Wild Bluebell by Jo Malone London is a Floral Green fragrance for women. Wild Bluebell was launched in 2011. The nose behind this fragrance is Christine Nagel. Top notes are Dew Drop, Green Leaves, Clove and Bluebell; middle notes are Persimmon and Peach; base notes are Musk and Powdery Notes.

Jo Malone has introduced a new fragrance Wild Bluebell at a presentation in London end of May 2011. According to a representative of the house of Jo Malone, the new fragrance starts renovation of the house. Advertising poster features a model instead of a flacon, which is unusual for media campaigns of Jo Malone, since we are used to seeing flacons surrounded with main ingredients of compositions.

Creator of the perfume is Christine Nagel who presented a new version of bluebell, composed of various notes, including green fresh notes, flowers (lily of the valley, rose hip) and spicy chord of cloves. Bluebell is a wild forest flower and its scent provides a moist echo of summer forest. English bluebell is an endangered species, Jo Malone gave a donation to Woodland Trust. Genuine bluebell does not take part in the composition, but its recreation composed of various notes.

Top notes: bluebell and cloves
Heart: lily of the valley, jasmine, rose hip
Base: white amber and musk

Jo Malone Wild Bluebell arrives on the market in sale from Sept 1st 2011, as 30 and 100 ml Cologne accompanied with body care products and scented candle.

Pretty basic green floral frag with a musky dry down,
i personally get a lot of bluebell from this which definitely adds uniqueness but wouldn't recommend for the price.

I recently got a small tester bottle of this, and immediately wondered why it wasn't called "Spring Dewdrop." I don't get anything sweeter than, well, the smell of dew on a spring morning just after the fog has lifted. Yes, I pick up a slight watermelon-y scent just at the very beginning, but I wouldn't call it sweet and it's certainly not cloying. I spent decades swimming 6-7 days a week, and literally had a pin on my coat that said 'Chlorine is my Eau de Cologne,' so I can tell you with the utmost certainly that it does not smell at all of chlorine or swimming pools. But I can also say that if anyone ever picks a Bluebell that smells like dew any time of day except in the morning when - well - there's dew on it, I would love to be informed. To my nose, Bluebells don't have a dewy scent, and I don't even detect the hyacinth note that some talk about in this cologne.

It does last on my skin for an hour or two, with very little to no sillage, but I honestly did enjoy that dewy smell while it lasted. Like other Jo Malone colognes, I found it blew through the top and middle notes quickly and settled in for the duration on the base notes.

Very linear, this is great if you have fond childhood memories of being outside at daybreak as the fog lifts whilst making your way through a lightly wooded area before the sun rises high enough to burn the dew off. For me, it's reminiscent of childhood spring mornings before I had to begin my chores and while the only signs of life were birds calling to each other and woodland animals occasionally stirring in the undergrowth. At any rate, I'd be in line to buy it if they ever came out with an Eau de Parfum Wild Bluebells, and added just enough of that hyacinth scent to blend in and elevate the fragrance even just a bit.

As it sits, it's certainly unique, and certainly not unpleasant, but up to you to decide if it's worth your hard-earned money.

Apparently, this is how Lady Diana used to smell. I'm not saying she used to use this, but she used to like perfumes that smells like this, and when you try it you'd agree. This does smell like a classy English lady. It's very feminine.

No other perfume screams "I'm British" than this one lol

It's not screechy as I expected it to be, maybe because it's an EDT it only lingers around you. It's not suffocating as Stella McCartney Pop Blue Bell. I regret spending my money on that one. It eventually became my room spray. Even as a room spray it was so bad and cheap smelling.

virgomoonsign

Whoever said this smells like dead fish is right on. It’s a faint smell but it’s there lingering in the background the entire wear of the perfume. There is another simple Jo Malone DNA happening at the same time but it was hard for me to make out, it’s nothing special and like most Jo Malone fragrances had no longevity.

Goldena35

I like this so much and am kicking myself for not snapping it up at a discount when I had the chance. It was wintertime and I was unable to remember how I would long for something light and softly floral. It’s so clean and fresh (not “cologne fresh “ or “aquatic fresh”) BUT yes it’s dewy fresh. Then that powder musk combo comes in and makes its cozy too with the tiny hint of spice from the clove. The fruits/ flowers are non- descript to me but bring a tad of sweetness. I would consider buying this …I do hate that it lasts a total of 3 hours (with the last hour being barely perceptible ). What a perfect spring perfume. I kept thinking…what smells so nice??! Oh that’s me!!! It’s that kind of perfume for me. It has me at drydown.

EDIT: I reapplied and the fruit is bright and a little tart in the opening. So it’s noticeable there. With sweet clean floral tones. No clue what a blue bell smells like (here a tiny bit like a lilac).

I purchased a decant of this and it literally smells like fish. Like if you have a home aquarium and a net that you've used to scoop fish in the past...sniff it and that is what this smells like. Ugh.

MGoddess

It’s a very nice scent, but it’s giving jasmine tea from the Chinese restaurant that has gone cold. Like most Jo Malone scents, it doesn’t last very long at all. It just sits on top of my skin— it could just be incompatible with my natural scent. I don’t pick up on all the notes that others have described— it just smells like straight-up green tea! (That could be a great option if you’re looking for an inoffensive office scent.)

cloudk

I think this one is so natural and real smelling. It's like when you sweeten something using only fruit. It has that sweetness of course, from the persimmon. However, it also has the complexity of a floral, mildly green, watery smell. It's lovely, and realistic. It definitely has a gentle fragility, it makes me picture a sweet wet persimmon, on a crisp spring morning with bluebells and their foliage all around cut in vases. After a few hours it fades to a sweet light musk. It lasts about 5 hrs on me, with the faint sweet musk still there if I put my nose to my skin. It's a lovely scent, and another creative one from jo malone- I really like how unique these fragrances are yet pretty reasonably priced. The dew drop note is incredibly unique, it totally reads as watery, yet has a uniqueness that feels like a real dewdrop on a flower, or a persimmon picked in the fog, with dew still hanging to it.

unisexual

this is a breathtakingly beautiful floral. it has such a sacred fragility to it that it's hard to treat it casually, such an accurate composition to it that it's clear that it distinguishes itself as a field flower specifically. I'm impressed-- not many perfumes floor me like this with such vivid realism that I get nostalgia wearing them for the first time.

spring days spent out hiking, observing and studying flowers for a field botany course. everything down to the dewy and dizzyingly fresh vegetation is done with accuracy and intelligence with an immaculate attention to detail. so elegant, emotional, and refined. anyone who wears this must have a deeply emotional side to them, because it invokes such a sense of sensitivity and grace. I feel as though people of that caliber would have no issue with the under-performing sillage and longevity, either.

MissGlam

Love this fragrance It's been my signature scent for about 10 years now! The perfect clean girl scent. Soft floral violet notes and fresh clean powdery scent. Only down side to Jo Malone Colognes is they don't last very long at all. I still repurchase this one whenever I'm running low. I also own the hair mist, body lotion the candle in the same scent just cant get enough of it. If you're on the hunt for the exact dupe that smells so similar but don't want to spend as much money go for the new limited edition scent called "Bluebell" from The Body Shop. It's a body mist but similar longevity to Jo Malone as the colognes don't last very long anyway. I've been comparing them both side by side for the last couple days and I literally can't tell the difference they smell identical! If you are crazy like me I bought the whole entire "Bluebell" range from The Body Shop as it's limited edition so get in quick. :)

Kitmarin08

Not sure what is going on with fragrantica where the notes do not match what the company says…I sense people are trying to mess with the site because everything just has to be politicized now. Anyways! This is an absolutely atrociously overpriced generic Lily-soap scent that lasts 5 minutes on my skin. Yes it’s pretty and light. Not every scent needs to be “beast mode” but I get more lasting power from a bar of soap.

LedumPalustre

Smells like freshly cut cold watermelon taken straight from the fridge, on a kitchen table with windows wide open to a cooling breeze.

Ajlis

A cooling, fresh floral scent with green and aquatic notes – but also a dose of soapiness, which seems to be typical of Jo Malone's perfumes. In the opening, Wild Bluebell reminds me of a walk in the meadow on an early summer morning, when the ground is still damp from the dew and the rising sun peeks through the trees. In the drying phase, the fragrance develops into a rather simple, generic, slightly powdery and soapy floral scent. It’s very pretty but nothing unique or groundbreaking. However, now that the spring is here, I find myself reaching for this scent more and more. This is the perfect choice for days when I just want to smell clean – the embodiment of the "clean-girl" aestethics.

Zara109

This fragrance is akin to a watercolor painting. It’s airy, dreamy, mythical. A room surrounded by fields of wildflowers; the smell of fresh paper on a desk - a poem in the making. There’s nothing else like it. If only it lasted longer.

paupadua

I love it! It's a fresh floral less fruity scent that is dewy and mild. I smell beautiful florals comparable to jasmine as well as fresh green leaves and some sweetness. It also reminds me of Magnolia Charm of B&BW which I also love. Overall, it smells pleasant which gives a sense of satisfaction. A new favorite.

WitchQueen

A strong like for me. I wore my 2ml sample around St Patrick's and the beginning of spring and it felt perfect for that time. It smells like what a fairy would wear when sitting on the rocks by a waterfall. The melon note reminds me of the cucumber melon craze of high school, so it marries fantasy with some pretty bad memories. I've never gone through a sample that fast- partially because it's a cologne and I sprayed more each day. The easiest of easy reaches.

vnyasova

it's what your skin would smell after a skincare routine, clean and simple and fresh

H47E

To me this smells like watermellon

_danield

This smells exactly like Tatcha Dewy Skin cream. Very luxurious! I don't think it's necessarily feminine. it smells like if you got out of the shower after using luxury skin care products. "not a perfume" type scent. I don't get the artificial watermelon everyone keeps mentioning.

stringstheory

clean and fresh and lightly floral, like a garden that's just been rained on. i usually layer this with Peony & Blush Suede, but on its own i can wear it around my loved ones with moderate-strong fragrance sensitivity.

hcjh

Smells bright and fresh and like cold spring sunshine, as another reviewer said!
Unfortunately my wife said it smells like original Dr. Scholl's scent so............

