This is one of my favorites. Don’t pay attention to the notes this is a sweet Barbie doll fragrance. Very unique and cute I love it

Lauren_Trouble

Nail polish remover, fresh plastic & retro floral perfume in the best way possible! Ultra nostalgic, makes me think of an old makeup vanity that hasn't changed since the 90's

VirgowithLeo

If you ever smelled a barbie doll...it is that.
For a minute u smell that. It does not last at all.
It reminds me of cerruti perfume ...basically plastic. But cerruti is beast mode.
Whereas this one is very very faint.

Honestly it just spraying alcohol w hint of plastic barbie doll scent

I am gonna be decluttering it. It is not even good enough for using as bed time spray because there is not much scent to it and the plastic scent is not that exciting

violetaura

I bought the rollerball stick as a blind buy, and I'm trying it now in late summer/early autumn which seems to be a good time of year to see how perfumes work with my skin chemistry due to the humidity being the biggest factor, and it's working well with no interference which is great. However, I definitely think this will be great for spring and early summer, so I can't wait to try it then.
Rollerballs are always stronger than using the spray, so when I first tried this yesterday, it was interesting but overwhelming, as I rolled it a lot on the back of my hand. Trying it again today with a few dots in my inner forearms and its much nicer. It's a soft girly floral, but it definitely has synthetic smells, which do give me a bit of a headache so i wont wear it close to my face, and will use it lightly.

I can totally see me reaching for this when I'm feeling bubbly and young at heart. I relate things to aesthetics all the time, so I relate this to bubblegum pop, Barbie going to the beach, even e-girls who are wearing a lot of pink or pastels. Grimes was one of the faces of this perfume when it was released in 2016, and it did definitely suit her Art Angels era, if youre familiar with that album. Something about it is addictive, but this could definitely be repulsive to some. Not a safe blind buy unless you know you like anything young & girly, but also one dimensional, and you don't mind synthetic smells. I also won't call this work safe for an office, but probably okay for other places like retail or offices that are less closed-in formal and more open to creativity.
And if you're worried about longevity, get the damn rollerball!

I don’t expect I will buy this again. Double-sprayed this at 11:30am this morning and by 3pm it’s gone. Not even a skin scent. The weather today in my subtropical climate is over 30 degrees Celsius, humid (over 70%), no breeze. True, I did not put moisturiser on first but who wants to in clammy humid weather? The longevity for me is woeful. It already begins fading within the first 30 minutes. Consequently, I don’t get to smell it enough on me to tell if the notes are any good; I don’t think the notes are really that good. Do better, Stella.

Printeza7

Pretty, nothing to blow your mind but nice, Office safe for sure :-)

Morticiamonroe

I am so happy I finally give it a try! A successful blindbuy. I didn't understand the "plastic doll head", until I smell it. It brought me back in the mid-nineties. It has a sweet plastic note, but in a pleasant way.

Essie12

A clean scent that's one dimensional, lacking depth. I wanted to like it, but it never grew on me.

Amber&Oud

alleged notes:
tuberose, sandalwood

what i smell:
fruity, woody

scent event / my reaction:
Spring scent for a young mother, disneyland with your children for the first time, the sensation of your youngest falling asleep in your arms while the fireworks go off

MelindaS

I was intrigued by the "barbie" description of this fragrance. There is definitely a sweet plastic note that is reminiscent of childhood toys. For me, this just wasn't something I reached for to wear out, and ultimately ended up giving my bottle away. It's not an offensive fragrance, but isn't anything I gravitated toward. If you're debating on this, I'd pass. It's not nearly as incredible as described by YouTube.

Skinscents4Fusspots

Definitely my favourite tuberose perfume and I suspect it's the violet that just mixes so perfectly with it!. Almost invisible at first but blooms on the skin. I think it kind of struggles in high heat. On me it seems to work best in cool-warm weather rather than cold or hot, so it's a perfect transitional scent for going from Summer to Autumn or Spring to Summer. I'm wearing it today and it smells perfect! I can smell every note but not too much of any and it's not too sharp or sweet (I sadly find Pop Bluebell a bit sharp!).

What's interesting to me is that I used the spray bottle this morning but have the rollerball pen with me to top up and it is noticeably stronger and sweeter than either of my spray bottles! If you can find a Rollerball - even thought they're a bit annoying to use - you might find a bit thicker and sweeter version of Pop!

Magical Scent!

It shares some similarities and vibes to some 90's / 2000's classics, so I'd recommend Lacoste Touch of Pink if you want a more syrupy sweet version, Hugo Boss Hugo Woman if you want a more grown up vibe or Elizabeth Taylor Forever Elizabeth for a powdery apple with a similar violet dry down. If you like something sharper then Pop Bluebell would be perfect.

[email protected]

On first spray, this is not a favourite - it smells a lot like some old-school hairspray I used to use, but I can’t put my finger on it. I’ve tried it a few times now, and the scent after dry-down is much more pleasant and is growing on me, although I wouldn’t purchase it again. The tuberose comes through along with a fairly prominent green note, assuming from the tomato leaves. There’s also some earthiness to it. Thankfully, I don’t smell iris at all - I almost shied away from trying this one as I was afraid iris would be prominent, and I’m not a fan. Thankfully, it isn’t.

Sallymiller

I brought this because I was hoping for the plastic Barbie dolls head scent it is meant to smell like . I don’t get that at all, to me it smells like dated cheap perfume. I do get the tuberose unlike some. I don’t enjoy this at all. Sprayer is terrible too. Regrettable.

ashleydvan

Ooof- I love this perfume. I struggle to describe it- but I think it had me at violets & tuberose. It smells like nonsynthetic sugar & watery notes- and almost a lily-of-the-valley heart note.

It reminds me of my mother’s scent when I was young… and it also reminds me of the pink, 90s scents that came with Barbie dolls. Lovely & nostalgic.

Silage & longevity are good on my skin.

A 7/10. Because this one is absolutely beautiful, but not a showstopper.

plumtobacco

to me this smells like the way envelope adhesive tastes

Clare101

I ave a sample and i love this!!! It smells like a combination of Eau de Eden by Cacharel and Very Irresistible by Givenchy. Too bad it's discontinued!

ellie.s64

i came back to this perfume years after i first discovered it as an 8 year old, gawking at the bottle on the shelves of Ulta. i took the crumpled up paper sample of it with me on a trip to Hood River, Oregon in the summer and smelled it every few minutes. my mom wouldn’t let me buy it so eventually i let it go & forgot about it. When i found it on Fragrancenet.com a couple months back, something in me told me to buy it. i knew i had to have it for the anxious child in me who was mysteriously connected to it. it’s light and breezy, powdery and green, and a little bit strange. but i think many people would enjoy it!! as a lover of violet perfumes, this takes an unconventional approach that still lets the violet shine. it’s calming and lovely, it’s outdoorsy, and it feels like childhood: barbie doll heads & freedom. ⛰🌬🪷

Moonbby

I was surprised how much I like this. It’s a fresh, light, girly scent. Brings to mind the color pink. It’s such a light pleasant scent great for warm weather. It doesn’t last too long on me but I don’t mind having to reapply. I would definitely recommend for the price.

Xenabea

I am a big Stella McCartney fan. I recently bought this and Bluebell Pop for a fairly good price and new in sealed boxes. I didn’t pay much attention to the notes in either one because I just thought they’re novelty for me.

I sprayed this perfume on my cardigan and it smells so good. Later, the same day, I received Bluebell. Reviews state they are very similar but I sprayed that also on the same cardigan and 8+ hours later they are going strong.

The crazy thing is- I LOVE them both. My husband really likes them as well. I always make him smell my arm in my constant changing of new perfumes. I see why some people would complain about the sprayer and mine stayed depressed after I sprayed it but I flicked the side of the cap and it popped back up. I can see myself buying this over and over.

