This is a little bit more airy than the original, but still a strong fruity-jasmine bomb. The rich honey makes it dirty and "scandalous" (it gives off some type of leathery feel, like your skin after certain activities). Not my vibe, but I appreciate that you can sport this on a warmer day and not feel suffocated, quite the contrary, the notes are developing more nicely.

scnofthcrime

I blind bought this because I was intrigued by the honey note and generally like JPG fragrances. On me the honey is subtle, but this is a fruity pear bomb on me. Not unpleasant. I like this, but I'm a bit disappointed that I'm not getting much honey. I agree that with the prominent pear note this almost feels like it should be a lighter EDT flanker of La Belle rather than Scandal.

This is a super sweet, simple fragrance. And I love it. I get the pear immediately on the opening with the honey coming through in the background, combining into a ball of sweetness. It is very strong on my skin (even though it’s an EDT) and I actually find this sweeter than the original EDP. Sweeter but also lighter/thinner so more approachable. I think the EDP’s added complexity mellows out the thick honey more but it’s a heavier, beefier scent that I don’t reach for during a casual day. Even though there’s no musk in the notes, I do find after an hour or two it develops a very faint musky tinge on my skin. Could just be the honey mixing with my chemistry. I’m so sad this is disco’d and you’ll bet I’ll be ordering a backup soon before it becomes impossible to find. I do really like both the EDP and EDT. I just found a bottle of scandal by night which is on its way to me so will update with a review on that.

LEM922

This is my first scandal fragrance, the first time I’ve ever smelled any of the line. This is super nice. It starts off with a burst of refreshing fruitiness, but then quickly settles down into a sticky, almost orange blossom honey, with some candied floral undertones. This is a great perfume for summer and spring. I also like its versatility, I believe this could comfortably be worn during the day and at night. I’ve never smelled the OG scandal, but if this smells anything like that, I’m sure it’s a wonderful scent. This is really pretty, super feminine , it definitely knocked one of my other perfumes out of tray rotation. Love love love this one so far. I could also see this being appropriate for anyone of any age, it smells youthful, but not childish. I could see men really loving this on a woman. Also, for an EDT, this is quite beasty. Definitely a good performer.

sainthannah

this is one of my ultimate faves, the sweet honey really does it for me. i’m so upset they’ve discontinued this definitely running to find a back up

nickinicole

This is my first JPG scent, and it's not what I expected/hoped for. Reviews and descriptions mentioned juicy pear and lingering sweetness from honey. I mistook that for a light, refreshing scent more akin to something Jo Malone would release. This is not that scent. It's heavier than I expected and the pear note is sour to my nose, as though the fruit has gone bad. The jasmine is also overwhelming and missing the light, airiness of my other fragrances with a jasmine heart. Finally, once the honey note develops it sort of falls flat and smells synthetic.

Overall, just not for me.

Maria19

If the original Scandal felt too strong, this one is decidedly milder. I like the smell of pear and in this version the pear is very prominent. Quite a delicious scent. Of course, it depends on how the fragrance works on your skin. But the DNA of the original is here too. In general, I don't like JPG fragrances, except Classique line. They are too strong for me. But this scent I can wear.

Jordan 99

I love this one, better than original scandal, but I guess I wouldn’t even smell it if it had cap on tester in store, cap is very tacky and totally turned me off buying it. Smell is strong realistic jasmine and honey, very simple notes but it has depth and surprisingly very complex scent, what a magic you can create with just few notes.

ME.fragrance

This is one of my FAVOURITE perfumes, great lasting power and always compliments from others. I prefer it to the original scandal which for me is much heavier and cloying. My only gripe is that I used to be able to find this everywhere in the UK and would always buy the 80ml from allbeauty.com. I can only see this in 2 trusted retailers in 50ml now. What is happening, is Scandal À Paris being discontinued or phased out?

kattuxi

I only tried it once, but after like 2 hrs it left on my skin an absolutely horrible toilet-like smell, something like a peed on corner somewhere at the streets of Paris, so I wouldn't recommend it for a blind buy at all

MahaS

This perfume is beautiful but beware if you dislike Jasmine. I was surprised of how realistic the honey note is at the beginning I really loved it. It's a very potent perfume so spray carefully. Even though I feel that this is a gorgeous scent, I don't think this is for me because I smell too much jasmine. The pear is lovely but the jasmine is overpowering everything, at least on my skin.

This perfume lasts forever! I sprayed it on at 6:45 am and It was 7:00 pm and I was still smelling it. Excellent performance.

sugarcoatedreams

Gorgeous and long lasting! I can’t stop smelling myself when I have this on.
It’s my favorite from the scandal line.

cynthiad623

Strong Love it!

PlanetGrl

I found So Scandal so strong that I traded it for Scandal a Paris, which I find a lot less forward and in-your-face, but I wouldn’t call it subdued. It still has fantastic projection and leaves an intoxicating scent trail, sans the headache that So Scandal induced. Sweet, gorgeous and memorable. Edit: Even this is too strong/forward for me after all. Alas, though I respect here, I am just not that girl. Had to sell this one.

takema

I have a lot of love for sweet scents, so the Scandal line is a big love for me. Scandal a Paris is probably the easiest to love. It has the slightly dark honeyed sweetness of the rest of the line. Here it is more a drizzle of honey rather than the honey-bomb the rest of the fragrances tend to be. The honey pairs beautifully with the pear, which is one of the more realistic pear notes I have smelled in fragrance. The pear smells like a warm poached pear rather than a crisp, ripe pear. The jasmine is not all that noticeable in the opening. Even when it starts to be noticeable once the fragrance dries down, it stays in the background as a supporting note. If you are checking out this fragrance because of the mostly positive reviews but you aren't generally a sweet fragrance fan, I would still caution you to sample first...it is very sweet. If you love other fragrances in the Scandal line, Scandal a Paris is much less of a gamble.

