I had a sample of this. On me, it smells fairly similar to This Is Her! (which is one of my favourites) but with a masculine woodsy twist and isn't so sweet. I like it but I love This Is Her! more. However, I think This Is Us! is more suitable for all occasions than the feminine lactonic sweetness of This Is Her! If I find it on sale for a good price I might buy it.

Btw, I don't get how some reviewers say it smells like cookies. On me it's nothing like that, it's a clean woodsy vanilla, not a gourmand at all.

Storchys

This scent is absolutely amazing. I'm totally smitten with it... if you're a fan of vanilla chai lattes... it's spot on. However, its projection and longevity are lacking. Initially, there's a lovely aroma of vanilla and cinnamon. As time passes, the fragrance mellows, revealing notes of sandalwood and musk. It's a perfect scent for spring or for layering with something delicate and sweet.

Queen_esther

Delicious playful flirty gingersnap cookie, amazing longevity and projection for an edt. Got multiple compliments all times ives worn it.
Highly recommend layering it with mod Vanilla or this is her. Something fluffy and creamy. Makes it smell like gingersnap with ice cream.

artsyellie

This is going back.
Don't get me wrong, this is a beautiful perfume, very cozy and adequate, but it smells absolutely horrible on me.
I got some on the sleeve of my shirt when I was testing it and it's very pretty non-sweet unisex vanilla - very similar to Dior's Addict.
However on my skin it turned very strange. Initially the opening was harsh, and reminded me of vitamin C citrus tablets, very medicinal.
After it dried down I can sense the beautiful sandalwood and vanilla, but it was very masculine, and still underlined the medicinal salty note.
Not for me, but I can see it smelling beautiful on someone else.

miamiipeach

This reminds me of vanilla chai latte. Really love wearing this perfume in the fall/winter season. Cozy, creamy and ‘warm’. Great for everyday use.

gusduvall

It opens up as a strong mysterious and enigmatic vanilla. And then it dries off to something that is disgustingly beautiful, sweet, innocent but devilish. And trust me, I’m not a big fan of sweet scents but this tops all of that. It’s a fun and intense fragrance. NOT a massive crowd pleaser and very niche. It’s giving I’m cute and I want your love kind of boy but I’m also independent and this is just a game to me. Subversive. From the moment you spray it on your skin you’ll know it’s different, almost like an exotic vanilla that came from another world. I would argue it’s meant to be worn by men who are at peace with their feminine side. Definitely meant to be worn during winter. Adaptable to both day and night. Good sillage and longevity for an eau de toilette, although not outstanding regarding that matter. Not a safe blind buy. I can see myself using this while trying to lure a guy into my fun little love game. Kinky. Wouldn’t use it on a first date unless you’re bold and are looking for someone who’s equally different minded. 9 out of 10.

I really don’t understand why when I finally bought a bottle of this is us! 2 years ago it smelled so good like the sample I had for a couple month before turning into a chemical cheap non pleasant smell. I don’t even remember the original perfume I fell in love with. Am I the only one with a similar experience with this perfume ?

astralmonad870

Yes like the reviewer below I totally agree that this smells like ginger biscuits. It's heavenly. You could treat it as a more budget-friendly dupe for the holiday-seasonal scent Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit.

Varsta

This perfume smells like gingerbread to me, lovely!

DichterundDenker

This is my insider tip! A very, very good designer with clear niche quality. Unisex! At first, this fragrance smells a bit synthetic. But it is an extraordinarily beautiful synthetic.

It becomes slightly powdery and the result is one of the most beautiful vanillas in the world of fragrances. Musk and sandalwood round off the course wonderfully. The drydown is heavenly.

This is Us is something very special for me!

sleepingbeau

I was given a sample of this and I had to try it. Notes sounded very good on paper so I was surprised to see myself hate this. It reminds me of the way Stradivarius stores smell if you've ever been to one. The opening was very off-putting, I could only smell wood and patchouli which I guess is what's throwing me off. Vanilla comes through later on, but I'm not convinced. I'm also someone who loves woody scents but this one is far too overwhelming, I don't think it lets the vanilla shine. It's more feminine-leaning to me despite being unisex but I don't wear perfumes by gender anyways.

JayR79

Durex Vanilla.

davidstopka

Beautiful fragrance. The vanilla is really well done and smells amazing with the wood notes. Sillage is mid, but longevity is pretty solid i would say. I think both men and women can wear this - the sweet vanilla makes it feminine but the wood/patchouli makes it masculine so it depends on who wears it. For the price, its just amazing.

