Perfection!

Vanilla & iris, maybe small amount of raspberry & patchouli is in the lead for a while after a first spray. It smells lovely already. It has some sweetness to it, but it's not overly sweet.

It smells vanilla-sweet-woody-fresh.
So well balanced.
It's hard to believe that this one is one of the LVEB flankers. It has little to no resemblance to it, which makes me happy, as I was never a big fan of an original.

I hope this is not a limited edition as this one is the best of all LVEB collection.

I am in my 40s and I love it!

Lovescents3

I reach for this one every time the weather cools down enough to wear it. It’s too much for warm weather but for me a perfect transeasonal fragrance.

I mostly get the raspberry in the opening, it’s simply gorgeous, sweet and mouthwatering. Unlike a lot of other fragrances with raspberry, something of the raspberry remains into the dry down here. In the middle I get a lot of jasmine and the powdery notes. It remains very powdery sweet. And the base to me is much more sandalwood, a dry sandalwood, than patchouli. The other LVEBs have more patchouli to my nose. The vanilla is very present too, and makes this even more sweet and delicious.

LVEB Intensement is a commitment for the day. She projects like a sweet powdery vanilla beast for many hours. She will not share the stage with another fragrance that day. A mood booster always, and surprisingly I don’t get sick of it.

TheCandyperfumegirl

La vie est belle Intensement was not on my wishlist. But once I tried it I changed my mind cause I'm addicted to berry Scents and this one smells like a vanilla raspberry dessert to my nose. At the beginning I get the Juicy Bright Raspberry with Bergamot & kick of pink pepper. But they fade so fast and all I can smell is bright juicy raspberry with orange blossom & vanilla or maybe it's the heliotrope. The drydown is really well blended with notes of powdery iris & vanilla with patchouli & sandalwood. It's safe to say this fragrance has most prominent original la vie est belle DNA than other flankers. It's like the original LVEB with juicy bright raspberry & added extra vanilla and minus the Praline. I really love this Fragrance because I'm a vanilla berry lover. And La vie est belle has undoubtedly one of the best Fragrance DNA for women. By adding raspberry they made it more youthful & bright.
But I personally felt it's more suitable for Colder days. It may feel too heavy for sunny summer days. But it's nice for summer/spring nights or during monsoon.
But if you're a gourmand Fragrance lover you can rock this all year round.

🎀Longevity : On my skin this Fragrance stays upto 6 hours and on my clothes for about 8+ hours but on my hair it lasts till next day.

🎀Projection : The projection is heavy for first few hours. It becomes a skin scent only after 4/5 hours in my case. In general La vie est belle Fragrances are projection bomb & Sillage is mostly enormous. In case of Intensément it's the same too. The fragrance radiates within at least a hands distance.

Overall I really loved La Vie Est Belle Intensément. If you're a vanilla Fragrance lover go for this one. And if you love the combination of Raspberry & Vanilla this is the la vie est belle you need in your collection.

Currently, my favourite variant of LVEB. I really like the Intensement because it’s more vanilla forward than the rest of the line and in the same time, less iris focused! I think I really dislike anything iris heavy…

LVEB Intensement has a more toned down opening, softer, compared to other flankers. The focus is here on vanilla, heliotrope, raspberries, benzoin, orange blossom, jasmine, sandalwood. Still can notice the iris easily, but feels warmer from benzoin and vanilla blend. Compared to other versions I feel like this has a lesser amount of patchouli. Probably the most balanced version of La Vie Est Belle sold now.

It’s not so intensely, sugary sweet, iris and patchouli forward, more white floral, warmer, cozier, woodsy and vanilla centric.

Performs on par with the rest of the line, very long lasting and strong projection. This creates a huge scent bubble and leaves a noticeable trail behind me.

Obviously, I would recommend the Intensement version over most of other flankers, especially the last two releases, very heavy on iris! Unless you love iris scents, I’d say the choice is pretty obvious!

Love this! Have finally tried the intensement version. Took me a while, as I'm not a fan of the O.G or flankers on my skin. LOVE them on others though. Have always been a bit jealous that this range never suited me as they are bombs and so beautiful. FINALLY found one that suits ME and it's the intensement version. Love the red berry and red pepper twist. It's sweet and syrupy and almost like a raspberry dessert. Doesn't make me feel nauseated after wearing it for a while, which can happen for me with the others. Very happy to have this in my collection ❤️

PattyLovesScents

This to me smells like a pretty girl. I get the raspberry, but it is light like a perfumy raspberry versus sweet syrup. Then I get a nice light white florals smell. The Jasmine doesn't over power this fragrance on me. I almost get a fresh rose scent but no rose is listed. I notice a soft powder and the iris comes out as it dries down. The patchouli sandalwood is present after it dries, but doesn't over power. It also gives off a makeup like scent from the powder. For sure this has a slight mature twist, but not old lady in a house coat or anything!

ViviNeiely

autumnblue914

I'm waiting on my bottle to mature, as it is nowhere close to what I smelled from the store tester. The tester was a syrupy, juicy raspberry with a powdery vanilla. In my bottle, the raspberry is light and fleeting.

MomBomb

Opening smells like fancy powder (which was awesome) but it dried down to something very “mature”…
Not for me.

anna222

La vie est belle is one of the best perfume lines ever. I love the OG and I equally love it along with this one and Soleil Cristal. Such sweet but gorgeous feminine fragrances, they’re like the full most balanced combination that other brands can’t get right.

Devved

Tried it today in the store and fell in love with it instantly. For me it smells like sweet candy. If love was put in a bottle then this would be it. Classy, elegant, feminine and even something angelic about it.ahhhh

Roses and Thyme

I tested it today at the Lancome counter. At first spritz, I wasn’t too impressed. I mean, pretty and good quality, but it wasn’t a WOW first impression. Then, I drove home. About 30 minutes into my drive, I started smelling this amazing sweetly spiced scent. I wondered what it was until I realized the vent was blowing directly on my skin. Sooo gorgeous!! To my nose, it almost smells like Fall (specifically Halloween) and I cannot for the life of me figure out why. Must be the combination of the sweetness and the warm spicy. Full bottle worthy for me.

Sarra816

My favorite flanker, dont get me wrong-- the original is a classic but this one seems more refined and balanced between the sweetness, floral, and powdery notes.

The patchouli is not as loud here and I get the sweetness from the raspberry note on my skin. This makes it fresher and youthful. This is La Vie est Belle's younger, sweeter, and playful sister. It is similar to the original in the sense that it has that powdery creaminess but is lighter and less serious.

Great longevity and perfect for fall/winter.

Malibu

The pink-pepper-coated raspberry is the strongest fruit note on me. Like with the original, there is a soft & creamy vanilla present through all of the fragrance, with adds a creamy & fluffy sense of sweetness and warmth. The amber & patchouli blend is also quick to develop, so whilst this is a sweet fragrance, it's a more adult spicy heated kind of edge to the sweetness.

The biggest callback to the original edition is that the floral notes in the heart are powdery and just provide a fairly subtle background for the iris to shine & be boosted up by. The heliotrope, orange blossom & jasmine are all clearly definable, but apart from rose and perhaps magnolia, I can't begin to guess any other florals that might be in the blend.

The fragrance turns ever so slightly nutty, sweeter & creamier as the benzoin and sandalwood develops - the backdrop is vaguely reminiscent of a vanilla latte, with almond milk. Whilst the iris note does eventually quiet down, the combined powderiness of the floral notes remains and softly fades away with the base notes.

I wouldn't wear La Vie est Belle Intensément in warm/bright weather as the excellent sura & longevity [we're talking 10+ hours & an aura of up to a few feet away], paired with the sensation of spiced heat in the scent notes can be too much for migraine-prone me. I'd say this is definitely a fragrance for autumn/winter.

From the first spritz this reminded me strongly of something and it took me a little while to remember... remember Beyonce's perfume line with Coty? They briefly had a limited edition intense version of Heat for sale in America, which I bought in the NYC Macy's a decade or so ago - Heat Ultimate Elixir. I absolutely adored it, but I knocked the bottle off my dresser soon after arriving back home and the bottle neck smashed, so the perfume soaked into my carpet 😢

Since getting my bottle of La Vie est Belle Intensément I've not felt the need to replace my empty bottle of La Vie est Belle - its too soon to say if it will be a long‐term replacement, but for the foreseeable future it's a definite hit. I usually prefer less rich fragrances, but this has hit my nostalgic happy spot.

Hurry; at the time of writing, Boots have a Star Gift offer on the 50ml bottle [£48.50 for a 50ml bottle].

Aquapinkmoon

Just purchased the 100ml❤️ this is so so beautiful and although I love the entire line, intensment has to be my favourite. Starts with a splash of fresh raspberries and then drys down into the creamiest vanilla, sandalwood with hints of raspberry and white floral. Although she is the ‘Intense’ I find this one a whole lot smoother and blended than the original (I do still love the original), I got this because after trying so many Lancôme fragrances this was the best for every day, every occasion, every season. The longevity is beast mode without being cloying, one spray and my family said they could smell me, we were outside and this has happened twice! This creates the most gorgeous, creamy scent bubble and just screams pretty woman to me, absolutely 10/10.
Edit: I wore this to a family dinner last night, I spritzed on skin and on my clothes around 5pm, it’s 1:00pm the next day and the fragrance is still on the shirt! If you want beast mode longevity this is the one

MaxieF

This is the best flanker. It's sweet, soft, powdery, youthful, long lasting, great projection, really really beautiful. I'm sorry, majestic opulence is not a good dupe. It has some similarities but the differences are significant. Majestic opulence has that bubble gum tuberose thing going on. This does not. Majestic opulence has been compared to love dont be shy and Intensement has not because intensement does not have a hint of tuberose. Majestic opulence is a better dupe of l'eclat.

coraline28

I like it! I didn t buy it yet. It's not as strong as the original one. At the beginning I can smell the pepper, a little bit of the rasberry and powder. I like it although I'm not a big fan of pwdery perfumes.

After aprox 40 min the smell changes. I can't smell the pepper anymore, only vanilla and iris.

I think it's a crowd pleaser and pretty forgettable but it smells nice! Sometimes a perfume just has to be nice even if it's something more common.

I have to get a sample to figure out if I like the dry down or not.

sbheflin

I wanted to love it but it smells like the fragrance used for sunscreen

Mimithenoynoy

I only like the sweet, berry fruity opening about this perfume. However the rest and the drydown is so disappointing. Also the longevity is worse than the OG. I suggest Zara Majestic Opulance over this one since MO smells quite similar, better in the dry down, has enough longevity and of course much more cheaper option than LVBI. I just sold that flanker. Bye forever.

Hannehoney

The best flanker from this line. The patchouli is more toned down and its more fresh. I love it :) It has a raspberry/chocolate scent with almond in the background. I feel this has a more youthful vibe and its easier to wear than the original. It last about 8-10 hours on my skin and it fills up the room. Great for colder months.

Belsőfény

I think, it has been reformulated in 2022. The box and the list of ingredients have changed a bit.
My original bottle from 2021 is in beast mode. It is an all day fragrance with great sillage.
My review is on 2021 version. I'm not there for the raspberry opening, but the drydown is heavenly. Like a vanilla-marzipan cookie.
In cooler weather it shows the powdery (very powdery) side on me, but as the weather warms up, appears the vanilic, balsamic, resinous side, in addition to the slight astringency. It's as if the benzoin-vanilla-santalwood combo in the base has come to life. Anyway, I really like both of the powdery and the balm side as well. But I only can use it to a maximum of 25-26 degrees, above that it is too strong and annoying. Summer I can use the Zara Majestic Opulence instead, what for me is the summery iris version of the LVEB Intensément.
The recent version according to my nose is much more weaker, and doesn't last. It's like a fabric softener. Less raspberry marzipan, not so deep, and the drydown is nothing compared to the original version. It's possible, that the new bottle needed more maceration, but I didn't think this would be the problem. I am glad to have a backup bottle from 2021.

