notes and base notes pulls her back into her teens. Just my opinion..
I’d say that this is a pleasant and very feminine scent that smells just fabulous! It’s definitely a scent I’ll keep on using from time to time for its own sake. As a man I appreciate all good scents, regardless of the gender it’s prescribed for, and this is most definitely one of them scents to me. It’s high quality! I’m not going to wear this outside though, but I’ll appreciate it whenever I can to pay tribute to the fine craftsmanship that lies behind this fragrance.

Ladies, if you want to turn our heads when you walk by us on the street, then this is it 💄
Lovely scent that would make any cute girl even cuter ❤️

Sillage: 7/10
Longevity: 7/10
Value for Money: 8/10
Age range: first hour: 30~, 1 hour+ : 18-30 yo
Final notes: becomes a bit too flowery and to little lipsticks after a while.

Mlepnos

”Lipstick in a suede bag” indeed as some others have pointed out BUT I would like to add that it differs from other lipsticky scents in the sense that it feels more thin and has a “watercolor” effect to it. Maybe it’s the way the raspberry note is done? I don’t know but it’s not a heavy scent, rather a sheer yet “flavorful” one. The leather note is quite subtle to me. Nice violet note.

Perfect for spring and autumn (I however live in Sweden, so…perfect for winter/early spring/late autumn for the rest of you haha).

It’s gotten me a few compliments as well. Decent sillage and longevity.

Overall, a very nice scent! I’ll buy a bottle soon.

FragnaForever

Girlfriend just got this, id say it smells mature in the way that its very powdery. its a nice scent just reminds me of an older ladys purse type of smell with some sweetness. almost lactonic and vanilla like, despite fragrantica saying this is moderate projection i think it leans more toward the strong category i think 3-5 sprays is plenty, it created a nice long lasting scent bubble. I say this is worth a pickup if your into makeupy sweet scents, i definitely wouldnt wear this in summer.

TabledThoughts

A strong and powdery iris root complimented by raspberry, warmed by vanilla absolut and rounded up by a nonchalant patchouli gives this fragrance a realistic "lipstick in a suede handbag" vibe.
Kinda impressive in scent profile
presentation.
Wears very close to the skin which I think is suitable as this would be perceived as too intrusive if stronger.
Light cedar base blended in nicely as to not drown out the feminine appeal.
Not for me but a valiant conceptual effort.

MareaCamacho

I freaking love this . It blends so well with my chemistry. I happen to love the cedar in here. It layers beautifully with all my other cedar fragrances. Might I add that I appreciate jhag atomizers. They're so lovely to apply. Will repeat purchase.

Serayyaren

What is the logic of adding cedar to this perfume? Eliminate the odor that will go down in history. dramatic.

PolynesianPrincess

So close. I love makeup and the "lipstick" scent, but this one has a sharp note (not sure what it is) but it mixes in with the lipstick scent and it is unpleasant. Glad I only purchased a sample. I did see a full bottle at my local Ross Store for $40.

AlliCat1215

It's OK. The powdery makeup vibe isn't really my thing. Also, I found it disappeared within 15 minutes on me.

eva.daisy.88

I’m disappointed that this doesn’t work with my skin chemistry.
It’s a very sharp cat piss, right from the start. I don’t pick up anything beautiful described by many people before me. For me, it’s screeching with notes not written here - like musk and cassis, really really sharp and not pleasant.
Obviously I can’t fall in love with every JHAG perfume, but this is really much worse than I would have expected.

khawater

I love the tart, sour makeupy sort of raspberry. I've been obsessed with finding the best dark fruity/berry/cherry scents, and in the past several months some of that interest began to focus on finding the perfect, tart red berry scent to layer with more dark, deep, earthy, serious, or masculine-leaning scents to make them suit me more.

I had a JHAG sample set and then months later I bought a 10ml decant of Lipstick Fever. I went a couple years testing it, unsure of whether she's too noticeable for me to wear in my everyday life, how she comes across, and where I stand with her. I have some other "red" scents that I've enjoyed starting with my obsession with BBW Midnight Pomegranate as a young teen (a shame it was discontinued), Banana Republic's Dark Cherry & Amber, TF Lost Cherry, Mugler Angel Nova, and the like.

Then at some point in the last few months, when I realized I really wanted something nice and TART, I was contemplating trying to find a cranberry fragrance--I just needed something that smells like the taste of cranberry juice. I picked up my decant of Lipstick Fever again and realized it was exACTLY what I was craving. The full bottle and I have been together for a little more than a month now and I love layering her to add a pop of color or to boost the berry facets in other fragrances.

Layering Ideas to Try:
- Blackmail by Kerosene -- amp up the dry raspberry campfire smoke w it's bright, sweet tartness

- Ursa by Tiziana Terenzi --damp, animalic, earthy patchouli with dried plum and a fantastic dry down -- uplifts the plum and adds a nice grounded almost bitter edge to the raspberry

- Slow Dance by Byredo -- my wearable, everyday resinous, incense-violet-patchouli muse that hints at having berry, although it isn't listed. Lipstick Fever's violet-raspberry boosts that part when I want it to be a little morrre *wiggles brows*

- Oud for Glory by Lattafa -- Saffron, synthetic oud, patchouli, again with a HINT of something berry-like, that really grounds Lipstick Fever serving as a dark saffrony, incensey base with a beautiful dry down. I bet it would be amazing with Blessed Baraka by Initio

- Arabians Tonka by Montale -- Saffron, tonka, the burnt sugar sort of caramel, that addictive warm dry-down that lasts forever, PLUS adding a tart red berry as a top note to give it a twist?? AbsoLUTELY

- Had an inkling to test my sample of Zuma, 1975 by Thin Wild Mercury right next to a couple sprays of Lipstick Fever a couple hours ago and I'm loving it. Trying to decide if I need a full bottle of Zuma or if I can find something else that has that lovely, sour, zingy, clean coriander-bergamot mixed with this tart red raspberry-violet-iris concoction.

- Decided to test it with Jazz Club by MMM on my other arm maybe half an hour to an hour ago. Take that dark, dry, boozy tobacco and make it more delightfully femme fatale

Fragnautical

who says men can't rock lipstick? well, most people say that, but, you can take solace in the fact that men can definitely rock the scent of lipstick.

the raspberry and cedar compliment each other rather well, which is surprising, since i find cedar to be incompatible with most fruit based combinations.

sillage leaves much to be desired, but, then again, i wouldn't want to walk into someone's house smelling like a sephora or a target beauty section unless given explicit written permission, like a new aged vampire, a fragpire.

jengalang72

Perfect for girls' night out. Lipstick-y, not-too-sweet, feminine, fun. No headache with overspray.

szabó.hédi

I looove this perfume! It does remind me of makeup especially lipsticks, but it also reminds me of my favorite perfume from when I was a teenager called Pussy Deluxe. I feel like this is a more mature version although to be honest I haven’t smelled that one in like ten years. I feel like both are very feminine but PD is for girls and LF is for women. Unfortunately the longevity is weak but not terrible.

Charli3

note to self: the opening of this is the perfect lipstick scent. It’s smells exactly like my Hema matte lipstick I bought in 2014 when I was 12 years old and of which I kept the stub just because of the smell.
The drydown is where lipstick fever loses me. It’s just gross floral with a hint of sour.
We really can’t have it all can we?
The search continues

sashaemily

The initial scent is gorgeous, sweet raspberry jam, powdery, hints of floral- then it dries down to a disgustingly clinical powder scent. Like hospital and baby powder, rather disgusting. About 4 hours after spraying it went back to that sweet delicious raspberry jam scent. Baffling. Doesn't project much but at least I wasn't walking around smelling blatantly of a hospital floor.

Dimmyinthecity

This is a beautiful everyday scent. I wish it had more projection. It very nice and I think it's a very safe blind by.
If you like commodity milk but want a little floral note. I think this is perfect.

wintersong0

This does open with a slightly medicinal fruity scent (not in a bad way) but then settles into an addicting daytime scent. Lasting power ok.

funkadelic15

I'm on the hunt to find a perfume that smells like the Estee Lauder lipsticks of the 2000s, so I'm going through all the popular "lipsticky" perfumes right now.

On first sniff, all I got was cheap makeup. I was sooo disappointed...

But as another reviewer said, the magic really is in the dry down!!! Give this one a chance on your skin. It took about 15-20 minutes for it to properly develop on me, at which point it became this gorgeously fruity slightly floral vanilla with the depth of the woods. At first, I got a lot of cherry, but it developed to the more fresh raspberry. It is soo addictive and intoxicating. Its not not too sweet, but definitely a bit heavy, better suited for night I'd say.

This one is certainly a unique, definitely a highly developing perfume. Great example of a perfume which depends on your skin chemistry. On me, my boyfriend called this a head turner!