ScentedPlaza

Value for money! Great for wintertime & festivities.
Makes me think of gingerbread cookies.. juicy ginger with holiday spices, creamy sandalwood and vanilla musk drydown.
This perfume creates a fine transparent cozy cloud around you.. cashmere shawl!
My Youtube channel: @SanneParf

h4rdgore

the perfect vanilla scent. it's the best I've ever smelled. the opening is very boozy, kinda like absolut vanilla vodka. it then goes to a pina colada-ish scent and settles to a beautiful, creamy gourmand vanilla. it's cozy and sweet, lasts all day and isn't sickening or overpowering at all. one of my favorites, for sure!!

lanabroz

Cinnamon cookies and milk

I really, but really don't understand rates for this scent.
It's so cosy, soft, comforting, sexy, intoxicating, simply BEAUTIFUL.

I first got it for my daughter and fell in love with it, so i got it for myself too.

I find it somewhat similar to Psychedelic Love from Initio and also to Xerjoff Italica (but way better than Italica)

Longevity and sillage are moderate, and it needs respraying, but it's still a compliment getter and worth money.
I wear it all year around, because even if it's on gourmand side its sweetness it's under control and i think a confident man could easily pull it out as well.

iro222

Very sweet and cosy, mostly for cold weather. It reminds me of biscuits and milk.

davidstopka

This is just so good! Heavenly vanilla and wood. Really sweet, smooth and creamy but its not cloying and its definitely unisex - it doesn´t smell too feminine or too masculine. I am a man and i love to wear this.

Perfumelover2003

What can I say about this is us, I received it as a gift, I had the amazing this is him by Zadig Voltaire and this is us was a good suprise for me,
It's not a flanker as I thought but a very nice scent on it's own
Sweet , creamy and slightly powdery too , remind me as I watched a YouTubechannel :
Marco 4 U Perfumes
described it as a vanillic buttery caramel fragrance and I have to agree on that!
It's a complimented fragrance if I spritz 12 , awesome for fall ,winter or date

lizedb7

whenever i wear this scent i get so many compliments. Also a great sillage

blueally

I have a sample. It's a nice, simple sandalwood and vanilla, with pachouli giving it more spice in cinnamon-y, fizzy way. I know sandalwoods that fit my liking better, so no full bottle for me.

ariers

Sweet but not sickly so, creamy, cosy, this is for me ticks all the boxes. The first notes remind me of cinnamon somehow, it comes off really strong. When i first smelled it i was put off by that initial splash. But seconds after i couldn’t stop smelling my wrist, it was an addictive scent. The vanilla in this one takes over the other notes but i can still smell the sandalwood. It all blends together in a scent reminiscent of cashmere.
I actually prefer This is Us to This is Her (or the green version which name i couldn’t remember) because it’s softer and fresher. This is Her to me seems too sweet.

The longevity is quite okay, on me i don’t feel that it lasts as much as on others (i’d say it’s around 4-5 hours? That or my nose already got used to it)

This is a great fragrance for vanilla lovers that want a atraightforward scent, but also cosy and cashmere-like. Strong and delicate at the same time

Youlerie

The top note makes me think of a chemical disaster in the coffee factory. Disgusting and disturbing. What a pity!

Nimu

it's so sweet and aromatic.Like a liquid called virginia blend i used for vaping.

Esmeeparfume

Adults by kilian is my favorite fragrance and this was marked as a dupe. Insprayed it on and it smells so nice on my skin. It starts like cinnamon and almost ambery and afterwards it smelss more powdery and woody like the cashmere and the sandelwood. If anyone knows an exact dupe to adults by kilian let me know but I lover this one already. Ive ordered a big bottle and after a day i can still smell it on my skin. Will try the this is her and this is her freedom next to see if i like those too

stefani valini

This perfume is so underated, its better than this is her in my opinion. The opening leans more masculine, but it disapear to became sweet and creamy vanilla scent. The sandalwood elevate the scent with somes spices (not listed???) Definitly recommand it.

