Parfum d'Ete 2002 by Kenzo is a Floral Green fragrance for women. Parfum d'Ete 2002 was launched in 2002. The nose behind this fragrance is Antoine Lie. Top notes are Lily-of-the-Valley and Green Notes; middle notes are Hyacinth, Jasmine and Peony; base notes are White Musk and Sandalwood.

Light and slightly green, Parfum D’Ete doesn’t have top notes, but shines with all of its components at once, while the note of jasmine lends its sensual accord to this composition, along with freshly-picked cyclamen, gorgeous hyacinth and sweet peach blossom. The green accord is composed of leafy greens, green herb juice, lily-of-the-valley and lotus. It was created in 1992.

This smells very synthetic to me, it actually reminds me of the scent of baby wipes. I would say that this is non offensive but quite boring, very much smells like mall perfume stores in the early 2000s. Meh

raesmells

Oh how I love this scent. I wore this sooo long ago and just recently bought a bottle again off Amazon. I was worried it would be old but it was new so I guess it is not discontinued, just not sold around my area. It is fresh, green, and herbal. A tiny bit floral but really just stems more than floral. I love it. My signature is Prada Iris and this is such a nice summer version of that. Instead of the powder it has the herbal kick. LOVE.One more thing, ya gotta LOVE Jasmine for this baby.

loves2read

This was a blind buy. And I don´t regret it buying it.
Immediately I got a strong smell of lilly of white, which changed into hyacinth smell. I love it. At the end I got a gentle smell of musk.
In one of the reviews somebody compared it to a morning walk in a meadow. And I completely agree. It is so refreshing.

The only thing I am not a fan is the shape of the bottle which I had to put in a small box.

LanaDelSlay

This is like a fresh raindrop falling from a leaf after it has been infused in white flowers and the scent after the rain has permeated the air and inspired the juice to become half fresh half sweet. But not just any kind of sweet, sweet soft flowers that compliment it all. Spraying this feels like drinking a fresh glass of ice cold water after hiking in summer. Soothing, calming, relaxing

I'm in love with this scent. I bought this blind because I loved the bottle, but I was honestly scared of how it would smell on me. The moment I put it on, though, I knew my fears were unfounded. The perfume starts with lily notes, which could have been very sharp and cloying, but the green notes balances the scent out perfectly. Almost immediately after that, the hyacinth kicks in with the jasmine right on its heels to give further depth. Finally, the sandalwood and musk come in on the dry down, creating an overall impression of freshly cut grass on a rainy summer's day.

This one is definitely going onto my signature scents list.

Fleurie20

This is hands down the most indolic white floral scent I've owned. Reminds me of rotten flower stems that have been left in a vase for too long. Should haven't blind bought :(

Milena94

I only smell lily of the valley, which I associate with elderly women for some reason. Dissapears quickly.

ShadowCliff

More of an airy green scent. Some fresh cut grass in there. I wore this years ago, and enjoyed - but I'd need to sniff again to have a more nuanced review. My only quibble was the leaf shaped bottle cap broke - and the bottle would flop over a bit, being an awkward shape. Still: really nice, fresh, green (very green) scent. Methinks I want to find this again...

whiteblouse

Experience: This scent is airy to perfection! Fresh without being aquatic. Sweetness is just right (to my taste anyway). Soft and delicate without being a pushover because the coldness gives it an edge.
Notes: Lily-of-the-valley and jasmine are the most prominent notes, lotv dominates in the opening and jasmine in the dry-down. Abstract, fresh greeness is also very noticeable all the way through. Oddly enough, the first stages are somewhat synthetic but in the most pleasant way. The base with clean musk and woods is somehow intoxicating to me.
Performance: Sillage is moderate. Lasts max. 4 hours on my skin, which is the only minus for me.

melusina1982

Had a nice surprise today. I found it after many years thinking it was discontinued and, of course, bought it on the spot. It was one of my mum's favourites (she also used its predecessor: the one in the frosted bottle).
It is exactly as I remembered it: A watercolour dewy garden that dries down to the most beautiful, soft and creamy jasmine. The smell transitions perfectly from a Spring morning to a Summer evening through its long life on skin.
This discovery made me also a little sad, the artistry, tenderness and originality that Kenzo was famous for is long gone. One can only hope it comes back someday.