Cinnabunn

This is sooo good! Also really long lasting on clothes. I sprayed it all over my shirt and decided to change so I hung it back in my closet and the scent lasted from Sunday to Thursday. Definitely would recommend ♡

Jamro

I have given this several chances with long pauses between, but I cannot like this perfume. It smells cheap. This smells like Debbie Gibson Electric Youth. A perfume I wore when I was about 11-12 years old, lol! I really wish I had a bottle of that, not for the scent but for that pink plastic spring in the bottle!

marietangerine

This is such a neat perfume. I totally agree with other reviewers who say this is 90s nostalgia baby doll head Barbie doll smell. I think it’s the tuberose combined with tomato leaf. Different but familiar to anyone over 30, I think. Got it for a steal online ($35 CND). Happy to have it for spring. Happy, fresh, sweet with a bit of an herbal bite. This was a medium performer at first, but after getting some air in the flacon and letting it sit for a few weeks, this sucker is BEASTMODE now.

mckfly24

A beautiful, nostalgic (as in 90's vibes / baby dolls fresh out of the box) very watery sweet florals with the best pencil shaving, musk base.
Does not last long unfortunately.

ava96

Such a fresh pleasant scent, I am very glad I bought it! I only wish the sillage was a bit stronger. It's fresh and sweet, floral, I'm really enjoying it.
It gets a bit stronger in the drydown but it doesn't really last long unfortunately, for which I'm sad because it is absolutely a wonderful smell.
I'm glad I saw this recommended by Ksenja.

Harley522

Absolutely gorgeous perfume. Sweet, fresh, young, modern, futuristic, cute, girly, seductive. All in one. For every season, every occasion, really universal. Shame it’s discontinued. Glad I have plenty backup bottles. I can’t be without that perfume.

PerfumeAdore♥️

I had a water baby growing up, and this definitely smells like her. This is a very light scent that only last around 2 hours or so. Pleasant but not a love.

EDIT:

After playing with this for a month, it has turned to a love. This is such a pleasant, easy to wear fragrance! The lasting power isn’t as bad on me as it appears to be on some. This is worth getting a backup as it is discontinued.

pinkorquid91

Clean scent, for everyday if you want.
I can’t tell every note, except for the tuberose, smells sweet, green, fresh and delicate. Can’t smell the tomato leaf (?) but it definitely adds some freshness and depth.
I’m not into tuberose but there’s something about this fragrance that makes me want to use it again. Besides the compliments, does something to my mood, I feel relaxed, like walking through a garden.

Lasts on me 3-4 hours
My husband really likes this perfume
100% recommended
You’ll feel feminine and refreshed.

vanillashpice

It smells like the mall . It’s very plasticky but I like that this tuberose doesn’t have a banana quality to it . The other florals make it pretty modern and I like the woody base . It’s not particularly unique but it smells nice . Better than most body sprays doesn’t seem to last too long but still decent on clothes it smells like the 2000’s to me . Like going to the mall in 2006 and walking around . That’s just what it smells like to me a Claire’s or Sanrio store with a bunch of plastic and the smell in the mall

d_silent_one

Ok, so unfortunately I had to sell mine. I tried it time and time again, and wanted to like it, but it did not go well on my skin. I don't know what it was but it made my skin smell like when you kill black ants. When I was small, I used to play with ants and small insects. When you smash a black ant it emits a specific smell, and that's exactly the way this perfume smells, with that characteristic scent.

emmahlou

This perfume is fine. It’s a sweet floral that has a definite plastic note to it. It can smell like bug spray too, and the tomato leaf is definitely prominent in terms on helping produce that sharp, bug spray like aroma this scent can produce.

I tested this in 2017 overseas and purchased it then. Fast forward 5 years and I’m unsure what I smelt in it. It’s very safe, I usually spray this if I’m going for a walk or to grab a quick coffee. It could also be really inoffensive if you worked in an office as it’s just not very loud. I like a little more oomph and sweetness to my frags these days, so for that, it’s not a repurchase.

SaraZigova

I get heavy tuberose 😍 so pretty

Angel Indy

This is disappointing. Like many others, I heard about this fragrance from Ksenja on YouTube and I bought it. It was very disappointing to say the least. This fragrance doesn’t last at all. The smell is also boring. I do get the plastic Barbie doll scent from it but it’s not that great. If it was a little sweeter and lasted longer than I would actually really like it.

yeesa_

I get the barbie doll smell everyone is talking about. This is sweet, fresh, floral, somewhat powdery. However I dont think I would reach for this the smell is kind of nauseating.

b.a.denney

I got this because Ksenja on YouTube recommended it. I honestly am glad I only got the small travel size from Scentbox. I do get that initial Barbie doll head smell and that lasts quite a while. I don’t really like it at first spray and I don’t like it much on dry down either. It’s not a weak smell and seems pretty long lasting. I’m just not a fan of this scent. I love the smell of tomato leaves, but somehow I’m not getting much of that here, probably because it’s a top note and it burns off. It’s not like I enjoyed the initial blast anyway.

Laynie_Scents

I love this on a hot day. It is so refreshing. Freshly showered clean without being soapy. It’s juicy and sweet but not cloying. I love the tomato leaf note!

Pebblesjebbles333

After contemplating for a long time whether I should blind buy a 3.4 oz bottle or try a sample first, i’m very glad I tried the sample first. The scent is ok but it’s just not my kind of scent. I can smell the “plastic”’ the strongest and it is kinda making me nauseous and giving me a bit of headache.

But aside from that I can totally see where the Barbie toy comparison is coming from. I do agree from the comments below that this is a girly girl scent.

Tt777

This is a musky sandalwood floral. Feminine and powdery. I learned about it bc of YouTube. Heard it was discontinued so blind bought it off of eBay. I love the og Stella so decided to throw caution to the wind

And it’s underwhelming. Only bc I have aggressively collected fragrance in the past 5 years and have so many bottles and decants that things are beginning to smell the same to me unless it truly stands out.

I will say this is nice though but not groundbreaking. It’s an easy reach and inoffensive. I’m not sure I needed another woody, fresh, powdery floral in my collection though.

The og Stella is my favorite from this house and something I’ll always have in my collection. This one I’ll likely go through the bottle and will experiment with layering.

Edit: the drydown smells like something I do not own but not sure if that will make me want to repurchase. This sits close to the skin and smells clean. I also realized this reminds me of VS Amber Romance!, if you enjoy that scent you will like this!
P.s. I don’t remember my Barbie’s smelling like this. Chanel chance au fraiche, for some reason reminds me of dollheads/Barbie hair🤷🏻♀️

meganlamode

I remember being struck by the advertising for Pop when it originally came out, with Grimes and a pink Cadillac in the middle of a desert. I wasn't as into fragrances then as I am now, so I didn't seek out a bottle despite my intrigue. Fast forward to now, and I'm much more into fragrance (if still somewhat an amateur), and I got wind of Pop being talked about as a perfume that smells like Barbie dolls. I checked the notes, saw tuberose, and bought a bottle straight away. Unfortunately, Pop does not smell like Barbie dolls to me, but it does smell familiar to something from my younger years. Maybe a fragrance my mom used to wear, or even a fragrance I had that I've since forgotten? It's a very pretty musky tuberose, and I will be wearing this scent a lot. However, I'll still be searching for a more plasticky, true Barbie doll scent.

Eribert

I blind-bought this for various reasons:
1) interesting notes (tomato leaf, fragipani)
2) reviews that claimed how much this smelt like Barbie heads ( I love plasticky fragrances)
3) because of how much I enjoy the rose perfume „Stella“
4) because „Pop“ has been discontinued

Yet, I am left moderately disappointed.
To me, „Pop“ smells 〜80% like „Minuit à New York“ by Gloria Vanderbilt. Just less gutsy.
It’s muskier and cleaner and frankly less interesting. It is a tuberose, but without any buttery or heavy or bubblegumy quality.

In the beginning, „Pop“ smells like a fragrance Barbie herself might use - a soft, clean, girly light floral. Later on, as the tuberose comes through, it turns fully „Minuit à New York“. In the last stage you get a lot of sandalwood which, together with the remnants of the tuberose, may slightly resemble plastic (if you try really hard to smell it), but doesn‘t do so very much.