LauraB9525

Simple, soft, cozy and playful.
Those were the fist thoughts I got when I first wore this fragrance.
The light sweetness from the vanilla note makes it perfect for people who are not a fan of chocking sweet fragrances like cotton candy, though still want something soft and woody in the same time.
The projection and longevity are not the greatest, but it makes it a good choice for when you're in doubt what to wear and don't want something complicated.

gg23

Musk and vanilla. Very simple. Quite weak. Nice (it's hard to dislike musk and vanilla), inoffensive, good for all seasons, very bland and not interesting. I don't understand this release. Just not for me. 5/10

Kaywees

I love This is Her but I sometimes find it can be a bit too much for intimate occasions. This is like slightly more respectable sister fragrance.
I love it! I bought it as a blind buy and discounted due to opened box. Read the reviews here and was pretty certain I would love it. I wasn’t wrong. It’s lovely.

Marie76

This is a sharp, powdery, woody vanilla. I like the opening, it's original for it's sharpness, but the dry down is not so appealing to me somehow, as if it lacked an ingredient. Cosy and wintery. Unisex, I agree.

wdpnrds

Simple and addicting vanilla

amandawilliamspalmer

Great cosy perfume. Layers really well with other scents. Better in the summer than This is Her.

gritzalimaria

Well this is a Very good perfume, Very soft creamy sandalwood with vanilla, sweet enough and nostalgic too. I don't like the bottle though. And i have this problem with bottles- I want the package equal to the juice... But this perfume disserves a 4 at least.

Midnight Lady

The initial impression was very heavy in patchouli-woody terms. That moment it felt very masculine. After a few minutes the first shock dissapeared and the scent morphed into a lot of sandalwood on a typically Zadig synthetic vanilla pillow. I don't find it powdery but more like creamy/lotion character. Definitely unisex.

Well, although this isn't me at all and I don't like it, I have to give Z&V credit again for going their own, specific way.

4/10

Pashmina95

« This is Us » is the simplest nice perfume, well done. Completely unisex. Contemporary (in sense of purified style) but a bit nostalgic too.

I think the concept about community of free people, nomadish urban style is really conform to the scent. It’s a crowd pleaser with good taste.

This perfume is really interesting to layer with other fragrance, specially in the same vanilla/woody/spicy category.

The longevity isn’t good imo but maybe is just me. That’s not really a problem for me because I see this scent rather like a « Cologne splash » or an adjuvant (a booster) for other scents.

2lipsinHolland

I wound up falling in love with this after testing it on paper and skin for two days and springing for a bottle. It is a real changeling. I find scent molecules fascinating because sometimes they are linear beasts, sometimes they trigger anosmia and you cannot smell a thing. I was particularly attracted to trying this fragrance because it is a combo of several of the popular scent molecules combined. It goes through these very sheer light creamy woody phases, it has earthy nuances, it's a blast of clean musk - it settles into a vanilla powder, no wait it's musky and earthy again, and so on. For me - the easiness of wearing this that is mentioned by other reviewers is that it changes so much and yet doesn't smell like any specifically identifiable note.

sisina96rv

Oh my goodness!
I must laugh at these reviews!
And no, I am not going to trust the reviewer below by any means!
This is SO similar to Affinessence Santal Basmati - just without the rice note. I have got 15 ml of it - because 100 ml costs 375 Eur.

YES.

And this around 60 - 70 Eur. Or less. This is a fantastic concoction of smooth, very smooth, coffee like sandalwood without that sour dill note + I swear I smell cardamom + vanilla, which I have mistaken for a tonka bean, because it is sweet just right enough. Oh boy, if I could distill the rice somehow and throw that extract into this perfume, I would never need Santal Basmati.
This is Us is of very high quality and a eternal longevity. On a testing paper it smelled 2 months. I have finally found a full bottle for a ridiculous price.

Suncica7

Honestly, right there from the bottle, not even on the paper, not to tell on the skin- it stinks to my nose.
Not unisex if you ask me.
Old vintagy vanilla like the cheapest fake version of Dolce Vita.
Not complex, just the cheapest vanilla.
And I forever adore vanilla but in this - never thought it could smell so bad.

talkaboutscents

A fruity musk overdose on a vanilla base with creamy, lactonic sandalwood reminiscent of the Mysore sandalwood profile. For 60-70 euros I think it's not worth it, though the scent itself is calming and personally reminds me a lot of one of the shampoos I used at one point, was either from Dove, the one with the avocado visual in the packaging, Nourishing Secrets collection, or the one from Palmolive called So Relaxed with supposedly ylang-ylang but it smells like musks and sandalwood.

