➡️ “FATTAN” by Rasasi

Concentration: Eau de Parfum
Trend: Masculine
Seasons: Spring/Autumn
Occasions: Appointments, Work, informal events
Low cost

Another famous brand of Arab origin is @rasasigcc, undisputed author of excellent products distributed everywhere and at a very affordable price for the European market.
In this specific case, we are faced with a typically spring fragrance, among the so-called "green" ones, with that strong hint of vetiver and citrus fruits, typical for example of the Terre d'Hermès line, from which without a shadow of a doubt it takes a It is undisputed and promoted inspiration.
Apart from a fairly original bottle but of poor overall quality, the rest is in fact on par with other more well-known and very often not inexpensive fragrances.
A fantastic duration, and a more than decent projection, excellently enhance what is an exceptional smell, suitable for medium-high temperatures, both during the day and in the evening.
Unfortunately only available in a 50 ml format, and naturally only online and not in the usual commercial chains, it would have to be purchased for just a value that far exceeds the ridiculous amount for which it is sold.
Take 3 or 4 bottles at a time, without scruples. Trust me.

Recently bought this perfume based on the positivity of majority of its reviews and on the citrusy woody characteristic, however I found myself NOT liking it.
In my opinion, I got no citruses, I got only a strong bitter mossy scent (maybe a bit woody after a while), not at all for hot or mild weather but maybe to try in misty or cold weather...

Githo.xy

What a fragrance. Very much earthy masculine scent. I have to give credit to Rasasi house in terms of performance they never disappoint. Last week I used Fattan as my scent of the day for work and my colleague who's perfumes enthusiast came out of his office and literally said " I smell something nice in the air and I know it's you who came in". That's how strong this stuff is.

Can we all please leave TDH alone and not keep comparing it with anything. TDH is unique and so is Fattan.
This perfume is citrusy + vetiver with smoky woody dry down. It may or may not resemble with other perfume but fattan is ultimately totally different. The grassy green Color perfume is a freshness bomb. This may smell strong synthetic to some in the beginning but fattan gets smoother with time..

wonderful juice !! I am going to buy another bottle

Seductioninblack

Was on the fence whether I should pull the trigger on this one or not, based on the reviews here. I'm a TDH enjoyer so I was looking for a cheaper alternative. The fragrance has come in and it's definitely worth buying if you like TDH. This to my nose is slightly more linear, flatter, thinner than TDH, and with a pine-type note in the mix but the fragrance is worth every penny

Buy it!

Apineros

Love it. Clean, crisp.

officezero

The first thing you note is a mixture of rotten lemons and wood. It's strong really strong at first and you need to settle it down. Eventually the spicy and mossy themes come out. It's good but use with caution. The projection is good. I would rate it 3.5/5.

Heralde benim aldığım şişe problemliydi. Terra d'hermes ile alakası yoktu. 1987 yılından kalma güneş yemiş berber kokusu.

Smells almost exactly like terre de hermes!

SweetPeaPea

I get bug spray accord. Letting it mature in the cupboard to try again at a later date.

Ah, this is a nice one and absurdly cheap (12 EUR).
Yes, there are many similarities with TdH EDT, I'm testing them both at the moment on my hands.
TdH starts a more complex, a bit dirtier and mellows faster. Fattan is brighter, more "green" to my nose (maybe the color bugs my) and fresher. And projects longer.
Deserves a try!

L1ghtlyS4lted

On my skin opens with a very sparkly bright pine smell. Looking at the notes it's definitely the grapefruit giving it that shine in the beginning. Gradually goes from that to a more dark natural pine with the woods coming through. Lasts a whole workday on my skin (although only a skin scent by hour 6-7). Big fan, IMO it's a great pick for chilly, sunny spring days. Kinda works on cloudy and rainy days but I feel like it dulls the opening a bit and isnt as fun to wear. Gets a love from me

Roman86

This is nice and definitely has a resemblance to Terre d'Hermes but has its own vibe going on. It almost smells like a shampoo or body wash version of Terre d'Hermes. It makes me feel clean and ready to go. It's very nice and I definitely recommend it for the price.

I never tried this fragrance, but ordered a bottle and received it just about a week ago.

I have to say that I didn't have my hopes set too high, because most "new" (that means post-1990 in my book) really don't do a thing for me.

Anyhow, the box containing my new Rasasi Fattan arrived on last Thursday.

The first thing I noticed was that with what I received, the box wasn't all that "cheap" looking, as has been stated in a few of Fattan's online reviews.
To me, it looks like the same type of package that any decent quality French house would ship their products in.

Upon opening the box, I took a good look at the bottle presentation... Not too shabby, if you ask me.
On the unit that I received, the clear, triangular cap isn't loose when snapped down... It fits rather tightly and only seems to fit in one certain orientation.
The bottle feels good in the hand.

My arthritic fingers managed to pull the cap off and I sprayed three blasts on my left forearm.

I have to admit that the opening really didn't impress me. I was all set for the "citrus bomb" that I've heard about online... But my honest opinion is that it initially smells like apple Jolly Rancher flavored glass cleaner to me.

Not necessarily a bad thing, I guess... But thankfully it started settling in, drying down and "talking" with the other notes in the composition soon thereafter.
.I guess it took a good twenty minutes to start easing into the secondary iteration of itself... That's where the "glass cleaner" aspect subsided and turned into the Lilly of The Valley note for me.

The middle stage lasted for nearly four hours on my skin.

After around the fifth hour, THAT'S where the magic happens for me.

The wood notes and the faint but beautiful amber note start blossoming and meld with the continuous wafts of the grapefruit (that has really toned down by now) and the what smells to me like a bit of pettigrain, a little neroli and a bit of patchouli...

Anyway, all of these end up settling on a bed of "medium dark" Musk.

I'm now heading into the eighth hour of this particular wearing and although it seems like only a skin scent by now, I keep getting incredible wafts of the fragrance if I move... Which tells me that it's either a really quality fragrance, or I'm just getting mostly senile and partially anosmic in old age ....

All in all, I really like this fragrance and I think it's going to become one in my regular Spring/Summer rotation.

It's incredibly "high class" smelling for it's incredibly budget friendly price...

As far as putting an "age" on it, I'd tend to say that this would suit anyone over the age of about 25 for a daily wear... Especially if worn in the evening, or for special daytime occasions.

I wouldn't be afraid to wear it on the job, depending on how easy you go on the trigger.

And it's equally "suit and tie" as it is "linen trousers and a Hawaiian shirt", if that makes sense.
It's by no means "loud". It's not overly sweet... Instead, it's classic and understated, but makes it's presence known in elegant little wafts here and there.

Hey... If you're looking for a classic "anytime" fragrance to grab whenever your go-to gets depleted or boring, don't hesitate to spring the $20 or $25 for this one... And even if it sits in the back of your fragrance collection a long time, I'd bet that this one could only improve with a little "aging". After that, if you still didn't like it, you wouldn't hesitate to gift it to someone... It's really THAT classy.

Cheers

BigBearHK

I hv TdH EDT & I tried fattan out of curiosity.
They are similar and different at the same time.
Fattan doesn't carry the distinct dirty orange of TdH while more refreshing & last longer, yet both have similar earthy tones.

I bought Fattan after all

BenAtlas

My favorite fragrance is Terre D'Hermes EDT and Rasasi Fattan can not replace it, even though it is cheaper.

Performance: 3 sprays, 90 minutes of an arms length projection. Then reduces drastically.

I would prefer Cuir Vetiver as a clone. It smells a little feminine but it performs consistently. Solid 4 hours of projection within half of an arms length. It is always 1 feet radiation hence it does not change drastically as Fattan. Moreover it has an addictive quality to it. Smells pretty natural. I never say myself "OK I need to get rid of Cuir Vetiver right now" but Rasasi Fattan is enough for me for 3 hours, makes me irritated.

If you like Terre D'Hermes so much like me, don't spend time and money on dupes/clones. Save some money and get the real deal, I think it is worth it. If you have low budget just use it on special days/occasions and you are good to go!

I have read previous comments before testing the sample. And I don't think it is greener version of Terre D'Hermes, no. It just has a super small twist which makes it not more advantageous than its original brother.

Something about it is off, I am having hard time to name it but I assume it is the syntheticness. The lower quality ingredients are noticeable.

djobyrziq14

Amazing! For me it's 1 to 1 with Terre d'hermes!