All that being said, I guess I will use the bottle up anyway. It is, as many reviewers have written before me, a freshly-out-of-the-shower fragrance, which is something one does want now and then. However, I will not mourn the passing of this fragrance either. To me, it‘s on the lower end of ok.

Unless you are looking for a very save, very nondescript and very clean floral I cannot recommend this one. If you are looking for a feminine, uncomplicated tuberose at a great price, your money is better invested in a bottle of „Minuit à New York“ instead.

TL;DR: Clean, musky tuberose. No plastic.

Tlm93

I really love this purfume. It was a blind buy and I was nervous about the notes. I only like sweet purfumes I don't like to smell like flowers or anything like that I like to smell like sugar and candy🤣 with that said this purfume blew me away!!!!! It's so different then my typical purfumes I go for but it's absolutely beautiful 😍 it honestly just smells like a clean pretty girly girl who wears pink and loves make up . I can't stop smelling my wrist I'm literally in love . I would take the chance and just buy it! I don't see anyone not liking this purfume.

cookygirl

I tried this yesterday, my curiosity piqued by all the recent positive reviews here.
It is indeed nicer and more substantial a fragrance in terms of projection and longevity than I had imagined it would be.
As far as the scent itself goes, it does smell very similar to Kenzo's Jeu d'Amour but a bit less dense and slightly fresher.
I don't feel that for me it's a 'must have' but if I were just starting a collection I would probably purchase it.
Definitely good value. Lots of 'bang for the buck'.

ETA - so I actually have added this to my collection. I chanced upon a heavily discounted tester and FOMO got the better of me.

Chavezb3

When I first saw the notes, I thought the tomato was just a filler note and wasn’t really going to stand out. The first time I sprayed it, this was a tomato bomb. A full on tomato with stem and everything. Seemed very off putting at first, but trust me when I say you need to give it some time. Couple days later re-sprayed and the tomato note was still there but it somehow just worked. It was very nicely blended with the rest of the notes and I can say I’m OBSESSED!!! This is youthful, flirty but in a modest way. It’s giving me girl next door vibes dressed in pastels. Sooooo stunning. I love the look of the bottle but the sprayer does suck. It squirts out the perfume and sometimes the button to spray gets stuck, but I’m able to get past that because the scent and price are phenomenal!

Carriecola

Also a Ksenja fan here. I picked this up and at first did not love it. The DNA was too close to the harajuku lovers electric pop line at first smell.... I love Gwen Stefani, but that line is so blah and boring. Stella pop at first smells light. And almost boring. But then it hits you! That small whiff of nostalgia. Truly smells like barbie dolls- that smell always came out especially when I brought my dolls in the tub and pretended they were mermaids.
The longer this fragrance sits, personally on me it becomes warmer and almost... pinker. It starts to resemble Fantasy by Britney Spears... but lighter, green, floral. This is a beautiful scent that definitely deserves a wear to figure out how it sits. The atomizer is a little tricky. It takes a couple sprays before it ends that jet line stream it does. The smell is so lovely and unique that a funky atomizer doesn't matter to me. And the bottle looks so pretty on my shelf. Definitely a new favorite.

EauDeStank

A beautiful, light scent. Sweet, creamy, musky, inoffensive. However the atomizer is atrocious, it spits out a stream instead of a fine mist, so I have to decant it into an atomizer in order to use it. Other than that I would buy a backup of this perfume. Someone said it smells like hairspray and it kinda does actually lmao, but I'm into that.

bashoori

I LOVE this and I’m obsessed. I love its simplicity yet prettiness. It’s so sexy, fresh, feminine, sweet and just lovely.

Ghostx

I blind bought this and read many reviews saying how nostalgic this scent is. While I do get where this smells like barbies, I also get a whiff of a hairspray scent that I'm not liking initially. It makes me want to scrub it off, then the base notes save it for me hours in smelling okay. I'm torn on this one. The nostalgia is being tarnished by crispy hairspray.

Lunar88

The only complaints I have with this perfume is the atomizer ,it squirt's perfume rather than spray's it but the scent itself is very pleasant it reminds me of the late 90's early 2000's I get the green notes the floral notes a hint of musk all together making a hothouse fresh scent that surprisingly has good lasting power.

brvndxn

A very youthful modern scent. The perfect spring fragrance. Dries down into a woody floral. A definite crowd pleaser.

lihik

This is really lovely! The sprayer is shit, it keeps getting stuck in the cap and feels really cheap, but the juice inside is really nice and happy. I can't think of anyone not liking this, it is sweet but in a fresh and inoffensive way. It's young but not juvinile. Just really nice.

ksugrl79

I saw this perfu me talked about on YouTube by Ksenja. I ended up ordering 3 bottles on a whim. Best blind buy ever! Very fresh inoffensive everyday Signature fragrance for me. Reminds me of getting new barbies & the scent of them when you open that box, or getting a new baby doll. I've gotten SO many compliments on it.

caylamorris

This smells like Barbie Shoes. I don't know if it is the tomato in this, but when I smell this, it takes me back to my childhood playing with Barbie and her clothes. It is such an amazing scent and I will always buy this.

LolliMolly09

things that come to mind are fresh, fun, young, slightly aquatic, and sweet-- but this is not at all syrupy or heavy. it's lighthearted and i definitely get a hint of tomato plants--not tomatoes necessarily, but if you've ever grown tomato plants, they have this signature green scent that is pretty hard for me to describe. Green, a little earthy, but not at all woody or grassy. It's distinct. I feel like this would be a pretty safe blind buy for a casual daily wear for most ages. I think it would be fine for offices, running errands, doing whatever. I don't find it sexy at all, but just fresh and fun.

hexed

Smells like.... Hot Couture's underskirt.
Has a bit of that vaguely floral vibe that a lot of Korean and Japanese skincare scents have. Watery.

Edit: I don't get any plastic or rubberiness. It's fresh and floral, not like a garden but like a cleansing lotion or something. It really brings to my mind that kind of a pink cream-gel texture. I get something that remind me of a body mist I had as a pre-teen, I think, but it doesn't slip into childishness because it's so fresh. The longevity isn't great on skin.

Edit: Oh this is dewy! Is this what all those ozonic fragrances try to achieve?

Perfairy999

To my nose in the opening smells like a more diluted, grown up version of Viva la juicy, but only in the opening. After 5 minutes I really get the green note from the tomato leaf. It's a very easy grap perfume for spring.

Skinscents4Fusspots

The first smell of this was intense for a number of reasons! Firstly, I came for the tomato note as I love tomato perfumes, then I read the reviews saying the scent is fresh and light….. even green. I was surprised therefore by how pungent this perfume actually is! It was like being punched in the face by sweet Violets. I can’t find anything green or light about this, it’s strong and sweet and a little bit powdery. It gave me serious flashbacks to a perfume I had in the early 90s. I’m so annoyed that I can’t remember exactly what it was! It would have been Coty, body shop or Avon back then as I was 13 and on a tight budget! Not tribe…. Don’t think it was exclamation, wild musk or far away.... Ananya?! It’s still driving my 40 year old brain mad! I keep sniffing it and being transported back to the box room at my parents house and getting off with my first boyfriend (who had curtains and an undercut lol!) while listening to Nirvana! I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Stella deliberately recreated a long lost scent that she loved in her early 20s because although I’ve seen loads of young ladies claim this is a super original scent and like nothing else, I honestly think this is the smell of the early 90s! A lot of perfumes back then share the same vibe.

If any fellow middle agers recognise what this smells like please comment!

I want to smell the bluebell version now, in the hope it’s a bit fresher and greener than this one, because although I’m digging Stella pop, I think it’s probably too syrupy for me to actually wear.

Edit…. I grew to love Stella Pop but didn’t like the bluebell version!

LuckyMommy

Such an easy reach every day perfume.
I love it, it reminds me of the 90 s.
Its sweet, fresh, airy, green, floral, aquatic and fluffy.

jreyes366

I am positive I've left a review here for this fragrance but I felt that I owe it a more updated explanation of why I love this fragrance.