Kkardaper

Floral but very light, it reminds me of nectar for some reason. Its a bit green too but remains fresh. Its super clean and a great everyday scent, it is reminiscent of a summer morning where to due is dripping off each piece of uncovered life. Its beautiful.

calico__

at first i couldn’t get over how it literally smells like banana. but after letting it sit i think it smells quite pleasant

vanillabeanshampoo

You’re sitting on the porch of your gran’s house by the edge of the forest, overlooking a lush meadow. It’s the end of spring and it’s just rained. The air is humid and carries the scent of greenery and petals. You’re wearing a pair of soft cotton pyjamas from your gran’s closet and snacking on watermelon cubes.

Green, wet, refreshing. Powdery, but balanced by a fruity juiciness, without being sweet. A true gem.

Leahra

Such a pretty scent. This is as floral as you'd expect, but without being overly sweet as many florals are. I'd say it's flowery in a grown up way. This immediately reminds me of gardens in small British towns and villages.

It's perfect for spring and summer. While it's a daytime scent in my opinion, it blends beautifully with other scents for evening - so far it's complimented everything I've combined it with.

nmmfraggers

Honestly a really clean scent, never smelt bluebells before so didn't exactly know what to compare it to. It has an almost dewy and refreshing smell that I loved so I started using it right after the shower and my boyfriend insisted I smelt just like a watermelon and I since then I can't seem to get that comparison out of my mind. He's right! It smells like freshly cut watermelon that's not too sweet!

Crocus

My particular body chemistry makes this lean very aquatic- yuck. Sadly a pass for me.

Proxima

For 7 years I tried to find something similar to Mod Noir by Marc Jacobs and this scent is strong 95% resemblance.

rachaelol

This is the first Jo Malone I've ever sampled and I really like. This is a very springy scent. It's giving "first days of spring and my seasonal depression is starting to lift." It's floral and a little sharp (in a good way), and it makes me want to go sit in the cold spring sunshine :)

caseykins

The opening notes are fresh and lovely but it dries down to a matronly smell that I don’t quite like. I definitely picture an older, sophisticated woman wearing this.

soldier71

to my nose, this is what spring and snowdrops smell like. Fresh and young and innocent. No sophistication, nothing complicated, easy, breezy beauty. Poor silage, but I think it would be terrible otherwise., longevity is ok for a cologne concentration.

Bee91

At the store I never felt good about this, it comes out really sharp, the floral notes hit the nose strong in a weird and artificial way.
Then I casually got a sample, and I got to re-evaluate it a bit.

Despite the initial sharpness, it mellows out pretty quickly. Sillage and lasting power aren't great, but this actually helps the scent turn into a fresh, playful floral that fades into a powdery, musky undertone.
I don't think I will buy the full bottle, it feels pleasant but a bit generic. Bluebell is a fantasy note, but this rendition feels too artificial.

Lwelly

I can’t really describe this scent, I bought a Jo Malone sampler and this just blew me away. I bought a larger bottle on mercari and love it so much I just bought another backup. My husband loves it on me and my two girls(5 and 8) love it. I work as a nurse in long term care and had multiple young coworkers smell it to make sure it didn’t smell “old lady” before I bought it. Fresh clean slightly sweet scent. I’m planning on getting and oil version from somewhere to make soap with.

rosebudsuds

This scent is fresh floral heaven. That's all. I haven't worn it long enough to experience the drydown yet but the top and middle notes are so beautiful and fresh that I can hardly stop myself from sniffing my wrists like a maniac.

ETA: Very citrusy! Wild Bluebell reminds me of BBW Magnolia Charm in the best way possible (which was my all-time favorite BBW scent before they seemingly discontinued it). I can't really comment on the drydown for this because it retains the same light, citrusy, and floral quality for the duration of time it's on my skin. My mom also mentioned that it smelled a bit like jasmine. I would love to get the hair mist version of this.

Melis.t

This scent gives me a distinct feeling: imagine the early spring morning when weather is crisp and you see dew drops on flowers in the meadow. Gives me fairycore aesthetics :)

Tintalle

In my previous review (based on one day wearing this fragrance), I thought I wouldn't reach for Wild Bluebell very often if I owned it, although I really liked it at that time.

I went ahead and bought a small bottle and I am totally enthralled. Wild Bluebell is definitely good for all year round usage, but I think Spring and Summer are most ideal, and I may even wear Wild Bluebell more often than Red Roses this year.

I love the persimmon and aquatic notes. I don't really own many green or aquatic fragrances, and Wild Bluebell has aspects of both in the best possible way. It is also wonderfully floral.

Wild Bluebell is refreshing and charming and just so very pretty. It really is a fairytale perfume. It is one of my all time favorites already. I absolutely love it.

LadyCO

Effortlessly Pretty scent. I picture a very pretty and smart girl wearing this, she is the epitome of the "clean girl" aesthetic. But she doesn't wear sleek hair and don't follow trends, she is the trend maker. I could wear this Frangrance every day. Not overly floral not overly fruity neither powdery. Just perfect.

AinoKaroliina

Crisp florals. Cute and dainty. Refreshing and clean.

All the notes in this together really do create a feeling as if you were peacefully walking alone in the forest smelling bluebells after a light rainfall with sunrays peeking through the trees. Beautiful and calming.

Lasts around 4 hours on my skin

tip_toe

Beautiful Fragrance. Smells clean - kinda like fresh out of the shower but you bathed with scented products. You want a weird way to describe it? The smell quenches your thirst. I would pay anything to have Jo Malone come out with a longer lasting scent oil or spray.

Pros:
All season scent
Perfect for close spaces such as an office, non-offending
Clean Scent
Dry down smells similar to initial spray

Cons:
Daytime scent only
Doesn't last long

PERFUMEPILLED

Just smells kind of watery and vague. But somehow— especially at the very beginning— something about it tugged at a memory. Racking my brains trying to figure out what it is, but it’s too far back, buried deep in the Childhood files. For some reason my mind went to gift shops— like at national parks, museums, aquariums, the zoo… but that can’t be right, can it? Gift shops don’t have a “scent”. Maybe some kind of common toy?

Anyway, performance was better than expected. It’s a VERY gentle scent, sprayed a bit more than I normally would, but it lasted the entire day without even fading that much, and I actually got whiffs of it from time to time without having to put my nose right up to it.

This just wasn’t the specific scent for me, too one note and linear, but all in all I think I’m a convert to the whole Jo Malone thing— light airy watery, simply composed, barely there scents… unexpectedly really like it

kamillasjoblom

Cantaloupe and green leaves with a hint of some floral is what I get from this. It's more green and fruity than floral to me, very fresh and sweet. I really like this, the longevity is not the best but it doesn't have to be for a light day scent like this imo. Nice everyday scent to wear when I don't really want to smell like perfume. I think this works well in cold winter days too. And as a bonus, this smells exactly like the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny hair serum, the scent of which I have loved for years and have been looking for a perfume to match it.

peacedeli

The watermelon first spritz mentioned by others is accurate for me, but (thankfully) quickly transitions into a pleasant floral with a hint of...what? Dew drops? I'm not normally a fan of florals (or Jo Malone much for that matter) but there's a je-ne-se-quois in Wild Bluebells that so grounds the floral sweetness in a sophisticated and fundamentally unbasic way. Of course, it's Jo Malone, so longevity does not exist, but sprayed on clothes it does seem to last a bit longer.

adrgao

cute and crisp, zero longevity

shelbytree417

Wild Bluebell was my first Jo Malone purchase. I loved how it blended so well with the other JM scents I smelled in store and since they are known for layering, I knew I couldn't go wrong with purchasing the large bottle. I was right! It's a crisp, fresh, light floral scent that evokes prettiness. It also has a crisp, green quality to it, perhaps slightly aquatic as well. This scent pairs beautifully with Peony and Blush Suede, it adds a clean, brightness to the powdery, floral scent. Add Wood Sage and Sea Salt and now you have a light, clean, floral scent with a woodsy, aquatic undertone. English Pear and Freesia with Bluebell is divine-the bluebell cuts that tart, sourness of the EPF and balances it out to bring a softer, sweeter, floral, fruity scent. My favorite layering combo has to be Wild Bluebell, English Pear and Freesia along with Wood Sage and Sea Salt. It's a fruity, woodsy, aquatic, and floral dream-I wish I could bottle the 3 together instead of having to layer them together. Sephora sells a 9mL combo of both the Sea Salt and English Pear scent so trying the 2 of them is easy. I've learned to love all 4 of these scents and can combine them in different ways which is one of the fun qualities about the Jo Malone line and having colognes vs. EDP/EDT's.

manuelafaria

Very beautiful and fresh floral. Smells like a garden in the morning after a rainy night. But the sillage is very disappointing, i had to stick my nose in my wrist to really smell it. Not worth the price.

Feathery

Absolutely lovely for that forest-y bluebell vibe, but sadly not quite impressive enough to warrant a purchase.

nathanm0

smells cheap like a perfume from shein, but if you ignore that/when you first smell it to me it smells like a bowl of watermelon on a windy cold day

Annasuya

The online store sent this to me in the mail by mistake, but I immediately fell so in love with this one that I’ve decided not to return it. I wasn’t familiar with bluebells, and this masterpiece is a wonderful surprise!

victoriarh

I saw dewdrop listed as one of the notes and dismissed it as the kind of fantasy note that’s just there for good ad copy, but I have to say I really do get dewdrop from this! Wild Bluebell is very aquatic and green to me, only slightly floral. It reminds me of Diptyque’s Ilio a bit, but this one lasts a surprisingly long time for a fresh scent! This one goes in my sample/travel size wish list for sure.

yenmuico

smells a bit like a santo nino

Tintalle

Wild Bluebell is distinctive and very pretty. I am a rose or vanilla type of lady (with some forays into other florals like lilac, violet and jasmine), so I am not sure this is a scent I would reach for often, but I do really quite like it. It does remind me of a fairy garden and that's massively appealing. I think I may buy a small bottle soon for those days when I want to feel delicate yet magical.

evewinkle

Overpriced but a gorgeous floral fresh scent, that is unique and pairs well with Peony & Blush Suede.

nyebeperfume

Dainty and delicate. A bit overpriced though for a cologne.