I have a hard time getting the LOTV in the opening notes. I love Lily of the Valley. I'm very familiar with that flower and love my bottle of Diorissimo. This opening note is pollenated powder to my nose. Maybe I'm really getting the hyacinth? Not sure, but I'm really not a fan of the first hour of this scent. It's way too heady for me. Hard to get past. I actually was relieved I had to put on my coat right after spraying it just to shield my face from the powder puff sneezy pollen blast.

But then it calms down and that bothersome note takes more of a backseat, where I don't really mind it as much. (It never really goes away, but the faded version is so much nicer. And then it's summery, floral, green, and beautiful, but not really projecting much from the body. I'm torn.

Definitely glad I only bought a travel spray to test it out. I'll try it out a few more times and give it away if I can't make it work.

Spring is calling as the previous winter is gliding away - I can feel the awakening nature in this leaf shaped glass. For me it’s an easy to reach type, a dewy, non-herbal green, slightly powdery scent, with a realistic floral body, simply a true masterpiece. I feel like it has it’s place on my shelf forever, cause it’s so effortlessly beautiful and innocent. A little fleeting, so you need to reapply.

fanciful

Very very strong lily-of-the-valley here. There's a bit of soapiness and a bit of greenness, but it mostly feels like LOTV soliflore.

nailaddict_81

I blind bought it for the beautifil leaf shaped bottle. At first, I didn't enjoy it vevy much, too ~watery floral(not in a sense of something watered down, but more like the smell of flowers in a river shore) for my taste. But then, I decided to try it again in warmer weather an I love it!
It's an excellent non-citrus option for hot days! And it lasts on my skin.
I'm glad I didn't give up on this beauty.
Stay away if you don't enjoy lilly of the valley note, it's very prominent here.

Amnaa

At first it's very creamy, like a hand cream. Then is quickly settles at something exactly in between DKNY Pure and Versace pour Femme. So much so in fact that if you are looking for a version of this Versace that's similar but slightly less sweet you might want to try this one.

rickyfreaky13

Pretty bottle. The top notes is too strong, i can't wear it. Really not my style. The drydown is ok, much more wearable. Gave it to my bf, it suits him better than me.

bethjwb

Stop 2 on my search for a floral that feels realistic and not ‘perfumey’. This goes on very floral indeed, almost syrupy, which perhaps isn’t surprising when you look at its pyramid. It does chill out a bit quite quickly, but I’m still getting a very heady floral mix with dominant hyacinth and lily of the valley, and not really much green at all. If you love the flowers used here, this is a really nice version of them. For me not quite the freshness and still-growing feeling I’m looking for.

JasminePetal

Had this one in my teens, lovely Lily-green scent. I used to really enjoy green fragrances and I oftend unknowingly gravitated towards Lily scents because it is my mothers signature flower scent. So while I really enjoyed the fresh flowerly scent back then, I would not buy this again right now. It smells like a forest after fresh rain, with a slight synthetic hint to it. It's quite delicate, sweet but fresh, very Lily bomb.

Zethre

Very strong and lasting lilies, quite clean but not cold or warm.
The lily scent is very natural, but unfortunately there is something else that gives a note that my nose can't decide if it's creamy or plastic, and I find this very off putting.

Miasha

This is a lovely one. It really has a true smell of lily of the valleys, and some fresh, soft, dewy green. I had it years ago and loved it(as did my husband, and my daughter, who liked to sneak a little drop of it). But it was just because of this lovely lily of the valley, that I ended up giving it to my mother, who has these flowers as her absolute favourite flowers.
She is old and blind, and she needs to have her other senses stimulated, to give her joy and bring up lovely memories.
It has been ages since I saw this in perfume stores, but now I have realized that it is available online! So, maybe not now, but for next spring, I will buy myself a new bottle...

meemee00

I had this one and ended up giving it away, it was a cold scent and I didn't enjoy at the time.
I wore if for a few weeks in a row and it became associated with that time in my life.
Lily of the valley wasn't my favorite note and that is why I didn't love this perfume, but as time went by I felt a craving to smell it at times.
I found a perfume close enough to this in the jessica mcclintock perfume for a third of the price kenzo was, I felt this is a friendlier version of this kenzo that I just couldn't love all the way.