LaUna

As a lipstick scent fan I had high hopes for this one. Instead I got plastic and pepper. Tried it on sample paper and it smelled off. On myself, same thing, it amps up on sweetness after some time. Plastic smell reminds me of Gucci Rush.
I agree with some reviewers too, "bottom of a dirty old makeup bag", no thank you.

velvetcherry

After receiving a sample of this in an Ipsy box years ago I finally brought myself to purchasing a bottle and I couldn't be happier. even though i had used up my sampler 3 years ago I knew this was a fragrance I needed in my collection. In the bottle and on the first spray I pick up lipstick and cherry (this is probably the raspberry, I just perceive it more as cherry). Once it is sprayed and dries down a little it becomes so much more complex and beautiful. Creamy, Patchouli and, vanilla all become more developed with time wearing this beauty. If you are a rose lover this perfume compliments a rose scent very well. Absolutely worth $60 for 3.3 oz. I do think this shines in colder weather and might be a little heavy for a signature scent. Beautifully crafted scent with just the right amount of complexity.

mutmiu

Sweet, fruity opening, then dries down fast to an iris-patchouli-amber (in this case is more like amboxan) fragrance, which is dry, suede-like, and mildly powdery. The rasberry note adds some sweetness to the perfume, for me this is not a particularly fruity fragrance at all. The iris is waxy, lipsticky, makeup-like scent, proper for the name. The late drydown is a bit sweeter because of the lurking vanilla which is not so obvious, just adds an underlying sweet finish. The fragrance is more mature - but not "old-lady", it's a real modern creation - than its marketing suggests.

mvddies

This was a really pleasant surprise! As someone who loves the scent of MAC lipsticks, I was dying to try this out but was surprised to find out how controversial of a scent it is upon testing it. The raspberry in this is really sweet but the juiciness is cut through by the powdery iris, resulting in a really pleasant scent that I do not think is too much of a novelty scent! This is definitely super wearable.

augustine0901

Leans masculine on me. Woody and leathery. Smells of oud, patchouli, and bourbon. It’s not a floral, fruity fragrance on me. I get a whiff of the lipstick scent, but it’s not powdery-sweet like a MAC lipstick. Not suitable for warm and humid climate. Not a subtle scent.

Sillage is mid to low. Longevity is about 3 hours on me. It’s an okay fragrance. It’s not my cup of tea as of now. I don’t think it’s a safe blind buy, unless you like woody, leathery, oud fragrances. I’d give it a 3/5. I don't think I'd purchase a full-size bottle.

Note: fragrance experience is subjective as it depends on body chemistry, climate, and personal preference. I am from a tropical and maritime country with relatively high temperature, high humidity, and abundant rainfall.

Berrycake

Not my fav.. really weak and easily becomes boring.

VioletScented

To me, this scent perfectly captures what it smells like to walk through a department store cosmetics department during the holidays. The smell of of makeup mixed with a bunch of different perfume. I can't speak for longevity and sillage as I have only sampled, but I really enjoy this for the nostalgia it evokes.

FlowerSeeker

It’s fine. A little fruity, a little powdery, a little vintage. Doesn’t last very long. Unisex. I’m passing it along to my mom.

Rangel7

This one is pure powder perfection, right up there with those super expensive lipsticky scents.

It's like a bouquet of raspberry, violet, and iris, all coming together to give it this wonderfully feminine character. It's like stepping into a time capsule of vintage makeup.

Now, here's the catch - it's not a long-lasting lingerer. Like a quick whirlwind romance, it turns into a skin scent pretty fast, and there's not much sillage either. It's what I'd call an egoist perfume; you can only catch a whiff if you're super close to the person wearing it. But for those fleeting moments, it's pure sexiness and nostalgia, a genuine pleasure for the senses.

ShaunMichael

This smells like a cheap grandmas purse. Again. Another gimmicky marketing product from JHAG. I’m not impressed w this house -aside from
Vanilla vibes.

unwrappedsonnyangel

fruity floral soda. it smells like how the Raspberry Rose Poppi tastes. not something i'd reach for, but it's an enjoyable wear for me!

jenniart1819

Not a fan of this scent. I gave it a shot, but it just doesn’t smell good on my skin has a weird plastic scent.

benwia87

A very strong raspberry scent up front with very light floral and vanilla hints. I love fruity perfumes, but I am not as big of a fan of berry fruit scents; I find them to be a bit heavy, somewhat immature, and unsophisticated sents that can be headache-inducing. I actually don't mind this one; it is a lovely scent, but just not for me.

Rjhuggi

Ditto Raiza1990! Its nice but I perfer more projecting drier Iris or Orris Root fragrance, think Xerjoff Fatal Charme. Now that's an expensive gooey french red lipstick scent 💄 💋 😍

mechawitch

it's impressive how this smells EXACTLY like the stale, dusty bottom of a make up bag, no joke. i can't detect any raspberry or iris. it is really not my cup of tea.

DaintyEssence

literally lipstick.. but an old one.
smells like a makeup bag with lipsticks, eyelashers, and etc decorative cosmetics products that was laying untouched for a loooooong time. that have never been used 🤣 bag that just need to throw in trash can.. exactly where this scent belong.
dislike it is.
if we talk about notes: powdery, some flowers..
raspberry(appear after dry down) is trying SOOO desperately to lift up this scent in my mind but all in waste. old make up bag scent... no way anyone wanna smell like this???!!!!

luanneog

Plasticky, powdery and sweet. Smells like makeup bag. I could smell the violet but not the raspberry. Not for me.

Esna

Smells like red lipstick whilst sipping a cold can of Sprite; very nice. Wish it lasted longer and had better projection.

p.kalamaja

I am HOOKED on the drydown on this one. It’s vanilla and Cedar but doesn’t smell like either, just a very unique blend that really sticks with me. I like most of the other JHAGS, but this is the one I will buy at some point once I use up most of my other 60+ fragrances.

amantedelte

I tried Lipstick fever as part of the JHAG sample set, it really stood out to me.
It initially has a balanced sweet & sour but sultry start, and settles down into a powdery/earthy/ sweet aroma.
This is my husbands personal favourite, a date night or special occasion scent. This sexy scent, kind of reminds me of a more modern Coco Mademoiselle - without the headache inducing factor.
I like to layer this on top of "Not a perfume" which makes it last a lot longer.

brainrott

such a delicious scent im absolutely obsessed with it. definitely smells like a mac lipstick only issue it doesnt last very long on my skin

sophiezzz

If this had any longevity I would buy multiple bottles and make it my signature scent. I love lipstick perfumes – Frederick Malle Lipstick Rose, Replica Lipstick On – they're so feminine and old-fashioned but also weird and unconventional. Less vanilla than cedar, and less powdery than my comparison scents. It has a lot of raspberry, which can read juvenile if you don't like a fruity scent. But I'm obsessed with it.

raiza1990

On my skin, it smells more like lipgloss than lipstick. It smells a bit juvenile, but it’s not bad. After some minutes, i get a general make up smell. It’s pleasant but i was expecting more.

Marlinte

Longevity very weak.
So way to expensive.

Shan101beauty

Pretty powdery scent. It is definitely reminiscent of old lipstick scents. The only issue is it does not last, after a while i can barely smell it.

frag_nostalgia

Wore today -- I enjoy this smell so completely. A soft, make-uppy iris with a sweet violet note resting on a backdrop of JHAG's NAP Superdose. Just barely enough vanilla to remind me of my coveted lipstick -- MAC Russian Red💄. Such a comforting, womanly scent I will never tire of.

Strawberrythinking...

I was not expecting to like this. It's a very feminine raspberry powdery sweet fragrance with a beautiful woody undertone. Honestly, it's gorgeous. It is simultaneously girlish and refined. One of the best scents I think I have ever smelled. I totally get the 'lipstick' or 'makeup' note, but it's light. It's good for casual wear and gives me 'signature scent' vibes. I agree with people saying it doesn't last very long SUPER unfortunately but holds up better in summer. Such an intoxicating balance between sweet and sultry, I just love it!

amanda0727

I am a sucker for lipsticky scents, and this smells just like a lipstick, nothing more. However, this sits real close to the skin, so not compelling enough to purchase.

reginasiena

When I tried this on warmer weather, I never touch it again. I try to use it in winter and it's amazing. The opening was very fruity, not too much just perfect. Iris and powdery notes sneaking slowly and it became make sense, bold and feminine. Lipstick Fever is retro but modern in some way. Cedar is stronger than the vanilla, somehow I smell coloring pencil smell but I don't mind. The sweetness of raspberry will stay softly in skin in dry down. Sillage is good. Longevity somehow good in winter. I willl wear this in classical concert night.

Patchy_baby

I have Lipstick Fever, Lipstick On and Lipstick Rose, because I love powdery Iris scents. Lipstick Fever leans towards a fruiter profile than the other two. It's sweet and playful, and not a cosy vintage make-up scent. The cedar in the dry down is masculine-leaning.

Lorel51

I love the scent but is literally gone after 20mins. Just a waste of money.

bel.gravia

Soft girly and juicy raspberry. If you are looking for a powdered lipstick scent go for Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose.
Lipstick Fever is well done, lovely, but doesn't last. I'd be happy to receive it as a gift but I'd never spend on it.

Atinythrowaway

To me it smells exactly like the perfume/makeup section of the duty free, which is nice when you're in the duty free but not as a perfume.