AquaRegia

Wild Bluebell by Jo Malone London, a floral green fragrance, captures the essence of an elusive forest flower. Imagine a wild meadow, where bellflowers, dewdrops, green leaves, and a hint of clove intermingle in the opening, evoking a moist echo of a summer forest. While genuine English bluebell, an endangered species, doesn't partake in the composition, Jo Malone's homage lies in a donation to the Woodland Trust. The scent of the bluebell finds its recreation through various notes, a tribute to its ephemeral beauty.

Fresh, light, and smart, this fragrance exudes an aura of prettiness. It's the embodiment of a pleasant office-friendly companion, delightfully sweet without becoming cloying. A touch of royal elegance graces this perfume, as it graced the skin of Meghan Markle herself. Moderately long-lasting, it's a scent that remains close to the skin, revealing its allure in subtle hints. Consider it a royal indulgence, slightly unisex, priced as a luxury, yet its performance falls short, a fragrance fit for queens but perhaps not so much for commoners. Wild Bluebell, a fleeting echo of nature's charm, a tribute to elegance and regal allure.

LeonoraM

<3, but not on me

HopeEliza

The opening surprised me with a very distinctive watermelon note that is not listed. I think I also detect a hint of peppermint sometimes. It reminds me very much of Guerlain's Flora Salvaggia, although much smoother, more refined, and lacking the off-putting (to me) dry down. As it dries down the watermelon note fades somewhat, giving way to a very wet and green floral, presumably bellflower, although having never smelt the real deal, I couldn't say for sure. As pretty as it is ephemeral, Wild Bluebell almost immediately fades to a skin scent. Despite the longevity issues, I will definitely be investing in a full bottle, as I find it such a lovely scent, I can't stop sniffing my arm.

filencia

I tried really hard to like jo malone line, this is probably the only one that I enjoy the most. It reminds me of indonesian green tea and smells like morning dew in the middle of tea fields. It has the best longevity in comparison to other jo malone fragrance. opening notes and dried down scent is the same.

Zevota

I was expecting a floral scent, but on me it gave an overripe watermelon. Didn't feel fresh at all and I didn't catch any bluebells

ty18

if u layer this with anything else that leans the slightest fruity, it smells almost like a synthetic watermelon scent ? idk not my personal fav. it's sweet in its drydown but i find the opening to be a little polarizing. it's very subtle tho so the sillage works out for me (not too sure abt the longevity tho...)

jwelch13

Smells like cantaloupe and sweat. Crazy this what the blogs say Meghan Mariel wears. Just eww

washudtoj

The scent is lovely, but it's godawfully short-lived and lighter than a feather, even by Jo Malone standards.

I do smell very pleasant bluebell and blueberry notes, but they're so faint that I don't think it's worth the money. It's rather unique for what it is, but still...

Unless you're addicted to the brand, skip this one. It becomes an immediate skin scent which lasts barely more than an hour.

SpiderMarc

A nice feminine fragrance but not good, great or amazing.

Katchke

Really cute and fresh, but literally vanished within the hour I applied it :( used almost the entire sampler drenching myself 2 days in a row trying to give this a real fair test and oh man it just evaporates. Lily of the valley and Jasmine notes really pop but I think some of the comments on this perfume are right and that its not a "true" bluebell perfume. Not a bad smell by any means. The Jasmine is lovely and there is sort of a sweet fruity note hiding behind the florals. Very mature, but like actually a whisper of lasting power :(

alice_w

Soft and subtly sweet, like a whisper.

scentsbycobb

It would be nice if we stopped gendering perfumes… this is completely unisex! Beautiful and perfect for spring and summer.

ChloeL1uk

This fragrance is so beautiful! I wasn’t sure if I’d like it as it’s floral, and I’m more fruity or aquatic with the fragrances I typically like. I tried this on in store and was instantly hooked!
When you first apply it, it smells floral and lemon, then as it dries down you can really notice a slight hint of peach.
It’s not overpowering but it also has a beautiful lid-power projection. I’ve tried so many Jo Malone fragrances and this is one of my favourites.
I’ve decided this is my wedding fragrance, and my fiancé loves it too!

saturnsays

The moment I sprayed it, before it even hit my body, I felt ill. A dank undertone that I now think might ambrox or cetalox or something like that. The worst part is that I couldn't get it off!! Soap and water, followed by isopropyl alcohol and it stuck on me for hours longer. Absolutely horrifyingly synthetic.

AllyMage

Such a pretty scent. Too bad I had to reapply it 4 times through the day. I have a 1oz bottle and judging by the weakness of this fragrance, I'll get to wear it maybe 3 times before it's gone 😂

NurseElle

This is beautiful. Delicate and graceful. Reminds me very much of Aqua Allegoria Flora Salvaggia- Guerlain. As with most Jo Malone not the greatest staying power (<3hours) but I'm enjoying it anyway!
Feels like honeysuckle should be listed..?

Sonjamaria

Watery and fresh, dewy scent that pulls towards persimmon almost a bit too much to my liking. I wish it'd turn more peachy on my skin, but I feel like I'm smelling like a photorealistic persimmon :D

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

A very sweet and happy fragrance that makes you feel like you just cut open a watermelon on a warm day!

Wild bluebell is a bright, fresh, sweet watermelon scent that dries down to a slightly less sweet, but still very ripe watermelon. Unfortunately for me, it doesn't last all too long on my skin and it is quite pricy for the somewhat weak performance. I still really enjoy it for the short 2 hours it lasts!

cwavah

I find this unique and beautiful because of the bluebell flower ... def bottle worthy and sexy ... Good for date nights ...the blue bell definatly doing the magic .. thanks to nose nagel....

Tantah1

A wonderful saleswoman at BG in NYC gave me the sample vial and I am forever grateful. Purchased a bottle almost immediately. The subtly sweet spice of Persimmon is what makes this fragrance unique. Truly resembles nothing in the typical white floral ranges. Has some longevity during the day. Especially pleasant during the raging, burning smoke smothering us now.

SweetSmith0921

I love this scent! I love the fresh grass smell. The Wild Bluebell lasts longer on clothes than skin. I have a few that are like that, so I spray all over. Perfect for Spring. This compliments a few other scents I own quite nicely. Fresh and floral. Lovely.

Smells modestly natural. lilly of the valley, fresh cuts grass and water. It has all the potential but longevity is really non existent. I can't believe they sell it at this price level

Gunel11

If you like honeysuckle you will like it😌

Stundevil

The price point is completely ridiculous. I knew it wouldn’t last or project going in and that’s very accurate. I get a strong persimmon scent at first, then it smells of yellow flowers. Then, it starts going into a sort of dewy direction with a green scent in there somewhere. Then, there’s a sort of weird phase it goes through on me where it smells kinda weird almost grandma-ish. Then it turns into a soapy scent. Almost dryer sheet territory. Then it fades into a sweet floral drydown. I have a scent that is slightly like this. It’s called Fable. Fable doesn’t transform on me, but this does. I don’t really care for Fable and I’m not sure I much care for Wild Bluebell. We’ll see

Wild Bluebell

Such a beautiful, feminine, light scent. Definitely going to be wearing this a lot. I'd say it's office safe. Longevity on skin kinda sucks, the projection is almost nothing by around 4 hours. I will try it on clothes, i think most Jo Malone scents work better longevity-wise on clothes than skin.

Immediately after spraying, definitely catching that dewdrop vibe. Beautiful, fresh, almost aquatic, and getting some green, fresh floral. Smells like a garden of green grass and flowers at dawn. The clove comes in a bit later for me and deepens the scent. I love this scent, i only wish it would last longer on skin.

Sweetandlightgal

Blind bought the 30 ml from TJ Maxx. I'm not usually into floral scents, but this one is so delicate and pretty, with a fresh watery dew drop note and sweet fruity floral. Super fresh and uplifting. Very strong love for this! I will wear it every spring. Very inoffensive and great for layering. You cannot overspray this. Unfortunately it has an intimate sillage after just an hour. I've purchased the oil perfumery dupe in an attempt to give it a bit more oomph. My current favorite fragrance to layer with it is Miim Miic 52 (sweet strawberry milk). Absolutely delicious combo. My husband compliments me every time.

JDM3000

Absolutely gorgeous scent, but despite a few tries of my sample, the scent was completely gone within an hour. Other Jo Malone scents have much better staying power. It's a shame, scent wise this would have been a favorite.

elsakoc

When lavender land series was still continued, the website recommended Wild Bluebell be layered with Silver birch&lavender. As silver birch and lavender is still on the market, i have to tell you—DONT.DO.IT. While wild bluebell is a soft and agreeable scent and may be well for blending with some other like wood sage and sea salt, it is still one of JML’s strongest floral scents. It is paradoxical how a scent so green and white floral can have such a strong effect and i think it is partly due to the persimmon note while still being powdery-ish daytime spring go-to. I definitely smell persimmons strongly along with the bellflower. Persimmons are one of the sweetest fruits out there, both fresh and dried. We grow it at our farm. So to me it is very noticeable. İ layered this with miss dior cherie and wow, amazing—even aldehydic. Despite there are none.

millieradish

soft, sweet, layer-able florals. I love this with L'eau de Neroli from Diptyque or Bergamote 22 from Le Labo. By itself it's innocent and youthful. Definitely a daytime scent.