Irisolar

Anyone know something that smells similar to this, but without/less of the sharp raspberry note?

cypriotsister

I don’t care for any of the LVB. But I sprayed this in store on my hand & thought nothing of it. A few hours later I kept getting wafts of something resembling marzipan.. It was GORGEOUS & sweet & i’m a gourmand lover. It was this! It isn’t my usual scent profile so I bought a cute 15ml travel size & got compliments the first day I wore it to work. I’m now contemplating a larger bottle! This is the ONLY one I’m enjoying in the LVB line! ❤️❤️

Bhavnalovesscents

This was a blind buy. It went from what the hell is this to? Umm i hate it … to omg its nice to wow i really like it now … I was super disappointed when I smelled it for the first time. I literally kept this in one corner and stopped using it completely. Until yesterday, I sprayed it out of curiosity to see if I still feel the same way …. And i was surprised, but i liked it. I like it a lot now. I think I wasn’t ready for a sweet fragrance or was expecting this to be different. But smelling it again with zero expectations and a fresh perspective made me like it so much more. I think just allowing it to sit for a while and using it after really long, made me smell it differently.

Faverinsky

I've just blind purchased this fragrance based on three factors; it's been described as a fruitier version of La Nuit a la Folie (one of my winter faves), it's a raspberry/vanilla/woody/patchouli bomb (check!), and it's a less harsh but more gourmand version of LVEB (check, check!). People; I think I have FINALLY found my all-rounder 4th signature (Roses Vanille in Winter, Coco Mademoiselle Intense in Spring and LVEB Soleil Cristal in Summer)! I can smell the raspberry, pink pepper, bergamot combo at first, and then the heliotrope, vanilla, sandalwood, patchouli and iris help ground the scent and give it some layers/depth! It's a fruitier and juicer version of Tresor La Nuit a la Folie (which dries down to mainly sandalwood, nutmeg and vanilla), and I am here for it!!!

Dawnya7b

The dry down just irritates me for some reason and I’ve had this for over a year and… that darn dry down ugh!

jujuba4596

A really powdery and bitter La Vie Est Belle. Don't fool yourself by looking at the description of vanilla main accords: this is not sweeter than the OG. On my skin, it's not pleaseant, and I still prefer the OG. But my mom tried it and it was great on her!

Lilybythesea

I kept smelling this one for over 2 years, I guess, in women passing by and I was wondering which one is, until a nice lady at the airport in Geneve told me to try it, and I said finalllllyyyyy I found it. I wouldn´t have said it is LVEB, because I do not like the other ones, so I did not even get close to the brand stand when searching for it all this time. BUT NOW I HAVE MY 100ML

Love the dry down so much, it is like orgasmic to me :D

SareBear3

A very nice standard grown woman scent

Strawberrykitty

I like to layer this with Raspberry Jam Donut (RJD) from Bath & Body Works. This is exclusively a nighttime and cold weather scent. The raspberry is thick and syrupy. The og smells like sugary peaches to me—not sure where that’s coming from since it’s not a note—and this is 10x (hyperbole obviously) sweeter than that. You do get a powdery scent from this which is why RJD works so well with this. Blush Cardigan from Bath & Body Works also goes well with this. I do dislike the pink pepper in the opening, but I can appreciate how the little touches like that keep this from smelling as gourmand as RJD.

Drellaras

i want to update my review and say the scent has developed and id say this is 100% a gourmand. to me it smells exactly like brown sugar and caramel?? which is crazy because when i first sprayed it i didn't get that. it's still a dark thick sweet syrupy smell to me. no florals at all. maybe not a late night scent but a holiday one. original lveb knocks this one out of the park

Irisolar

Loved this and wore it a lot. the Drydown is a beautiful powdery sweet vanilla. However over time the opening began to bother me. It opens with a very strong and harsh raspberry note . Unfortunately I’ve stopped reaching for it because of this. We’ll see if that changes again

Drellaras

i've emptied 2 of the original LVEB's in the largest size and decided to try this one. i defffffffinitley like the original better. the original lveb was sweet pink soft feminine vanillay with a little tang and as soon as i sprayed this it immediately took me back to the nights when i was 10 and my mom would be going to a night club/to party and her expensive edp's she'd use that filled the whole house. also as a dancer myself my mind immediately went to...'this smells like a skripper'...it's super dark and heavy (hence the name intensement). id wear this to a date night with a dark red lipstick and black dress. it smells good to me but not at all what i was looking for :(. also i waited 3 weeks for it bc lancôme shipping sucks lol. pretty but not for me! glad i tried it though, i wish they would've offered it in a sample size so i saved my money.

Ddwamaitha

between Lancome A la folie and La Vie Est Belle Intensément Lancôme who copied who the dry down is exactly the same.

Lovely fragrance.

Diari

I loved it at first because its marzipan-vanillic powders was more interesting than the original's sweet-nothing trail; but the more I wore the more I became bothered by the harsh first few minutes, probably bergamot? Used 10ml out of my 30ml bottle and decanted the rest for my friend who loves vanilla.

Ethereal Love

This almost smells like fruity cotton candy. This is soooo pretty. This perfume smells more fruity to me than vanilla, even after several hours into the dry down, so I'm surprised that vanilla is the most prominent main accord to most people on here. The perfume also lasts a very long time (over 6 hours on my skin so far) but I'm not too sure of the sillage yet. I would have to test this out a bit more to see how powerful the projection is. Overall, a nice perfume.

imluthien

Very weak and no sillage.
After roughly 6 hours i cannot smell anything (unless i really stick my wrist up my nose).
It is really a shame as it smells literally like HEAVEN, it would be my signature smell but at least on me, ZERO projection and sillage.

It really smells like heaven and for me it's a 10, but because the performance is zero I don't think i will buy it, at least not the original and super pricy one...I think I am going with a replica hoping to find one close enough

Gillzathrillza

I feel like the odd one out saying this, but I get zero longevity or sillage with this. I sprayed it liberally an hour ago and it’s now a skin scent that I have to huff really hard to smell.

It’s a shame, because at first spray it’s a beautiful, powdery, vanilla version of the original (which was my signature scent for a good few years).

Maybe I’ve got an expired bottle - but this was a major waste of money for me.

PGak

Raspberry waxy lipstick. Raspberry dominates. Tarte. Lipstick is light. So pretty! This is a light, fresh take on LVEB! Very different and definitely not as thick or syrupy as the original.

Momopeach

At first spray, I wasn't sure, but after a few minutes... the dry down is absolute heaven. Powdery soft vanilla that projects well. There is barely a hint of the original LVEB DNA here. I don't really get the fruits but that is OK with me. Maybe it is because the bottle I got is a little older, I got it off Mercari.

This projects well and is quite long lasting, I am really impressed!!

As all pretty colored juices, I wish the color would stay bright reddish pink, but as expected it does turn to brownish orange over time.

autumnblue914

I'm not a huge fan of the OG LVEB but this one is really nice. Much less cloying.

It's warm and sweet, but not overly sweet. Even after the initial raspberry splash there is still some fruitiness that remains throughout the wear but it is mainly a sweet, powdery vanilla as it dries down.

I wish the drydown had a bit more to it than just a powdery vanilla but maybe my untrained nose can't detect it. I don't notice any iris at all. Raspberry, vanilla and the warmth of benzoin is all I can smell.

elleayjay

This is such a unique show-stopping fragrance that I love wearing when I want to be noticed. I get endless compliments when I wear this. It’s very warm and comforting and it invites you in! For me it’s a very whimsical scent and I feel like Alice in Wonderland falling through that hole and ending up in a magical, dreamy fantasy land. It’s sweet and creamy, and has a touch of spice and fruits. It’s definitely a fall/winter scent with its warmth and depth. One of my all time favorites!

babybels777

I don't understand how this is a flanker, because it does not smell anything like the original LVEB. This smells way different, and way better.

CatOwned

The first time I smelled this I didn't like it too much at all. Then I sprayed it on myself at the store and really quite liked this scent.

Palmer Eldritch

A brighter, youthfully fruitier & I dare say more sophisticated version of the original LVEB that made me fall in love with the line again.

I absolutely love the inclusion of the raspberry note, I get a huge blast of it in the beginning &
it lasts on my skin until the very end drying down primarily with the iris, heliotrope and vanilla notes. No baby powder dry down. (I hate baby powder). If you want classy baby powder go for Oud Satin Mood by MFK or Turkish Delight inspired scents such as 'Sweet Oriental Dream' by Montale.

Even thought this is called intensement, this is SO much fresher and less heavy than the original but with more class. I used to own Éclat, and Intensement is fresher than that. This one doesn't have that heavily overwhelming / suffocating white floral notes of Éclat or the sticky sweetness of the original.

Highly recommend this one, it's made for a younger crowd compared to the rest of the line which is quite mature (especially Éclat).

B311an

To be honest I don’t get any raspberry in the opening, unless I really search for it, then it dries down to a baby powder smell, which I am not a fan of. Overall I’d rate this perfume a 6/10.

RhettB27

This one smells like Red Velvet Cake to me once it’s settled. Ugh just delicious off the blotter with a creaminess like Oreo crème. Some nice warmth too. Damn this one is really good, I liked the richness and decadence of the original but this one seems like it wouldn’t be as heavy and cloying but still rich and delicious. Not bad at all I need to have my fiancé actually wear it!

Orange Heart

For some reason I'm unable to smell it at all. I've been trying to test it for a few days but the only way I can detect anything at all is when I spray way too much of it on my wrist and literally touch my nose against my skin. And what I'm getting is something green? I have no idea what it is but it's not pleasant.

I WANTED TO LOVE THIS. Looking at the pyramid it has all the notes I love and it seemed like it would be a great scent to add to my collection.

I don't know if i have a bad bottle or I'm anosmic to every note in this particular perfume (despite being able to smell all of these notes in other perfumes).

SaltyVanilla

I own and enjoy the La Vie Est Belle Eclat EDP and La Vie Est Belle Soleil Cristal so I thought I would enjoy this one too. The bottle juice looked so red and juicy. On first spray I got a whiff of the raspberry but then an overwhelming baby powder comes in and takes over the entire fragrance. This is how I learned heliotrope is not for me because the iris in my other two flankers is a touch powdery but this…it’s pure j&j baby powder. Unfortunately this is a negative scent memory for me and I found it a bit nauseating. I know many people enjoy the smell of baby powder however and they would love this scent. It have tested it twice on paper and twice on my skin to be sure. It’s just not for me.

toeveh

This is the more fruitier and spicier version of the original La Vie Est Belle thanks to the raspberry and pink pepper. I really enjoy it! I do have to admit though that I find the opening to be a tad bit unpleasant due to the pink pepper. The initial spray is so peppery alongside the patchouli which comes off a bit too strong for me, but as soon as it settles down it’s beautiful. It’s a very sweet perfume but not sweet in the sickly sweet way, it’s more heavy sweet and mature. It dries down to a powdery vanilla with patchouli and raspberries. It projects pretty okay too, you definitely have to be a bit careful with over spraying as it’s too cloying when over-sprayed! I also do get the LVEB DNA in here, they both smell pretty similar but the Intensement more raspberry and peppery. It lasts about 10 hours for me.

swedishmilk15

I love this SO MUCH!! The red juice and red bow are the perfect details, I'm really enjoying that, coming up on Christmas. Lancome is correct about this being an addictive rouge vanilla. I was a bit scared of the pink pepper, as I've HATED it in other perfumes. I had nothing to worry about though, it's a nice balance, here. I prefer it to the OG, since it's fruitier and spicier. I want to spray it on everything!

amg7613

A beautiful, creamy “fruitchouli” with raspberry, heliotrope and vanilla up top. It is teeming with patchouli. I’ve seen reviews saying that Intensement is not as heavy on the patchouli as the OG, but I would disagree. I can smell it the entire time and I think this is what is making it last so long. It dries down into a sweet vanilla cake (and lasts alllll day long!).

twalkin

The dominant smell for me is raspberry - it's a beautiful, chic scent, and perfect for spring and summer. Super feminine, it brings to mind a quietly confident but assertive personality. I love it.

gnathaliegh

Call me basic, but I still really like the way the original LVEB smells. So a few months ago, I decided to give Intensement a chance. For the first 10-15 minutes I mainly get that delicious sweet rasberry note. The main floral notes I smell are definitely the heliotrope and iris, giving this a slightly "mature" & lipsticky vibe that remains throughout the whole day. Vanilla and patchouli dominate the base notes. Like the original LVEB, this is a very strong performing fragrance that lasts the entire day until I take a shower the next day.
This one is more "serious" and grown than the original in my opinion and more appropriate for formal or professional settings. It's still a very sweet perfume but just more balanced and not as obnoxious as the OG. Of course, it's not super unique but it's a beautiful fragrance and definitely a compliment getter.