Mona Lygre

I bought this ekstraorinary lovely perfume private some mnts ago, and it brings back so many good memories from the times when I still was young, in the -90ths, to me I smell the original Kenzo d'ete, I worn out 2 bottles when it still was in the shops,

I have been missing the smell of that perfume for so many years, back than I felt so very beautiful wearing it, in my long white dresses, much like the womans fashion today, and I still have that dresses, I love them as well :p

To me the hyacint came first, than lilly-on-the-valley, and it's so very green and fresh, you could think the flowers were cut right now.

If green is your color, this is the perfume for you.

AGE: 0-110.

STARSIGNS: ARIES, and, of cause all the rest of you =))

POINTS: 7 of 6. (7 of throw of the disces.)

ViouAmara

What a strange combo. LOTV the sharp, green flower, trying to meet the spicy dark sandalwood. Spring trying to give autumn a kiss, but the spell is made so that this will never happen. They’ll never meet each other. Never ever ever, not even here.

DulciusExAsperis

Warm green and white tea with lily of the valley and a few fresh leaves.

Kind of a no-brainer if you like LOTV. Which I do. Simple, airy, green and easy to wear.

Rose du soir

What a beautiful lily of the valley. A bit in-your-face for the first 30 minutes, but goes softer and fresher as time goes by. The peony takes its time to appear. The sillage is soft without being a skin scent, just right for late Spring.
I could immediately guess this fragrance has its origins in the 90s. It reminds me of the lovely honeysuckle cologne I knew when I was a teen. It carries so many nostalgic memories. It's comforting, relaxing and beautiful in a way that doesn't exist in newer fragrances. And this is its real charm.

moni_moni

I love this fragrance. Delicate, vegetable, a little sweet, but with an admixture of something fresh and stale. Lily of the Valley, yes, but in the smallest possible edition. It does not impose itself, it does not irritate it, it does not overwhelm, it blends with my skin and does not cut off from it, maybe because it is one of the fragrances that never tired me. Perfect for spring and summer for a subtle woman.
The bottle in the previous issue fell to his knees, the new one falls a little worse, but still it is nice.

justfloral

Synthetic green leaves + synthetic lilies of the valley. Not my fav.

Hema277

First off,I hate lily of the valley. Despite that, I wanted this perfume because I assumed it will work well and deliver freshness that everyone talks about. When I sprayed it for the first time, almost choked. I was so sad but I kept on trying it and I grew on me. I like it in the chilly to the bone evenings and outdoors. It is too much fr indoors in my opinion.

The fragrance is a mellow powdery greeness. This types usually smell like celery to me but I grew to like it. It has forest fairy vibe and naturally its apt for like garden type environment.

tarcher

I fell in love with this scent while working PT in a fragrance dept in college when it was initially marketed. Other scents smelled heavy & sweet or musky compared to this light spring scent. Like many reviews, I smell Lily of the Valley, Peony, Hyacinth & also a light sandalwood base & possibly a bit of Daisy, which keeps the scent balanced & not too sweet. The scent sprays stronger but then settles on the skin to become a graceful, sophisticated scent with balanced tones which doesn't overwhelm the people around you. I receive more compliments about this fragrance than any other I wear.

I often wear this to work & social events because it is so light and airy but unoffensive to others with a sensitive nose. My 15yo daughter LOVES & wears this scent.I bought one for her so she would stop taking mine. It fits perfectly for young & older women alike due to its timeless yet light floral tones.