Birona

This fragrance practically screams Spring at me when I use it. While a bit sweet for my taste, the freshness of the green and floral notes keeps me coming back. It's light, feminine, and pleasant. I don't go nose-blind while wearing it, and I can smell it on me all day. I like to layer it with Jo Malone's Wood Sage and Sea Salt and Eccentric Molecule No1 (which smells like Sea Salt on me), so I can envision myself by a seaside cliff covered in bluebells, like the book Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.

minthecremenoine

When I smelled it, I didn’t even know what I was picking up. All I know was it smelled like the colour dark purplish blue. It smelled calm, like sleep. It is a really cool and relaxing scent. Very unisex.

islandgirlmaranda

I had no idea what this would smell like so I've done a skin test. Instant reaction...Watermelon Candy & Flowers! Smells edible in some odd way! As it dries down it becomes less candied watermelon and turns into a REAL melon scent, like fresh & juicy honeydew or cantaloupe. WOW. This is CRAZY GOOD! The flowers in this are amazing too (bellflower? bluebell?) Their website lists lily of the valley & elgatine. But I am surprised that melon isn't in the scent profile. Maybe that's what persimmon is. I've never had one. My goodness this is so dang good. I can't stop smelling my arm. Just picture melon, rain kissed leaves, and some light florals. HEAVEN!!!!! (A pinch of clean laundry vibe towards the end??)

Ki.marie

To me this smells like the undertones of Alien Goddess. Very sheer and floral but I love it . I got the 30ml for $60 at TJ max.

Messidor

The cologne per se is not bad, but after Miniso released a dupe that costs only a fraction, I feel reluctant to rate it as a like. The scent, to sum up, is floral watermelon. Fresh as it is, it's too simple to be relished. Worse still, this simple cologne became so popular, thanks to Estee Lauder's genius marketing strategies targeting at naïve young users in China, that my nose soon grew tired to the scent after encountering it quite a few times in shopping malls -- oh right, what I encountered probably was Miniso's dupe XD, who knows, they are just so similar. $100+/100ml to smell like many other girls? No, thanks.

gabkins

I have no idea what bluebell smells like, but to me the strongest note is HONEYSUCKLE!

ericah12345

This is such a pretty fragrance. It might seem underwhelming at first but when you wear it more often, you'll learn to appreciate how beautiful and delicate it is! Trust me on this one. It starts with basic melon vibes but then develops into smelling like dewy wild flowers. Just like a meadow after rain. On my skin it stays smelling like and doesn't develop much from there. And I love it! Wearing this makes me feel so fresh for the whole day. I also get good 6-8 hours of wear with this one which is great. I actually think Wild Bluebell's dry down is quite unique and I can't think of anything that smells just like it. Great for everyday wear and for any occasion really. If you have migraine but would still like to smell nice, I think Wild Bluebell could be a good choice.

zombieldehyde

It smells like an unopened, green watermelon. The grassy notes dominate this fragrance.

barwench

Initially, I hated this scent. It was quite sharp and sweet to my nose. Picking it up a few weeks later, the floral is less prominent and now I can smell a strong grassy, green note. To me, this would be good to layer with other scents that need to be balanced with a green note.

Juicelove

Enjoy this Wild Bluebell by Jo Malone. Received a sample along with an order placed through Nordstrom. Enjoying our rain this Winter here in Southern California so spraying this on was a nice change to my normal richer perfumes... Wild Bluebell plays lightly like the rain drawing one to the garden green...She is pretty, perky and awake.
Not unisex to my nose at least not traditional "unisex" at all.
This is sweet green fresh minus anything irritating. Watery mermaid taking a walk in the garden after or during a light rain. It is magical & somewhat sweet but good easy sweet nothing cloying. Can see this going into Spring and Summer. It is light, yet as I am working around the house several hours later she is "very there" and true to her initial "hello"...
Good layering scent as Jo Malone is known for but love it all by itself. Will be purchasing their largest bottle soon : )

h149

I got a strong "mosquito repellent" at the opening spritz. I want to blame it on how I'm reading the fruitiness, which is strongly melony...it does help take the feminine edge off the frag's strong white floralness, so if that's what they were trying to achieve they achieved it.

After it calmed down and merged with my skin more...it unfortunately persisted in smelling a bit like mosquito repellent. I don't know if it's because I've been eating them recently as they're in season where I live, but I'm getting almost nothing but crispy fresh-cut persimmon out of this. Which is not necessarily unpleasant by any means but not exactly what I was wanting out of something called "Wild Bluebell." For me it's very much "Sitting on the Porch in the Morning Eating Persimmon Wedges."

lightresolution

I really wanted to like this perfume. This is a super crisp, green, and sweet floral scent, it's what I imagine stepping into a fairy garden after rain smells like. You can really smell how fresh and green this fragrance is before it fades to a softer, sweeter floral scent after a couple hours.
However, with that being said, I absolutely hated this perfume. It is a very strong and heavy floral fragrance that is very reminicent of jasmine and lily of the valley. It smells amazing to me at first but I get a massive headache less than 15 minutes into wearing this fragrance. It also smells like a squashed stinkbug to me, I wish I was kidding but I'm not, I know that not everyone can smell brown marmorated stink bug stink but I can and this perfume reminds me of that and it is very gross.
TLDR: if you're into florals like jasmine and lily of the valley, this is great for you, if you don't like florals and are headache prone, maybe not

qth3r1n3

When I first sprayed this, I immediately thought of jasmine. I grew up across a church where children would sell necklaces made of jasmine. In that church, it had trees that bloomed yellow bell flowers. So when I first sniffed this, I immediately associated it with jasmine and yellow bell flowers from my childhood.

This cologne is light, airy, unisex and sophisticated. It layers well with Indian Jasmine from Nest, makes it more fresh and young if that's even possible?

I love this scent and how it brings back my childhood innocence. It's perfect for a professional setting, as a day time scent and summer scent. It lasts a long time on my skin though it doesn't project as it's more intimate. Either way, worth the full size bottle!

Air of Grace

Got a Jo Malone discovery and I’m excited to go through five scents to review .

Wild Bluebell was the one I was looking forward to review as I’m partial to green florals .

This is a sheer, fresh , uncomplicated scent on the same lines as Amouage Reflection with the fruity notes giving a bit of sweetness , not too much though .

The green notes is making this scent very stemmy and I prefer smelling more of the bluebell.

It’s a very pretty scent but the fragrances from Jo Malone’s perfume house seem to be too watered down and transparent for my tastes. Understand it’s a cologne but way too expensive for a fragrance that only lasts a few hours . Just a touch of depth would win me over .

I have Amouage Reflection so I don’t think I would purchase a bottle of Wild Bluebell . As much as it’s pretty, I don’t seem to get outstanding with any of her fragrances to date .

Let’s see if any of the other samples change my mind .

Update : Jo Malone perfume house is a miss with me . None are bottle worthy

VioletDr

It has a laundry-esk vibe to me in a good way. It smells clean and somewhat unisex but feminine leaning to me. Moreover, it's one of few green-leaning fragrances I like. If you used to rock Kenzo l'eau 10-15 years ago like me, you should definitely smell this one.

jero

When I don't mind people know I wear a perfume (and actually have no idea in mind), I have few Addict EDT, when I don't want people know I wear a perfume (but there is), I have some Wild Bluebell, always a rountin, it's belonged to I-don't-wear-perfumes, the Byredo tribe, an idea very welcomed here.

Seldom to see Jo Malone named in one species, I think this stands for a soliflore, Hyacinthoides non-scripta, and the icon on the note-list for bellflower here is wrong, it shows Campanula, scentless.

Sweetfemme

Very pretty scent.
Soft, delicate, beautiful, and sheer are a few words I’d use to describe this fragrance.

It’s very green, but the permission prevents it from being too “grassy”

The floral notes are realistic smelling so it won’t burn your nose lol. They are fresh and dewy.

Initially it reminds me of playing in my grandmas backyard as a kid and then having a break to eat a slice of fruit like watermelon and persimmons then going back to play outside with a surrounding garden.

Someone mentioned it smells like a garden after the rain and I agree.

Juliet Sistine

This reminds me of a bluebell and/or lotus mist that I used all through high school and into college from Bath and Body Works, which was called Crystal Blue Waters! I don’t reminisce about B&BW often, but Crystal Blue Waters was wonderful and I’m so happy to have something similar! Definitely a favorite! :)

toastgirl5

This is a sweet and cloying bluebell scent. It sadly gave me a headache. I really wanted to like this as I love the idea of a bluebell perfume and its fun fairy imagery...
It has a dampness to it, like a garden after the rain. It reminds me of the The Library of Fragrance's Wet Garden - it basically smells the exact same.
It isn't fresh or sharp, but negatively sweet and heavy. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is something unpleasant about the wetness of this scent. If a garden smelt like this it would be lovely, but on the skin it is too much. Sad!
Would be much more pleasant if it was balanced out with some fresher, lighter note perhaps...

frag_nostalgia

Absolutely reminds me of the smell of stemmy lily of the valley, in the morning sun of early summer. Evokes a nostalgia of playing in the yard of my first house, with my son when he was a baby, where lily of the valley grew all along the fence line. Pretty, soapy, breezy; a fresh floral nostalgic scent.

imperfect-angel

Too soapy it cause me headache.

vrinsun

I’m living in a place where there is Jasmine everywhere, and let me tell you guys
This is a Jasmine bomb, a realistic Jasmine bomb.
It smells like an authentic indian jasmine essential oil.
I’m not a fan of a realistic Jasmine scent, and this is a jasmine dominant fragrance, I can’t even smell anything besides that.
If you love Jasmine, this one is for you

staceydtb

Wild Bluebell is the most feminine scent I own to date. It's uncomplicated that stays mostly the same from the opening to its dry-down. It is a youthful yet modern kind of powdery that I'll never get tired of having in my rotation. Sillage and longevity are alright; this juice is inoffensive.

The only caveat is its price point, but this is the type of beauty you don't expect to be cheap.

zenbabylove

It’s a watercolor painting of a fragrance: sheer, transparent, clear, clean; a blend of light colors, flowers,H20,watermelon and cucumbers. It has the scent of walking out into nature somewhere and this fragrance quietly appears out of nowhere for just a moment.I love it! I have used 4-5 bottles and I very rarely repeat buy perfume.I use it for spring and summer because it’s extremely light.

rainydays

Grandma's bathroom... But not in a bad way? I'm getting vibes of clean, fluffy towels and expensive soaps and lotions. A little green and a little sweet but mostly powdery. This is pleasant but not what I want to smell like.

East River Pearl

This scent is lovely and fresh and it reads as very delicate. It is which also quite intensely sweet which I don't mind but may be too much for some. Firmly feminine and leaning youthful due to the jellybean like sweetness. Mild longevity and silage.