Opato

There are lots of to-the-point and very precise descriptions of Fattan below here, so I will try to be a bit more fleeting and describe something that was made very clear to me once I tried it.
Having worked as a sommelier many years ago (albeit uncertified) I found that in 80-95% of the cases, you could reach a general agreement with the customers as to the basic characteristics of what any wine smelled and tasted of. Among colleagues, we would find mostly the same, precise words nearly 100% of the time. Perfume however, is really different, at least when you look at sites like this one.
It's personal.
I think it is quite similar to the way you listen to your own voice and it sounds completely different to what you expect from living with a constant perception of what it sounds like every day since you were born. So any given perfume is not quite the same perfume to the next guy as it was to you: One thing is how we differ genetically (some people get harsh and repulsive soapiness from coriander/cilantro for well understood genetic reasons, for example), but the other thing is our very own skin chemistry. Together these factors makes the idea of "objective" reviews of perfume ludicrous. And yet we (mostly) try our best, because we all wish to be understood and to get recognition.

*

With Terre d'Hermès EDT I had my first revelation of how perfume can work idiosyncratically. A few years ago, I was highly recommended it from a person very close to me, someone I have known for ages. We have shared many a wine bottle through the years, and we have passionately shared our experiences. And we have so, so often agreed, I would say around 90% of the times at least, that we both feel we can sincerely agree on many a detail. But not on TdH EDT. Where other describe the rounded, slightly smoky qualities of flint (a note me and my friend have shared at least a dozen times concerning wine bottles), I only got acrid shist, like when you remove a layer of constantly damp moss and break up the shist you found underneath it. Not something everyone has experienced, but I can assure you that apart from being a mineral smell, it has nothing to do with flint. I did not quite understand, and I felt compelled to try, try and try. I thought it was a simple question of acquired taste. But it wasn't and still isn't. After trying to accommodate it for several years, I ended up selling the remaining fifth of my 100ml bottle. In addition to the mineral notes, the vetiver was not vetiver but rather a rubbery vague imitation of it, much like what you get when column still distillation of sugar cane has failed in the very cheapest, worst of French Rhum agricole (I love the good ones). Even the citrus was slightly off-putting, a bit like harsh orange candies from yesteryear's forgotten tin of sweets residing in your cupboard.
Fattan made me forget about all that. After 30 seconds slightly harsh alcohol vapours, it was nearly exactly like Terre d'Hermès without all those off-putting connotations that sort of transformed probably brilliant design ideas into lacklustre performance with the memories from the worst examples of vulgarisation of classic perfumery into synthetic, mass produced shower gels in the late 1980s coming to mind. It made me smile, because it was like I could "understand" TdH for the first time. True, the citric qualities are quite ephemeral in Fattan as several mention, in addition the mentioned flint that is missing. Rather, Fattan is leaning "green" (by coincidence I have spent several hours comparing it to Chanel's Paris Edimbourg and similarities are striking although not quite comparable).

So go ahead and try it if you 1) Want to try and own a bottle ofTdH but you find the price off-putting; 2) you have already tried TdH, but did not quite like it or 3) want to try a vetiver scent that has absolutely no barbershop or Guerlain Vertiver vibes. This also the kind of fragrance that has no seasons and does not know the clock. It could work in every situation, just as long as you are self confident and conscious about what impression you wish to make.

"TERRE" THE RASASI WAY

In the "Urban English" dictionary, "Fattan" stands for an "awesome person". This name fits "Fattan pour Homme" very well, as this perfume is nothing less than an awesome perfume for awesome people!
This is a deep and earthy fragrance. You have to open the nostrils to get the full effect of this magnificent note blending. A quick or a shallow whiff will not do it the correct justice. In my imagination, this is what a man should smell like: fresh, clean, slightly bitter, earthy, slightly spicy, sophisticated, classy, serious, grown-up, mature, and masculine. At least that's the short version of my wife's opinion. Probably Fattan will help me to keep up with her standards.
It's a classical and versatile fragrance but in an extraordinarily good way! In summary, it's a very "gentlemanly" cologne with an overall feeling of an even balance for smartness and sophistication.
The fragrance general scent is very natural, too natural maybe when you expect some synthetic odours. It might be made with synthetic ingredients too, but it really stands out as something pure and clean; actually clean and dirty at the same time.
It opens with citrus notes - grapefruit and bergamot at their best - and some pink pepper. The grapefruit note seems to be of great quality in this perfume and makes its way to a citrusy patchouli later evolution.
With the heart notes, I pick the already mentioned patchouli and a combo of cedar, vetiver and flowers. The transition to the earthy, soil-like and warm heart, is as smooth as a gentle breeze.
The bottom notes suggest a very balsamic amber and benzoin darkened by oak moss. Its dry down is pure pleasure.
Fattan is perfect for all seasons. Due to its opening fresh notes, it's quite adequate for warm days. It handles the colder weather with a dry down balanced by the slightly sweeter, resinous, vetiver and mossy scents.
Think of an almost dirty, bitter, grapefruit rind citrus mixed with woods, fougéres and spices. It's not openly sweet, which is rare for a citrus scent. It lasts a long time and it can be worn in all seasons. My amazement with this fragrance, besides its incredible scent, is to be a citrus cologne proper for Autumn and Winter. Most citrus scents are relegated to warm weather but this one is actually nicer with cooler temperatures.
Its good performance will help you fight a colder early Spring, a windy Fall or a sunny Winter day. In my opinion, Fattan works the best during Fall and Spring, the sun setting and sundown scenarios, late evenings and maybe with a chilly touch of wind.
Even if you consider this perfume as a semi-fresh citrus-based fragrance, you still get great performance with 8 hours+ longevity, 6 feet+ sillage and 2.0 hours of solid projection. Surrounding people will notice you for sure! The woodsy notes and the natural dark and dirty citrus peel note gives you a brilliant background that makes you smell distinguished and feels happy, comfortable and elegant all day and night.
Although I have not been able to unveil any technical pieces of information, Fattam seems to have an EDP concentration as "Eau de Parfum" is written in the simple cardboard box. Most of the words are written in Arabic and, as such, are an enigma to me. It is only natural that you compare this fragrance with "Terre d'Hermès" EDP, as the two perfumes resemble a lot. I discard "Terre d'Hermès" EDT as I miss its famous flint note in "Fattan",
After searching for different sources of information (nothing is mentioned on the Rasasi site) I decided to elect the following notes as the correct ones:

Top notes - Pink Pepper, Grapefruit and Bergamot
Heart notes - Patchouli, Cedar Wood, Lily Of The Valley and Vetiver
Base notes - Benzoin, Oakmoss and Amber

Let's see if the math scoring is kind to Fattan:
___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___
Scent Opening: 9.0 (my judgement)
Scent Dry Down: 9.0 (my judgement)
Longevity: 8.0 (3 good sprays may last 8+ hours)
Sillage: 7,5 (6 feet at its peak with just 3 sprays and a bit more than 2 hours projection)
Uniqueness: 7.0 (its enormous similarity with Terre d'Hermés Parfum is more than obvious, with the sole exception of the price, flask and juice colour; it beats by a fair margin other look-alikes as "Red Vetiver", "Derby Club House Belmont", "Citrus & Wood", "Cuir Vétiver"...)
Wearability: 9.5 (Just avoid the desert and a dense jungle)
Versatility: 9.5 ("all-around" versatile fragrance)
Compliments: 9.0 (This fragrance is almost a compliment magnet)
Quality: 9.0 (Well above average quality, quality ingredients, nice flask, nice sprayer)
Presentation: 7.0 (no faults, simple and acceptable)
Price: 10.0 (50 ml non-tester with the €15 pricetag at a major net dealer; for such an amazing fragrance as this one, 15 Euros it's a bargain)
___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___
Overall rating: 8.56/10.00
- between 7 and 8 =above average;
- between 8 and 9 = recommended;
- bigger than 9 = don't miss it;

My opinion: This hidden gem holds an amazing value in itself. If you are looking for a very alluring, compliments magnet, super versatile, all-weather fragrance and with a fantastic price, I don't remember any as good as this one. It only misses a designer name from Paris or Milan and a Lalique flask. It's quite curious that its lowest rating is the "Uniqueness" feature which may well be unworthily seen as its major sales benefit. DON'T MISS IT!

I can see the comparison with TDH but think like this is a Middle Eastern TDH. Opening is quite alcoholic but once it settles down, it's mind blowing. Citrus is mild but noticable. It's more mossy Vetiver along with Lily of the valley. I get many compliments on this from people who have rich taste in fragrances. In fact more than my average expensive designers. This is not a sauvage or bleu de type of perfume.

JusttheFactsMan

#400 in my "Tour de Fragrance"

Right off the bat I like this way better than TDH/TDH Vetiver. By now anyone reading my reviews knows I love vetiver, moss and patchouli. This is an improvement on TDH Vetiver, huge improvement over TF Grey Vetiver. If you love vetiver, and I do, this is the frag to get. And at $30 versus Terre de Hermes Vetiver Intense at $80 and up, the much less fragrant TF Grey Vetiver at $140, this is absolutely the best smelling vetiver scent at the best price, a safe blind buy and a no brainer like few out there. This is fragrant, legit EDP strength, doesn't get more versatile and office safe than a vetiver frag, while still being a cozy, cuddly and inviting scent. This is on my shelf for the long haul.