This scent seems more like a renewing spring scent than summer to me bc the floral scents are delicate and fragile. yet the scent is long-lasting. I definitely recommend to anyone with a sensitive nose who wants a beautiful light floral scent thst isn't too sweet or heavy. I wear this scent frequently at work or to social events since it doesn't overpower anyone else with a sensitive nose. I receive more compliments about this scent than any other I wear.

karenpantanalli

I hated the top notes, but I had patience, after 1 hour it developed a beautiful scent. Love the dry down, but.... The head notes.... I'm not buying a FB.

meliecat

Clean and fresh, but not citrusy, definitely floral green! I was in my 20s when I first got it, and loved the box, the bottle and the scent - and now I`m yearning for it again. It`s lovely for daytime wear in the spring and summer, not a `sexy` scent, but makes you feel fresh out of the shower, without smelling too fresh! In a way I`d put it somewhere around Issey Miyake`s Eau de Issey Florale edt, but this one is prettier.

polly golightly

This = new version, was given to me by my distant relative( whom I really am fond of!) as a birthday gift.
At first, I could not figure out if I like it or not. Not exactly love at first sight..wait,.. sniff.
So I did not use it for a long time even though it always reminds me of a happy memory of my foregone birthday party.
Recently, I brought it out from my wardrobe to the bathroom mainly to decorate the sink.
And, WOW, I tried it once again, the perfume really impressed me greatly.
It is actually an amazing scent, which I can't find any similarity to any nowadays predictable oh-so-sweet perfumes.
Interestingly, I still do not like it so much at the very moment of splashing it.
I have to wait at least for 5 minutes to get the heart of it.
It is aptly named Summer which is really nice in a quiet summer, moon-lit night.
Green, translucent, delicate, youthful yet rich aroma.

Lilalara

Without having known anything about the scent or its notes, for some reason I was expecting a flowery and citrusy punch in the face when I first applied Parfum d’Ete. Instead, this opens with a very fresh green, almost grassy note, and with the spring-feeling of lily of the valley, before settling into other delicate white flowers. These are soft, creamy and slightly sweet flowers, jasmine, peony and hyacinth, without any sharpness, and they are almost transparent, as if you smell them whilst being half asleep during a sunbath. The lily of the valley shines through d’Ete’s entire lifespan on the skin. It remotely resembles Diorissimo, but Diorissimo is bolder, sharper, less ozonic and less watery. To me, Parfum d’Ete is aquatic, but it is not a sea-kind of aquatic, but rather like the big glass of water that you always have nearby on a warm summer day. A still, calm water that pearls from dewy petals and the human skin. It is a very light, almost ethereal scent that stays extremely close to the body. Merely a touch of summer or spring before it evaporates into the warm air of the day, it is definitely not an evening scent. Despite its very weak sillage, it has a decent lasting power and somehow magically grows stronger on my skin after a few hours, while also becoming sweeter, like a sugar candied and less watery lily of the valley. I can see this as a unisex fragrance. This review is for the new version, which comes in a beautiful, simple clear bottle in the shape of a leaf.

Raina

This has been my favorite fragrance since I was introduced to it by one of my best friends in high school. Her older sister introduced it to her, and had she not done the same for me I never would have discovered this gem. It's hard to find now, which is both good and not so good for me. I always come back to it and I've never been able to replace it. It evokes memories and aspirations, and instills me with a confidence that I learned from her.

Upon application, it begins as a mix of soapy lily of the valley, green notes, and a touch of something spicy or herbal. Lily-of-the-valley stays dominant throughout the stages of wear. Something wonderful happens once it settles and all the way into the dry down. The dewy floral sweetens and smooths out, almost as though honey has been poured over the floral notes. It stays like that and projects a lovely honeyed lily-of-the-valley. It is very much a dewy, sweet, slightly soapy, floral scent, not at all spicy or herbal.

For me, this is the ultimate in feminine fragrances.

margarita.angelova

This is like a time machine for me. My eyes teared up when I smelled it again after so many years. My grandmother used the original version when I was about 3-4-5-years old and it's one of the symbolic smells of my childhood.

I can't ever be sure if I love the fragrance itself that much or if I adore it because of the memories it holds for me. Either way, I'm buying a bottle for myself. Having this around really comforts me and makes me feel almost invincible - probably this is how I've felt 20 years ago in my grandmother's embrace.

It's so incredible what powerful influence do fragrances have over your perception...