Even with all the warm leaning notes, this is somehow still a lovely warm weather fragrance. My favourite time to wear it is late summer and early fall, when the days are still quite warm and the nights begin to cool off. Even though that is my favourite time, it can easily be worn all year. Scandal a Paris is a very feminine fragrance that would suit women of any age from young girls to mature older ladies.

Scandal a Paris performs incredibly, especially for an EDT. It lasts a whole day, 10-12 hours. It projects quite far most of that time, well beyond arms reach and can be smelled across a room with a more generous application. I tend to be a bit conservative with the application since it could easily become obnoxious to those around you.

The bottle design is a bit cheeky, the legs up in the air might be a bit much for some people, but it doesn't bother me. The design does fit with the Gaultier brand. I love how heavy and substantial the glass feels.

nirvana6

For an EDT it has a great performance. It's last 10h on my skin, projecting 4. It's stil very very sweet, you can feel the honey all the time. Its not a complex frangance, but it's an easy one when you want to smell nice for hours... I don't recommend it for hot summer days. It's not airy, but a little sticky, just like honey.
I am not a very sweet tooth girl, but I like to have it, as it's the only one in my collection with this style. But one it's enough .
Great quality, great performance. A nice not complicated SWEET scent.

gnathaliegh

I was not a big fan of the original Scandal and Scandal by Night since they were both too heavy on the honey for me. Recently, I got So Scandal and I absolutely loved it and so I decided to try A Paris. And guess what, I'm really glad I did. Pear is one of my favourite notes and the pear note in the opening is very sweet and juicy. In the dry down the jasmine really comes through and the honey in the base adds some richness but it's not as overpowering as in the original.
Longevity and sillage are great considering this is an EdT. This is a lovely sweet fruity floral scent for all year round. It's nothing ground breaking but simply fun and lighthearted.

CC3

Thought I'd try another from the range because I've loved the OG Scandal for years now. I can't actually tell much difference between them but apparently it's supposed to be lighter/less heady (EDT). It's certainly a beautiful smell and it makes me feel more assured that I can spray it more often and I won't necessarily be suffocating anyone - something that concerns me when I wear OG Scandal to work. Heard great things about Scandal By Night so will most likely get that one next.
SCANDAL SCANDAL SCANDAL!!! XXXX

ugly_sara_turns_it_hard

This is so peppery on me I don’t even get it

Olyve

I enjoy this perfume. The pear top note is long lasting and compliments the honey very well. It’s a lovely spring scent, very sweet and light, without the woody notes that are in the rest of the range so is a lovely daytime scent.

s801959

I did have 2 bottles (one after the other) of the original one. Then, I discovered Scandal By Night, which I still have (this is my 4th bottle!). This morning, I got Scandal à Paris. I prefer "Scandal à Paris" much better than the original, although I'm sure I'll buy it again.

(I never smelled So Scandal, not Scandal Gold)

Scandal à Paris does not smell exactly like the orignial one, even in a lighter version.

Scandal à Paris smells much more mature than the original one.

It holds extremely well for an Eau De Toilette. (This is the only Eau De Toilette in the whole collection).

This is perfection in a bottle ! I can't wait to buy another one to stock myself !

bdragonfly12345

A more juvenile version of "Scandal", this opens with a huge burst of (almost rotten) pear. It smells great from a distance, but is a little disturbing (to my nose) up close. ["Scandal", on the other hand, is more floral (a nice amount of gardenia), with a bit of sweetness at the top, counter-balanced with the bright citrus.]

The drydown of this, however: magical.

Interestingly, I personally feel that this is much closer to "La Belle" than the original "Scandal".

jedrzejowskia

Slightly fresher, shampooey opening with original Scandal background. Dries down 90% Scandal by Night minus 10% honey. If you have one you don't need the other ;)

bel.gravia

The more it stays on the skin the better it becomes 🥰 an initially sweet fruity scent, changes into a sexy confident honey pears and jasmine cocktail. Simply hypnotic and beautiful!

mandyads

Each time I spray this, the first 2 minutes worry me. It’s one of the literal “soapiest” fragrances I’ve smelled in the opening. It reminded me of a generic shampoo or liquid hand soap because the soapiness was that intense. However, that quickly fades as the juicy and bright pear begins to shine. There is definitely still a soapiness to it, but it’s much more tolerable to me. “Clean” fragrances are some of my least favorite and the only ones I quite like are Dior Pure Poison (musky), Versace Crystal Noir EDT (spicy) and this fragrance (juicy); even though they are fresh and clean profiles, they are still unique with a bit of “umph” to them. The more this tries down, the less soapy it becomes. The top is full of a very juicy and mouthwatering pear, but there is a very unique sharpness that starts trickling out in the mid. I have no idea what it is, but it’s definitely unique and I’ve never smelled anything like it… still trying to figure out what I think about it. This sounds terrible, but it starts to turn on my skin into an undertone of after-burp smell... yes, that's disgusting. Not sure what's going on with that, but I'm still investigating...