Edited to add: On second wear, my impression was less sweet and more a quite green floral.

RobynCrabtree

This is a beautiful, light, delicate floral scent. It brings up images of a pure, innocent, young woman (maybe even girl?) in a white dress playing in a field of flowers. I think it would be a perfect scent to meet the parents with. I would say it is the exact opposite of sexy winter date night. Perfectly non-offensive, but perhaps too light to justify the price tag. This would layer great with other scents though!

Cynthia30

Blind smell

* Fruity floral. The floral is like white florals and Petalia, the fruit is like pear and green apple.
* Masculine leaning white musk, although a woman would probably wear it ( Tilda Swinton types)
* Slightly stronger smelling than most JM smells, that's not saying much
* Prominent green notes which are easier to smell in the skin. Generic green as well as something that smells like crushed agapanthus stalks or a crushed stinkbug or a milky ointment
* Soapy drydown

I absolutely love the milky medicinal vegetal note! Better marketed as Lotus shampoo.... It's watery, white/pink, milky and stem-like, ( imagine breaking the stem of the lotus and getting those milky strands of lotus silk) ...imagine the green head/pod of the lotus with holes.

astridkh3

Bought a sample of this per the recommendation of a Disney fan who said this smelled like Flight of Passage. I can definitely get that resemblance, but I’m mostly glad I bought a sample because it’s actually just a beautiful perfume! It’s a Very light, fresh, sweet floral. While I don’t smell peach specifically, I definitely can smell that slight fruitiness once it dries down. I would spring for a full bottle of this but the lasting power (like most other Jo Malone’s) is non existent. I have to reapply every 2 hours to keep the smell going. Cannot justify the price tag when it had the same lasting power as a body mist.

hnfragile

I once read a review that described this beauty as a fairy scent and I couldn't agree more. Absolutely love love love it. To me, this is a perfection am looking for in a perfume: airy, cheery and uplifting, in an inoffensive way. I know Jo Malone's is often complained for poor performance, but I live in a tropically hot and humid place, and spend a lot of time in office and in meetings, so I really don't mind its performance at all. I love this so much and always have to make sure I have a full bottle in reserve. Definitely a recommendation for summer.

Briannaw3794

This is a confusing one for me. There are some days I love this on me and some days I am scrubbing my skin raw trying to get it off. Does anyone else experience this with any perfume?? Idk. I want to love this one but I just can’t because of when it does go dirty on me. I either smell like a water nymph lounging on a rock under a flowering tree, or I smell like my grandma…

kleine

On paper this was a delicate floral/green scent with a moist earthy note to it. Reminded me of Tokyomilk’s Crushed, although it’s been a long time since I’ve smelled that one.

On me though Wild Bluebell smelled like watermelon! The initial spray smelled more like it had on the strip, with floral and green and watery notes discernable, and the scent projected to arm’s length. After about half an hour it dried down to a crisp, light, very realistic watermelon skin scent. Another reviewer said that it smelled like the crisp white part near the rind, and that is exactly it.

All told it lasted around six hours on me. It was pleasant and would be nice in the summer.

AlliCat1215

Beautiful light floral, but as with most jo Malone stuff, points deducted for poor performance.

sammydaniels

Absolutely gorgeous! Light watery and juicy so it just smells delicious!

kfleur

Had this in high school (the only perfume I've ever emptied) and recently repurchased so it's very nostalgic for me. A classy, juicy, and dewy fruity floral. It encapsulates the idea of a bluebell and smells like what you would imagine a bluebell to smell like regardless of how the flower actually smells. Great for a bright spring or summer day.
Pretty poor sillage and lasting power but that's to be expected with Jo Malone so I'll forgive it with this scent.

Dawnzle

This was a blind buy that has quickly become one of my favourite fragrances. I normally don’t love fruity florals but there is something cold, contemplative, and unique about this. It’s the perfect fragrance for a Spring day, and is also really nice to wear when it’s raining. The lasting power is also great especially for a Jo Malone fragrance.

me_ugghhh

this smells exactly how it’s priced lol. Does not smell cheap at all, a super classy scent for the sophisticated woman. It reminds me of perfect by marc jacobs. a lot of reviews say the scent doesn’t last but I find it lasts a few hours. will definitely buy more jo malone perfumes in the future. perfect scent for spring & summer.

onlythesun321

This is exactly what I was hoping it would be. This smells like a spring morning after it rained the night before, a sunwarmed garden with the leaves still slightly damp with dew. The green notes cut the sweetness and temper the floral scent without diminishing or overpowering it. This smells like your cool aunt's garden.

This is definitely a skin scent, and it doesn't last super long. Definitely longer than some other Jo Malone fragrances, but that's not a very high bar. It's absolutely gorgeous but I'm not sure if it's worth it to buy a whole bottle, since I'd have to overspray to get anything and it fades pretty quickly. But I'm going to have to hold myself back from just buying one because god, is this everything I wanted.

Lykopa

This is like a more disappointing version of Wisteria Blue by Nest. The bluebell is nice but the powderiness feels like this scent could wash away if you wave your arm too hard. I like the fruity undertones. And it certainly does smell like dew drop. It remind me of what watermelon candy wants to be. I can imagine this to be gorgeous on Silvermist from Tinkerbell or someone like her.

Crystalita76

Wild Bluebell 💙
Unique and fresh.
The first time I smelled this beauty, I was completely intrigued.
It is different from other fragrances I’ve smelled.
It opens up with this fresh green yet muted floral notes.
And if I were to associate a color with this fragrance it would be blue green.
It’s not a vine or stem type of green. But more like the fleshy type that carries a semi-sweetness to it.
The scent cloud is just lovely.
But the projection and longevity are the only things that I’m sad about with this fragrance.
I don’t care though.
She is a Diamond 💎
My favorite from Jo Malone.

flawra153

smells like watermelon at first but not the artificial one. when it dries down, it smells powdery, slightly sweet floral, fresh and watery. don't blind buy this scent because this scent is not for everyone. projection, sillage, longevity is really good on me. 9/10

prava.slava.mama

This is lovely, and smells exactly (EXACTLY) like a fresh watermelon. Specifically, the white part right by the rind. So sweet, but not cloying, not artificial or candy-like at all, but fresh and crisp. I enjoyed wearing my sample, though after a while it's like.... okay, yep, still smells just like fresh watermelon rind! So probably best for layering with another floral or maybe something citrusy, or a green tea. Super super cool and pretty for hot weather. I can't afford to pay this much for a one-note wonder, but I did indulge in a decant for spritzing this summer.

Edit: after wearing for several days, I am still enjoying this sweet, delicate fragrance. It's not too linear for me, layering it is indeed fun but it's still making me quite happy on its own. I may need a bigger decant...

Further edit: nope, it’s amazing, I bought a small bottle on eBay and I think I’ll have it in my permanent rotation. I find that it stays on me for hours, especially if I spray my hairline (back of my neck) and inside my blouse. It won’t project across the room but you’ll enjoy lovely whiffs all day. It’s a love!

dinobarding

Like others say, it's nostalgic, like something I'd have smelled in my grandma's bathroom in the mornings. Floral all the way through, like I'm walking in a field of flowers just after the sun's come up and things are starting to dry down after a wet night. A little bitter, too.

To be completely honest, I wanted to try this because I heard that it was Meghan Markle's favorite scent, but it's definitely better for layering in my opinion (I'd imagine a vanilla might be a nice one) (also layering is not something I like to do, so I am biased). So unless you want to smell like grandma bathroom, layer it or find something else. Not my cup of tea, but that's just me.

churinl

This was a blind buy. I think it's a beautiful, light, fresh floral, perfect for spring and summer. I knew what I was getting into re longevity, et al, since it's Jo Malone and a cologne (wish she would do EDPs!), and it's somewhat better than anticipated. I purchased the 1 oz bottle, but I think I need a larger one because of the need to respray and because I can see myself reaching for it quite a bit the rest of spring and the summer.
There are others in her collection that I am fond of, but it's really a lot of money to spend for little return. But I am very happy to have this one - something about "bluebells" piques my interest!

Mirille

This one is very light, but not unpleasant. I smell mostly a powdery, light floral. Definitely puts me in mind of putting your nose to some pretty wildflowers and straining to barely get a hint of scent. It might be something easy to use when I want to smell fresh, but do not want to smell like I am wearing perfume. Otherwise, I do not think there is much role for this one in my life right now.

missmorganbaby

Definitely a powdery musky white floral on my skin. But very violet on my clothes. Still light and fresh and perfect for work. Not offensive at all.

benavida

This is going to end up being mostly powdery musk on most people so how you like this largely depends on how much you like a basic sweet musk frag, but I do think the peach/persimmon accord lends the drydown a fruity sweetness that makes it more interesting than usual. Sits VERY close to the body and longevity is meh. But easy to wear.

liebecherie

This smells like fresh watermelon at first. As it dries down some of the floral comes through. When the weather is warmer, this is really sweet and strong on my skin. I think this is a beautiful scent on the right person.

habronattus8

This has a surprising mix of coldness and youthfulness, but is also very linear and kind of “monotone.” It smells like straight up violet. Beautiful, slightly bitter fragrance. I adore it, but I can see that it’s not for everyone. I agree with what some others said that this has a nostalgic element to it. It reminds me of C. Howard’s violet candies in scent form. It reminds me of childhood, and yet is not dated. The lasting power makes it a bit of a ghost. I don’t smell the melon that others are getting.

coffeefifofum

Smells like sweet water blended with a floral fantasy note about a field of wildflowers. Half a step off from honeysuckle, which I love, but very sweet. Gets somewhat stronger as it dries. I'd expect depth from the cloves, persimmon, and base notes, but I'm not getting any hint of the scents or the depth. The peach is more sweetness than a peach note. An easy summer scent to wear with strappy sandals and loose dresses.

tirput

Wild Bluebell minds its own business. Calm and inoffensive, it stays close to skin. A great perfume for those who are into fresh watery green floral realm. Doesn't charm me enough though. Like any other fragrances from Jo Malone, this one is transparent so you can use your creativity to layer it.