First, the tomato leaf and violet leaf come through strong right off the bat, leaving a lovely green but a bit powdery trail. As it heats up to the skin, the beautiful Tuberose comes to play and she isn't shy. She's not the star of the show, but more of a very integral part to this composition as a whole.

This is a floral fragrance with a bit of an aquatic feel, it's airy, green, fluffy, bright, and perfect for anyone who loves a beautiful long lasting floral.

I know people say this smells like doll heads. I guess I could kind of see that but mostly don’t. It’s a fresh, sweet, floral and smells like a prettier warmer version of magnolia blossom from BBW. You can’t actually smell tomato lol. I think it’s presence just lends a tad of greenness. Really a great fragrance for all year round. Could see it being a signature scent for someone.

eloisegirl

Great looking fun bottle but after multiple tries I just don't smell anything. It's going in the Donate pile. Glad to read that others have had better luck. Sometimes you just get a scent that does not show up on your person. That's perfume life!

MaxieF

This is really girly. Not sweet girly but just like a plasticy artificial floral scent. It smells like a clean girl that always has her hair and make up done. I don't get any Tuberose but I do Gardenia even though it's not listed. It smells like if victoria secret released a barbie inspired scent. I don't think it particularly smells barbies but it does have a plasticy sweetness. Especially more so in the dry down.

Fresh Wildflowers

So far so good. Just tried it for the first time yesterday. I sprayed it on a piece of paper and suddenly I am smelling a very similar smell to the one I smelled so many years ago when I opened a magazine containing an advertisement for Samsara... I am feeling the sandalwood and it is lovely!

amj5991

Smells like Barbie dolls lol

adelaidesandrina

So my mom uses the new herbal essences argan shampoo and i find stella pop to smell SO SIMILAR to it

Izzy78

Aware of not wanting to waste anyone's time- yes, I would agree with all the below reviews. To add some new perception to everything, in hot weather it smelt what other describe as Barbie dolls. To me it is the scent of perfumed little rubbers or erasers from when I was little, not sure if they sell them now as have no children. Bubble-gummy pink erasers for your pencils. That was a week ago in a warm weather (over 22 Degrees Celsius) after a shower, on fresh skin.

Today I have sprayed in in less than 20 Degrees environment, in the morning, 10 hrs after the shower. It has gained intensity both on my wrist and near ears areas, and actually is projecting better. Now this is not groundbreaking knowledge for any perfume it will be stronger on an oily skin, or change its character a bit. I was, however, going to leave the scent strictly for the summer, a nevermind, happy-clappy scent for when you don't care. I have to say it proves itself to be quite wearable in the autumn as well. I personally find it very elegant, not immature but rather romantic. Beautiful violets with a green tomato and shy musk, like a Japanese water garden or Monet water lillies. I will work on its longevity because I really like the composition, and so far have also found it layers (as a last touch) well with a caramely scent or amber scent underneath, perhaps some skin oil, for getting more pronouncement, or well after you showered to gain from skin oils. I try to give vegan scents a decent go, and I find some lack the longevity or sillage, though try to see what works.

Nanalvzpink

Update: 1/16/22 since my last review I gave my daughter half of the bottle. I sprayed it on her clothes (4-5 sprays) before she left to school. When she got back to the house and took off her jacket, the smell was very potent, as if she had just sprayed it. I underestimated the power of this one. Guess what I’m going to do now? Lol, I’m getting another bottle for her and I. This will stay in my collection.

8/05/21 This perfume is a safe blind buy. If you ever see it at Marshall’s, TJ, Burlington or Ross and you’re in the mood to try something new, YOU ARE SAFE to purchase this.

This perfume is pretty, but I won’t repurchase. Too many perfumes that I want to get to, the longevity and projection of this doesn’t make this a staple for me.
Please don’t let this shy you away from getting it, it’s a fresh scent, and it’s not uncommon for fresh scents to require to reapply.
I think all girlies need to experience this pretty floral.

LaLaPop75

Overall, violets and frangipani...dont let tomato leaf scare you because it's barely noticeable and gives a super subtle green tone. Girly, fun hot weather scent.

realitygreene

Stella McCartney POP is a good one if you like girly scents. I definitely get that "plastic doll" smell and I'm not mad about it. I enjoy this scent so much, it's just so pleasant to my senses. I've learned that I am a big fan of "floral woody" fragrances. Very happy that the projection is nice for such an inexpensive perfume. Unfortunately, though, the spray sucks on this fragrance, but it's still worth the cheap price. I know this is a fragrance that I will actually use up one day despite my large collection.

Adelamgarceo

One of the things that interested me about this perfume is how so many people said it smelled like "Barbie dolls". I don't remember Barbie dolls having any scent other than plastic, so I found the comparison very odd, but now I kind of understand. Upon smelling this I got a mix of Play-Doh, child's bubblebath, and yes, a hint of plastic - like those inflatable chairs every tween girl had in the 00's. I think the combination of all of those smells may bring a sense of nostalgia to millennials in particular. The fruity bubblebath smell eventually weakens and what's left is a subtle, plasticky sweetness. Who do I imagine wearing this? Elle Woods.

danygurl06

When I first sprayed it, I smelled a mix between a plastic doll and a 90s women’s perfume. At first, it reminded me of watching swirls of gold as I shaked a 24k Jivago bottle as a child. Give it about an hour or so and the perfume smell goes away. It’s magically transform into a Barbie doll. It smells like playing in a Barbie doll’s hair back in the 90s/early 2000s.

I’m not sure why I waited so long to try this one. I really enjoy this scent. I liked this type of smell as a child and I also like it as an adult. What I enjoy most is that it’s not sharp or piercing to the nose. Most fragrances like this hurt my nose and I can’t handle them. It’s a clean smell.

perfume_angel

this smells like peach lipgloss, shampoo and barbie dolls. I love it!!!

enquail

Based off the notes, I thought I would like this fragrance: I have a couple violet fragrances I find addicting, and I love the smell of tomato plants. A strange combination perhaps, but solid components. In practice, I mostly just get "plastic doll" and some fine but boring florals. I can smell the violets, and I believe they're what lend the sort of "makeup" and "twinkling/fizzing" associations I've seen in other reviews (however, this execution lacks the charm I've come to expect with that note). No cedar or sandalwood detectable on me, unfortunately. I think I understand the intended role of the tomato leaf here--to push the florals a little green and add some "edge"--but to me the contrast ends up canceling out the definition of both floral and green notes, contributing to the vague synthetic overtone.

By the second hour mark, the florals fade into the backdrop and the tomato leaf makes a more prominent appearance. However, I still needed to lift my wrist about 6" from my nose to smell anything. The scent was entirely gone within 5 hours for me.

SapphireSun

After having sampled and read the comments below, I agree you do get a shampoo smell, a plastic doll smell and I can definitely smell the tomatoes leaf. This is a very light scent, fruity and vegetable smell. Because of the combination of tomatoes and plastic it makes me feel a bit nauseous. I'd say it's definitely a summer or spring scent. It's pleasant but unfortunately it's not for me, I don't enjoy it enough to go and buy a bottle. It will make many others happy but it's just not to my taste this one, sorry Stella PoP 💗

StinkyTinky

No tomato, and I’m not disappointed. I really just get the mandarin, violet, musk and frangipani. Smells like a fragrance from the early 2000’s. It’s pleasant, feels similar to a Kenneth Cole reaction maybe? It’s been so long since I’ve had that one in my collection- I can’t recall with certainty. But they do share the mandarin, violet and musk.
It’s a like from me for sure, happy I have it and don’t regret the blind buy.
WISH it smelled like bcbg girls metro....it just doesn’t to me unfortunately...

elegantshnozzie

After seeing this bottle enough at tjmaxx, bealls, burlington etc. my interest peaked. After looking into the notes and seeing "tomato leaf" I couldn't help but be curious.