I'd rather get Katy Perry's Indi (minimal musk for a skin scent that lasts) or Adam Levine for women for less money and similar scent profile. Or even better, Yves Rocher Voile d'Ocre for a more milky-coconutty and richer version of similar DNA.

vanillaorchid

At first I thought this was a tad too fruity for my taste. Reminds me of a banana milkshake or yogurt with vanilla. From this you can already tell it has a fair amount of sweetness, which I love, but I don't think most men would be comfortable wearing this. I challenge you to, if you like it!

It is rather unique, very long-lasting (more than 10 hours!), and decently projecting fragrance. I believe some people might find this cloying in the heat, but spraying moderately would work around that issue. It's not that it's warm, but the fruity sweetness might be too much in certain conditions.

I definitely changed my mind about it: it isn't close to being one of my favorites, but the quality is out of question. You have to try this if you like sweet scents and you want to discover something different and new.

92juanjavier

When I tested it for the first time it immediately reminded me of "Just rock! For her", it is like a less intense version of that perfume, as you read it.
It is pure vanilla with sandalwood, surrounded by a lot of musk, very pleasant.
It seems to be a very successful unisex perume, which everyone will like, it is simple but it smells really good.
Its longevity is good, approximately 6 hours with a moderate sillage, you can feel it all the time.
It has a good price for what it offers.
If you like vanilla or woody perfumes that scream "autumn!", You are sure to love them.

Thnd

Is this any similar to This is Her ?

Miralem

Truth be told, it’s not very complex and it didn’t really impress me at first.
BUT…..the more I wore it the more I began to like it. It had this very easy vanilla scent that can be worn in almost every casual(!) situation. Even received a compliment or two.
So if you’re looking for a nice “every day dumb reach fragrance”, look no further.

Mystères du Château de Dé

A pleasant aroma.... for a vanilla cream soda. For a suntan lotion, or scented candle.

Anoukr

Such a great and unique sent! I love it. It fresh and sweet and very different to anything I’ve ever smelled. I think of fresh laundry when I where it. It doesn’t smell like laundry, but it makes me feel clean and fresh.

Reser

The initial blast is somehow medicinal, it reminds me a cough syrup from my childhood. Not very pleasant, but fortunately it lasts only a few seconds. After that you get a strong sweet fizzy powder smell, if it makes any sense. After 3 to 4 hours the fizzines recedes and the sweet powder remains toned down. Overall feels a bit weird but it will grow on you. Regarding the gender, it is in the same league as Gaultier 2, not in the one of CK One.

Lalouve<3

No, nope.nope! This is a fail from the line. Is is a weird combo that definitely leans more masculine, and that musk added makes it smell synthetic and unoriginal, add to that synthetic-ness, the sweetness of the sandalwood and the patchouli, and the combo is just weird. Nope!a fail this one...

kkaattjjeess

As I do with every Z&V review I will start with praising them for the unique DNA their scents all share. You might love them or hate them but gotta admit there's just something strange (in a good way) about them. This is the 4th one I'm buying (enjoyed the other 3 apart from the pink-yellow bottled one which is still ok but not that great).

I had high hopes for This is us, and while I'm not super disappointed, I somewhat am. Their 'motto' for their perfume is "No gender, no age limit, no borders.". Fair enough, smelling this I would have no idea what gender and age this was concocted for, it smells male, female, childish and old lady-like all in one. I will come back whenever I'm ready for a proper review as currently this is all I have to say, sorry that it's useless. :D

FrkFors

There's a note missing in the pyramid over here.
The notes listed on the official website is:

🌼 Vanilla, cashmere, sandalwood, patchouli & musky notes!

This is really surprising. I love how different this is compared to everything else I own.
It's not sugary sweet or super feminine. It's actually cool.

It's very comforting, woody, aromatic and very unisex. I feel like it's effortlessly sexy and alluring, it is flirty without being blatant. The vanilla, musk and cashmere makes it slightly powdery and warm whilst the patchouli and sandalwood makes it earthy and bold.

I love how it merges with my skin and smells quite natural! There is something here that makes me think about green/unripe clementine if I let my imagination run. Other times I sense mint. It's a clean, fresh, warm and cozy perfume. It makes me feel empowered, confident, sensual and grounded. This is definitely something I would want to wear every day!