DrewDrew

I'm not sure if my bottles have a different formulation (I have 2 and both are the same), but I can't see how anyone could claim this is a Terre d'Hermes clone. Definitely inspired by, but no clone. There does not seem to be anything like citrus—more like a fresh cut grass with heavy cream poured over it; it's a very green fragrance.

With that said, this would be used in the same situations as Terre d'Hermes, and with the more recent formulations being damn near water, I would definitely take this over Terre d'Hermes. This is still a great fragrance on its own, but don't buy this expecting it to be a perfect copy of Terre d'Hermes EDT or parfum.

pejatibia

There's a raw intensity to Rasasi Fattan that captivates from the first spray. Don't be put off by the extremely sharp opening; let the fragrance breathe, and you're in for a treat.

In its initial burst, pink pepper and grapefruit make their presence known, but that's merely the overture to what unfolds into a full-bodied narrative. The fragrance settles to reveal a backdrop of earthy, woody soil, further heightened by a prominent note of vetiver.

Comparisons with Terre d'Hermes are inevitable, but Rasasi Fattan offers a heavier price-to-quality ratio that makes it a clear winner in my book. It also showcases one of the best results of maceration I've experienced, lending an undeniable potency to its constitution.

The projection is moderate but effective; it doesn't overwhelm the space, instead opting for a more intimate aura. Despite its reserved projection, the fragrance offers good longevity, especially noteworthy for a summer-appropriate scent.

When it finally dries down, it morphs into a scene of nature at its best — like walking through a forest in autumn, the earth damp from an afternoon shower, your boots lightly crunching on autumn grass. It's a rare scent that can transport you, and Fattan accomplishes just that.

A word to the wise: don't make a snap judgment based on the initial spray. Let it lay for at least a few months, let it unfold, and you'll find yourself in the midst of a rich, sensory experience that's both comforting and invigorating.

Fattan is an intriguing fragrance that engages the senses. While not without its quirks, it offers a distinct and enjoyable profile, particularly suited for those who appreciate complexity and character in a scent. It sets itself apart with exceptional longevity, a rare find in a fragrance well-suited for warmer months.

For me, it's a scent that can stand as it's own. It smells like an in between of TDH EDT, parfum and vetiver. TDH inspired for sure, but unique in its own right. This has more green notes to it compared to the TDH EDT. But not so green that it's like TDH vetiver.

This lasts pretty long! 10 hours on me on a decent amount of projection.

I really love that you could practically smell so similar to Terre D'Hermes for just a fraction of the cost!

Overall a good buy if you're looking for a more mature, clean scent that has the vetiver note and won't break the bank.

vtdsz

I am going to voice what most reviewers are saying. Rasasi Fattan is an almost
1 to 1 to edt Terre d'Hermès. Unfortunately, I can't compare it to the edp, because I don't have one to compare them side-by-side.
Fattan has this fresh and "in your face" citrus opening, but develops quite quickly into this De-li-ci-ous mix of citrus and spices. I can also get the wonderful hints of vetiver and woods brought up in a matter of minutes.
I really LOVE Rasasi Fattan, as it seems to bring fast-forward the much loved and involving drydown of Terre d'Hermès.
I think that Terre D'Hermès is a bit slower around its development.
I appreciate the triangular tubing shape of the bottle, which gives a good grip, topped with a tenacious transparent cap. The green juice is enticing and very appropriate for the "spirit within".
Having only the 50ml/ 1.7oz size is a let down. 😔 I wish there would be a 100ml/ 3.4oz I could buy. But considering the good price, I can get a second bottle and let it rest quietly in the darkness of my closet.
The longevity and projection are better than those of Terre d'Hermès eau de toilet.
All in all, Rasasi Fattan is a WINNER.
Worth every single penny of its affordable price tag.
It's a 11 out of 10, absolutely amazing!

NiceNiffs

Ok so I took a long time getting round to buying Fattan but now that I have I am very glad that I did. This is OG Terre D'Hermes in all it's glory with an added layer of bright citrus, Grapefruit and balancing Pink Pepper. Fantastic. Oh hell yes! 👏👌

xanthenobe

Yes, have to agree it's a very similar smell to TDH. However, I think what sets this apart is the grapefruit. It comes off much brighter and more uplifting than the heavy damp orange in TDH. It lightens it up and makes it much more wearable in the hot days of Summer. TDH is a great wear in the Spring and especially Autumn. But this one shines in the warmer Sping and Summer months. I get a lot of compliments on this one, if that's your bag. Also, performance is quite good.

jackchemin

Realistically, it’s 85-90% TDH. More refined than original TDH. Very close to TDH edp.

topolcats

Yes, I tried it and I like it. It has a kind of arabic scent which is tantalising. It's really unusual.....but very male macho. I love it.

CosmicWeb

At first I was repulsed by the opening, but the dry-down is so worth it. Definitely one of my favorites for the money and a good scent for work!

Milko43

I tried TDH once at a store, wasn't a fan of it.
Was seeing Fattan reviews on youtube and decided to blind-buy it since it was cheap.

I love it. Enough said.

coachkeith

This is a legit "woody" "citrus" fragrance. I learned from receiving this as a gift (from my wife) that I do not care for fragrances with "woody" as the main accord.
Fortunately I made good use of it by giving it to a friend who really liked it.

If you are looking for something with a strong woody scent 🙂👍

fragrantlyenhanced

i wanna like it but this is the kind of vetiver thats very synthetic to the point of it being unpleasant for me. upclose it its just.. bad honestly. unpleasant to wear for long. the only time i enjoyed it was on somebody else from a distance lol. vetiver is not a note to replicate cheaply tbh unless theres a master perfumer behind it. it requires balance and this doesnt have it. harsh and cloying even with the tiniest spray.

Le_KBey

This is a very special one to me.
It has introduced me to the Vetiver; in the gentlist, artistic & luxurious way i could have ever imagined & asked for.
The splash of the Pink paper symphonically combind with the Vetiver and the hint of a citrusy Note, which add a gorgeous freshness to it.
This whole experience is for a fraction of the price of the other famous Houses.
my advice
just Buy without hesitation...

TripleBee

Man, I'm very disappointed with this fragrance. I bought it due to the hype regarding its performance. Unfortunately, the performance from my bottle is underwhelming. Immediately when you spray this the projection is very, very soft and only lasted for like 45mins. The longevity is also below average. I have another Rasasi fragrance that performs pretty well, so I don't know what's wrong with this one. Now, I'm pretty sure this has to do with the batch I received. In fact, I ordered it once more from the same vendor and it was the same batch code (Jun/21) and it performed the same. So stay away from that batch code because it performs very poorly. I do believe that this fragrance is a great performer, but unfortunately the batch I received is not. I'm a firm believer that there are certain batches that lack performance. This happened to me with Cool Water Parfum. I ordered one and it performed horribly, but then ordered another one and it was a different batch code and that one performed 10x better. Now, as for the scent it was pretty synthetic to he honest. It reminded me of a Jolly Rancher Sour Apple flavor mixed with Tea Tree Oil. It was unique, but a bit off in my opinion. Maybe I got bad batches or something.

kimi08serbia

Tried this one, but believe me, if you can still find it, try out Estiara Hermitage (Sterling parfums) it is way better done dupe of TDH.

atlas85

Man this stuff is terrible. That why it pays to get a sample and not listen to these youtube reviewers. I've learned my lesson.

slmjz

I picked this up because so many boasted about how great a cheapie this was.
I sprayed it on and I was immediately turned off by it.
Smelled extremely cheap, artificial and unrefined.
Tried to wear it a few times but even the dry down didn't help it much.

Those people who said this is a great alternative to TDH Eau Intense Vetiver, what absolute nonsense...

More interesting, sharp vetiver note than in Terre d'Hermes EDT and Parfum, similar to Eau Chivree but that one has a scent that can be confused with sweat, so I think it's better then the entire line of Hermes (haven't smelled eau intense vetiver yet).

Jelen

Great fragrancd inspired by TdH, but not a clone. Grapefriut and lemon instead of orange. Also vetiver not as dirty. Fantastic office scent and great for any ocasion. Not as unique or as grown up as TdH, so be aware of that. But overall great for the price.

eko.mtfkr

Good, close enough to TdH. Good projection and sillage, but it is a bit harsher than TdH. I much prefer TdH so I gave this one away.