Perfumer: Christine Nagel

bazbazar

Sitting down by a platter of juicy, fresh watermelon by on a warm spring morning as a cool breeze passes by somewhere in a garden in the South of France is how this cologne feels. As a floral lover that really dislikes most "clean skin" or "fresh laundry" perfumes, this is the scent I swear by on those days I want to go with a clean "my skin but better": It does not distract, is far from cloying or annoying (which I notice among fruity fragrances often) and is sweet, but in a drop of honey manner rather than a batch of warm cookies one. There is absolutely no longevity, however, which can be a plus if you don't want a smell lingering on you all day.

stalebread

my first perfume buy (just a small mini size), but i enjoy the scent a lot! the initial hit feels very melon-like to me, which gives me a spring-summer impression that i really like <3 i have no basis for the smell of bluebells, so to me this just registers as fruity to me on first spray, and then settling into something more floral after. very much light though, and definitely overpriced despite how much i like it.

Slightly

Smells whimsically like watermelon.
Clean, flesh and last like a breeze ~

luminaries

I have no idea what bluebells are supposed to smell like, I have seen them when hiking in the mountains, but I've never stopped to distinguish them from the overall scent of wildflowers in the air (though I will try to smell them this summer, I think!). This perfume has a light floral quality to it that reminds me of freesia and Korean peaches, it's very aquatic and crisp and pretty. I usually love Jo Malone and Christine Nagel's creations so it's not a surprise that I love this light and transparent scent as well. It does have worse longevity than other Jo Malone's I've used, it was probably closer to the 3-4 hour mark, but longevity isn't as important to me as scent is so I don't mind.

Rosieko

Finally found a favorite perfume. Finally :)
I don’t like strong, warm, cloyingly sweet perfumes like Chanel Eau Fraiche. Wild bluebell is the perfect, soft/gentle watery scent that I’ve been searching for.
This is ever so subtly sweet & cool/fresh.

This is literally the perfect scent that I’ve been searching for :’)

And this perfume definitely isn’t like a majority of the other jo Malone perfumes which all just smell like cleaning sprays

looraw

This one really does give the feel of quivering little bluebell saplings. I love it, although don’t personally want to smell like it as the magic can swerve into candied blueberry/watermelon territory for me. Unfortunately a bit too sweet to put on my body but will certainly revisit at the store in future for sniffs.

SensitiveRecluse

Wild Bluebell is a youthful, aquatic floral that is elegant and soft. It's quite linear on me, smelling simultaneously of fresh cut watermelon, and farmer's market flowers with dewdrops still clinging to the flower petals. When I say it smells like watermelon, I don't mean a watermelon jolly rancher, instead I mean slicing into a fresh watermelon on a hot summer's day-- watery, and slightly sweet.

I think I love this fragrance so much because of how nostalgic it is-- the watermelon from my childhood, the Pike Place Market flowers from weekend trips to Seattle, and the memories of the Romanian countryside from the summer I wore Wild Bluebell. The only downside is the longevity. I swear this fragrance (like most Jo Malone fragrances) lasts 30 minutes before fading into a skin scent. But it's just so pretty, and I have so many lovely memories tied to it, that I will always love it.

e s s e n n s e n

On every beauty editor list of favorites, you'll find at least one Jo Malone fragrance listed. In my recent quest to try all the perfumes (exaggerating of course but I have tried around 50 frags in the last 6 weeks. I digress) I have purchased several decants of various Jo Malones.

To be honest I haven't been very impressed by any of them. This one is by far not the worst I've tried, but if it's one of the best, then either Jo Malone's marketing company deserves major props (possible), my nose is much more drawn to complicated, more mature fragrances (I do love me some powdery notes), or my body chemistry is wonky in a very princess and the pea kind of way (highly likely). Maybe it's a combination of the three.

Wild Bluebell isn't bad, but it's not great. I smell bluebell, I guess. Nothing else. No peach, no powder. It's not even a sophisticated bluebell - very synthetic. And if there is anything else I can pick up, I would say it's a faint aroma of cheap ballpoint pen ink.

I've read that this is Meghan Markle's favorite Jo Malone. Is Jo Malone to England what Ed Debevic's is to Chicago? A touristy/sentimental type of line? Because I can't imagine her actually wearing this.

I just don't get it. Every single one I've tried is so basic - maybe that's how they upsell? they want their customers to combine fragrances to make it their own? No thanks.

I have a bizarre association with this one. I tested a deluxe sample while I was watching Broadchurch. If you've seen this intense murder drama, you know there's a specific reference to bluebells in Season 3.

I took the sample with me when I went on vacation, and now it lives in my travel bag. So to me, WIld Bluebell = brutal murder, Australia, and the Florida Keys. Weird.

I don't love the fragrance, but I do? There's something refreshing about the green notes, and it's nice layered with the English Pear & Freesia lotion. Would be happy with more sample bottles, but I doubt I'd finish a full one.

aloe_tree

I love the way this perfume makes me feel: like I’m lying in a field of grass under a huge apricot tree, with dew-covered apricots falling to the ground all round me. I’m not usually into fruity scents, but I get apricot (probably a combination of the peach and persimmon) more strongly than any florals. Before smelling this, I would have scoffed at the idea of ‘dew drops’ being a fragrance note, but somehow they are there. Nothing about this feels artificial, and I don’t get the watermelon some reviewers have mentioned.
Perfect for wearing during summer rain, as it’s so wet and dewy.

AnastasiaS

It’s a beautiful day fragrance. Fresh, transparent, light, very feminine, but it’s not a “clean” scent. It’s a smell of damp. Has a bit of Kenzo/Philosykos vibe to it. I definitely get whiffs of fresh cut grass, watermelon or wet greens, but in a sweet manner. I can see why people might be reluctant to it. It’s unique smell that certainly differs. I always get noticed with this one & get compliments, mostly from men. However it’s not my favorite, since for me it’s just “nice” and nothing more. I’d say it’s good for younger crowd or as a Sunday afternoon tea fragrance for older women, since it absolutely lacks allure & sex appeal. On me it projected strongly so I wouldn’t recommend it for office neither. I have 100ml and it’s been 3-4 years and I still can’t finish the bottle. It’s so unique that you get tired of it very quickly.

nickinicole

Fresh and green that smells like what I imagine the color purple would (well, without the grape or lavender). A previous reviewer mentioned that the opening somehow smells like watermelon, and I agree! I love it, but wouldn't repurchase because it's too light and doesn't have the longevity of other Jo Malone favs

saraheday2002

I love it so much! It smells watery and pleasant, not too noticeable or projecting, but I think that adds to how classy it smells! Whenever I wear this I feel so clean and put together!

hotrodangel

To me, this smells exactly like that synthetic watermelon flavouring you get in jelly beans and cheap lip gloss. It’s perfectly pleasant in a Hollister body spray kind of way, but at this kind of price? Nah

d_silent_one

Smells like very diluted bleach on my skin.

japanese_newbee

A clean scent of unripe persimmons is impressive. There is a little sweet smell of musk in a last note, though from top to middle is not sweet but soft. I have an image of an early autumn wind to this fragrance.

It can't be helped because it's a cologne, but it's a pity that it doesn't last.

Marisa36

I love all things Jo Malone, so thought it would be a safe blind buy. Not so much. All I smell is wet grass on a very hot day. Makes my stomach turn. Sweet floral lovers, proceed with caution. Stick to Peony and Blush Suede, English Pear and Freesia and Red Roses. Even Wood Sage & Sea Salt if you must. Smell before you buy especially at this price point. When am I ever going to learn?!

margielaenthusiast

it smells very fresh, but doesnt last long on me (4 hours at most i would say)

i dont enjoy it much, since in my opinion it smells kind of cold and really really green but i think it would work on someone else :)

Snowflake8000

I’m really enjoying how soft and fresh this fragrance is — bought a 1.5ml tester. I think this is great for layering. There’s a very good chance I will purchase this in full size at some point.

GwenH

Soapy. Floral. Clean.

I think the green / slightly vegetable notes in this one keeps it a healthy step up from being bland.
I definitely get a sweet, organic tomato accord - which I appreciate!
It's definitely something a little more interesting than the average dewy-green fragrance.

The opening was a little headache inducing for me but the dry down, I believe, is what the hype is all about.
To my nose, this is a fresh vegetable, non-spicy, soapy-floral that (somewhat) reminds me of Reflection Woman by Amouage.

Its not something I am currently in the market for, and if I ever am I would get Reflection Woman instead, but happy I sampled it and I recommend others check it out!

7/10

((Update: This one grew on me over time. Every time I wore the sample I was complimented, and I don't even think Winter is the best season to be wearing this perfume. Honestly, the clean sweet-tomato note I pick up is something I've grown to really appreciate. I like Wild Bluebell's dry down best. Bumped it up to an 8 / 10 from me!))

GenevaX

This is very pretty and I can see why it's so popular. It's a fresh, dewy floral with enough fruit and green to work for those who "don't like florals" (a phrase I hear a lot and still don't fully understand). After bluebell, there's the strong, tart fruit note of peach and a persimmon that reads closer to citrus rind. I don't sense powder or clove, which is a shame, as I think a touch of warm spice would distinguish this pretty but fairly generic scent. I don't love this, but I understand why many do. It's the equivalent of blue jeans and a crisp white shirt with nice shade of lipstick - casual and unassuming but well-groomed.

emma katherine

Beautiful floral that definitely smells like the colour blue. I smelled this in-store, wanted to buy it and saw the 2020 version with the blue dots on the bottle so opted for that bottle instead. Didn't realise until I got home that the smell differs slightly. It is identical but the 2020 bottle has less of a powdery violet note with more focus on the watery floral notes. I prefer the newer one but both are incredible

perfumed_phd

I wish I could bathe in Wild Bluebell- it's so fresh with subtly sweet peach nectar and dewy wildflower greens and florals. It's like a spring meadow at dawn covered in morning dew. I think this is one of JM's best perfumes and a wildly successful and unique fruity floral.

GinCatsBooks

I really think I need a bottle of this!