This perfume is light, fresh, sweet, and synthetic in a playful way. I cannot see anyone smelling this and being offended or recoiling. Recently I have been after fragrances that sing to the "dollhead" "playdough" "old cosmetic" vibe and this one has a very subtle ode to early 2000's dolls, glitter body sprays and so on. But very subtle. There is only a very fine line between this fragrance and a run of the mill VS body spray, but that subtlety is what sets it over into something I enjoy.

PS
i am not familiar with tomato leaf but there is a subtle sting to the fragrance.. wonder if thats the tomato leaf making its guest appearance..

shesgottabuyit

This is a soft floral girlie frag all the way. A shy girl's fragrance, but a grown woman could pull this off too. There's a little fruity vibe in the opening but it doesn't last long (I do think the tomato leaf lingers and gives it that "pop" if you will). PLEASANT is what comes to mind when I spray this. Nothing spectacular or particularly original in scent but it smells so, well pleasant, I'm glad I got a full bottle for the low! I find the Sillage to be pretty intimate but I remember a coworker complimenting this scent twice so somebody will smell ya! Something I'd grab before running errands or a nice chill bike ride.

kyl77

I have this and the Pop Bluebell. I actually like the Pop Bluebell better, but this is nice too. I would say this is a "pink" fragrance. It's a bright citrus floral with some woodiness in the dry down. I think Pop is a good name for it, because it's bright and lively like Pop music itself. The longevity for this one is only around a couple of hours and the sillage is quite intimate. The Pop Bluebell fairs better. The bottle is very nice with super heavy glass, but the spray head is for the birds. The 1.0 ounce bottle of Pop retails for $50.00 dollars, but deals can be found on the internet. I do love this fragrance, but I would really have to think about it first before investing in another bottle just because of the longevity factor. I am happy that I bought the bottle I have now, though. Definitely worth trying once.

countrynoodle

I really adore this because it is very nostalgic for me. It seems so familiar but I can't quite put my finger on it. It is a very fruity floral but there is this unique synthetic plastic-y type scent that I get when I first spray this. It honestly reminds me of Barbie dolls (so weird i know) but I really like it. It's very fruity floral but from the 90s. The more it dries down the more it reminds me of the L'Oreal for kids no tear shampoo, the one that has the little eye on the bottle. It is not overly immature or overly mature. It can definitely be worn at the office and it will not offend anyone because it is not a strong scent by any means. The lasting power is not great but I see this can be found for pretty reasonable prices at places like TJ Maxx and Marshalls. I'm impressed and glad that I picked it up.

Holli

Smells very nice and the floral is the usual beachy feel, but I snagged it hoping for a great tomato moment... I smell zero tomato and not really even anything green? I like it, but it's very sweet and nothing unique on me. Hum.

ekowala7

I received a 30mL bottle of this fragrance in a trade and was pleasantly surprised. This is a fresh, soft fragrance with the brightness of the tomato leaf coming in. This is unexpectedly sweet as well. There is something artificial that I pick up on, as well - almost like the smell of a little girl's doll - that sweet smelling plastic-y pretty girly smell.

Longevity is moderate on me, I can get 4-5 hours if I layer with a body oil or lotion. Silage is soft.

Overall 4.5/10 - happy to have received it inexpensively but won't be repurchasing. Happy to have it for a hot summer's day.

natfran98

I've had this perfume for a couple of years, a big 100ml bottle, that I had just barely used. I've started wearing it again and I've gone from thinking it's nice to absolutely craving this scent. I can definitely smell the tomato leaf, which is complimented by a very subtle mandarin. It doesn't really smell citrusy, just juicy and sweet. The tomato leaf is also more noticeable in warm weather I've noticed. I've heard people compare this fragrance to Barbie Dolls due to a nostalgic 90's plastic vibe, which I imagine is the tuberose (which can have a slight synthetic sweetness to it) and violet (which is slightly powdery and reminiscent of cosmetics). I personally smell the Frangipani more which is fresh, sweet and almost tropical fruity at certain angles.
It's just a shame that the longevity isn't brilliant and the sillage is very close to the skin. The bottle also has an absolutely terrible atomiser pump, it comes out as one thick stream rather than a spray! Causes so much waste. Overall it's a really light and airy perfume with sweet floral, fruity and slightly powdery nuances.

ingridrivero

Blind purchase, and I regret it. There is something about the mixture of the tomato leaf and white musk and wood that makes me naseous.

Duft Liebe

Lovely, sweet-fruity, modern dayscent - with so, so poor lastingpower, that I am giving it away. And an anoying spray head (maybe only mine ?).

What a pitty for such a well made scent.

Swedelish

Chemical sweet fruits, screechy musk & iso-e super. Smells like plastic and a teenage rave.

It's nothing like my love, BCBG Metro. Metro was a harmonious blend and POP is a mess (imo).

Could have passed as a Gucci Rush flanker instead.

ErinSullivanBeauty

Based on the reviews, I'm pleasantly surprised by this little perfume! I got it pretty cheap on Mercari. The opening has a very fun and flirty, fruity, sweet scent that I'm digging. It kind of reminds me of the scent of some shampoo I used to have in the 90s - I can't put my finger on it, though! I don't really want to call this "youthful" because it doesn't necessarily seem too "young" for certain women (I'm 30+ for reference) - it just seems like it's fitting for a warm spring day. I was confused by the Barbie comments...until the drydown. Then, yeah, Barbie - but I kind of dug that. So hey, more 90s! Anywho, this had moderate lasting power but the projection was oddly strong on me. I see it's not on most, but I was in the literal ocean today and people could smell it on me. THE. OCEAN. Final verdict - you can find this gem for so cheap now, and it's such a generally innocent, pretty scent that I think it's worth the buy if you're thinking of it.

Lauren528

I have a full bottle up for swap. If you loved bcbg metro you will like this! Pm me!

diamond74

I saw this on clearance at tjmaxx for $12. If you like Jessica Simpson Signature perfume, you will like this. Cute bottle....

Lučanská

I finished cleaning with my mother in law and she let me spray this as it was gifted to her one summer. She usually owns really nice scents to I decided to try it as the bottle is so pretty.......i hate it. So synthetic and powdery fake smelling. It smells to cheap and is giving me a headache. Yuck.

missjudged

Bought this from a Burlington for pretty cheap, about $15. I like it, it makes a good summer scent. I can mostly smell the tomato leaf, as well as some sort of underlying sweetness that keeps the scent itself very feminine. I like it, and I intend to wear it during the coming summer months. Definitely a skin scent though.

gtabasso

This is watered down powdery nothingness. These notes should pack a punch. They whimper. There MUST be vanilla in this. All I smell is vanilla. So, it's a tiare flower that you wouldn't recognize unless someone told you, some tomato leaf to temper it and give it some green, musk, sandalwood. That's it. Oh, and violet that you can't recognize as violet but that functions as iris in this to make it powdery/lipstick. For the $8 I paid, I feel like I overspent. It's nice. Inoffensive. Pretty. Mainstream. In the final base it smells honestly like vanilla orchid, pepper and sandalwood with white musk.

muncierobson

This reminded me of ‘Radiance’ by Britney Spears, the tuberose is light but still carries that bubblegum vibe! It’s nice!

A soft, sweet and airy scent, easy to wear and feels warm and cosy. Sandalwood present but does not dominate. There’s a hint of something tangy... perhaps from frangipani though it’s hard to detect specifically.

Moderate lasting and very soft... available cheaply online so no problem respraying to maximise the scent.

Packaging made from recycled/sustainable sources and the bottle is beautiful!

This fragrance is suitable for vegans (contains no animal products or their derivatives) and is cruelty free (well done Stella for avoiding unnecessary testing by choosing not to sell any of her fragrances in China).

Well done Stella!

IzzyB

Very similar to Hugo Boss Woman. I wanted doll heads and Barbie dolls. At least the nice Barbie case scent. Those new Barbie carriers smelled so good. I'm exchanging because I have Hugo Woman.