SailorV

Mmmh, milky sandalwood!
The opening is so fresh and milky, it really smells like a cold vanilla milk with a hint of fruit added in. Maybe banana, apricot and orange. But there is also clean white musk shining through to balance the composition.
As it dries down sandalwood shines more and more. It really shows its warm, woody, creamy and toasty facets. There is still a hint of vanilla to add a sweetness, almost like brown sugar.
This is quite a simple, but loveable scent. There is nothing scratchy or harsh in this. For some reason I excepted this to have that diffuse, fuzzy vibe you often find in 'molecule' kind of fragrances, but luckily, it doesn't.

On my skin I perceive it as a feminine scent, but I think this might be one of those fragrances that emphasize the wearer's looks and character traits and don't add much of their own. It's not a loud statement scent, more like a soft cocoon to feel comfortable in. So I see no reason why this shouldn't be unisex. In the end perfume is a matter of personal style anyways, and not necessarily of gender.
I enjoy This Is Us much more than This Is Her and I don't think they smell alike, but they make sense together as a part of a collection.
This is a great fragrance for almost every occasion. Only thing I'm not a big fan of is the bottle.

AlanneSedai

According to my perfume shop, in addition to vanilla, sandalwood, patchouli and musk this fragrance contains ‘cashmeran’, which certainly explains the 'foresty' scent I smell.

On me the sandalwood stays more prominent than the vanilla, but they alternate in which I smell. All through it there is clear patchouli giving it an earthy, grounded, smoky quality. This is a gorgeous scent for my skin, only for close encounters. I catch whiffs of this, and anyone coming within arm’s reach might, but nobody else. Perfect for me.

All in all I bought a full bottle after my first try. I will comment on longevity after a few more tries.

Layers surprisingly nicely with 'Musc Noir'.
Layers well with This is Her!.

alit

Seriously uplifting vanilla scent. It's got what was missing in Singature Montblanc for me, which rendered a bit musty and stale in the drydown, whereas This is us! avoids that, despite still being sweet vanilla, almost vanilla ice-cream-like. But it's got some freshness and sort of cooling woodsy note that lift it up. Wonderful casual or date scent where you don't really want to overwhelm people around you but they would still think you smell great. Leans feminine if you care about that stuff.

cranky137

It's a nice and subtle vanilla/sandalwood combination,a smoother version of Vanille Santal by Reminiscent. The creamy scent if perfectly unisex, but the projection is very soft. It could be a nice cosy cuddle scent for lazy Sundays.

Stoyaniliyn

This fragrance is Amazing! Is so Addictive :P Usually i dont like Vanilla Base perfumes, but I LOVE this one! After i try it in the shop, 2 days later i order 100ml bottle.

MyaboSores

I like this, it's nice, but nothing special.

Maybe if it would have had any trace of patchouli, this would have been an interesting fragrance, but it has none. Just a creamy vanilla, clean musk and some sandal.

This smells like a woman's vanilla body lotion. To me it is totally feminine, maybe if a patchouli accord would have been present, it would have some depth, some complexity and some performance.

manygaga

I got a sample of this with my last order. It's a powdery vanilla in summary. In the drydown the creamy sandlewood comes peeping. I don't get a lot of patchouli. I won't buy a full bottle because it doesn't speak to me. Average performance.

vanillaliebhaber

Full disclaimer: this review is after only wearing this perfume for 5 hours. I went into the store today and the sales clerk insisted on spraying this all over me - so this is not a comprehensive long-term review by any means.

First impression: a powdery, woody vanilla with some musk (I smell no patchouli in this?). Not heavy or overpowering by any means and would be well suited for the daytime. I can't imagine this offending or bothering anyone. It smells like a nice body lotion (I think the palmers body lotion smells a lot like this, but don't have it here to compare at the moment). On my skin, this leans more traditionally feminine however I could totally see a man pull this off (and in general I don't believe in gender "rules" for perfumes anyways.)

I think this would be a beautiful scent for working from home or even a nice go to bed scent since it's not overpowering or overly sweet by any means. I can totally imagine putting this on after a pampering bubble bath and slipping into my pyjamas with the scent of this. I'm trying this while it's winter in Switzerland and it's woodiness lends itself well to the colder temperatures. I imagine this working best in autumn and winter. While I do like this, I don't think this would be my first pick during the day-time for leaving the house and definitely not for a night out. Trying to keep my collection somewhat small and curated means I won't be picking up a full-sized bottle of this any time soon.

This did start to fade after the 5 hour mark.

kassinator

I’m waiting too!

Nature Morte

Anybody knows when its out? Can't wait for this anymore...