I recieved a sample of Wild Bluebell with a purchase of Wood Sage & Sea Salt last summer, I had a look at reviews etc and had a small spritz on a piece of card, to my nose on card it smelt an awful lot like Kenzo L'eau Par which I already owned so I kinda just shoved my sample with my others and pretty much forgot about it until recently...
Quite honestly I was silly to not test on skin, this smells totally different to L'eau Par on my skin.

Wild Bluebell opens up with that all too familiar melon/calone note which is associated with 90's aquatic releases such as Cool Water, L'eau D'issey and, as I mentioned, Kenzo L'eau Par, except, on my skin it quickly changes from melon to an aquatic cucumber note before morphing into a more green, vegetal note which reminds me of a vegetable garden during the rain, picture it; its a hot day and you're sat in your friends country cottage garden in which they grow cucumbers and their garden backs onto a wooded area where a cluster of bluebells spring up each year, you're drinking your 3rd cup of coffee and happily chatting until you both feel cold, refreshing drops on your skin, as you both begin to take your plates and cups inside you catch a whiff of petrichor mixing with the gentle florals of the bluebells in the wood and your friends home grown cucumbers.

The silage is soft but the longevity is pretty good on my skin; 6 hours from 4 spritzes, I will be totally honest though, I never really seem to have any problems with Jo Malone scents not lasting on my skin.
I really agree and feel the whole "echo of a moist summer forest" concept of this scent, I really don't think you can get more Country Garden than this in my opinion. If it wasnt for the fact JM have hiked their prices I'd look at buying a full sized bottle ASAP but until then, I'll eak my sample out to last a while longer.

Marina.Klr

Green, clean, herbal and very fresh. It smells “organic” to me, reminds me of a garden, an orchard and the fresh vegetables that grow there. This is the scent of the countryside 🌿🌷

scnofthcrime

A clean, lightly sweet, dewy floral. Very sheer and inoffensive. I like this for freshening up in the middle of the day if I feel sweaty so it lives in my work bag. I bought mine before JM raised the prices on their 30 ml bottles, I'm not sure if i would repurchase it for the increased price.

kaylietam

Wild Bluebell is one of the most popular Jo Malone scent, but it doesn't work for me at all because I found the strong aquatic notes overbearing. Of all the Jo Malone scents I've tried, this has the strongest lasting power and projection by far, but unfortunately it induced a major headache for me the whole day while wearing it. It strongly reminds me of Marc Jacob's Daisy.

Flemeth

I can't believe this is not a 90s fragrance. I was hoping to be transported into a forest with bluebells, but instead I time travelled to my childhood (I'm not complaining).
Wild Bluebell starts out with a big blast of melon then dries down to that typical cucumber melon type of fruity-aquatic-floral scent shower gels and deodorants would often have when I was a kid. Sunny Skies by Avon comes to mind, but I'm not sure if I remember correctly. Similar to Creed's Spring Flowers, but less shampoo-y.

I have no idea what this scent has to do with wild bluebells but I love it.

90sbanana

I really like this one. I have had a hard time finding a fresh perfume that is not citrusy as I’m not big on citrus/bergamot. Wild Bluebell is as much a floral as it is an aquatic. It is not groundbreaking, but it is very pleasant and I have found myself reaching for it very often, especially in the evening when I’m at home with my husband and I just want to smell nice without feeling like I’m wearing perfume. It is too expensive for what it is but I will repurchase anyway because I haven’t found anything that versatile outside of the Jo Malone line.

corianderbean

Nice realistic fresh flower smell. I can see how it causes a headache for others. I like how it smells fresh but not something lemony because that's the go to note for fresh smells I think. This one truly reminds me of flowers. No wonder Meghan Markle is such a fan!

spicypepper_77

Its no wonder I am drawn to this scent, since I am very in like of White Musk. It is a fresh scent, making you think of country meadows filled with flowers. It's a bit mild and subtle, good for warm humid days.

jendp

My top 2 scent from JM. Nice, sweet smell but may be too juvenile for some. I do smell rain/dew notes.

GracieLulu

I have been wearing this scent now for a week. I really like it on me. It might help to let you know I don't like strong scents - they are just too overpowering for me generally and give me a headache-this does neither. On me it is a light powdery floral scent with a bit of the dewy/rain and very light sweetness coming through. I agree the scent does not last that long. I have reapplied in the evening a few times, but it has enough of a fragrance that I feel as thought I smell fresh and pretty when I am wearing it. I am happy I purchased it despite the cost and would buy it again.

Belli9

it's so weak that it's ridiculous

banana47

The 💙 bellflower 💜 is a symbol of affection, constancy and everlasting love; and represents gratitude, humility, and attractiveness.

On my skin, in Dubai where the weather is usually hot:
This version is gone before the pizza arrives. 30 minutes, sometimes 1 hour.
Get the 2020 version, it lasts much longer. 4-5 hours and radiates more.

ravenna

Definitely more fruity/green than floral on my skin, up close i definitely got the watermelon/cucumber notes. It's a sweetly sour but crisp scent, and very distinct. Very spring-like, i honestly wouldnt even say summer. I'll be layering this one to suit me better.

ayken

The name and the smell do not match in my opinion, because I was expecting something sour and violetish- but all i got was light sweet bubble gum type of fragrance

cheleine

I had high expectations for this. I mainly bought this for those “rain” notes I’ve seen so many people raving about. First off, let me start by saying, this doesn’t smell like bluebell. Since they couldn’t use the actual flower in the fragrance for legal/ecological reasons they tried to mimic the scent…poorly. This smells like sweet melon. It’s not necessary “fresh” but on my skin, it does smell SLIGHTLY “misted” or a tiny bit “dewy” but that’s it, I can’t detect any “rain” notes.
I have to also mention that this feels one dimensional, it doesn’t have any depth. I feel like this can’t stand alone. It needs to be layered (like many other Jo Malone fragrances). I’ve seen many people mentioning they layer Wild Bluebell with English Pear and Freesia and that it blends wonderfully, but I’m sad to say this combo turns very metallic and synthetic on my skin.
Those are my first impressions. I’m quite disappointed but I’d love to find a way to make this work…I’ll try again in colder months and maybe come back for another review 🤞🏼

s3raph1nas

This fragrance smells DEWY. I picture dewy flowers and grass in a bluebell forest early in the morning. It's gorgeous in an almost old-fashioned or fairytale-like way.

mermaidylady

Currently wearing my sample of Wild Bluebell for the second day in a row. In the upper Midwest, we're currently experiencing something of a heatwave. 80 degrees in early June is not the norm! I wanted to wear a light, fresh fragrance and this one fits the bill.

I can't say I've ever smelled actual wild Bluebells, so I'll take other reviewers' word for it that Jo Malone nailed their scent. To my nose, this fragrance is very green with a hint of fresh fruit. It's airy and feminine. I also get a hint of white floral in here, perhaps orange blossom? But it's not listed in the notes.

All in all, Wild Bluebell is very pretty and perfect for warmer weather. I've read this is Meghan Markle's favorite fragrance. Personally I would not purchase a full bottle, but I'd say that for any Jo Malone frag. The sillage and longevity is just not worth the price point. Will happily use up my sample, though!

lo_navy

A dewy Monday morning in the spring when the flowers are juuuust about to open and it might rain a little later. Smells like falling asleep next to a patch of flowers that has the sun right on it. I do absolutely love the scent. Forgive the use of this phrase, but it's a shower, not a grower, so first spray is what you're going to smell the whole time. I am really not a pure floral person, but with the greenness, I really do love this. Coming from someone who's more of a chypre, amber, and woody lover...that means something. Most florals I sample I will smell once and let take up room in my drawer until a friend comes to adopt them. This one stays out on the dresser.

The bluebell note is exactly that, bluebell. There's also a significant green aspect, like soft dewy grass and stems.

It is Jo Malone, so lower your expectations a little when it comes to sillage and longevity, but of the Jo Malone scents that I have tried, this performs better than the rest. Moderate-leans-intimate sillage, but decent longevity at that level. If you stick your nose to your skin after 6 hours, it's still there, but not further out.

Nicolemort

Spraying for the first time, I’m getting soft flowers and something yummy and green and bright like one could be walking through a spring meadow and there are few drops glistening all around, it’s mid morning and still crisp outside, and there is calmness in the air.
Something is giving this a sweetness but not in a sugary way, I haven’t yet looked at the notes on this one, but I’m really enjoying it, even though it doesn’t seem like a scent I would normally gravitate toward as a perfume that represents me but it’s quite lovely and I could see myself enjoying it in the morning time.

ekowala7

My second FB worthy Jo Malone from the white line, along with WS&SS. I initially didn't like this - as I honestly hadn't smelled similar before. This deviates quite far from my usual warm & cozy vanillas, but this is something that I really enjoy wearing.

This is elegant, clean, sophisticated and fresh. This is very professional and I can't imagine anyone being offended by one wearing this. If you like Dior Pure Poison or Prada La Femme - you'll enjoy this.

This is a sweet light, white floral, mixed with green freshness. It also dries down beautiful and fades well - which some white florals don't do. Longevity is moderate, good for a JM, about 4-5 hours. You will need to touch this up. Projection is no more than half an arm's length.

Overall 9/10, looking forward to adding a FB of this next to my collection, right now I'm living through 9mL official samples.

ScarletAnyaBlack

I love it! Not like any floral I've smelled before. It's linear and it can be worn in school or office because it's not offensive. I usually layer it with Peony and Blush Suede and it's like I'm a walking garden of flowers.

KittyDeBeauvoir

A small dream of mine is to own an English (or English-style, to be more realistic) cottage in the countryside with a lovely, glittering pond (with my own row-boat) and some "Animals of Farthing Wood"-type creatures who would keep me company. As everybody does, right?
In that quaint countryside, there would be flowers GALORE! Including, yes - Bluebells.
To me, bluebells are the epitome of pretty, sweetly-smelling, lovely, vivid-blue flowers! There's something so romantic and calming about them.

Unfortunately, Jo Malone does not capture that in this scent for me. :(
This scent is WILDLY synthetic - and I not a fan, thank you ma'am (#poetry).