Leashareneex

I only really seem to smell the frangipani note which i like but it does not last at all.

sopz

Liked it but has very poor longevity

meg0825

I received a sample of this and I'm in love! The tomato leaf note is so unique and unmistakable. You definitely get some of the fleshy tomato fruit, but it's greener and less sweet. This combined with heady tuberose and plumeria is just gorgeous. I need this in my life!

princessmorbux

Tomato leaf is the leading role here. Sometimes when I wear this, it smells super unique and wonderful. Other times, it reminds me of how my mom's purse used to smell.

This fragrance is blended nicely. It's very contemporary. It's 'cool' for lack of a better word. It's young but it doesn't smell like a generic girl at the mall. It has a slight edge or attitude. I'm on my second bottle, though if I'm being honest, I'm not sure why I repurchased. It's nothing remarkable.

This lasts all day on me and the dry down is very sweet. It loses it's edge after about 4 hours

perfumehopper_in_JPN

Like sophisticated victoria's Secret perfume.
I like both.

Spirit Rose

I’ve only smelled it on paper, but to me it was a pleasant bubble gum scent. I wanted to buy it for two children, but could not ship it. Although it would be a great choice for children just getting into perfume, I don’t think it’s juvenile, but rather playful and light hearted. It’s not a complex scent, but easy to wear for casual days.

Pinja

What? White flowers, violet and tuberose? Wouldn't have guessed.
I put this on without knowing anything about the notes, and the whole day I thought I was wearing a red berries scent with a light musk and amber dry down.

perfumes_addict

One word: boring. I was expecting so much from this perfume, considering the positive reviews on this page, but ended up disappointed. The perfume is extremely generic and smells like nothing in particular and like many other generic perfumes at the same time. This one reminds me of Lanvin Marry me which I ended up giving it away to a friend, due to the lack of personality of the perfume. I am definitely returning the perfume and buy something more original.

I agree with one of the reviews here: it is like a fizzy drink but forgettable generic scent; it starts off strong then fades away fast.

Rodween

This smells like BARBIE'S!! Literally!
And I LIVE for it!! Yaaasss. I have to get a bottle soon. ugh.

tk2423

My new absolute fav this smells so playful yet sophisticated, so many compliments when i wear, the woodys dry down sets amazingly with my body chemistry, I recommend spraying this against your skin rather than clothing for best result

aconeyisland

Warm soft skin scent for daily wear, a shy tuberose based one with something that I perceive as a vynil note at the end (pop style requires its dose of plastic after all). I would never have chosen Pop for myself but I wear it with ease and appreciate it for not being too enthusiastically loud and sweet.
No great projection but there’s a good staying power, especially if used in combo with its cream. Gifted me by my mother who thought it was in some way unkind of me having a collection full of McCartney’s LP and then forgetting to support his daughter (“…poor Stella!” she said).

scentist

I agree that it is bland but there is something in it that draws me to it. Works well as an office scent.

jinjun

It barely has any scent. When you smell it upclose it's a really simple slightly citrusy smell. I bought it bc it's one of the very few cruelty-free companies, otherwise I wouldn't have. Not worth the money, but oh well can't buy from companies that test on animals.

dglightblue

humid summer test on skin and card.

this isn't poppy and young, it has an enjoyable plastic rubber eraser note which I like, floral, the eraser note might be what tuberose is...?

not sweet sweet, there's a layer or soft floral sweetness, bitterness which is very thin luckily, I have both pop and the new purple pop on at the same time and I can smell the relationship.

rounded, warmish, floral, clean,

EDIT
its now still hot afternoon, this has gone softly bitter ish. not horrible but its just what some white florals do on me personally

Skayalily

I spent hours with this in the crook of my arm thinking, trying to remember what it smells like. And finally! Love & Sunshine from BBW. It's nice, bright and youthful. And slightly better longevity than a body spray. But at that price, it should be a lot better than a body spray.

blackmartini

Eh. I like it. It's...nice. Pleasant. Youthful, playful and quite inoffensive. However, the drydown smells quite artificial to me, borderline magic tree air freshner. Kind of surprised there is no peach in this though?

allumez

@veryhydrating: I would recommend you to try Tresor in Love by Lancome or Jeu dAmour by Kenzo. They're in the same tuberose family as this one. Another option, half the price but still awesome is Balmain Extatic the Eau de Toilette.

veryhydrating

I love the opening of this perfume but apparently some people say it's cheap and generic. If that's the case, can I get recommendations for similar perfumes, preferably ones with better longevity than this one?

cake n' cuddles

I'm not sure what went on here, but the first time I smelled POP in stores I completely loved it!
I got a POP mini as a point reward from sephora and was very eager to wear it.
Wearing it though, I feel like I have rubbed myself all over with a magazine floral perfume strips like I did 10 years ago when I was a teen.
It's a strangely nostalgic and generic smell, but not that wonderful to me. I think I got a ton of RL romance and vera wang lovestruck perfume strips around that time. It's odd I swear I can smell paper and glue in here like those magazine pages.
A little trippy for me, but I can't say I'd buy this once I use up my mini.

Eridanshay1

To me this just is so "meh"...I could take it or leave it. It is a light fizzy floral. On my skin the tuberose barely makes an appearance. It smells rather like a sweet and lovely 1990's shampoo scent. I only have a small tester and I am glad I tried it out before making a purchase. I would say this would make a nice, refreshing summer or even spring/vacation scent. I do like the name "POP", since it does have a fizzy or effervescent quality to it, however as far as longevity goes, the name "FLOP" also could have been a contender as it lasts approximately 34 minutes. On me it stays close to the skin and smells very similar to Chance hair mist. This is a scent you could wear very inoffensively to an office, church, or event as it wears like a nice body spray. Just an all around enjoyable, non-descript floral.

PerfumeKing14

this is very light & even with a heavy hand on me it didn't last that long. it's a nice clean, simple scent i just wish it was stronger & i'd buy a bottle.

OlfactoryLover

I love fragrances with a story behind them. When Stella was young her father brought her a bottle of Giorgio Beverly Hills which she treasured so much. This inspired her to create this fragrance. I do get a little Giorgio vibe with the tuberose but it smells much more modern and fresher. A friend of mine fell in love with this fragrance and it has such a unique smell it reminds me of her every time I spray it. Suitable for all ages in my opinion. If you love fresh florals or are fed up of all of the fruity and gourmand ones out there on the market then perhaps give this one a try. You may like it.

bailbo

I do love this. Its unpretentious, happy and effervescent. There is something about the fruity note that makes me nostalgic for scented toys from the 80s.

UnearthlyApothecary

Stella Pop is a fresh bubblegum tuberose with frangipani and a little violet and sandalwood thrown in. It has a tropical/ doll head vibe and it's actually pretty great. The silage is kinda sad though and I'm afraid for the longevity. It reminds me quite a bit of Avon Far Away. If this performed better I would buy it in a heartbeat, but the price is a bit high for a scent that performs this poorly.

Beadvised

It's alright the dry down is somehow stronger in the floral aspect. I totally get coconut oil smell from this fragrance. Just okay for me. It's very forgettable.

jayde_x

Bubblegum flowers with an interesting herbal freshness. Unique and unlike anything else in the Stella line, or anywhere for that matter. The bottle is so pretty and heavy, lasts for ages. Longevity is good and sillage OK...the only thing I wish for is more silage.

crossfitqueen

I have it , I looove it BUT doesn't last at all! Too bad because it's a really really nice scent. Definitely a retro, brings me back my 90's memories. Also for some reason reminds me of the Avon's late ninery's perfume; Millenial. I just wish it lasted long...

Noveight

This smells like creamy, floral, tuber rose to me. I love it, but I can't smell the other notes..

artisy

A lady with candy colored hair is wearing a vinyl applique jacket and drinking a strawberry basil Italian soda while driving one-handed in a vintage convertible. The music blasting is electronica. She embraces pastels, pop culture and current trends but never forgets who is in the driver's seat (of the car she restores and maintains herself).