Navneet1202

I ordered it today, first sniff was ok ok got some vetiver some citrus, after few hours i got pleasant smell wow such a mood uplifting and unique experience, definitely try this guys and masculine fragrance at this price…i am sniffing again and again it from my elbow
One negative point is sillage is not that good but longevity is ok at this price 5-7 hrs

stoychoexpress

I bought it today, a unique creation! I will test it in the next days!

Cockubangio

Buying this was biggest surprise for me. So good longevity for this price

JSP1984

Starts with a citrus note and vetiver is in the far background .
As the fragrance moves into the next phase, citrus starts to disappear and the vetiver becomes more prominent.
The vetiver is a dry one with a hint of dust like note and some earthiness .
A nice scent keeping in mind the price point .
Good longevity, about 8 hours or so and strong projection for the initial 2-3 hours.
Good deal and a decent fragrance . Not back up worthy though .

ift3k

It doesn't smell cheap at all. The opening is weird but in a good way. Amazing dry-down. It opens with a Citrusy, bitter, and watery like lemon mixed with black salt, and peppery smell. In the dry down, I get Bergamot with vetiver patchouli. The performance is moderate, with very weak projection. I don't get the performance people are talking about even after maceration. I think it's been reformulated. But because of the scent, it's worth keeping.

koyathe3rd

Not a fan of the opening. Very synthetic with a medicinal note that makes my stomach turn a little.

After 30m-1hr it becomes a really smooth, earthy and slightly spicy scent that I quite like. Performance is nothing to write home about but acceptable.

For the price, I'd recommend it, but just be wary that you're unlikely to be a fan of the opening.

Kshir

Got it 3 weeks ago for about EUR15, which is excellent!
Left it for maceration for 7-10 days and now I have had fairly good wears and an image to share of this great piece which I got for the upcoming spring season.
For the price, this is an excellent perfume (not the best value for money as that spot is still taken by another Rasasi - Dareej which is 100ml and cost me the same). As a fragrance, this is strikingly similar to TDH edp and it would be quite difficult to distinguish between them even for a seasoned nose. The opening is synthetic sure but I love the way it develops throughout. The notes are true, also I find the amber and benzoin to be a little more prominent in dry-down which makes it a little sweeter than TDH to my nose, but I reckon this makes it more pleasing and mass appealing; all in all it smells earthy and pleasant and refreshing in an unorthodox manner - love it!
The performance seemed average at first but after maceration I get a solid full work-day longevity with good projection for 2-3 hours. On skin it lasts for 6-7 hours and on clothes I can detect this on myself throughout the entire day with pleasant whiffs time to time. It is not beast mode for sure - I do not detect this on clothes the next day easily but the performance for the price is great!
Presentation is fairly good, box is nothing special and the bottle seems solid; however, the cap is horrible and requires a conscious effort to align and click in place.
Great price - fragrance - performance - versatility, the only nit-picking I could do is the cap and the lack of 100ml option which makes me worry I would burn through the 50ml rather quickly.

L'Eau Jeff

I received this bottle yesterday and wore it to the office today.
This is a brilliant scent….I really enjoy all phases of the arc of this fragrance; from the opening to the dry down to the after 10 hours skin scent.
This was a blind buy, which most of my affordable fragrances are, and I am not disappointed.
Great find!

I initially thought Fattan will be like Daarej and shuhrah from Rasasi. My first impression was not that good. After a few wears I was invested in it and I wore it more. It’s a nice citrus vetiver heavy fragrance. I like wearing it in summer and spring personally. Definitely will buy another bottle of it. 10/10 recommend

Trueblood84

Rasasi fattan is a nice Vetiver forward fragrance with slight touches of citrus in the opening, and ambery nuances in the drydown. It is a powerful scent I'd recommend no more than 5 sprays which should last you all day and possibly even through the night as it's performance is amazing especially at this price point. It has great projection and sillage, as well as superb longevity. I get 5 hours projection and over 12 hrs total longevity. The versatility is also top notch, I could see a mature man wearing this in any setting, wearing anything from casual to formal, and I also see it working in any temperature due to the awesome performance. This stuff definitely does tdh justice and if it were not a clone it'd get a perfect score. That said 9.5 out of 10 .

kaiju

Lovely scent and sometimes I can't wrap my head around the price to performance ratio.

It 70% the same as TDH for me, the opening is very over the top and synthetic, so spray it on 20 mins before you leave your house. After the 20 mins I prefer this over TDH 100%. Fresh, vetiver, woody and ambery but a bit sophisticated while not being over the top, wear it all year round except cold winter days (for indoor settings in winter it's good though).

Scent 8/10
Longevity 9/10
Sillage 7.5/10

P.S. the bottle is a pain in the ass as it's not symmetrical

JasKiew

Fresh Green Juice! So nice that smelling it is like drinking it. It's like 25sgd/18usd but in a nice 50ml bot. It opens with a grassy fresh green wood earthly smell that is soooo addictive and I keep going back to smell it. However it doesn't last so a respray is needed definitely

mostafa385

This is close to TDH, I would say 85% close. I used to have TDH & I like it, however, this will suffice for me even if it’s not 100% clone. It is redundant to have both of them imo & given the price difference I prefer to have Fattan ovet TDH. Quality in TDH is better than Fattan but not 4 times better imo. Performance is very good with 10 hrs longevity & projection is ok.
Will definitely buy another bottle.

Skoven

Great performance for Small money
Starts up very loud - give it 15 min to settle

Dry Down reminds me og Prada Carbon

OneRedRose

Powerful Terre D'Hermes-type scent but without the mineral portion. This is a sharp vetiver blast. Go easy on the trigger (one or two sprays only). Very long lasting and projects very well. Inexpensive, yet solid power. Drydown is where it settles nicely and stays with you all day long. I would suggest spraying a shirt you're going to wear and letting it sit for about 30 minutes before wearing it. Again, inexpensive but powerful. :) Complement getter if you like vetiver.

Paul's fragrances

Dry down is very similar to prada luna rossa carbon IMHO. Very good longevity too. Try it everyone.

vbs221

My take: if you want an affordable fresh vetiver, get Encre Noire Sport instead.

I know, Fattan isn’t super directly comparable to EN Sport. But I compared Fattan side by side with Terre and EN Sport. Fattan is significantly more synthetic and ‘headache inducing’ than the other two.

I got Fattan for $20 for 50ml here in the Middle East. That’s $40 for 100ml. Encre Noire Sport is $34 for 100ml and smells waay better quality. Terre (100ml) here sells for $70-$90. I think Terre is well well worth the 2x and even 2.5x the price compared to Fattan.

I love Rasasi—Daarej, Sotoor Waaw, Ebhar, Hawas, and more. I think La Yuqawam is better than Tom Ford. But Fattan just doesn’t stand against Terre or Encre Noire.

UPDATE:

Three months into owning this, I must say I don’t find it as synthetic as I once did. It’s very pleasant, and very close to TdH. Yes the opening is synthetic, but I take back ‘headache inducing.’ For $21 for a cute 50ml bottle, I think it’s worth it. Yes I still think EN (sport or original) dwarfs this when it comes to quality per dollar, but this is still good and different.

Apple_

Opening is weird, has this almost creamy-grassy smell. Others I've asked have said they liked it but personally I am not a fan. Smells like soapy grass, eventually I get almost annoyed at the smell and hope I go noseblind to it. In most cases I'd say this isn't completely blind buy safe (ex: not some typical blue/crowd pleaser), but given its price point its not the biggest risk. Polarizing scent, not "bad" just not my thing.

vbs221

As others have said, the opening can be a bit synthetic, which is pretty unusual for Rasasi—have always found them to smell smooth throughout.

Very up close, it can remain synthetic still, but in the air, it smells good and pretty close to Terre d’Hermes. I doubt many can tell them apart in the air. But up close, definitely. Terre has orange and is earthy, while this one smells like lime to me and lacks the earthiness (perhaps due to lack of black pepper?). Fattan also has oakmoss, which I’m frankly not a huge fan of here. Makes the scent more green as opposed to earthy.

This is a better performer than Terre, to the extent you should mind the trigger, actually. I still prefer Terre, but for the $20 I pay for this here in the middle east, it’s worth it

Cooling321

Good in the air, a great illusion. Horrid up close but overall I do love this, has a nice niche woody earthy citrus smell, worth every penny up to £50.

Will update on longevity and sillage. *strong and long lasting. This eventually dried down to a nice soapy fresh versatile scent that reminds me of Prada Luna rossa carbon, yet carbon makes me feel sick for some reason, like it’s too metallic and too pervasive, this is just right and it’s resorted my faith in this fragrance style. People aren’t wrong about the opening here it’s rank, well part of it, it is also has a dead nice woody niche smell other than a horrible bitter citrus. Overall great value for money. Not the earth I expected but nice clean soap.

*this settled a bit and is now even smoother throughout. A great purchase!

krassy.nikolov

A very good one.