EG123

Meh I much prefer the original Lveb

EDIT: OK nvm its my favourite lveb by far, totally better than the original. Really feminine, intoxicating, and gourmandish with the vanilla. Peak femininity and what I would want my girlfriend to smell like haha

BoryanaB

After 2 hours it's pure culinary vanilla, like essence or the power that are added to a cake.

siraako1

This smells like my mom! And I do think it fits more for ladies than gals. Very romantic, beautiful, sweet and mature scent for cold periods! I recommend this for gift to your mother, aunt or even grandma! :)

Sparkled91

Think Carnival! Think Fresh Powdered Elephant Ear! Think Cotton Candy! Stay away if you do not like sweet smelling fragrances! This is a playful fun Saturday shopping movie with the girls type fragrance....Not the go to when I'm trying to be serious ! This one is a date night NO!

Mirdi2022

Wow! The original La vie est belle smells nice but gives me headaches, I’ve decided to try this one instead and immediately fell in love!!! Bought the full sized bottle and have been wearing this non stop! The opening is fruity and it dries down to a beautiful vanilla on me. I can still smell it even after 12+ hours of wear which very rarely happens because a lot of perfumes seem to evaporate from my skin! I think it suits all kinds of weather but maybe not super hot and humid days. Perfect for date nights and gets me lots of compliments.

AuthenticAF

I love this, it is very beautiful. It lasts and lasts on my skin. I mainly smell vanilla and raspberry. Probably good for all times of year except super high heat. Very natural smelling and not synthetic at all to my nose. Only one or two sprays is all you need.

LanaDelSlay

Honestly I know it's like a super basic perfume but this one is kinda pretty. Smells super sugary at first but I let it sit on me and I smelled a sudden orange flower scent and powdery, and i thought whats that smell? not the perfume I put on because suddenly it's not sugary anymore? But I checked the notes and saw the orange flower and it made sense, it really develops with time until the sugar is in the background and not the forefront anymore. It's kinda pretty but again it's true, it's basic, but it can be nice for those days where you don't wanna stand out and u just wanna smell good and feminine

Lyric82

Oh my, I LOVE this. I like the original, but to me, this is a much more gourmand version. It is very sweet, but I don’t think anyone buys a flanker for La Vie Est Belle and doesn’t expect sweetness. I definitely still smell the patchouli from the original, and I love that. The raspberry isn’t super strong to my nose but the pink pepper makes up for it. And since Lancôme knows how to give us our moneys’ worth, the longevity is excellent. I find the performance of this to be comparable to the original, so keep that in mind. I think this is a perfect flanker… it shares enough dna of LVEB to sense the similarities, and it’s also different enough to warrant owning both.

Cookietookie215

I for some reason have been obsessed with the LVEB I love the original. I seen this one was on sale for dirt cheap so I went and blind bought it and I wasn’t so impressed. It’s sweet and nice but barely any LVEB dna in there. I think removing the patchouli and spun sugar changed it drastically. I almost felt ripped off lmaoo because to my nose it smells like a celebrity scent I already have. I won’t gate keep this dupe because you can spend less to smell like Intensément.

If you want this flanker but it’s breaking the bank. Buy Mariah Carey’s “Mine Again” red butterfly bottle.

Both have that same raspberry, chocolate gourmand feel along with some powdery play dough nuances
In the base notes.

I’m gonna retest with a clean pallet and edit this review. This is literally my first impression lol

Roos88dutch

Love it really signature sent worthy . Sweet raspberry vanilla woody . Smells al a bit like flowerbomb ruby orchid same sweetness .

mlrd217

Normally I don't care about the flanker, but this flanker is much better than the original LVEB, much more wearable. I love LVEB but it can be pretty hard to wear, it needs colder weather and with the strong patchouli, it can trigger a migraine. The intensement is the answer for those who have problems with the original.
This intensement is not the stronger or more intense version of LVEB, it should be named different, I don't smell the DNA from LVEB on this flanker.
Dark pink raspberry, sweet creamy vanilla, some iris and heliotrope that give the dry down powdery and fluffy. Very feminine, very delicious, sweet but not too sweet and very smooth. I wear this on summer in Arizona and no headache at all. I think the pink pepper keep it from being too sweet. At first spray it shares similar vibe with Miss Dior AB, which I love too, but different on the middle and dry down. Miss Dior AB is more dense and sweeter. The projection is moderate with 6-8 hours longevity, depend on how much you spray.

ctychick

Signature at first sniff! Well, not exactly, but after sampling this on the skin and confirming that the intoxicating dry down of this fragrance stuck around for hours, I put in my order for a full bottle and haven't looked back. It is now my signature and I bury my nose in my arm every chance I get. I'm terrible at putting scents into words, so please trust me and sample this. Definitely give it about 15-20 min on the skin, though. After that, you'll get an intoxicating vanilla, slightly powdery and sweet scent bubble. It's not overpowering, but I catch a gentle whiff of this whenever I gesture, turn my head, etc. And, as I said, whenever I need a lift I just pass my nose over my forearm and fall under its spell. The original and some of the other LVEB's were way too sharp for me. This one is just divine, though.

likesleet

sweet maltol vanilla + tropical-sih bright fruitiness

_jenevieve_

This- is beautiful. Pretty, fluffy, pink, a raspberry-vanilla confection of a fragrance.
To my nose, sweeter and warmer, with more orange blossom than it's drier Iris sister. This Intensément has a bit of the La Vie dna, but surprisingly I don’t find it redundant. It’s like a halfway point between the original LVEB and Nina Ricci Rose Extase. Just gorgeous.
Unlike the original, no praline here, but packed with enough Amber and depth that it doesn’t need it. It does deepen as the fragrance wears, so it is certainly not linear. The perfume performs well on skin, which I love. Any sprayed onto clothes lasts for days.
I also love Soleil Cristal from this line. Like the original, I find it drier than this, but with an added coconut note. It’s very sophisticated for a coconut fragrance. I find this version to have a more playful vibe. I’ve worn them together with success.
Overall, a great buy, and I’m happy to have added Intensément to my collection.

SimonsTux

It kind of reminds me a little bit of Miss Dior EDP 2017 even though they don't share a scent profile. Powdery (iris), patchouli, pink pepper, a deep berry (not like Mon Paris). Sophisticated and slightly mature. Great longevity, decent projection and sillage (slightly less than LVEB) as with most Lancome. Definitely an all-arounder, easy reach. All seasons, all times of day, all occasions. 7/10

WildDove

La Vie est Belle Intensement is very sweet and candy-like, with dominant notes of raspberry, cherry, and vanilla, over amber and patchouli. Not too much like La Vie est Belle, though I love that one too.

Skinterpreter

This was a blind buy, I was tempted to buy it since I really like the OG (also, I am sucker for sweet perfumes and iris. :P).
The very first spritz was kind of weird and not what I expected. It felt like tons of patchouli on my skin and nothing else.
However, after some time it dried down to this intense and sophisticated, sweet raspberry & chocolate combination and I can't get enough of it :). There is still hint of patchouli in the background but overall I really get that familiar smell of the raspberry chocolate I like having before my coffee. :P Very nice and addictive, also new and unusual to my collection. :) To my nose it is very candy like. I do not get the iris note as much as I do in the original one but I don't mind it. :)

Joshhiggins32

This is a shock to me. I do not like the OG so liking the intense version I was surprised. This is such a nice vanilla fragrance. It’s not linear to vanilla but the vanilla makes for a great background for the other notes to come through. This is sweet but unique. It could be unisex if you enjoy sweeter scents. This is a great performer with lasting power and scent bubble. Give it a try even if you don’t like the other flankers.

Naadiae

very sweet i really love it

@pauliedoodle~I have loved reading your reviews before, but I must tell you, your use of caps for every single word really hurts peoples' eyes. I don't know how, but it does. Happy your mom and you matched and had a great time at the movies with perfumes that were in sync.

And Actually They Really Did Compliment Each Other To Perfection!!

Anyway, A Lady Who Was Sitting Four Seat's Away From Us Both, (Same Row As Us, There On Her Own) Spoke Nicely To Us Both As She Edged Herself Passed Us To Reach Her Seat Etc, (Absolutely FANTASTIC MOVIE Btw Highly Recommend It ) At The End When The Movie Had Finished, Again She Spoke To Us Both, Enquiring If We Had Both Really Enjoyed The Film Etc, Which We Most Certainly Did, Commented And Said It Was So Nice, Sitting Near To Us Both, As She Kept Getting The Most Beautiful Soft Wiff's Of Our Perfume, And Had To Ask Us Both What Perfume We Had On!! Heidi2021

Love love love this! Rasberryvanilla with a little bit of heliotrope and wood. It's so gorgeous, Im using it so often right now, that it's almost like my signature scent at the moment. Lovely bottle as well.

Ella7712

Love this❣ It's very different from the OG, I don't know why it's a flanker.

Polohater

wow wow wow love so much!!! it’s very strong so i would say two sprays is enough and then it stays on clothes forever. i love the fruitiness and vanilla notes. the bottle is so cute with the little bow. i thought it was too strong at first but i think i sprayed it too much. makes me feel fabulous and gorgeous i want to wear pretty dresses and frolic in a strawberry field.

LillaMymlan

In my opinion this is one of the best LVEB flankers. I do prefer this over the original LVEB. Right at the first moment you get a blast of that sweet juicy raspberry. It then quickly turn a bit powdery, almost lipsticky due to the iris note, but still very sweet. The vanilla base in this is the best part, and it blends with the raspberry in a beautiful way.

The smell of this perfume is overall very long lasting and linger on to skin and clothes for hours. You don’t really need that much, a little goes a long way.

I already bought myself a back up bottle. It is that good! If you’re into a sweet raspberry vanilla scent you’ll appreciate this one. This might also be a good alternative to the original LVEB because they are quite different. The Intensément version is a must try.

chloe_pip

I bought this blindly as it was on offer for half price in Boots (uk) and I’m not disappointed!
When it’s first sprayed I definitely see the resemblance to La Nuit Tresor A La Folie with sweet and spicy notes. As it settles it becomes something completely different. Sweet berries and powder. Possibly generic, but really pleasant!

NancyD76

This is such a beautiful, warm, cosy, classy scent... I just loooove it!
It's quite different from the OG LVEB. To my opinion this is a very original scent, not a flanker. I own a lot of perfumes but I cannot compare this one with any other perfume.
It's sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet. The vanilla is just perfect, it's the sweetest creamiest vanilla possible. This scent is just comfy and classy at the same time.

I'm a big fan of the OG LVEB, but the original can be too overwhelming sometimes. To me the OG is a pure winter scent. This Intensément can be worn all year through, daytime and nighttime. Perfect date night scent :-)

Now in spring time I layer it with the new Oui LVEB, which is the perfect spring flanker (fruity & floral addition to the OG). I love the combination of those two, perfect match!

Note: I do not love all LVEB flankers. I don't like the Eclat + Rose, and the Soleil Cristal I like but do not love...
To me, the best LVEB are the OG + Intensément + Oui!

🗣La Vie Est Belle Intensėment edp:
(And Is'nt Life Deffo Beautiful Now Alright!!)