ShroomRavioli

I aboslutely hate this, it's the same sickly sweet medical smell as Eternity by Calvin Klein and I just can't stand it :( I love the smell of lily of the valley and I had high hopes for this one.

relle

I thought I had already reviewed this but I don't see it here. This is for the vintage formulation with the adorable etched bottle. When I was little my Mom planted a few lily of the valley bulbs outside our kitchen window. As the years passed those sweet little bells multiplied profusely. During their peak season, usually May, you could open the kitchen window and be filled with that sunny, springy sweet smell. I often clipped a few sprigs to keep in a little bud vase by my bed. Now I live on the opposite coast where l.o.vs. are harder to grow. Fortunately I got this beauty in a blind swap, mainly for the cute bottle. I'm in springtime heaven when I wear this one. This is the truest, most natural lily of the valley I've yet to experience, with a second act of hyacinth and peony, no jasmine, not much musk or sandalwood on me, but sassy, sparkly and sexy. Good longevity, incredible ambiance, taking me back to warm memories of my sweet departed Mama who gave me my first love in the flower family; Lilly of the Valley. Bless you Mom and those who wear this.

greatbitch

Not for new century generation, coz people now like candy-prada,valentina-valentino,chole-chole,etc.They've got much time to experience fast-food perfumes(what I mentioned above),but have no time for a real conversation with those perfumes which launched last century.
No matter new version or old version, they are all real beauties, but only existed in 90's memories.

Fhaldara

Very green and leafy with gorgeous green florals - I love this! Purchased a small bottle to try and will definitely be ordering a larger one. The leaf shaped bottle is beautiful too.

Sweetloverxoxo

It's very watery powdery on me.I am a teen. Once I wore it to school,no one detects that I am wearing the parfum.
But its has a fresh green smell on me..
The bottle..I don't like the bottle..
I'll give a 6/10..

canadianpetite

Found a full bottle sans box at an Antique and Collectible show. The sticker said $50 but the seller quickly agreed when I offered $15. I've been enjoying this and comparing it to Diorissimo (I know, sacrilegious, right). For tenacity, Diorissimo wins - very green and strong LOTV. Kenzo is soft, faded LOTV - very pleasant. It is only when my nose meets my wrist that I smell a hint of jasmine and the promise of sandalwood. It feels refreshing and clean when I spray this on. Perfect for spring but too light on sunny-crisp-fall days. Kenzo would not offend with two sprays but it fades fast without much fume trail. It seems to last longer and leaves a trail when sprayed on my hair. Such a pretty leaf-shaped bottle.

One spray on me:
Sillage: about a foot for first 30 minutes, soft whisper for the next two hours
Longevity: about an hour then nose-to-wrist for next three
Rating: 3/5

persefoni

I have both bottles that say Parfum d'ete, but they couldn't be more different!!!!

I swear they have nothing in common. And i don't mean the ingredients, but the overall smell. Why would a company confuse consumers like this??? Did they run out of names..?!?

Museumgal

It's a green scent but not that sort of overwhelming, almost aldehyde sharp green you get in some scents. The lily of the valley is well made and just a hint sweet, like it is if you're smelling the flower in nature. I like this sweet quality -- a lot of LOTV scents ignore it in favor of just green. The hyacinth and jasmine are well done as well. Only real complaint is that it doesn't last long. Very effervescent scent, light and bubbly.

sherapop

It seems that I missed my chance to try the original Kenzo Parfum d'Eté, as my mini obviously contains the reformulated post-LVMH acquisition juice.

Abstract floral green with impressive tenacity and projection--or not, since that all comes along with the abstraction in this sort of composition.

There is a brightness to Parfum d'Eté, which imparts a decidedly SSRI quality to the experience. I was going to say that this creation may have been the first SSRI fragrance--singing with optimism but superficially so--except that this is the reformulation. What appears to have happened is that the formula was tweaked to conform with this new perfume market phenomenon: a fragrance which is the olfactory equivalent of pill-produced "happiness".

That's okay, of course. If you have to spend the day in a cubicle slaving away for some corporate master, why not wear this kind of juice? Everyone around you will aver that you smell clean.