I have Scandal, Scandal by Night, and Scandal A Paris. I must say that they are definitely all different enough to be solid flankers but they share a very good amount of the same DNA. These are some of the best flankers in regards to that balance that I’ve put my nose to. If you don’t like the dirty smell that tends to peek out of the original then this version would be much better for you. It has that same honey sweetness as the original, but there is no patchouli and beeswax to create that animalistic accord. I actually enjoy that accord, but I’m not always in the mood for it. For those who love By Night, imagine switching that dark and syrupy cherry out with a bright and juicy pear… that’s what you get here. A Paris is definitely more of a crowd pleaser than the other two in the opening (not sure about this burp thing I'm smelling, as it might just be my skin chemistry), but still unique in its own right. I’m not sure if it’s a safe blind buy, but it might be the safest of these three. Not so sure about So Scandal, because I have never smelled it.

UPDATE: After wear testing this fragrance a couple of times, it’s an unfortunate no for me. I discovered that I could only pick up on the soapiness when I really dig my nose into the fragrance… smelling it from the distance a another person would, you don’t really get as much soapy as you do a cleaner, lighter and fresher version of the original with the added juicy pear. However, my major problem comes from whatever note that goes sour very early one in the mid and stays that way the entire heart of the fragrance (though it does tone down some). It smells acidic and a little bit rotten. Very similar to what I described before as that disgusting whiff you catch when someone burps around you. What I’ve decided to do was layer the original Scandal EDP with Victoria Secret Pear Glacé (which does smell quite nice) until I can find my winner pear fragrance. So disappointed that this wasn’t my winner. Burberry Her EDT let me down and this one hates my skin. Where can I find my juicy, sparkling pear!?

firstmate423

I LOVE the OG scandal, as well as Scandal by night. I am absolutely in love with scandal a Paris for a spring/summer scent! It’s perfect for spring and summer if you love the original! Simple notes, such a sweet and sexy fragrance!

Szilvita

This is the first time I use scandal Paris, and I've only testet the original for one day quite a while ago. But here are my thoughts!

This is a very nice scent!! Actually the first thing I thought was that it had the same vibe as Elie Saab Girl of Now Shine. Not saying they smell exactly the same, but they are similar in style....

I mean going from the originals to the flankers shine/Paris still gives you a sweet perfume, but with a fruity fresh twist! For instance, the flankers have the sweetness, pear and jasmine in common.

This París does not seem to be as long lasting as the others though.....strong pear when first spraying, softens into the two other notes and then within like 2 hours I can't smell it anymore :(

Rayan Abusrour

I don't like the original at all. But this one is surprisingly pleasant ❤ smells sweet without it being tooo heavy on the honey.
You can smell all the notes in here since it's very simple dna.
I wear it from time to time, but not always

AleshaA

I love this one just gorgeous I normally don’t like the jpg dna but this one’s really fresh juicy and floral and it plays well with the early spring and early autumn for me, I would definitely repurchase this one I have la belle and la belle intense and scandal by night but non of them compare to this beauty this was created perfectly just the right balance of the notes the only sweet synthetic modern perfume I actually really like wow for me ;)

jinglebells

This fragrance reminds me of a fun fair, it’s lighthearted, sparkling, sweet and flirty. It’s such a fun fragrance for me, I love wearing this outdoors, it leaves a beautiful trail, incredible performance for an eau de toilette. A friend who is sensitive to fragrances likes this on me. Try this if the other scandals are too strong for you!

I can smell all the notes listed, yet it is very well blended, the honey isn’t overwhelmingly sweet, lightened by the pear and the jasmine, works great in all weathers but I love wearing this in spring and summer nights.

fmangion

I am so in love with this fragrance. It is the perfect day time scent and can be worn all year round in my opinion. It's so beautiful and sparkling, sweet and sexy. I cannot put this down. An absolute compliment getter as well. Love love love love love.

KCristina.hb

just got it yesterday so im still testing but omg this is so nice! the pear to me is reaaally noticeable and the honey is very mild especially when you compare it with the og. anyway yesterday was really hot and humid and it felt great to wear it, very fruity and sweet but also fresh you know, def not cloying like i feel LVEB can get sometimes. on the other hand, today was super rainy and pretty cold and i don't think this fragrance really shines on gloomy, colder days like today. i'm lucky enough to have the og scandal as well but i didn't have it on me, still i only had this option and when i got in an uber the driver said i smelt amazing. i was on the hunt for a sweet sexy daytime fragrance to wear most days and this is really it, i 100% recommend, i also recommend the original!

Power of Perfume

À Paris is a lighter and simpler version of the original scandal. I find it more versatile as it can be worn in warmer weather (I'd use the original in winter only). It still has a great sillage, so a little goes a long way. But the longevity is not as good. Overall it's a high quality sweet, sexy and seductive fragrance.