This Without A Doubt Is My ALL Time Favourite La Vie Est Belle Perfume Flanker Yet!! And Out Of All The One's Lancome Have Brought Out, This Is The One I Deffo LOVE The Most, And The One I Mostly Reach For To Wear!! As For Me It's Absolute Perfection In A Bottle, And What A Beautiful And Classy, Heavy Glass Bottle It Comes In Also!! In My Honest Opinion, This Should Have Been The 1st Ever La Vie Est Belle Lancome Launched, As It's Just Pure Perfection, Utter Class And Sex Appeal In A Bottle, And Tbh, Im Not A Real Fan Of The Original La Vie Est Belle, And That's Coming From A TRUE Patchouli Fragrance Lover!! As I Find It Way To Screechy, And Way To Sickly Sweet!! (And Yes I Do Already Own It But DON'T Reach For It That Often) As I Find That It Deffo Has To Wear On My Skin, For A Good 30+ Min's To Settle Itself Down, Where As This Intenėsment Version, Is Perfection From The Second It's Sprayed And Touches My Skin!! The Difference Is Day And Night Between Them Both, And This One Deffo Is'nt As Sweet Also As The Original!!

Maybe That's Something To Do With The Beautiful Raspberry Top Note, And The Pink Pepper Note That Follows It, And Then The Creamy Vanilla, White Florals And Iris, All Laid And Blended So Perfectly Well On A Bed Of Amber, Woody Notes, Patchouli And Soft Warm Spices, And This Time The Patchouli Is So Well Behaved And Not At All Over Bearing Nor Over Powering!! The Longevity Is Also Outstanding At 22+ Hour's Without Any Touch Up's Along The Way!! (Pretty Outstanding In My Book) + You'll Be Sure To Get Well Noticed When Your Wearing This Absolute Beauty Too!! From Guy's, Girl's And Even Total Strangers In The Street/Supermarket!! lol"lol"lol

Lancome Also Chose Extremely Well Using The Very Beautiful And Stunning Julia Roberts As The Face/Person Behind Their La Vie Est Belle Fragrance TV Ad's, For The Way Her Down To Earth Personality Really Lights Up Paris And It's Wonderful Landmark The Eiffel Tower, And The Way She Brings The Actual Perfume To Life!! Is All Beautifully Captured!! All In All Lancome Are Deffo Onto A Real Winner Here, This Perfume Is Just OUTSTANDING From Start To Finish!!! And It's A Massive LOVE From Me!!!!

piahellgren

Absolutely stunning and quite similar to Tresor La Nuit à La Folie. The lovely smokiness of Folie is just detectable in LVEBI, but it’s there. This perfume is bright and soothing at the same time. The iris, heliotrope and raspberry notes are just perfectly balanced. I think Lancome does THE best vanilla notes too. The best. I ooonly with this was a tad stronger…

dearaari

Here comes the white florals lover’s two cents 😂 Extremely sweet. That was my first impression. Amazing lasting power! So good, phenomenal even. Would last days on my clothing and my husband would always tell me you smell nice. I pick up mostly vanilla, raspberry and orange blossom. I’d describe this perfume as thick, dense and pungent. So.... I’ve been looking for an alternative to the Bouquet de Printemps version of LVEB which is a much more subdued everyday wear take on the original. It was my absolute holy grail but the intensement proved to be too much for me. It’s a gourmands lovers dream but I’d get choked out when I’d wear it. It smelt heavenly on the tester strip but I have to keep on looking for my version of LVEB. This isn’t for everyone.

MareaCamacho

This is an amazing base perfume to layer with fruity floral perfumes. I sprayed this one and then 2 spritz of jasmine wisp and OMG complete magic. I can't wait to try other layers with this perfume. I live on a hot and humid tropical island surrounded by ocean and this is just magnificent. I feel like a tropical fairy that has the power of blooming flowers and ripening fruits and berries on their branches and bushes.

AMAZING and lasting on me and my skin tends to soak up perfumes so fast. I love the aura this has. I have no regrets.

Murmur123123

If you know how La Nuit Tresor A La Folie & the original LVEB EDP smell like: the first 10min of Intensement to me is 40% of the creamy woody vanilla of A La Folie + a sweet but not too ripe or sickening fruity note (I’m not a big fan of fruity scents in general).

10min later, the fruity note goes away and the sweet patchouli DNA of LVEB comes out, but maybe only 50% as compared to the LVEB EDP. The woody vanilla note stays throughout, but because of the LVEB DNA, I find Intensement different enough from A La Folie to justify owning both.

leonaV

I have never been a fan of the original LVeB so I have never been looking for trying any other versions of it. But it was a mistake, because other versions are much much better. I received this one as a gift and firstly I was not really impressed just because I was persuaded this won´t be good. But when I first sprayed it, it totally changed my mind.
This fragrance is really sweet, but totally suitable for a daily use. I smell raspberries and vanilla the most, when it dries down, there is a hint of patchouli. For some people might be this one a really generic and unoriginal perfume but I think it is nice smelling perfume that does´t bother anyone. Many people have even asked me what perfume I am wearing. So definitely this one is a huge compliment getter.

Dragonweengs

I’ve never smelled LVEB or any flankers, I’m sure people have worn it around me.
So I was looking for a raspberry fragrance and this one was suggested.

I smell the raspberry and pink pepper in the opening. It’s a sweet creamy raspberry, not tart or too juicy. Then the creamy vanilla and heliotrope. The dry down adds to the creaminess with that sandalwood whilst the creamy raspberry envelopes the fragrance till the end. I like it. It’s sweet and romantic.

Julie Su G

Beautiful perfume. Quite different from the OG, a softer scent - not loud, less patchouli (and I do like patchouli). I detect a hint of coconut, although this is not listed in the notes. As the day wears on, it becomes even more delicious in the dry down. Longevity is incredible, stays on clothes for days! I just love it, cant stop sniffing my wrist - it justmakes me feel happy!

sydneycmck

Gorgeous perfume. Even on my dry skin, it finds a way to last me throughout my day. I found this perfume to be perfectly balanced, and elegantly sweet. It reminds me of my mother in the best way, the scent is very warm and comforting. The benzoin and the sandalwood in the dry down is a very nice pairing; overall, this perfume is easily one of the best I have ever owned.

Leigh-xox

I bought this about a year ago, I quite liked it but kept comparing it to the OG LVEB and felt disappointed. A year later and I’ve started wearing it again, it feels like it lasts 10x longer now and smells 10x better. I can smell the vanilla and raspberry blending together beautifully and I have a whole new appreciation for this flanker!

Not sure what changed my mind but I’m glad I didn’t sell this one as I had originally planned to.

Nora Gad

It's much better than the original La vie but it's too heavy and not my cup of tea , it's not safe for blind buy

mariakok

I don’t get berries and vanilla as much as I get almond. That’s why I love it! Different than the original sickeningly sweet LVEB, but still sweet sexy and gourmand with toned down patchouli. Better than all the flankers in my opinion

Edit: 10 hours later and this is still very prominent on my skin!

madonnatella

we're smelling this perfume for 10 years now and I liked it from the begiining. never however there was one (in the obscene number of flankers) that I found truly agreeable. 'too light' my verdict always sounded. until I spritzed this exceptionally beautiful variant. it apparently has ingredients in just that way composed that strike a snare to this notorious 80s - oud - all Montales' oud-roses - les parfums du dechet (decomposition, offal) - Dusitas Oudh Infini - and Dominique Ropion, lover. it has the saccharine, übervanille footprint yet, the heady indole, iris addition, the heliotrope, the resins and patchouli make this perfume for me heavy enough to finally say: yes !

Rosemary14

There is a reason La Vie Est Belle is one of the most successful fragrances of the last decade. Not only is it rich and sweet it’s also very elegant. So many other houses have their version but usually lack it’s sophistication. I loved the original but honestly the patchouli took over on my skin. This is a much more refined version of the OG. The patchouli is very toned down and the vanilla is turned up. This is far better blended than the OG. It’s not too sweet and incredibly smooth, a tiny bit powdery with iris. There is a slight spicy pink pepper in the opening and maybe a tiny bit of raspberry. It smells like rasberry- vanilla cake. Love 💗

Lianne311211

I love this perfume. I get whiff of iris, vanilla and raspberry. The patchouli is in the background too. The vanilla is creamy and dense, the raspberry is bright and sharp the patchouli isn't overwhelming and I'm not a fan of patchouli but it's tolerable in this fragrance. I do get a bit of the jasmine, I love jasmine in fragrances it's one of my favourite notes. Intensement is sweet but not childish a perfect medium of fruity and sweet. This lasts a long time on me and, the sillage isn't as strong as the original but it's still good. The benzoin randomly comes through in little twinges.

twiztidladii

I won’t lie, I’m disappointed. I have L’Eclat and I love it so much that I want a second bottle. Comparing that to this..,this one flunked the test. The name of it is “Intensement” so I assumed there would be more fire and intensity from this one. It just doesn’t do that for me. The Pink Pepper note is the only thing keeping this perfume from being like any other Vanilla fragrance out there made for evening wear. I really gotta contemplate if I should keep it….or return it and lose all the bonus Ulta points I earned from buying it. Lol. *sigh*

LuckyMommy

I really don't like the opening of this, it's peppery, patchouli and to much iris.
But when it dries down it gets so good, sweet vanilla, creamy sandalwood with a hint of that raspberry, and the iris gets powdery and soft.
It has a bit of the original LVEB DNA, so lovely.

LSAUG

At least this is better than the original. It has more depth and character and doesn't have that stupid praline chocolate nutty candy note that drives me to distraction. This is a pretty good fruity vanilla. Lots of orange blossom w/ a pretty good vanilla, soft sandalwood and patchouli. Not bad but not worth the $$$$.

Hush Her

I love, love, love it.
Despite the reviews that I've read, I was afraid this was gonna disappointment. I was wrong!

It smells similar to LVEB in a beautiful way. It's amazing and way spicier than the ori LVEB. I definitely smelled the syrupy note but it wasn't overwhelming. The notes are blended well together that they breezed out in gentlest way. When I woke up after hours of wearing this, I smelled vanilla on my wrist (not the vomiting-overwhelming-creamy-vanilla), it was just simple and perfect. I'm glad I tried this out. Whatever you feel like buying, embrace the fragrance despite hate or love. Years of sniffing fragrances, I learnt that from love can change to hate and hate can evolve to love.

Cheers, fragrance lovers.

Tigi

Like with her sister, my signature, the original and iconic La Vie Est Belle, I find this specific combination of notes creates an harmonious, perfectly composed and ethereally beautiful composition. Though completely different from one another scent-wise, it's like this one and the original are sisters: strikingly beautiful though each in her own, unique and special way.
Performance is stellar/ the fragrance ranks 10 of 10 for me.
The classic 1949 bottle design is, of course, flawless. Another great love from Maison Lancome!😍

Maria19

There is something about this scent, can't put my finger on It. Bought It, and I am happy that I did. On my skin I smell rasberry-vanilla-orange blossom. Not too sweet, which is good. I just enjoy this scent, that's all.

vanillaorchid

Smells just like La Vie Est Belle, but sweeter and just a bit spicier. In general, this line really isn't for me, but if I had to choose between this and the original, I'd pick this instead.

iluvminecraft69

the number one fragrance i smell from aunties wearing louis vuitton bags at the mall. boring, overdone, nothing unique, generally likeable.

GoodVibrations

Ptptptptptptptpink pepper nightmare! 🌶
It’s like the first blast of cinnamon in Big Red and Red Hots getting stuck to your tongue and sinus cavity and it doesn’t stop! It’s an irritant! Below all that obnoxious pepper is a smooth sandalwood vanilla thing that might be nice if you can manage to eat through the barbed wire effect of the pink pepper. The base is almost good because it veers close to Bvlgari Black. But where Bvlgari Black evokes rubber, this evokes scented plastic dolls from the ‘80s.

Catsylvania

LVEB never tickled my fancy because of how linearly sweet it is but this particular flanker is a much needed positive change.

It's certainly not something out of this world or outstanding but I definitely appreciate modern crowd pleasers bothering with some good quality powdery notes and a robust balsamic base. It's much too common to have splendid top notes and be left with a bald base. LVEB Intensement has a very pleasant opening, like, you know, sugar, spice and everything nice. There you have some gorgeous sweetness that's balanced against slightly sour raspberry and very noticeable pink pepper and bergamot (the most prominent top note to my nose btw). This concoction risks getting chaotic and unbalanced but the overall sweetness seems to glue it all together pretty well.