SolangeN

A pretty good substitute for Eau d'Eden. Not as sharp and the musk quality is lower, but the floral profile is similar.

Lakambini

A green scent with a delicate but quite perceptible note of lily of the valley, and beneath that, the hyacinth. There’s a very slight bitter undertone and a balmy-herbal effect, so that the fragrance gives the impression of a very exclusive and expensive skin nourishing serum. I have both the fragrance and the cream, and they help me achieve that no-fragrance-but-smells-undefinably-pretty aura. For nature lovers, definitely.

sapientia

I totally agree with Oxygene. The old version was so sexy, comfort, sweet, relaxing yet long lasting. The new version is stiff, totally green, not reassuring at all. I also want the old version back.....

Oxygene

I want the old version back! This is the boring, stupid little sister of the amazing original perfume. :(

Kiera79

Received this as a gift but I will certainly buy it again. A lovely fresh and light floral. Perfect for summer days and one of my new favorites!

*_koko_*

I'm in love. This scent is really amazing for me..green, fresh, feminine, innocent.. On my skin lily of the valley is sooo present the first hours, and I love it! But also other notes come out with time.. It's really gentle and interesting.. Sillage and longevity are also great..Can't wait to have it..!

Skye Wortley

Fresh and beautiful!! It is amazing and it's very summery! The scent is very lovely, just right for me. The bottle is also nice. It is very floral and green and great for the day. Love it!!

Siv7Stars

Beautiful fresh and pretty. Very summery. Kenzo's best offering I think. Lovely bottle. Individual notes discernable, for me the hyacinth predominates to start with. Overall it's a bit like Fleur d'eau by Rochas.

telperien

This perfume has become my signature for almost 15 years. I love the combination of lily of the valley and hyacinth.

Kysyona

I got this one off a friend once since she was moving abroad and could not take all of her scents with her. OK, if I evaluate this basing my comments on the smell quality only - then it is a 4 out of 5 for an absolutely lovely summer frag: a freshly cut green grass bathing in the rays of sunshine. But when it comes to staying power/silage - on me it had NONE. Then again, my skin is like a void where so many fresh scents vanish without a trace into, so perhaps it is not entirely Kento's fault. On the other hand, Coco M stays through the day, and it is also fresh, so go figure ( perhaps it's the patchouli that hold on to me for dear life ). Anyway, this scent is inoffensive and more interesting than many summer perfumes out there, but it does lack a certain something for me. I just love a twist in perfumes, something that makes them memorable : Jardin Mediterrane is my HOLY GRAIL ( giant red letters with flashing lights meant here! ) for a summer frag, so this was nice to wear ( in the first 30 mins when it was still detectable ), but I would never buy this myself again.

a.odessa

green, watery, definitely peony based. wonderful but not grounded enough for my taste

TillyWave_archive

This really is green, green, green. Fresh & modern, light and watery but not airy. There is a bit of soap in here too, along with hints of white flowers, and perhaps a slight woodiness to the base. While I am enjoying my decant of this very much, this fragrance is veering too close to really nice herbal shampoos. In fact the first thing it reminded me of was green Prell shampoo that I used to use back in the 80's. I liked that scent, too.

emilianods75

One of my best summer fragrances. Fresh, sophiticated, feminine. Long lasting power.

Citronella

I've just realized how valuable the floral green family is. Always looking for good day-time scents, I don't want my fragrances to be overly sweet or calming. With a floral green, a certain crispness seems to be built in. In the case of Parfum d'Ete, hyacinthe is the most dominant note to me and combined with lily-of-the-valley, musk and peony it is definitely a safe choice in my wardrobe. In spite of its name, I think Parfum d'Ete can definitely be worn in spring and fall as well.

PricklyAndHot

Light floral!

Most of all I feel the leading lily of the valley note and the hyacinth note in this fragrances.

The lily of the valley note smells natural enough.

It's nice, but it's not my cup of tea.

Me and this fragrance have a sort of love/hate relationship. I discovered D'ete while in France and perusing that global perfume shop that begins with the letter S. I tested all the classics, Chanel No. 5, Rive Gauche, everything, and this is the one fragrance that I liked.