Ghadah02

It is not for me, but nothing is wrong with this, it might be nice to people who love warm scents.

why did I not pay attention to the word fever haha I saw lipstick and I got excited. but no it's more like a warm cozy lipstick. it's a little mature as well.

joikgirl

This smells like a lipstick, a vintage lipstick that has stayed on the shelf for years now and has gone bad by this point- but in a good way. Its a likeable perfume, its powdery if you want that makeup powdery scent. You can also get violet deep within.

Def not a blind buy and hard to wear in my opinion.

Marie76

I went for this blind buy thinking it would be just like the now discontinued Dhalia Noir from Givenchy, with its powdery, feminine iris and rose and the beautiful berry top note... Nope. To my nose this is a cherry sticky sweet, addictive, but in no way elegant and there's no true powderiness here, it's more of a buttery lipstick artificial smell, with a musky depth very reminiscent of the Narcisso Rodriguez rose musk perfume...Very young, very nocturnal, too in your face stiletto boots sexy for me. It has very good longevity and projection. I always like to support the perfume that goes against the tide, but this is a no for me.

dancingquing

For some reason, the smell only reminds me of a Sephora shop, but more specifically old Sephora eyeshadow palettes that you find again after years, thinking that you have lost it, with half the colors crushed and their powder getting all over your hands and making you sneeze. Very nostalgic, for sure, but I personally wouldn’t wear it !

fantomette

Yummy ! This smells like very sweet violet candy and vintage makeup. Not what I’d usually be into but it’s really good ! The raspberries are very gourmand and creamy here, kind of like raspberry syrup and cream, whilst the iris and patchouli definitely give it a slightly earthy vibe. To me, this is a very feminine coquette scent with a dirty twist. Overall, it does smell like lipstick. Definitely worth a try, I will need to try more makeup inspired fragrances !

Lipstick Fever by Juliette Has a Gun -my review: Picture this... on a Greek island, you have just returned to your sandy spot after a swim in the mediterranean blue waters. The sun is warming your tanned skin while you eat juicy raspberries to sate your hunger while still dripping wet. A guy next to you has just reapplied sunscreen from a spray bottle and your nose gets tickly from the scent in the air and all of a sudden you realize how much yummier raspberries are when you enjoy them by the beach...hem. And yes, maybe later that evening you applied a lipstick with that lipsticky scent to stargaze the starry sky. (I do like it, a lot.)

Elena3656

This smells EXACTLYYY like vintage makeup, or a lipstick that my mum has kept for a very very long time, and thats why I dislike it/ots not sth I want to smell like. Or even some nowdays lipsticks/make up that have that very lipsticky kind of old smell/formulation. I guess this is just not for me, because thats supossed to be the idea of this parfume and those who would buy it are into that .The name choise was not random :P

ristretto

The first time I wore this? No. I couldn't get rid of it no matter how hard I tried, I washed it off and scrubbed, and still every time I raised my hands I was overpowered by the scent of leather. It tormented me for an entire day and when it finally came off, I vowed to never put myself through that again.

Curiosity did however end up getting the best of me, and I tried again. And again. And while I think this isn't a perfume that "fits" me, it definitely is a perfume I ended up falling in love with. It's unique, comforting and slightly nostalgic. Makes me feel like i'm sitting inside an old vanity case.

So my advice is, if you wore this once and hated it as I did, try again. Try again twice or three times if you must. Give yourself the chance to be surprised.

Catanac

Quite disappointed with the longevity of this fragrance, it dissipates after ten minutes. I wish they’d make an extreme more intense version, then I’d buy a full bottle. I so wanted to find Replica Lipstick On, but the prices on eBay are outrageously high. FM Lipstick Rose on the hand is pricy but it’s a large bottle and it lasts 8hrs on me, I sprayed it once and instantly fell in love with it.

Electra89

I don’t find there any violets but I detect ugly plastic scent. Big NO!

Siv7Stars

Immediate kneejerk reaction - Get it off! Off! Off! Was not expecting so much synthetic sweaty wood. It's offical boxed sample size so idk. I was expecting typical make-up vibes a la Guerlain et al. This is just no thank EW.
Smells like every other damn offering, full of the zeitgeist compound ambroxan or whatever version of the same type of stuff. Overpoweringly. Can we have some other ingredients invented purleease?? At this point I do not care how bad for me they are, I'll take long term damage over immediate nasal burns thanks.
Back for a more considered opinion later maybe, when I'm in the mood for a challenge.

Nashira.torres

Beautiful rasberry, powdery, lipstick scent! I had a travel size and ordered the full size right away.

pluralfern

to my nose, this is a combination of the smell of a brand new car and Crayola crayons. nauseatingly plastic and waxy. a total scrubber.
I really wanted to like this, but unfortunately so many JHAG scents and I just don't get along :(

SaltyVanilla

In this fragrance I mostly detect strong clean woods, particularly cedar, and dry powdery florals. Unfortunately I don’t really pick up the raspberries. I could smell the raspberry note a bit from the atomizer before spraying but on my skin it’s all wood and powder. This fragrance is very dry to my nose, I could only detect a slight hint of vanillic sweetness in the dry down but it was very feint. I would say this is a good choice for those who prefer a very dry scent. Good news however for baby powder haters like me, this is not like baby powder at all. It’s more like chewing on an unsweetened, slightly floral tums, while standing next to a wood pile in the open air. I don’t mean that in a bad way, I kind of enjoy the thick textured nosefeel of the powder here. While I found it to be ok on its own I really enjoyed it best when I paired it with Kayali Vanilla 28 to bring in just a touch more sweetness and warmth. I found this to have decent longevity lasting 5-6 hours on my skin and my wife reported they could smell me when stepping into a small room with me.

Soledad89

I was hoping to catch a whiff of the raspberry but it's overpowered by the iris and patchouli. Normally I would be disappointed, but I gave it a few more minutes and was rewarded with a luscious scent of the blended notes. Lipstick Fever made me appreciate iris as a note in fragrances. I just wish it lasted longer and had stronger projection.

msandersen

I like this. I like what it's trying to do. But I only joined this forum to add another voice that is saying that unfortunately, this is not the wonderful, wonderful Lipstick On by Mason Margiela (Replica series), which was unfortunately discontinued, for reasons beyond me.
Lipstick Fever is much fruitier and a little sharper and unfortunately not as sexy and quietly glamorous.
But it isn't bad either. Just a little less sexy and more for a summer day.
I disagree on the critique on the longevity though. This fragrance seems to last forever on me.

Shaina87

This is and MMMM.. are my favorites from this house. Lipstick Fever is a sweet, powdery and woodsy raspberry with vanilla as the base. It's feminine and soft but also strong. Such a beautiful scent. Longevity is lacking though. I usually use this as a bedtime scent. I find it comforting.

Herwitchinesss

note: I'm currently dealing with the end of a migraine so my nose is extra sensitive to scents right now; I'll update later if anything changes but usually this is a good time to review scents.

This was a wonderful reminder on how scent ties so strongly to memories & how perfumes in general are perceived by what one associates with the notes rather than universally good or bad.

The very first spray of this brings me back to opening my sister's purse during service, searching for a mint or something else & being hit by the scent of various cosmetics from the 90s. I can just barely pick out a vague berry note by itself due to how well blended this scent is. Usually, picking notes is something that I find easy but so far, this fragrance has eluded me.

After about ten minutes, it settles into a true to it's name tube of new lipstick, creme formula or maybe a matte but definitely not anything glossy. It makes me think of MAC's Russian Red in colour though it's more generic lipstick in scent (in a very good way!). This one I'm probably going to purchase in a full bottle if only because it is so strongly evoking memories in my brain. If you like lipstick scents and/or grew up in the late 80s to early 00s, this is definitely a scent to try at the very least.

Vellocet

I love powdery perfumes therefore is iris one of my favourite notes. This was quite meh. It’s definitely powdery in that lipsticky way, so the name is spot on. But I don’t like the patchouli note in here, it steals the show. And the longevity was surprisingly bad. Around 3 hours on my skin.

whisperology

As a 90's kid, this smells like my mom getting ready in the bathroom.

Opening smells like straight up lipstick, a whiff of a messy 90's makeup bag. The middle smells like that, combined with a nice hairspray. Not everyone's cup of tea, but definitely mine.

On my skin it's not long lasting at all, but pretty beast mode on clothes.

It smells like a beautiful woman who's all done up.

hnfred

I never understood what people meant when they talked about lipstick/makeup scents, but if this is what it is then it’s definitely not for me. I don’t know if it’s intended or if it’s just my skin, but it goes beyond sour and is a bit sickening to me.

femmefumes

Smells a bit like Dr Pepper but better. I know Christmas is near but this is like a Christmas time fragrance for me.

cowboyfuel

Stale, candied florals. Generic woodsy, powdery, waxy musk. There’s some tartness from the raspberry, but I wouldn’t call it sour. It’s mostly sweet. Lipstick On is better. Smells like every other JHAG fragrance. Doesn’t smell like lipstick. Very bitter.