You can get a headache in the opening which some could find very harsh and synthetic, but overall is quite good.

The grapefruit is a bit too much for me, and bergamot is lovely combined with the pepper which are very obvious in the beginning. Maybe its best part is after an hour on my skin. Masculine, fresh, green. Smells as it looks.

Review on my skin:

- Projection - 30/40min
- Longevity - 5/7hr
- Scent - 7 out of 10

Don't blind buy it, it is not for everyone!

hcrv

This is a great fragrance. It's long lasting, has a fresh greenish smell that reminds me of the outdoors, and the scent lasts around 8 hours. Plus, it's very affordable and can be worn in a variety of situations.

Sadly, some reviewers on Fragrantica are wanna be romance authors practicing on their craft. See the recent and incredibly ridiculous review, shown below, regarding Fattan.
.
"If you layer this with Lacoste Blanc 12.12 you will open up a portal to another dimension that few have ever experienced. Citrus and pepper on top of ambery woods. It's really nice and ultra versatile. Great in warm weather!
The cedar base is toned down by the amber, while the citrus top is nicely balanced by the pink pepper. Very pleasing and decent projection and lasting power at 6 hrs on a hot day. Rasasi has not let me down and I definitely recommend this.

Comparisons? Sure, TdH is much more orangey, peppery and rich. This is lighter and crisper. Frank Olivier Black Touch is a bit darker, damper and smokier on the vetiver, however, this has better development and is more interesting to me from citrus top to woody base.

enkitu

fabulous scent.
i see that many reviewers critisize Fattan for the harsh "synthetic" opening. yes, i would agree, but, personally, i adore it. it is a blast of fresh, green, "soapy", zesty fusion of citruses and vetiver which sends me to high heaven. somehow my nose skips grapefruit - all i get is bergamot and vetiver with cedar and moss in the distance. after 20-30 mins it loses initial punch of green freshness and settles for what people describe as Terre d'Hermes clone.

another note i'd like to stress - many people compare Fattan to TDH, but personally i don't see much similarities: Fattan lacks that sweet orange from TDH and introduces oakmoss absent in TDH which makes it standalone fragrance, less sweet and much drier and greener than TDH. so, though similar it may be to Terre d'Hermes, imho, this scent deserves to be treated as a stand-alone fragrance as it has enough its own personality.

my batch is january 2022 and juice color is cyanish green just like you see on all the pictures. i cannot count longevity and sillage with the precision of a sports referee of some other members, but lets say i am pleasantly very impressed. performance is very, very good.

mujtabahanif

Very strong perfume

DEAR FRAGRANTICA - please add finally Fattan for woman. This is beautiful, elegant frangrance with pink pepper, bergamot, mandarin, iris, rose, jasmine, patchouli, musk, leather, amber. THANKS IN ADVANCE

Not much else to say about this one that has not already been said, but above all I would say that this is a good pickup. The opening is, of course, more synthetic and harsh than Terre d'Hermes, which this is clearly a clone of. The opening with Fattan also lacks the Earth tones which Terre d'Hermes has in the opening, and the citruses as a result are sharper and cleaner, less so rich. However, in the dry down, the similarity is practically spot on. I am not sure if I become nose-blind to this scent, but I am left with the impression that this one lacks the performance and silage that I typically get with Terre d'Hermes.

I would still take Terre d'Hermes over this one because the 'dirty orange' opening which it is so famous for is something which I really enjoy, and full disclosure that Terre d'Hermes might possibly be my favourite designer fragrance. However, if someone is seeking an affordable alternative which captures the classy and gentlemen-like vetiver and citrus DNA, this is a hard one to pass up on. A strong like for me.

plsgivememoney

@Detman101 That's really expensive for Fattan, and at that price obviously you should go with the Hermes - but this is much cheaper in other parts of the world, in my country I found a bottle of this for less than 20USD.

Sorry, my "review" doesn't have anything to do with the fragrance but his didn't too lol. It sucks to see people just talk about prices in the review section of "clone" fragrances and not discuss the fragrance itself.

vintages

Grapefruit and vetiver. If you don't like grapefruit and vetiver, don't even think about that fragrance. the opening is a bit astringent but after 20 minutes it gets softer and it smells really nice. manly, earthy and fresh, without aquatic or sea notes.

To sum it up: vetiver, cedar, and grapefruit are 90% of the sent. some benzoin tries to make it a bit softer, just a bit. good performance. In the meantime I learned what Terre d Hermès smells like, and yes: this is a clone of it. And very close to the OG.

Longevity is long-lasting. On skin, it stays more than 8 hours. The price is a steal, sometimes this one is available for under 20 bucks ( in Europe).

Detman101

Was considering this, but why buy a 1.7oz clone for $50-60 when you can get the original 3.4oz Terre D'Hermes for $80?
Really not much savings with this clone when you compare the prices of the two...

Hitem

Don't judge this fragrance by the opening since it is a bit synthetic and a little harsh. But 20 minutes in and you will get a very mature, green and unique smell that I absolutely love. A lot of people here are saying that it is not a winter scent but I must disagree. I see this as an all seasons fragrance. The price is also very good.

The downsides to this fragrance is that it sits close to the skin (this can be different from one person to another though), and it comes only in a 50ml bottle. Otherwise one of my absolute favorites.

hclivess

It is very difficult for me to describe how much I love this, how unique and wonderful it is. One of the absolutely best vetiver fragrances out there, with a strong and long lasting component of citruses such as grapefruit. Performance of 2 days on clothes, good projection. A very emotional moment.

korleis

This is a wonderful little gem. I was actually looking for Rasasi royale but it was sold out so I decided to go for this one instead. There were no testers so I blind bought it, and I’m happily surprised! Soo soo cheap, at 58 AED (around 15 €) and it doesn’t smell cheap at all.
My first impressions: terre d’Hermes with a bit sweeter citrus in the opening, less raw ”dusty” orange but a much more intense vetiver and a greener dry down.
I’ll layer this with some iso e-super and see what happens. Thumbs up from me👍🏼👍🏼

nassu100

The first thing about the fragrance: This must be one of the best dirt cheap fragrances, I believe mine was like 15 € for the 50 ml bottle. Would still be worth it even if the price was much higher.

How does it smell like? It smells like fresh cut connifer needles. To me, this might be the most linear fragrance I have ever smelled, which is in this case a good thing, since it doesn't even have an alcohol opening. I don't find it too synthetic, and it actually smells like something you would find from the nature.

Does it smell like TdH? At least, not quite like the original EDT. It definitely has the same type of smell, but especially the opening is missing the orange. The base is quite similar. I wouldn't say I could be able to smell the difference, if I got a whiff in the air.

Should you buy it? Well, it depeds. If you like the smell of TdH and don't want to spend much money on something like that, then absolutely. I would say this is a good subtitute and worth picking up, especially in case you would only wear it occasionally. I'd describe it as a formal blue fragrance, so there is better alternatives for evenings out. Also, I wouldn't wear it in very high heat due its strenght. I would say this is best suitable for a 30+ years old car salesman or so, as is TdH.

I also have one compliment: the cap. It is clear and triangular, so it looks almost that it would fit in any of the three positions, but it only does to one of them, since it's a little bit oblong.

...layer FATTAN ( Rasasi ) with CENTO ( Ajmal )... bitter over bitter

GoldenState

I am not on expert on TDH but to me it does smell really similar. Expecially the EDP version. It starts with a bitter orange and goes into vetiver, pretty straightforward, but does give the TDH vibe well. As I said I'm not an expert on TDH so for me it's a good enough fragrance to keepthis one and it seems that's having TDH would be unnecessary while having Fattan too. Nice representation of TDH IMHO!

ONE-CLASSIC-MAN

Fattan Rasasi is a nice and masculine fragrance! It starts with bitter - citrus and soon the vetiver joins them.. Performance is good. I like it !

pokemon.1809

Are the new batches good too ? or it reformulated?

Thank you

wh1msydevIant

It's a windy Autumn day. There's a heap of brown leaves on the grass, orange peels are scattered about and the whole pile is drenched in orange juice. That's how I would describe this fragrance. I like it but I am too playful for quite a mature scent, 30+

salo414

For me this is a clone of Terre d' Hermes Edp, not the Edt. They are quite different imo. The Edp is less fresh and not as versatile as the Edt.
Test TDH Edp before buying Fattan if you haven't smelled it.
My problem and the reason why I almost never use it is that it's too synthetic/harsh.

[email protected]

I'd classify Fattan as an aquatic green, earthy scent.

I still caught a whiff of it 12 hours later so Fattan passed my potency test.