Won't lie, I can't detect any visible fleur d'oranger, jasmine or heliotrope but after a while you can certainly notice a good trace of powdery iris. The base is a robust sweet mix of vanilla and benzoin. It could get too linear but some hints of patchouli on my skin freshened up the overall experience and gave Intensement some new colors. At some point, the vanilla and iris gave me makeup vibes.

Overall, I actually really liked this flanker. It's super cozy and soothing and lacks that megalithic sweetness that made me grind my teeth upon meeting the original LVEB. Raspberry and patchouli made a sound difference, and powdery notes took things to a different level. Intensement is a frag so surprisingly great in quality that I'm still eyeing good deals in store or online.

I don't think I even need to comment on silage and longevity because it's still LVEB we're talking about!

Very happy with the experience and looking forward to get myself a bottle.

Veronika95

This should be named La Vie Est Belle Disappointmént... I guess it's good for someone who finds original LVEB too sweet. This is a washed up version of it. Lighter, fruitier less interesting TO ME. It's still very nice scent, it's just not what I prefer at all. I miss the praline 😌 longevity and projection is nowhere near the original.

minnoouu

I first bought this perfume last year and i fell in love. I’m the type to associate smell to memories and i wore this everyday on my month long trip to Paris. This perfume is the embodiment of Paris for me. Strong, sweet, sexy and musky....a little dirty almost. Lasts a whole sweaty day and the clothes never lose the scent.

Marcia M

Love it :) Definitely getting another one

jasiepooh

i really enjoy this fragrance and do prefer it to the original. While i find LVEB to be a really bright and sweet floral that tingles at my nose and has the potential to get overwhelming really quickly, i find this to be more grounded and interesting, i think partly due to that introduced raspberry note.

there's also something about this fragrance that makes me think of alien-- it's a sort of latex-y note to my nostrils that i can't put my finger on but am always obsessed with in a fragrance (maybe it's the type of jasmine? somebody pls lmk if you know what it is.)

all in all, i do like this fragrance quite a bit. I'm not sure if i could wear it super regularly because quite like the original, it's still a very bright and loud scent that might give me a headache if not used sparingly. that said, i really think it's beautiful
in its own right and i enjoy it on occasion.

JulMinty

I really enjoy this perfume. The pepper really comes through for me in this one.

Rose du soir

Intensément is a powdery and very balsamic vanilla, not a syrupy chocolatey gourmand like La Vie Est Belle and its flankers. It doesn't have any orange blossom or praline. It's much more mature and sophisticated. If I blind tested it, I'd have thought it was a Guerlain.
LVEB Intensément opens as a very strong amber-raspberry with iris. I detect a strong myrrh note. It's not that fruity, but amber amplifies the sweetness. From a distance, it smells more powdery and lipsticky. The dry down evolves to a makeup-y vanilla that evokes me Mon Guerlain a little bit, although it's not similar. It has a similar powdery feel, but smoother, deeper and more sultry. It's very perfumey and strong, everyone will know you're wearing expensive perfume even with a mask on ! Not for the office and not for hot Summer days ! A couple of sprays is enough. Longevity is about 15 hours on skin before it turns into a skin scent.
A very beautiful perfume that I hope Lancôme will keep in production.

rickyrebarco

Nice raspberry and vanilla, a creamy scent with heliotrope lightening it. I like it, but it's a bit too sweet and too 'loud' on my skin for me to purchase. Also, the patchouli gets too intense and a bit sour on my skin in the drydown. I have this problem often with patchouli, which is unfortunate, since it has ruined some good fragrances for me.

Surprised that there’s no rose in here because that’s what I get up top … Rose, citrus, and raspberry, with added LVEB vanilla-patchouli in the drydown. On the skin, I occasionally get a whiff of something that’s sort of soapy or clean. It’s a little out-of-place, and I could do without it .. but it doesn’t ruin it for me. (I get this mostly in the late midphase, early drydown.)

For being the “intense” version, I think the original is stronger. Intensement is surprisingly fresh with the citrus and raspberry in the top and the lighter, powdery, raspberry/spun sugar/vanilla drydown .. But it’s still a LVEB, so it’s still got good projection and staying power. (I still got whiffs of this 10+ hours after application … *one* spray on my wrist!)

I have both the original and Intensement and enjoy both. This flanker would be a LVEB for spring/summer, but really, this is great all year. A winner for me!

I enjoyed hating LVeB's sooo much. Making fun of it with other perfume snobs..... I am kidding, don't be mad at me.
Then this one came out. OMG. I wear it exclusively at home. Not because I'm a guy, but bc I kinda...... I want it for myself.
This is an art installation. Not perfect. Yet perfect as is. Tart raspberry juxtaposed with a decadent coconut note - the result is an over the top, haute couture scent that evokes vintage lipsticks, makeup.....boudoir, but in a classy, non-skanky way.
A true gem I refuse to be without! Sillage? Longevity? Endless...

ShowMustGoOn

Sweet and delicious. I can’t stand anything in La Vie Est Belle line but this is the only one that got me! Opens up fruity raspberry and vanilla. Vanilla stays throughout and there’s some almond like note, perhaps heliotrope gives that almond like vibe. However it doesn’t stay on me. I feel like my skin just absorbs it and even if I overspray it won’t stay longer than 2 hours. Still highly recommend it. It’s an all season scent. I don’t find it cloying in warm weather but probably won’t wear during the day but rather at night in the summer.

Tweez

Bought this as a blind buy. The jury is out as normally I’m a gourmand lover, this is incredibly strong for me and I normally can take strong fragrances. It’s heavy, sweet, fruity and vanilla fumes went straight down my throat I’m afraid and I feel like I’ve got a sore throat….I’ve had to wash it off my skin as much as I can as it’s so cloying. I did three sprays, each wrist and neck. Managed to rid most of it off my wrists. I may try again with just a tiny amount but a bit scared to be honest. Intense, it certainly is.

lmwimsatt

Ahh this would be perfect if it were a tad less sweet. To me this smells like 2 of my valentinas; blush and myrrh mixed together

Hquinn6464

I was kind of afraid to blind buy this because I read some people got a cough syrup/medicine scent but am happy to say this has been another successful purchase. Sweet vanilla raspberry that is so addictive I respray it on myself after it wears off (about 4-5 hours). I don’t smell the pink pepper which I’m totally ok with. Can’t get enough of it!

Bombalurina

This is the only LVEB I need 💕💕💕 I’ve tried the original, Soleil Crystal, En rose, Intense and this is the one I like the most.
It’s kind of a sweet berry powder, with some light citrus and pepper and it settles to a perfect creamy powdery base with some of the light florals
It lasts a long time on skin and lasts for days on clothing! I was convinced to buy it because it lasted a week on the testing strip and I kept going back to it

The only other LVEB I’d like to try is the Florale EDT

Alde

I like this perfume even though I can't smell floral notes much. On my skin, it feels creamy (almost lactonic) and sweet. I can pick up vanilla and benzoin. Quite a smooth scent, not very playful. Go for it if you want to smell edible but not an overwhelming way. The only sad part about this perfume is that it doesn't last long. Which came to me as a surprise, other Lancome perfumes last longer than this one. After two hours of wearing this, there is almost nothing left.

DiaAnna

Another disappointment. After they discontinued the best of the range - LVEB intense, they came out with a supposedly intense version - Intensement -.- ; No, it’s nothing intense about it, it’s name should be - Not Intense. First spray - huge expectations, it really tricks you into thinking it has potential - hence many say it’s pretty intense and blah blah - , it settles super quick and after an hour max remains close to the skin slowly fading away. Honestly, lately I’ve been reading comments about different perfumes and I see so many that are not realistic at all, I can’t go into blind-buys like before because it’s all cop doughnuts around.

Elsee

Hello fans of LVEB Intensement - If you purchased this last fall or winter, I would like to suggest that you bring it out of hibernation and try it in the heat of the late spring and summer. This beauty blooms with the heat! It's glorious and you will probably get a different experience. I'm looking forward to wearing this today as it should be in the mid 80's here in the high desert of New Mexico.

I wish you all a perfect day!
Enjoy!

Allen-at-home seems to have some vanilla rage to process.

I get a sweet, beautiful gourmand with raspberries, jasmine and vanilla...debating a FB when I drain my sample. Doesn't smell anything like original LVEB to me. Very glad to have tried this one based on positive reviews from some fellow Fragranticans I compulsively follow. ;)

Allen-at-home

Question - IS it necessary to put vanilla in EVERY OTHER FRAGRANCE??? First of all, let me start my review by saying this. I've always been fascinated with the smell of raspberries. (Raspberry is just a feel-good note for me, and very rare in men's frags.) So I ordered a sample of this because one of the reviewers below said it's like LVEB minus the praline note, which is good for me because I don't like praline. So I am wearing it now, and the other reviewers are 100% right about it being sweet. I LIKE sweets frags, but I actually feel light-headed wearing this. So it certainly would have been sweet enough WITHOUT that vanilla note! - VANILLA ISN'T NECESSARY IN EVERY OTHER FRAGRANCE! - In fact, I'll go as far as to say the vanilla RUINS it. The raspberry, heliotrope, iris, and benzoin would have been enough. It's definitely more floral as it dries down, but nothing special, IMO. - Overall, not bad, but not for me because of that vanilla. Now, if they ever make a flanker minus the vanilla, I wouldn't mind giving that a sniff. NOTE TO PERFUMERS - VANILLA HAS BEEN DONE TO DEATH. STOP the madness! :-0

ProfoundAroma

This is the only LVB that I like. It’s delicious and creamy
This is different from the rest . Love the raspberry and vanilla with that orange blossom that comes through. This scent last all day. Very powerful !

scentobsessed01

This is gorgeous, Not a fan of LVEB but love this

KBreckenridge

I don't like very sweet scents, and I definitely don't like the original LVEB. With this being said, I like this flanker. Yes, it is still very sweet, but they did away with the praline from the original, threw in some orange blossom and vanilla and that seems to work for me. My favorite LVEB version is L'Eau de Parfum Intense, which sadly has been discontinued. That was one was centered on a buttery tuberose note and it was just stunning. Intensement would be my second choice.

stefani valini

This version of LVEB is very different from the OG. This one is very very sweet and I love it. Its playfull, not serious. The strongest notes are the sweet and powdery vanilla, benzoin and rasberry's sirup. If you dont love sweet scent this one is not for you. The opening is brighter because of the bergamote and I perceive the pink pepper too. The sillage is moderate and it last 6 hours on me, beautifull scent for spring.

Edit: This perfume is the mixte between LVEB OG and trésor la nuit à la folie. I dont really appreciate à la folie but LVEB Intensément I love it

SailorV

My favorite version of LVEB so far. To be fair it doesn't smell that similar to the original, but some smaller similarities are there. I feel like Intensement does to LVEB what À la Folie does to La Nuit Tresor. They're balmy, sweet, red-tinted benzoin and red berry versions of their pillar fragrances.
This is soft and round, but still very intense, like it should be with that name.
The raspberry note is very syrupy, but in a good way. It's all so creamy together with the vanilla and benzoin. There is something almost nutty in this, maybe the almond-facet of heliotrope, or it's just a nod to the old LVEB Intense which was creamy and nutty, too.
Compared to the original the patchouli is way toned down, and it's a smoother kind of patch, not as high-pitched and fizzy, almost like dark chocolate. The iris is more waxy and not as oppressively powdery as it can be in LVEB on the wrong person. The whole fragrance is warmer, more comforting and just not as sugary-sparkly.

Most perfumes from this line are rather reluctant likes for me, nice enough but not what I want to wear. This is the first one that I love.

sinemm

It is a weird medicinal syrup on me. I can't figure out which is it but a bitter note makes the fragrance unbearable for me

Eva.s 123

It's my least favorite of the LVEB range. There is very prominent note of almond, although not listed above, that I'm not fond of. I noticed that note also in LVEB l'eau de parfum intense, but there it's not so disturbing as it is perfectly blended together with other notes. With LVEB intensement it's different. Maybe the combination of raspberry and almond bothers me... It turns out too sweet, almost cloying.