A lot of people read this as youthful and indeed it is, but with a modern vibe! It's fun and bright with an interesting synthetic zing. That violet leaf keeps it sweet and innocent while the tomato leaf gives it a playful edge.

chinook

Is this what millennials smell like? Is this what Grimes smells like? I'd imagine Grimes smell like any hardworking musicians who toured nonstop: sweat and alcohol residue. But no, it's extremely sweet in the bottle, very likable. It's quiet on the skin and very girly. It's something i imagine the popular girls in high school or college would smell like. It's a socially acceptable scent, but doesn't really stand out. I would wear it to the office. By the way, I love Grimes. Went to sephora for a sample just to smell like the commercial with my favorite it-girl.

rhinarivera

Very fresh scent, i love it.

ashypie2004

Why am I getting a lactonic vibe from this...a creaminess I don't have the perfume expertise to explain? Is it the violet and sandalwood? This scent strikes me as quite unique, plus it lasts an absolute AGE on my skin, and literally lasts weeks on my clothes/coat. I don't get any fruit or sweet in this. It's all floral and creaminess. I can imagine this getting headache-y if oversprayed. Applied sparingly I see this as a rebellious Spring fragrance for someone who doesn't mind standing outside the crowd.

celebrity89

This has the same green/produce section vibe of Jlo Glowing. I don't find it that girly.

Arielrose

Tuberose is one of those notes that I've always WANTED to love, but usually don't because it's super strong and can be overpowering in anything it's added to. I was curious to smell this fragrance and went to my local Sephora to get a sample. I have to say it's truly gorgeous! The Tuberose is blended to perfection and the other notes compliment it perfectly so it never gets too intense. It's a 'fruity-floral' which is usually the kiss of death because it's a genre that's very overdone - however, this one is unique and stands out from the pack. And I have tried a crazy amount of this variety! ;)
Many people say this is a young or teenage scent, but I wouldn't say that's true. It feels appropriate for any age range in my opinion because it's bright and fresh, yet a little deep with just enough note complexity to keep it interesting and has a nice level of sophistication. I think anyone from a young lady to an older lady could wear this and it would suit them just fine!
My only complaint is that I do wish the longevity was better, it wears more like an EDT than an EDP and it would be great if it cost a little less.

pearlbelle

This is the most unusual perfume in my collection, but in a very good way.
I was always going to love the bottle, the cap is pink and shiny, two characteristics that always turn my head. Judging by the notes, I was expecting something floral, a little bit green. What I actually got, was the smell of the Barbie dolls I played with as a child, in a pleasant and pleasing way! I fell in love......... then something even stranger happened...... the plastic smell turned into this tropical cocktail smell! Given that the notes definitely didn't scream 'tropical' to me, I was quite surprised!
If you like make up like smells, you'll like this. It's a good spring daytime scent!

mutintabailey

Young fruity fresh and original I do not see any other perfume that is on the market like this. It is a fun and fresh smell that admittedly you have to keep re spraying but I have received a good amount of comments at how lovely I smell
I adore POP.

dglightblue

Just an observation
I smelled the nozzle of this one in store and I thought it was very sweet, like fruity premix alcoholic drinks. I didn't try in skin as I had others to try that day.

regnflickan

On My skin this starts out with a nice scent of tuberose and cedarwood. Unfotrunately it soon turns into a very syntethic smell. Maybye its My skin but the drydown on this was so bad that i had to scrub it of. It suprised me because i usually like tuberose and sandalwood.

Nataliemarie

I LOVE this one!I have most of the Stellas. I cannot put my finger on the berry note I get, but it's just what my nose gets! Unlike anything I own at all. I got a sample at Sephora last week & was right in the on the Early Access VIB rouge sale day snatching it up!! Yummy! It does last on me, but, I spray my chest neck clothes & hair in one blast. It is addicting!! Highly recommend if you are looking something that doesn't resemble of the the Juicy Couture fragrances & the *Smell alikes* out there..

Arlene-Beatrix

It's nice, but it barely smells. I can recognize mandarin, violet, frangipani and musk. I cannot smell much of tuberose and it's good, as I rarely like this note.
All in all, elegant, floral scent.

Addict2Perfume

Pop by Stella McCartney smells like the 90’s to me! I had some other fragrance in the 90’s that smelled just like this! It’s fresh and sporty very on trend to what the girls were wearing back in 1997. Makes me think of Capri pants, mini backpacks, halter tops, and The Rachel hair cut. To me this scent is not too complex, it smells like sweet green tuberose and soft sandalwood. Definitely an easy to wear scent, I just wish it was not so light because to me this is EDT not EDP concentration! Maybe we will get an intense version that has more staying power? Love the fun girly bottle!

hadassa

Generic fresh floral which could have been nice and wearable if not for this terrible cheap-synthetic-woods undertone that emerges in ten minutes after spraying on the skin.

I enjoy many kinds of synthetic ingredients, including synth-woods, not only because there is no much choice as almost everything on the market is man-made, but also because there really are kinds of non natural wood substitutes in perfumery that simply smell good.

But not this stuff! Peppery stale generic cedar-sandalwood, oh please.

When I first sprayed this on I did not like it at all. But after half an hour it had dried down to a really nice sweet and warm scent, but still in a fresh kind of way. The scent actually made me happy and cheerfull and I thought of summer. To me it is a daytime scent and one you have to get close to a person to smell.
On me this smells exactly like BOSS Woman from HUGO BOSS I had many years ago.

gamme82

lovely its eau d'eden 2.0 and somewhat a little bit like gucci bamboo.... i really like it. only down side is longevity, its around 4 hours, sillage moderate.
although Ive smelled it similar before I dont find it generic, I love the bottle it got a 90s kinda vibe to it, the metallic colors was IN and spaceman was jamming on the radio.

perrfumefreak

I want to edit my review below. Although I still love this fragrance its really weak. I find myself wanting it to just smell stronger but it doesn't. If it had been stronger it would have been excellent. Its still good though, it just starts out weaker than I like and fades too fast. I like a moderate sillage and this doesn't have that. Its too bad because it is so well made , just missing some punch and longevity.

perrfumefreak

This scent is a winner. A sample was gifted to me by a fellow fragrantician and I couldn't have been more happy, as I wanted desperately to try this one. I'll start by saying I am a big tuberose fan but in this composition , tuberose is not loud, its a soft, gentle tuberose. The sweet notes are also lovely without being loud. Its very well blended and I give Stella major respect for making suck a well crafted scent that includes a light tuberose suitable for ladies of all ages, but geared toward young women. Its a beautiful scent.

mothwings

This is the scent of pink. I mostly get bubblegum flowers, fresh musk, and warm sandalwood. It is smooth, light, and pleasant. I was afraid to try anything tuberose but this is heavenly. It is not strong or in your face but also fades quickly--and that is the only issue. Sometimes I felt like it could be a love, but really it is just a like. Because while I do love the scent, it is WAY too weak. I really wish it projected more, or at all. Longevity is OK but a skin scent is not what I want. Pop should have been called Poof, cause not long after you spray it--poof it's gone, where did it go? Oh, it's a skin scent. I should be able to actually detect my perfume without having to burrow my nose into my shirt or arm.

rinz09

It smells like Barbie dolls and soap.

Stella McCartney's Stella was my first fragrance love, and the original formula is still, to me, the golden standard as far as rose scents go. With Stella, they ensured that I would at least *try* every fragrance offering from the house of Stella McCartney.

They also ensured that I would be disappointed.

Given L.I.L.Y. and Pop, I kind of feel like Stella McCartney should just keep the original fragrance (Stella) and call it a day. Stella is a gorgeous masterpiece. Both L.I.L.Y. and Pop are wishy-washy and nondescript to me, and both dry down to something that could be anything.

Case in point - Pop apparently reminds someone of Hot Couture by Givenchy, and someone else of Ivoire by Balmain. I challenge you to find me two fragrances that are less similar than these two.