Chrysi 🌸

I'll start by saying that I don't like this perfume. It's, indeed, a lighter version of Scandal EDP, but this one doesn't have that sweetness of the EDP or the By night version. I can detect the jasmine and honey easily. I expected it to be sweeter though and this is why I got disappointed after I blind bought it. I don't recommend blind buying it, even if you love the original. My favourite version is definitely Scandal by Night, this one is bubblegummy sweet, with delicious cherry. But I recommend this only if you love super sweet fragrances.

soumayaela

A little sharp and cloying when sprayed, but if you get through the first few minutes, after the sharpness fades away, you'll smell delicious, sweet yet fresh! Gourmande yet floral, just delicious
For an EDT longevity and sillage are perfect!
For people who can't stand the sweetness of Scandal and the creaminess of Scandal by night, try Scandal à paris, the honey here is done so perfectly even for people who don't like sweet or gourmande fragrances
This is the mainstream version of Scandal

PekoeMint

Syrupy honey with some floral to ground it is what I get. I like wearing this in the fall/winter while sipping apple cider as I window shop downtown.

It's a very sweet, flirty and feminine scent that will turn heads. My only problem with it is longevity. It only lasts about two hours on my skin, but luckily, it stays forever (4pm to next day!) in my hair and has great silliage this way as well. I'm okay with this as long as I get it to work somehow lol.

ILove_Smelling_perfume

This is a sexy fruity perfume that will leave an impression. It’s crowd pleasing but it has depth to it so it’s not basic or boring! Kinda reminds me of poison girl the EDT. It’s lighter and less honey smelling than the OG. Opening is bright, crisp fruity aquaticness. During the dry down on my skin I get this creamy vanilic smell but there’s no vanilla listed. I think this would make a perfect everyday scent.

Smell: 9.5/10

Longevity: 3-4 hours. Sits close so people really gotta be close to smell you but i do catch whiffs when I’m moving around.

Kathy Reed

I have many feelings about this fragrance this was a gift from my dad on my 19th birthday, I really hated it when I first smelled it , it was so sharp and it smelled like a bathroom spray at first I just couldn’t stand it, it didn’t smelled bad just too sharp, then I forced myself to wear it since I wanted to like it so bad because it was a special gift I wore it before bed and I continued with my night.

Now hear me out , this is when everything changed, I was watching twilight the very last movie where Bella becomes a vampire and I just remember seeing a scene where she is just standing there with her red eyes, pale skin and beautiful hair giving this very powerful energy and sensuality of being a “vampire” and that’s when I noticed, If Bella had a signature scent It would’ve been this one, it just hits all the right spots, the perfume is attractive yet sexy, warm and cozy the pear mixed with the jasmine is sharp when u first spray it, then maybe in a minute or two it becomes soft and so syrupy because of that sweet honey, it’s a perfume that makes you think “oh yeah she is attractive, and she knows it” it’s so inviting, friendly yet sexy, the perfume just becomes better and better as it develops on your skin, on my skin after a few minutes the jasmine and the pear go to the background to let the honey shine through, it’s soooo addictive the perfume also behaves like a parfum even tho it’s sold as an eau de toilette, it lasts on my skin for 8 to more hours if I overspray, it’s also light yet powerful I just love it so much

Bloolagoon

It is sweet but not as sweet as I usually like my perfumes. Lasts a good time and has decent projection. Love the smell even if it is not as sweet as I usually have.... Wouldn't wear this to work though

soumayaela

Mmmm
Delicious
Starts fresh and sharp and ends sweet and creamy
I hated the honey note in the original Scandal but in Scandal à paris, the honey is lighter but still sweet

I blind bought Scandal à paris taking a risk, since i don't like honey in my fragrances. First time i wore it i couldn't stand it, nauseating and too sharp, BUT few minutes later, Mmmm it smelled absolutely delicious and divine 😍
It doesn't smell like any perfume i've smelled before, sharp/fresh and sweet/creamy at the same time

Scandal à paris and So scandal were my easy reaches this summer, fresh sweet and pooooootent! Compliment getters also both are 9/10 great longevity and great sillage

Addictive !!!!

JPG did it again

MrAbbas

I love the Scandal line. This smells like the original but a bit fresher and lighter, this is what an EDT should be. I am a big fan of the original so I love this too, but in my opinion this DNA is winter only, so why make it a bit lighter?!!! Maybe only for people who found the original too cloying. So it fully depends what you want from a perfume. Performs excellent for an EDT.

Lyndsey_loves_perfume

This is my new favorite perfume! It smells so amazing, it’s both sweet and fierce at the same time. I just can’t stop smelling it, it’s so addictive!

Juicelove

Wooha this ones a fireball for sure! Ticks off aaallll the note boxes listed...and then some... So yes, Paris exudes oodles of sweet hot simmer on my skin.
At first was not in love with the nose blast somewhat burn but learned Paris doesn't need a lot of spritz to achieve her true character.
An hour or so later when my husband came round sniffing with ooooh's & ahhhh's...
Decided I'd give Paris a bit more exploratory consideration. Glad I did.

Paris blends well with my own Honey oil blend I make up, adding that "dripping Honey nectar" I was hoping initially Paris would offer.
All good now : ))

adelaidesandrina

this smells very similar to victoria secret’s goddess!!! maybe because of the pear note. doesn’t last that long on me sadly

RainbowGirl

It smells exactly like the notes listed. Strong fresh pear, sweet honey, and light jasmine. I love it. I mean what's not to love about pear, jasmine, and honey? It's strong, but not choking. I have a beautiful sweet scent aura around me.

BUT... the honey seems more luscious in the original. This is still a delicious honey, just not AS delicious. There's something in the original (I think it may be the licorice) that I don't really like, so I thought I would give this one a try, and I do love it.

I just wish it was a little more luscious.