Angelicax1

Has anyone else had an allergic reaction to this perfume??? I put it on at bedtime the other night and woke up with an itchy and bumpy chest and neck where I sprayed it on. The rash lasted about 3 days and it itched like crazy. I can’t figure out what caused it because I’ve NEVER had a reaction to perfume before, and I’ve tried A LOT of different perfumes. I was thinking maybe it’s the red pigment that’s in it but I don’t really know. I do love the scent though so it’s kind of sad. I guess I’ll have to be careful and spray this only on the outside of my clothes. Hopefully that will be okay. :(

dglightblue

@sol0013
Cough syrup - yes totally, i thought this also, i liked it however. Thecough syrup edge this has goes through

dglightblue

A more medicinal la vie est belle at first, then becomes a more fruityberry la vie est belle.
Sweet but no not gourmand, a bit powdery, i guessthe notes stopthis being gourmand, and theflorals come thru later on, remains a powdery sweet floral.

The spices etc dont show through for me, its all iall warm but not fruity warm

Enrium

I received an EDP sample of this flanker to the hugely successful La Vie Est Belle, and despite preferring the original, neither are to my taste.

This opens with a very sweet raspberry note, more cough syrup than fruit salad. The sweetness is amped up (as if it needed to be) by synthetic vanilla, and the pink pepper is soft, with a gentle nose-tickling presence.

It becomes more floral as it dries down, with iris and jasmine coming to the fore. The vanilla is strong and long-lasting, unfortunately overwhelming the floral accords. Sillage is strong on me and longevity is longer than average, turning into a skin scent after six hours or so. It has a creamy, slightly powdery drydown, but the vanilla is eternal. Reminiscent of a strong, sweet scented candle.

This fragrance is far too sweet for my liking, very synthetic and quite headache-inducing. Generic mall-girl floral-fruity-gourmand, best for a young audience. Worse than the original, and has nothing to make it stand out from the crowd. 1/5.

Gedamengmeng1

I blind bought it as a tester- 1.7oz. It is a lovely scent but not my style. I still prefer the original La vie. If anyone has the original and willing to trade, please let me know. I'm in sacramento, california.

AndreeaP93

Best way to describe it is "La vie est belle DNA with a fruity twist". If you love the original, you'll love this one as well. I adore the original but I grew tired of it after so many years, so this flanker is perfect for me!

Sol0013

I sprayed this on a card at store. Gave it a sniff in the beginning. It was nice. Floral. Now, 30 mins later, I smell it again and I'm shocked!
"Children's cough syrup"! That's what came to my mind. Not a pleasant smell. I don't like it at all.

twinf4nt4sy

This pulls incredibly sweet on me. I feel like I’ve been covered in raspberry syrup and I just want to shower it all off.

yankeecandle88

Meh it's ok nothing special to me, I've tried all the flankers so far and nothing beats original imo. This version is very raspberry and vanilla heavy. I assume people who don't like the original will really like this one. I do enjoy it but just not enough to want to buy a full size bottle, and it is expensive. This one just doesn't have the wow factor and is very unmemorable. It doesn't last near as long either, and sits close to the skin only after an hour or so and lasts around 6 hours. I easily get 10+ hours with OG La vie est belle and 2 days + on clothes!! Glad I got a sample first.

Scentflower

I have to say, I'm not a fan of La Vie Est Belle. I don't care for patchouli perfumes and the original has alot. Not to mention everyone seems to wear that perfume.

I got a sample of the Intesment and wow I love it! Its strong, with a delicious burst of raspberry. Any patchouli goes away rather quickly, thank goodness! Your left with sweet raspberry, vanilla, benzoin and maybe I pick up on the heliotrope. This perfume is so delicious. Ordered a bottle. This one changed my mind about La Vie Est Belle line.

EDIT: Gosh, I love this perfume!! As I wear it, in the dry down, it's pure bliss. It's sweet raspberry and to me has a almond note. Idk if that's in it, but that's what I smell. Its intoxicating. Back up bottle ordered!

carolineper

Tried it today and for me it smells like something sweet and cigarettes, I don't know yet if I like it, It's nice but doesn't worth to repurchase

ScentedTiger

I never paid much attention to La Vie Est Belle, even though it was without doubt worn by many around me, and has enjoyed huge popularity. But I wasn't personally acquainted with it. If someone nearby had it on, either it wasn't distinctive enough for me to detect, or it just blended into the background chorus of fragrances being worn at work, at the grocery store, etc. I may have tested it at Ulta back in the day. If I did, I can't recall it.

My perfume "testing" is virtual these days. There are several YouTube perfume reviewers whose opinions I have come to rely on for fragrance suggestions. I've liked their recommendations, and I know our tastes on fragrance preferences correlate. If one of their reviewed scents sounds particularly enticing, I order a decant of it. This is how I discovered La Vie Est Belle Intensement. The description of it ticked all the boxes: sweet, raspberries, vanilla, no heavy dark notes or jarring sharp florals lurking. Decant ordered.

This is one of those perfumes that when sprayed, can transport you back to childhood. It elicits a very pure response to something sweet and comforting. Like the delight you experience when you discover a big platter of delicious pastries in the break room, or when you unexpectedly receive a box of See's candies from a friend, or when sniffing a fresh, fragrant rose at peak sweetness. "Yummy! Sweet! Mmmmm." After this initial reverie, the higher brain engages to explore the fragrance.

The first impression of La Vie Est Belle Intensement is a burst of juicy raspberry, a note I really love in fragrance. The sharpness of the pepper and bergamot are present and tickle the nose. These notes are cleverly positioned to prevent you from being lost in a sugar deluge. The fragrance begins to settle into a pleasant raspberry/vanilla cloud. The heliotrope's almond note, the soft orange blossom, and sweet jasmine bloom. These florals harmonize nicely with the other notes in the chorus of the fragrance. There is a minute, fleeting hint of patchouli, which is almost lost in the background (I am not crazy about patchouli, so its departure is fine with me.) If I really concentrate I get a tiny suggestion of sandalwood, but it, the benzoin and the iris are submerged in a luscious vanilla/cotton candy/berry/sweet white floral sea. The pepper/bergamot sharpness, though somewhat dimmed, is still there, keeping the fragrance from becoming cloying.

This scent's formulation of ingredients has an effect similar to the concept behind the recipe combination of strawberries, sugar, balsamic vinegar, and pepper. This mixture sounds initially like it wouldn't work. But the sharpness of the vinegar and pepper serve to boost the flavor and identity of the strawberries, enabling subtle flavor nuances of the berries to shine. This integration of notes saves La Vie Est Belle Intensement from becoming another nondescript blast of sugar. It has obviously been crafted with great care.

After about hour eight, when the dry down is on the way to becoming a skin scent- and this is one of the most potent "skin scents" I've ever experienced in a fragrance- the rose and jasmine rise to become more prominent. This phase is quietly really delightful, and it's difficult to keep your nose away from your wrist.

This is a very "pink" fragrance to me, and not just because the juice is pink. I literally do see pink during the initial seconds of spraying La Vie Est Belle Intensement. (I've been diagnosed as having synesthesia, so I don't find this alarming.) There are a few fragrances that cause this particular materialization of color, but this one really makes this happen. Suddenly I am snuggling in the arms of a big pink teddy bear, whose soft pelt is scented with this delectable concoction. LVEB Intensement conjures the same realm summoned by Dior's Poison Girl EDP, Jean Paul Gaultier's La Belle, and Lancome's La Nuit Tresor Nude. It's a realm of safeness and serenity, where you can forget your worries and just bask in the timeless sweet moment. Many gourmands I try will develop to reveal a darkness or a heaviness that manifests near the end of the fragrance journey, when the teddy bear puts me down and walks away. This scent does not do this. It keeps you wrapped in a sweet furry embrace for the entire ride.

Sillage is moderate after the initial application. The dry down that kicks in at hour six or so lasts a long, long time- its still going strong the next day- and is really lovely. This phase is like a bonus; like a fragrance within a fragrance. La Vie Est Belle Intensement is not inexpensive, but you do get real value for money with its performance. This delicious jewel of a scent stays true to itself, unfolds beautifully, lasts and lasts, and always delivers on its promise to hold you in its comforting sweetness.

V33

I got this as a blind buy as someone pointed out that it smelled like Lancome Rouge Now or Never. I can smell the similarities when I spray it on but it lacks some kind of edge when developing on my skin.

It's still the most acceptable dupe I've smelled in quite some time though (I still have an old bottle to compare to, it's been in the fridge for close to 20 years now!).

It's a lovely smell, but a tad bit too crowd-pleasing for me. I'll update the review once I've had time to use it more.

JD.Berg

Absolutely gorgeous! Just had mine delivered this afternoon. I was running late, so I only sprayed a couple sprays on my arm and left. I could smell it in the street even with my mask on. The opening is raspberry/citrusy, which somehow put me off, but it soon dried down to a creamy vanilla mixed with patchouli and iris. Reminds me a lot of La Nuit a la Folie but a tad milder. Still has the og LVEB DNA but I quite favour this one over the og since it’s not as popular. It’s been about 8 hours now and I can still smell it close to my skin. Very intimate and lovely. For me it feels like butter cookies and vanilla ice cream topped with raspberry drizzle sauce. I can’t stop smelling my arm! Very lovely.

Smonalisa

The opening of this perfume is sweet and round, the raspberry is very prominent, bright and spicy without affecting the texture. A lot smoother than La vie est belle as well as more full bodied . Is it the benzoin or vanilla that contributes to this? The dry down is the best part, I noticed it’s magic when I sprayed some perfume onto paper strips and left them on the bathroom counter. The next day I noticed an alluring powdery sweet spice wafting towards me. There is a masculine note here that gives me a bit of a headache , again is it benzoin? Poison girl EDP also has this. If only there were a more woodsy note to make this a womanly perfume rather than a bright girly one. There is a lot of potential here.

Elle Ayah

This is mostly a raspberry vanilla scent, following the trend of sour fruity perfumes after the massive success of Delina. It's reminiscent of Modern Muse Le Rouge by Estée Lauder, but smoother and creamier. I wouldn't know it's a LVEB flanker. Moderate strength and longevity.

The sweetness here is nowhere close to LVEB original. But the raspberry fruity accord is rather pedestrian. After a few days of wearing, I can't help but think about The Body Shop shower gels or Breyers raspberry ice cream.

Siv7Stars

Whatever else this is, it's the smell of freedom to me. I had been eyeing it n spraying myself with it whenever I walked past it in John Lewis. Then the China Syndrome struck. I walked round my town centre on the last day before screwdown, saying goodbye to everything. I knew it would not just be 3 weeks n that it would be the rest of our days, that they would never let us back from this whatever. Town was v quiet. The shop was virtually empty. There was 10% off at the Lancome counter plus I had a voucher so I decided to get it, literally as a momento, my last purchase from the times of freedom n unfettered access to travel, people, the world. The next day everything closed. My favourite pub never opened again, even in the odd break between screwdowns. My favourite cafe closed n shops shuttered one by one. The town was a ghost town even when it opened again, briefly. I won't use the bottle I bought, I shall keep it as my souvenir from a bygone age, a requiem to liberty.
Heil Covidania. Long live techno totalitarianism.
By the way the actual scent is sweet musky vanilla raspberry, much quieter than the original, not really more intense with less sillage.

So

I used it once over a body oil that smelled like citrus and it reminded me instantly of Obsession Night.
I also get a subtle note of coffee that I feel it could add to this fragrance.

Sreza7

Tart raspberry opening, with vanilla and white flowers. I definitely get a nuance of jasmine or orange blossom. The iris is nice. It’s sweet and fruity with lots of vanilla and woodyness. This projects maybe 30 mins off the skin then after that it’s a skin scent. It sits very close to the skin. Longevity i would give it 5 hours. I don’t think this smells like LNT a la folie, that one has a distinct pencil shaving and thick vanilla buttercream smell. Intensement is softer and fruiter and slightly powdery. If this had a lot more iris or maybe even some cherry, it would be amazing! Anyone know of a fragrance that is like this just with more iris or violet to give it that powdery makeup smell?