Alexzai

Nice Fragrance Rasasi Fattan
Really it's a pleasent scent. A very good cologne of Terre dHermes, this fragrance is long lasting as depends climate. In india it gives nice performance...
This is a 7.8/10 scent and the performance is off the hook.

neil_ban

What a terrific fragrance and that also at such a dirt cheap price. I simply don't understand how does Rasasi offer such a great product at such low prices. Smells so opulent with the vibrant aromatic vetiver along with pleasant and subtle nuances of citrus, earthy, woody and floral notes. Great longevity, no complaints on that, easy 6-7 hrs on my skin and that also in a warmer climate. If you work in a climate controlled environment, surely expect more. Compliment getter for sure as I myself have got so many. It's so comforting and trust me, the scent trail it leaves is definitely going to catch noses.. Thank you Rasasi, this is a gem!

Madyana

I made a small trip to the world of men’s fragrance and this one grabbed my sleeve.
Here is something really charming, this smells like Finnish midsummer, a sauna by a small pond, clean linen t-shirt and a wind chime in a birch branch ...
I consider this more like man’s scent, not so much even unisex, but still I personally feel able to use this easy. This is not an "Eau De Cologne style" citrus scent, what would be completely superior to me. I find here a sweet, even a little watermelon scent, and I really enjoy that nuance here.
I usually like the "predatory" scent, but... perhaps this is my only scent that I would hope the longevity would not be quite so comprehensive! I get 1 - 3 spray and that last all day on my skin, so I calculated that a 50 ml bottle will last maybe 12 years with my use ...😂

Dr Harder

I am using this week only vetiver based fragrances from my small collection in order to compare their overall quality. There are three from lalique encre noire line, Fattan, Lagerfeld bois de vetiver and Guerlain vetiver. Fattan has impressive sillage and longevity but compared to the other mentioned scents it also has lower quality of used ingredients. Its still good, but I would advise you to buy it only if you are in for a cheap TdH clone. If you are looking for affordable vetiver based scents then all three from lalique encre noire line(20-30 eur) or Lagerfeld(20 eur) or Guerlain vetiver (35 eur) are much better choice.

ulisesheureaux

This is my signature scent! I love this beautiful aquamarine juice so much I almost want to drink it. Several commentators compare this scent to Terre d'Hermes, though I argue that Fattan is by far a better scent. It is much less harsh and includes a "greener," "fresher" combination of notes. It is a little synthetic and I wouldn't wear it on a date, an interview or anything too formal. However, I'd wear it at the gym, office, outside, or just when I am out casually. It is great in the summer, fall, or spring in my opinion - I'd wear something like La Yuqawam in the winter rather than Fattan. I strongly recommend this for a blind buy for any man 25 or older.

Mississippi Mudcat

Some people say that Rasasi Fattan Pour Homme is a Terre D'Hermes clone. While they do share many similar notes and the same type of overall vibe, I personally believe that you can own both without it being redundant. I currently have them both in my collection and am very glad that I do.

Fattan doesn't have that bitter orange note that some people don't particularly like. Instead Fattan utilizes a strong bergamot note that is extremely nice. I also enjoy the pink pepper note in Fattan more than the black pepper accord in Terre D'Hermes.

To nutshell it for you, if you love Terre D'Hermes go ahead and grab a bottle of Rasasi Fattan Pour Homme!

After reading countless reviews, the good ratings on various forums, its been three days since I got Fattan delivered at my home. I sprayed it on a paper first, just some random receipt. It was a burst of cheapness on the onset. I remained calm as I knew i had to wait for the opening to pass. I kept the receipt in my back pocket and went on with my day. Smelling every hour so. It didn’t change much by night. After 4 hours, depression starts to settle in, the remorse of a bad buy. 8 hours passed, nothing significant changed. I was confused. How a 4.4 and 8.2 rated perfume could be so bad? Maybe its the first spray not mixed well or some crazy science involved. The next day i sprayed it on the armrest of the sofa. It smelled a little better this time after 2 hours. My wife still laughing at me. Saying thats not me. Today I sprayed it on my chest. In the shirt so that only i could smell it. It smells much better than the receipt now. But still can’t understand the hype and praise. Its not about personal taste, I have a diverse collection of perfumes feom Oud oils to oceanic, spicy and vanilla perfumes. This one smells cheap. Maybe i got a fake, which is highly doubtful because I live in the UAE. I’ll keep testing it.

It reminds me of my uncle from 1990’s who wore Charlie all the time.

Lizabs68

What a beautiful scent. A very good dupe of Terre d'Hermes, this fragrance is amazing.
This is a 10/10 scent and the performance is off the hook. Ignore the haters, side by side with Terre d'Hermes EDT, the only difference is that this gem seem stronger to my nose.

Danitom

Has an old-school, barber shop vibe but does not smell dated. Nice vetiver almost medicinal smell. This scent is masculine and reminds me of another fragrance I used to smell often back in the 80s but I can't put my finger on it. I think this is for men 30+ and well-dressed. Not a leather jacket and jeans kind of scent. I like it.

Update: The drydown is very good. Better than the opening. Smells very nice in cooler, end of summer/early Fall weather.

2023 update **
I finally got around to trying the original Hermes D'Terre EDT and it's far different. Both are great don't get me wrong but If you like one you'll like the other. This is more simple and wearable as grapefruit, pink pepper and vetiver are what come to mind first. However if you're after something similar to the original D'Terre on a budget this isn't for you. I can say 100% this is the Hermes "intense vetiver" flanker. The big difference is the orange in the opening working with the grapefruit to give it more of a sparkling citrus like opening is not present in here. Instead in Fattan you just get the grapefruit which is still great. Don't get me wrong. I actually like this a lot more than D'Terre. When I tried a tester of it even if they were priced the same I'd still go with Fattan. It's more linear but seriously who cares. It's one of those that starts off so great in the opening that you don't want to or care that the scent evolves or not.

When I got this I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. I paid 27$ and I thought if I didn't like it I would be ok tossing it or giving it to a family member. But no this really surprised the heck out of me. This has one of the worst names ever. If some woman asked me what this scent was I'd probably just say Hermes Intense Vetiver and not dare say Fattan with the risk of me getting slapped or someone thinking I'm messing with them. When Rasasi export their fragrances they should put an English name on their fragrances so it's easier to remember or this case more appealing. Sort of like what Lattafa did with Oud For Glory.

I was tempted to get the Hermes fragrance this is cloning on around the holidays thanks to some helpful suggestions on youtube comparing all of the D'Terre line and I'm glad I went on here first and found this as a suggestion as it saved me about 50$. It's as similar to 360 Red by Perry Ellis is to the current formulation of Armani Acqua Di Gio. What makes this even more of an amazing deal is that both the intense vetiver this is based on and this Rasasi are EDP concentration so how can you go wrong?

The scent itself is sweet without being too unisex. It's got this brilliant sparkle of brightness from it, It's got a nice amount of spice to it without causing headaches. I get the bright ray of sunshine that one youtuber described this as. It's atmospheric, the vetiver comes off more on the sweeter side almost fresh cut grass type scent. Not the usual cut grass in North America but something much nicer. It's a spring, summer to fall type scent. Fall may be pushing it when it gets cold but the spices help. Wearing this you'll stand out more than the same old bargain bin stuff people usually wear. I got 6 to 7 hours, With about 5 sprays on a very hot day.

Who is this scent right for this would be for a younger crowd to someone possibly under 40 years old. A day time fragrance, it may be dumb reach worthy. This can be a fragrance to wear while during casual stuff such as going to the store, hanging out with friends. Working in an office if you go a little light on it, working the floor of a shop. However walks in the park and anything outdoors this would excel in, Would this be good enough for someones first fragrance if it was on the same shelf as cool water and everything else you expect in the under 30$ price range. I don't think so. It's not hard to wear yet there are better options out there. My favorite green scent will always be Ralph Lauren Polo Green (original) but this can be a great introduction to green fragrances.

When would I not use this. Anything suits and ties more than anything. Expensive dinners or First dates this may not work. I wouldn't want to go clubbing in this either

Of anything I've tried the last few years two that come to mind to compare this to are Malizia Uomo Vetiver and Bentley Infinite Intense (not infinite rush). The big difference with Bentley infinite rush intense is that Bentley is darker, richer and they try to make it a bit more sophisticated than it needed to be. Though you get faint bits of new car smell if you smell it in deeply with Bentley which I wasn't a fan of as it had a dirtier and more earthy vetiver. This is more youthful and easier to wear. Malizia Uomo being one of the best cheap fragrances on the market versus this, Malizia is more simple, a bit darker and deeper, a touch less sweet and their atmospheric quality of them are similar. Though Malizia is not as spicy and won't perform as well as the other two but Malizia is 3 to 7 times cheaper so cheap enough to put in a car to re-spray when needed where you can either go through a bottle fast over spraying and not worry about the heat damaging a 7-10$ fragrance where as Bentley is 50$ and Fattan is 27$.

