RECOMMENDED BLOOD TESTS (WOMEN)

IMPORTANT Blood Tests (they are enough to spot the most common hormonal imbalances):

  • Free testosterone
  • Total testosterone
  • DHT (dihydrotestosterone)
  • DHEA (or DHEA-S)
  • Estradiol
  • Progesterone
  • FSH
  • LH
  • Prolactin

When to test:

Day 2-3 of menstruation (if not possible, try days 4-6): LH, FSH

Day 21 (or 7 days post ovulation, if your period is longer than 28 days): all the other blood tests

OPTIONAL Blood Tests (if your budget allows it and the tests above don’t show anything wrong):

  • SHBG
  • Androstendione
  • Cortisol
  • 17-OH Progesterone
  • TSH
  • Zinc
  • Blood sugar
  • D Vitamin