Dort0625

So I’ve had this a few days now and I’ve decided what I think it smells like -Scandal and So Scandal have a baby but it’s a light/leger version. In fact I think this so much I believe that many others will agree-well, I should say anyone that has had a lot of dealings/wearing of these three scandal versions ! It’s lovely anyhow!!! I do love Scandal, it’s how I was introduced into JPG fragrances, I mean I knew of them but I never had purchased one before or really ever even smelled any. Now, I have grown my collection to a nice amount BUT I NEED MORE BABY MORE!

yankeecandle88

A Paris really stole my heart! I didn't expect to love this as much as I do. This is a really fresh spring/summer daytime scent, very sweet and lovley. It's really fresh mixed with honey and the longevity is really amazing, last alot longer then even more some of my EDPs. I've always loved JPG Classique it use to be my signature scent but now JPG La belle is my new signature and A Paris is close second, I love it so much, whilst La belle starts very pear and sugary the leather and floral notes soon are detected, whereas A Paris on my skin stays very pear and honey all the way through it's wear time. I really love this and bought the biggest bottle, don't think I will be without this gem now. Definitely recommend it. Are going to try original scandal having found a new love with this one

MiraScents

Same sharp tingly scent as in all the Scandals, but this one it stays prominent through the weartime. Its fresher and more linear compared to the original and by night. Mostly i detect bright, juicy pear and sweet honey. Going to use this in spring and summer, maybe most suitable for evenings for going out. Might get too heavy for daytime use, since the heat most likely amplifies the sweetnes, so it might get too cloying. Not going to repurchase, but happily use it up.

Tropicat28

When I wore this for the first time, my husband asked me what I was wearing and said it smells masculine. I did find A Paris to be a little masculine but when I wore it I got whiffs of sweet pear so I wouldn’t mistake it for a mans fragrance. It smells very similar to Scandal by night. I’m assuming that it has an Amber wood note that is also in Scandal by Night and that is what is making it smell masculine. It smells really good and I do like it but I’m not sure it is for me being that it is a little masculine. Strong and long lasting.

Edit: I wore this for the 2nd time today and I love it. Smells like a sweet and tart pear gummy candy. I think this would be safe to wear in the summer do to its tartness and woody base.

2nd Edit: Ended up getting decluttered. I bought the bottle brand new and the longer time passed the more masculine the dry down was on me.

LALDN

I decided to try this scandal scent out before the others due to the notes and reviews. So glad I did! It is incredibly beautiful, sweet, and oh so good! This makes me want to try Scandal by Night now for an evening scent. As with all JPGs, this scent has amazing longevity!

Update: tried Scandal by Night and nope. Not for me. I have also sold this bottle because it leaned too sweet for me. I have only kept my La Belle from JPG.

ME.fragrance

My favourite winter fragrance but extremely sweet and can be headache-inducing if you spray too much so be careful!

sweetNcozy

i refer to this fragrance as scandal by day because to me this smells like the by night version but lighter but don’t let the term “lighter” deter you. in my opinion this is still a great preforming scent and i’ve already gotten so many compliments on this fragrance. this could definitely be someone’s signature scent

Hunnynpink

Pears in honey bomb with the dna of scandal.

lorna.1

I have worn this several times over the Winter and had compliments.
I like honey as an accord, but I don't like it too much!

I couldn't deal with the amount of honey in the original Scandal. It was way too much for me.
This fragrance is like a baby sister. It has that yummy honey with the freshness of the pear and delicate Jasmine. This does lift the honey and makes it so sweet. It may be too sweet for warmer months, but nowhere near as sweet as some of the others in the line.

It was a gift, and I am glad I got this because I would never have bought it based on the note breakdown.
I wear it to the store or just hanging out. It's not going to matter. It's not a special occasion or interesting enough for a club. Ideal for wearing the cinema (one spray), at home, chilling or getting coffee with a friend. Inoffensive and a little strong if you are a 4 sprayer like me, so reduce the sprays.

*BLIND BUY*
This has been a blind buy and I am very happy I have it!

Even though it says it is a EDT I really feel like it performs like most EDP's.
Personally, I prefer light scents as I get headaches very easily and with one spray only I was able to smell this the whole day long.

It starts off with a fresh pear scent mixed with flowers, after an hour the pear starts to fade and the jasmine gets it's time to shine. Slowly throughout the day the honey becomes more prominent. I like how it doesn't fade away immediately but as the day goes. It doesn't bother my nose immediately with a new smell. It is not a natural honey, but a more sugary one, you can smell the honey. So if you like sweet but fruity scents this may be something for you!

I do want to note that this is not a special scent, it reminds me of a very generic scent a lot of girls used to wear at my college. It is definitely a young adult scent suited for ages around 17-26, but any age group can wear whatever they want!

Would recommend it as a gift or if you want a year round perfume!

Josesalinas

Very strong honey and syrupy sickly sweet pear lasts a long time for a EDT almost a pear solinote fragrance

Cess268

As a previous reviewer noted this has a screechiness to it that I just can't get past. Maybe the pear? I much prefer the original Scandal even though they smell similar it's just something in it that is sort of off putting to me. I did try this in the winter on a cold day perhaps I'll revisit when the seasons change.

Edit: just tried it again in 80 degree weather and it's really nice. I probably won't repurchase because I already have another honey scent that I really love for the Spring/Summer. (DKNY Love Nectar)and I fear it won't be worth the purchase for me because I won't use it enough.