LGRP

This is a sweet & sour, woody, and powdery raspberry. It is delicious. It lasts on my skin for 7 to 8 hours with an arm-length projection and a moderate sillage for 4 to 5 hours, after that is a skin scent that you will be able to smell for the rest of the fragrance duration. The performance increases for an hour on clothing. I will repurchase.

ponderingscents

This was a surprising love for me. Out of the pack of little JHG perfumes, this one stood out the most to me. I thought Vanilla Vibes or Moscow Mule would be the winner but it was this one. I loved it so much that I bought the full-size bottle. People say it smells like a lipstick tube, you know I don't get that too much, but I can put myself in someone else's nostrils and see their point. A lot of people say they get the lipstick but I personally get the fever aspect. When I spray it on my neck, it feels like a hot kiss against my neck. It feels like I have to check my neck for a hot pink kiss mark after I spray it. And I have to say it lasts a long time on me, but I'll catch whiffs of it throughout the day. If I had to say a season, I would say summer but I think this could be a day/night perfume but more emphasis on night.

But why do I like this perfume? Well for one, think of a really bougie candy store that only sells artisanal candy. This perfume smells like if that candy store sold artisanal Sweet Tarts. I don't even like sweet tarts like that but I love this. Another reason I enjoy this perfume, which may not be for everyone, is this is what I imagined THEE It Scene Girl wore. Rich scene girl who always had her hair and makeup done, impeccable scene girl fashion that I always dreamed of having as a tween, and she always had tickets to Warped Tour. But it's JHG so it's got that edge to it, like that scene girl is no longer in high school but she's got a 401k, she swapped the Hello Kitty book-bag for a hot pink Valentino bag.

Freyaskywalker

Super realistic lipstick perfume. Straight like smelling a bullet you just bought. Which is a good thing for me as this was what I was looking for. Did not give it a “love it” just because I wished it lasted and projected more. It’s pretty intimate and gone way too soon. A pity. I will continue looking for the perfect lipstick perfume

Pat_Chouli

This is my favorite of the lipstick/makeup accord genre of scents of those I've tried so far. Some of them are too sharp and "old fashioned" smelling (imo Lipstick On by MMM), but this one is very balanced with the raspberry lending softness and some sweetness to composition. The lipstick accord isn't as photorealistic and in your face as Lipstick Rose by Frederic Malle but it's still there. Lipstick Fever smells just like the bottom of an old 90s makeup bag that also stored packets of raspberry lifesavers. So I recommend this fragrance if you're looking to try that old school makeupy scent profile but can't tolerate unisex or vintage scents.
*The longevity and sillage here are poor. After three hours I can only smell this if my nose is literally against my wrist. Because of this I'll only buy a FB if I can find a good discount.
*Also this smells really similar to Lolita Lempicka.

PerfumeForLainy

Lots of iris, the type that gives off the cooked carrot undertones and not much else, realy.
I'm testing in the cold season and the air is very dry, revealing the sharpest notes, still I have sprayed the whole 2 ml on myself and there is very little to report, the scent is nonexistant within 15-30 minites.
It might be better in a more humid weather, but it is doubtfull.

opining.olfaction

It's a NO for me.
I mean...it's a barely there, extra faint raspberry-esque and synthetic sweet like smell on me.
I have tried to rock it at different points/seasons - but unfortunately, I just can't get much out of it...if anyone is interested - let me know. It's a 1.7oz bottle w/ a few sprays missing.

viktorijavla

Where is the lipstick?
Smells like another ambroxan perfume...

hellborn_animal

I'm super surprised. NEST Golden Nectar is what I assumed this would smell like.
On paper, this definitely smells very "cosmetic" with a hint of the raspberry upon initial spray (which doesn't hang around.)
On my skin however, I get a skin scent version if MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold! The only similar notes in the two are vanilla and woods, so I have no idea how I'm getting similar vibes. Very odd.

chuuka

synthetic lipstick scent, so femenine

hola gigi

I actually liked this! However, the performance is beyond poor. The scent consists of a little raspberry, then literal lipstick. A few woody accords linger in the background. Intriguing name, bottle, & concept.... Delightful in a nostalgic way. Doesn't last over an hour though!

perfume_angel

Smells amazing! So sweet, and lipsticky and makeupy! But seriously it disappears within a few minutes it’s so upsetting. It’s probably the weakest fragrance I have ever come across.

Evte

I actually get sweet pear as the key note from this one. Beautiful, intimate fragrance, really wish it lasted longer. Overall the scent is easy on the nose, nothing too complex.

Male review:

I don't like all these brands and niche houses which offer perfumery based primarily on aroma-chemicals and price it very highly. However, the perfumer here manipulated with aroma-chemicals very nicely. Not overly complex, synthetic, very modern, light, airy, clean and sweet perfumery. Absolutely Iso E Super and Ambroxan based, this is an Ambroxan monster. Fruit accord on the top reminds me red berries in some degree, it gives that "raspberry" vibe. Raspberry ketones and Ionones and Vanillin probably give here that light, powdery "iris like" facet. Maybe also clean Musks were used here in the base to smooth the formulation (Galaxolide, for example). Very sweet and clean fruity formulation with light and airy qualities. It should be absolutely linear and very versatile. I think, it will turn my head, when a girl will wear it. So damn sexy smell..,to be honest. I think it is slightly overpriced. I recommend this perfume to girls and women who love modern and light perfumery - Le Labo, Baccarat Rouge 540 or Byredo style. It is nicely built.

Stoicchild

Probably my most favorite one out of the entire range, but it's so weak! So not worth the price.

TedPoulson

I’m a dude, and I love this fragrance. The Raspberry and Iris are definitely the stand out notes for me. I’m a huge fan of “lipsticky” Iris scents like Gentlemen EDP, and the old Dior Homme. To me it has that same Iris smell, just mixed with raspberry. It does lean very feminine at first but once it dries down a little bit it’s definitely more unisex on my skin. Don’t be afraid to sample this if you’re a dude and you like Iris fragrances. It also lasts 8+ hours for me and doesn’t project too heavy which I like.

DS9Dax

Love this. It smells like a classic but updated. I get some berry and “synthetic ” but not in a bad way at all. It’s fun and lively.

sqcox

Smells like ruined grandma's lipstick. Jhg is very bad at fragrances without molecules

banjerine

raspberry cough drops, melty pink lipstick, stale bubblegum. Smells like 2002, like the inside of a particularly glamorous auntie’s purse, like being 12 years old and yearning to know all those feminine secrets you’re not quite privy to yet but can vaguely guess at.

masonmarie

I'm young enough that I didn't start wearing makeup until after the traditional "lipstick" scent was phased out (brag), so my take has nothing to do with the inspiration. I like the raspberry here, it pulls jammy instead of saccharine, and the ambroxan gives it sexy underpinnings. I loved the sample I sprayed on myself, and kept smelling it throughout the day even though I'd (I know) also sprayed other samples on other parts of my body. Was alarmed to check this page and see how everyone seems to hate it. I don't love JHAG's branding honestly, and none of the other scents have stood out to me, but I'm excited to incorporate this as a fruity skin scent to sit alongside my floral skin scent (diptique fleur de peau) and skin-skin scent (another 13).

I'm very excited to explore more lipstick frags, and I loved Matt Morris' roundup article of them, too!

Pasta Crood

Cheap Victoria secret perfume like if you went to a salon filled with basics. The smell of all the cheap perfumes blown around and steamed by blow dryers. Cheap hairspray wofting in the air with the smell of clumps of hair.

likesleet

fine! powdery, sweet & fleeting

charstar97

After trying this on in-store I had to order a travel vial to test it out more. An extremely intriguing scent that shifts beautifully within an hour of wearing it. It starts at the top with a sweet, tangy violet note which lasts about 20 minutes on the skin. Then, the iris-patchouli magic starts shining through to create an almost leathery note. Reminds me of diptyque's Eau Rihla in terms of the beautiful leather, new car smell (might sound odd, but it's highly addictive). The sweet cedarwood base gives it that gourmand finish that is absolutely fabulous.

The name of this scent definitely mirrors the feeling it gives. When wearing it, I feel I am in a 1950's powder room reapplying lipstick and powdering my face before stepping out to order a cocktail at the bar filled with fruity liquors. This scent is truly old-world glam: bold, rich femininity in a bottle.

If you wear diptyque's Fleur de Peau during the day, try layering this with it in the evening too amplify the clean, powdery iris scent and inject it with some sultriness.

dharastover

Barely there, sweet and powdery. Not offensive but not particularly....present either. I think this may last longer on others, for me all it needed was a gust of wind to take this with it. Worth trying if you like JHAG

LanaDelSlay

Did nothing for me. Too faint of a smell, vanishes too

Cmlake89

I've witnessed perfume snobs hate on this fragrance. I know where they are coming from when they say many JHAG fragrances are sharp. However, this fragrance uses that sharpness as an effective carrier and does soften decently. JHAG is established on ambroxan; If you don't like it don't buy their fragrances. This fragrance is a decent price range for a lipstick smelling perfume. On first spray I wish I could tack the smell down and have it all day. The first spray is raspberry and lipstick (imagine you're about to eat a soft-as-skin raspberry right from the fridge and you have just finished your makeup). That is the most beautiful part of this whole fragrance! It eventually morphes from the fruity makeup to a soft woodsy lipstick scent for about 2 hours. From there it transitions to the base. I'm not as fond of the base with the fresh woodsy carriers but they arent offensive. They serve their purpose for a few hours but then outlast the lipstick and raspberry. Truly a lovely scent for its price range and not so sharp that it's headache inducing.