So at the end of the day. Is it blind buy worthy? if you're into vetiver scents absolutely as this isn't very challenging to wear like gucci pour homme (2003) or paco rabanne pure XS. here's nothing over powering or obnoxious to my nose like an obnoxious amount of oud, a sickly sweetness or a really feminine leaning gourmand (food smelling scent). Maybe in a few years I'll buy a new bottle of it when I miss it.

Fragscenthead

All I wanted to say have been said before me. Potent, earthy, Terre d'Hermes fruity and vetiver clone, but with more more longevity. Oh my God I wish all my perfumes were so intense!!! July's heat didn't seem to has a negative impact on it.

Wacaz

Got hold of a 2018 bottle and bang. 12 plus hrs on skin longevity, great projection and Sillage. What a performer it is.
Classy oakmoss with vetiver and bergamot. I really love this stuff. It's my 3rd bottle but performance of older baches is out of the park. 2019 batches were good but 2018 is even better.
Highly recommended.
10/10 for me.

Dr Harder

This is one potent stuff, longevity is easily 10 hours with 3-4 hours of raw projection. Initial phase is not good, its sharp and synthetic with bitter citruses and vetiver. However, approximately half an hour later real vetiver effect comes with oakmoss and benzoin giving it more of a creamy, earthy and green nuances. Final result is that it smells 90-95% smiliar to TdH edt with improved sillage and longevity. Initial phase is what makes them different, TdH is clear winner in that aspect but it is totally understandable when taking the price ratio into account.

MAKSTR

Rasasi Fattan Pour Femme 50ML not listed here.(or atleast I can't find it)

I mistakenly ordered the feminine version whose box is lilac colored and has light brown juice.
It is overwhelmingly sweet, I can taste heavy sugar syrup and over sweetened middle eastern sweets in my mouth.I could clearly see the crispy shiny layer on my skin after spraying it on my arm. Stays for about 3 hrs.
My wife said a huge no to it, can't use it as room spray I'm afraid it will attract flies.
I'm gonna order this again, hope this one is better.
--------------------
Rasasi Fattan Men
Wow! this is really good!
Bergamot, vetiver, woody notes with patchouli are clearly picked by my nose.
For 1 hr + it's the same , loving this green juice and it is night n day different from the sweet syrup feminine version.
After 1.5 hrs Vetiver and wet moss smell stays for about 2 hrs more.
Scent 7/10
Sillage 7/10
Longevity 6/10 about 4.5 hrs.
Value 7/10

Sweetguy13

Great perfume guys, especially for the price, it is a steal. Citrusy, green, earthy, mossy.

SanjayRajpalSomvanshii

Its a superb fragrance and it can be a good rainy day perfume.

Thatsukadude

Smells like tdh not the intense vetiver but more like the edt smells great with a more clean mossy vibe. Smells a little cheaper but performance might even be better then all the hermes ones for a fraction of the price.
If u are looking to replace any of the tdh fragrances u simply cant ive tries everything but this comes the closest. That said this is a must have for any lover not as a replacement but as a addition perfect for spring

Bukhari

A great alternate to TDH 👍

Wacaz

Wow, what a perfume. Smells amazing and costs so low.
I have been using it for 5 months. Initially i was like, it's good nothing special. And now i say it's great and it stands out.
No doubt TDH is class. But this one has way more projection and sillage, lasts very long time on cloths specially, and still smells mass appealing. Even cuts through in winters.
TDH is the only perfume, for which i have a backup bottle, this is going to be second.
All weather signature worthy scent.

Ries

Well yeah, for the price it's an amazing spring/summer scent. Wants to be a kind of TdH but is way more linear and clearly with less quality components. It's more a bit of a toilet cleaner scent but never had one like this with grapefruit on top, bit pepper on the heart and loads of vetiver throughout. You get what you pay for stays valid but this one masks itself as pseudo quality really really good... Moderate sillage and really long lasting. With the price a no brainer blind buy!

ScentFox

Been hunting it for a while and finaly managed to buy it. Initial spray is a killer as it exploded with a bitter citruses and so much of vetiver but in 2-3 minutes it settled into very vetivery & citrusy cocktail. It is very nice and sharp scent. Smells very masculine and fresh but samz time has the undertone of light earthy woody mix. Some similarities with Terre d'Hermes can definately be felt but I wouldnt put them to an equal line. I think it is comming up to most of us as Terre just because of Vetiver and citrus mix with a hint of resin. It can be easily compared to some other vetiver based scents. Somehow I also find some similarities with Yves Rocher Cuir Vetiver. I would say that it does not really smell exactly as Terre d'Hermes Hermès but just a little similar. Terres is much more natural and less agressive also more sweet and better blended in overal. Fattan smells more synthetic but it is quite good and nice. I am finding it to perform better in rainy or windy weather but not during a cold season. In about an hour after spray i can feel vetiver, grapefruit and lemon with a tiny drop of benzoin. After 2-3 hours it is very nice vetiver and woody juice with well performing citrus notes above it.

syrianrue

It is a bitterer, more intense version of:
Terre d'Hermes Hermès for men.

Trendkill97

This is a good good scent. Being a HUGE fan of TdH and the entire line I own TdH EDT, Parfum and Eau Tres Fraiche, this is impressive from Rasasi, amazing job! One of the best bang for buck fragrances ever. Smells spot on like TdH Parfum, it takes nitpicking to actually distinguish between the two. So you know it's great quality (Hermes level for a fraction of the price). Mossy throughout, sharp grapefruit up top. Definitely blind buy worthy if found under 30$, you'll be proud of yourself. (Given you gravitate towards TdH like scents - no brainer).

No complains on performance and insanely good projection initially.

Overall 9/10

1Nose2RuleThemAll

A green masterpiece - It's fresh, masculine, earthy and sophisticated.
If you want to smell like a mature macho gentleman get yourself a bottle of Fattan.

Scent: 9.0/10

I put a colour on all my fragrances, blue, yellow, green etc. This one is not yellow for me, as TdH is, like not at all. For me this is green, and a very pleasant green as well. It stays on my skin for a very long time, but I just cant get the Tdh smell at all. For me Tdh is as yellow as it gets. Other yellow frags for me could be Armani Pour Homme, Eau de Sauvage and Bowling Green.

Update: Got a sample of TdH and NOW I get it. This is close, just find this one a little more "sour"

Gago1

Extremely beautiful, fresh and very elegant aroma. In my opinion, it is better than TdH and as a fragrance, even as a presentation. It easily lasts all working day, designs powerfully so that everyone in the room can feel its aroma. Ah, the price-performance ratio is incomparable.

Gogiciano

I own TdH and TdH Intense Vetiver. Rasasi Fattan smells close to both. Just a little more to Vetiver.

I have to say of those three fragrances i love Rasasi Fattan the most. Could not believe i would ever say that, because i am a real TdH lover.

But this Fattan stays on me easily 12+ hours and projects really great.

For the 16 euro i paid for a 50ml bottle, this is one of my best buys of my collection.

ElCaupo

TDH a b s o l u t e l y, last alot, cost almost nothing and smell good

thedjay

I only smell vetiver, man this scent is beautiful. The best value for money, 3 sprays and you are good for rest of the day.

Maison on fire

Haven't smelt any TDH flankers yet... but this smells like it could be one

If Rasasi woulda added the orange note though 😭
This would be perfect.

I get some plain ole' citrus (not orange 😭) + vetiver.

I like it... the more I smell it the better it gets.

This is an initial impression. Pretty happy with the longevity

sidm

Solid alternative for TDH eau intense vetiver. Solid fragrance for vetiver lover. Will not recommend blind buy specially who are new in the game. Slightly for the mature audience.

Mohsin9966

To be honest this is not my kind of perfume i order based on yt reviews i don't like this as well as rasasi dharej

ivaylops

A beautiful and long lasting alternative to TdH. First five minutes can be too much for some noses but if you survive the initial blast you get hours upon hours of awesomeness with a strong projection and sillage.
A steal for the price it sells at, totally worth a backup bottle (or two). I wish they offered it in 100ml size as well, though 50ml bottles are easier to travel with.

p.s.
All my bottles are with the green juice, not sure if the 2020 batches with the brown juice are weaker or reformulated in any way. I hope not.

Flamma

Amazing juice!
This is the best Rasasi fragrance next to Hawas and la yuqawam pour homme.

Performance is great as well, probably better than Terre Hermes.

@m.-kowalski.
There are facts in my statement and one opinion.
The reader is invited (as with any comment) to check out the facts and not blindly accept them.
Opinions are by their very nature subjective and exegesis is inappropriate.
Making a counter statement that is incorrect, without undertaking easily accessible (via the links here) information is somewhat indolent and the use of the word “probably” indicates a premeditated lack of precision.
Fattan is very much alive and kicking.

m.-kowalski

@KnightOfTheKing The price is not because of the youtubers. Fattan has been hard to get and probably discontinued.