Edit: I have come to the conclusion that this is not for me. It’s a very basic fruity vanilla scent. I cannot stand the heliotrope.

anngelica

Sweet, alluring, with the noble Lancôme DNA, long-lasting. The beauty of heliotrope is quite distinct... However, I feel some chemical note, and the perfume creation lacks a certain something, being, to my nose, yet another representative of the youngish vanilla-fruity family - rather girly than feminine.

igalmusic

Beautiful, very feminine perfume. Definitely the best to use in spring and summer. Super sexy as well. Great projection and lasting power. Highly recommended one.

scentnut

Syrupy sweet synthetic raspberry bomb! This was just too much for me. Nauseatingly sweet. I love a strong fragrance but the sample I sprayed was so tiny yet this stuff grew and GREW! I had to crack the window in the car to air it out. It was under my sleeve yet it still projected like a beast. I had to throw my shirt in the wash because it was filling the room from the laundry! So the quality is outstanding as always with Lancôme but whew...akin to eating a whole tub of cake icing when you just want a taste.

Lexiilou91

I didn’t like this one, I absolutely love the original and still wear it to this day. This isn't sweet at all! I smell mostly florals. I was watching a video where somebody stated this was sweeter than the original LVEB but it is not idk it could be different for everyone. I’ll stick to the original one since the praline is so prominent in the OG. Praline is my fav!

marmalady

You know those plug in air fresheners? This is exactly that. I truly don't mean to offend anyone who likes this but this smells very, very artificial. It smells like something in the air freshener aisle labeled "berry fields" and it's just all faux sweet berry praline scent. I was hoping the raspberry note would lighten, or freshen this, but it just adds another layer of syrupy artificial sweetness. This line is officially not for me.

MademoiselleMaya

It is a cute one. It would require more tests for me in a warmer weather, but during the wintertime it greets you with a sweet raspberry note, to then jump to the signature iris that gives the raspberry an interesting salty, fleshy (skin-like) edge. I can instantly feel the base notes of iris-sandalwood, clean patchouli with the vanilla-raspberry top.
I feel the need to compare it to Hot Couture or Diamond scents to see how it presents itself, but the concept seems similar. It is not big and with the pillar LVEB it has only the iris in common.

Sonyakaroliinaq

Okey so i got this as a Christmas present. My mom thought she bought me one of my all time favorite perfume, which is La vie est belle intense. I got this.
Well obviously this is not the same perfume at all, but i like it.
At first when i spray this, i don't know what im smelling, but it smells awful to be honest...maybe it's the pepper note BUT, when it has been 10 minutes on my skin it starts to transfer. Now i can smell the sweet raspberry mixed with that powdery vanilla. The dry down is actually very soft, which is a shame. There's only soft & powdery vanilla left after 20 minutes! I'm glad that i didn't put my own money on this fragrance, nice but nothing special🤷🏻♀️

Edit: I gave it to my mom, didn't like this enough to keep it

zina saleh

I was very surprised with this one , very different from all of la vie est belle for me this is the best version very sexy juicy and unique , last about 6 hours on my skin ! i got the big bottle and it looks amazing ! will be ordering a smaller bottle for traveling , love love love

scentedcyndi

Pretty scent, but it's not a favorite for me. I have the 1.7 oz bottle, and I enjoy wearing it. But, I don't think I'd buy it again. Nice for winter, bottle looks pretty on my dressing table.

kopmk001

Smells like cooking vanilla to me, the kind you add when baking

Tsiolkovski

This does not work with my body chemistry at all. But I don’t think it is a bad perfume per se.

Initially I get vanilla, heliotrope, pink pepper and raspberry, then within a few minutes the benzoin and sandalwood get in. Compared to the other flankers in the series it is a bit drier, heavier and more powdery.

The problem for me is that I get a weird tone of shellfish. It is funny how much ones body chemistry affects the smell XD. Always try before you buy.

flowerbomb81

I got a small sample of this recently and wasn't expecting much after spraying on myself after it just launched at the beginning of the year and not being impressed. Well, this sample had me sniffing my arm all day. I couldn't get enough. It has replaced Flowerbomb as my signature scent now. It doesn't smell like the original, which is good as that was too heady for me. I love how soft, fruity, vanilla, and powdery it is. It's a soft powdery smell that just adds softness to the raspberry and patchouli to my nose. I have just bought myself the full 100ml bottle! Love, love, love!!!

MaxieF

Very powdery. Very girly. Slightly sweet. Different from the original. Girl next door scent or a bride/formal event. You can get vanilla in the dry down. Raspberry fades after a half hour. Pretty powdery but not in a baby powder way. More like make up powder. It's blended beautifully and feels mature but also girly. It's really lovely if you like powerdy make up type scents. The raspberry isn't tart. Its very smooth. I really love this.

natfran98

This website does make me laugh sometimes. It seems everytime I type in a perfume in the 'reminds me of' section it turns out it's already been voted for and downvoted off the table LOL! Sometimes I think people forget that 'reminds me of' does NOT mean 'smells identical to'! I smelt La Vie Est Belle Intense on one of my colleagues and it instantly reminded me of In Love With You. Again... not identical! Just has some similarities! This scent followed my colleague around all day. I must have looked like a stalker walking behind her all day to bask in the trail this scent left! It's a vanilla raspberry bomb. Super super sweet, quite heavy to begin with but I think the florals lift it and create a light fresh overtone. I prefer it to the original La Vie Est Belle as I find that one to be too powdery sweet. This one is more rounded and sophisticated in my opinion. Would I buy a bottle for myself? Probably not. But it's definitely nice. My colleague did have to respray during the day so I don't think the longevity is super long.

bubblessteele2017

This was a fantastic buy for me I LOVEEEE this perfume ... raspberry gourmand ... I see a lot of reviews complaining about longevity but I didn’t really see much of an issue with it ... lasts 6-7 hours on my skin no problem ... silage and projection isn’t bad either not the best certainly not the worst though ... this scent is beautiful and sticks to clothes amazingly anytime I put my coat on this past couple days it’s like a warm vanilla hug and i love it

sushivoodoo

I had to play with this one for a while. I bought the 3.4oz it was a good thing I did because on me over spraying is mandatory.(premakeup- 6 sprays with one out the door clothing shot) I have to refresh at lunch(2) and once more during a shift. Although it is pleasant fragrance I am bummed it produces almost no sillage and is mainly a skin scent that vanishes after the 4th hour even when hydrated but I am going to layer and definitely try a vanilla lotion and see how that performs. This is a good one to have on rotation and I am mainly an Oriental person and appreciate something deep and dark but I love sweet as well and adore a creamy vanilla so this will stay until I discover the quintessential long lasting whipped vanilla I adore.

amarayoga

Out of this line, I like this one the best, but I just don't love it. And it doesn't last long at all.

ma2780

Okay I'm rewriting a review on this after spending more time with it. This is very different from the original. That said, I am surprised this that isn't super fruity to me! In the opening I get a syrupy raspberry blast, but that's pretty much the only "red" note I get. After that, this is a very vanillic scent with a ton of smooth heliotrope and some powdery iris. Right away, this reminded me a lot of This Is Her by Zadig and Voltaire-- I think the heliotrope makes it smell slightly cashmeran and of course the vanilla makes it extremely rich and creamy. On my skin, this fragrance doesn't really match the marketing-- I think of this as a fall/winter gourmand, rather than a fruity spring scent. That said, it's absolutely beautiful and I'm not at all surprised by anyone saying it's their favorite from the line. It's deeper and with more prominent vanilla than the original. I will say, I was wary of this because of the powdery accord and the heliotrope, which I usually can't get on with. But here, it's very tame and suuuuper smooth, beautifully blended to where this leans more cake than bouquet. Cuddly, cozy, feminine, luxe, yet wearable.

Longevity is 6-7 on skin and projection is moderate to strong. Loving this for the fall!

Aurabella

This is gorgeous, sadly it just doesn’t last on my skin it’s gone within 2 hours, it doesn’t project much and turns into a skin scent very quickly, such a shame because it is a beautiful scent, very pretty. It reminds me of Oscar de la Renta Bella Rosa, unfortunately I had the same issues with that one also.

kikiena01

I am actually very happy I decided to blind buy this. It is basically a more sophisticated twin of Juliette Has A Gun Mmmm. Extremely sweet (but deep) powdered vanilla pudding drizzled with raspberry syrup. Delicious. On my skin there is no really obvious resemblance to the original LVEB, to me they smell like two different perfumes.

GREETINGS FROM THE CZECH REPUBLIC! :-)

FrkFors

Yesterday I tried this on one arm and the original edp on the other. They do have similarities, but the raspberry is quite prominent in this new one. It's a stronger and more tart sweetness and it has a different kind of impression.
While I did like this, it ironically ended up fading completely away quite fast, it lasted about 2 hours, tops. The original on the other hand, I still have traces of still after 19 hours! So I know which one I would choose if I were to get one of these.

fyetan

Completely different from original LVEB. I get straight up Starbucks birthday cake cake pop (vanilla cake with a layer of white chocolate), with candy raspberry jam served on the side. The drydown smells like sweet MUG rootbeer added to all of the above.

Yummy gourmand, doesn't smell too complicated, but also not screechy or childish. In the same family as Mon Guerlain.

Next day on clothes: I can smell the something that is like white chocolate/cupcake/orris root, which likens it to the very delicious original formulation of Britney Spears Fantasy.

Rozalina

I’m definitely picking up the iris, heliotrope and vanilla. Not sure why this version of LVEB is called Intensement when it’s not all that similar to the original and also much more powdery. It kind of smells like an upscale vanilla cakepop, with raspberry ever so lightly in the background. Quite a lovely, comforting and inoffensive fragrance for the gourmand lover who wants something that’s still sweet but in a more elegant formulation. Not convinced of the longevity, you might have to overspray this one depending on your skin’s chemistry.

Charess

Kittykatkin, you had me at "the love child of Tresor la Folie and the original Mon Guerlain". Those are my 2 favorite fragrances and I would, hypothetically speaking, kill someone for such a perfume. Now I hopefully have found it. It will be delivered today and I'll come back this week with a review.

UPDATE
I'm in love!! This is indeed in the same vibe as Tresor La Folie & Mon Guerlain. I also get some sweetened almond + tonka, as in Poison Girl. I don't think this smells like LVEB. To me it's a completely different fragrance, except that it's also sweet with a lot of vanilla. Intensement is more creamy and powdery. More balanced.
I mostly get creamy vanilla, sweet raspberry and powdery heliotrope + iris, with a touch of benzoin. I also get a lot of tonka, but that's not listed in the notes. Pink pepper adds some freshness.
Goshhh this is really beautiful! Signature worthy! I like it much more than the original. I just can't get enough of it! Keep smelling my wrists :)
Sillage is moderate to heavy, longevity is 6-8 hours.

Imalthia

I don't like the original La Vie Est Belle so I was kinda hesitant about this. But as many have already said, this really smells nothing like the original. To me, this is a powdery nutty fruit scent. I swear I can smell almond in this even though it isn't listed in the notes!

The name is kind of misleading. I mean, this scent is strong and projects well, but in no way is this more intense than the original LVEB. To me this is a fall/winter scent, but I can see people who have LVEB as a signature (or people who prefer stronger scents in general) wearing this in the summer, as it is a tad more lightweight and more fruity than the original.

Longevity is great (8-10 hours).

This fragrance is definitely worth checking out if you're into sweet scents, even if you're not a fan of the og LVEB!

There is no trace of roses in the pyramid, but I recognize them in here, I saw them as a child.
Roses having an ancient flavor, in nature the buds are covered with moss.
I remember that by cutting off the withered flower with my fingers, they stuck even though they smelled like a sticky rose, so yummy yet difficult to wash off at once.
In my experience, LVEB_Intensément is a not too flowery elixir, well balanced in its being sweet, not artificial nor forced. Superb.
I'm amazed.
Along the roses, this party takes place in the garden. Someone eats some fruit skewers and vanilla muffins far from me, delicate sweets are elegantly protected by tea towels.
No element prevails over others, wonder of my skin that I thank today.
In this bubble of wonders I get lost, kidnapped.
And I have no words other than unexpectedly nostalgic.