PiperOK31

This is my second Scandal fragrance after owning By Night. I prefer the By Night version. It's not as sweet as this and I feel they perform exactly the same as far as longevity, I just like the cherry and deepness of By Night better. This one is pretty but it takes me over the edge of being too sickening sweet.

lauren.smells

This perfume rolled her eyes at me, smacking bubblegum in her mouth, and called me a senior citizen. Ok, no, the perfume isn't a person. But despite the fact that I'm in my mid-twenties it made me feel old! I just couldn't relate to how sweet it was, or the very *young* sense of sexuality — flirty without being truly sensual. The overwhelming honey was alienating. It's pretty but in an immature way, like a high school prom queen. But maybe I'm old and grumpy.

Update: I gave it another try today and I had the same impression, plus an overwhelming alcohol smell ://

Roseaddict

I tried Scandal a Paris on my wristles. Bottle with the legs cap is so cute. I am in love with the sweet juicy pear opening -smells uncomparable to any other perfume and I wish it could stay that way - just linear till the end. Unfortunately the drydown is simply unwearable for me and make me feel queasy. Smells like honey beer & hay...I wonder where does this hay note come from, does it contain a vetiver and it’s not metioned?am I the only one here feeling this bizzare note? projection is moderate - first 3hours for the arms lenght then close to the skin, longevity is satisfying -on my skin it lasts 8hours. If the drydown would be diffrent I would probably by a full bottle.

First Impressions: original Scandal with equal parts honey, equal parts pear!!! So far, I love it. It’s a VERY juicy honey-ed pear, almost the same vibe as La Belle. I like this so far, but will come back with an update after I’ve worn this enough to form a full opinion.

EDIT
Dries down to the original Scandal. The pear disappears, the jasmine and honey become more prominent. It’s just a fresher version in my opinion, but could also be a flanker of La Belle due to that massive dose of pear. Longevity is great, I’ve been wearing this for the past 8 hours and it is still as present as ever on my skin. I presume it will last even longer on clothes. In my opinion it’s a perfume that can be worn all year round. The juicy pear makes it appropriate for heat, yet works beautifully alongside the honey in cold weather! I would say that for people who already own the original and By Night versions, this is an unnecessary addition, but worth it for people who found the earlier versions too “thick”. People who like La Belle, Pure XS, Olympea or even Flowerbomb might like this. I would not re-purchase purely because it will take me while to go through my big bottle, in addition to the other fragrances from this line that I have, but it’s definitely a fragrance I enjoy and look forward to wearing.

I'm kind of addicted to this scent but this addiction took some time to develop. On me, this perfume kind of grew gradually with each passing day. One thing I'm not sure about is, if this scent turns sour on everybody's wrist after some time or just on mine. Overall, I really like this scent but earlier I found it generic. Now, I can differentiate it. It is long lasting and has a confident & sexy feel to it. I feel myself in high regards when I wear it. This doesn't happen with any Zara perfume. Oh btw, this is my first designer fragrance purchase and I'm satisfied with it. It opens with juicy pear and jasmine notes, jasmine stays all the while but I love when it settles down in base honey notes.

nirvana6

Love this one. It surrounds you all day with a scent bubble, very longlasting. I can smell myself for about 6 hours, even more. For me its a little bit too strong for the summer, I prefer this one in winter or fall, when its cold outside. It makes me feel good, and it's a little mysterious at the sametime. This one it is sweet, but not in candy or girly way, instead it's a subtle sensual. You can say it is like the original Scandal, but in a prettier way. I wear it to the office, but only three sprays. Be carefull because it is strong.

nirvana6

This is an absolute favourite of mine. It's a sweet scent that I can wear, because it has omething different about it. The best part of this perfume comes after the dry down. I agree with a comment saying the first 5 minutes has an strange smell, but if you let it sit for a while on your skin, something special happens.
It had s good staying power and good projection. It becomes s skin scent after 4 hours. I wear it in spring, autumn and winter. Too strong for me for the hot summer where I live.

AndreaValerie

This perfume to me, is addictive. I sprayed it on myself to test it before buying (about 10-12 sprays) at roughly around 2:30 in the afternoon, currently 22:34 and after a shower it’s still lingering in my bedroom. Even when I was in the shower I could still smell it, the longevity is enormous and the silliage too! All day since I sprayed this fragrance I could smell it on myself and not in an obnoxious sort of way but more so it just engulfs you in a cloud of very sweet honey jasmine all day long. Personally I don’t get any pear at all but I think it’s perfect the way it is.

zina saleh

same as the original but more fruity i get so many complements every time i wear it , will buy again

Lixa

Like ! Love the pear in it. Much better than the original Scandal, which I find generic, boring and nauseating. Longevity is poor though.

Krest123

This and so...? Sweet pea smell identical

dglightblue

Bit plasticy smokey take on honey here. Notbin a good way
Not sure i like it..

>Happy Cat<

It is not bad at all.

Smells a bit cheap but pleasant and good for a casual night out. My favourite from this line. Would actually buy a small bottle if it wouldn't be so overpriced.

Azula

I remember smelling a tester of Scandal à Paris at a local department store and being taken aback by the salacious intensity of the jasmine; so much so that I found it bore a resemblance to Lush's Lust. Unlike Lust, however, SàP's jasmine is a distinctive hue of millennial pink and its petals are glazed with pear nectar.