Snob Smells

This scent reminds me of the Dr.Pepper Lip Smackers flavor....and yes I want to smell like it lol!!!

This raspberry note is one of the few that doesn't turn sour on my skin. I love it...definitely one of my signature scents.

meredithxx

It truly smells like the inside of a makeup bag, if that appeals to you. 🤷🏻♀️

sarahtheperfumelover

This smells like a makeup bag in the 90s filled with a bunch of talc-based Max Factor makeup that is heavily used and at least a year old-with an open bag of those Allen raspberry candies nestled in there for later. Not sure how I feel about this. I’ll edit later.

Enrium

I am working my way through a JHAG discovery set, and so far I'm not very taken with this brand in general. It has its moments, but most of their scents are very synthetic, which I just find unpleasant, even if it is the whole point. I had high hopes for Lipstick Fever, as I have a soft spot for a good lipstick accord in all its powdery/waxy violet-rose glory. Unfortunately, this ain't it. In a nutshell, LF consists of a few synthetically sweet, syrupy fruit notes choked by a heavy, grey cloud of ambroxan.

LF opens with what reminds me of diet cherry soda, sweetened with aspartame. Syrupy, coulis-like raspberry joins it, but instead of being jammy, it is very dry. Ambroxan is present from the beginning, adding its distinctive, synthetic haze. Some powdery vanillin and a hint of violet emerge, along with the merest hint of patchouli. Still, ambroxan and the syrupy-yet-dry cherry-berry accord dominate until it fades. Nothing about this says "lipstick" to me.

Sillage and longevity are moderate, but I find this quite unpleasant, and the ambroxan is headache-inducing after a while. Too synthetic and linear for me. No lipstick to be had here, nor any redeeming qualities either. 1/5.

yurkin

Kinda self explanatory but.. if you don't like make up and lipstick scent.. you won't like that so get a sample first! Because it's kinda hyped on YouTube, but all those people most likely like powdery, make up and lipstick scents xD saying that as I almost blind bought it and it would have been a flop.

Scent is pretty straightforward waxy lipstick with raspberry (think carbonated drink) opening, dry down is waxy lipstick + Juliette has a gun DNA (think Not a Perfume / Not a Perfume Superdose)

Edit: idk how and why but I fell in love with the scent.

amg7613

It smells like the tobacco your grandfather put in his pipe upon initial spray. It must be the fruity raspberry with the earthy patchouli. After the perfume settles, the waxy iris and ambroxan start to come out. Very light, it only lasts about half an hour on me. It’s not a perfume I would reach for, but I wouldn’t be disappointed if I had blind bought it, either.

MiaKlark

This was a pleasant surprise, it doesn't really scream lipstick. It opens with a nice bright raspberry note and patchouli. Then the iris and violet come into play but it blends beautifully with the raspberry. It's more or less linear but its lovely. It does feel a bit grown for me (I'm 21) but I love it, I think I'll come back to it later, maybe when I start working

jaclyndp

Lipstick Fever = 2 parts Eternity Intense + 1 part Pacifica Himalayan Patchouli Berry + 1 part Mancera Instant Crush

frag_nostalgia

I'm genuinely surprised that no one has compared this to the original 1997 Lolita Lempicka until now. The openings are very similar with violet and iris; just trade the cherry and ivy in Lolita for the synthetic raspberry and patchouli of Lipstick Fever, then minus the anise. The drydowns on the other hand are quite different. Lipstick stays rather linear, whereas Lolita has more of a depth and complexity with it's unique and lush green ivy and anise/liquorice notes. I love them both, but if your only complaint about Lipstick Fever is the patchouli, I recommend going for L.L. in the purple bottle (it's also less than half the price).

sammydaniels

I see where it was going with the lipstick scent, but unfortunately I can't get past the patchouli.

jeannebelmondo

Opens as a sharply artificial cherry lip gloss that mellows down into something that resembles more of a powdery and waxy lipstick scent. It's not nearly as beautiful, complex, long lasting or well-blended as Lipstick On, but it's still genuinely pretty and worth a try if you can find it on discount, though it is a much more linear and anemic comparison and not worth full price of a bottle.

Lipstick On is a buxom, Old Hollywood, fatty, waxy and buttery rich violet iris lipstick and this is a little more plastic and fruity, reminiscent of play makeup, Bonne Bell chapsticks and one dollar aloe vera lipsticks from your local beauty supply. I like that too, but it's a less elegant and sensual thing to smell like. I'd consider a decant if I wasn't already lucky enough to experience the former.

The dry down (which starts about an hour in) leans more towards unscented chapstick than lipstick -- very beeswax-y, synthetic woods, iso e super that kind of thing. Lasts about 6 hours on me. A tepid like but not a love.

kkaattjjeess

I think this smells quite nice, I didn't have expectations as I'm not a fan of lipstick scents anyway, and am just sampling this for fun.

Indeed not entirely reminiscent of just a lipstick, because it's too fruity for that. Seems very weak and fleeting.

Sully92

I'm not getting what others are getting AT ALL. I'm getting a peppery note in the opening (no pepper listed though) and then a dirty patchouli dry down with maybe a touch of raspberry. I'm not getting any iris whatsoever which I'm so sad about. This smells nothing like lipstick on me. It smells like a sweaty man who has been working in blistering heat and dirt all day. This kind of patchouli doesn't work on my skin at all.

Projection is moderate, can't say much about the longevity because I scrubbed it off after 2 hours but I will say it's hard to wash off! This one is not for me.

emjh

This isn't very lipstick-y in my opinion. Not enough violet and the patchouli comes through too much on my skin. It's nice, it's just not the scent I was hoping for and it doesn't last long at all, 1-2 hours.

mrshnchnkm

For me, this perfume smells like a tutti-frutti scented lip balm and mock raspberry champagne. Sweet, fruity, juicy, but there is a powdery note, which is very reminiscent of the old lip balm. In general, the perfume is okay for every day, but I do not like the smell of lip balm on me.

strongerwithglue

Powdery and subtly sweet. Nice.

Iris128

I get the raspberries and the vanilla and an overall... well, lipstick kind of smell. I am not very excited about the waxiness but it doesn't bother me too much either. It does give me a mild headache if i overspray it.

Danadoo

I really like this one! It has a vintage feel to it, and is perfect when I'm wearing my favorite dress, stockings and heels. It makes me feel glamorous in a Marilyn Monroe kind of way.

leafia

when I first spray this on myself, it is literally everything I want in a lipstick fragrance. it’s powdery, make-uppy and sweet, and it has that particular waxy vibe that lipsticks have and that I love. it pains me so much because if only that initial sweetness would stay longer, then this would be a huuuuge love for me. but it disappears after barely a minute, and I can’t put my finger on the exact note that takes its place but whatever it is it is turning me off. instead of a soft, pretty, powdery lipstick it becomes an old, stale lipstick that’s been left to collect dust in a drawer for fifty years. I can’t say for sure but I suspect that it could be the pungency of the patchouli that shines through a little too much for my tastes. it’s still good enough to use up, but alas, the sorrow remains.

AneG

After a few minutes it reminds me to lipstick but out of all JHG perfumes, this one is the least favourite. Maybe I am not at all a fan of high concentrations of patchouli.

cjlewis

I was honestly surprised how much it really does smell like lipstick. Especially the waxy and kind of rubbery smell, sort of like crayons melted in the car, with a touch of sour from the raspberry and slight powder. My question is, while it doesn't smell necessarily bad, why would you want to smell like this?

Cherry_Darling

As far as make up bag scents go, which are usually not my thing, this is one of the best ones I have smelled. The cedar, which normally puts me off as it' sharp is piercing here too but somehow here it just works - makes it masculine in a hormonal, pheromonal way, not dissimilar to the pheromonal musky way Alexandra II is in Xerjoff. Which is one of my faves of the line so thumbs up here too. Smells musky, a little dirty, tart from the raspberry and powdery with the iris. It is a bit more of an orris root than iris (probably just the raspberry making it a tad soure-ish.) To me this is really nice, fresh, niche, musky, unique, not vintage at all and not your typical bodoir bla.

tunya

Another one from Juliette has a gun that to me ends up smelling like a cheap, sour men's perfume. Not much development on the skin. I like my lipstick notes in iris based scents but this doesn't do it for me.

meganlamode

Lipstick Fever reminds me of a darker version of Glossier You. It's a little sweeter from the raspberry, but I find the iris to be strong in both of them. I don't know if my nose loves the "darker" notes of patchouli and cedar in this scent specifically. It's hard for me to describe, but something about Lipstick Fever goes straight to the back of my nose/throat and does not settle well. I'm also often sensitive to vanilla, and while I can't pick up on the note here, I wonder if that's what's going wrong for me. Overall, I like some aspects of Lipstick Fever but I'd rather wear something lighter if I'm going for that lipstick/makeup smell.

Pilikins

On me this smells absolutely nothing like lipstick. Instead I get very strong tobacco / oud (a very unpleasant rendition) leading to a migraine. No powdery violet or anything resembling it. Obviously this does different things on different skin. Absolute scrubber for me so please test this first.

feralasparagus

This actually smells like lipstick in liquid form. I... don't know why I like this, but I do. I feel like lipstick isn't a scent I gravitate toward, but this is kind of awesome.