It's fresh and crisp. The green notes are pleasant although very ambiguous. It was love at first smell. I also sampled Kenzo Flower. Great packaging, but I couldn't take that the floral sweetness. To me, D'ete smells, young, fresh and crisp, but there's a downside, the fragrance barely lasts more than an hour, and it's not cheap. I still love it, but wish it would last longer.

I also discovered that there is a classic version of this fragrance that was released in the 90's. It has a different bottle and a much more complex fragrance profile. You can find that in the "people like this also like..." panel. I'll definitely be trying that one.

The green notes in this are realistic, very close to how fresh cut flowers smell in a vase... a bit bitter but still soft and fresh. No artificial or sharp notes like in so many other green fragrances. The quality of this fragrance makes it outstanding. It's like the lily of the valley, which-on my skin at least-is the dominant note;young, natural, interesting, delicate, soft and simple.

Mooniq

A perfect summerscent. fresh, clean and green. A great mix of nice flowers. No sharp or edgy notes. Longlasting on my skin.

en perfekt sommardoft. Fräsch, ren och grön. En härlig mix av härliga blomnoter utan tunga eller skarpa noter. Håller länge på huden.

seagreen55

Perfect. I love it! Fresh, green (my favorite color), clean. erfect for warmer days or warmer climates.

Personality: Serene, sunny, innocent, pure, gentle.

Age: 18-45

Scent: Green, watery and pure, it's a joyful fragrance with just the right amount of sweet, innocent florals to give it a feminine touch. I definitely sense the lily of the valley, green notes, a watery hyacinth and a sunny peach note. It's such a natural scent, like a green field, drenched in dew and full of flowers on a sunny spring morning. No sharpness, no acidic notes here...just clean, gentle and subtly sweet.

When/Where: For spring and summer days. Perfect for hot weather. A great scent for the office/college or casual days.

Sillage/Longevity: Low Sillage, Weak-Average Longevity (3-5 hours)...this would've been the perfect summer scent if it wasn't for the longevity, but try it out on your skin, it may be different on you.

JUST FOR FUN: A summer scent for Virgo, Pisces and Aquarius.

One of my oldtime favourites! I´m into my third bottle now and still not tired of it and that´s something happening not very often. love it!!!

i'm sure there was honey in it.. loved this perfume in the summer. would not wear otherwise as it is quite unspecial. But very cute.

This is a lovely, fresh green fragrance with notes of sweet pink jasmine. It's perfect for hot, humid summer days. I purchased a big bottle years ago, but I found I tired of it quickly. Even though the bottle is creative and pretty, it drove me nuts. It was big and awkward, and the fact that it couldn't stand up ruined the symmetry of the bottle display on my dresser. I don't know what ever happened to my Parfum d'ete. I must have given it away, because I'm sure I didn't use up the entire bottle. My using it got interreupted by Blumarine II, and then Blumarine II caused me to ignore D'ete entirely. I was still in the mindset that owning one to three perfumes was some kind of "law", and it never occured to me to keep a fragrance I wasn't using up to the last drop. Those days are long gone!

I had the bottle but the only thing I could smell was lily-of-the-valley. I understand the fragrance can be liked, it's just me who can sniff only lily-of-the-valley and I got tired of it... strange thing was going on with the fragrance on my skin. Pretty bottle.

Celtrino

Fresh, alive...that sensual warming note of jasmine. A favourite.

harshi202

I received a sample of this perfume a few years ago. I loved it then. It smelled fresh. But I have never been able to find it in any of the perfume stores I have ever been to. :(

bellete

I miss my Parfum d'ete... Whats a lovely scent! Like a cool silk scarf on my skin. Where can I find it???

seagreen55

Such a fresh, green, springy fragrance! It's a clear, straightforward scent, doesn't dry down to anything other than what it begins with, at least on me. And since green is my favorite color, this is one of my favorite fragrances. Love it, love it, love it, and I always get compliments on it. Highly recommend it!

Usually I change perfumes and don't buy the same perfume twice (there are so many possibilties out there :) ). Well, Kenzo Parfum d'Ete is my exception to the rule. I keep on buying it wherever I can - it's a bit difficult to find - and I find it perfecr for the summer days. It smells very freshy and greeny. It's like spring on my skin and is one of the most particulars I know.