LordCharfield

Just looked at the U.K. prices. SAMA Perfumes, the official EU distributor has this at £21.50, and eBay sellers are selling North of £32 for just 50ml!
I might as well buy 100ml of the real thing for a few more quid!
Many of these copies are becoming unrealistic in price as some YouTube reviewers hype products (for their own ego/channel building) that are then price-gouged by greedy sellers on eBay and ruin the market for those of us who just enjoy fragrances!
I’ve stopped watching some prominent UK reviewers on YouTube for this reason. Sebastian (Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews) Steven (Redolessence) and Carlos (Brooklyn Fragrance Lover) are my trusted reviewers on there because they were there at the beginning and they just love the hobby for the frags alone.

OutOfOdour

So green. So earthy. So good.

Somewhere in between Terre d'Hermes and Intense Vetiver. Almost as good as the former and much better than the latter.

This is how a clone should be done! They've gone all out and nailed it!

For me, this one's better than Mr. Edge from Swiss Arabian, better than Armaf Derby Clubhouse Belmont, way better than Franck Olivier Black Touch and leaps and bounds ahead of Lomani AB Spirit.

Longevity and Sillage are top notch. Here in Dubai I get this for AED 65 ($17) for a 50ml, making it a no-brainer.

I'm on my second bottle already. This is the best that Rasasi has to offer.

Aous

when i first smelt it it reminded me instantly of Terre d'Hermes also good price 12$ and the bottle size is 50ml

kigyo

The drydown is most def Encre Noir to my nose, vetiver domination. Most importantly this is an incredible value for the price, 16 Euros where I stay right now. This is my second Rasasi fragrance and very happy with both creations of this house, absolutely incredible values. I don't know who comes with these fragrances but they are geniuses.

kirgo61

Terre d'Hermes Eau Intense Vetiver clone for sure. It's a very elegant scent, many people will say that this smell like old man in church. I like it but I think I'm a little bit too young for that. I'm wearing this only if the mood is right (rainy gray day). Performance is very good.
Scent: 8/10,
Performance 8/10,
Age: 35+,
Not safe for a blind buy.

kins666

Whatever haters might say, you can`t find a better replacement of tdh than Fattan. And I write this after comparing both side by side. 80-85 % similar. Value for what you pay and what you get. A good summer performer in today`s world of diluted reformulations. Blind buy for tdh lovers.

Don Joe

I completely agree with Aelien. For my taste, there's too much synthetic cedarwood. And compared to TdH, there's much more vetiver and no pepper to make the vetiver less sour. As a side note, it says "eau de parfum" on the box and bottle, yet there's 90% of ethanol alone (plus some water).

noseblind

Fattan is the ultimate pine_needles/tree/sap/wood/moss smell and gives me beautiful vibes of the PNW. I just ordered a backup bottle.

My Sept 2019 UAE batch is the lovely light turquoise green colour. I hope my next bottle is the brown one.

Yeah!

saqlainr12

Amazing & loveable, A beautiful mix of wood & Bergamot, these are the two notes which dominate this fragrance, the wood seems like cedar, and there is some vibe of oakmoss as well. I have not tried TDH yet, but i can say, this one is unique, very long lasting at times, its stays there for more than 12 Hrs. For those discussing the juice color, The juice in 2019 batch is brownish.

Price 10/10
Presenatation 8/10
Smell 10/10
Longevity 10/10
Sillage 8/10

siririschmoos

To answer FCookie, I feel the vetiver here is grassy.

This scent is easily more approachable, the bug spray aspect that some report is smoothed out.

The flint note is toned down.

Definitely more citrus in the top.

I would recommend.

adamn2020

The most underrated Rasasi there is. This is a rich and refined version of Terre D'Hermes. I have almost finished a bottle of TDH and I can say with the upmost certainty, that Rasasi Fattan is an amazing clone, maybe even better than TDH. It literally blew me away when I first sprayed it and I don't think I stopped sniffing my hand for hours after. It lasts forever and even lasted after I had took a shower!!! If you can find this for $25 or $30 I would get it!!! I think it is being discontinued but not sure. Not many reviews on youtube for this one. If you don't like the Earthy Orange smell then this is not for you.

Get your nose on it quick!

8.5 out of 10. It lasts forever, projects great, and smells amazing!

ForbiddenCookie

Question... what kind of vetiver is the ones used in this? Would you guys describe it as grassy, earthy, rubbery, metallic, and/or clean?

smellsbells

THE womens version is even better!

Agente0

I was a bit worried because as NicosV and stereoscopic commented before, mine was kind of brown as well instead of the green look juice they show in all the pictures on the Internet. Probably due to some recent reformulation. Still, I had the chance of testing TDH EdP and it can be considered an outstanding clone, so no complains about it.
So basically, if you like TDH EdP but don't have the money for it, go for this, it still can be found below 20 euros, you won't regret.

NicosV

I received mine before a week and the colour is different, a light brown instead the green-blue. Although the performance and the quality is great! I love it.

stereoscopic

Just got this today. It is indeed an amazing clone of TDH EDP with great performance. The only thing is that the color of the juice in my bottle it's brownish instead of green/blue-ish. I checked the package, manufactured June 2019 in UAE. Everything looks legit and I doubt anyone would fake a 20EUR Rasasi fragrance.
Anyone with the same issue? Could they have changed the formulation/color of the juice?

farooq_sweden

openning is too much peppery even if there is any citrus notes, disappeared. its not almost 30 mins i am wearing it and still pepper. it reminded me "Montale Intense Pepper" with opening so far.
.......
....
...
..
.
after keeping this fragrance for 1 month and applying it for 3-4 times. now i start loving it. now i am also smelling some of citrus. But still i cannot smell any of woody notes yet. Even in dry down it is still pepperish citrusy. but i am liking it anyhow. performance is really good.

Ivan Stoyanov

Not a clone of TdH, a bit different and not that fresh and citrussy.

MrHonest

One of, if not, THE best fragrance purchases I ever made.

No need for a long review with this one. It's absolutely a perfect copy of TDH Parfum (not the edt or intense vetiver) with, get this - BETTER performance all around. Maybe a tad brighter in the mid as the orange comes off more like a lime, but it's essentially the same.

Careful with the opening though. It's kinda harsh, chemically, and can take about 10 minutes to settle. In fact, my original thought when I first sprayed it was, "ok...this smells exactly like Zara's Norrland." But where Norrland goes in the sour grapefruit direction losing steam all the while, Fattan balances out perfectly and charges like Batman outta Gotham hell.

Projection? POW!! Longevity? SOCK!! Price? BIFF!! Still don't know what biff means, but hey, you get the picture. To the bat mobile!

Scent - 9.5/10
Longevity - 8.5/10
Projection - 9/10
Overall - 9.5/10 Nana nana nana nana Fat-tan!!

vola_cea

On my skin it starts with a very overpowering grapefruit note that slowly mixes with vetiver to form the dominant accord which lasts until it fades. When I pictured a "green and fresh" scent it's not quite what I had in mind. Off of skin this scent is herbal and abrasive, and gives me the same perverse feeling as tearing an unripe orange off of the branch.

The scent trail is a different story. The sharpness of the citrus dulls just enough to create an incredible wake of bright vetiver. If you are disappointed by the poor performance of TDH style fragrances, this solves the problem with an easy 12+ hours of longevity with 1 or 2 sprays.

kspeers

WOW ! What a great spring fragrance. Lasts longer than you would ever need. Lasts 2x longer than TDH. The best Rasasi freshie (Orange + Vetiver cocktail)

BLIND BUY WORTHY, especially if you like TDH. Get it while you can.

Munnou Bhai

@ Vaporized

I already bought it on your recommendation yesterday :-)
Will update soon my views about Fattan performance etc.

Vaporized

@ Munnou: Yes definitely, I live in the gulf, have used it to great results! Another one to check out is Swiss Arabian Mr. Edge. It is an excellent clone of TDH EDT not the EDP like Fattan

Munnou Bhai

@ Vapor Trail & @ Vaporized
Is it a Summer fragrance & wearable in hot weather like Gulf??

illatvadasz

This perfume is a wonderful vetiver heaven. OMG, what a mature, beautiful fragrance... olfactive orgasm :D
Excellent. Masterpiece from Rasasi! 10/10

Ioshka

Beautifully done copy of tdh. Reminds me of Un Jardin sur le Nil a lot. potent juice. Smells very natural, grassy. Very good sillage.

Vaporized

Grand and eloquent, great knock off of TDH. Excellent sillage in the first 3 hours and great longevity, the 10 hours real deal