RavensRedd

I like powdery makeup type smells so I was excited to try this. But unfortunately my nose can’t get past the patchouli. I think I have a superpower of sniffing out patchouli which is sad because I can’t stand patchouli. Glad I just got the travel size.

KaitlynL

I love the way this is powdery and sweet but has that makeup-like waxiness while remaining soft.
BUT it doesn't last. I sometimes overspray just so it'll stick with me for longer than 2 hours.

I still think I might buy a full-sized bottle one day though, I really love this.

jayanna

deliciousss but not what i really want to smell like

Whitesensation

Fruity, scratchy opening.
Drydown is very quick.
Soft and beautiful powderness.
It does resemble lipstick scent with a hint of crayon.
It does smell a bit synthetic, but that is not bad at all.

mirisfrik

Lipstick fever didn’t do it’s magic with My skin. It’s both - bit disappointing and bit beautiful. To explain this in detail, let’s start with the opening which is absolutely stunning. Such powdery lipstick scent that puts me back in the 1980s when my mum used to wear such smelly lipsticks (and we kids stole it all the time. Yuck, i can steel feel the afertaste they had😃). It is also very similar to what I remember Shalimar Parfum Initial used to smell like. This evokes instant love i developed for the smell. Lovely lovely lovely 2 hours.
And then it starts to change. The best i can put together that it smells lavander balmy ( which is weird as no lavandel is listed in the notes). Really similar (or at least the same DNA) Burberry Brit rhythm. Altough BBR is one of My favourites, JHAG LF smelling the same is such waste of money. If I wanted to smell like BBR (and I do, and also managed some back-up bottles) I wouldn’t have bought 100€ JHAG perfume.
This BBR face also lasts like 2 hours and then it Turns to Soft floral-sweet weak skunscent. Very feminine i nice, but no silage at all.
So with 2+2+2 hours of different faces, Lipstick fever turns from yeiii to nei. It’s not disappointing, not bad, but also not groundbreaking. A little overpriced as well.

emilyjxne

Sweet, fruity opening with the lipstickky vanilla and iris. In the mid it’s more synthetic, crayon-y & the dry down is powdery.
It’s feminine well put together day time scent, without being too mature, for me Lipstick Fever is ideal for a nice lunch, going to the theatre or an informal evening event

Aglopez09

So far there has not been a single perfume from JHAG that I completely love , up until now .
Upon first spray I immediately smell what reminds me of sweet but powdery scented lipsticks. My husband said he could pick up a fruity note as soon as I sprayed it .
Once the first notes transformed , the lipstick-like scent eased up , and although it remained a little powdery , the patchouli balanced it out a bit .
Normally I hate Patchouli, but in this perfume , it’s done right .
As Lipstick Fever evolves in the dry down , the scent becomes lighter yet more alluring. For some reason it almost smells like a hybrid of Mula Mula & Chronic Extreme . I think this perfume may be a “ love at first sniff “ for me .

gourmandnotes

I wanted to love this. It smelled exactly like the luxury fuchsia lipsticks my mother wore when I was young, and therefore, was /my/ idea of what a lipstick smelled like, which was way better than Maison Margiela's bitter, waxy, vintage Lipstick On. The problem was Lipstick Fever performed exactly like how a lipstick smelled, too discreet. It would've taken several sprays for me to reach a level of satisfaction using it as a perfume. But no matter how often I sprayed and topped off, it remained fairly faint... like one level below a skinscent.

*loves_shoes*

Sweet, very fruity, powdery.
Not much else.
The woods must come from ambroxan or some other large synthetic aroma chemical that some people like me can’t smell. I can detect the chemicalyness of it on my nose though, especially after it’s dried down.
Luckily this smells nice enough without being able to smell the woods, but overall I’m left feeling that it’s missing depth.
Just a sweet, fruity raspberry scent, smells cheap. Dries powdery. Doesn’t smell like any lipstick I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned hundreds.

Does smell of cheap scented plastic, like those fragranced erasers I collected as a kid.

Edit: I tried it again, and somewhere in the opening there is a vague smell of old lipstick, like when it’s turned a bit and should be thrown away. It doesn’t last long though before it becomes more fruity than lipsticky. Like minutes.

Northwoods

Yup. Reminds me of gross lipstick I first wore. The kind that wore off quick and ends up in your mouth, instead of on it. Not a pleasant memory. Not a pleasant smell.

Steph_S

I was really skeptical about wearing this after reading the reviews. I purchased the discovery kit around Thanksgiving and had never even sprayed this one. Well, I finally did and I wish I'd done it sooner!!! This is a great fragrance for me - both on my skin and on my clothes. It's fantastic in the colder weather we're having right now. It's sweet, but not overpowering. Once the sweetness settles in, the scent becomes more mature. It has an alluring, vanillic/woodsy vibe that is to die for. I wore this at bedtime and every time I turned or adjusted my covers, I would gets wafts of the fragrance and it was so comforting. The next morning, the scent is still going strong on my nightshirt.

I can't speak for the sillage since I'm working from home - again, but the longevity is great.

BTW - I purchased a full bottle after the 2nd day of wearing my sample.

thistle

This has a very synthetic cherry/raspberry sort of smell to begin with, but becomes more bearable over time. I only bought a tester and I'm glad I did because I don't think I would use an entire bottle. Definitely recommend doing what I did if you're unsure.

whimsyandhoney

This reminds me of Now & Later candy! Plastic wrapper, waxy candy, fruity flavoring. Not so sure on how much I love it as a fragrance, but it’s interesting and different

karinatfragrantica

Very plasticky. Yes, it clearly gives the lipstick vibe but not the kind of lipstick I love to smell. I was hoping for an elegant luxurious lipstick/make-up smell but it smells like the old-school pasty lipsticks we had in the 80s. My search for the perfect lipstick scent continues....

Juspaigeme

This perfume is so intriguing, I cannot stop smelling myself when I wear this. It’s addicting! Based off the notes I really didn’t think this would be something I’d like but I found it for a really great price so I just went for it and I’m so glad I did because I’ve never loved a perfume so much so quickly. It’s sweet raspberry and powdery iris with a woody cedar and vanilla base. I don’t necessarily think of lipstick when I smell it but something about it is nostalgic.

oblivion

Absolutely beautiful beginning! Slightly sweet, powdery, sophisticated fruity iris. Then patchouli comes out and makes things greener and fresher and slightly more woodsy until it takes over the composition entirely. Unfortunately for me this note is so prominent, i can't smell anything else and it's scratchy texture, i can almost taste it. Sadly, a pass for me 😔

pennyligeia

I was excited to order a sample, but completely grossed out upon receiving it. This opens with a migraine indusing, burnt tire fume.
It is absolutely horrible. If I had ever opened a tube of lipstick and smell this odor, it wouldn't have gone anywhere near my lips, but straight to the trash can, because I'd think it was contaminated with pesticide.
If you wear this..., you're going to have people either avoiding you or asking what you're wearing, so they can NEVER make the mistake of buying it.
This ranks, pun intended, at the top of the "worst perfumes ever" list.

Eval81

The juice certainly does justice to the name. Feels a little too synthetic and quite frankly it makes me feel like a juvenile when wearing it. Big pass for me.

MademoiselleMaya

On a cold November day it is too harsh to be a feminine luxurious lipstick scent. I would rather consider it unisex. Patchouli and cedar are main players on me, making it masculine and ill-balanced. They drown the iris, violet, raspberry, vanilla that were to give the impression of a lipstick smell. Strong enough to be o.k for a cold weather, but maybe spring and summer will make it more feminine on me. As it is - not for me.

ingeneuxo

-Opens as a honeyed, luxurious cough drop scent.
-Dries down to a synthetic powdery mess. (-)

renzo

Ladies,

I know that one can wear what they like, but as I love Iris, can I wear this as a man ?

greetings,
Renzo

This perfume is nostalgia in a bottle for me, and I love nostalgia. It's bittersweet, it makes you emotional.. I remember trying out my mom's makeup when i was a kid and how content I felt when I was with her, laughing at anything and everything. This perfume reminds me of these beautiful memories, and whenever i put it on me I get a little emotional even today from this heartwarming/heartbreaking nostalgia...

fitbyshel

The best lipstick scent I've smelled yet. I have this one, Frederick Malle lipstick rose, moulin rouge by Histoiries, and calvin klein eternity intense. This one is my favorite. It really smells like actual lipstick. It's fun and sexy. I always find myself reaching for it when I have a date. I get so many compliments on this one. Lipstick and raspberry. I'm not fond of gourmands but I like this. It's not too sweet. Really... give it a shot. I'm going to buy a backup bottle just in case. I can't see myself living without this one.

foldyrhands

i will say, i literally picked up a tube of my own lipstick and smelled it, and of all the lipstick scents i've sampled before, this perfume's dry-down smelled the most like the actual lipstick, second to maybe frederic malle lipstick rose – but for half the price, that's pretty good! if you can accommodate the loud raspberry (maybe it's a fruity lipgloss instead?), it reads less as pure lipstick, but as lipstick accidentally smeared in a handbag – and honestly, after sitting with it for a bit i think that gives it a really unique and interesting angle. because well let's be real, there's no way this was going to beat lipstick on at its own game. nice perfume on its own, ok substitute now that maison margiela sadly discontinued their best scent.

adelaidesandrina

Finally after many tries and tests with JHAG, i found one i actually genuinely LOVE. This is a waxy, sweet, powdery perfume. Echoing past reviews, this smells like if you spill a sugary sweet glittery lip gloss in a old used makeup bag :) i find this to be a flirtatious, seductive fragrance

LMBelvi

Just like every other offering from Juliette that I’ve tried (maybe 6 so far) it takes me almost no time at all to say “that’s a no.”