Katrusya31

I dont like it, nothing special in it

glamrose

This was my first perfume and I truly love it. However, the packaging has been changed and the scent as well. Some good scents never last.

xpetra82

as i usally say...gardenia and jasmin perfumes are the best!
i used to wear it when i was searching to find my favorite one...
i still have it,i some times wear it at summer...

Kenzo Floral Perfumes rulez de business!

This is how a Green-Floral fragrance should smell, and after more than 15 years, is still one of the most beautiful jazmin/lily-of-the-valley scent.

The original formula place a little more emphasis on Sandalwood/Cedar/Oakmoss but this new reformulation is beautiful too, and I found the differences are negligible, but the new bottle suck :(

If you're looking for a clean, fresh-musky-floral scent with excellent sillage and powerlasting , try this!!

Bratka

It was my first ,,real'' fragrnce... Was lovelly - light an unusual - then.
Now i am older and like much more spicy and oriental fragrances... But that always will be in my mind. Great fragrance for young, happy woman!

ezdravkova

fresh in an original and non-generic way - somehow it reminds me of the smell of bamboo, only more intense.. must be a mix of the notes that's creating that impression, as I can't see bamboo in the pyramid itself.. a definite must try for lovers of floral greens :))

Tam

Just got a small bottle of the original off Ebay and sprayed this and the newer version on each wrist. There is no comparison. Kenzo please bring back the rich smelling original and ditch this pale new imitation!

blackdove

On first spray I like the fresh greeness of this fragrance however after wearing for a hour it gave me an intense headache :-(

alianeblue

I bought this perfume thinking it smelled like the original D’Ete, but I found out that this version is greener than the original one, but it is so leafy that it’s kind of annoying and obnoxious. Also I noticed that it has less staying power and the bottle is hard to handle. It certainly lacks of femininity and quality. I definitely prefer my old lovely, elegant, neat version of this scent; besides, I adore the frosted leaf bottle. It’s a shame that Kenzo discontinued this scent to replace it for this cheap, shameful misrepresentation of nature in an awkward bottle.

lilly m.

a little too powdery for my taste

Mals86

Very pleasant, green and fresh. A pared-down version of the delicious original (which can still be found at online discounters and ebay). The hyacinth and green notes are prominent to my nose, and the scent is pretty linear - there is no drydown, the perfume tapers off to faintness fairly quickly (2 hours on me).

I layered this with Diorissimo, and it was wonderful!

For me, this is the smell of spring! I had it 4 or 5 years ago and loved it. People said to me "this is your scent" Then my sister felt in love with it and I gave it to her, and almost regret it:) when I smelled it on her. I tried it lately and found it a bit too strong at the top-but after these few minutes it´s faboulos. It´s a high-quality perfume-like the other Kenzo´s. It´s my favourite perfume house. And on me, it lasted the whole day.

Jolanta

The bottle is a piece of art...like Summer by Kenzo. Nice fragrance but very short lasting!!!!

Bouquet

Note: This version, Kenzo Parfum D'Ete, is a reformulation of Parfum D'Ete by Kenzo.

The *original* formula,(PDPK), came in an upright, frosted glass leaf bottle in a blue box, and has since been discontinued. I think the original was the slightly better of the two scents, because it was fresh and slightly sexy, cjould be worn day or night, and was longer lasting. (I think you can still find the soap version of this scent for sale.)

KPD (the current version) has many of the same notes as the original, but it fresher, not sexy, and not as long lasting or versatile. Still, as a daytime casual green summer fragrance, it is better than many of the summer scents out there. So I am giving this version a qualified thumbs up.

Pez_Enelrio

its such a clean, innocent and nice scent, i love the bottle and the whole stuff. great, its really green

lovelylavender

It's a simple green perfume. I never thought it would smell that great on my skin. Too bad it didn't last long. Only about 4 four. Great and unoffensive kind of perfume.

vertigo

it's green, watery and fresh.
for hot days, but not for a teen.

karyna

i love it