Rozan

A nice, creamy, feminine perfume. Completely different than the classic LVEB. I can smell vanilla, slightly raspberry, heliotrope and iris. In the background a subtle note of benzoin. Less sweet than the classic, no patchouli. The perfume is smooth, powdery, balsamic and pleasant.

mevans

I really like this one. I don't see much similarity to the original, which I have and enjoy. This seems smoother, it shares the sweetness, but is richer and creamier. Im liking this tester and I think I might have to buy a full bottle. The raspberry-vanilla accord is just delicious and the florals are blended in so well. This is a good one!

angela_rae_palma

My FAVORITE of the La Vie Est Belle collection.

To be honest, I am not a fan of the original LVEB because of the heavy, overwhelmingly sweet, patchouli fragrance. While the name of this flanker is Intensement, I feel like I enjoy it more because it is LESS intense than the original. It has a freshness from the raspberry and bergamot in the opening joined with the floral, vanilla, and spicy pink pepper notes. The sillage and longevity are not as strong as the original, but I quite prefer that. I really recommend this if the original LVEB is too much for you, and if you enjoy sweet, peppery, fruity yuminess!

Jana711xx

I am picking up a strong coconut note, both on the opening and on the dry down which is strange as coconut is not listed. It’s ok but nothing special bit too heavy for summer days and it not really a winter perfume either so I don’t know when I would wear it so I will be sticking with the OG

Lucille29

Very pretty perfume. Not very reminiscent of the original LVEB to me except a definite powdery sweetness. This is similar to lipstick on by Maison Margiela IMO. Except this one is less waxy and sweeter.

Painter

I have and love LVEB and most of its flankers, I feel I will cherish them for many years to come, however Intensement has let me down. It has a very intense cough syrupy opening with a juvenile feeling, and that totally ruins it for me. The top notes are too sickening for me to wait and appreciate the dry down. I really don’t get what is trying to be achieved here, but I see some really enjoy this. For me the original LVEB, eclat, intense, edt’s are the way to go.

Jasmindee

Gifted this to my mother as LVEB is her signature perfume, and she wanted to try something new...

In my opinion, it is nothing like the original LVEB.

Opening spray for me was pure iris and heliotrope. Very floral, interesting and almost a little masculine... Something smokey and sensual started to mingle, maybe the patchouli? It made me smell very earthy. Then, the raspberry comes out to play. As it mixes with the other notes, it reminded me a little of Hot Couture by Givenchy, which is a very grown-up, sophisticated, slightly dirty raspberry perfume.

The dry down is a soft powdery vanilla. It's very pretty and pleasant, but nothing ground-breaking.

Once again, my own chemistry betrays me. LVEB smells hideous on me, but like a dream on my mother, honestly, she smells like a parisian bakery when she wears it. Intensement is the same, on me, it's just... I don't know, it's just okay... I've smelt this 100 times before... But on my mum, wow... It's so feminine, so soft and sweet. Nothing earthy or dirty about it, just dreamy vanilla and raspberry with traces of light flowers.

She likes it a lot, but not as much as the original and when I asked her, she told me she wouldn't ask for this flanker again. I like it as well, just not enough to buy myself a bottle.

Edit: I will say that this is a sillage monster. I sprayed last night, and nearly 12 hours later I can still smell it on my wrists.

crystalistheone

I would like to start off by saying I have the original La Vie Est Belle and I have several of the other flankers. On initial spray this perfume smells very similar to the original girl of now by Elie Saab in my opinion, but after the dry down I get a sweet, nutty, patchouli vibe that has a similar DNA of La Vie EST Belle and it’s flankers.

Overall 7/10
Bottle design 8/10
Projection 6/10
Longevity 5/10
Scent 7/10

So delicious! I have to admit that I've never been a fan of the original, not because I dislike the scent but because it's very loud and overpowering. So I've mostly ignored the whole La vie est belle line until last week when I noticed the bottle with the red juice and bow. It looked too cute to not try and so I did.
The opening is sweet and fruity, but not tarty fruit, more dense and sweeter than that. It stays like that for a while, probably for an hour on my skin and then the middle and base notes take over most of the fruitiness, but you're still left with some of it, probably the raspberry, just to keep it interesting. The original was rather linear on me but this one surprised me because of how complex it is. It's very well done. Once the raspberry and pink pepper leave the center stage in comes this beautiful trio of vanilla, benzoin and patchouli. I wouldn't call it a true gourmand by any means, but it does have very "gourmandy aspects" if that makes any sense. The vanilla is heavenly and along with the benzoin it creates this soft, creamy and sensual aroma, with the patchouli giving them some depth and "heaviness" which keeps it from becoming too sweet and sugary. I am for sure buying a bottle next time I go to the department store.
I also have a feeling this is the kind of scent that men will love on women - my man hasn't smelled this on me yet but no doubt, he'll love it. This gives me big time man eater vibes - if that's something people are interested in!

Nothing special, I have a few from this line.
Sweet, fresh/warm, something sharp and nose irritating.
As it wears a powderyness comesthrough which is nice.bots sweet, powdery, lessloud thanit's original, there might be a white fruit of some sort??

karen.fiallos

Exquisite! First of all what a nice bottle, the liquid is almost red (my favorite color) a tint of passion and a cute red bow. The same as almost all the LVB flankers. I am enchanted, I bought this right after smelling a tiny sample on my wrist... the opening is very delicate and all about freshness and fruity, an explosion of bergamot and raspberry wit ha tint that reminds me of the original, perhaps the iris and the patchouli are fighting to move across, I am in love. I can't wait until this settles, quite soon, maybe 5 minutes later the middle notes begin to appear, the heliotrope is a winner here, it gives the fragrance a very mysterious twist, you can’t tell quite right what it is you are smelling, but it is there and it is sensual and delightful, the raspberry stays on the race making a sweet fruity-floral bouquet...quite sweeter and softer than the original, reminding me of the same type of silage you get also with LVB EDP Intense. 15 minutes later, a different fragrance occurs, with the same soft/sweet side but the benzoin and the sandalwood make an entrance and they seem to be here to stay, turning this to me a bit into an oriental-floral, to me the pink pepper has just emerged, I couldn’t quite get it in the beginning but perhaps when I use it more often and my nose gets used to it I will be able to distinguished all different notes, to me the last one appearing in the mix is the vanilla, that is okay as all my perfumes have it and the only thing I think adds to it its making it a bit sweeter and easier to smell… Wow! this is quite addictive! you want to keep smelling and getting drunk in it. I think Lancôme nailed this one and even created maybe one better than the original, hoping it is here to stay with the other flankers. On another note: I am know around 30 minutes later, I can tell the fragrance has gotten quite strong, in the beginning I did an extra spray or two since I had a bit of a difficulty to get the intensity, so be careful not to spray too much of it or you are going to get everyone around you drowned in it! I am having trouble with the intensity right now… this is the same that happens with L’eclat. This is good to know for the next time. Anyway 2 thumbs up for this delicious liquid! Totally worth it to have and if you are already a fan of LVB line a MUST have.

I figured out what this (glorious) scent this reminds me of!!

Do you all remember Lancome Rouge Now or Never? This was a short lived fragrance back in the 90's... I gave it away many years ago, but the fragrance stuck with me.

I received my Intensement last week, wore it everyday and decided that I liked it. Not quite a "love" yet...
BUT today, I wore it out in the heat and it smells EXACTLY like Rouge. I am thrilled to no avail! Now, I LOVE it.

If you knew or liked Rouge, then this version of LVB will become a favorite! :)

Happy sniffing everyone and stay well.

If pink, pretty and all things girly had a scent it would be this fragrance! This perfume is just oh so pretty and darling, to look at and to smell! The opening is so sparkly, bright and joyful, keeping the DNA of the original but giving it a brighter and fruity raspberry opening. The sweetness of this fragrance is creamy here; to me it reminds me of the smell of vanilla cupcakes with raspberry jam on the inside. Such a delicious smelling fragrance. A major downside however is the longevity and sillage as it does lack in that aspect but nonetheless I really love it and it is one to try and really enjoy for yourself if you already love the original La Vie Est Belle.

Blushpinkpeonies

I tested this at Macy’s and it’s very pretty! It does not remind me of the original at all (which I own and like). This is far softer, more delicate, fruitier, more powdery. I don’t detect any harsh patchouli. It’s soft, pleasant, and inoffensive. Good for a night out or a work environment. I like it, but maybe not enough to buy a full bottle (yet). Still, it’s quite well done and nice Lancôme quality as it has excellent longevity!

WildDove

I received samples from Italy and am thoroughly enjoying La Vie est Belle Intensement. Gorgeous, delicious. Syrupy sweet topnotes, lots of vanilla, jasmine in the middle, and the patchouli is toned way down but emerges stronger in the drydown. Beautiful notes and balance here, with a feeling of quality. I love the way it lays on the skin, very hard to describe. Full bottle and signature-worthy. Reminds me of by Kilian's Love (Don't Be Shy).

nienke95

I received a sample of this and tested it today. It smells good, but not super original. I think few people would find this offensive. It smells almost identical to Sweet Flowers by Montale, which I already own so I won't buy a full size bottle.

Decadence85

Just received my bottle from Spain, I live in Australia, and to me on my first spray, it is a mix of l'Absolu and LVEB Intense. It is nice, I am only just starting with it, but it feels like a softer version of those two. Definitely glad I have it, but I'm glad I have a couple of bottles of the original intense, as I love that one so much.

Toromusic2020

This was my first ever blind buy, and I’m very happy with it. So modern and feminine. The opening isn’t like the original at all. It’s soft and powdery. all the notes are very well blended and I could only single out a gentle raspberry note and maybe citrus. Though It seams more floral then fruity on me. Not sweet at first .( It Isn’t really intense, and the scent makes me think of light purple rather then red..)
I agree with someone here who said it smells clean and almost soapy. Then It changes quit a lot and is far from being generic. The dry down is sweet and indeed reminds more of the original LVEB. But way less patchouly. The sandalwood gives it a different twist.
It’s beautiful, sparkly and uplifting. To me it smells original and new, and has this “special vibe” . It would suits spring and summer the most. But I can see myself using it all year round. Very long lasting on me, I sprayed it in the evening after shower and when I woke up it was very much still there.

Westender01

I actually really like this. This perfume is all about the raspberry, vanilla, and powdery iris. The patchouli in the original LVEB is turned WAY down, and it's also not as cloyingly sweet as the original. It is still a sweet perfume, but nowhere near as sweet as the original. As with all of the LVEB line, the projection and longevity are very good. Nothing groundbreaking or original, but that's not really what you expect from Lancome. Overall this is a pretty, wearable, and mainstream-smelling perfume that I think many people would enjoy.

Update:
After living with my sample for a week I have decided to buy a full bottle. This little perfume has really grown on me. I also think it is perfect for this time of year (spring going into summer where I live).

Miruna

Compared to the original LVEB, this has a more toned down patchouli, making place for fresher(raspberry) and powdery(iris) notes. Still sweet, still long lasting, still gorgeous!
It is the least similar to the original from the line, so definitely something new in the LVEB family.
I think it is worth trying if you're into sweet scents.

NorthwestGrown

La Vie Est Belle Intensément smells soooooooo so so good from my perspective [32 year old male]. I purchased a decant to see if it would make a worthy gift for someone special and i immediately hopped online and ordered a full bottle. It smells great close up and even better when you get a waft of the fragrance in the air. Well done with this one. Not harsh, not cloying, not overbearing. It is however intense so max two sprays if indoors.

craftymaya

Well, it's a nice flanker and it certainly has the DNA from the original LVEB. I find the dry down to be very close to la Vie est belle Intense (iris). I agree that the raspberry balances it well, avoiding from being as cloying as the original LVEB. It is still sweet and it is powdery but I do like the subtle fruitiness in this. Beautifully done. Nice flanker, I am happy to have it in my collection...but will not repurchase. Too similar to the rest of the line.