This is forgettable, generic and weak.
I’m done with this house.

cjoudas

Yes, I smell the lipstick- reminds me of my mom's ancient, stale clinique collection, but greater than that and as with most every JHAG i've sampled from the discovery set, I smell the carrier agent. In spite of this, Lipstick Fever is mostly pleasant, if taken in from a distance. Get too close and the rubbing-alcohol smell is overpowering.

2lipsinHolland

I think that if this fragrance had been rolled out after COVID or long before COVID it would be getting LOTS more love than it does now. It's release in June of 2020 just wasn't the ideal time for this perfume release. This is a real perfume. Not a perfume to wear in your pajamas while socially isolating. I ordered it the moment of release because of the promised lipstick accord that I adore. At first spray the cedar/patch was overpowering and it almost smelled like a hard core masculine. I barely got a whiff of anything that resembled a lipstick accord. Anyway it was clearly a strong performer and I was in my "stay at home casuals" so I put it to the back of the closet to macerate in the bottle a bit more and to try with proper clothes once out in the world again. Now that the weather is cooler I have been wearing this to work every day for a week to get a real feeling for it and it is GORGEOUS. Now I get the waxiness from the iris - I get the sweetness from the raspberry and violet. The cedar has mellowed into the patch and vanilla creating a very powerful almost leather aspect to this scent. I am getting so many compliments from this perfume. It definitely references the candy floss fragrances of today but instead of just having a candy floss accord it is as though the candy floss was raspberry and violet scented and is being held inside of a dark somewhat smokey oily black leather balloon that has been covered in lipstick kisses. A bit kinky. Highly recommend.

Vicky456

Smells like a bottom of a makeup bag but add flowerbomb to it

Mariyamokshina

So amazing and unique . Smells just like old school lipstick at first spray , reminds me of strawberry and raspberry that’s not too sweet with a hint of bitterness and lightness. Then, once on my skin for about 25 minutes , I smell ambroxan snd cetalox from the original not a perfume and together with the berries. I also get a hint of playdough but in the best possible way there could be, maybe like a waxy-ness of a honeycomb without the honey. I got a full bottle , and Im a big fan.

audreysoccer

Opens with a yucky syrupy raspberry that was hard to tolerate. But after this it's much better. Like opening the drawer to your mom's stuff were she keeps makeup and baby powder. Not my thing but I can see the attraction.

atlgrrl

One of my favorites. Raspberry married patchouli with a woody base. Remember deeply inhaling the contents of your makeup bag? -this is what you would smell. Even down to a recently sharpened lip pencil, this fragrance hits all the notes you might imagine.

I bought the 100ml bottle of this one. Love it

dianaelz.1

I adore it! super feminine fruity powdery smell.
9/10. hope it lasted longer on my skin.
it has like an almondy aspect which i love....

Skinterpreter

Recently I got myself into collecting lipstick scents and after being happy with my Moulin Rouge by HdP purchase (also, I kind of like Eternity Intense by CK), of course I had to get Lipstick Fever, too.
It came in a beautiful box and the bottle itself feels very pretty and modern.
The first spray already felt very nice - like a combination of a hairspray and red lipstick - then, gradually, the actual lipstick scent came to surface. :) And it's very nice and authentic, actually. Also, really, really similar to Moulin Rouge, even though MR feels kind of warmer, more robust and there is also this absinthe note that makes it kind of richer. However, I really like Lipstick Fever, too. It's like a delicious lipstick, with the lipstick-y, waxy iris note being omnipresent there, gently transforming itself into more of a raspberry lipstick. Also, I kind of like the "hairspray" note (maybe it's that pungent note everyone has been talking about). I love cosmetic smells so much, I'm glad I can add this to my collection. :)

subtleagent

I genuinely love this scent. It's intoxicating to just the right degree and the heavy warm vanilla-woody base is broken to just the right amount by the raspberry. The raspberry is very prominent at first, but then it settles into a warm cozy mysterious tone in your skin. HOWEVER, the lasting power is incredibly bad. I am so sad due to this. I am thinking about getting Liquid Illusion which is the luxury version that is told to be similar just to get a little more lasting power.

indibell

I got a sample size of this perfume and WOW. It is by far the best Juliette has a gun perfume I have ever come across! The raspberry is super strong but you can still get hints of everything else which makes it such a delicious scent. The first time I wore it, I sprayed 3-4 times at 8am, I then worked a 6 hour shift and could smell it through my mask the whole time! It is truly incredible, and it smells SO NICE! I’m obsessed with Givenchy’s L’interdit, it will always be my favourite perfume, and this is the first and only perfume that has ever come close to taking that title!

justlikemagic

Aptly named - this opens like extremely artificial lipstick, but settles pretty fast into a more subtle sweetness. That said, there's still that lingering hint of something artificial there. I can't decide how I feel about it. If you've ever seen the meme of the woman who is disgusted by something and then reconsidering it, that's me with this perfume. It's not fully awful, but it's also not good on me. I can imagine someone who wants a sweeter scent but not something like LVEB or Bonbon would like this. This is sweetness but with some restraint.

lorna.1

I get why they call it lipstick fever with that fruity and violet note that is a makeup bag vibe. It is very sweet and I think great for someone in their mid-teens. It's not too babyish though, it does have a pleasant heart once that initial top note wears off and she gets a little closer to her early 20s.
I think it's a likeable fragrance that will smell great in springtime and maybe too cloying for summer. A daytime fragrance that could be worn to the cinema or out for Sunday lunch.
I am unlikely to own this but I really enjoyed testing it.
Sillage is not that big.
Strength to be decided later. - wore at 5pm till 8pm and by then it was quite faint, I say a skin scent. 5/10 Not for me.
Lorna

gauzyguava

I mean, I'm honestly impressed that someone was able to bottle the smell of cheap, expired lipstick. I'm even more impressed that they decided it was a good idea to sell it. And, further still impressed that some people seem to like it. When I smell this, I get vibes of a 5 year old smearing her mother's cheap, drugstore, orange-red lipstick all over and around their lips. Nothing about this feels sophisticated or even playful. It just feels juvenile, gimmicky, and cheap.

yungmich

This was one of the first perfumes from the discovery kit that I actually ended up liking. Juicy raspberry with waxy lipstick. Although, to me the lipstick note smells like those kind of very artificial waxy lip glosses we’ve all had as a child, and it does tone down the juiciness of the raspberry, sort of putting a plasticy powderiness on top of it. The waxy note is definitely there but I don’t think that other people will really realize what it is once you have it on. I like it but it’s just okay, I don’t love it. To me it’s not worth buying, and I don’t know what the appeal of having that waxy lipstick note on you on a relugar basis would be. Also, like many other JHAG perfumes this does burn my nose when smelling it.

Nutmeg & Almond

I sprayed Lipstick Fever and immediately remembered watching my mom apply her makeup every morning when I was a child. I loved the smell of her lipstick because it epitomized grown-up elegance to me. Somehow Juliette Has A Gun managed to capture that fragrance in a bottle. Even better, the scent lasts a long time on my skin without changing too much. I really like this one. Thank you to JHAG for bringing back a special scent memory.

Neckromancer

Yup, it's what I was afraid of. Synthetic woods. Iso E Super I assume? The "lipstick" part is actually pretty nice, I get the violet and the raspberry. But that part lasts all of 5 seconds, and is overtaken by the persistent synthetic woods. Very strong. Very long lasting. Not for me...

starry eyed 44

I was on a search for a scent with a strong raspberry note. This almost for the bill. I got a really nice, slightly sweet raspberry note and the floral notes kept ot fresh. But after maybe an hour, the raspberry disappears and it's a generic floral for the next 5ish hours. Kinda like a fancied up bbw sweet pea. It's not bad or anything, but a little boring for my taste. Overall, it's an okay fragrance. I'll finish the small spray I got, but I don't see myself revisiting this scent.

LesGirls

This is the third Juliette Has A Gun perfume I've tried and they all have this sharp, acrid note to them that burns the back of my nose. I can definitely pick out the raspberry but once that's gone (and it's gone quick!), all I get is this burn.