Scentwise, it's a nice enough floral in the style of Daisy (transparent and airy) that won't offend, but won't impress. Ideal to wear to places where you shouldn't be wearing perfume.

esteban747

At first spray, sweet.
Tuberose, frangipangi and something else, like a syrupy berry.
Then it gets slightly woody and green with the violet leaf and sandalwood.
For a while it keeps the duality of fruity/floral and Woody/green.
I'm not sure about this fragrance, something in it screams 'cheap' and 'attention grabber'. You will definitely get noticed. But to me this is a no. Unless you spray just a tiny amount and leave the house knowing that you don't need to bath in this perfume to get noticed.
Just try it. The dry down is better, refined and not as loud as the opening.

MysticRose

I don't normally tend dabble in overly sweet and fruity fragrances but this has a refined powdery freshness to it. It feels like I've just bitten into a crisp, juicy and ripe green apple, it's extremely mouthwatering and tantalising. Love. It. It is somewhat similar to Balmain's Ivoire!

erica.andruscavage

It is easy to tell that this is targeted towards Millennials due to its polite, smells like the paper you sprayed it on, feel. Fades fast and is a waste of money. Disappointing considering I love Stella and Lily. :(

ScarlettX

A good fresh white floral scent and nothing more.
Not so good at first sniff, but it develops into better and lighter version in an hour or so.
Ordinary and light, reminds me of Marc Jacobs Daisy line a little bit.
It's so cool, that Stella's scents are available in my home country now.

Siv7Stars

Headachey meh with a greenhousey undertone which I presume is the tomato leaf. Why this should appeal to millenials is anyone's guess. I judge it a mess and label it MEH2. I suppose actually it does capture the essence of a 'free spirit', in that it's all over the place, a bit pointless, doesn't have anything coherent to say and needs to sort itself out rather than inflicting it's nonsense on other people.

OTA Mom

Unimpressed by this as by all previous SM creations. Too strong and the notes don't work well together.

Lettukestit

What is wrong with me? I adore tangy tomato leaves and mandarin but this.. this is just stuffy and heavy. Because of this I was sure it had patchouli (which I have earlier identified as being very offensive to my senses), but no. So possibly it's the fraginpani? Either way, a huge disappointment, but I am willing to admit this is just me.

polkadot27

I do get tomato leaf/vine strangely which is rather pleasant, But i do not detect tuberose. I get sandalwood and some white bland floral. I don't know about this one. It doesn't smell cheap, it does seem well blended, it is not chemical like. But it is just a miss for me. It smells safe and done before. I wouldn't purchase it if Im honest. Not even if it were cheap.

miletas89

smells like a victoria's secret store. smells "good."

snel hest

What in bonkers happened here??? It smells like some kind of generic synthetic sweet shampoo! This is such a huge letdown considering how Stellas other fragrances has always held good quality!

blake.lee

I saw this at Sephora today and had no idea what the notes were. I sprayed it on the back of my hand and immediately though it smelled like tomatoes on the vine. The tomato leaf is strong at first and is accompanied by some other notes that smell like red currant. Then it stops being interesting and becomes a generic fruity scent. It doesn't last long either.

Aspendina

This smells so young, fresh, clean and fun I just want to bathe in it.

Sassygirl18

Very fruity and girly and smells a lot like Vera Wang's Pink Princess.

Germany

Pop is a very fresh, pleasant , sweet , shampoo smell to me. I absolutely adore it , to the point where I could not wait and ordered it from the Stella site where I ended up paying double , as I had to pay duty and the exchange rate to Canadian $ isn't pretty. Anyways it's worth it to me !
It right from the start reminded me of boss nuit in the tall black bottle. I looked and it has many notes in common.
The more I smell Pop I can really smell the two components that it's meant to smell like , the tuberose and the sandalwood. In a very light , fresh and fluffy , airy sweet way those two get enhanced by peachy , frangipani , fruity , & violet very fresh and uplifting notes.
I could spray my whole body with this and then some ! The more I spray it the more I smell the sandalwood ! Big love for me. But my sample came to an end , thanks genny17. , now I have to wait for my very expensive bottle !

It's been over a week that I had Pop and I love the smell , it's so easy to wear and likeable. The only drawback is that it doesn't last. It's very fleeting and in this 1 -1/2 weeks i am a quarter done my bitter already. It's not an evening scent or a statement fragrance. It's a daytime fragrance that just smells really good ! Bottle will be empty in no time !

Shwets

It has that nina ricci (red apple bottle) vibe. Like a fizzy drink but forgettable generic scent. Starts off strong then fades away fast.

ginger68

Pretty, joyful, young! I usually hate tuberose and I’m not in love with flowery scents, but this fragrance is a little exception. For sure it’s not a piece of art, but when I smelled it on my wrist I went back and I felt myself young and playful. It’s a fruity-flowery fragrance with a touch of happiness that makes me smile.
No dramatic aspects, no seductive aura, but colour and joy!

auroramaria

Oh how lovely this fragrance is! Got a sample and will get a botlle soon.
It's a fresh and sweet scent very mature in my opinion the tuberose is quite prominent while sandalwood gives a powdery feel. It's sweeter than I expected maybe the frangipani has something to do with it.Sillage and longevity both very good.
If you like floral fruity with carachter this is a must try

genny17

Bought it blind, I was worried about the tuberose and the woodsy notes, I didn't need to be
This smells great, I love the smell , top notes are fresh then it gets floral quite fast but the tuberose is young and fresh mixing in nicely with a soft woodsy undertone. I love the smell!! It is modern yet manages to smell high class!! Generic it isn't at all. A mix of classy and fresh,, a hint of natural sweetness, I get an undertone of violets in the heart too!!
My only issue is the projection !! A bit frustrated as I have sprayed it three times already , but I get delightful whiffs of it here and there!!
Still I will just get a bigger bottle
I am delighted with Pop!! Nice scent!!
Update: bought a bigger bottle, the scent is plainly addictive !!

Okay - took me way too long to get to Sephora and try this one out...

Overall, I think this is nothing to get in a tizzy over. Kinda weird that this seems to have gotten such negative feedback simply because of its "youthful" approach. Flowerbomb, anyone? Daisy Eau So Fresh? Sheesh, let's move on already. There is no degenerate class of perfume lovers. We love what we love. End of story.

It immediately wears soft and fruity, but it's tart-fruity (mandarin)! Not sure about the tomato leaf, as it's never been a note in any of my other fragrances but I'm sure it added something I just couldn't quite detect.

One of the first associations I got with this was gummi candy, mostly the tart and fruity combination. It's not a syrupy sweet, but it felt candy-like to me, which I am totally about so it didn't ~offend~ me or make me feel like I was being marketed to as though I had no taste. This is a very happy, fun scent and certainly made well!

After the green mandarin, it stays sunny and becomes a bit more floral - frangipani and tiny hints of tuberose come forward. The tuberose is not a massive, buttery mess -- I've had a few bad encounters with tuberose that induce a sort of nauseating effect but this was not in your face or over the top tuberose.

Sandalwood and musk were more prominent than the cedar or violet to my nose but it definitely is a well rounded, simple scent.

It had this sort of soft buzz underlying from start to finish.. invigorating without being sharp. Longevity feels moderate, depending on how much you spray. For me about 5 hours with one spritz on my hands and wrists.

Don't expect this to be the holy grail of perfumery or some profound experience. Walk in without expecting the world and you might enjoy the experience Pop has to offer.

She's bright, sunny and doesn't take itself too seriously. As many other respectable simple scents do, too!

Bought a bottle after wearing for about an hour and realizing it's the perfect counter to some of my more serious scents. You know, for the days I'd rather not take life so seriously ;)

Notes from Sephora site:

Tomato Leaves, Violet Leaves, And Green Mandarin

Violet, Tuberose, Plumeria, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, & Musks.

Style:
Bright. Contemporary. Positive.

Trying this weekend then reporting back! Soooooo curious!

RubyBirdy

Quite sweet and fruity. Definitely more notes than just sandalwood and tuberose. Something in it was rather like peach or apricot to my nose. An unremarkable, generic, young fruity-floral - expected better from Stella McCartney.

mpbrown

I cannot wait to try this one!