Now, hear me out, Perfumites.
I totally understand that bluebells are protected in the UK and it is illegal to source them for perfumery. I get that. In fact, I support that (seeing as I need those bluebells to grow on my oh-so quaint property, see?).
What I am less than impressed about is the plastic-synthetic scent I get IMMEDIATELY on spraying - and it doesn't go away. Furthermore, this bluebell scent tends to lean toward smelling more like watermelon. Again, a synthetic watermelon.
If there are cloves in this, they need to be stronger to ground this scent.
LOTV and rose-hip are definitely here. Sadly, LOTV is piercingly-sharp here, and the rose-hip smells like a dusty box of rose-hip tea that's been sitting in your grandmother's cupboard for 40 years. Mmm, appealling.
I get a little of my beloved musk and amber, but not enough to save this fragrance.

The sillage is...minimal. I can smell it two inches from my arm - but I don't intend on holding my arm up to my nose all day. I spray like this perfume is cheap ( >.< ) because I can't get a decent projection from it...and I want it used up and gone, quite frankly.
The longevity...is passable. However, that may just be because I don't enjoy it so it *feels* like it lingers, so don't quote me on that.

I was ultimately disappointed in this scent because I honestly love the smell of bluebells and Jo Malone has some masterpieces in their collection.
Sadly, this is not one of them.

Not repurchase-worthy.

Kitty rating: 3.5/10.

jen_19

A light, juicy, watery scent perfect for the springtime. Unfortunately like most Jo Malones, this is pretty linear and sadly fleeting. But the scent itself is quite beautiful and fresh. For me, it evokes the memory of enjoying a plate of ripe watermelon in a backyard garden on a perfect spring day. I've been using it fresh out of the shower in the mornings for a pick me up as this scent brightens my day and gets me excited for the warmer days to come

nelliebabes

Of all the best sellers in the Discovery Set (I loved each and every one) THIS fragrance stood out!
Never smelled anything like it and I've been obsessed with fragrance since middle school.
Soft, juicy, sweet without any sugaryness or powderyness. It's intoxicating and I can't place why! I wear this to work and literally stick my head in my shirt to sniff myself when no one is around--- LOL! It's so lovely and fresh. Definitely a day time however.

fragem

I bought a full bottle after hearing this is one of Meghan Markle's favorites and actually really enjoyed Wld Bluebell at first. Wild Bluebell smelled like a fruity white floral with character without being "too out there", which is right up my alley. However, one day I wore it to see my mom, and she said, "Did you just finish going to the bathroom?" I was really questioning myself and my nose after my mom said this. My mom is super honest to me and has NEVER said a fragrance smelled like I just finished going to the bathroom. Trust me, I do wear fragrances a lot.

I smelled Wild Bluebell after my mom said this and my mom really does have a point. Maybe it was the clove and musk combined that created this "bathroom smell". After my mom said this, I never wore Wild Bluebell again. Can't risk the people around me thinking I just went to the bathroom. I even tried to layer Wild Bluebell with other fragrances I have, but it still stinks of the bathroom.

aomhusky

It's my favourite scent and I still can't find anything to replace this one. The opening is so fresh with bluebell and jasmine and somehow smell like a ripe watermelon for me and it makes your skin cooler for a bit after spraying it. Definitely spring scent but I love it for all year round. Middle note for me shows more of some green note, yet still feel fresh floral and aquatic. Sadly to admit that it only lasts like 1-2 hour for me even the continue skin scent lasts less than 4 hour. It is ok for work place, I think, as this perfume is quite a subtle inoffensive one. Still a bit expensive for 1-2 hr longetivity. But definitely a repurchased one!

krav_kitty

This one is interesting...it gives you the feeling of a spring day where it rained, and then the clouds all hid, the sunshine came out, and you fling open the door, step outside into your garden and start sniffing the flowers that are just starting to come up after winter. You smells their sweetness wafting through the air, but surprisingly you also get whiffs of the greenery and the flower stems from time to time as well. You also smell the sweet wetness of the air, something a bit ozonic to my nose. It's really very special because it transports me to this scene just by closing my eyes and sniffing my arm. However...i dont think ill be keeping this, as i cannot catch even a whiff of this from my wrists while typing this, and i only applied it maybe 30 minutes ago. And as pleasant of an experience as it is, Its a little too pure, fresh and innocent...like putting your nose in a real bluebell...i picture this is what an innocent 5 year old girl picking flowers in a fairy tale smells like...lovely, but not what id like to smell like.
P.S I saw someone on here say that this has a wet dog quality about it and its not strong, but i do have to agree its there in the opening. About 30 minutes in i dont quite detect it any longer though.

Pianomelody

Fantasy, nostalgic and sentimental perfume! It almost seems to come from the fantasy world of "Alice in Wonderland", it is an "abstract" and ethereal perfume.✨ 🌈

I really wanted to love this but, as it often happens with most JM colones, it just doesn’t seem to get on with my skin.
When smelling it from the bottle, I get a light acquatic, slightly watermelony vibe which I find rather pleasant and refreshing, however, on my skin it smells rather “dusty” and more old-lady like in a way I struggle to describe. Not sure why I persevere trying JM fragrances, I just want to find something from this brand that suits me but am always disappointed :(

NewToTheGame

Hate it. Smells very watermelon-y which makes it smell insanely cheap. now im stuck with a large bottle

alina_a

Very clean, elegant and fresh. I find it quite aquatic, perhaps with a hint of fresh cucumber or even watermelon. Powdery and clean, not sweet. However, it's not long lasting at all and it doesn't have much sillage at least on me, and I can't imagine this as a signature scent as it is so hard to detect after an hour or so. But very inoffensive, delicate and great for layering, I like to layer it with English Pear and Freesia.

Brenda Straznicky

I saw a gift set with this fragrance and four others in it for $85.00 at Ross this week.

Jana711xx

Got a 9ml bottle of this a few years back with another couple of Jo Malone’s. The bottle is still almost full, I really do not like the cologne it has a horrible wet dog vibe about it, more precise wet dog feet!! Not very nice this one, my least favourite of the Jo Malone colognes that I have tried. The body cream is marginally better but not something I would purchase

Bgm_1923

Very fresh, unobtrusive, light and resonant aroma. Spring wildflowers, Bellflower, Clover, Lily of the Valley and Lily. On me the aroma unfolds into the fresh peel of sour green tangerine and lime juice combined with wildflowers and dew. Amazing fresh perfume, the smell of spring in the mountains.
The best spring and summer perfume.

bdragonfly12345

Fresh, clean, and aquatic.

I strongly smell the persimmon, which comes through in a sense like cucumber + melon, as well as the "green notes". I secondly smell powder (like from lily-of-the-valley), "dew notes" (calone?), and a hint of the clove.

It's very different from what I normally wear, and the first Jo Malone I have tried! I only wish it lasted longer: 4.5 hours, and it was completely gone, unfortunately!

Overall, it's very versatile and easy to like. I really enjoy this, and will definitely be trying more of Jo Malone's scents! :)

lavenderclouds

Wild Bluebell is, like many Jo Malone perfumes, very linear and to-the-point. But this is no flaw in Wild Bluebell, no—instead it very much works in its favor and allows the star of the show, the bellflower, to shine.

Wild Bluebell is pure watery bluebells in a green garden on a somewhat misty spring day. The skies are pale blue, the air is fresh, the greenery around you feels clean—and all you can smell are the hundreds of beautiful bluebells around you, dew drops falling off their petals. None of the other notes stood out to me and as someone who gets a headache from white florals, I was very thankful for that.

This is a very elegant, pared back floral for the person who doesn't want to smell flowery. There is no sweetness or fruitiness here; only pure, rich, dewy bluebell. Very daytime, spring/summer, and work appropriate without smelling like one of the many generic fruitchoulis or fruity-floral blends that exist out there (no offense to them; I like some of those too!). People knock Jo Malone for not being very creative but I actually find this one to be very unique in nature, as I have never found a floral quite like this before (and certainly not one focused on bluebells).

GoodVibrations

Fresh, brisk, clean, realistic floral that lasts with richness and depth without ever being cloying. Just a touch of jasmine and amber gives this fullness and life, like smelling a field of wild bluebells.

NDStars

First blast of clean generic white floral, kind of boring actually. Pretty and sweet but no personality. As with most of Jo Malone, I wouldn't be afraid to overspray this since there's no lasting power and projection at all. Leans fairly feminine and more suitable for warmer days.

6+ hours later: Gone. Long long gone.

MaquiLab

At first glance, this is a powdery, nostalgic floral fragrance. As if you're looking at illustrations from a children's book set in bucolic surroundings. I can't say I like it, but it's not that I don't like it... A strange one. Would love try another bluebells-based fragrance to compare.

Wwoman

On me, this is a very light floral with nothing else going on. I was hoping for a little amber and spices to make things interesting, but they simply don't exist for me. I like Poppy & Barley and English Pear & Freesia because they are somewhat more complex and have depth. However, many of the other Jo Malone fragrances are just too fruity/light/linear for my taste.

thecoffeeslayer

Lily of the valley and aquatic notes. Both the sweet kind and the almost salty fresh notes.
It's nice. I like it.

sarage

I tested this because the name sounds tempting. I got a little tester strip with info about the notes.
English bluebell is the opening note.
Then comes the heart note persimmon and finally white musk.

The opening is dewy and fresh, very English countryside like, garden after rain. The drydown is very soft floral.
This is the scent of petrichor.
I don't think this is aquatic, though. But it seems this reacts differently on different skins. I think it has that garden after soft summer rain feel.

Wild Bluebell is elegant in very natural way, you smell good and fresh when wearing this, but not perfumy.
I know I have to have this.
PS.
I have it now and I love it. This is the kind of scent that might stay in my collection permanently.

Neckromancer

This is so aquatic. I get that cucumber melon calone smell. It's almost in Cool Water (for women) territory. It could be unisex. There are cheaper scents out there that last longer if you're looking for an alternative to this scent. I'm not an aquatic expert, but I'm sure the people on the forum would be able to help you out with a recommendation for something nearly identical.