Lulubelle

I adore this one, but to be honest I adore most of Juliette Has A Gun’s scents. My only issue is the longevity. None of the perfume ever lasts- Ever!!! Ugh. Makes me so sad. I could drench myself in this one, I just love it. This is my fourth scent from JHAG and absolutely none of them have longevity.

americanablonde

What a delicate, lovely, feminine perfume! Reading some of the reviews below, I seem to possibly be an outlier here, but I truly love this scent. It opens up with a powdery, almost waxy raspberry note that is extremely reminiscent of lipstick, and I found it just tangy enough to make my mouth water, without being cloying. It then settles into a sophisticated and mildly sweet scent, that's rounded out by the subtle powder of the iris note. The vanilla base is there, but it isn't overwhelming, and it helps to anchor the sharpness of the initial spritz.

The longevity and sillage are pretty good as well. After spraying this twice, I'm still able to smell it five hours later, though it is pretty much just an intimate skin scent now.

ivadim

Ако не знаех името, бих казала, че е на Mancera

Lolarik_16

frankly i find this quite boring, i am finishing my sample by wearing it to bed. Inoffensive but uninteresting.

CATCathryn

This smells like the generic scent of any high end department store's cosmetic counter. Just go to Nordstrom, stand in the middle of the cosmetic department and sniff. That's it. To top it off, the longevity of this leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not a big fan.

Nancymae

Unpopular opinion but I'm irked enough to comment. Why must this line insist on having the same base on every fragrance? You would think with "lipstick" in the title they would have moved away from the musk/ambroxan/ambrett-ish base! They are not listed in the notes but I have it on my arm and IT is there. Disappointing since I wanted a lipstick fragrance on the line of MMM Lipstick On. I've had generous decants of at least 8 of their fragrances and they all end up at the same destination.

RainbowGirl

I bet I won't be the first person here to say this smells just like lipstick. :)

I love the deep raspberry in the beginning, and the cedar vanilla drydown, but as fun as this is, I enjoy it most when that lipstick (violet?) smell fades a little, and I will not purchase a full bottle. For me, there is a better fragrance hidden inside Lipstick Fever. However, if you really enjoy make-up smelling perfume, and berry scents, this is a delicious lipstick scented perfume.

Bombalurina

I recently got to try some travel sprays of this and as soon as I sprayed it, it was so familiar to me- and I realized something in the sillage reminded me of Gentle Fluidity Gold by MFK! It isn’t exact, and I still definitely get the waxy lipstick scent up close but I was pleasantly surprised

Emorandeira

My favorite perfume from the Discovery set! What does it smell like? Well, what it promises ... Lipstick but the kind that smell good, the kind my mother and grandmother used when I was little. It also has the fruity touch of the raspberry that gives it a sweet spot and makes it more addictive.

The performance is very moderate, something that I have found in the entire line of the brand that I have tried, but in this case it compensates me with how much I like the smell. I would use it during the day at any time as it is sweet enough to sweeten winter days, but with a fresh and fruity touch that can help make summer days better.

As for quality, I can only repeat that it gives what it promises. It is certainly quite a synthetic scent, perhaps more reminiscent of designer perfumes than niche lines, but the lipstick effect is so successful that, at least in my case, it manages to make me forget all that and just want to go back to smell it more and more.

To finish, just comment that although certainly the color of the bottle, the name, the brand and the notes may suggest that it is a very feminine perfume, I see it perfectly wearable for a boy. Of course, knowing that you are wearing a perfume that is on the border. But for those men who enjoy fragrances like Dior homme or Gentleman by Givenchy I would encourage you to try it.

It is a very delicate classy scent, reminds me of the old school luxurious red Liptick, I really feel like this one stands out so much and can become a signature perfume easily 👌🏽 It’s full of fantasy and mystery. It last forever as well easily 8+ hours 🌸💃🏽 10/10 from every perspective 🙌🏽

SayakaP

Tested an official sample.
I loved the first 30min or so... It reminded me of La Petite Robe Noir by Guerlain. It smells like Cherry rather than Raspberry to my nose.
Sadly, the longer I wore it the more synthetic it got. It ended up like Intense Cafe by Montale.

It’s pretty. It’s ok.

mychinarose

I LOVE THIS!!!! Oh my God....I came *this close* to returning it, because I bought it blind online (along with MMM Lipstick On), and when I first tried it, I was really underwhelmed. It was weird smelling and almost masculine. But I sat on it, waited too long to be able to return to Sephora (I had no idea they slashed their return policy, DURING A PANDEMIC, ahem). But just today I thought okay, what the hell, I own this, I’m gonna wear this properly....

Oh my God. The dry down. People, the magic is in the dry down.

I literally cannot stop smelling my wrist. This eventually melds together in the most beautiful scent. I can no longer pick out individual notes. It’s just like a feminine, womanly, ever-so-sweet, buttery, warm, intoxicating smell. It’s the smell of a beautiful woman. Think Monica Belluci. She’s elegant, but not fussy. She passes by you and your head turns. Her car smells like this. Her handbag smells like this. Her hair. Oh my God. I need a travel spray now and another bottle to back me up.

I need to remember not to rush to judgement and to give fragrances a proper chance.

Bubbles1964

Lipstick Fever smells like the inside of Archie McPhee, a Seattle gag store. A store I like but that I’ve never thought, hmm.... I’d like that scent bottled!

If you’re not familiar, it simply means it smells like plastic, artificial candy and other petrol products that are gassing off. A similar experience can be had when you unroll a cheap, new rug for the first time. It’s best to put that thing outside for several days until the scent dissipates.

I’m reminded why I have a hard time with this brand: their products are often not blended well and smell synthetic. The raspberry note could be plum, strawberry or even pomegranate—a generic fruity note. And the Iris and violet? You’ll need a fantastic and clever imagination.

Phemia

Lipstick Fever is too sharp and spicy for me, it almost has a sting-your-nostrils quality to it that I just can't get behind. To me, there's a boozy, alcoholic vibe in this. There's also a slight warmth that I liken to a deep-in-your-body warmth that you get from drinking some kind of strong alcoholic beverage, it's not the same cozy sweater "wear this in the fall" warmth. Maybe the Fever in Lipstick Fever is supposed to be taken literally lol. I also get a spice in there, something zingy and piercing, maybe a ginger spice? Although that could also be coming from the overwhelming cedar note this has. The raspberry is ever apparent through the whole ride, making this fruity and juicy even after it dries down. There's a powdery quality that I think comes from the floral notes but it's not at all your typical powder fragrance - it's there, but it doesn't take away or round out the sharpness. The vanilla is there, but just barely. I think it would stand out more if the cedar wasn't as strong.

I just don't find this fragrance to be well blended much at all. There's a vague classic lipstick scent to this but far, far less than Lipstick On from MMM, which I actually appreciate this being more muted because I for one absolutely don't want to smell like a walking tube of old lipstick. Goes on strong, settles down a bit, doesn't last a remarkable amount of time but I still smell it a few hours later as I'm typing this.

wolfenstein

Not for me either. Just an odd combination from the start. Very strong artificial raspberry with cedar/patchouli. So weird. I kept trying to give it another chance but it is repulsive. I bought a sample and I’m so glad that’s all I did. Lipstick??? 🤔 no. I took the advise from the previous reviewer and I agree...don’t blind buy!!

Smellgod216

Not for me. SO glad I sampled this! I suggest you do the same. Really sweet, generic and cheap smelling! NOT A SAFE BLIND BUY!

writekatewrite

This smells exactly like my grandmother. Lipstick and powder and vague hints of cedar from the cedar chips in her dresser drawers. I have a 10ml for nostalgia purposes, but it's not something I picture myself ever wearing.

NDStars

First blast of sweetened red Sharpie marker, chemical, ambroxan. It's like their Not a Perfume but with red berries added in. It's not wholly unpleasant though. The synthetic smell is mildly appealing for the 60 seconds it lasted on my skin. Actually kind of reminds me of Empathy from the House of Oud. They have the same fun and flirty raspberry DNA. Leans feminine and best for warm weather.

6+ hours later: Surprisingly a very faint fruit note held on for about 4 hours. Performance is not worth the price.

Tilsie

You get what you ask for, literally smells like lipstick but not a nice lipstick, it smells like Poundland lipstick.

Gigi'sharmony

This is a really unique perfume, it really does smell like lipstick! When I was younger I used to put on my mom's lipstick before going in the shower an this smells like those old lipstick your mom or your aunt had or still have, not that it's bad thing but I just don't want to smell like this. The dry down is pleasant, you get more of the fruitiness and the flowerness of the juice but I feel like the cedar is still overpowering, especially in the beginning. When you first spray it, it can also smell like you rubbed a raspberry maynard on a freshly cut cedar plant with resin driping, but make it sharp. This perfume is leaning more towards women for my taste and not any women, a strong, sexy and confident woman. Not for young people, I would say 20 and older. Overall, it is not a bad perfume, just not a safe blind buy.

salthewitch

I've been dying to try this, or in fact, anything from the Juliette has a gun range purely based on reviews. I bought myself a tester and boy, was I surprised! I expected this to be much more powdery (and believe me, I'm a sucker for powdery) but in fact I get a blast (even after ten hours) of Aldehydes, which i adore. Shoe shop smell, as my daughter says. The sweetness comes for me not even in the first four hours, but as it mellows out - and I literally sprayed once each wrist - and still the Iris and cedar remain. This doesn't present as creamy or powdery to me, and yet it's name is accurate and there's the note buried within the others, which peaks out now and then. I'll be buying myself a full sized asap!