I ordered a bottle several months later, only to discover that this juice feels like an entirely separate fragrance. The jasmine here is no longer at the forefront and was instead usurped by a fresh, syrupy, dewy pear note paired with the same honey accord found in the original Scandal. Still really lovely, but I'm disappointed by the demure nature of the jasmine here.

Yukio Okumura

A clean scent passing an air of innocence but intense, a ray of sunshine in a hive full of ‘’ = ’’ bees, apparently docile and beautiful but lethal.

Scandal Paris, brings the pear note as a differential. On my skin, the pear note if it catches in all perfumes contains it, (which I have felt until now). Making the perfume a much more ‘’ clean ’’ cleansing smell. At Scandal right at the beginning I feel a very strong honey dipped in pear and pineapple, although this note is not described. Also the pear leverages the jasmine note but it is not very intense on my skin, until the end of the perfume I feel the pear with honey and the clear touch. Soon, I still prefer the by night for personal taste, this one for those who want to use it the traditional by night during the day and you feel uncomfortable, perhaps this is the ideal because it is milder.

Jackiex

Honey and pear. That's all I can smell on my skin. It certainly isn't scandalous, quite the opposite, and I don't get a Parisienne vibe either. So where does it get its name, I have no idea.
I would wear this if I wanted something approachable, feminine and inoffensive. It's just another lovely scent in the crowd.

Naomie

Cheeky, playful and delicious! I really like the pear in it, makes it so unique and outstanding, I didn’t mean to buy it, I smelled it alongside of a few others and while I was paying for the Chanel I started to smell the rest I’ve tested and then I was like ohhhh what was that!!! 🤔 so I’ve got this too! Fruity and sweet which is not my type, but this one is different from the pear, very similar to flower bomb but so much better! I think this is a great addition to anyone who loves fruity scents or someone who is looking for a playful scent alongside of the elegant classy ones!
Update: I tried to use this one today but I realised I can only use it if I have no nausea whatsoever and this perfume won’t be the one which would be used much because of its sweetnesses, so if someone has stomach problems and sensitive for smells, this one might not be the main option for them, but can be a nice fragrance for the good days every now and again
UPDATE: I’ve bought it almost 2 weeks now and I still didn’t wear it, it might be to much for me, I’ll wait an other week and then might pass it to a friend I was so amazed by it and it’s such a beautiful scent I just don’t know if I can stomach the sweetness for a full day 😐

perfumeaddict97

This is such a cute and pretty fragrance, it's one of my favourites! I've tried the other versions of scandal by jean paul (edp, scandal by night) and I love them all, but this one is my favourite because its lighter and has a fruity element to it. The main notes I smell are honey and pear. I do believe the pear is not evident in the other versions of scandal. It smells very feminine, sweet and fruity. It's definitely not at all too sweet or cloying. It also smells youthful but not like an immature/ teenage scent. Does not smell cheap - smells elegant and classy (to some extent). Lasting power and sillage are good enough; also the packaging is super cute!

turkishgirl

smell too much pear on my skin i don't really love it

scandi rose

Lovely perfume, smells like Cerutti on my skin. It is sweet and powdery, not too over powering. Great for meetings or day time occasions. I think it smells quite classy. Sits close to the skin, doesn't last long on my skin. Wouldn't buy it again, but i will use it now i have it.

cathrinejohanne91

So this one really smells like Elie Saab Girl of now on me. It's good, I like it. But there is nothing special about it. Perfect for spring. This is a sweet, fruity floral scent. BUT it doesn't last long on the skin at all.

>Happy Cat<

Musk and lots of sugar.
Linear and boring in my humble opinion.
It is strong, Just one spray on wrist was too much and had to wash it out.

celia46

On my skin it is very sweet and lasts forever.

Even after swimming in the pool I can smell the fragrance on my arm. While the other two perfumes I tried in the morning are completely gone.

Unfortunately, it is not the type of fragrance I am looking for.

LoveMeNow

Sexy, sweet, fresh and light. Doesn’t last on my skin, but I love this ❤️

auroramaria

I wanted to like this but it is too sharp and screetchy I love the Scandal line but this one on my skin is just not interesting

Amascent

I love this! Its smells of sweet pear and honey and balanced and brightened with soft florals. This smells sophisticated and elegant on my skin. I don't know how some said it smells like cheap fruity body spray, I dont get that at all! But hey, I know perfumes smell different on everyone. To those who had negative experiences with this, the bottle is very clear, not tinted at all and has a lot of surface area curved at the top almostmagnifying the light, so make sure you aren't testing from a warm spoiled bottle under harsh lighting at a department store... this smells best out of a packaged fresh opened bottle at home. I know department stores are kind of the only way to test unless you do a blind buy, perhaps that's something they should have thought about in bottle design. The pictures in the ad look like theres a soft frosty pearly tint in the glass, that would have protected the perfume a little and added a nice design element, but thats just my thought.

The initial spray is the sweetest and has the most fresh pear. 5 min later while it drys and warms the pear sours (not plesant for a few minutes) but quickly settles and becomes lovely and balanced. At this point the pear shifts into the background and I'm left with honey and florals, with a subtle dried pear base. Creamy, rich and fresh with a little warmth peaking through. I don't get an aquatic feel. I hate airy aquatic perfumes with a passion. This is far richer and sophisticated. Honey sweet floral and creamy and bright. Perfect daytime scent. Just divine. Lasting power and projection is decent. 4-5 hours, don't expect this to be an all nighter. But with a scent this gorgeous who cares, job well done Gaultier! This now has a permanent home in my collection, and was just made for my skin! The bottle is so sexy and cute, I love the legs, and it's just so fun to reach for in the mornings. A little something different on the shelf to love.

Feige

This is a very strange scent. I received a sample version of this (a piece of paper covered by foil with a few drops of the perfume inside) and I really liked it on my skin. It sweet and feminine but still sophisticated which I like. I was ready to buy it, but I went to a store first to try it in the spray format to make sure I like it. I’m glad I did as i’m starting to think it’s not my thing... it smells very different when sprayed from the bottle. I could smell honey at first but now it developed into a strong, sharp alcoholic scent with a hint of candle wax. I just hope the drydown is nice.

Update: it’s been a couple of hours (around 3) since I sprayed it and now i’m starting to like it. It’s starting to smell really cozy now that the sharp candle wax scent is gone. I might buy it.

Drnonododo

A total disappointment for me! I bought it as it was recommended by many youtubers, and at the shop its smell blew my mind. After I came back home I found it vanish like dust! I can't smell it on my clothes or my skin... I tried even to put moisturizer then apply it but still it completely evaporates after exactly 10 minutes!
I really love honey based perfumes, but this one unfortunately doesn't deserve to spend money on.

dipisor

I have just found the perfect pear fragrance. Oh, my goodness! I can't describe the feeling...it's breathtakingly beautiful. I'm melting every single time I get a whiff of this. Quite sweet, but so airy at the same time. Delicious.

It's so much more wearable than the other two. My sister has the original and I always get a headache when I smell it on her. Not to mention on my own skin. I just can't.

Petals_and_Perfumes

Soapy powdered sugar.

dovey

My favourite of the scandals so far
Honeyed version of Mon Paris by YSL

rola.asad

Mmm ... Delicious! the summer version of Scandal by night, lovely!

lolalee

Gorgeous opening, just like the original but more airy and fresh. Then it dries down into way too much jasmine for me personally, and then after an hour or two it turns into original Scandal again except there's so much missing.
If you found the original too sweet and decadent and you like jasmine you might love this, but I'll stick to the original, it's my favorite perfume ever!

SailorV

This is my favorite Scandal so far! It‘s still intense and mainly focussed on sweet honey, but much lighter than the original and By Night.
The icy-fresh pear in the topnotes really does it for me. It‘s such a nice contrast to the warm honey and I‘m very into pear notes at the moment, and its freshness lasts for hours into the drydown. The jasmine is only a supporting note that just sinks into the honey. I can‘t wear the other Scandals, the original is cloying to my nose and By Night doesn‘t work on my skin, but A Paris is easier to wear. In this flanker, the honey note doesn‘t cross the line from sexy to dirty on my skin, which it unfortunately does in the others. For me it still works better on cooler days and I wouldn‘t want to try it in the heat, but I think that might be dependent on how well your skin deals with honey notes.

I‘m not sure if it was really necessary to bring out a second Scandal flanker after such a short time, these scents are as similar to each other as the bottles. But I‘m still kind of happy that Scandal A Paris is different in a way that makes it work for me, so I won‘t complain!

KYLLIKKI

If you like Scandal by Night, but think it is too strong - try this! Lighter version, lovely sweet and unique. I ❤️

masako_30

Scandal A Paris is anything but a simple perfume, how I could have thought looking at the 3 single notes. It's great and very good. Harmonious and enveloping.
It's a little out of the scents I wear for the most, but we're about the same trajectory as the first released of the line, which I cannot give up!
If anything, it lacks those bitter traits that make me crazy about Scandal.
Unlike the latter, 'A Paris' is a little less flowery and slightly sweeter, it takes on less facets during its evolution, al least to my nose.
Very good indeed. And wow --here too-- persistence is excellent, extreme.
I am grateful for this sample, it's not so easy to receive many ;)

vlarya

Although it isn't listed in the Notes, this becomes very musky and masculine after 3 hours.

raiza1990

Sensual, feminine, elegant. It’s lighter than the original and prettier. This is my favorite from this line. It is simple but well crafted and almost erotic. I think it is a great scent for dates or other intimate moments. Scandal a Paris is a fragrance that will be remembered.
I could detect all notes. Most intensive is the honey, refreshed by pear and jasmine. After some minutes it gets a bit powdery, but it is almost imperceptible.
This gets a thumbs up from me!
Final note:8/10

Parfümlady

Okay I know this one is supposed to be a more airy 'lighter' version but oh my.. I sprayed this on one and Scandal By Night on my other wrist for comparison: Now, 4 hours later, Scandal By Night settles into a very sweet honey note.. Scandal A Paris on the (literally) other hand powers through with that heavy, almost smokey jasmine and a reminiscent of a deep, less sweet honey note.
I love both but since I have an incurable weakness for jasmine I favor Scandal A Paris over its two predecessors.

Daria_21

I have and love both the original Scandal, and Scandal by Night. The only bummer is, they aren't available for purchase in Canada, as far as I know. I've had to buy both my bottles at the duty free while on vacation.

If I find this at any point, it'll be an easy blind buy if necessary. Absolutely love the two predecessors - both so rich, opulent and intoxicating!
